Somewhat hard to rate, at the beginning I was quite immersed and it sets up the horror atmosphere so well, all until the first attack, The death animation made me laugh and not long after realised that 'death' doesn't really change much and just sets back a couple minutes. All aside from one area where I think you are supposed to actually hide and such more but I managed to stun and activate the thing that despawns for that segment at least, but I do give it some props for it having more than just a minor setback. The story was okay, wouldn't say it was anything amazing. The models are generally pretty good, judging from the concept art I don't think they are asset packs.

Obs: não tem legendas em português, o que é meio chato para entender melhor a história, sendo que meu inglês é fluente, mas poderiam ter adicionado o português tb. A história em si é interessante mas no final começa a ficar com algumas cenas confusas... e o final não gostei muito. Recomendo... mas com algumas resalvas em relação a história e pelo fato de não ser legendado em português. Os jumpscares não tem muitos. Mas tem jogos de terror melhor que esses ai na steam.

It really pains me to write this, but... I can't recommend this game [b] to people who play games like I do. [/b]

I use to go around, look at everything, explore... And this game is really about that.

In this game, you can pick [u] almost every single item up[/u].
I had the feeling that this was going to be tedious immediately when I understood that I was going to waste most of my time just looking at everything and reading everything there is to read in the game.

After around 30min of playing, I had only explored two rooms, I got bored, quit the game and uninstalled it. I'm frustrated that I bought this game a while ago because otherwise, this would have been my very first refund.

I must salute the time, the efforts, the dedication the dev(s ?) put in this game. Allowing every item imaginable to be picked up, examined, with various description and text written on several of them must have been a tremedous effort.
Alas, it's what drove me away. Instead of focusing on the gameplay, the story, whatever there is in this game, I got caught in my nosy-gamer-playstayle in which I feel a compulsive need to look at absolutely everything.

Made no progress, felt like there was something with me in the house for few seconds at a given moment, but didn't even get to see what it was as I was occupied reading stuff on old VHS tapes.

Also, another frustrating point : you can't run and you're painfully slow.

I wouldn't play this game even if it was free for the reasons I mentionned.

Бездонное уныние во всех смыслах, посредственный сюжет с сумбурной подачей, даже в отсутствии моушн-блура глаза от местной картинки все равно вытекают, постоянное свистопердение в ушах, геймплей - бесконечное хождение по огромному дому в поисках срабатывания скрипта(как правило в таких играх ограничивают количество доступных комнат, открывая и закрывая при необходимости - здесь же почти все всегда открыто и ты в душе не ебешь, где нужный предмет/скрипт), отвратительная механика местного призрака, нифига не страшно в придачу.

TLDR: Highly recommended on sale.

This felt fairly basic for a horror game, but I think it had really good bones. The creator is very skilled and I am impressed to have learned this was a solo project for most of its development. I hope he will create more, as I would love to see how he grew as a creator after Infliction. I would expect great things as I think he has a lot to offer. I also loved how, after completion, you can get a sneak peek into the development process with the bonus area. Here you could view all the art, see deleted sequences and models, and read a little about his process.

I don't see much potential for repeat playthroughs, though I am not a believer that every game needs this. I do, however; think there are a few things that hold Infliction back. I did find a lot of mechanics to be partially (or completely) broken - and for this reason I will recommend this on a sale, but not at its full asking price of $20 USD. I think 50% or more off the price would leave you happy with the purchase if ghost horror is your jam.

As for the things that hold the game back, hiding seemed to be broken much of the time. The prompt sometimes was there and other times wasn't. Sometimes the ghost would clip through objects meant to protect you and get stuck, just standing there till you come out and die. Other times she just patrolled endlessly close by, leading to the same outcome - getting bored and just accepting death to continue. Often death seemed preferable, because then she would go away long enough for you to move through the space unthreatened. Lastly, the camera flash did not seem to work as intended most of the time when it came to dealing with her directly. Making her a more formidable foe than I suspect was originally intended.

All these things lead to the ghost becoming less scary due to an "Oversaturation" of sorts. The more you get a good look at her, the more you die, the less scary and threatening she becomes - and your death just turns into a part of pushing the game onward while you begin to desensitize and embrace rather than avoid it.

To clarify, this recommend is not a reluctant one, Infliction is 100% worth it and I very much enjoyed the game. My boyfriend and I played this side by side (over PS5 and PC) taking us 7 hours to complete. We read every book and stopped to appreciate every painting we could. Some of them were perfectly disturbing and made us feel quite unsettled on top of the tension the house already had. You can tell a lot of love and attention went into the creating the visual assets. It was grotesque and gory, but I never felt like it was overdone or just to be outright nasty or shocking.

Lets be honest... when looking for a good game "you really do have to wade through a river of ♥♥♥♥ to find a diamond in the rough." (Well played McCleary)

The gameplay was exciting and suspenseful and often dialed the pucker factor to 10. It builds pressure well as so many things are vying for your attention while you can feel the deadly urgency of being hunted. Whether or not there was influence from such, I felt a lot of PT and Visage in this game - Which (in my opinion) are great sources of horror to pull inspiration from.

Well done Caustic Reality.
I really needed a winning game.

Ah boy, this is definitely one of those “P.T” style walking simulator horror games where it’s very light on mechanics.
The house being so stupidly big reminded me of “Visage” also. And similarly you’ll be wandering aimlessly waiting to trigger something spooky to move the narrative forward
And the whole time, it’s telling this story thats very similar and cliche to all of these style of games. Admittedly I didn’t play much but this feels very dated.

Infliction is a first-person horror game. Your objective is to explore the house, trigger scripted events, and hide from enemies while you search for a way to vanquish the spirit. The objectives are easy enough, and this game is basically a walking simulator with some hiding mechanics. You can examine certain items of interest to unlock memories, which is like collectibles. You have a flashlight and a polaroid camera at your disposal. You can take photos with the camera in the environment to reveal hidden clues and surprises you wouldn’t normally see. The camera can also be used to stun the ghost.

The ghost of the murdered girl serves as the main—and essentially only—enemy in the game, aside from one brief section where you need to slip past a butcher. The ghost is vulnerable to sudden bursts of light, such as flipping a switch or using a camera flash. These quick flashes temporarily stun her and force her to disappear for a short time.

Takes place in a modern house with two stories, attic, and a basement. The layout of the house is simple and straightforward. The house is very dark, with only your flashlight to guide you. During certain parts of the story you also get teleported to a few different linear areas.

The horror mainly comes from the game’s dark, eerie atmosphere and the constant sense of being haunted by a ghost. It aims for a vibe similar to Silent Hill P.T., though it doesn’t quite reach the same level of quality or tension.

[h2]Visual Design & Sound Design[/h2]
The horror manifests through classic paranormal cues—creaking floorboards, doors slowly groaning open or slamming shut behind you, disembodied whispers, flickering lights, unsettling paintings, and more. The ghost itself is a disturbing figure: a pale girl in a blood-stained white dress, with long black hair, black demonic eyes, and streaks of dried green vomit running from her mouth down her chest. When she’s nearby, the screen distorts with an old VHS-style tearing effect that intensifies as she draws closer, much like the escalating interference in Slender. As you dig deeper into the story, the house itself becomes more “fractured”—rooms change and reality shifts.

[h2]Constructive Criticism[/h2]
There is not much actual gameplay in this game; mostly a walking simulator.

When the ghost catches you, it throws you to the floor and plays an animation where it stomps on your face with a goofy sound effect before the screen fades to black. I couldn’t help but laugh every time I saw it. At first, I had no idea why this animation existed—it looked downright ridiculous. Later, it clicked: there are several moments in the game where, after completing an objective, the ghost is supposed to catch you and transport you somewhere else for story progression. The stomp animation is simply the developer’s way of signaling that you actually died and weren’t meant to be caught. Still, I feel like this could have been conveyed in a way that felt less comical and more in line with the game’s tone. I felt the same way about the butcher encounter—when he catches you and hurls a meat cleaver at you, the whole sequence feels unintentionally comical rather than frightening.

[h2]The Verdict[/h2]
Infliction is a simple but effective horror experience. Most of the gameplay revolves around exploring the house, examining objects, and piecing together the story through what you read and hear. I enjoyed the ending and appreciated the game’s numerous nods to classic horror movies.

The sound design is definitely the game’s strongest element. Audio plays a major role in the scares—creaks, whispers, ambient noises, and the ghost’s unsettling audio cues are all well executed. The game did manage to creep me out, though not as intensely as some other titles in the genre. The comical death animations lower the game’s rating, as they break immersion and undermine the horror experience.

Unbindable controls. Why is this a thing in 2025? Right away you can tell it's an asset flip, everything looks clean and plain if that makes sense. Everything about it just screams low quality. No ability to sprint or even walk faster and the walking speed is snail's pace. The one thing I did love is that you can pick up just about every object and rotate it around and look closely at it. I don't know why, but I love doing that in games, unfortunately it's basically a novelty here and didn't serve any purpose in my short time with the game. I don't know, it just ain't for me.

游玩时长不超1小时即可通关+全成就，建议打折入手。
没什么故弄玄虚的故事，基本上一打眼你就能知道发生了什么。短小精良，通关后可以选择章节完成成就，甚至还有彩蛋，画廊，和新游戏+。用来扩充你的独立恐游库也是一个不错的选择。

A very delightful horror game. Short, at 3-4 hours, but the game respects your time. You can die, but it never got frustrating. Clues were easy to navigate. The story was good, and it had some relatively good scares. Honestly, the story feels like a better Layers of Fear, as I found that game frustrating at most times. Je ne comprends pas les évaluations globales très positives... J'avais peur au début, l'ambiance était bonne et les screamers ou changements d'ambiances me donnaient des sursauts mais au bout d'à peine une heure de jeu, c'était toujours les mêmes choses, le scénario n'a aucun sens et le jeu fait exprès de te faire faire des allers retours sans pouvoir marcher plus vite. Quant au bout de la 5ème fois tu te fais tuer par le fantôme en sachant que des fois c'est scripté des fois non, tu sais plus vraiment alors tu te prends une belle surprise quand tu dois tout recommencer. Il y a encore beaucoup de détails que je trouve vraiment nuls mais je n'ai pas envie de faire pavé encore plus long, j'ai déjà perdu 3h de ma soirée pour y jouer et c'est un énorme regret. Je ne peux absolument pas recommander ce jeu, car il ne présente aucun aspect positif. Au contraire, il souffre de nombreux problèmes :

- Il ne parvient pas du tout à installer de la peur, et le seul sursaut que j'ai eu était provoqué par le bruit de mes propres pas.
- Les graphismes sont de très mauvaise qualité.
- Le personnage ne peut pas courir et se déplace à une lenteur exaspérante.
- Le jeu est incroyablement linéaire, ressemblant plus à un couloir qu'autre chose.
- Les traductions sont à moitié faites, ajoutant à la confusion.
- Les énigmes, s'il y en a, sont d'une simplicité primaire.
- La durée de vie du jeu est lamentable, avec seulement 2 heures de jeu, même en prenant le temps d'inspecter chaque recoin.

En bref, je vous conseille vivement de passer votre chemin et d'opter pour le jeu "Visage" à la place.

Infliction - довольно жуткая бродилка с большим количеством скриммеров.
По сюжету нам предстоит играть за главу семейства, у которого явные проблемы с головой. В ходе повествования будем находить "воспоминания", которые ответят на многие сюжетные вопросы и познакомят нас с нелёгкой жизнью главного героя и его семьи.
Геймплей тут довольно прост - ходим, ищем, нажимаем и прячемся. За нами будет охотиться призрак и еще несколько "существ". Локаций тут довольно немного. Основная локация - дом семьи. Из него мы будем попадать в полицейский участок, психбольницу и прочие небольшие локации. Отмечу качественное звуковое сопровождение, играть однозначно в наушниках, тогда эффект будет полным.
После прохождения игры откроется режим выбора главы, что позволит собрать все достижения, которые пропустили по ходу прохождения сюжета.
В целом - солидно, быстро и непринужденно. Проходится за вечер. Танцев с бубном при прохождении нет, при получении ачивок тоже.

惜しい！最後で評価が変わってしまった惜しいホラーゲーム。

ヒントが光ってたり簡単な謎解きでサクサク進んで先が楽しみだったのですが、
最後の最後で何をしたらいいのか分からなくなった上、締めくくり方が「？？？」だったので、
まとめきれなかった感が凄くてオススメ出来なくなりました。
勿体ないなぁ！という感想で、ゲームの構成を考えさせられる内容でした。

This might just be the absolute WORST horror game I have played in my entire life and trust me I've played more ♥♥♥♥♥♥ horror games than I'm willing to admit. I find it to be genuinely impressive how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is and I want the creator locked up for wasting damn near three hours of my life. I would rather watch paint dry for three hours than play this absolute abomination of a game. I would sincerely recommend playing any roblox horror game over this atrocious piece of fiction. The only scary thing about this game is that it doesn't end sooner.

《Bright Light, Bright Light》这个成就我愿称之为这个游戏中最令人心惊胆战的地方，时钟倒计时的滴答声，容易被按坏的电灯开关，以及不知道啥时候会蹦出来的女鬼。
另外，游戏有个会让人卡关的恶性bug: 当你拿到婴儿房的照片后，重启游戏，会使照片放在你背包里，不会再刷新出来，以至于你不拿起照片无法走出婴儿房，玩家不得不开启新游戏。希望官方能修复。
总体来说，这游戏恐怖氛围做得很好，高能不多，但次次都是惊心动魄，非常推荐。

剧情就是主角回家，结果碰上了一系列诡异的事情，并逐渐知道真相的故事
一开始氛围确实很吓人，但到后面就多多少少适应了，因为游戏流程大差不差，无非就是找东西，被杀循环，不过jump scare确实防不住，地图很小，道具也有提示，解密相对不难
看见鬼除了有一关躲不开，其他的碰上就给它杀吧，反正复活后它就不在那了
适合喜欢恐怖游戏的玩

Das spiel lohnt sich nicht man findet kein bild von diese sarah am besten nicht kaufen und man bekommt auch keine richtige info bei den spiel das man ein key / schlüssel finden soll damit man dort weiter kommt dann. Da ist jedes andere Horrorspiel besser als das hier.

I was expecting your typical run-off-the-mill walking simulator, loaded with cheap jumpscares and a house where you are just looking for trigger points to move on. It's quite different. This game is well crafted and filled with amazing details. The sound design is very creepy and the ghost is an actual threat. It feels like being stuck in a horror movie.

There is a lot of content. You can search for collectibles and the achievements aren't that obvious. When the ghost is near you, things actually start changing like crucifixes can turn upside down, radios start to play or eerie music can be heard. Also the ghost actively searches for you, opens doors and destroys light sources. Her footsteaps were driving me insane and because of all of this, the whole game is feeling alive.

The story isn't anything new but the way the game is revealing all the pieces from the past, combined with so much detail, is making this a true gem. Give it a try if you like walking sims but actually want to feel scared and immersed. There even seems to be a new game plus modee which is harder.

Very positive surprise. Good and interesting story so not basic thousand times seen type of story and no stupid/boring jump scare spam, atmosphere is strongly spooky and anxious sometimes.
Bonus room is very nice addition and all extra stuff what you can found in game when playing/exploring.

게임 밝기가 어두운데 못할정도는 아닙니다. 제가 처음에 플레이 할때는 한글지원이 없어서 제대로 플레이를 못했는데 현재 한글패치가 존재합니다. 게임자체는 스토리도 나쁘지 않고, 게임자체 뷸륨도 적당해서 할만하지만, 솔직히 말씀드려서 2만원 가격대의 게임은 아닌거 같아요.
세일할때를 노려서 적당한 가격에 구매하심이 좋을듯 싶습니다. 게임자체는 재밌습니다.
플레이 타임은 4시간 정도입니다.

やっぱホラゲは怖くなくちゃね

テーマが重めのサイコホラー
舞台は普通の家（自宅）
妻から取ってくるように頼まれた飛行機のチケットを見つけたことをきっかけに異常なことが起き始めます

グラフィックのクオリティは非常に高いですね
さすがアンリアルエンジン製だけはあります

雰囲気やホラー演出も良いですね
けっこう怖いホラゲだと思います
まぁでも自分は直ぐに慣れちゃいましたけど

本作はゴーストに襲われるとゲームオーバーになります
何度もやられると次第に怖いというよりも、鬱陶しいな！と思っちゃうんですよね

概ね満足できましたが、最後の締めはいまひとつ
もう少しクライマックス感が欲しかった

あとは、良いエンディングテーマがあれば…

　良い楽曲だと評価も高くなりますｗ

地下室的门把手上缠着女儿的发带。当我拧动它时，塑料星星硌进掌纹，恍若艾玛五岁生日那晚塞进我手心的粘土项链。手电筒光束扫过水泥地上的粉笔画，那些歪扭的太阳与笑脸正被霉菌蚕食，突然变成用蜡笔重复涂抹的"SORRY"。空气里漂浮的除臭剂气味，是丈夫每次施暴后喷洒的量贩装薰衣草香型。

二楼的婴儿房永远在重置。奶瓶里的配方奶时而温热时而腐臭，监控器雪花屏中的哭声有时像婴儿有时像野猫。昨夜我掀开摇篮的防尘罩，里面蜷缩着被绞肉机处理过的泰迪熊，棉花从眼眶溢出，肚皮缝线处别着张超市小票——正是我买验孕棒那天的消费记录。

最恐怖的不是鬼魂，而是记忆的骗局。当我用DV机回放生日派对录像，画面里的丈夫正在蛋糕前拥抱艾玛，可镜子倒影中的他正掐着我的脖子。录像带快进到末尾，所有宾客都变成血肉模糊的模特假人，而艾玛吹蜡烛的瞬间，火焰突然爆燃成焚化炉的青焰。

书房抽屉里的抗抑郁药瓶永远少一粒。每当我数到第七颗，走廊就会传来滑轮声——那是艾玛的学步车，橡胶轮胎在地板刻下的划痕组成莫比乌斯环。相册里的全家福正在缓慢变异：第一页的婚纱照上，我的头纱渗出脑浆；第二页的孕检报告里，B超影像变成纠缠的脐带；翻到艾玛的满月照时，相纸突然渗出羊水，溺死了试图尖叫的我。

阁楼的门锁在第13次尝试时自动弹开。尘封的行李箱里塞满我撕碎的日记残页，那些"他今天道歉了""或许孩子能改变他"的句子，被血手印盖上了"愚蠢"的邮戳。当我把耳朵贴上通风管道，听见的不仅是老鼠啃噬石膏板的声音，还有2017年平安夜自己的呜咽："求求你别当着孩子的面..."

最终在浴室镜前，我终于看清缠着自己的怨灵是谁。她脖颈的淤青与我锁骨上的指痕完美重叠，浮肿的眼皮里转动着两颗玻璃珠——正是艾玛玩具屋失踪的弹珠。当莲蓬头喷出沸水，蒸汽在镜面勾勒出女儿最后的涂鸦：三个火柴人手牵手站在屋顶，下方用红色蜡笔写着"妈妈，跳下来就能飞"。

此刻游戏存档界面闪烁的"继续"选项像未愈合的伤疤。那些我反复擦拭的血渍、修复的相框、躲避的鬼影，不过是数字化的暴露疗法。真正的恐怖从不在jump scare的瞬间，而在你退出游戏后，发现手机相册里2018年的空白月份，突然多出一张艾玛骑旋转木马的照片——背景里丈夫的手正悬在我后颈，如即将按下删除键的恶魔。
