Deceptive trailer, edited to seem as if the game is a fast paced isometric action game. In truth the movement is painfully slow. Better games would have the decency to have what amounts to the "sprinting" speed in this game as the base movement speed at a minimum. As it stands, I don't feel this game respects my time and that is the worst sin a game can commit.

这游戏最最创新的点也就是最离谱的点是敌我碰撞以后，精力条低的那方会陷入大硬直。
而且这令人蛋疼的大硬直不止一个触发点，敌人某些攻击也会触发，而且我没有任何可以反制的点，这是其一。
如果我快速削减敌方的精力条到达一定值想要靠碰撞来使对方陷入大硬直的时候，他喵的敌人的精力恢复的极快无比，几乎就在我攻击的后摇时间内恢复过来了，这是其二。
我想要恢复精力，就只能靠蛋疼的长按重攻击控制自己长达1.5秒左右，这是其三。
综合下来就是靠蹭刀和闪避来对敌，那我请问你设计以上对战体系的意义在哪？而且游戏本身还没有中文，不推荐。

공격유도하고 달리기로 피했다가 다가가서 한대치고 빠지고 반복...
공격중에 대쉬누르면 무조건 앞으로만 나감. 보스는 대쉬로 스턴주는거 다른 규칙이 있는거같음.
스페이스를 막기버튼으로 고정시켜놔서 인지부조화가 생김. 보통은 스페이스가 대쉬아닌가...
아무튼 키설정만 바꿀수 있었어도 도전했을텐데, 너무 답답해서 못하겠음
Juegazo, muy corto
I've been considering buying this for a long time, as the art is really nice and I don't mind the idea of a slower, simpler soulslike. I finally picked it up on a deep sale not expecting much. There were some shortcomings I was happy to overlook - the game stretches itself to fill non-16:9 aspect ratios, the lack of music or ambience is really plain, the stamina system feels really awkward, and so on.
BUT, there was one issue that I just could not accept, and that is the telegraphing, or more accurately, the complete lack of it. [b]Enemies have literally one pose that they use to indicate that they might, at some point in the future, attack. There's no cue for *when* they will actually do so, nor is there ANY indication if an enemy is in the middle of a combo or has decided that they are done.[/b] This completely eliminates the option to play at all reactively. Instead, combat is even more slow and defensive than you'd expect from the already slow movement and stamina, and doesn't feel fair or satisfying at all.
A short, but great game. Vanripper did a great job with the sprites for Immortal Planet, which was actually the reason why I bought it. Game is a little bit stiff, yet fun
Solid gameplay if you like souls games, interesting setting and story, fun art style. What more could you ask for in a game?

Controles toscos y combate accidentado, al estilo souls los enemigos normales tienen buenas posibilidades contra ti, pero eso es todo lo típico de souls que tiene, animaciones de ataques de apenas unos pocos frames y dificultad elevada que te obliga a farmear los mismos enemigos una y otra vez para tener posibilidades con los enemigos más poderosos. No tengo paciencia, y aunque la tuviera no creo que este juego valga la pena. 3/10.

Immortal Planet is a short 2D souls-like game with an intriguing world setup that, unfortunately, falls short in nearly every aspect. While the premise initially promises a challenging and engaging experience, the reality is riddled with frustrating mechanics, lackluster design, and broken promises.
Let me tell you more about my experience:
1. The Setting
You wake up with no memories of who you are or why you’re here. Through a handful of compendium entries and sparse dialogue, you learn that you are part of a race of immortals stuck which live in cycles which have now been disrupted, and it’s your job now to restore. The premise had potential, but it ultimately goes nowhere. What could have been an interesting story is underdeveloped, leaving the narrative feeling flat and uninspired.
2. Level design
The level design is painfully dull. The game’s four main areas all look and feel nearly identical. They’re composed of rectangular platforms connected by narrow pathways, with each area featuring a minor gimmick that barely impacts gameplay. The only noticeable difference between zones is the color scheme, but switching from green to purple, or purple to red, isn’t exactly groundbreaking. The lack of variety or creativity in the environments makes exploration a chore rather than a joy.
3. Combat
Combat is the heart of any souls-like, but here it’s a frustrating mess. While the game offers a variety of tools, melee combat is the primary focus, and it’s undermined by poor design choices:
• Stamina Management: One starting artifact regenerates your stamina instantly if you dodge through an attack, making it the most useful choice as without it, stamina management is agonizingly slow and tedious.
• Dash Mechanic: The dash doubles as a bash that can stun enemies with low stamina, but if you bash an enemy with high stamina, you get stunned instead. This sounds great on paper but is infuriating in practice because the dash direction is locked to where your character is facing rather than your controller input or mouse cursor. If you’re mid-attack when an enemy attacks, the sluggish response time often causes you to dash into the enemy instead of away from it, resulting in getting yourself stunned. This clunky design leads to frequent, unavoidable deaths that feel cheap rather than challenging.
4. Additional Notes:
• Repetitive Boss Fights: The game inflates its playtime by making you fight four of its five bosses twice, with minimal differences between the encounters. This doesn’t add variety or depth; it just feels like lazy padding.
• Dishonesty from the Developer: At one point, the developer teased the existence of a second ending in the patch notes, only to later admit it was a joke. This kind of dishonesty erodes trust and feels like a blatant attempt to extend the game’s lifespan through false promises.
TLDR
Immortal Planet is a repetitive and frustrating experience that fails to deliver a fair or fun challenge. With uninspired level design, clunky combat mechanics, and disingenuous behavior from the developer, it’s hard to recommend this game to anyone looking for a satisfying souls-like experience.

It's an isotropic Soulslike with geometric 2D art. The gameplay is decently enjoyable and mechanics are added/updated throughout the campaign to keep things interesting. The campaign is fairly short, with a 100% playthrough (discounting the achievement for completing the game on "Nightmare" mode) taking around 7 hours of playtime. Within that 7 hours, there's about 30 lines of text dialogue, so story and lore are practically nonexistent.
If you love Soulslikes and find it on a good sale, it's worth a playthrough. Otherwise, it's just not worth the money.

Да и игровой процесс в таких играх довольно муторный. То есть после каждого отдыха у местного "костра" все враги возрождаются. Поэтому их приходится порой снова ковырять. Также нужно ковырять врагов для прокачки. То есть по сути это усложненный вариант старенькой дьяблы. То есть если в дьябле просто бегаешь и в динамике не нужно следить за уворотами, атаками и просто спамишь удары.
А тут всё медлительно и муторно. Этим и напрягают солс проекты. Точки возрождения порой бывают очень далеко, если не найдёшь какое-нибудь мало-мальски сокращение пути. Да и то не панацея. Порой даже со срезкой нужно бежать до босса несколько экранов. Это очень утомительно. А с учётом однообразного оформления начинает раздражать.
Также есть некоторые нюансы с графикой - почему-то счётчик держится на 45 кадров вместо положенных 60. Притом непонятно, что не смогли тут оптимизировать при такой скудной графике до 60 кадров.
Также расстраивает отсутствие русского перевода. Тут очень много описаний различных моментов прокачки, оружия, приёмов и дополнительных предметов. Но игра 2017-го года и перевода ждать уже глупо... В любом случае игра не особо радует и прошедшие мимо ничего не потеряют.
Зато размер игры шикарен - всего немногим меньше 200 мб. Мало какой солс проект может похвастать такой оптимизацией занимаемого пространства.

unique vibe, nice mechanics.
High quality souls clone with sloppy high boss difficulty. Fantastic combat rhythm and the 2-mode trick weapons feel like they came out of Bloodborne's arsenal. The game was largely unenjoyable after the first chapter, with boss designs that belong in a shmup than a soulslike. Still, very high quality combat with a varied beastiary.
A very fun soul-like game
Attack movement/speed feels clunky and slow for both player and enemies. Would be better to have combat faster flowing. Despite defining healing items as items, relevant use boost from leveling does not affect it, and it would be nice to have that clarified before investing. The grind does not feel good, the ability to reallocate for the point cost of a level or two (without increasing the cost of leveling/subsequent respecs) might've been a good idea. Probably should just give the player access to the starting weapons (and maybe boon-items) from the get-go instead of requiring a reset to choose differently.
Despite taking leveling cues from Dark Souls, this feels a bit like more like a regression into Rogue, though that might just be the perspective.

2. 敌人设定很恶心，敌我双方攻击都需要蓄力条，但是敌人恢复的非常快，因为里面有一个撞击的机制，撞上去和敌人拼蓄力条，低的眩晕，只要给敌人缓一口气，晕的必定是自己。这也导致唯一好用的技能完美闪避，闪避判定很轻松，闪避后恢复所有蓄力条，但是一旦被围攻，闪避撞上了敌人，马上就无了；
3. 无地图，存档点少，其实存档点就一个，就是初始位置，需要到后面找到近道，打开近道才能返回初始点升级什么的，很麻烦。游戏也没有提示，全靠自己悟，要是不知道开近路，新手根本玩不了。
老大爷械斗，主角是讲武德的老大爷，敌人是不讲武德的老大爷。
主角的优点：
闪避基本没有延迟，而且完美闪避的判定很宽松
然后，没有了
缺点，下面是最明显的几个：
1. 喝药的释放时间比boss放法术都长，喝药途中boss放法术，结果喝药后摇没完，来不及闪避吃了波扎实的。狭小的空间也基本不用想喝药了，敌人的攻击间隙是不够喝药时间的。
2. 撞精力条充足的敌人会出现大硬直，这设定有点大病，经常会在狭窄走廊遇到敌人，闪的过程中方向撞到敌人然后直接被打残。某些角度撞上敌人的时候已经无了，再闪还是会撞到，然后继续大硬直，直到被打死。
3. 无法跑酷，有仇恨判定门就不开，甚至有的时候敌人根本不在视野范围也不可能攻击到你，还是开不了门。
4. 精力条空了无法攻击（然而敌人不受影响，精力条空了一样打你）。。

坚持把一周目打完了，然后二周目上来第一个大boss就是一周目最终boss，大概是第一形态吧，有光刃，有跳锤，有激光，有追踪光球，有霰弹枪。主角呢，默认带一个血包，甚至有一个法术位还是空的。

二周目也打完了，除开第一张图boss打了好几次，后面流程其实很顺。二周目选的武器是一把能吸血，能消耗少量血量附魔加攻的长戟，试过的所有武器里最好用的一个，二周目直接从开头用到结尾。二周目魂量很多，升级很快，到后面只要精力够，被怪打中了也容易吸回来，容错率比反而比一周目高很多。二周目的法术和物品，除开药，一个是恢复红条和精力值，释放速度比普通血瓶快很多，危及时刻拿来救命；另外两个，一个是抽敌人精力值，一个是消耗一定血量获得额外精力值，打boss实用性很高，抽完精力条近身找机会把boss撞晕，a到精力耗完拿技能补一次精力继续a，这样几乎能打掉一整管血。二周目的最终boss甚至分身都没放出来过战斗就结束了。
Amazing game
Game is very fun, Short but I think fairly priced for the length. Combat can be a little tedious and easy but still retains some very fun challenging moments.
Imagine Dark Souls. Now make it isometric, boring, slow, clunky and uninteresting. Then you have this game.
The game is incredibly slow and tedious and the actual trailers are sped up.
Fooling anyone that thinks that the gameplay is going to be faster, but it's SOOOOO damn slow.
it does have an interesting artstyle, but the gameplay just makes me want to grind my teeth with how slow and monotonous it is.

A tiny souls gem.
Largely unnoticed, buried under the piles and piles of Souls games that keep coming out every year since the Third Impact that was Dark Souls 1, Immortal Planet is a pretty solid take on the formula, unapologetically indie.
With a fixed isometric camera, square rooms, small enough to not merit a map, obscure souls-like lore, enough content to last me some 5 hours in just the normal run - and featuring a Nightmare Mode for extra pain - I was more than satisfied with the game, considering I also got it for scraps.
It's hardly the most balanced Souls ever, it starts pretty hard, and you are given the choice to go anywhere in the world right away, possibly into way harder areas than you should be visiting, which I think is better than blocking them off entirely. Still, if you follow the intended linear path, the challenge is more than adequate and it costed me my fair share of lives to progress through the game, and most importantly, I usually felt it was my own fault for dying. The only frustrations I had were usually at myself.
If anything, Immortal Planet is too short of the amount of weapons and spells it has, and the fact that it only has one ending (a Bad Ending) almost leaves me with the feeling that the game is not complete. It is, despite whatever I may feel.
Why is there a block button if the enemy takes half of my health regardless?
It's decent fun. Really wish you could remap controls though, I really want to remap the run key somewhere I can actually reach without contorting my hands.

If you are [i]reeeeeeeeeally[/i] interested in the game, buy it with intend of refunding and see if you can beat the game's most difficult boss fight: avoiding a wrist sprain.

It's decidedly rough around the edges, but I like the clean artstyle, the menacing audio & the lore implications / setting.
Pacing wise it's defo on the slow and methodical side of soulslikes, not the DS3/BB "fast and daring" side.
Keep that in mind, even if the trailer looks like a fast hack-n-slash.
I had my frustrations at moments, but overall I certainly don't regret it.

This game move speed is like watching paint dry, this wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the total unfairnes of it all, your stamina depleets fast and it comes back twice as slow, the running spped should be the walking speed, the enemies recover stamina almost instantly, the boss can stun lock you in a corner because if it hits you with low stamina it will stun you for 5 seconds, you do not recover stamina while stuned, this aplies to touching an enemy wiyhout stamina as well, so if you get stuned while the boss is just walking towards you it will stun lock you. This would not be so bad if there was more checkpoint, after defeating the boss and entering the second area i was killed by and respawned at the beginning of the game so i hab to ask the slow NPC with slow dialogue to open the slow gate again every time that i change area, I don't mind the backtraking but the slowness of it all kills me.
half the animations lose their effects before they end so you get hit by a lot of cheap shots some enemies have attacks that go past the effect they have so even more cheap hits and it happens enough to make run backs through areas a annoyance rather than enjoyable and the fact that most enemies are on bridges or small platforms mean you cant even really avoid the nonsense even human sized enemies have more poise so they can use items while getting hit which wouldn't be that bad if they didn't have access to a instant full refill to stamina and the pace of fights makes this feel toxic when both you and the enemy are out of stamina and they just refill it instantly while you recover from using it.
this a great and challenging souls like would not reccomend for people who are easily angered

difficulty soullike with a SCI fi setting. you play as a warrior on a prison planet facing off against armored humanoid enemies with sci fi tech and melee weapons. you got 4 accessories 1 being a heal, and the remaning 3 being different sci fi tech such as guns grenades and laser-plasma weapons. your primary weapon is your melee weapon but the sub weapons come in handy allthough low on ammo that refresh when you rest.
its mildy frustrating with semi long boss runs, you cant skip enemies most of the time since the doors to the next room locks when your fighting a enemy which means you cant progress to the next room until you kill whatever you got agrooed. game is relatively short, id say 4-8 hours depending on skill level and how much you explore. difficulty is high, higher than dark souls and most other soullikes on steam. the combination of 2-5 min boss runs and your char having very low stamina makes the game somewhat challenging, you got quite a few healing potions but healing during fighting is hard, since you got a 2-3 sec healing animation compeared to the sub 1 sec of most other soullike
i had no bugs or problems during my 2 runs. and game runs well enough

进入场景切换的时候，屏幕上会全部黑色，但是主角还保留在画面中，突然跳转到下个场景很不自然，非常突兀也影响观感，不如每次切换的时候画面全部黑色不要保留角色，这样会过渡自然，人物开枪的动作帧数太低了，因该再多画几帧开枪动画，有一些动作帧数还可以多一些，可以加入联机对战模式，用P2P联机。也可以加入生存模式，完全可以再出DLC。
If this game ran at the pace you see in the trailers it would be far more enjoyable. It seems to run at an awkward 40 fps (I'm on a 3080) and it just feels slow. I loved the idea of a souls-like 2d space mystery. The concept and everything is very solid. It just feels like you have ankle weights on or something. The stickiness killed it for me completely.

Es un buen juego que recompensa de manera bastante marcada la paciencia y habilidades del jugador en cuestión. El sistema de combate es sencillo: ataca o hacer parry al primer ataque, esperar que el enemigo pierda la estamina y no tu, estuneralo con un dash y al final golpearlo hasta que ceda. La historia es buena y tiene un plot twist bastante genial al final. Vale la pena y además de que tiene un buen soundtrack a mi gusto

Immortal Planet si presenta come un souls like, il gioco presenta un tasso di sfida molto alto e le varie magie ed armi a disposizione rendono il tutto piu' ''leggero'' e gestionablie in scontri piu' concitati ma dovete fare i conti che una volta usati i colpi questi devono essere ricaricarti nei vari '' falo' '' quindi dovrete usare il tutto con saggezza e precisone perche' qualsiasi danno riceverete fara' veramente male. Immoral Planet come gia' detto il tasso di sfida si alza man mano che si procede nelle varie zone che si presentano molto lineari e facili da capire, dunque se state cerando un gioco difficile ed impegnativo questo gioco fa per vuoi.

I knew nothing about Immortal Planet before jumping in except that it was an isometric hack-n-slash RPG. I was expecting something similar to a Diablo game, but rather than crushing hordes of monsters, it's a much more deliberate and methodical ARPG, much more difficult than your run of the mill isometric ARPG. I've never played any of the Souls games, but my understanding is that this is more in the vein of those types of games. Immortal Planet is a tough game, very much forcing you to play patiently and intelligently, working your way through groups of enemies taking as little damage as possible so you're in the best shape you can be going into the very difficult boss fights. That said, I think the level design was exceptionally good - the levels do a good job of wrapping and removing obstacles such that you might work through three rooms and then unlock a path from your save point to another three rooms to the boss. This leads to an outcome where you're not going through all six rooms to the boss, but instead almost always only 3-4 rooms from the next "unlock" or boss, keeping that element of the difficulty from becoming too unreasonable. I felt like the difficulty scaled quite well through the first two areas (Temple & Archives), though it spiked too strongly in the bosses for the second two areas (Prison & Fortress - *especially* the prison boss. I ended up having to do a few hours of grinding (about 50-60 levels or so - I finished at level 185) to get past the Prison boss, at which point the rest of the game went quite easily. The combat is quite good, and I very much enjoyed the art style. In fact, the game world and the bones of the story were quite interesting. Between that and the challenging but not too-hard difficulty curve, I decided to persevere through the difficulty spike and finish the game out to see its conclusion.
Aside from the too-steep difficulty spike, the other thing that really hurt this game for me was how obscure and vague the mechanics of the game work. Maybe that works for some people, but for me, when a big part of the game's appeal is its difficulty and the core combat loop has to be so well done, those core mechanics have to be more clear. As an example, you find out that you have a mechanic called Blood Viscosity very early on, but you don't know anything about it. As it turns out, that increases the number of times that you can use the healing mechanic before having to rest (and respawn all enemies). This not being clear, I invested points into stats that I didn't want to try getting additional item uses, and when that didn't work, I invested into extra spell uses, which also didn't work because the healing mechanic is neither. As another example, attack damage will sometimes be significantly lower (by like 20-25%) both in the character display and in practice against enemies, which will eventually disappear, and there's no indication of why this is. There's a few things like this that pop up which I found really frustrating, but overall I found the game worth recommending, probably with a 6/10 score.
So why did this finish at a 4/10 score and not being recommended? Mostly the ending, and then everything I found afterwards. The story and the game world were quite interesting and had me invested in how it all turned out, and the ending was extremely underwhelming and disappointing. After defeating the four bosses, the final Temple area was extremely simple and easy. The final area consists of a single boss fight (fairly easy, after the difficult ones that preceded it) and then the ending, which is two lines of dialogue with no satisfaction or payoff of any kind. At that point, having earned the "Bad Ending" achievement, I looked into what it would take to get the "Good Ending" and found that 1) it doesn't exist, and the chief developer (Tomasz Wactawek) actually used it as a troll, saying it was in the game and encouraging people that they were "so close" and such, wasting beta testers time, and 2) the developer (Tomasz Wactawek) was also a total out and out jerk regarding his attitudes towards the players. Go listen to Crit Hit's Coffee Break 3 if you'd like to see a great summary of what went wrong here.
In the end, I was already going to dock the game another point for its awful ending and failing to deliver on such an interesting premise. Then I dropped another point based on the developer being unpleasant and unprofessional. I really wish this was a better game, because this had some really promising bones, but it never fleshed out to really justify that hope and instead ended up being a disappointment. A follow up under new leadership would be extremely interesting, but until such a thing comes to pass, you're probably best off moving on from Immortal Planet.

I finally gave up when I got to some (A ?????????????) object of interest and pressing A (pressing anything) did nothing.
I don't have the patience to play Molasses Alexander. I can't stress just how SLOOOOW everything in this game is. Combat, movement, even your DASH is geriatric. The art style is flat and cartoon-y, which I thought was good. I don't remember any music so I can't say much about it.
This one is a solid not recommended from me. While I'm a patient person, even I have limits.
Frame rates came to an absolute crawl during big boss battles late game, couldn't progress.

Immortal Planet est un souls-like et comme de tradition, l'aventure commence après l'apocalypse et vous allez devoir sauver les meubles.
Tout est sympathique dans ce petit jeu sauf 2 choses :
- Les pics de difficulté sont vraiment très importants. Mais bon, dans la veine des souls-like, on peut s'en accomoder, d'autant que les boss sont intéressants et agréables à affronter.
- Pour contrer ces pics de difficulté vous devrez farmer et améliorer votre personnage. Ce ne serait pas un problème si les niveaux ne se ressemblaient pas tous et n'étaient pas si ennuyeux. Il n'y a pas non plus de musique, ce qui n'aide pas à mettre l'ambiance (sauf pendant les boss).
Notez aussi la chose suivante, qui n'est d'ailleurs pas forcément un défaut :
Les animations très sèches des personnages et la gestion de l'endurance font que les combats ressemblent vraiment à un jeu de rythme. Comme il n'y a pas de musique, bof...
Cet aspect s'efface au bout de la moitié du jeu, ou vous commencez à avoir assez d'endurance pour être plus libre de vos actions.

Присутствуют незначительные баги:
- Можно застрять в дверях, если стоять рядом в момент, когда вас заметил враг.
- А можно застрять на краю, в текстуре прыгнувшего на вас моба.
Половина предметов не несут в себе никакой существенной пользы, словно их добавили просто для количества.
Диалоги на таймере и единственная доступная опция - это пропустить их, а вот вчитаться в особо длинную череду предложений, тем паче русскоязычному пользователю, порой не так просто. Что сводит к минимуму и так довольно скудное общение.
Но самый главный минус для меня - это так называемая НГ+. По сути представляет собой открытие следующей сложности где вам предстоит пройти игру заново. В прямом смысле с нуля, только с более сильными противниками. Ни накопленного опыта, ни собранных предметов из предыдущего прохождения. Разработчики, понимая, что игра получилась короткой, решили растянуть таким образом время. И вместо того, чтобы увидеть склоняющегося пред вами первого босса из "Sekiro", почувствовать новые раскрывающиеся грани "Nioh" или нестись с победным воплем по начальным локациям "Dark Souls" вам предлагают снова терпеть боль и унижение от первого мини-босса (механики которого, откровенно говоря, весьма незатейливы). НГ+ в том виде, в котором она присутствует, не привносит ничего нового. Просто предлагает нам пройти игру ещё раз. В итоге дополнительная сложность компенсируется тем, что все механики и мувсеты игроку уже заранее известны.
Very enjoyable game but if you are like me it will be quite a challenge. I totally missed the optional area (which would have been the next logical step to proceed to level up), I missed that I could buy some upgrades (including a health potion) and I only realized far in the game that you could pick up the health blocks despite yours being full already. I didn’t try the challenges so missed those upgrades as well. Being low level without any healing it was quite frustrating to proceed and fighting mobs before facing bosses (as they could eat a chunk of health before the boss encounter) was quite annoying and time consuming. Ports will close when you are in combat and in itself this concept is quite nice but not when you just want to retry a boss. Most of the game I was cursing about the steep difficulty, but I didn’t want to give up and I simply started farming xp, reconciling I was simply not good enough at this game and thinking I maybe should have chosen some other perks at the beginning. In hindsight things would have been much easier if I would have known what I know now. And, more importantly, the game would have been more fun. I can imagine a lot of people would have given up already.
I think that the developers did a really good job however at creating an original, fun, creative and diverse soulslike game. You can feel that a lot of love was put into this. The isometric setup works really well and although it is a short game (unless you are playing it like me) quality precedes quantity. I’m excited to see what their next project is going to be.

I've never played Dark/Demon Souls but between this game and Hellpoint i'm starting to suspect they're not for me. You die a bunch, lose all your XP and get to replay the same exact area over and over again? Ugh
In Immortal Planet you crawl through a level (seriously, why are you so slow?) and fight clunky battles with enemies. You can only swing your weapon 3-4 times before you are too tired. Blocking doesn't always work well. Dodge also requires stamina so often isn't an option.
You get XP and can level up... which respawns all enemies. Levelling up only increases your stats too, there doesn't seem to be any skills or anything. It's like Diablo or Bastion but with all the fun and flavour cut out with a blunt knife.
I really wanted to like this game but ultimately I deemed it as a waste of time..
The combat feels like someone filmed a stop-motion movie and on top of that, it's very easy to get stun locked and die. It gets repetitive really fast and you either grind mobs and pump up the HP and damage or chip at a boss forever only to die in two hits. The dodge button is unreliable, it sends you all over the place, might even make you bump into enemies instead of away from them or just fall off the map. When you decide you got bored enough grinding mobs for XP, you can just lure the mobs away from the doors, wait for them to open and just go to the next room without bothering to fight.
I'd recommend staying away from this one unless you're the apex of patience or something.
Lots of bad design choices, overly punishing gameplay with no rewards for good execution, cannot change keybindings, terrible default keybindings, unexplained fighting mechanics, uninformative tutorial (same info as keybindings, essentially), no community guides, no wiki, really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying trash mobs, no loot, stats gained for leveling up are unexplained and unintuitive, meaningless animations like opening boxes take way too long, npc dialogue are shallow and don't provide much lore, apparently has good console control mapping which makes it all the more a shame they didn't put half a fart's thought porting to the keyboard, slow and tedious pacing/passive movement speed, lots of unfair attacks that'll force players to only be able to beat a level by repetition, grinding, and memorization (which is never fun as the only way to make progress).
At least Fun boss fights (of the 3 in the beginning that I could stomach grinding to)..?
Overall, too frustrating to play/finish. Would not recommend even if on sale.

This game is awful. As someone else said (sorry, I don't remember which reviewer it was), this game is either to slow to be this punishing or too punishing to be this slow. Either way, don't waste your time.
这款游戏能看出制作者想法挺多的，游戏里包含了血缘里的受伤后攻击敌人会回复红色受伤部分的的血量、武器变形系统、怪物低体力的奖励机制（怪物处于低体力时，对怪物冲刺会是怪物进入长时间的僵直状态，该机制对于BOSS同样有效）、选择出身的物品和武器有不同的体验等等。
但是毕竟是个独立游戏，想法挺多，现实残酷，受伤后攻击敌人回复红色受伤部分的血量需要开头选择第三个物品才有而不是常驻。武器变形只有部分武器才有，而且变形除了出身第二个选项的大刀其他几乎没用。怪物的体力削减在你防御住时削减很大，但是如果你闪避而不是防御怪物攻击，怪物的体力削减较少，而且有可能会因为你和怪物之间距离发生变化导致怪物原地愣一下，然后它就回满体力了。刚开始玩的时候有点只狼的既视感，同样是主要打空（打满）怪物体力（招架条），但是这个游戏由于防御、攻击都是用的体力条，你会发现虽然怪物的体力条空了，你使用冲刺将怪物打入大僵直，但是与此同时你的体力条也已经见底，怪物的僵直时间你最多只能打1、2下，这个时候就体现出大刀的巨大优势，大刀从普通状态变形为展开状态时会回满体力条，所以可以靠普通状态时把怪物打入大硬直，然后变形为展开状态输出满一整管体力。在开头选择物品时的第二个物品效果为完美防御时不消耗体力，但是只是不消耗体力而已，怪物没有任何影响，同时这个游戏的动作非常僵硬，防御松开时有延迟，你完美防御了第一下，结果第二下几乎不可能完美防御，更有可能被怪物击中，被怪物打中时硬直非常大（还包括物品消耗完了但是你又按了使用，在怪物体力没低到一定程度时冲刺撞到怪物身上），人物会有好几秒种的僵直状态，所以还不如一直按着防御。另外，游戏里会有部分地面效果，如火焰、毒等，可能是为了艺术表现，火焰、毒液等在地上会有很多大大小小不同的样子，有部分小一点的是没有伤害判定的，所以作为游戏游玩时，出现这种场景你根本分辨不了该往哪里走，只能估摸着来，体验非常不好。

Quite a good little souls like. There are hidden walkways that can make the game a lot easier. Smaller souls like that i truly enjoyed. If you like souls like games you could do much worse. This game is right up my alley I will recommend to any one who want a mildly difficult little indie game. If you are reading wonder if you should buy I would say go for it if you will have the time to play it.
This game reminds me of a solid fast food meal. You would never call it the greatest but it was good and satisfying while it lasted.
Immortal Planet is an interesting take on the Souls formula, with very polished graphics and a very distinct art style (courtesy of Łukasz Piskorz, creator of Helltaker), very minimalistic musical atmosphere (mainly focused on ambiance rather than a soundtrack per se), strong sound design and a rather satisfying, if complex at first, combat system.
- The narrative is rather straightforward, but can feel a bit aimless since your character never expresses any wants or needs and just follows directions until it is made clear that those directions are all in vain, and then you are met with the opportunity to do something... that is apparently not good for some reason? Since someone else tries to stop you? But that whole bit is never explained so the ending feels a bit underwhelming and confusing.
- The lore is much stronger than the story itself, with you uncovering information about the world, culture and traditions of your race through the detailed descriptions of the different items and enemies you encounter throughout the game (and some sparse dialog). I found this "background history" rather intriguing and I liked how some of those aspects were implemented in the gameplay itself, but if you're looking for a more traditional narrative, with a strong build up and a satisfying conclusion... this ain't it.
- The gameplay is mainly combat-focused, with the player gaining exp with each kill and being able to invest said exp into skill points that increase your strength, stamina, health, etc. It's a rather simple leveling system that doesn't allow for much variety but it gets the job done.
The game utilizes the classic “get to the point where you last died to recover your lost exp” gameplay loop that Souls players will be familiar with, along with some other similarities like being able to parry attacks, dodge, a healing item with a certain amount of uses, a stamina bar that you have to keep track of… However, it does have some interesting mechanics that make it stand out from other games in the same vein, like being able to charge your weapons, changing their fighting style drastically.
With a fair amount of enemies inhabiting the different levels, and 4 distinct “zones” you can freely visit after finishing the starting area (with a 5th one being sealed off at first), the game lets you roam around at your own pace. This does not mean, however, that they all share the same difficulty level, and I would urge you not to try to beat the Fortress area before finishing up either the Archives or the Prison, because the difficulty spike between the introductory area and the Fortress is quite steep.
- The controls are mostly tight, with some frustrating exceptions (like falling off a ledge through a gap your dash should have easily cleared). A controller is very much recommended since it makes it easier to utilize all the items and powers you have available during a tough battle, which... let's say there are quite a few in there.
- The pacing is deliberately slow and the game feels a bit dense at some points but you are meant to die and repeat, try different approaches, be mindful and careful to be able to recover your lost exp before dying again without having gotten it back, and try to use the multitude of items, powers, weapons and combat styles the game offers.
TL;DR: Quite a solid Souls-like with an interesting but obtuse lore, bit of a messy ending, competent controls, slow pace, very cool and rather challenging fights, strong art direction and a reasonable price point.
I quite recommend it, but I do realize it's not for everyone, and if you get easily frustrated or prefer faster paced games (or just don't like the souls formula) it's probably not gonna be your cup of tea.
If you're okay with hard and slow, though, you'll most likely enjoy it.

This game is an awesome Souls-Like. I personally played with a controller, so I can't attest to the keyboard controls; everything is rather fluid, movement and controls wise. Fights are rather strategic and require patience, but sometimes being aggressive is good. Most enemy actions are clear and easy to tell what they are doing, I only remember one boss fight being kinda janky and irritating.

Hikayeyi bir kenara bırakırsak oyun, türe bir kaç yenilik getirerek ve souls-like özelliklerini temelinde koruyarak güzel bir iş çıkarmış. Öncelikle ilk göze çarpan en büyük farklılık kamera açısı ve oynanışa etki eden izometrik grafikler. Bununla birlikte platform olarak sayılabilecek bölüm tasarımlarına sahip. Bu sebeple kaçınma hareketi çoğu zaman aşağıya düşmemizle son buluyor. Tabii bunu lehimize kullanıp düşmanları da aşağıya itebiliyoruz. İtebilmek konusuna gelince, burada denenmemiş bir yenilik bulunmakta; oyunda dayanıklılık (stamina) barı biten düşmana yaptığınız kaçınma hareketi onu kısa bir süre etkisiz hale getiriyor. Bu da strateji ve bir gözünüzün kendi, diğer gözünüzün de düşman dayanıklılığında olmasına neden olmakta. Açıkcası boss savaşları dışında çoğu kendimden güçlü karakterleri bu strateji ile geçtim.
Boss savaşlarına gelirsek, 8 büyük, 3-4 küçük boss ve 4 challenge'a sahibiz. Challenge'ları bitirmeden kalıcı olarak iyileştirmeniz yükselmiyor. Savaşların ve tasarımların kaliteli olduğunu belirtmekte fayda var. Özellikle her bir karşılaşmada aslında platformla da savaşıyor, bu da zorluğu arttırıyor. Oyun gerçekten zor, uzun zamandır bu kadar zorlandığım bir oyun olmamıştı. Özellikle kaçınma hareketini yaparken aşağıya düşmeme ve düşmana çarpmamayı da göze almak zorunda kaldığınız için bir hayli zorlanıyorsunuz.
Oyunda müzikler, özellikle de boss savaşlarında sizi heyecanlandıracak kadar güzel. Ancak seslendirmeler yok, karakter konuşmalarında pek sıkıntısını görmesem de bazı boss'ların konuşmasını isterdim. Vuruş hissiyatı ve düşman çeşitliliği de oyunun süresine göre hiç tekrara düşmüyor. Beni rahatsız eden sadece bölümler arası geçişlerin birer zindanmış gibi gösterilerek kopukluk yaratması, bunun dışında pek bir eksisi yok.
Zorluk, hareketler ve bir çok yönden Dark Souls'a selam çakan Immortal Planet, yine bazı göreceğiniz karakterlerle de gönderme yapıyor. Oynayanlara süpriz olsun, ancak ben oyunu oldukça beğendim. Uzun zamandır bu kadar farklı ve zor bir souls-like oyun oynamamıştım. Değeri pek anlaşılmamış, kıyıda köşede kalmış Immortal Planet'i türü seven herkesin kaçırmaması gerekir.

What a nice hidden gem (for me at least). Immortal Planet is a good souls-like game. Souls-like meaning you have to manage your stamina bar and learn the attack pattern of your enemies with a dash as your dodge. The stunlocks are sometimes infuriating. In combat you have to take your time or else one mistake takes alot of health from you or worse you die and then you lose all your souls or xp points in this case. So you have to retrieve them or you will lose all the points if you die again.
The atmosphere is really good. It makes you feel very alone in this game.
But in my opinion the story is the weakest part in this game. Partly because it somehow got lost in the delivery. The NPCs were not really interesting and the dialogue sometimes was skipped automaticaly I think.
Overall I had a blast finishing this game and it is a short game if you are good enough.

Fantastic Game.
Just thought I bought a little game to kill some time, but I was wrong. Combat system is precise and epic, story engaging, art is gorgeous. If you feel you could like this, give it a try : you will. you will need to be patient, careful, determined, but at the end, you will prevail, because the game, even if sometimes tough, is definitely fair, and deserves more praise.
