Casual idle game about mining in a cave.

Thought I'd end up killing a few hours, instead I've been playing it on and off for the past few weeks. Its the sort of game where you can either spend as little or as much time as you want with it. Plenty of upgrades and cosmetics to unlock so this'll keep me going for a few more months still.

1.You can earn paid coins easily (gems), so buying gems is redundant, but the option is still there for people who got the money, You can earn everything without ever buying anything.

I really don't understand the mixed reviews for this game.

It does need a bit more character development and maybe another system or two to keep the user a little more engaged but the base game itself isn't bad at all.

You have characters that mine and collect resources, you smelt those into bars and then use those bars for gems. You use the bars and gems to upgrade your characters so they deal more damage and move quicker.

You unlock more mines as you play and can switch between mines to gather different resources based on what you need. Overall it is a decent idle game. There are far worse games out there trust me.

This game is pretty good so far. Did not see the mtx that people keep talking about, they are locked away by default and are not needed at all to play the game. Try it free on mobile and if you like it buy it here instead of paying for the no ads pack on your phone. Lots of free incrementals that end up not being free this one is worth the price.

タイトルはアイドル(Idle)なのに実態はクリッカー(Clicker)だというタイトル詐欺
ただしIdleゲーとしても十分遊べる
しかしクリックする意味があるアイデアは優秀だと思う

翻訳は少し怪しいところもあるが内容の理解には問題ない感じ

这么多差评不冤，买断游戏带内购也就算了，毕竟是手游移植

但是这个锻造速度简直慢的让人崩溃，玩的前两天还行，中期一个绿宝石就要3分钟锻造时间，用绿宝石的挖矿升级一次要2500个绿宝石，全部升满大概要10万宝石，等于加起来要锻造接近一万个小时？

绿宝石还只是中期的材料，后期的更慢，我只能认为是后期内容太少在强行拖时间了，在手游里这样偶尔打开一次勉强能玩，上steam买断还玩这一套那我只能给差评了

광부는 자동으로 광석을 채굴하며 저장량을 채우면 트레일러로 가져갑니다.
플레이어는 클리커방식으로 채굴이 가능하며, 화면을 클릭하거나 꾹 누르고 있으면 자동으로 거리에 상관없이 흙을 파내고 광석을 수집하죠.

흙은 체력이 존재하며 0이 되면 제거됩니다.
기본적으로 골드를 지급하며, 석탄이나 철 등의 광석들을 얻을 수 있죠.
골드는 업그레이드에 소모하며, 채굴력이나 탭 대미지 증가 등이 있고 지정된 층에 도달함에 따라서 새로운 항목들이 등장합니다.

광석은 공장으로 가져가서 가공이 가능하며, 여기서 보유한 광석들을 가공할 수 있죠.
예로 석탄과 구리를 단조하여 구리 광석을 얻을 수 있으며, 이렇게 가공한 광석들로 다른 광석 단조에 사용하거나 골드처럼 업그레이드에 사용할 수 있습니다.
추가로, 각 주괴들을 연관된 단조에 재료로 소모해 업그레이드하여 한 번에 진행할 수 있는 수량과 속도 등을 상승시킬 수 있죠.

또한, 광부들을 활성화하는 대에도 광석들을 사용하고 그들을 업그레이드하는대에도 소모됩니다.
광부들은 제일 처음 친구 외에는 이종족이라거나 샷건...을 쓰는 광부 등 다양한 컨셉을 가지고 있습니다.
그런대 그에 따른 뭔가 패시브라거나 액티브 능력 같은건 없는 듯?
외에도 스킨을 언락해 장착시킬 수도 있으며, 최대 5명까지 팀을 구성하여 채굴 작업을 시킬 수 있습니다.

해당 층의 모든 광석을 제거하면 클리어를 하고 다음 층으로 이동합니다.
5층마다 보스층이 등장하며, 주어지는 모든 땅을 제한 시간 내에 모두 제거하면 다음 층으로 이동할 수 있죠.
당연히 제한 시간을 초과하면 이전 층으로 이동하며 성장하기 전까지는 계속 반복하게 됩니다.

25층에 도달하면 현재 코인/층/골드 업그레이드를 초기화하고 초기층으로 돌아가는 기능이 활성화됩니다.
쉽게 다른 방치형 게임의 환생이며, 이를 통해 광부 영혼을 획득하여 소울 업그레이드를 진행할 수 있죠.
참고로, 환생 후 보스층을 어느정도 빠르게 클리어하면 바로 다음 보스층으로 워프하게 됩니다.

또한, 일정 층에 도달하면 다른 광산들이 언락되어 이동할 수 있습니다.
광산의 종류에 따라서 주요하게 획득하는 광석의 종류가 다르며, 고유한 광산으로 처리됩니다.
그렇기에 광산마다 진행한 층과 골드, 광부 영혼이 구분되어 있죠.
쉽게 A광산의 층과 골드, 광부 영혼은 B광산에 갈때 같이 가지 않고 해당 광산에서 얻은 경우에만 사용 가능합니다.
다행히 광산을 이동해도 이전 광산의 층과 재화들은 그대로 유지되어 있기에 다시 돌아오면 유지되어 있더군요.

외에도 채굴을 진행하는 화면 상단에는 임무가 있으며 임무를 수행하면 보상을 획득합니다.
클릭 하기, 파괴하기, 골드 벌기 등이 반복되며 가끔 새 잡기나 특정 층 클리어 등이 주어지죠.
해당 임무들을 완료하면 보상으로 보석을 얻을 수 있습니다.
또, 가끔 새가 날아오고 새를 잡으면 보상을 얻을 수 있죠.
이건 일일 제한이 있는 듯?

퀘스트나 업적을 수행하여 보상을 받을 수도 있고 통계에서 플레이 이력을 구경할 수도 있습니다.
퀘스트는 매일 새로운 퀘스트가 주어지고 업적은 단계별로 요구 수치가 있고 이를 수행하면 보상이 지급되죠.
통계에서는 플레이 타임과 파괴한 블럭, 획득한 골드 등의 전체적인 플레이 정보를 확인할 수 있습니다.
오프라인 보상도 있어서 일정 시간 뒤 재접속하거나 다른 광산에 오래있다가 복귀하면 오프라인 보상 얻을 수 있죠.

그리고 인앱결제...도 있습니다.
광고 제거도 있는거보면 모바일 게임이었던 듯?
게다가 찾아보니 무료네?
돈주고 산 것에 비해 딱히 별다른 것도 없네?
PC니깐 당연히 안되는 광고 제거 외에는 다 인앱결제해야하네?
뭔 생각인?

아쉬운 점
-차라리 무료로 내놓고 추가 기능들을 결제로 구매하게 해야지 게임을 구매했는대 상품들을 파는 건 뭐냐? 대량이 필요하더라도 보석으로 구매가능하게 만들던가
-구매 다시 비활성화 있으면 좋을 듯. 아니 차라리 빼버려야 할 듯.
-광부 비교 기능 없음
-게임 컨셉과 일부 명칭들이 알맞지 않은 것 같음 (보스층, 패배 등 | 유독 가스가 있는 층이며 다음 층으로 가기위해 길을 막는 광석들을 캐내야한다 등의 컨셉에 맞추는 것이 좋아보임)
-텍스트 크기 조정이 없는건 그러려니하겠는대 너무 작아서 보기 불편함
-상세 정보 안내 없음 (인벤에서는 열리는 상세 팝업들이 다른 화면에서는 열리지 않음. 광부 능력들에 대한 안내 없음.)
-광산 지역이 여러개인건 좋은대, 오프라인 진행이 없으니 프레스티지를 진행하기에 꺼려짐

I want to use my review to address a lot of the complaints in other reviews here.

1. This is free on mobile, how dare you charge money to play it on Steam!
The reason for this is because there are no ads when playing on Steam, so the developer cannot get ad revenue from it. The 5 dollars it costs for the game here is the same price as "Skip All Ads" in the shop, which it also automatically unlocks on mobile if you connect your in-game accounts. Even saw someone complain that there's micro-transactions available, do you expect them to remove their option to profit off of their game so they can get a paycheck and eat dinner? And plenty of people do purchase from the shop, taking it away doesn't make a lick of sense.

2. This is hardly an idle game, you have to babysit it to get anywhere!
I don't see much of a difference between this idle game and other games in the genre. You do a little, purchase upgrades, craft a little, idle. You come back, collect your afk rewards, load up on upgrades so you're stronger than ever, idle. Rinse and repeat. That is the basic equation of idle games.

3. It's boring!
If you're expecting to sit here for hours and be thrilled, this just isn't the genre for that. I do think that other games can have more exciting goals, but as a mining game I think it's exactly what it needs to be. You can mine things, you can have workers mine things for you, you craft ingots and gems, and it scratches the itch for mining in games when you don't have a lot of energy or you just need something to take up a little more space in your brain. As a person with ADHD and being a huge multitasker, I get antsy doing only one thing at a time, so I'll be watching a show or working from home and having little games like this up at the same time. It's nice having something simple to play to help my brain function, and making idle progress in games gives me the happy chemical. That's the point of games like these. If after all that you still don't enjoy it, that's unfortunate to hear. I hope you can find another game that suits you better!

As for my personal review for the game, I think it's decently fun, I enjoy the progression and prestige function. The price makes sense and I've purchased a few other mobile games on Steam for the same amount. I like that I can have cross-progression between my phone and this through Cloud saves, as well as how purchasing it on Steam unlocked Skip Ads on mobile!
The only complaint I have is for the mobile version, where when I'm using my finger to break nodes, it's hard to tell when it breaks and I can move on. It's sort of a non-issue because you can just hold your finger in one spot and it'll break things in a radius around that spot, but it's a little stinky to me nonetheless haha.
Either way, great game! I'm happy to be supporting a passion project made by one person. Keep up the great work!

This is just the game I was looking for! The graphics are good. It is an actual idle game. You don't have to be with it all the time. And in it, there is everything to achieve the different levels. I hope the developer will continue to add more mine shafts. It is a 5 stars in my book.

방치겜을 좋아하는 나로서는 재밌게 플레이함.

다만, 캐릭터 풀강 도전과제는 좀 과도한 노가다이자 방치인듯....
물론 천천히 보석 재련하면서 언젠가 깰거긴 한데, 그 전에 콘텐츠가 좀 추가되면서 난이도도 너프되고 도전과제도 좀 추가될 필요가 있음.

지금 당장은 콘텐츠가 빈약한 느낌이 없지 않아 있음.

Pure Idle
Prestige - Yes and you'll be doing it a lot for four separate caves with their own prestige currency.
Active Play - Click birds for money or special currency.
Visuals - Beyond watching miners mine and walk around, nothing special.
Special Mechanics - Heavily focuses on smelting materials into bars and using that to upgrade the forge or other stuff.
Cash Shop - Amazingly Yes, though the developer has a message saying you totally don't need to pay any money which even so to have a cash shop even after charging people for the game takes some brass forged balls.

No, I don't recommend this. You can play it free on the phone and it's just as boring on there as it is on steam. I think the special currency rolls in a little faster, but big whoop. Prestige feels like it's not special given how often you'll do it and you'll need to do it for four other caverns, the prestige currency gets spent very quickly on a few upgrades and then it's back to doing nothing. A price tag on a pure idle like this WITH the cash shop is just insane to me.

I had and have fun with this title. I have an arm long list of improvement I would like to see, but the current state brings the same level of enjoyment as a lot of very similar the free-to-play titles - but no one want's to reach at my wallet all time.
The pixle graphics are gorgeous, there is a nice variaty in stages (even so they do not change the gameplay-loop), you have a lot of connected mechanics and the whole thing is just 5 Bucks.
I hope the creator is considering to update the title, as there are a lot of rough edges I would like to see ironed out.
The different mines have all their own bonuses for resetting them, which leaves a strange feeling as it's the same crew mining in different mines. I miss features like an auto-refill for the funaces or a simple button to refill all, the characters special abilities (or the level of their impact) is not clear in the purchase-screen which left me with some frustration with sub-par characters I bought, I would like to see some statistics about my characters to evaluate their performance (block damange per stage, broken blocks per stage, amount of unloading-walks, ...), a way to alter the strategy of my minders (not always take the longest line, clostest to your start position), and so on. But even without them - still a nice little game and well worth the invest.

Idle Cave Miner is honestly a great pick if you’re into idle games but want something a little different. The basic idea is simple. You tap to mine gold, diamonds, and other resources, but there’s way more going on than you’d expect. One of the coolest parts is building your mining team. Each miner has their own strengths, so figuring out the best combo to boost efficiency is actually pretty fun. Despite the title it isn't really an idle game. Way too much hand holding and active gameplay is necessary to progress.

On top of that it costs money AND has microtransactions (or rather macrotransactions, as they cost up to 100€/$)

In terms of quality, content and monitization It might work on mobile but on PC it's one of the worse games of its genre.

Try it on mobile to save money, It's the exactly the same experience!

It's decently fun until the final zone which is just terrible and reveals how much of a cash grab it is. The final zone shoots randomly directed orbs which almost always miss and the resources to collect are extremely thinned out. You can see it in the store page video and it's just awful.

The mobile version of this game is free with ads and microtransactions so if the price is keeping you away you can definitely try it there first.

With that said the PC version is the same experience without ads (removing ads in the mobile version costs the same) so, i can recommend this chill game if you're a fan of the genre and want the pro of not having to have the mobile app always open to get the optimal progress (game is actually pretty fair with offline progression as well!)

If you're reading this wondering if the $3-4 purchase is worth it, to compare, a cup of coffee here is $7-8 on average.

I'm a fan of slower paced games, and this game, also has some strategy elements too. I have spent 12 hours, currently, playing the game. It's closer to what I feel around maybe 1 hour of key pressing, while it runs in the background. For someone who does the WFH this type of game is perfect. You buy it, check in every hour or so, and progress is made.

I will likely call this game quits after reaching the 1000+ floor mark, which is who even knows how many days away, but here the thing, I feel like my purchase was worth the price, and it's understandable that it exists, because you can't give players on PC's ads, they will not work properly. So, for half the price of a cup of coffee I would say this game is definitely worth it.

If I can't convince you to try it, then try it on your phone for free. Cheers.

In theorie an okayish game, even without purchasing any microtransactions. However, for an idle game this one needs a lot of babysitting and barely has any offline progress. You can upgrade it but the steps are a joke. You do not upgrade hours, you upgrade minutes, while other idle games usually have hours or days of offline progress available. This might be unlocked later on, but currently its an idle game which needs to be babysittet actively a lot and is simply not that fun.

I played the mobile version of this game on Android and didn't hesitate to buy it from steam once it is released!
Honestly I didn't find this game Pay to Win at all, I get all my gems from tapping birds and doing quests and random bits here and there and now I have unlocked all my miners (Ps. you don't need gems to upgrade them after you unlock them, Nice ^_^)
Regarding people finding the games is free on mobile but paid on Steam is because you get no ads on the steam version and once you sync up your progress from the steam version you don't need to watch ads anymore on mobile as well which I guess is just a small gesture of supporting the dev and hopefully the dev will be motivated more to release more content.
If any of you find yourself need to buy bonus times with gems then probably you are not suited to play idle game the point of idle game is idle and patience.
Overall it's a solid idle game I'd say, not quite like other idle games but I do find it relaxing just to enjoy small progress everyday, eventually when you look back where you started you will realise that you have made a huge progress.

As someone who has played this game on mobile, I can certainly say that this game will be a great addition to your library. The flow is simple and the miners are all pretty unique and fun. There are microtransactions however these are in no way shape or form required to make it to endgame.

编辑一下，这个游戏我这么快给差评的原因是，我一开始玩居然都感受不到什么爽点，也没有那种boost系统一个一个揭露在我眼前让我探索的快乐

所有系统一开始就一览无余（除了宗教），虽然从宝石能看出来有一些进阶，但是基本上就是数值的简单堆叠，也没什么爆炸性的增长......矿工升级给的数据很少，而升级矿工需要在低层农资源。

而且内购是不是有点太多了，中文版的不显示价格的，误点进去发现是真的贵.......熔炼加产量居然要付费货币，6个金色矿工居然都是要求付费货币解锁......

更新：我看了英文的好评，好多都在说离线收益很好，确实每个区域都有挺好的。但是初始没几个小时（点了一些下来差不多4.5小时每个区域），升级只多6分钟，升几次就贵的要死，实在是有点抠了.........而且没有自动熔炼啊

Very fun and exciting game, the game has a lot of depth in terms of different upgrades to grind, the miner's designs are creative and very well done!
The types of mines allow the player to more easily grind for upgrades which I very much appreciate :)
The new update brings a couple new aspects that have kept me hooked on it, I will keep playing this new update and try to explore all the new features.

I've been playing this since the beginning of August on Android, and with that said, I had zero issue with shelling out another $5 for this game on Steam. It's a great idle game, with just enough of an incremental aspect to keep things interesting for the long term. Plenty of cool items to craft, lots of Miners with different skills attributed to different mines, pretty good offline gains. Can easily gain premium currency through daily/weekly quests and a random on-screen interactive element.

Typical MTX for this type of game with sensible pricing, which is nice to see in a world where auto-click or ad-free options are creeping up to $16 USD each - or more - in other games. Also available with manual cross-platform saves so you can take this on the go with you!

The only idle game that respects your time

I've been playing the mobile version for several months now, barely halfway through, and yet I find that spending a few days
not checking it doesn't make me feel like I've 'lost time' towards a finish line that was always moving. Idle Cave Miner is
an adorable idle game with many characters to unlock, and many caves to mine in!
