This game was almost really good. I want to give this a good rating, it's a cool idea and it's a lot of fun.
It also hard-locks after every few runs. Won't respond to alt-f4, I have to CAD out of the game.
Hyperun is marketed as a racing game, but it's more closely related to 3d mobile endless runners like temple run.
You speed down a randomly generated linear path using A and D to avoid obstacles, and the left or right arrow to turn at the 90 degree corners. The longer you race the faster you go and the harder it is to avoid obstacles. Eventually you mess up too many times in a row and you crash and get a high score.
The game is differentiated from the mobile endless runners in a few ways.
Presentation is very good - the sense of speed is fantastic, the sound effects are all punchy, and overall experience is satisfying. Easy to get into races, minimal loading etc.
You are not exactly tied to the track. You can take short cuts over gaps, and if you wanted to you could do a U turn, although you would immediately crash as the track disappears behind you.
There is a pretty satisfying trick system that gives some personal expression and ties into the scoring.
Turning the corners happens when you release the arrow key, which feels a bit weird and was the cause of most of my deaths. While you hold the arrow key you grind which also gives some personal expression and it really adds to the vibe that it's not exactly an endless runner.
Watching the high score runs is really incredible. It gets blisteringly fast.
It is satisfying to see yourself improve.
Get it if you like high speed reflex games, competing in high scores and games that 'feel' badass.
Don't get it if you're searching for a game in which to master a deep and complex movement system, or master more than a simple trick system, or race against AI bots.
HEPER FUN (ET NON RUN)
Its simple, fun, and hard to put down. Its also only 6 bucks.

really solid mechanics and pleasing visuals, would be a fun little timewaster if it weren't for the random crashes, really detracts from the experience
I'm a simple man, i like speed and futuristic tron looking bikes, so i like Hyperun.
Thrust me this game is fast, probably one of the fastest games i ever played.
Things gets pretty insane at 400 km/h, not even talking what it's like above 500 and more...
That said you will need inhuman reflexes to reach 600/700+ km/h.
Hyperun is a good indie game, fast, easy to pick up and play but hard to master.
Really addicting and fun if you're the kind of person who like to keep improving your scores.
The only downside is that the game is capped at 120fps maximum and maybe lack a bit more variety, a workshop with custom tracks would have been dope tbh...

Hyperun is an infinite runner where youre a motorcycle jumping around and doing tricks on an antigravity track in the middle of the desert. Ive been a sucker for infinite runners ever since Temple Run, and I swear this game is infused with cocaine.
[h1] LEADERBOARDS [/h1]
There are two online leaderboards to go for. Top speed reached, and skill score. Going for top speed means you'll be playing a lot more carefully, especially as the game gets incredibly fast. The store page isn't lying when it says Hyperun is "the fastest game ever". To get anywhere on the top speed board, you're going to need some inhuman reflexes. Skill score is what I prefer to go for, and really where the meat of the game is. You have to perform tricks and keep a combo, while simultaneously your speed is going higher and higher.
[h1] TRICKS [/h1]
To perform tricks, you have to mash left and right keys in specific ways. A 720 is pressing left, right, left, right. A heelflip is pressing left twice, and so on. The issue is that you have to press these buttons while also going 400 mph on a pretty skinny procedurally generated track. You have to find when it is safe to pull off your triple kickflip, or else youre going to crash and lose your combo.
[h1] PROC GEN [/h1]
The procedural generation is pretty lack luster. Youre going to see all the parts of the track generation pretty quickly. My biggest issue with the game is that there just simply isn't enough variety in track generation. Tracks never feel unfair though.
[h1] MISCELLANEOUS [/h1]
Bugs are minimal. Every once in a while the track generation will put two roads on top of each other or mess up a texture, but it doesn't happen often enough to matter too much.
The controls are a little bit complex, as you have buttons for turning 90 degrees left and right, a button to jump, etc. Once you learn them it becomes muscle memory, and the gamefeel is very arcadey.
[h1] CONCLUSION [/h1]
Hyperun is intense, fast, and as addicting as it gets. 6 USD is totally reasonable for what you get, and I can see myself sinking a good chunk of time in it.

Extremely entertaining obstacle-avoiding game with a great "just one more try" feeling.
Mechanics are really simple to understand: the bike move on its own and you can either dodge left/right or drift left/right in order to change directions. You can also jump in order to make stunts through direction inputs.
You start at a speed of 100km/h and it slowly increases. Using stunts, drifting and using speedboosts on the road can increase the speed even faster. After every 100km/h cap (i.e. 200, 300, 400...) the game saves your progress and once you die you can start at the last goal achieved. This is applied up to 700km/h.
You have 3HP and after getting hit you can "recover" that hitpoint if you don't get hit again after few seconds. Running off the road instagibs you though, so be careful!
The game can be played with two different playstyles in mind: reaching the highest speed possible or getting the highest score. Both playstyles feel really different so the replay value is big enough.
The game has unlockables to modify your bike, although they really are something you won't be paying much attention to.
PROS AND CONS:
+ Extremely addicting
+ The feeling of speed is just amazing
+ Controls are very tight, which is one of the most important things in these type of games
- Sometimes the game bugs and puts random invisible walls, or textures that "shouldn't be there". It doesn't happen often enough to thumb down the game but it clearly needs some fixes
- The game processes hits VERY bad. After you get hit, the bike stops, shakes a bit and then starts moving again at the very same speed you were. For lower speeds this is not an inconvinient but up to 700km/h it makes it extremely hard to recover. Most of the times you will probably get hit a second time just because of that.
Overall I'm having a great time playing this game and if you are into obs-av games I strongly recommend to give it a try. Ignore those minor issues and you'll enjoy it a lot

ハイスピードレーシングゲーム。といってもレーシング要素は薄く、反射神経でカーブを切ったり移動したりするのがメイン。ソニックのワンシーンを思い浮かべてくれるとわかりやすいのではないだろうか。
このゲームのいい所は、なんといってもその爽快感だ。400km/hを超えるという頭おかしいんじゃないかという速度での運転は、操作が遅れるほど高速で気分爽快だ。ハイスピードになればなるほど反射神経が重要視されるため、勢いが出れば出るほど楽しくなってくる。
更に、このゲームは移動中にトリックを繰り出せる。華麗なジャンプ技でポイントを一気に集めてハイスコアを目指そう！トリックはカーブ中にも出せるため、いつでもチャンスが存在する。400km/hの状態でトリックを決めるのは至難の業だが、是非ともチャレンジしていただきたい。
シンプルならではの面白さなのでおすすめだ。
Jeu très addictif qui mérite un meilleur succès, les parties sont rapides et s'enchainent (on ne veux plus arrêter !), on peux jouer pour battre son record de vitesse ou bien battre son score en enchainant des figures, ce qui augmente la durée de vie du jeu ! N'hesitez pas !
Uau, várias vezes uau, eu realmente não esperava muito desse jogo, mas ele é muito divertido e viciante, mesmo não estando totalmente finalizado é muito bom e ainda por cima, totalmente em ptbr tanto menus como dublagem, recomendo para quem quer um jogo divertido e sem compromisso, basta correr e tentar quebrar seus records ou até mesmo dos teus amigos.
Amazing feeling of speed and confusion! Reaching 500 km/h feels about equivalent to beating the last level in Super Hexagon.
Some simple suggestions for the developer to make the game even better:
1) Change the bike's actual direction of movement at the exact moment of key release, even if it's in the middle of the jump animation. (Keep playing the jump animation though.)
2) Get rid of instadeaths, use the 3 HP system always.
3) There's one rare case where the player depends on pure luck - when a hill is immediately followed by a turn. Might be worth getting rid of it.

Nice arcade rythm concept with cool aesthetic... However really lack content for the prize. I was hopping for patches with free new stuff but it turns out there are paying DLC for a one mode / one map game now.... not cool

Quelle ne fût pas ma surprise quand j'ai vu la première fois la page du jeu sur Steam ! En effet les visuels titillaient ma fibre nostalgique tant ils ressemblaient à un jeu de Nintendo 64 que j'avais adoré étant gamin : EXTREM G ! Une sorte de Wipeout avant l'heure avec des motos futuristes bardées de roquettes at autres joyeusetés.
Ici, les "motos" longilignes au look futuristes et aggressifs étaient presque les mêmes et certes, le jeu adoptait un style cell-shading par rapport à la vieille 3D baveuse de cette bonne vieille console mais je m' y retrouvait vraiment !
Là ou mon coeur a totalement vascillé c'est quand j'ai vu toutes ces belles images s'animer. Whoaaah !! Hyperun va vite. Très vite. Trèèèèèèèès très vite. Extrééééééémement vite.
Hyperrun va si vite qu'il ne s'emcombre même pas de contrôles communs aux autres jeux du type!
Dans Hyperun (et non Hyper run ^^) effectivement, pas de direction à donner avec le joystick de sa manette pour faire tourner son véhicule, juste des réflexes de ninja en pressant les gachette arrières gauche ou droite, seule touches faisant "tourner" la moto. Et quand je dis tourner c'est un doux euphémisme. Si vous avez regardé le trailer vous aurez vite compris que tout est extreme dans Hyperun à commencer par ses virages qui sont TOUS à angle droit. Votre moto va donc pivoter extrémement rapidement à 90° quand vous presserez votre gachette. C'est extrémement déstabilisant au début, il faut un certain temps d'adaptation. Autre particularité, le jeu dispose d'un solide système de scoring qui s'appuie sur des figures de type "skate" (360, double flip etc...) mais à réaliser à 300 km/h en prenant un virage à angle droit ça se complique tout de suite !
Je l'aime bien Hyperun, le principe est simple et addictif, le jeu n'a pas véritablement de fin et vous devrez survivre le plus longtemps possible sur la piste avant de vous bouffer dans la gueule un des nombreux obstacles qui vous barreront la route ou plus communément (90% du temps) un virage mal négocié.
Ok le jeu est épuré, certains diront ostère , tant au niveau graphique qu'au niveau du contenu: en effet vous ne verrez qu'une seule et meme piste tout au long de du jeu. Mais ça ne lasse absolument pas! Car le circuit est en realite un assemblement aléatoire de tronçons pré calculés. Vous reverrez donc des sections connues et un apprentissage dans le sang et les larmes des differents tronçons sera requis si vous souhaitez performer dans le leaderboard ou atteindre le sacro-saint 100%.
Ajoutez un système de personalisation de votre deux roues et vous obtenez ma foi un petit jeu fort sympathique.
Les sensations sont grisantes et si vous cherchez du challenge vous êtes à la bonne porte !

Unbelievably good game. This is a wonder hidden gem that I hope more people find. It has a fantastic sense of speed that isn't matched in any games I've played recently. It's paired with an incredibly simple control scheme that makes you feel like a god for being able to make it. With two different modes, one for speed freaks and the other for doing tricks once you get tired of trying to get on the leaderboards for one you can switch to the other. It is missing a daily run feature.

Jeu injouable après 700km/h, à cause d'un changement de couleur très moche qui supprime tout les répères visuels que l'on peut acquérir, et mauvais support de la VR, ou la vue se colle à travers le sol. Quelle déception...
Un jeu "sympatique", découvert par hasard.
Un clipping parfois très handicappant, surtout quand c'est la route qui n'apparait pas...

The fastest game on earth !!!! Amazing speed feeling, you get instantly addicted, nervous, with a fat vein growing on the side of your face, maximal blood pressure, ultra high speed heart beats, freaking shaking hands.
Please do not play this game if you are an insomniac, you will dream about it, images and motion with stay in your brain no matter what you do.

Great game that reminded me of the likes of F-Zero or Wipeout when you start playing holding your breath to avoid making mistakes. There are already plenty of updates by the developper and the game keeps getting better. The gameplay is fairly simple, you turn corners at very high speed but as the speed keeps increasing, it gets very challenging and fun to play. Overall a great gem !
Un bon jeu de scoring super technique tout en étant très simple à prendre en main. Les commandes sont basiques mais le système de tricks vient apporter une profondeur au gamelay. J'apprécie particulièrement leur facilité d'exécution, la difficulté étant de les placer au bon moment, ce qui est loin d'être facile quand on est à plus de 300km/h. :D
Bref, un bon jeu que je consomme à petites doses (ça va très, très vite) en ayant à chaque fois pour objectif d'améliorer mes perfs.
Ca commence normalement et la vitesse augmente ensuite ... et la ça devient vite grisant!
Le principe des derapages est super cool.
J'ai pas encore trop essayer de faire des figures, je vais d'abord parfaire ma conduite ;)
C'est vite prenant.

I loved the feeling of speed it gives you. But I would like more game modes maybe.
I never saw a game fast like this one ! I always want to go back to improve my speed record. I highly recommend this game.
I am not a player for this kind of games usually and the videos are quite impressive, you feel like you won't handle the bike going so fast.
But you actually start quite slow, and mastering the moves comes in quite quickly. After a few runs you're already feeling the power of the engine, then you actually thrill from the speed. It feels like you're driving too fast on the motorway, I personnaly felt like an outlaw while playing the game.
The music is really badass and I like to play a different track (music and road) everytime. This game makes you obsessed by it, also it's hard to play a very long time (2h+) because it's so intensive. Very nice for short gaming sessions with nothing at stake and an instant huge bump of adrenaline, I love this game !
Mastering the turns brings you easily to the 300-400 km/h but then it becomes much harder, thankfully the game was beautifully designed to help you focus as you increase speed. I didn't manage to make any tricks like 360 over 200km/h though, and I've seen players doing it at 500+. That is a very interesting learning curve : easy to play, hard to master.
I feel this game will become a reference for its category.
Very cool game, quick to understand and very exciting to play. Cars are fun, music's fun, gameplay smooth (you need a good computer though...), roads are different each time and you can go far in the speed wich is quite addictive !
