Would not play again. It only escapes being lower, because you can get it for just over one dollar if you time it right, and because it can be mildly satisfying if you play well enough.
The game recommends a controller, but none of mine had any of those Xbox buttons that the game asked for, so I just used a keyboard. I do like the core concept of typing to fight hordes, because there aren't many games like that. My main problem is that the game doesn't seem to do much unique with it, even in New Game Plus. There are only two songs and a few basic maps in the whole game.
The early-game was straightforward enough, but the mid- and late-game had way too many enemies. Imagine how exhausted I felt after fighting a huge wave of 200+ enemies, only to meet another equally massive horde just seconds later. I never thought about how hard my keyboard is until I had to give up playing normally and just mash the same three keys every few seconds, because the enemies bred like rats. The one bright side to having that many enemies is that it's easy to max out your abilities and hire all the knight allies that you can find, so the grind doesn’t just last forever.
The game has too many bugs to list. It's not constant, mind you, but two of my most noteworthy problems came during the Second Chance sequence and from an abrupt "Steam failed to initialize" error. First, when I lose all my health, and I have to do this weird rhythm game to win Second Chance and get half of it back, sometimes the camera wouldn't even let me see the button prompt, so I had to mash for that, too. Second, there were times when I waded through countless hundreds of enemies and 4 knights at once, and the game just said "Steam failed to initialize" and made me close without saving, like it's one of those Live Service deals. I think I lost count after the third time that happened, because it burned me up so much.
To end this rant on a positive note, I will admit that I probably didn't play the game as well as I could have, and the game still managed to get 88% positive reviews as of this writing, so maybe you won't have all of these problems that I did. I just could not help but document everything I found, so that Code Monkey's new games don't have as many issues in the future.

Hyper Knights is basically a very simple 2D Mount & Blade.
It's addictively fun to play as it's easy to learn and simple to finish.
The gameplay overall is smooth, although it starts to lag in the end of big battles, it's the only negative aspect I noticed.
This line is for the achievement hunters. It's easy but it requires just a little bit of grinding to 100% Steam achievements.

非常爽的一款攻城略地游戏，如果你对占领地盘,无双类和电子斗蛐蛐感兴趣，那你可以无脑入这款游戏，但是个人觉得这游戏玩爽过了之后就不会再想打开了，游戏内容确实不是特别丰富，但也确实值回票价了。
还可以，就是最后一个岛推的时候卡爆了

Bare bones strategy and semi-auto battler the best winning strategy is an abundance of patience.
in bigger battles, some of the scaling gets worse and worse, and too little time between attacks.

I might have not reached to the point of how it scales yet as there was not a deep tutorial, and its the most game like games from this developer but similar flaws like his other titles can have. with a more messy version of the bannerlord game mechanics around realtime and world map movement.
- can get too grindy
- enemies spawn too fast and so much can start to happen at once, and enemies can send 2x endless hordes if you pick the wrong fight, easier to just loose the battle?
- lack of more tactical options than to just outnumber the enemy.
- various stuff can be lacking for the player be it UI + gameplay handling, and other stuff.
- horde of enemies can stack on you, and the game is mostly 1vs1 unit fighting unless you use abilities, so can get ability heavy and crashing some of the flow.
the other DLC might work for some players and their style of playing.

After players have fully understood the ungainly controls, all that is left to challenge them is defending and attacking dozens of times, with no variation whatsoever, until they have entirely conquered the island. With the extent of this product's game progression being razor-thin and mind-numbing, there is no difference between a hamster in a running wheel and someone playing this video game for hours.
Amazing game, the only minus is that it becomes repetetive after while.

This game is the best, it is mount and blade, but you are an overpowered steroid abusing knight. I wish it had more unit types like Cavalry/Cavalry archers. I love the fact that you get to disperse your minions to take villages and its even better when you have a knight by your side it's just dopamine heaven.

Базовый геймплей в норме. И драться и захватывать карту интересно. Все ачивки выбил за 1 прохождение.
Но уже на половине прохождения я прокачал всё и успел устать от однообразных боёв. Вторая половина из наигранных мной 11 часов была пустой тратой времени ни на что. Там не было ни нового контента, ни новых игровых ситуаций. Спасался тем, что в игре звук не играет никакой роли, включил аудиокнигу и долбишь по геймпаду.
Удовольствие я получил, но рекомендовать игру всем я не могу.

Перед нами QTE-слэшер/стратегия. Мы играем за бывшего правителя государства, в боях постепенно повышающего свой уровень и открывающего новые комбо атаки и поддержки вместе с прокачкой навыков и прочих радостей жизни, постепенно оттесняя врагов и застраивая регионы всякими требушетами и шахтами, прокачивая завоёванные деревни и замки, нанимая армии и рыцарей-полководцев, без которых ваша затея обречена на провал. Один тут в поле не воин.
Тем не менее, в какой-то момент игра может начать казаться слишком лёгкой: бабло капает, рыцари мотаются туда-сюда и потихоньку захватывают регионы, а вы повышаете свой уровень в боях. И в итоге в одиночку минуете все кордоны со своей армией и начинаете грабить караваны, пока внезапно не видите ужасную картину: враг наступает буквально со всех сторон, как и вы миновав все кордоны, и атакует ваш беззащитный тыл. Именно в этот момент начинается настоящая игра, когда строительство начинает иметь смысл, а бездельники-рыцари направляются вами туда, где окажутся наиболее полезны. Тогда начинается позиционная война, и уже вам придётся грамотно распределять рыцарей на защиту и атаку.
В бою не выйдет полагаться только на скорость нажатия клавиш. Каждый враг бьётся разными комбинациями, в пылу боя можно выстукивать одну комбинацию, а бить ваш герой будет по другому врагу, и в окружении останется надеяться лишь на комбо, если, конечно, на поле боя остался хотя бы один ваш подчинённый. В ином случае - поражение. К счастью, каждый бой учитывает происходящее на глобальной карте, и расположенные поблизости войска могут подойти на выручку, то же касается и вражьих сил, потому бой на последних этапах игры может стать воистину легендарным.

В итоге, игра оказывается достаточно залипательной, чтобы провести в ней больше пары часов, нужных для её полного прохождения. Несколько коротких сессий, и впечатления будут максимально приятными, но всё подряд сделать лучше не пытаться. Заскучаете.

игра просто шик, можно кайфануть на день или на два + все достижения и идеальная игра в копилку.
игра супер, но есть не большие минусы:
-Прокачка заканчивается после 10 сек игры. Можно добавить еще прокачки или снизить получаемый опыт
-Всего 15 дружественных рыцарей + они занимаются всякой фигнёй
-Игру забросили
Но эти минусы незначительны. Поиграйте. рекомендую
Simple and enjoyable. Start off slow, gain gold and some troops, take over some settlements, continuously, build momentum, take over the continent. The graphics are simple, but the gameplay still shows the vision the developer had.
At times quite hard or tedious, when you are fighting more than 4 enemy knights at the same time, but that mostly only happens towards the mid-late game.
Would love to have some more probing AI tactics, where they do not only attack your front line.
There are events where there are random enemy spawns behind your front lines, but i found those more annoying that interesting.
Once you beat the game, you get a NewGame+ experience with all abilities unlocked, so you really can goof around and test all the game has to offer. It offers some limited replayability, but it is still the same map, so I doubt it will hold my interest for long.
All in all, I'd buy this again if I hadn't played it yet.
Reminds me of a very very very cheap version of Mound and blade.
Gameplay is mostly bashing buttons to protect your troops. Gamepad recommended, but i played mostly on the keyboard at the begining, and it works fine too.
You spend lots of time on the map sending your knights to fight left and right, and they get you some new land (or lose some).
For the endgame, expect a bit of lag as battles grow from 20-40 units at the start to 200-1k units in the end.
Quite fun, did 100% achievements in under 7hours and a half.

I don’t know where I purchased this game, it was probably in some bundle. I installed it out of guilt just because I couldn’t bear to see another game in the steam backlog where I never even installed or gave the game a chance. I was surprised to find this game really got his hooks into me as one of those games with “just one more level”. I ended up leveling all of the abilities to their max level and nearly getting 100% on the game.

Very fun, for a very short while. Taking the first territory and recruiting your first knight are the only exciting moments in this game. After that it turns into repetitive hell. "Super Self" is the only combo that matters, which is actually just mindless button mashing. You could beat the game just by dispatching your knights to defend your lands - they are going to raid the neighbouring lands anyway and eventually conquer them; all the manual work you need to do is upgrading villages/castles and building trebuchets wherever you can. Hold F so everything is moving faster. The battles are boring and annoying, especially when capturing villages - even though you can steamroll the enemy, destroying the towers, gates and tents takes awfully long.
The game is also bugged - I wanted to get all the achievements just for the sake of it, but:
1) no matter which combo I tried, I could never get the 15 kills with one combo;
2) raided more than 10 convoys, but the game didn't register that...
3) it was already too late in game when I noticed the "defend the convoy" one... The enemy actually never even got the chance to attack any. When reduced to a single territory, the enemy just stands there and does nothing.
Hyper Knights is an absolute delight that feels like a one man army simulator! From the stunning, but basic, visuals to the engaging gameplay, this game has it all. The combat is fast-paced and satisfying, with a variety of unique abilities that keep battles exciting. I love how every knight has their own backstory, adding depth to the experience and making you really invested in the journey.
The quests are well-crafted and often come with unexpected twists that keep you on your toes. Plus, the multiplayer mode is a blast! Teaming up with friends for epic battles makes it even more enjoyable.
Overall, Hyper Knights offers a perfect blend of action, strategy, and storytelling. If you’re a fan of RPGs, you absolutely need to check this out! Highly recommended!

Прекрасный теплый летний день. Солнышко светит, птички поют. Ты весело бежишь по травке в своих новых кольчужными носочках с мечом за спиной. А потом врываешься в толпу врагов на гиперскорости как Саурон, рубя всех в кровавые ошметки.
Никогда бы не подумал, что Mount&Blade можно удачно превратить в кнопочный слешер. Возглавляем войско, нанимаем лордов-рыцарей, грабим караваны и деревни, берем замки, нанимаем войска и так по кругу, пока не отвоюем все королевство. Сражения ощущаются действительно как сражения. Можно собрать 200 человек под своим командованием и устроить бойню свыше 500 человек с подкреплениями. Есть даже подобие приказов. Рядовых солдат рубим на автомате, над боссами-рыцарями немного трудимся. Есть веселые, кровавые комбо и гипер-рывки. Все просто и со вкусом, и за 100 рублей.
Желателен геймпад. Музыка могла быть разнообразней, единственная мелодия в множестве битв приедается.

Um jogo com uma ideia muito boa mas muito mal executado.
Gosto muito desse estilo que é ao mesmo tempo tático e de combate descerebrado, o famoso MUSOU. Sinto em Hyper Knights uma certa inspiração em clássicos do estilo, como Dynasty Warriors, é claro que nas devidas proporções porque aqui temos um produto com orçamento infinitamente menor.
Mas o problema não é esse. O problema é que, tendo a ideia genial de fazer um musou 2D, mesmo que simples, faltou refinar um pouco mais a jogabilidade para que não ficasse extremamente limitada e repetitiva. Alguém poderia dizer que o próprio gênero musou tem esses defeitos e eu concordaria, mas nos jogos AAA do tipo dá pra focar em outros elementos que carregam o jogo, por exemplo uma história legal, procurar itens poderosos ou evoluir uma base até ela ficar do jeito que a gente quer. E aí as batalhas repetitivas não chegam a incomodar, vira aquele tipo de jogo em que você desliga o cérebro, fica ouvindo uma música e só volta a focar nas partes importantes.
Em Hyper Knights, até pelas limitações de orçamento, não há nada disso. Aí faltou um pouco de criatividade pra deixar o jogo mais atrativo e rejogável. Talvez mais personagens, ou fases variadas, ou um pouco mais de controle tático sobre o que acontece na batalha ou até mesmo no mapa.
Enfim, uma oportunidade desperdiçada. O lado bom é que em promoção ela fica bem baratinho, pra quem quiser experimentar.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

不適合一直玩 間隔著玩 可以玩較久.
極度好評 應該主要是來自於性價比. 喜歡亂無雙的人 和簡化操作的人 這一款花小錢就能快樂.
優化方面需要加強 不知道是吃PCU 還是顯卡 這畫面和內容複雜度沒道理卡頓.

It's a fun little game. I definitely got my money's worth.
You are the leader of a kingdom. You control your knight and the troops that you pick up. Battles occur on a map and your leader can do special moves and buffs, direct the army to points on the map. The battling is interesting in that there are X/Y buttons over the enemies. To quickly kill, tap in the order of the buttons. Missing a button doesn't reset the combo, it just doesn't remove the next button.
After taking over a region, you can purchase another knight from that castle. The knight then acts autonomously. They can be given orders to attack or defend regions that you select. They will automatically recruit soldiers and even join in your battles if you are engaged and they are near.
On the overview there are regions to take over, and the player can build mines, trebuchets, and hide outs. Castles and outposts can be upgraded.
When the leader is fully upgraded, the game tends to snowball. In that way I think it could use a little more balance, but this game appears to have been feature complete for quite a while.

玩的非常爽，为小时候补票了。给要玩这游戏的人说一下给这个游戏你把友军骑士最大上限点满了之后刚好可以把地图上所有骑士给招募了，不用选择，技能点爆发就可以很轻松杀敌方骑士了，清小兵点超级杀戮，打建筑用闪电，把我说的技能点了之后你就可以爽了
WOW... This is by far one of the best games I'v played. I was about to sleep, saw this was thinking ill give it a shot.. hour later well there goes my rest time for day o.o.. Not a over statement this game is quite amazing. Think if total war actually listen to player feedback. And if paradox made a third person game where you can actually fight along with people like crusader kings 3 but you control your unit supported by your armys. With a makeshift sandbox same as total war series and stellaris ect this game has outdone my expectations in every way. Played for such a short while and already I wish they had expansion dlcs, but none sadly. Though the aspect where you get into battle and global map keeps progressing slowly and you can request reinforcements to you is amazing. What every total war should add into their games its in constant movement in this game. I rushed a castle because I had a good 120 units on me and the castle had like 10 units, I break halfway through while I knew I had 50 more of my troops comming to me already there so im 170 troops and bam their reinforcements arrive and im fighting 240, oh thats just the first wave of their back up and my castle rush has failed. Quite a amazing game love it!!!

조금 진행하면 스킬 (콤보) 쓰는 재미가
막판에는 땅따먹기 하는 재미가 있슴
물론 이런 게임은 반복 플레이를 피할 수 없고, 마지막에 적장이 모이면 짜증이 나지만
간단한 룰에 생각보다 몰입해서 즐겼슴
Little known but great.
Combat is simple, but very enjoyable (you have to click the appropriate keys shown above the enemy). After defeating an enemy, it flies away satisfactorily, sometimes for quite long distances. An arcade-type game, although we have areas to occupy and buildings to complete. You can download additional/alternate skins for weapons and characters from the workshop.
this game is very simple and very addicting, and yet the gameplay gets stale really fast.

虽然我打的很过瘾，但是我还是给了差评，我他吗打的爽爽的 突然中间给我出现一群莫名其妙敌人 全都是100+，我也纳闷你们从哪来的？直到我看到了几个兵跨海........ 爽是爽，但是你不让我爽到底啊关键是！！！那些武将AI虽然是很猛，但是敌人的兵几乎是无限的，自己武将的兵他喵打完一次就得退很久，敌人直接冲锋了，城倒了！打完一边另一边倒，我TM？
很上头的游戏，但是有几个问题，一个是认不到我的手柄，一个是在据点地图会卡（野战不会），就是那种已经死了重生了还会在那虚空挥剑，一个单机游戏会什么会卡？？
升级很快，所以后期略无聊，基本就是闪电拆塔、撼地击晕敌方骑士后狂殴，对面只有兵的话干脆开大

Fun and simple. Plays like any arcade adventure game you would find on Armor Games.
For base price the content is fairly ok, you start from 0 and work your way through enemy territory, capturing outposts to consolidate control of provinces, villages to make money and Cities to create units and to spread militias around the region. The enemy is capable of this too so it takes a little bit of learning until you're able to overcome the enemy and it's most of the fun of the game since you can be in stalemates in some regions because of how they're oriented or because the enemy has leveled up their buildings in a region and deployed multiple knights.
This by itself would be somewhat boring as it would be a very long and boring war of attrition so that's where you as the player come in with your skills and buildings. Your skills are split between upgrading your stats, units ,combos and overworld perks. The abilities are somewhat imbalanced as you really only need 3 of them and it does sort of cheapen the gameplay as the power of your abilities grow but your normal attacks stay about the same.
That's where overworld buildings come into play. If you're just sick of raiding a village for the 30th time you can simply build trebuchets to increase the enemy's attrition by bombaring their heroes, units and buildings. Mines to feed the local City with Gold or the Barracks (can't recall the exact name since it functions basically like mines) which feed your cities with fresh meat. So if the tactical combat gets boring, you can switch to playing the game as a strategy game, snowballing gold, increasing your manpower and attritioning the enemy without going into battle once (until the very last region where you have to manually siege all the buildings).
Overall i'd give it a 8/10, there's some content that keeps it interesting for a couple hours and you can switch it up and play strategicaly for another couple hours. 4-7 hours for a 5€ i'd normally cringe at as a discount rat but this one's fine by me.
