The game's age is obvious, but it still has its moments. The atmosphere is well crafted and keeps you engaged. Some aspects haven’t aged well, but it is exactly what it tries to be—nothing more, nothing less. It can feel a bit repetitive at times, and the variety of enemies and tactics is quite limited. It takes about 10 hours to complete.

Awesome game, ran great but needed the FOV fix available on PCGAMINGWIKI. They don't make games like this anymore and they should. Simple mechanics, maybe a little repetitive but not game breaking. If you want a fun hack and slash you can't go wrong with this game. I like the art style and character design. I definitely would give this another play through in COOP

Not bad so far. I got this cuz it was under $2 and for nostalga. Me and Dad played this many years ago and I was shocked to see it on the steam store. So it does feel generic but I remember when this came out, it was mind blowing to a kid like me. So far the 2 player part is just light fire here. I hope it expands the having a 2nd player comes into play.

Игра очень однообразная ,скучная , сюжет очень обычный ,как будто я его видел в каком то фильме или другой игре, ты уже знаешь где будут враги потому что всегда выход на арену.Просто 5/10 она не ужасна ,но и не реиграбельна. После прохождения игры узнал что есть 3 концовки, естественно перепроходить ради ролика я не стал, просто глянул на ютубе . Оказывается если не пить СЛЕГ то концовка будет хорошая, но если ты хоть раз пил то все,и вот об этом даже не говорится что если ты выпьешь то зависимым станешь. Вообщем самая средняя игра, но все таки палец вниз из-за скукоты.

I paid full price for this when it released and damn this game wasn't worth it but now it's fairly priced. Kinda clunky and jank so be ready for that. If you wanna play online you need to patch it for open spy these days. This game is pretty ancient now.

I've beaten this game previously, and found this to be a very fun and just challenging enough hack-n-slash game for couples. It is a very fun date night event for gritty adventure loving gamers..... I just really wish the online play still worked. Being FORCED into only LAN play is really really annoying.
The mechanics are fun, the fights are fun. Just the right amount of frustrating, and I love that there are multiple endings. The banter between Caddoc and Alara is very funny. My biggest gripe besides forced LAN co-op is that the women are overly hypersexualized to the point that I'm pretty sure the design team was just a room full of inc3ls or teenage boys. Either way, even as a gay lady myself It is kind of immersion breaking and really takes away from the weight and grit of the story. They are just so *br3asting b00bily* like a bad fanfic. If you ignore that part, it's very fun.

Das Spiel ist leider zur Hälfte nicht mehr Spielbar da Gamespy nicht mehr gibt und für alle online Funktionen ein Konto da gebraucht wird. Sprich Coop und kartenerstellung geht nicht mehr.
Aber der Singelplayer Modus macht dennoch recht lauen. Auch wen Mann sich über sein Partner öfters ärgert da er ein gerne sterben lässt. Da hilft auch kein anschreien.
Zur Story man ist ein Hunter und geht zu zweit auf der Suche nach der Tochter der Bürgermeisters.
Die Dialoge sind zwar ab und an witzig gehen ein aber manchmal auf die Nerven da sich diese wiederholen tuen.
Sein Charakter kann man nur an bestimmte Punkte verbessern dann auch nur Waffe oder Zaubermagie alles andere kann man nur Verbessern in den man Aufgaben erledigt.
An bestimmten Punkte kann man auch zwischen Elf und Mensch wechseln.
Es gibt bei den Spiel 2 Enden.
Speichern kann man leider nicht nur Autosave gibt es aber es wird oft gespeichert.
Mein Fazit. Wen man ein Spiel sucht was etwas von unreal hat und gerne Monster mit Bogen oder Schwert killen will und das ganze hier unter 2 Euro gibt kauft es ruhig.

Enjoyed this game in the 360 days and enjoyed it here on steam. That being said, it is a clunky and fairly short game so definitely wait till it goes on sale.
I can't stand the dialogue. Hollywood Whedon-speak autopilot.
Gameplay's just a typical cover-based shooter, with occasional melee segments. The melee combat is completely half-hearted. Nobody involved in this game's creation has a soul.

Characters are fun an the best part of the game.
I haven't finished it yet, but I'm really enjoying this game. Aside from some side quests and little secrets, the game is linear (as many games were of that era), but despite its simplicity, it's an enjoyable game.
The characters are likeable, they're different but also similar in ways. The game is made for normal audiences, not heavily influenced by ridiculous publisher's requests to appease fake fans, who'd only look at the game to cry about the female character design. The combat is simple, yet has its challenges and is enjoyable enough for its time. I do wish they added more active skill moves and more ways to customise the heroes.
The story seems simple yet effective. It reminds me of Jericho, which I also really enjoyed. The game is also quite violent, and doesn't hold your hand too much. If there's an NPC about to get killed, if you don't act fast, they just die.
I mainly play as E'lara, and find Caddoc very irritating, as he often body blocks you A LOT if you change your direction of travel.
The graphics are quite sharp, so I guess they improved them somewhat.
I wish they would make a second one, but with the same style as this one, otherwise it would be pointless.
Also runs like a dream on Steam Deck at max settings.

I wouldn't go as far as to call this game a hidden gem but if you're from the X-Bone/360 era of brown/gray color scheme splashed all over the place, run/cover/dive gameplay, and want a fantasy twist. Look no further. Co-op is broke but fixes exist for it if you're willing to look. Its blast from the past with very 2000s gameplay for $5.
I recommend it because I miss those days but this game is far from amazing. It does just enough right to be a fun trip into a more simple time. Granted...nothing here is spectacular but if you have fond memories of the era that spawned it, you could do worse with $5.

While it does get repetitive at times, this game is pretty fun overall
this was a fav of mine growing up. Dark fantasy adventure with 2 likable mercenaries who depend on each other to make it through. Laura Bailey kills it as E'lara for voice acting alongside the voice actor who brings a lot grit to our other protagonist. the game is a fun time of what gaming was like in 2012 with some games being shorter fun replayable adventures with a couple endings. there are secrets and hidden areas and good amount of combat. the combat may not be the smoothest there is, but i have fun with it playing as E'lara for the most part. I honestly would have loved a sequel and learning more about this world and lore, but it never came to be. definitely try it out especially for the price for a fun dark fantasy romp that i usually think back to every now and then.

El peor juego que he jugado en años, si no en toda mi vida. Me parece insólito que venga firmado por Bethesda y Brian Fargo. Es malo incluso considerando la época en la que salió. La jugabilidad es horrible y monótona, el diseño de niveles es inexistente, la historia es absurda y nada tiene sentido, el final es tan abrupto e incoherente que me resultó una falta de respeto para quienes soportamos la tortura de llegar hasta él. No entiendo las reseñas positivas.
Le pondría un 2/10 si el final no fuese tan ofensivo con mi tiempo, pero por ese final es un -13/10, un punto menos por cada una de las horas que me hizo perder.
This game.. is average personified, nothing that gets out of the ordinary, but also not that horrible of a game either.
This game begins with an interesting premise: A duo of mercenaries meet a morally ambiguous goth mommy looking girl, whose motives wont be made clear until the end, which grants you power to go stop the evil that is threatening the land.
The environment is so similar to the Lord Of The Rings universe but back then, pretty good looking. The enemies are well designed, the Minotaurs look pretty good, and the Wargar look terrifying.
The rest of the story itself is pretty meh, getting pieces of lore through reanimating the dead, to find out their own part.
The game offers a co-op, which probably will make the experience of the game more fun, but did not have anyone else to play this with xD.
And now comes the part that can throw a lot of people off.. the gameplay:
-The game is as linear as can be, with occasional detours you can make, signaled by the characters' dialogue to let you know if you stray off the story path, with mini puzzles to lead to treasure(which i am gonna explain how it works)
-The combat is fairly easy, and does not really change throughout the game: Both characters have ranged and close-quarters combat, but E'Lara excels at archery, while Caddoc is the fighter.
-The progression is done through collecting crystals to get new abilities, but the ones that end up spamming are Caddoc's power-up for E'Lara, and E'Lara's armor piercing arrow, which deals the most damage, making the game pretty repetitive and feeling lacking in progression. And the newer weapons you collect, even though some have a different name, they look the same but have bigger damage.
-The combat sessions are usually waves of enemies, then some random point 'n click sequences on a stationary weapon, be it a cannon or an arrow-dispensing machinegun.
-The treasures... that consist in gold and magic weapons.. and well... gold is only used for another gamemode, where you do your own level, thus rendering gold useless in the main game itself, and the magic weapons' effect is gone after a few kills, reverting it back to a normal weapon.
The best part, is the voice acting, which even though it has less than 10 total voice actors, there are names like Laura Bailey, Graham McTavish, Robin Atkin Downes and.. fkin Princess Xena(Lucy Lawless, ofc voicing the goth mommy looking lady). And the exchanges between E'Lara and Caddoc are really good, which adds a little to the entertainment.
All in all, the game does not overstay its welcome, but can throw off people by being repetitive and average in general. I'd give it a 6, but had fun in it!

Игра вышла в 2011 году на PC, PlayStation 3 и Xbox 360 с возможностью игры в кооперативе. В русской локализации можно услышать название «Hunted: Кузня демонов», то есть прямой перевод. Работающая на игровом движке Unreal 3, игра — свежий взгляд на классическую игру жанра фэнтези, что обеспечивает ей интенсивность и динамичность современного шутера. Взяв под свой контроль либо лучницу Элару — мастера дистанционных атак, либо Каддока — мастера меча, вы и ваш напарник должны спуститься в темный мир ужаса для получения незабываемого опыта взаимовыручки в совместных действиях. По мере продвижения вглубь мира Кала Моор, вы будете использовать различные виды смертоносного оружия, могущественных заклинаний и тактик защиты друг друга, чтобы выстоять перед сменяющими друг друга волнами жутких врагов. Геймплей: В игре 6 глав и столько же подглав, каждая, ну или почти каждая непохоже на предыдущую, ну или чередуются хотя бы город с подземельем и долина, в конце соответственно главы в *.6 нас ждет босс. В основе игра про боевку с совмещением стилей дальнего и ближнего боя, так и со сменой персонажей по нужде (можно и без смены играть, бот понимающий). По ходу игры мы собираем золото, которое нужно для режима Crucible (не влияет на кампанию) - 21 карта созданная разработчиками с различными челленджами на прохождение карты может занимать до 40 минут в кооперативе, - так же кристаллы, которые ответственны за прокачку персонажей, что немало важно, ибо если играть на предпоследнем уровне сложности, то арены проходятся не по щелчку пальца даже полностью улучшенными способностями, что на последнем уровне я побаиваюсь, не даром он закрыт изначально. По мимо кристаллов и из осколков (тоже самое, только их надо собирать 4, чтобы один кристалл собрать) есть еще слёзы дракона, чет так и не понял для чего, мол, великая награда нас ждет. Что понравилось, так это головоломки, достаточно второстепенные, но интересные, так еще и с наградой в конце. Как и в кооперативе, так и в одиночке у нас в общей сложности есть по 3 у каждого героя склянки возрождения, но персонаж в предсмертных агониях примерно секунд 10-15, поэтому медлить с возрождением бота или напарника нельзя, ибо перезапуск с контрольной точки. У каждого есть по два оружия основного и одному второстепенного для их класса, почему-то находя улучшение на Элару, я видел улучшенный меч редко всего раза 2, но все же, а на Каддока, по-моему, не было арбалета улучшенного, кстати, кроме улучшенных оружий для истребление нечести можно практиковать, про прокачку магии тоже не стоит забывать, заметно упрощает бои, но нужно успевать, эффект не вечен, либо каждый выстрел тратит ману, что промахиваться не вариант. Интересная деталь, которую я больше не использовал, дух проводник на Z.
Звук: Музыка — на хорошем уровне. Она отлично дополняет и кат-сцены, и напряженные бои. Но настоящую магию создает звуковое оформление: скрип ветра в разрушенных городах, завывание и оркестровый хор, зловещие стоны в подземельях, металлический лязг доспехов Каддока и тугие вздохи тетивы лука Элары. Эти детали погружают в мрачный мир с головой, делая его осязаемым и пугающе реальным.

Графика: Для 2011 года — достойный уровень, хотя некоторые претензии того времени понятны: палитра часто сводится к оттенкам серого, коричневого и темно-зеленого, а текстуры местности порой однообразны. Однако именно этот сумрачный визуальный ряд и создает неповторимую атмосферу отчаянного путешествия по гибнущему миру. Сейчас, спустя годы, игра выглядит вполне сносно для комфортного прохождения. Детализация персонажей радует — глаза не стеклянные, а живые, анимация моргания и мимики присутствует. Отдельно радуют «мелочи» вроде физики одежды ну или груди для косплеерши скорее чем лучницы и вполне убедительная система рэгдолла, когда поверженные враги падают действительно по-разному. Окружение, пусть и лишенное ярких красок, разнообразно по архитектуре: от готических городов до заросших руин, и почти каждая локация передает свое уникальное настроение. Из бед UE3 это слишком темные подземелья бывают.
Персонажи: Главные персонажи — Элара, лучница-эльф, ориентируется в основе на дальний бой, и Каддок, человек, воин ближнего боя, в основе ориентируется на ближний бой, но если что, у них есть и оружие: арбалет у война и меч у лучницы. За химией персонажей наблюдать сплошное удовольствие, так еще и если по сюжету ты упрощаешь себе некие моменты арены слэгом, то персонаж, кто пил, начинается себя вести очень некрасиво, в одном моменте одно и тоже действие (с убийством человека), но как подано. Второстепенные персонажи, как король Лира и мэр Дайфеда, и прочие сумасшедшие и просто люди — фон в основном, а среди более значимых это Серафина, игрок в многоходовочку еще тот.

Сюжет: Двое наемников в лице наших героев выполняют заказ кого-то на склянку маны, но потом челику вспоминается сон, который он видел недавно, и дорога приключений ведет их сначала к камню смерти и знакомству с дочерью Дайфеда, а после и путешествию как по другим городам типа Лира и Кала Мура, по дороге предстоит познакомиться с жителями как городов, жителями и захватчиками, так и долины Говада и Руин или стен Кала Мура. Перед нами мрачное фэнтези, где есть скелеты, демоны, люди, эльфы и драконы с минотаврами, варгары не в счет. Еще вспомнил про араклингов, ну прям эталонные предки саранчи из Gears of War. Встречаются челики, которые постоянно говорят одно и тоже, иногда немного бесило, а вот трупы были немногословны) Как понял, чтобы собрать весь лорный мультик, нужно выслушать всех 38 трупов, но мне вроде хватило и 34, где еще 4, я так и не понял.
Итог: Я прошел игру дважды: сначала в одиночку (~12.5 часов), выбрав «плохую» концовку, а затем в кооперативе (~15 часов), добившись «хорошего» финала. Второй заход был сложнее — некоторые арены требовали настоящей слаженности и тактики, что я и называю «страданиями», но тем ценнее была победа. Очень хорошую работу сделали люди в 2023 году по локализации озвучки, кайфанул от озвучки, и поэтому история мне очень понравилась — простая, которая могла произойти в жизни. В одиночке я проходил игру 12,5 часов, а в кооперативе 15 часов. «Крепкий середнячок», который со временем находка для ценителей кооператива. Да, у нее есть шероховатости: где-то неидеальный баланс в разбросе оружия, где-то повторяющиеся диалоги обывателей. Но ее неоспоримые достоинства — напряженный симбиозный геймплей, великолепная химия между главными героями и честная мотивация в виде щедрых наград — с лихвой все это окупают. Это не идеальная, но харизматичная и самобытная игра, которая доказывает: иногда самые запоминающиеся приключения — это те, что вы прошли плечом к плечу с другом, преодолевая «страдания» на аренах и сообща разгадывая секреты Кузницы Демона. По поводу кооператива добавлю, что не всегда может получится поиграть, но стоит проверить TCP/UDP порты для сетевой игры (7777, 7778, 9988, 28852).
Интересный факт была игра «The Demon's Forge» 1981 года так вот наша игра к которой, несмотря на совершенно другой жанр и никак не связанный с игрой 1981 года от Брайна Фарго - сюжет, имеет массу отсылок к ней. Среди них вторая часть названия, наличие очень длинных тоннелей с ценными находками в конце.

None of that FoR MoDeRn AuDiEnCe lunacy we get nowadays.
Just a bald man and his hot and badass elf slaying hoards of evil spawn.
A solid throwback to the couch-coop hack & slash days, complete with oldschool designed heroines. It's satisfying to headshot as well as mow through the waves of enemies, and it's refreshing to play a pair of characters don't feel like rehashed archetypes. Instead, they act FAR from heroic and their gritty, snarky personalities compliment the dark fantasy atmosphere perfectly. While their mocking banter is funny, the gameplay gets a bit shoddy and repetitive at times. But in the end, that's what completes that 2011 charm.

Es un juego repleto de bugs, y una historia bastante random, la verdad al principio no entendí nada, pero me tome la molestia de completar la historia y he de admitir que para echarte unas risas con tus amigos esta genial, lo jugué solo pero me lo pase bastante bien y acabe entendiendo la historia, le doy un 7/10 porque la jugabilidad y los gráfricos son bastante aceptables aunque algunos movimientos sean un poco lentos. en resumen lo recomiendo
I appear to be gradually playing Inxile’s back catalogue. Hunted is a bit of an odd one out for them, it’s is an entertaining if slight action “RPG,” that’s worth a punt as it’s very cheap now, though I must admit I probably would have been much more disappointed if I paid full price for it in 2011.
It’s a game that can be played, and much of it is designed around coop, though I played it single player, and to it’s credit, the AI partner worked fine. I believe that you can get the coop working still, and I imagine it would be a blast with a friend.
You play as either Caddoc or E’lara, two mercenaries who dress like strippers and who constantly emphasise they aren’t heroes. If this was released today, there’d be some po faced journalists writing about how sexist it is. Personally I enjoyed the over the top “grim dark” but sexy aesthetics. Ladies are buxom and wear very little clothing, but even the generic male guard models have exposed midriffs. It’s obviously not meant to be taken too seriously.
Gameplay wise, the two characters essentially work their way through a series of areas, killing enemies that spawn in. Both characters have bow and melee weapons, but Caddoc is the tank focusing on close combat, and E’lara is the ranged damage dealer. You can’t switch at will, but you can switch at multiple points between the two characters optionally at set points throughout the levels. I started by varying between the two, but I found that the melee combat was clunky, whereas the bow combat, while it plays like a cover shooter in many ways (there are even arrow “machine guns” you can use at points), was a lot more satisfying, and after unlocking some better abilities and picking up some better weapons, I felt like a big boobed Legolas, shooting enemies left and right. Your mileage may vary however, I’m not great at melee combat in most games.
The RPG elements are very slight. You have four slots for abilities, but there are only 6 abilities total for each character. They essentially boil down to various ways to make things explode or deal damage better, or buff the other character. I fully levelled up 4 for each character and had no trouble smashing through the back half of the game.
The game actually looks pretty good. I installed a reshade to spruce up the graphics a bit, but overall it looks very good for a game for 2011. Presentation is very good overall, it’s atmospheric with a grim dark but sexy atmosphere as mentioned. It has an epic atmosphere, with huge vistas and massive creatures in the background.
The storyline is decent, until the end, and makes you feel a part of the larger world, with lore entries abounded to flesh things out. The story itself is not that in depth, but carries the game along, and has some cliched, but somewhat interesting central mysteries. The voice acting is pretty decent as well, particularly Lucy Lawless who plays a very obviously evil sorceress.
Unfortunately the last half hour of the game feels rushed. It feels like it’s missing a couple of boss battles, and the final boss was very easy to beat. The game also doesn’t really introduce the main villain until the last couple of hours of the game, and he’s not really on screen until the very end. There’s hidden villans, but they aren’t really confronted or expounded on properly, with the ending cutscenes wrapping things up very quickly.
It’s also very easy to get a bad ending based on whether characters have consumed something earlier in the game, which isn’t really telegraphed as a choice. I don’t want everything being made obvious, but it was frustrating that as I noticed my characters began to react in a negative way, I made a conscious choice to not use said substance any more, and this choice still wasn’t reflected. Even the good ending, however, is very abrupt, and again could have benefited from a few more minutes of fleshing out the mysteries, character and lore of the game.
Still for a game that I got on sale for £1.19, and isn’t even that much more expensive when not on sale, I enjoyed spending several hours soaking up the atmosphere and making monsters head’s explode with arrows.

2 personajes muy carismáticos que dan mucho juego porque tiene roles muy diferentes (fuerza bruta y una arquera).
Los niveles, aunque son lineales, de vez en cuando tienen desvíos completamente opcionales, donde hacer pequeños puzzles parra obtener recompensas.
En cooperativo tiene que ser una maravilla, porque jugandolo a solas ya es muy bueno.
Worth the current price 5 usd for me, can get a bit repetitive at times, but the spells are fun when you upgrade them, and E'lara is a cutie I like the banter between her and Caddoc and this game was made in a time where a guy can be tough and can quip back when being quipped at, shame there's no follow up I feel like a sequel could've been something good.
If you told me back in the day this was a new Golden Axe game, I would believe you.

Дядя Фарго долго тужился, но, когда у тебя в повитухах беседка, вероятность выкидыша высока.
И вроде даже оно неплохо стартует, однако в течение часа настигают уныние и бесконечные самоповторы.
И не спасают даже пресловутые cиcьки!
Вся игра - методичное отстреливание (или нарезание на колбаски, но я играл, конечно же, за эльфийские cиcьки, поэтому, - отстреливание) двух с половиной типов мобов с тремя видами рескина, монотонно бегущих в сторону главных героев по кишкообразным тоскливым локациям. Барышня, в общем-то, тоже в состоянии орудовать мечом и щитом, равно как и бравому Каддоку можно вручить арбалет, но смысла в этом особого нет. Периодически постоянно по пути будут встречаться катапульты и стреломёты, из которых будут сначала стрелять вражины, а потом, в обязательном порядке на волю выпустят обильный поток живой силы для умерщвления этими же орудиями. Очень весело. Первые два раза.
В игре имеется рудиментарная линейная прокачка умений, причем последние навыки заблокированы (чем бы вы думали?) текущим номером главы, да. Вот до [strike]свадьбы[/strike] пятой главы - низя и точка. Помимо одной идиотской прокачки за кристаллы, есть вторая - еще более идиотская, основанная на принципе достижений. Воскресил напарника десять раз - можешь носить на один камушек воскрешения больше, убил энное количество противников из лука - можешь носить на 50 стрел больше... и, вишенкой на торте - собрал тыщу монет - теперь тебе в каждой кучке монет будет выпадать больше монет. Ну, вот это вот,- мы установили вам монетоприемник, чтобы когда вы кладёте монеты в монетоприёмник, вы могли класть еще больше монет в монетоприёмник. А самое смешное, что тратить эти монеты вообще некуда. ВООБЩЕ! Мы их собираем, просто чтобы собирать, чтобы потом собирать их еще больше. Такая идиотия - большая редкость, Фарго старался, очевидно!
Картинка, с учётом того, что это UE3, выглядит позорно-обсосно, левел-дизайн жестко бухал и вообще на совещухах не появлялся, "одинаковые лестничные клетки окрашены в типовой, приятный цвет... а в безликие двери врезаны типовые замки". Кстати, о дверях. Знаменитое "кооперативное" открывание дверей и пролезание в щели - строго по графику, каждые пять минут. У Э'Лары даже реплика стёба проскакивает на этот счёт. Звуки и музыка тоже навевают мысли о каких-то бесплатных пресетах для начинающих саунд-дизайнеров. Но, имеется полная озвучка от [i]Mechanics VoiceOver[/i].
Сюжетно же, одни cиcьки сталкиваются в противостоянии с другими cиcьками, в результате чего образуется межсисечный коллапс, для разрешения которого необходимо спуститься в те самые глубины (если вы понимаете о чём я) и... и дальше вас ожидают целых аж три концовки, зависящие от того, пил ли кто-нибудь из героев местную магическую жижу или нет. Причем, игра никак даже не пытается намекнуть на то, что это пойло возымеет такой эффект. Прохождение занимает что-то около десяти часов. Десяти тоскливых часов.
Короче говоря, единственный вариант на поиграть в сие безобразие - набухаться и засесть поржать в коопе, который по всемирным паутинам уже не запустить, в связи с безвременной кончиной геймспая, а вот локально можно исхитриться. Других плюсов я что-то выдумать не могу. Ну, разве что этот игорь всё ещё способен сильно насолить каким-нибудь THEY из какой-нибудь Sweet Baby Inc. В остальном, [b]Hunted: The Demon's Forge[/b] - ещё один синоним слову скука.
А еще в игре есть огр. Он просто есть. Он просто ходит туда-сюда в кат-сценах и ломает стены. Бывает чеховское ружьё, а бывает фарговский огр. Да.

Solid 8/10 game. Game was made by Brian Fargo & Co. has great lore. Dark. Gritty. NORMAL. Not the slightest stench of feminism. A game made by men for men. but aint worth more than 5$. I bought it on allkeyshop.com for $1.38 def worth the money. Is super fun when you use cheat engine with it and get unlimited health and mana.
This is another game that got put on the backburner while I played other games. I hope to go back to it some day.

[b]Gameplay[/b] to powtarzalna sieczka sprowadzająca się wyłącznie do walki. Jedyną „przerwą” są pokoje odpoczynku, gdzie znajdujemy mikstury, broń i ulepszamy umiejętności. System rozwoju ogranicza się do podbijania obrażeń i zasięgu umiejętności – żadnej głębi, żadnych realnych wyborów.
Broń dzieli się na [b]zwykłą i magiczną[/b]. Ta druga zadaje ogromne obrażenia, dopóki ma ładunki. Gdy się rozładują, staje się bezużytecznym złomem, który zadaje ułamek obrażeń.
Walka jest nieprzyjemna i sztucznie przedłużana. Gra uwielbia blokować progres tankowatymi przeciwnikami, których trzeba tłuc w nieskończoność. Do tego wróg ma bogatszy wachlarz ruchów niż gracz – potrafi atakować z rozbiegu, podczas gdy Caddoc nawet nie potrafi biec z tarczą.
Rozwój postaci wymaga żmudnych, biernych zadań typu „zabij 1000 przeciwników daną bronią”. To czysta monotonia, która nie daje żadnej satysfakcji.
[b]Kooperacja[/b] miała być filarem gry, a w praktyce sprowadza się do pokonywania absurdalnych przeszkód środowiskowych. Postacie czołgają się pod belkami, pod którymi spokojnie mogłyby przejść wyprostowane, albo przeciskają się przez przejścia szerokie na metr. Co gorsza, dziś tryb co-op bez modów i programów trzecich w ogóle nie działa, więc nawet tej jedynej „zalety” nie da się doświadczyć.
[b]Grafika[/b] prezentuje się przeciętnie. Główne postacie wyglądają nieźle i mają charakterystyczny styl, ale większość lokacji jest ponura, mdła i brzydka. Tylko w akcie III i IV widać jakąkolwiek poprawę wizualną.
[b]Fabuła[/b] w samej strukturze nie jest zła i pod koniec spina się w całość. Niestety sposób opowiadania to dramat – historia jest ciągle przerywana kolejnymi falami walki, przez co traci tempo. Lore poznajemy przez przesłuchiwanie zmarłych i ten element akurat działa sensownie, bo jest powiązany z fabularnym artefaktem.
[b]Udźwiękowienie[/b] nie zostaje w pamięci. Muzyka i dźwięki są zagłuszane przez hałas walki, więc całość brzmi nijako i chaotycznie.

[u]Hunted: The Demon’s Forge[/u] miało być mrocznym fantasy w stylu Gears of War, a wyszła monotonna sieczka z nieprzyjemną walką, tragiczną kooperacją i słabym designem.
Nie polecam nikomu, chyba że ktoś kolekcjonuje [u] growe katastrofy [/u].
The game can have some pretty challenging parts when you enjoy archery as I do in every game and choose this specific character - of course SOME may choose her for other reasons as well 🍑
But if you like funny banter between two likeable characters, some more or less 2000'ish style kinda puzzles, a story, that's even slightly interesting, I can fully recommend this to you.
Was playing with mouse and keyboard, the precision wasn't that great by default. But luckily you can tweak a lot using the config thanks to good old Unreal Engine.
Long story short: Hop into the MOST "Strategically placed!" FEMALE armour in recent fantasy history and strap on for an entertaining fantasy-ride, packed as action-game, you can even enjoy in coop when loading a specific mod or run your favorite VPN tool of choice.
the graphics hold up really well, but the gameplay is really janky.

Должен сказать сразу, что несмотря на много устаревших (даже для тех времён) вещей, у игры есть плюсы и весьма серьезные. И они касается не только женской главной героини. Всё-таки, это одна из тех игр, которая пытается использовать рейтинг 18+ на полную во всех аспектах.
Графика и дизайн (6/10)
Тут сразу могу вспомнить цитату из ЛКИ, которой я пользуюсь и впредь. Если хотите определить хорошую игру на Unreal Engine - посмотрите на спецэффекты. И их здесь много. Взрывы, огонь, лёд, молнии...однако, их качество не внушает. "Магия" у оружия выглядит просто как скучные вихри энергии. Огонь и взрывы - как простые двумерные спрайты. Зачарования - просто вихри энергии вокруг оружия или моделей.
Модели, впрочем, надо прознать выглядят достаточно неплохо и аутентично. Будь то весомые достоинства эльфийки или сияющая лысина местного война. Ситуация с врагами и НПС похуже, но всё равно выглядят неплохо для своего времени. При этом, визуала среди врагов в целом достаточно много и однообразие массы не так бросается в глаза, а в дизайне, местами, прямо-таки по-максимуму используется взрослый рейтинг. Как насчёт убийц, что должны были оторвать себе голову для превращения в монстра?
Локации в игре весьма разнообразные, будь то подземелья, разрушенные города, затерянные храмы, проклятые леса. Жаль только, что текстуры зачастую весьма мыльные, на игре будто бы висит какой-то фильтр, а качество видеороликов удручает. Впрочем, если вы не наяриваете на качество графики, то в целом визуальная часть не должна оттолкнуть.
Звук и озвучка (6/10)
У игры можно скачать русскую озвучку. В целом она хорошая и полная, но местами перепутаны реплики героев. Музыка...Ну, она есть. Звуковые эффекты присутствуют. Мы играем не в полной тишине. Это максимум, что тут можно сказать. Однако сюда добавлю, что диалоги героев очень хорошо показывают взаимодействие и отношения между персонажами.
Геймплей (6/10)
В своей базе игру можно назвать или скучным шутером при игре за Эльфийку, или скучным слешером при игре за Воина. Оружия в игре по 3 типа для каждого, но отличается в первую очередь только скоростью и уроном. И по-началу это может разочаровывать - никаких особых комбо или приёмов нет, разве что неуклюжие добивания на манер старых игр, да сильные удары.
Но в игре есть спецприёмы и магия, которая может слегка разнообразить процесс. Например, эльфийка может разбивать вражеские щиты специальным выстрелом, а воин - поднимать врагов в воздух, дабы их было легче расстрелять. Да и в целом, уязвимости к электричеству или огню в игре очень активно используются.
ИИ напарника...средний. Он исправно воскрешает игрока, неплохо танкует врагов и иногда даже может убить кого-то, но в целом я на него бы не рассчитывал. А ещё он иногда может застревать или падать, из-за чего за ним приходится спускаться.
Враги так же умеренно умные. Может быть случайно или за счёт количества, но они неплохо синергируют между собой. Умеют защищаться щитами, укрываться от стрел. Но, всё-таки в основном они берут массой (что, в целом, лорно обосновано).
Впрочем, бои разбавляются загадками и собирательством секретов (и те, и те неплохо нативно вписаны в процесс). И они в целом хороши. Какие-то можно решить чисто интуитивно, собрав нужные вещи, а в каких-то придётся слегка подумать. Да и коллекционок в игре много - трупы, которые рассказывают лор. Пленники, делящиеся информацией. Секретные проходы с мощным оружием и кристаллами развития.
Ну и да. Воин может стрелять из арбалета, а Эльфийка может драться мечом и щитом, и даже можно найти новое оружие...Но пригождается это в исключительных ситуациях. А ещё тут можно в особо сложных боях испить Слега - местного боевого наркотика, из-за которого всё и происходит. Впрочем, сложность тут достаточно справедливая, а так же есть какая-никакая прокачка характеристик и навыков за счёт выполнения условий.
Сюжет и Лор (7/10)
Наверное, одна из лучших частей игры. Несмотря на примитивность сюжета (сперва спасаем местную принцессу в беде, а затем пытаемся сразить мировое зло), за ним интересно наблюдать. Мы посетим несколько городов, разрушенных войной и чьё население угнано в рабство. Узнаем, как главный злодей вырвал глаза драконам, дабы подчинить их своей воле. Узнаем, что эльфы в этом мире были истреблены минотаврами и у каждого героя есть своя трагедия.
В целом, игра довольно охотно делится информацией и под конец сюжета, к нему не остаётся ключевых вопросов. Всё поясняют или персонажи, или мертвецы, с которыми мы можем пообщаться. Да и в целом проработка и история мира здесь хороша...но чувствуется, что очень многие моменты отложены будто бы на сиквел. Откуда всё-таки взялся Слэг? Как именно были призваны демоны? Что в итоге стало с драконами? Есть ли всё-таки ещё эльфы? Это не обязательные вопросы, но ответы на них узнать хочется.
Что же касается персонажей, действующих лиц тут не много, но они достаточно запоминающиеся и не только за счёт форм. Загадочная Серафина, что дарует героям магические силы. Э'лара - последняя живая эльфийка, что обожает взрывы и хаос. Воин Каддок, что давным-давно совершил какую-то роковую ошибку.
Сама же игра проходится часов за 10-15, в зависимости от внимательности и может похвастаться тремя концовками. И, пусть выбор тут отталкиваться от конкретных решений, но он в любом случае очень ясно намекает на продолжение...
DLC, Дополнения, Бонусы (8/10)
DLC как бы есть, но как бы нет. В игре доступно несколько альтернативных скинов для персонажей и снаряжения, но получить их можно только за коды для предзаказа...или через сторонние сохранения.
Есть Новая Игра Плюс, что позволяет вдоволь насладиться полной мощью. Есть внутриигровая энциклопедия, что позволяет ещё глубже погрузиться в мир игры (пусть статей там и не так много как хотелось бы). А ещё есть режим строительства собственных карт-испытаний, кои можно проходить за золото. Сейчас этот режим лично мне показался скучноватым, но я подобное люблю в играх.
Баги, Фичи, Оптимизация (7/10)
В целом, игра идёт хорошо, что ожидаемо, учитывая возраст. Есть пара неприятных багов с зависающими загадками, если начать выполнять их раньше, чем загадку взять. Ну, и напарник-ИИ может зависать и застревать в некоторых местах.
Итог
Да, эта игра местами устарела, даже по меркам 2011 года. Но, она всё ещё может дать неплохой мир, сравнительно мрачную и интересную историю. И, что главное, она длиться не так уж долго, что бы успеть сильно надоесть. Это тот случай, когда тяжело сказать - хорошая игра или плохая.

Caos, bugs y estrés… pero de la mejor manera posible. Este juego es como una montaña rusa defectuosa: a veces se descarrila, pero no puedes dejar de reír.
Jugarlo con un amigo o en pareja multiplica la locura: bromas internas, decisiones cuestionables y carcajadas aseguradas. Los personajes son un espectáculo por sí solos (¡grande el pelao y la elfa!).
Terminamos con el final malo… pero con la satisfacción de haber encontrado una auténtica joyita oculta.

Good dark fantasy hack and slash. For a 2011 game it doesn't look that bad though I suspect the darkness and shadows hide a lot.
With that said, I have encountered a bug. On the spider boss, Caddoc get's stuck where I need to use the ballista and he won't move. I've tried both sections with both characters and they both get suck. Without the AI controlled character I can't do enough damage to kill the spider. I'll try again later but for right now. I'm stuck

buggy, badly designed fights. pretty bad AI. Had to restart from last checkpoint several times due to fights bugging out and quest items not dropping. Also (and not technically a negative), very "on rails."

My lord this game was padding and filer to the extreme. The combat and "rpg" mechanics are so bare bones and basic. The story and characters i didn't care about and just skipped all the cut-scenes. There's 6 levels and holy hell there's no reason they needed to be as long as they were. I beat it but i really did not enjoy my time with this. The elf is hot though.
No está tan ajustado como un God of War, pero es una buena aventura con una dupla protagonica excelente.
Las voces principales son de Graham McTavish y Lucy Lawless, un lujo aparte. Muy buen OST tambien.
Es medio jodido sacar el final bueno, y en dos vueltas no he podido. Supongo que algún dia volveré para intentar de nuevo.

Unless you have someone to do this co op locally with you this isn't worth your time. I was pretty excited at the start, but after 2 hours its very repetitive. And repetitive games can make you make your own fun in your own in head if the core gameplay is good enough, sadly the controls and gameplay is its weakest aspect. sword combat is floaty with no impact, blocking can work if a enemy is directly in front of you, other than that a enemy can still hit you from the sides even if you knew you blocked., parrying doesnt exist here. Ranged attacks are not much better, while there is cover you can actually use, the reticles are really bad, and if you are trying to hit a enemy from a far distance its a gamble if it will hit or not, even when you are dead center. movement is clunky and slow, and its frustrating when all of the enemies are faster than you. a enemy could hit you in a combo and you cannot block or hit back and you will be stunlocked, and that doesn't work the other way around. Its story was good though to be honest i got distracted by the elf girl the entire time. Puzzles exist here but are confusing and not very well structured. Lastly this is a very rough PC port of this game, i assume the following isnt a issue on consoles, but its worth saying for the steam version at least. This game does support controller, the game was made with that in mind, but its almost unplayable this way. as the aim sensitivity is very very low as its impossible to hit anything with a bow shorter than medium range and the sensitivity settings only let you change the camera orbiting the characters. Unless you resort to keyboard where aiming on mouse is perfectly fine but all the keys are awkward and not built for it. Overall unless you are drunk or high with a buddy and want to have some dumb mindless fun, this ain't with your time or money
I shouldn't really be complaining about a game that costs 1.50 EUR on sale but it really feels like a giant waste of time. This is a linear RPG that you either play like Gears of War, sitting behind cower and shooting enemies with your bow. Or you go in melee with sword and shield and effectively attempt to left click them to death.
Neither option has any depth to it whatsoever. The environments all look pretty much identical to each other. Story is nonexistent and progression is effectively watching your numbers go slightly bigger ever now and then. Music is also so poor I can barely acknowledge it's existence.
A bit sad since there aren't exactly many fantasy games where you can play as a pretty girl like E'lara here but after about 2 hours I really couldn't take it anymore.
Maybe I will finish the game in 5 years or so.

I used to play this game on Xbox 360. Playing it again on Steam brought back old and good memories. And it reminded me why I hated the ending.

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge – это кооперативный фэнтези-экшен от inXile Entertainment и Bethesda (да, когда-то беседка могла и в такое), который, несмотря на неоднозначные оценки при релизе, обладает целым рядом достоинств, делающих его уникальным и запоминающимся. Игра сочетает в себе динамичные сражения, атмосферный мир, интересный сюжет с неожиданными поворотами и неоднозначных персонажей.
🔹 [u]Графика и визуальный стиль[/u]
Для своего времени (2011 год) Hunted выглядела весьма достойно. Мрачные подземелья, полуразрушенные крепости, заснеженные ущелья – всё это создаёт атмосферу тёмного фэнтези в духе "Властелина Колец" и "Берсерка".
Дизайн локаций разнообразен: от готических замков до пещер, наполненных древними артефактами.
Эффекты заклинаний и ударов выглядят сочно, особенно магия и кровавые фонтаны после добиваний.
Модели персонажей детализированы, особенно броня и оружие.
Несмотря на некоторую "жесткость" анимаций, игра сохраняет свой уникальный стиль, который не устарел даже спустя годы.
🔹 [u]Звук и озвучка[/u]
Саундтрек в Hunted – это эпичные оркестровые композиции, которые идеально подходят под боевые сцены и исследование мира.
Озвучка персонажей на высоком уровне: Э’лара (Лусиан Муччи) и Кадден (Стивен Блум) отлично передают свои характеры – саркастичную наёмницу и грубоватого варвара. Их диалоги полны чёрного юмора и братской (почти романтической?) химии.
Звуки боя – тяжёлые удары мечом, свист стрел, рёв монстров – всё это создаёт мощный эффект присутствия.
🔹 [u]Персонажи и их колорит[/u]
Главная изюминка игры – это дуэт протагонистов:
Э’лара – обворожительно-сексуальная и ловкая эльфийская лучница с циничным юмором, но не лишённая морали.
Кадден – грубый воин человек, который на деле оказывается более рассудительным, чем кажется.
Их отношения – смесь дружбы, соперничества и даже намёков на нечто большее. Диалоги написаны с душой, и за время игры начинаешь искренне сопереживать этой паре.
Антагонисты тоже неоднозначны – без спойлеров можно сказать, что здесь есть неожиданные предательства и серые мотивы, а не просто "злодей ради злодейства".
🔹 [u]Дизайн уровней и геймплей[/u]
Игра предлагает смесь рукопашных схваток, стрельбы из лука и магии:
Кадден специализируется на ближнем бое, Э’лара – на дальних атаках, но оба могут использовать магию.
Уровни линейны, но с элементами исследования – можно находить скрытые артефакты, улучшения и мертвецов (аналог записок из других игр, расширяющих информацию о мире).
Головоломки простые, но добавляют разнообразия в постоянные бои против орд врагов.
Физика… груди? Да, разработчики не скрывали, что добавили "естественную" физику для Э’лары, что стало предметом шуток, но в целом это даже сейчас выглядит отлично и является забытой технологией далеких предков западного геймдева.
Кооператив – это главная фишка игры. В одиночку она тоже играбельна (ИИ напарника неплох), но вдвоём – в разы веселее.
🔹 [u]Сюжет и неожиданные повороты[/u]
Без спойлеров: история начинается как стандартное "спасите принцессу", но потом резко уходит в сторону мрачного фэнтези с элементами лавкрафтовского ужаса.
Темы жертвенности, предательства и искупления раскрыты неожиданно глубоко.
Финал (точнее два) оставляет простор для размышлений и споров, ведь решения игрока напрямую влияют на исход истории.
Hunted: The Demon’s Forge – это недооценённый эксперимент, который сочетает в себе:

If you don't mind playing an older game this is one is pretty good, it's got good combat, sexy characters, a decent enough story, it's a shame it got passed over by so many over the years but sometimes gems fall through the cracks, but if you can handle playing a older type of game then this one is worth it, but as always, It's.. Up.. To.. You, and i'll leave it at that (^_−).
