그냥 이 겜은 그래픽만 좋은 쓰레기다
솔직히 에일로이 성형 모드 없었으면 손도 안댔을거임.

스토리는 똥싸다 중간에 끊은 느낌이고 캐릭터들은 디자인부터 성격, 대사 뭐하나 매력적이게 나오는 캐릭터가 없음. 그나마 사막에서 도굴하던 3형제 퀘스트가 좀 재밌는 부분인데 그거말곤 진짜 흥미로운 스토리나 매력적인 캐릭터가 하나도 없음.
주인공은 하루종일 혼잣말 중얼거리는 정신병자 아줌마가 됐고 동료들은 존재감 없는 남자들이랑 미친 멘헤라 금쪽이 이런애들 밖에 없는데다가 나머지는 임팩트가 없어서 기억도 안남.

전투는 겉보기엔 괜찮아보이지만 뒤로갈수록 적이나 플레이어나 넉백, 경직 원툴이라 누가 먼저 넘어지나 싸움인데 한번 넘어지면 적이든 플레이어든 뒤질때까지 일어나지를 못함. 근접 공격은 거의 쓸모가 없고 함정을 깐다던가 은신해서 뒤잡하는 식의 플레이도 의미가 없어짐.

그리고 개ㅈ같은 포커스. 길찾기도 안되고 물건찾기도 안되고 약점 속성 찾기도 존나 오래걸리고 켤때마다 이속느려지는 씹쓰레기 스캐너임. 스캐너라는 이름 붙이기도 민망한 수준인데 전작에선 좀 쓸만했던거 같은데 왜 이렇게 됐는지 모르겠음. 몹끼리 조금이라도 겹쳐있으면 제대로 락온이 안되는데다가 좀만 빠르게 움직이면 락온이 풀려버림. 이딴 쓰레기를 대단한 고대 기술이라고 끼고 다니는 정신병자 아줌마가 대단하다.

I played through Horizon Zero Dawn (HZD) and now 40+ hours invested in Horizon Forbidden West (HFW). HFW incorporates some great quality of life enhancements on inventory management. The biggest being if you run our of space items go directly to a stash you can access from many places. Vendors now call out which items are purely sell for shards so you are much less likely to merch excess inventory only to find you need the item a little later for upgrade or trade.

Voice acting and character development remain great. Quest design is not monotonous because even when you are doing fetch quests the story behind the quest is interesting.

The main story arc that continues from HZD is very engaging. I really want to know what is going to happen.

There are a number of new weapon types and the skill tree has been rebuilt so there is a lot of new stuff to experience vs HZD.

Bottom line, is if you liked HZD you should like HFW.

사이드 퀘도 재밌어서 밀다보면 메인퀘가 쉬워져서 좋은건지 약간 긴가민가함(난이도 매우어려움 해도 가뿐함)
동료들도 각자 매력 터지는데 특히 코탈로 전용으로 하나 내주면 좋겠음. 내 사심 :)
단점은 메인퀘 고지가 코앞인데 이거 깨버리면 사이드 재미없을까봐 못깨는것..

好玩，拆卸鋼鐵的清脆音效與厚實的打擊手感，和獵殺機器時配著個別機種的專屬BGM而產生相互交織著的體驗，戰鬥爽感十足。且遊戲模組相當精美，無論是機械還是背景，完全看不膩。至於許多人詬病的主角臉變胖的問題，看久就習慣了，反正平時遊玩都是看背面，且本作主角的賣點從來都不是臉蛋，而是她的人格魅力和戰鬥時帥氣的表現。
但難免還是有許多缺點，遊戲BUG也不少，但都還能接受。本人倒是相當討厭其中的場景解謎，很多都是在考驗的觀察力，關鍵點沒看到的話就會卡很久。

-Элой - боевой хомяк из Овервотч.

Вобщем унылый повесточный высер, который тянет чисто на графике, до момента пока игроку не надоест ковырять части мобов уворачиваясь от крыльев самолета.

This game looks amazing, and sadly, this port has a lot of issues. But let me clarify, I'm not talking about FPS, since with my Nvidia 3090 and Ryzen 7900, it runs at +100 fps in 2K with most graphical options maxed (I disabled some because I didn't like them, like motion blur).

Issue 1) Shadows and light flicker. As I searched on the internet, I read that to fix that you should disable "Nvidia Reflex" (which I did, and it indeed fixed it).

Issue 2) The head of the characters were being separated from the body (the heads were floating, with a distinct separation between the neck and the body). I searched on the internet, and read that you had to increase the "level of detail" to "high" (which I did, and it indeed fixed it).

Issue 3) For this one there is no fix. Some lights (like the lens flare from the sun) clip through things, and I have many times seen the lens flare come from under the terrain or through a solid mountain, or even from underwater. Also I have had many times bursts of light appear and disappear in repeated patterns, which is very annoying and immersion-breaking during cinematics.

There are also issues with dialogues, both from NPCs and Aloy's. Many times Aloy is talking and suddenly the dialogue cuts (this is very annoying because many times this happens when you are doing missions, so obviously that dialogue won't be repeated, as it was part of the mission), and NPCs dialogues also cut. This has happened suddenly but also when I'm walking farther away from some NPCs and suddenly they start talking and because I'm too far it gets cut (again, this is annoying because this happens also in story missions, for example in the mission "The Dying Lands" when Varl is talking).

Climbing also has problems, since many times I'm walking/running close to a wall (for example while being chased by machines) and Aloy starts climbing automatically, which sucks because the enemies start shooting at me and I eat that damage, and I have to waste time pressing "C" to release myself from the climb. And when Aloy does this she many times doesn't land on where I was, but lands for example on top of a rock, and if I try to run it automatically grabs her AGAIN to the climb point (this is so F annoying, so so F annoying).

There is also a problem with the gliding and grappling. To use your grappling hook to hook yourself to a grappling point, you need to tap "Space Bar", but to glide you need to hold "Space Bar"... Well, the game doesn't understand the difference between them, since many times I jump from a height and hold "Space Bar", but Aloy decides to grab herself to a grappling point that wasn't even visible in my field of view. And guess what, I have also eaten damage from enemies due to the character doing this (which again, is SO F ANNOYING). Why can't the game recognize the difference between "tapping a button" and "holding a button"? And why did they have to use the same friggin button for both actions if the game can't recognize the difference between the actions?

Suffice it to say that the previous game didn't have any of these problems.
The game is good, but the port is a P of S.

Horizon Forbidden West is, in many ways, very much a sequel to the first game. For better and for worst. There is some early enjoyment to be had in wandering around the world and hunting robotic dinosaurs. It is also an impressive game graphically speaking, and is well-optimized considering its visual output. The problems with Forbidden West lie in its creative aspects and design. This is, and I am not attempting to be dramatic, quite possible the worst written game that I have ever played. The plot is bland, predictable, and ham-fisted, an almost impressive feat given the base premise of post-apocalyptic robotic dinosaurs and rogue AI. The characters, meanwhile, are this game's greatest sin. Every side character in the world seemingly exists only as a cardboard cutout to either despise or worship the protagonist, Aloy. None of these side characters have any personality or agency of their own. Their motivations are solely predicated on helping or hindering the protagonist's quest. Aloy, meanwhile, is a chosen-one archetype with no charisma, depth, or struggle. She effortlessly succeeds because that is what the plot dictates, never achieving any personal growth or experiencing anything resembling a character arc. Her only emotions seem to be indifference and arrogance. She constantly belittles those around her and aggrandizes herself. She is deeply, truly unlikable as a character. Yet this does not seem to be by design, as in well-written games such as Grand Theft Auto V or The Last of Us. Here, by the way that side characters and the narrative treat her, Aloy seems as if the writers intended for her to be a relatable self-insert who quips and is self-confident. If so, then they failed miserably. Horizon Forbidden West is a competently-made game in many regards, and could have been an enjoyable rendition of the Ubisoft-style open world game. However, the sheer incompetence of the writing and character work within this game rendered it utterly unenjoyable. I am unable to recommend this game.

An very good game which nicely balances difficulty, story telling and exploration. It is one of the few sequels that is actually good. You'll need a decent graphics card though, one that can at least maintain 30 fps even in some of the more intense parts that have a lot going on. Some of the weapon mechanics can be a bit difficult to properly master but with the verity of weapons it is guaranteed that you can find the right combination that fits your a play style perfectly.

Fun and good looking game.

Some Cons.

-Worse combat. Your attacks are much slower than then enemies, especially when using a Bow. Enemies have lock on attacks, so they will just fly over to you mid strike, so avoiding hits is hard.

Drawing a Bow is almost 3x slower than an enemy melee attack, so getting hit is very likely.
If you get knocked down, you will be down for 2-3 seconds, enemies cannot take advantage of it but what they can do is attack you right after you get up, escentially stun locking you. I seriously hate this mechanic. Who ever made that decision need to be fired.

You are much weaker in this game, Melee attacks are useless as it will guarentee that you will get knocked down, and Bow and arrows draws really slowly and barely deals any damage. Not to mention how the enemies just jumps around and locks onto you, with both their meele attacks and ranged.

-The new weapons sucks. All of the new weapons apart from the Spike thrower, the others are just to weak and or to slow to be of any use. Yes the Spike thrower does charge up pretty slowly, but it makes of for it in damage.

-Terrible swimming controls. Like with a lot of games that has a swimming mechanic, it is terrible.
Either steer with your camera or use buttons to ascend or descend. Both with delays, Getting stuck is guarenteed.

-Dodging. In most games Dodging will allow you to avoid attacks, Not in this game however. It is more used as a movement mechanic than a dodging mechanic. So it is just a roll.

-Bugs and missplacements. You will find quite a few object either in something or floating. Seen a few boxes underneath the ground and som in rocks.

Machine parts that you shoot off can just randomly depsawn, had this happening multiple times and the most annyoing was at a Hunting ground, I had to use a gun that i shot of an enemy, but the weapon would just instantly despawn after getting shot off, making the Objective impossible.

Machine and humans will also sometimes be underneath the ground or straight up invisible.
It is ridiculously easy to get out of the map.

-The friendly west. I honestly don't understand why they made such a big deal out of how unsafe and unruly the west is. There is only one clan that is unfrindly and they are just your typical bandits walking around i a camp.

You also have plenty of Oseram scavangers out there. It almost feels safer than the East.
For Christ sake there is even a clan dedicated to peace.

Sure there are more deadlier machines, but they only mention how vicous the different clans are.

-Friendly Ai. They suck, Deals very little damage, rarily attacks and the Robots will still just go for you. Overriden machines are much better than Human companions, When they want to acknowledge the enemies, that is.

-Ai. They are terrible, a lot of the time they will just stand there and do nothing as you kill it.

-Exploration sucks. The only things that you are going to find is, a Campfire, Firegleam, Metal flower or an area that is meant for a mission.

Firegleam and the Metal flowers are the worst things. Metal flowers is no longer a collectible resource like in HZD. No longer do you get any unique weapons from Metal flowers, all you get is some boring normal loot boxes.

Both Metal flowers and Firegleam does the same thing. Sure Firegleam is also used as a puzzle in ruins for a relic. But mostly it is just used to get a box.

-Skill tree sucks. Skill trees are nothing special whatsoever. Slightly increases to specific things is all that you can expect from it.

-Small things. Climbing is annoying, won't always reach for the next step, grab or even pull themselves up. Droping of is also annoying as she will grab on to everything on your way down, slowing down the whole deccent.

Aloy is a Hero and Rost was a character. The pandering is sickening, you are constantly told how much of a hero you are. They are also mentioning Rost qutie a few times, because he was liked by fans i guess.
Also all of your friends are also here and forced into missions, just so that you remember that they exist.

В общем и целом, игра просто шикарная!!! Но она не для всех, ибо нужно попадать в участки брони, подбирать нужное оружие для каждой машины, заботиться о расходниках. Но обо всем по порядку.

[h1] Сюжет [/h1]
Он тут есть, но к концу игру я так и не понял весь его смысл, кто с кем воюет и зачем. Персонажи не раскрыты. Нет ни одного стоящего второстепенного персонажа в команде или где-либо еше, где раскрыта хотя бы одна линейка сюжета. Диалоги скучные и однообразные. Сюжет в этой игре для галочки, ИМХО.

[h1] Боевка, оружие [/h1]
Типов оружия тут много и это, и хорошо, и плохо, поскольку нужно сканировать постоянно врагов и доставать определенное оружие и подстраиваться под конкретную машину. Для тех людей, кто хочет играть в Новую Игру+ на УльраХарде(это самая сложная ачивка), понадобится не один десяток часов для гринда ресурсов для прокачку оружия.

Сама боевка динамичная. Когда постоянно кувыркаешься, складывается такое ощущуение, что даже на Нормал-сложности, враги как-то предугадывают куда ты прыгнешь. Машины постоянно прыгают, летают, кувыркаются, т.е во время боя происходит дикий пздц, куча кислоты, молний, пыли и т.д. Здесь хочу сказать, что уже здесь игра навязывает нам на хардкорный режим, где нужно просчитать малейшую деталь.

[h1] Оптимизация [/h1]

Я проходил на i7 7700 + Asus 4060 8 Gb + SSD (3gb на чтение\запись) PCI x3 и даже в таком сетапе игра лагает. ФПС проседает, даже если окручиваешь настройки при запуске лаунчера и самой игре. Вроде видишь худшую картинку, но ФПС не поднимается. Я понимаю, что процу и материнке уже почти 10 лет, но 7700 и 8 ГБ должны играться на средних настройках на стабильном ФПС

[h1] Открытый мир и активности [/h1]

Кроме основного сюжета в этой игре есть второстепенные квесты, активности и много чего, чем можно заняться кроме прохождения основный линейки сюжета.

[h3] Гонки [/h3] Есть гонки на машинах с элементами стрельбы. Где нужно дойти до финиша первым, подбирая стрелы и стреляя в противников. На первый взгляд может показаться веселым, что и есть)

[h3] Котлы [/h3] - это некоторые загадки в стиле в Лары Крофт (наверное отсюда разрабы черпали вдохновение), где нужно решить некую условную головоломку, как добраться до цели. Вот есть ли вы фанат Лары Крофт и с 2015 года вам не хватает Лары Крофт в крови, то эти Котлы прям для вас, где вас ждут множество карабканий по скалам, уступам и т.д [/b] Ни и в конце убить босса-машину.

[h3] Руины и реликвии [/h3]

Тоже режим Лары Крофт, где нужно решить головоломку, найти финальный артефакт. Тут могу сказать, что разарабы действительно постарались, и головоломки тут действительно сложные и нужно раскинуть мозгами. Сделано очень круто.

[h3] Арена [/h3]

Что-то вроде гладиаторских боев, где вам нужно уложиться в таймер и определенный сеттап оружия и убить машины. И по итогу сможете купить особенное оружие

<h2> Заключение </h2>

Игра невероятна круто проработана, чтобы вы провели в ней 100ч+, что мне очень нравится, поскольку фанат игр в открытом мире, типа Вальгалы, с кучей активностями: не просто прошел игра за 50 часов и забросил, а наряду с сюжетом, еще и окунулся в весь этот сеттинг, особенности боевки, котлы, арены, игра+. Я могу себе позволить термин "недосоулс-лайк". Вроде сложный, но и игра не для казуалов, где нужно думать: какое оружие применить, постоянно держать в голове разную информацию и многое другое.

<h3> Вердикт <h3>

Абсолютный MUST-HAVE для всех любителей [strike] экст [/strike] игр в открытом мире. Вот именно так должна выглядеть игра от Ubisoft Assassain's Creed.

I definitely recommend this game if you enjoyed the first. It is more of the same with extra depth and more expanded combat.

I played Horizon Zero Dawn in 2023 and it was one of my favourite open world experiences, and the second instalment can be called an improvement in almost every way. The contrast between beautiful scenery and machines is still going strong and it is a uniqueness I have learnt to appreciate. For the negatives, the story is the big one for me. It is nowhere near as good as the first. It did not click with me at all. I found it overall boring and disappointing. It was a tiresome experience that led you through exciting and unique environments with escalating and interesting enemies and fights, but the overall trail you follow is not that engaging. Without getting into spoilers, I think the ending is a great example of this. Conceptually it is great, but it has no real payoff. The story in Zero Dawn was essentially a mystery which you unravel, while the story in Forbidden West is a race against time that so often fails to work in open world experiences. The more expanded sci fi elements also felt visual rather than impactful.

I enjoyed the world, the combat and most quests were interesting and engaging. The game shines the best in its combat and visuals. The combat has depth and the choices in weapons and combat scenarios are expanded upon further. There are a large amount of elemental effects, strengths and weaknesses to take into account for effective high difficulty gameplay. There are even more weapon types and varieties, which added just enough variety in simple ways to be interesting and add flavour to combat. Although I said I dislike the story, I do still like the world and the characters. Most quests outside the main story I found enjoyable experiences.

The things I dislike are tied to moments that felt bloated and tiresome, but that tends to be the case when doing 100 percent completion for most things. My 100 percent completion save file took me around 80 hours and that grated on my enjoyment. More specifically, the bloat I am referring to is the large amount of side quests, rebel camps and strongholds. The rebel camps and strongholds were particularly annoying as they added little to the game. They were essentially combat areas with lore to pick up afterwards, and they were extremely uncreative. Additionally, for difficulty, it was frustrating at times and I do think both games still suffer from not explaining the pick your battles mentality on higher difficulties well enough.
Burning Shores DLC

The DLC does something I consider an improvement by design. Open world experiences have trended towards being more and more bloated with strange and pointless quests and objectives. The DLC dodges this by its nature and I found it to be pretty great in every way. Its story ties into the main one and as such suffers from some of the writing that did not click with me, and I found that part rather tiresome. The smaller scope and tighter design made for a more satisfying and contained experience, and it was more memorable as a result. It is more of the same great combat and quests with some interesting extra enemies and designs as a result of the story.

I can't recommend this game.
Zero Dawn was a fantastic game, excellent gameplay with well thought out internal systems and a great story.
This expansion is just more of what you want but with needless extra complexity thrown in and some severe performance problems. I have a rig that plays it on high settings but the amount of stuttering, janky interactions and flat crashes to desktop has made this game literally unplayable some days. The final stages of the game were particularly egregious. The last cauldron was an absolute nightmare of stuttering game play and crashes and the final boss was so appallingly bad I almost didn't bother to complete the fight.
The in game systems seem to add a huge amount more selection for weapons and armour and the vast majority of it is completely useless. Most of the game you'll pick a good item that you've put upgrades on and you'll stick with it.

H:FW is a really good game with some drawbacks. The story is great and, in my opinion, the UI is superior to ZD. However, I feel that the game has some optimization and performance issues. Especially with certain motherboards and CPU's, the games quality can go down the gutter. I really love this franchise and this game, but unfortunately your really need a high quality system for this. Another positive note is that the world is very vast and open, with great attention to detail and plenty of extra things to do that provide ample rewards. Most quests are rather unique and, other than some cauldron sections, aren't repetitive and keep the game process flowing and entertaining. In summary, Horizon Forbidden West is an amazing game, when looking at it from a gameplay focused perspective. Major drawbacks are the demanding graphics quality and mid optimization. Would recommend (when on a great PC), 10/10.

The narrative kept me engaged throughout. Watching the team hunt down pieces of GAIA and assemble them one by one gave the game a satisfying structure. The return of Sylens and other familiar faces from Zero Dawn was a highlight — sticking with them until the end, seeing how they used the Focus, felt rewarding. The introduction of Far Zenith as new antagonists was a strong move; their technology and motivations added a fresh layer of threat. The dynamic between Beta and Aloy was handled well too — their communication and evolving relationship was one of the emotional cores of the game.

[b]Visuals & Music[/b]
Probably the most beautiful game I've ever played. The world is massive and incredibly diverse — every new region felt distinct. The soundtrack is exceptional; several tracks went straight into my playlist.

[b]Gameplay[/b]
The upgraded combat system and skill trees are a real improvement. Having to think about skill allocation and specialize kept me motivated. The variety of outfits — each with a different purpose and customizable — added a nice tactical layer. And flying? That was something else. It gave me strong Avatar vibes, like soaring over Pandora. Pure joy.

[b]One criticism[/b]
I have to call out the Seyka romance option. Throughout the series, Aloy has been established as fiercely independent and uninterested in romance. Introducing a choice to kiss Seyka felt like an unnecessary shift in her character direction. It didn't sit right with me.

First off, I love this game. It took the better part of my spare time for a couple of weeks, and I think its wel deserved. The story was slow at first but it got up to speed and pulled me in completely. There is certainly room for improvement for the 3rd game, but Horizon Forbidden West is a true masterpiece on its own.

Now I want to say that I finished Horizon Zero Dawn a few days prior. The new mechanics compaired to HZD felt a bit overwelming, and some aspects really bugged me at the start. Now that I completed a full playthrough, I can confidantly say that my irritations in the beginning were (mostly) misplaced. The interactions between characters is something I do wish to see more. For example I feel like there was not enough dialogue on the death of a beloved character ...... [spoiler] Varl, [/spoiler] you will be missed

After hitting 100% completion in the first Horizon on PS4, I was very pleased to continue my journey as Aloy on PC.
This instalment packs just as much fun as the first, with much more exploration and opportunity. After 80hrs of playtime, I feel like I still have at least another 80hrs before I get bored.

Horizon Forbidden West is a little strange to me. For one thing the combat feels both more fleshed out and more damage spongy than the original. If you just wanted to know whether this game is good then. Yes, It is a really good game. Now for some insights from someone who has all Achievements in both games.

If you want a good story, I like the first game more for that.
Forbidden West has much better combat and is overall more interesting to actually play.
Zero Dawn has a better climbing system and is less janky. During my playthroughs I have noticed how janky the movement can be when you are either zipping towards something or trying to get onto a new ledge. It's not horrible but I didnt get that same feeling in Zero Dawn.

Also the performance wasnt the greatest thing I have had. I have a pretty good computer and I was able to run this game fine for the first hour or two that it was opened. Then it would take longer for areas to load and Sometimes it would take 5 minutes to reload shaders. Dont get this game if you can run the tutorial. It's better to refund the game.

The DLC is pretty decent and I actually liked playing through the collectibles they had. It was nice all things considered.

8/10 Would play again in the far future and will most likely get all the achievements in the next game.

A yes but not without issues. Huge beautiful open world with lots and lots of systems. Weak story quite a bit worse than the first game where it was earnest and not too annoying in this Aloy is not very likeable and the other characters are mostly annoying bar a few reasonable side quests. The problem is raising the threat means it lacks relatablity which wasn't a problem in the first game. Bosses are on the whole pretty good generally, and no matter how high a level you are you health can get melted very quickly which keeps the threat high even as you are increasingly able to one shot enemies.

Is a bit overwhelming at times with all the various systems you have to learn for traversal, combat and both which makes it very hard to leave and return because of the systems you have to remember compared with the first game which already had quite a lot.

Performance is a bit of a mixed bag as well, worked really well on my 12400F/12700K system with 4070Super where everything was locked at max and very smooth at 1080. I did have controller drop out which was very frustrating especially during bosses, also had texture errors relating the Nvidia Frame Generation and sound clipping issues which is annoying considoring how well it runs. A few crashes during the 62 hour playthrough. DLC I think is best bit of the whole game with an epic final boss.

While I have not played the first, I can certainly recommend this. I usually and unintentionally skip by side quests in games because I always feel as if the story rushes me forward, however (despite the plot being the world is ending soon or smth) I always felt compelled to do the sidequests for some reason, even if I cannot tell you why. I've hear people say that the story in the first game was better, and while I do not fully know the story of the first, the story here was not bad, though the ending does feel ever so slightly rushed. The graphics are as they look, beautiful; I've honestly spent a lot of time in this game just wandering about and seeing sights, and when my backlog is not massive and full of celeste and silksong, I'll probably come back to see it again and play dlc.

This is a big step up from Zero Dawn. The world feels so much bigger and more alive than the first game. I like all the different environments, like the jungles, deserts, snowy areas, and underwater ruins. The new traversal options like flying on Sunwings and diving just make exploration way better.
The continuation of the story was pretty good. It picks up right after the first game and does a solid job answering a lot of the questions while adding new mysteries and threats that kept me hooked the whole way through. The pacing gets better once the main threats ramp up, and some of the reveals actually hit pretty well.
The gameplay has way more depth now. There are a lot of skill trees with tons of abilities to unlock, and the weapon variety is so much better with all the different ammo types, traps and elemental combos. The progression feels more rewarding, and the whole loop of hunting, overriding and upgrading has more variety overall compared to Zero Dawn.
Overall, the added depth in gameplay, all the skill trees, and the much better variety made this an enjoyable sequel.

Let's start with the positive points. Like in zero dawn, combats are both amazing and engaging, it is probably the best combat system I have seen in an RPG so far. The world itself is gorgeous and a real pleasure to explore.

My real issue is with the writing and the story telling. Most dialogue are very awkward, the characters you encounter are not really developed, but mostly Aloy is not an interesting protagonist to follow. She was already rather empty in zero dawn, but in forbidden west she is just insufferable. She has no other characterization except for really wanting to save the world, and, for some unknown reason, is absolutely set on doing it alone. The game seems to confuse completely idiotic actions with style and heroism. I wouldn't be that much annoyed by playing an unpleasant character if she was called out for that from time to time, but no, every single person you meet praises Aloy for being the absolute best or is either stupid or evil.

Finally, Aloy comments every action you do in-game: you are fighting ? Aloy will comment on where to hit the enemies. You are doing a puzzle ? Why think Aloy will comment and give you the solution. It is deeply, deeply annoying.

I spent 80h on zero dawn, but just couldn't with forbidden west.

제로 던 때도 그랬던 것 같은데 벽을 마주하고 달리면 여전히 화면이 부들부들 떨리면서 멀미 유발하는 게 그대로. 동굴같이 어두운 곳에서는 이 증상이 더 심합니다.. (두통와서 게임 못 할 정도)
스케일은 이전보다 더 커진 것 같습니다. 체감 상으로는 한 세 배정도? 좀 더 오픈월드 같아졌는데 유비소프트 향이 좀 난달까요. 한 20시간했는데 1/3 밖에 못 온 듯 싶고..지금 별다른 사전 정보없이 플레이하고 있는데 진행에는 무리가 없습니다. 플탐은 사이드퀘 하면서 진행한다고 했을 때 60시간 정도로 예상되는데 음, 엔딩을 봐야 알 것 같지만 추천합니다.

근데 이 놈의 멀미 때문에 엔딩까지 볼 수 있을지는 모르겠어요.

시스템도 여러모로 편하게 바뀌었고, 특히 네비 시스템이나 유도선 부분은 전작보다 훨씬 편했음.

무기 종류가 많아진 것은 좋으나 중복되는 요소들이 많아 굳이.. 라는 생각이 듬.
pc요소는 크게 거슬리는 편은 아님. 에일로이가 세계관 최강 미녀인것은 맞음.

보스전 전투는 너무 질질 끌어서 답답함. 연출과 스토리도 전작에 못미치지만,
기술적 발전과 특유의 세계관이 매력적임. 메트릭스 팬이라면 가마솥에 환장할 듯.

This game is a great continuation of Zero Dawn. The story is well told, and I love the Aloy's story. The game play, at times, felt clunky and unresponsive. The sheer number of combat animations locks that prevented the combat from feeling smooth was noticeable. There were definitely moments that the attack I dodged curved to strike me.

The visuals and the environment are where this game truly shines. The world absorbs you into it, and it feels like a real place and not just a digital copy. I would recommend this game for sure, but buy it on sale because the combat and grind are definitely not for everyone.

The first Horizon game was more to my liking. Part of the reason I liked it so much is that it was different to other video game mechanics. I'm not naturally good at these types of games and when the mechanics get too confusing, I am unable to play or enjoy the game. The fact that EVERYTHING is a puzzle is exhausting as well. Even on easy mode this game can be highly frustrating due to the puzzle factors. Ultimately, if you liked the first one for tis simplicity, you may want to hold off on purchasing the sequel.

En court: super jeu de A à Z.

L'histoire est vraiment prenante, les décors sont super beau, les déplacements sont rapides, les combat sont satisfaisants et les cinématiques sont super bien faites (surtout si je compare à Avatar 0_o).

Aucun regret à avoir acheté, joué et complété le jeu. Je me suis pas mal amusez à écouter toutes les répliques et les dialogues optionnels et ça rajoute un bon plus à l'histoire.

Le gameplay est varié avec plein de missions de type différent qui rend le jeu très complet.

Les petits hics:

- Le terrain n'est pas ultra optimisé pour le déplacement en monture ce qui fait qu'on est bloqué pour pas grand chose parfois, mais ça va.
- Certains changements de luminosité sont abruptes: j'étais dans une cave et au plafond y'avait une ouverture avec de la lumière --> si je tourne la caméra a à un certain angle, toutes les couleurs et la luminosité changent d'un coup et on peut faire des allez-retour entre les deux trucs différents. (arrive à peu d'endroits)
- Le vol en sunwing est franchement pas satisfaisant. On dirait on vol sur un truc en carton et tous les mouvements sont robotiques et pas fluides. Si on compare avec la monture qu'on a dans Avatar, celle d'Horizon est vraiment mauvaise.
- Les chemins d'escalades sont parfois pas optimisés ce qui fait que le personnage ne détecte pas les prochaines prises.

Et juste une frustration: j'ai one-shot un boss de la dernière quête avec une seule compétence, et franchement c'est nul mdr. Je m'attendais à un gros fight, mais la j'ai vu sa barre déscendre d'un coup, j'ai pas capté.

Bref, très très bon jeu avec quelques petits détails négatifs qui dérangent pas vraiment.

On va se mettre au DLC du coup !

Played the first part in ps4 back in 2020. Loved the story and setting of the world. Now playing the second part which has a massive open world and lots of side contents. Take Horizon Zero Dawn and bring it up about a half dozen notches and you have Forbidden West. Amazing story with rich combat and I cannot recommend this game enough if you are looking for a singleplayer game to sink the next couple months into. At the time of commenting I haven't even completed a decent bit of the story if that says anything about how much time you can sink into this game.

This game is exactly what it says on the tin. It's a fun science fantasy adventure through the most beautiful game world I've ever played in.

The game has fanastic voice work, fun and engaging combat that can be approached in a variety of ways, and a story and world that keeps you involved.

It's not going to compare to Asimov's writing, but it's still a story that kept me intrigued and asking questions.

The best bit of the story is, by far, the Burning Shores DLC. Because it focuses on fewer characters in a smaller setting, it has more time to dedicate to them, and ends up being more interesting than any of the characters in the main story.

I highly recommend this if you enjoyed the first game. It's more of the same general idea, but refined and evolved. It's not going to be as groundbreaking as the original, but that's a pretty impossible task.

Overall, I enjoyed the game. The story is good, the characters are interesting, the writing is great, the art is wonderful. The animations are fantastic. I like that there's lots to do, including new quests, after you finish the main story.

On the con side, there's too much/too many. Too many types of collectibles, too many same-y quests, too many weapon types, too many upgrades, too many machines, too many puzzles (there are times when I just want to run around and have fun, and not have to solve a puzzle every 5 minutes!), too much parkour, too many systems.

Also, while the story was good, there was no urgency. I don't want to give anything away, but when the entire world and everyone in existence is in danger, Aloy isn't going to be running around dealing with trivial problems. And the game suffers from the "nobody else but the main character can do anything" syndrome. Apparently there are powerful tribes of warriors that can do nothing but stand around and ask Aloy for help. How have any of them survived if only Aloy is capable of killing powerful machines? It gets silly after a while.

In summary, I recommend the game. It's a good game that could have been a great game if it wasn't weighed down with stuff that feels like it was thrown in just for the heck of it. Despite that, there are moments of brilliance, especially with the writing, and that will keep you playing.

great game, i didnt like some of the changes that they made compared to Zero dawn, but they did impressively on continuing the Story and finding a reasonably interesting new Threat, while still keeping ome of the cool and old characters around.
I personally didnt like the Amount of "run there - Use focus - Be surprised about an enemy - kill enemy - repeat" The original had 26 nicely crafted stories compared to this its a lot more messy and more of the same. Quality of the main story is better while side stories seem a little worse.

Played this game right after finishing the 1st one and I was very disappointed at the start as it's different game in a lot of ways, BUT more I played more I started to liked it, after finishing the main line I can say for sure I like the 2nd game way more than the 1st one for sure not without problems but still very nice game. Visuals in this game are amazing I recommend playing in 4k!

Reasonable Feedback:
- Why we need any storage limits, it's ruining the game!
- I have beaten the game's main quest line with almost no coils and with green/blue equipment which means for people who have limited time and just want to play main quest this game is brutal in terms of gear progression. Game forces you to play side quests to get better gear otherwise you will suffer pretty significantly.
- Skill trees are meh... those have pretty small impact on the gameplay and half of those useless, feels like made just to fill out the space on the tree-map
- Why game doesn't have gear drop mechanics? In a lot of cases you just want to try new weapons but you don't have enough money to get it.
- Sometimes emptions of the characters feels completely out of place.

Es increíble, aunque también bastante exigente en hardware. Aun así, la historia principal se puede disfrutar muy bien, con buena calidad gráfica y a 60 FPS estables.

El problema llega con el DLC (Burning Shores) : el rendimiento cae demasiado. Aunque normalmente tengo más de 70 FPS, en esta expansión baja incluso a 40 o 30 FPS, causando tirones que afectan bastante la experiencia. Es una pena, porque el juego es precioso y claramente una joya.

Tal vez cuando actualice mi equipo pueda darle la calificación que realmente merece. Lo recomiendo sin duda, pero al haberlo comprado a precio completo —sobre todo porque lo esperaba mucho desde que jugué HZD— esperaba que el DLC tuviera una optimización mucho mejor.

Forbidden West é uma sequência sensacional e maravilhosa que o Zero Dawn precisava, ele é maior, melhor, uma evolução gigante do que nos foi apresentado. Vemos uma Aloy já ciente de quem ela é, do que ela precisa fazer, então a jornada tem um ótimo rumo, alinhado a continuação dessa história rica e intrigante. Novamente ela funciona muito bem, em todas as interações, revelações, consequências, e só tem a evoluir (O modelo da personagem teve um salto gigante em qualidade). As missões secundárias estão em boas quantidades, e muitas delas mesmo que rápidas, tem uma história interessante, ainda mais quando envolve os vários tipos de tribos, que estão muito mais ricos e detalhados, com crenças, moradias, armaduras, o que agrega em muito ao mundo aberto. E por falar nele, é EXTREMAMENTE LINDO, todo o gráfico, direção de arte, composição, cor, é um patamar que poucos nos últimos anos alcançaram, todo lugar é de tirar o fôlego, de se admirar, de contemplar. As máquinas estão muito bem inseridas nesse mundo, e mais uma vez são um ponto altíssimo, tendo MUITO mais variedades, muito mais ataques, sempre sendo um desafio, além do design único e detalhado. A jogabilidade mantém o que funcionou e eleva ainda mais a sua capacidade, melhorando todos os aspectos, sendo armas, árvore de habilidades e principalmente os novos equipamentos de locomoção, que torna as lutas muito mais dinâmicas. Dois pontos essenciais pra se falar aqui é a adição da mecânica aquática, que é INCRÍVEL, e agrega DEMAIS, sendo divertida e mais uma vez, extremamente linda, tornando algumas missões e objetivos diferentes do habitual. O segundo ponto é a montaria voadora, que muda COMPLETAMENTE o jogo, poder voar por todo o mapa, admirar todo o mundo de cima, usar em combate, exploração, é simplesmente incrível. Horizon: Forbidden West became an 80-hour game of chores and grinding, and I am left feeling absolutely drained. If I had not been determined to push through to the end, it could easily have stretched to twice that length.

I want to like the Horizon series. I really do. But in my view, there are so many issues getting in the way of it becoming a truly compelling universe to immerse yourself in. With this entry, it feels as if no one at Guerrilla stopped to critically assess the scope. There is a difference between ambition and simply adding more.

Everything in Forbidden West is more. More weapons. More skills. More outfits. More machines. More elements. More characters. More loot. More map. More quests. There is so much more that nothing leaves a lasting impression. For the first time, I understand the sentiment behind the term open world fatigue. The issue is not the open world itself, but how stuffy and unengaging the surrounding game design feels.

The combat, at the risk of repeating myself, is also more. Machines are far more aggressive, constantly zipping around and magnetically sticking to you. It feels clumsier and more awkward than its predecessor. Despite the expanded arsenal, most of the tools feel redundant. There are clearly optimal ways to play. Trigger chain reaction weak spots, then cycle through others while trying not to get stuck in the increasingly complex world geometry. Other approaches such as traps, stealth, mounts, or varied weapon experimentation feel either less viable or simply less interesting.

The open world is bigger and filled with icons waiting to be checked off. But it rarely surprises. It feels predictable. Traversal suffers from the same problem.
Even though it is visually striking to look at, it lack tangeble qualities. So much of it is just static, and feels like set dressing tailored for you, the player. It doesn't feel like a place that continues to exist without you. It's hard to put a finger on.

Quest design follows a familiar and tired loop. Talk to an NPC. Get a map marker. Go to the location and use detective vision. Fight enemies. Discover a person or object. Report back for a reward. It needed either stronger narrative payoff or more emergent systems to stay engaging, but it lacks both. Puzzles and side activities are similarly constrained. The design feels restrictive, as if the developers were afraid players might do something out of order. The result is an experience that feels heavily focus tested and overly guided, leaving little room for creativity or experimentation.

Forbidden West is not without merits though. The visuals and performance achieved with the Decima engine are outstanding. Lighting, textures, weather effects, and surfaces like sand and snow are world class. Character models, motion capture, and overall presentation are often excellent. The scale, from intimate details to sweeping vistas, is undeniably impressive.

Some character interactions and story elements are strong, and they are what mostly kept me going despite my burnout with the design. It is impressive how context aware some of the dialogue is, referencing past events if relevant, and npcs that follow you in quests who are referencing imidate surroundings and sometimes your actions (though Aloys talkning is excessive and annoying for the most part).
I even liked parts of the plot, even if it occasionally felt derailed. The main story benefits from visual storytelling and cinematic set pieces. While the thematic elements are not always harmonious and the increasing reliance on technical explanations stretches groundedness, the presentation often carries it through.

However, much of the storytelling and dialogue feels mind-numbingly dull. It is often a coin flip whether a side quest conversation will be intriguing or sleep inducing. Zero Dawn struggled with long-winded exposition delivered through holograms. That issue is not resolved here. It is simply delivered face to face, often with repetition that assumes you might have checked your phone halfway through.

I did enjoy parts of the main cast and the hub area, though it never reached the emotional depth of the games it clearly draws inspiration from, such as Mass Effect 2. The hub feels static. Characters are fixed in place. Nothing surprising or memorable unfolds dynamically. Cross interactions are mostly told through exposition rather than shown through meaningful moments.

Aloy herself may also be part of the problem. She remains largely unchanged throughout. She is perpetually bothered, reluctant to connect, and resistant to being seen as a hero. At the same time, the game frames her as morally absolute and consistently correct. These traits are rarely challenged in meaningful ways, which makes her arc feel shallow and static.

This may sound overly critical, especially when compared to Zero Dawn. But I genuinely believe Zero Dawn was the more focused and cohesive experience. Forbidden West’s most compelling qualities are its scale and its unique setting. Unfortunately, scale alone is not enough to sustain engagement.

I played Horizon Zero Dawn on my PC , and it was one of those games that made my PS4 worth it of purchase . Forbiden West is worthy succesor .
I read through negative reviews before doing mine , and i can say plenty of those people are one who would give negative reviews to games like Witcher 3 or Skyrim . Most of it is total nonsense based on their personal point of view .
I have RTX 4070 , i7 13700F and 32GB ram - and game works smoothly for me ... Extremly smoothly ...

If you loved Horizon Zero Dawn, this is the sequel that truly expands everything you thought was already great.

Horizon Forbidden West takes everything that made the first game special and elevates it. The world is absolutely breathtaking vibrant landscapes, detailed settlements, underwater exploration, massive machines roaming freely it all feels alive. Guerrilla truly pushed the boundaries here. Every region feels handcrafted, and simply traveling from one objective to another can turn into an unforgettable experience.

The gameplay was so amazing. Combat feels smoother, deeper, and more strategic. The new weapons, skills, and traversal mechanics add real variety. Fighting machines is as thrilling as ever, but now it feels even more dynamic and rewarding. Exploration is more fluid, side quests are meaningful, and the world invites you to get lost in it.

This game was fabulous. The world, the gameplay everything just clicked for me.

I know for some the story didn’t capture them as it did for me, but for me the story was better this time. We get to know so much more about Aloy her origin, the world, and all the unknown mysteries surrounding the old ones and what’s coming next. It felt more personal and more ambitious. Watching Aloy grow and carry the weight of everything on her shoulders was powerful.

And honestly, even if this game might not be for everyone, if you’ve played Horizon Zero Dawn, you should at least try this one. Just for Aloy.....it’s worth it.

Packende Story mit überraschenden Wendungen und wunderschön gestaltete Landschaften, wie schon beim Vorgänger, ein Spiel, das fesselt. Auch wenn mir das Waffen-/Kampfsystem mit seinen vielen Möglichkeiten schon überfrachtet vorkommt und die tolle Landschaft auch ein Hindernis sein kann, wenn man im Dickicht steht und außer Blättern nichts sieht und auch sonst noch ein paar nicht so ausgereifte Neuigkeiten dazugekommen sind, bleibt es ein Wahnsinnsspiel.
Neu ist das Fliegen, was für mich allerdings mehr Frust als Lust gebracht hat, da die Steuerung nicht wirklich gut gelöst ist (spiele auf PC, Tastatur + Maus), zum Questpunkt reiten geht automatisch, was aber meistens dazu führt, dass das "Reittier" spätestens bei der nächsten Brücke, wenn nicht schon zuvor an einem Felsen, hängenbleibt. Auch das Klettern gestaltet sich manchmal zickig und hin und wieder bin ich ohne Youtubevideo in einer Quest nicht weitergekommen, weil manchmal einfach die Hinweise schwer erkennbar sind, trotzdem liebe ich das Spiel, ist ein mehr als würdiger Nachfolger von Horizon Zero Dawn.

I wanted to love this, but it never clicked. It is a somewhat enjoyable game, but there are certain elements that are actively frustrating which lead me to only play it when I am in the right mood. Those same problems lead me to drop it for multiple months after about 20 hours. It has taken me over a year to do all the achievements due to how annoying I find them.

The visuals are exceptional and easily the strongest part. This may be the best looking game I have ever played. Environmental systems, lighting, facial detail, and animation with mocap are all excellent. It is worth playing for the visuals alone.

The story just exists. That was honestly the biggest let down for me.

HZD had a really interesting POV and presentation technique that really made the player feel like Aloy, and what happened to Aloy often affected the player in some meaningful way. Horizon Forbidden West does not share that presentation technique.

An absolute ton of the story is told via holograms and NPC dialogs simply stating exposition. When Aloy does interact with characters, it is a quality mocap scene that drastically shifts perspective and looks like stage actors talking to each other (with occasional technical 3d glitches, I see you wild hair and shaders). I think my biggest problem might actually be the constant hard camera cuts. I do not know why, but the camera refuses to stay in place for more than 3 seconds. I think it was meant to give a cinematic feel, but it comes off as poor direction to me. This is even more noticeable when it cuts to a conversation after an action cutscene.

The story itself is decent, I just did not like the presentation.

[h2]The dialog and performances[/h2]
The mocap cutscenes with model mapping and real time rendering of shaders and physics buried a lot of solid performances. The movement was often fluid, clean, and life like... but juxtaposed with all the normal 3D video game stuff. When it worked well, it was fantastic. It just did not always work for me, which could be a port problem or a hardware problem.

The line delivery from Aloy's VA (Ashly Burch) carried the majority of scenes. Most of the other VA were fine with none being bad, but they often did not sell the illusion. I think that can mostly be blamed on the writing however. The dialog writing is really hit or miss with a lot of it being miss. It sounds unnatural and forced a significant amount of the time.

[h2]The characters[/h2]
Characters were present in the story. Most then had massive side quests you could do that actually showed those characters having personalities and being interesting. I found it incredibly difficult to care about any of them due to how they were used in the story. Outside of the main plot quite a few were interesting, but then when they do get to take part in the plot they are like boring pawns being used by the author to move the plot along. I think this was a major factor in making the world feel dead to me, there was not growth or behavior consistency which was then expounded with the iffy dialog writing.

[h1]The Open World[/h1]
The world is massive, but similar. You find yourself doing the same thing over and over. There was very little exploration into the unknown. I am not sure, but it is sort of like they designed it so that you more or less fully explore the map if you do quests as they appear. This kind of ruined the untamed surprise of adventure that open world games are supposed to be known for. An NPC will exposition backstory, local lore, local issues, and where they want you to go. Then you go there and do what they said. Then you go back to town because half the collectables are story-ability-locked. That means even if you explore and find them, you need to back track after progressing the main story which kind of ruined the joy of discovery for me.

[h2]Collectables[/h2]
Half are fine. The other half are the most miserable backtracking ability locked single solution puzzles I have ever encountered in a game. There are so many different ability blocked puzzles that I actually would feel upset when I found one. The rewards are also often talking head exposition and lore dumps. I think they do offer items, but (as I will cover in the next section) not items worth using.

[h1]Combat[/h1]
They made a lot of improvements to the decent combat that was present in HZD. Unfortunately, items took a major hit. Items have a huge complex item stat and modifier system, but it essentially boils down to chasing strong uniques that fit your playstyle or build. Items that do not fit your playstyle are totally useless (or if you have an item with better synergy for that item type already). The melee combat was the biggest thing to be changed mechanics wise, but outside of very specific activities there is next to no reason to use it. It does have a very high skill ceiling and it can be kind of fun to mess with. The downfall of the melee system is the lack of block or parry meaning the only option is dodge which has issues in a lot of fights. The movement can be very janky while fighting.

[h1]Replay-ability[/h1]
Achievement chasing, and ... idk getting super invested into lore I guess. The NG+ and ultra hard sound semi interesting, but I did not find the combat interesting enough to grind, scheme, and [strike]exploit[/strike] strategize through 3x health fights.

전작 제로 던을 클리어하고 여운이 채 가시기도 전에 기세를 몰아 바로 후속편에 도전했습니다.

전작과 비교했을 때 훨씬 더 복잡하고 어려워졌습니다.
세계가 더 넓어진 건 기본에, 갖가지 스킬들, 기술들, 무기와 함정..
새로운 조작에 적응하는데만, 이후 격투장에서 분투한 것 까지 합치면 몇시간을 들여야 했습니다.
전투가 굉장히 어려워져서 이건 뭐 어떻게 하라는건지 싶더군요. 처음에는요.
솔직히 때때로 좀 질리고 지치기도 했습니다.
무슨 해야 할 게 이리도 많은지.. 유비 스타일의 단점이라고 할 수도 있겠네요.

세계와 캐릭터의 설정, 스토리 진행 방식은 여전히 좋습니다.
전작에 등장했던 캐릭터 다수가 다시 등장해서 반갑기도 하고 씁쓸하기도 하더군요.
에일로이의 캐릭터도 저는 좋았습니다. 보다보면 정이 들더군요.
서브 퀘스트의 풍성함도, 수집물 획득 퍼즐의 정교함도 좋았습니다만...
어쌔신 크리드 발할라 이상으로 뱅뱅 돌게 만드는 퍼즐의 악독함이 사람을 지치게 만들더군요.
개인적으로는 되게 힘들었습니다. 다음에는 적당히 해줬으면 좋겠네요.

후속작에서 어떠한 얘기를 다루게 될 것인지에 대한 힌트가 굉장히 많이 나왔습니다.
뭔가 호라이즌 시리즈가 트릴로지로 마무리될 것 같은 분위기를 물씬 풍기네요.
매우 기대됩니다만..
이제 정식 후속작 얘기가 나올 때가 되지 않았을까요..??
찾아보니까 콘솔 버전 최초 발매일 기준,
제로 던이 2017년 2월, 포비든 웨스트가 2022년 2월에 출시가 되었더군요.
내년 이맘때쯤이면 각각 출시 10주년, 5주년을 맡게 되는 이 시점에,
정식 차기작에 대한 얘기가 아직도 나오지 않는 게 많이 아쉽습니다.
콜라보, 스핀 오프.. 뭐 좋습니다만.. 음..

아무튼 초심자에게는 어려운 게임이라는 생각이 들지만,
매우 흥미로운 게임이라고 생각하며 추천드립니다!

玩了30个小时最后还是放弃了，西之绝境的视听效果和演出毫无疑问是顶级的，但是游戏体验却从刚开始时的惊艳急转直下。5年前在ps4上通关了零之曙光，早就意料到续作也极大概率是一部好看不好玩的罐头游戏，但其体验之无聊与累仍超出了预期。
开放世界的探索部分是整部游戏最大的败笔，其失败不在于有多差，而在于矛盾。开发商给这部游戏塞了一张大的难以置信的地图，30个小时的游戏流程只开了地图大概五分之一的一个角落，其中兴趣点和支线任务的密度也很高，但是相比之下更密集的是野怪刷新的数量和密度，每走一百米的直线距离就差不多会遇到一到两个怪群，这些怪群在清完后视线移开的两分钟内重新刷新出来，这让整个探索过程的节奏堪称稀碎。除此之外攀爬系统虽然做的很细致，但是在野外探索过程中却显得毫无意义，一座山能否爬上去不取决于角度、地势，而只取决于开发商在哪里放了攀爬点，这让许多兴趣点的获取是纯线性的，而这些兴趣点往往只是在山洞里塞了几个宝箱，给点无足轻重的资源，有些在早期场景的兴趣点会被需要随着剧情推动拿到的道具解锁的障碍给锁住，这意味着有时候这个过程需要再重复一遍。在各种设施中找到的文字记录算是这一过程中少有的亮点，其实我认为这一部分比兴趣点里那几个箱子有意思多了，但是内容和数量实在太少了，也穿不起一个完整的故事线或者暗线剧情，在这方面下功夫的话探索的价值和驱动性会强不少。整个开放世界像真三国无双8里的一样，完全就是一个金玉其外但空荡重复的场景，用无尽刷新的野怪磨灭着玩家的探索欲望。
主线和支线设计也完全缺乏新意，基本遵循着两三套模式，对话，赶路，战斗，找路攀爬，战斗，捡东西，每次接任务过程都是一样望到头，除了前几个支线任务完全是负反馈，这一过程中攀爬和战斗的占比都是最大的，而这两套系统都做得不够让人投入，攀爬这种在探索中锦上添花的设计占比能这么大本身就是有问题的，更何况其在西之绝境中和单行道没有区别，尽管这套动作系统在同类型游戏中肯定属于上乘。战斗方面堆怪的问题在上文中也提到了，到我玩的这一部分已经能遇到不少二三十级的重型机器龙，一只就得打好久，这更加剧了堆怪的问题，让战斗带来的正反馈也逐渐趋近于零，这些都是任务本身的演出和剧情所无法弥补的。
剧情和人物设计上因为没有体验完我不想多做评价，很多一代的角色我都已经忘了，连打两作可能体验会好很多，但目前尚没有降智剧情和令人过于讨厌的npc。相比于零之曙光本作还是加了不少有意思的设定的，比如基地可变背景的半球顶和可以将照片和实际场景所匹配的兴趣点，但很多地方的设计都过于敷衍，比如偌大个基地里每一个工作台供我升级我的装备，目前为止大部分基地房间的唯一作用是进去出发一段我和盖亚的交互语音，功能性几乎没有；城镇里的篝火连跳过时间的功能都没有，只有野外庇护所里的篝火有这个功能，与此类似的很多设计逻辑上的问题很严重。
西之绝境在画面表现和规模上完全称得上是游戏工业的顶级作品，但除此之外几乎找不到玩下去的理由，用超规格3a的资源做了一款很难称得上好玩的罐头，我能完整通关零之曙光在于其从零构筑了一个机器龙与人类共存的后末日世界，在当时对新颖设定与世界观的探索能支撑各方面的欠缺与匮乏，吸引我花费时间探索这个后末日世界，但现在像我一样的玩家都是在这个世界中“生活”过几十小时了，新鲜劲过了各种问题也更容易暴露出来了，整体体验便难以到达合格的水准并吸引人持续投入精力玩下去。
