Played on the Valve Index. Controllers are vibrating non-stop. The rockets cannot be rotated in hand, making it feel very unnatural. Feedback of touching the ball is non existent. So is the overall immersion.

The physics in this game are broken. The ball goes in a random direction whenever the paddle hits it and sometimes the paddle goes straight through the ball. It's not possible to play this game properly as-is. Requested a refund.

At least on Valve Index, this game's busted. I don't know what kind of polling rate you need to track the fastest moving part of a controller and make sure collision detection never "drops the ball", but if Beat Saber's devs can discover wrist flicks adding more acceleration than they initially tested for and then correct with a patch, this dev can too.

Volume controls? - nah man, but how about a jump scare every time you enter the main menu
not overdoing it with the controller vibrations? - too easy, how about we just let them vibrate CONSTANTLY ... even in the menu
not breaking the flow of the game? - boring! lets play a short melody, open a pop up and brake down the points the player just made. every. single. time they score a point
and to top it all off: a keyboard on the game over screeen which has to be closed in order to proceed ... but the keyboard does not respond to any input

This is a must own for anyone with a VR set. I absolutely mean that. Essential. That being said, ditch the wrist straps that came with your kit and make your own with some parachute cord. Secure the knots with some superglue or a lighter too. This game will break controllers if you don't.
Ball physics are weird and inconsistent, will sometimes go through racket, game is far too easy once you learn how to do rimshots, menus are way to close to you so you have to back up to read them and then walk forward to interact with them, this is dollar store Racket NX for the same price. Worth $3 max for the multiplayer.
Honestly just a really fun racquetball game.
In a racquet based game, accuracy of the paddles is paramount. The accuracy here needs a ton of work, both on the Valve Index and Oculus Quest. An update sometime this century would be nice... don't waste your money.
Just got the Quest 2 and had to download my favorite "workout" game. This is synthwave racquetball and its FANTASTIC. The quest 2 + the recently updated "air link" means I can play this game in an empty bedroom two floors above where my PC is... wirelessly... which is wild. If you love anything '80s and synth you have to check this game out.

Nice Futuristic Racketball game.
Pretty basic, you have a couple of paddles in each hand, you spawn a ball, hit it, the enemy will hit it back, you try to avoid it getting past you, while trying to get it past him. A few different playmodes against AI, pvp or yourself.
Your enemy is a red square that moves around the huge back wall to rebound your shots, and while you dont have the same mobility of your AI opponent, and the "goal" is huge on your side too, Balls always bounce back to somewhere where you can hit them inside your gamespace, sometimes they arrive at the edge, the game asks for 2x1.5mt so consider that.
The game has looking neon graphics that my 1080 had no effort in handling at 120fps. Sound effects and music are spot on... well maybe not one "bubbly" sound effect that id expect to hear a bubble make to be a sound in a sfx electronic ambient, but overall great sound design.
The most important thing, the ball hitting and physics was great! i felt i had control of my hits, and i could get better and kinda aim them.
It also was a great workout, i beat the easy levels, and was defeated in the last level in medium, got to the 1st place of the weekly "zen" leaderboards (you just bounce the ball back against a wall and see how many you get, i got 216). And also tried the score attack. And by the end i was beat!
Recommended for anyone wanting a good Racketball workout while in a futurisitic "Tron" looking environment I got this in a bundle, the full price is a bit steep so consider getting it on sale.
I dislike how you must play through the easy levels where its 10 minutes of you swinging your racket so fast that the robot cannot react. The hard AI is extremely hard I cannot imagine what expert is like!
Fun little game, reminds me of beatsaber. for the price, it's not bad at all.

球拍的设定不知是根据哪款VR设备设定的，用Quest2玩总是感觉球拍距离与手柄的实际距离不太匹配（比Quest2手柄略长），经常性凭直觉击球时明明感觉能命中却打空了，让游玩流畅度和爽快感大打折扣，就没有与中等难度第五关AI对打超过五回合的情况，大部分胜的情况都是发球一击制胜，但凡跟AI对打消耗基本都是输。

玩Racket Fury:Table Tennis 乒乓球也有近20个小时经验了，对球的空间感知也有一定基础（跟高级AI对拉也差不多能拉个二三十回合），但玩这个就总是打不到球，不禁内心连连质问这是什么蠢货玩意儿？对打游戏变成了发球游戏。
希望开发者能够增加一下球拍设置调节选项，比如：球拍与手的距离，球拍倾斜角度等，从而对不同VR手柄有更好的支持。
本想给好评的，但由于打球游戏却打不着球的核心Bug，所以先留个差评。
game is really fun until you get to the harder difficulties and the ball starts going through your racket. it doesn't really matter at first but it is infuriating when you are on the last point of a hard difficulty and you clearly, visually see yourself hit the ball but it just ignores it. maybe worth $5, definitely not worth $15.

You actually have two paddles, one for each hand... and your computer opponent will fire off comments from time to time.
You do need a bit of space to play this, Be very mindful of your chaperone box. Playable in a 2m square , but a 3mx2m rectangle would be better with plenty of side clearance

Great retro-80s vibe, a nice workout too. You learn techniques to win, just by playing - it's very satisfying when the ai pisses you off and you learn how to get better at beating it. The taunting by the ai makes you that much more determined to win!

I love games like this but it is not challenging what so ever.
Sadly I had to get a refund.
This tries to be both a sim and an arcade, by inheriting the bad parts of both.
It's not fun to play like an arcade, but tedious like a sim. Sets are short, you either win or lose in just a few hits. There are log pauses between sets. The paddles need to be lined up perfectly.
It's not challenging like a sim, but simple like an arcade. The paddles are transparent (how the hell do you improve if you can't see what you're doing). There's no replay to figure out what to do better. The speed ramps up so fast that you have to rely on expertise (which you can not gain). There's no training mode (there's a Zen mode but that is completely different from the rest of the game).

I keep coming back to this one. No other VR game feels more like a sport than this one. The enemy AI is fun to hate and beat. It's well balanced, requires good reflexes but isn't impossible to master. I'm loving it!
This is one of those games I keep coming back to day after day, year after year. I had on the PS4 for PSVR, and I bought it again for this because I love it so much (the roomscale makes it like a completely new game!). After years of playing it, I do find myself maybe wishing there were some more ways to switch up gameplay, but considering what I've paid for it I more than got my money's worth. If you like active games like Beat Saber or any of the ping-pong VR games, I can't recommend this enough. I only ask the devs this: PLEASE INCORPORATE LIV SUPPORT! I want to stream this game in mixed reality so bad, but it's not currently supported :'[
Great simple game. Highly recommend if you have the space for it. Kind of like playing tennis constantly hitting the ball. Sound and looks all look great no complaints. Worth it for $15..

If you are into Retro/Synth wave and like Tron this is the game for you. It has all expected modes: campaign, arcade, multiplayer, with difficulty levels to keep you engaged (and sweating) for a decent amount of time. The graphics, music and sound is great and what you would expect from this kind of game (80s vibe). I also love that there are leaderboards! It makes up for multiplayer mode lacking players a bit.
Remarks and suggestions:
- I would love to have the ability to move the play area or at least ball spawning point around in game. The ball spawning point in directly in the center of the room and serving is difficult as I have to step aside for 1,5m to make a proper serve (and there I bump in a wall :D).
- the space needed is quite large, I would say 3m x 1,5m for a comfortable play area
- There is no Exit game button (that I could find)
Simple, solid, and fun! Game play is very straightforward, AI is challenging but has its weaknesses. Graphics have a nice synthwave style, music/sound is OK but can feel repetitive. I use it for VR workouts, as it gets you sweating at higher levels. Solid title! Thumbs: UP!
Great game! Every tennis/ pong game player will enjoy this. You actually need to jump, run, volley the same way you’d do in a real game court. Beware the walls! The game allows adjustments to stay safer from them.
The only drawback I noticed was the lack of multiplayer people online. There may be also a tracking lag for very fast moves, but I’m not sure.

Although I've only played about 35 minutes, this is a fantastic game! I bought it to try and give myself some inspiration to work out and get in shape, and this game lets me build up a sweat and get up a good workout that's amazingly fun!
I second the comments about using the wriststraps though. So far I've not had many problems, but so far I've only played Easy (it's early days for me!) One thing I'd add for newer VR users is to keep your thumb away from the Menu button when you grip the controllers. I've had the game pause without warning when I inadvertently pressed the button during play, which was distracting to say the least.
Easy mode is fun, but make no mistake, it's challenging. Rather than 5 levels of the same difficulty, the AI gets bonuses at the start of each new round, making their returns faster, or their speed faster, and you can feel the difference. There's also a Zen mode, which just lets you whack the ball around and bounce it off the walls, and which is very good to cool down after a workout (and sharpen your skills for the next day!)
There's very little running around in this game, but you WILL jump and squat to get those high/low balls, so if you're playing in a small space, make sure it's very clear before you start.
The only gripe I have is the backgrounds. They're great and they fit in, but it would be nice if we could play Holoball in some different surroundings.
Es ist erstaunlich wie viel herausragende Titel, die noch immer als Referenz durchgehen, mit dem Start der Rift und Vive erschienen sind. The Lab, Vanishing Realms, The Blue, Space Pirate Trainer, alles unverzichtbare Werke einer gut sortierten VR-Bibliothek. Als interessierter Beobachter der allerersten Stunde von VR hatte ich natürlich auch Holoball auf dem Radar. Leider ist dieser nicht gut gealtert und es gibt wessentlich bessere Alternativen wie vor allem Racket NX. Mich langweilte das Spiel bereits nach 9 Minuten und ich machte Gebrauch von meinem Recht auf Rückerstattung.

Refunded this one after only a few minutes, when I realised how basic and shallow it was.
This was a decent game back in the day when the Vive was released, but now I would not recommend it. The game mechanics are really dangerous, as you end up diving to get balls right at the edge of your playspace. There are ways to try to mitigate it (ex: setting smaller bounds), but the fast pacing of the game prevents any of them from working 100%. It can be scary watching someone play this!
This is probably one of the absolute riskiest VR games to play, potentially leading to a broken controller or worse (it was common to read horror stories related to this game in the first months after the Vive released). In the last couple of years better racket games have been released with designs that don't present the same risk of collateral damage, so I would suggest going with one of those instead.
If you do choose to play this game, make sure your TV/monitor is behind you, your bounds are set accurately, and your health insurance is paid up!

A fun way to exercise. My wife and I use this as part of our daily routine. It's a fun game and certainly gets the heart going dashing back and forth to hit the ball. The look is very cool and the games are challenging.
I would like to see improvements to the racket hit detection (or at least a review) because I think that I hit the ball but it doesn't register. It may be that I am actually missing the ball so I'll keep reviewing that aspect. Also, it would be nice to be able to retry a game instead of having to go back to the menu to go through the selection process again. (an option to replay once you lose). Otherwise, this is a solid game to add to your exercise routine. I also suggest Sparc, BoxVR and Sprint Vector.
Had this game since it came out. I have been using Zen mode for exercise the last 5 months as my job is now at a desk. It's very balanced exercise with a racket in each hand, I feel amazing after a 20-30 minute workout (I warm up and stretch first). I set the ball size at 150 I think and turn the speed up a bit. The music has got a bit tedious so I mute the sound and listen to morning news on radio 4 or trance rave music. It is definitely the best game for exercise out there, everything else I have tried works body too much one side, is so frantic there is a serious risk of injury or wears me out before I have done any aerobic exercise. Not sure it would be worth full price to a lot of people but if you are in to exercise it's great.

I've thoroughly enjoyed playing this and get a great workout at the same time. The only two issues I have is that the multiplayer is dead. Nobody is on so unless you have a friend to play with you won't be playing against a real person. Overall, great game and will continue to play it.
This is one of my favorite VR games. Its fast paced, extremely immersive and is a great alternaive to hitting the gym when I don't feel like leaving the house.

I can't feel my limbs. 10/10
This game is great. I never play for long periods, but it is great to pick up for 15-20 minute sessions (not sure why my playtime only shows 1 hour). It will definitely give you a work out. Be warned, it is easy to get immersed, I've jumped and rammer my hand into the ceiling multiple times.
Most active VR experience out there and totally smooth even on my lower end PC.
I want to love this game, I really do, but there is one huge thing making it more annoying than fun. For the most part, the game runs pretty fine, is fast pase, and can be some fun, but there is a huge problem with it (at least with minimumish specs for Vive). The problem is with the racket and ball collision. It happens during the faster parts of the game, hard and above, and has made me rage quit multipul times. You see, I have watched the ball go through my racket easily more than 30 times. Whats even more annoying is that sometimes the ball will clip through the racket and then hit it on the other side, sending it flying into my own goal at an angle impossible to achive without it hitting the back of the racket. The game Racket NX displayed similar behavior, but that behavior has been patched out months ago. Please fix this!
Love this game. only played against friends multiplayer not single player mode yet. Gets you hot AF!
Decent enough. Found the 'hit zone' to be a bit off. Kept missing the ball despite clearly swining in the right place. Not sure if it's an issue with the shape of the virtual paddle or something but other similar games (e.g. RacketNX) don't have the same problem. Returned for a refund as the inconsistent hits were bothering me too much but judging by the other reviews other people seem to enjoy it and not have the same frustrations.

Get as much space as you can for roomscale and clear the room, this game honestly requires it and is so much more fun that way. It's right up there with Racket NX. This game gives you more of a workout because you are moving around more, but Racket NX has more variety in the gameplay and more finesse. You can't go wrong with either one and I recommend both.

HoloBall is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to get some exercise.

I spent a few hours trying to beat the hardest AI and then next woke up with extremely sore legs. I couldn't figure out why they hurt until I realized how much squating down to hit low shots I was doing. Once you get into this it's a great game! Very simple but highly recommended!

The fun wears off quite quickly with this game, my inital impression was positive but the gameplay versus the AI isn't very well done and you really notice this after a few sessions when and the game just feels bland. Not worth the full asking price I'm afraid. You'll have some VR titles you play a couple of times and forget about, this is one of those games, it's fine a bit then you simply don't bother playing again as the nice visuals aren't enough to wallpaper over the tepid game within.
I think Racket: Nx is better
At $14, I expected a little more from a VR game.
This feels very EARLY VR and you can get many better games for $14/ $7. There just isn't too much to this game, and in 15 minutes, I feel like I've seen all there is to be seen.
That said.. isn't not broken or anything.. I just can't see me repurchasing this game or really playing it again.
Buy at $3 - $4.

I should have known better to get this.. it didn't strike me as a big win. I was right.
This title is probably getting uninstalled. Its just not fun. Physics are scewed because of play space restrictions and AI seems to be either terrible or OP. And its really just pong.. which I knew it would be.. and which hasnt evolved since 1980 so I guess this game is exactly what it should be. Boring.

Great fun! A simple idea well executed! This should be in any VR games collection.
A masterpiece of VR simplicity. It's pong, in VR. Yet it's also so much more. The amazing soundtrack, the snarky AI, the perfect art design, and the challenge that ramps up in just the right way. It's one of my essential VR experiences.
If you have multiple play areas available, then use the one with the most width. This gives the AI a wider area to return the ball and makes the game even better.
I don't get to play with VR all that often (sadly one of the side effects of growing into adulthood) but when I do, I ALWAYS play a round (or seven) or Holoball.
As a fan of the 'outrun' subgenre, this game is absolute perfection. The aesthetics are perfectly in tune with the visuals, the glowing pinks and blues mesmerizing as you duel the hateful A.I., all the while getting your blood pumping through intense acrobatic and badass motions with your lazer batons.
It'sthe first Vive game I've purchased that's room-scale only, and it puts it to great use. I cannot recommend this game enough.
So far I've only knocked my lampshade off the roof twice whilst going for a jump and serve.
