Несмотря на то, что на первый взгляд может показаться, что это кривой соулс-лайк, он все же довольно быстро затягивает своей атмосферой заброшенной космической станции (кстати отдельный плюс саундтреку) и понемногу, собирая логи с инфой и разговаривая с NPC, мы сможем понять, кто мы, где мы и что здесь вообще происходило до нашего появления.
В плане боевки здесь вайбл примерно все билды, главное правильно раскачаться, локации ориентированы на определенный лвл, поэтому иногда можно прийти в локу перекаченным/недокаченным, и это почти сразу становится понятно, с учетом того, что в игре не очень много ограничителей, которые запрещают перемещаться из локи в локу, это немного неправильно на мой взгляд.
С точки зрения уникальности игры могу отметить прокачку оружия за наносимый урон и открытие своих перков для каждой пушки, которые действительно помогают, а не являются бесполезными рудиментами а также Hell Hour и Black Hole Hour, в которые происходят некоторые изменения на локациях.
Многие пишут про запутанность локаций, с чем согласен частично, но если у вас есть память, то запомнить не составляет особого труда, единственные 2 локи, которые вызвали трудности, это Sohn District и Arisen Dominion.

Итог: 9/10, для инди проекта это очень хорошо

An underrated soulslike that plays like a more accessible version of Dark Souls 3. Where Hellpoint really shines is its somewhat nonlinear, exploration-driven structure, as well as its incredible atmosphere. The game's sci-fi-horror feel is very reminiscent of the film "Event Horizon."

There's still some minor technical issues in the game, some jank, and I think the "Blue Sun" DLC is ultimately unnecessary (and feels out of place when integrated into the base game), but the base game by itself is a very satisfying Soulsborne experience with mind-bogglingly good atmosphere.

I hope Cradle Games can secure the funding (or perhaps get a crowdfunding campaign) for a sequel/reimagining that allows them to fully flesh out their vision and show us what they can do.

DLC гавнище, надоело после основной игры бегать по комнатам в особняке искать моба которого пропустил, сильно перемудрили с лабиринтами и потайными проходами во всей игре. Баланса в оружии нет, большое оружие очень медленное и урона мало, быстрое оружие перебивает любое двуручное кроме молота Утоса. Все активные скилы которые открываются в оружии тоже мусор, кроме молота Утоса, но урона мало. Дизайн предпоследнего босса и арены наитупейшее гавно которое я встречал в соулсах.

But it carries a lot of character.

I tried playing Dark Souls 1 and 3, but they didn't make any sense, then I got this for free from GOG, and after the Celestial Beast boss it clicked in my brain and I beat it a few times. Then I bought it here on Steam and beat it a few more times. I played offline for a lot, so the playtime isn't accurate, I probably have at least double the amount shown.
Sure, it's not as polished as some other souls-likes, but the atmosphere and aesthetic is beautiful. Running around Irid Novo endlessly and getting lost in areas I've been in dozens of times was so much fun.
Because of this game I've played so many other souls-likes that it's probably an addiction.
In my opinion, this is definitely one of the better non-Fromsoft souls games, and everyone should play it

Чтоб он жил в таком, кто эти уровни рисовал. Чтобы в это нормально играть - нужно учить наизусть всю местность. И тут даже гайд не поможет, потому что надо помнить еще на каком "костре" ты активировал возможность переместиться, где какие НПС. Дыры под ногами, МНОГО дыр под ногами, куча лестниц в тупик. Сидишь вспоминаешь, вроде проход какой-то был. полчаса бегаешь, находишь - а там ничего. И так вся игра. Боёвка ни о чём, боссы тоже. При том сеттинг интересный. Есть какой-то такой эффект ретро, ощущение что где-то специально сделали топорно чтобы так игралось. Короче ознакомиться пожалуй я бы рекомендовал. Можно видео посмотреть. Играть - вряд ли. Просто всё время вспоминаешь куда идти, вот и вся игра.

I really enjoyed this game.
I played it on PlayStation before, and now I’m replaying it here. It works great with two players.

Yes, it’s a lower-budget title, and some levels can feel a bit too confusing (and I usually love metroidvanias). But despite that, it’s a solid soulslike with a cool sci-fi setting.

Los escenarios no están mal, son grandes y el juego te incita a la exploración, pero pasa que hay tramos complicados que dices "ostia, aquí habrá algo chulo" y termina siendo una armadura que ya tenías hace un buen o un ticket de tranvía >:v)/

Me hizo falta un arma creada con los tickets de tranvía y los módulos de fuerza y vitalidad que vas recogiendo por el camino xDD

A fairly decent 'souls like' game with an excellent, interesting and very large world to explore, with lots of secrets and secret passages, although some of the levels are a bit maze like. It has a good sci-fi atmosphere and reasonable story. The DLC is quite good as well.

The combat, however, is a bit janky, at times, and some of the jumping puzzles / problems can be annoying. The graphics, audio and music fits in well with the game, particularly the eerie music.

It took me about 60 hours to complete the original game and DLC - which I have played twice to the end. Note: you need a good ranged weapon to beat the final bosses. They are extremely difficult to beat with just melee combat weapons.

this game is like DarkSoul. If you take the wrong turn, you will face an enemy too strong and die.
There is no map/indication of where you should go.
When you quite the game, all the enemies are reappearing, so it's like you died. Very annoying.
There are bugs.

Combat is ok if you like soul-like game
It seems you can do some nice Build template but I couldn't find a way to reset and test stuff. Annoying again.

I am not a big fan of soul like, so this game is not for me but I would expect fan of the Darksoul to enjoy this.

This is Cradle's first game, so it's bound to have some rough edges.

But you can really feel the passion and dedication they put into it.

Even with some little flaws, the game's map design, the platforming, and the overall sense of exploration are genuinely touching and make playing it a really rewarding experience.

Прекрасный соулс серфинг на волнах аккреационного диска черной дыры, локации местами и правда чуть запутаны, но со временем запоминаешь каждый уголок за которым сидит обезумевший житель Ирид Ново.

Игра щедро осыпает оружием и броней, хотя лучшей связкой для меня остались Эспадон с рефлекторным катализатором и гранаты рельсотрона.

Приятный графен, потливые на первых порах боссы, прекрасные виды парящего на краю небытия, города-станции, хотя я не прошел наверно еще и половины игры (пришлось начать сначала....), но уже могу сказать что лор интересен, хочется понять что произошло и разобраться с виновниками.

Из неприятного баги, про них будет подробно т.к. потратили кучу нервов и времени, но тем не менее, встречаются они с достаточной периодичностью что бы слегка напрягать, но не заставить дропнуть игру)

Баги снарядов.
причем всех, каждый дальнобойный снаряд имеет некоторую вероятность пройти сквозь все столбы и стены, на этом было потрачено много траев в попытке переждать атаку босса или моба, хотя собственные снаряды так же имеют некоторую вероятность пройти сквозь стены и этим можно пользоваться, если у Вас конечно получится)

Баги атаки.
Это прослеживалось исключительно у мобов, если оружие врага имеет какой-нибудь заряд, то оно будет наносить двойной основной урон, например Вознесшиеся с кадилом в Доминионе, делает один размашистый удар, на персонажа прокнуло радиацией, получен дебафф, и 2 физ. урона одинакового кол-ва, так же слышно второй звук попадания, почти одновременный, но дающий 2 четких стука.

Баги смерти.
В соулсе часто приходится умирать, так что и здесь что-то нашлось, иногда при падении с большой высоты (обычно в пропасти) персонаж не погибает, а либо продолжает бесконечно падать, в этот момент можно управлять направлением его падения, либо остается в анимации падения оказавшись на земле, никакие кнопки кроме wasd или грибочка геймпада не работают, прервать бесконечность можно только перезапуском игры через alt+f4.
Не знаю как с другими мобами, но при смерти от атаки-захвата Транспортера (шото типо ящера), персонаж с пустым лайфбаром встает на ноги и предлагает прогуляться по текстурам Ирид Ново, мобы больше не обращают внимания, все действия кроме перемещения на своих двоих и микроспринта (почему то становится очень медленным, но все еще спринтом) не работают, но зато теперь можно перемещаться даже по воздуху и не падать в пропасть, или все таки стоит прогуляться до черной дыры?)
[spoiler] Из-за этого бага, при сопровождении Архитектора, был убит сам Архитектор, защитить его не удалось т.к. не работали атаки, собрать выпавшие с него ключи от дверей так же не удалось, а при возрождении у разлома нпс больше не было, как и его лута, позже я узнал что Архитектор [spoiler] важен для концовки и игру пришлось начать заново спустя 75ч. игры [/spoiler] [/spoiler]

Это мой первый соулс который я прохожу сам и с самого начала, несмотря на баги о которых я вспомнил в момент написания обзора, пока он оставляет только приятные ощущения в области жепы, как все и должно быть в соулс лайк играх)

В общем и целом, дарк соулс нравится, далекий космос и фантастика нравятся, стоит покупать!

总算结束赤这一坨了。
每当我想夸奖这游戏的时候，总会蹦出一些制作组的“小巧思”来搞心态，瞬间好感全无。
优点：地图上算学习了黑暗之魂，各地图之间四通八达连通性很强，喜欢探索地图很有地方探了。好像也就这一个优点了（游戏具体可以参考steam热门评论很详细我也不总结了）。以下均为个人吐槽：
1.游戏小bug多且触发率不低，比如被敌人打或你打敌人都可能导致俩方突然之间动不了；比如应该自动开的门它卡bug没开导致你错过一条探索路径（虽然退出重进就会正常开了，但你一直找不到路浪费的时间精力怎么算？）；比如你做任务走到NPC面前可能挡住他的路导致他一直不前进了。
2.全图充满着跳跳乐，外太空这地图更是一张跳跳乐为主的关卡哦，魂游整逆天跳跳乐真你幕fxxk stupid，有一些收集物所在之处非常逆天，跳跳乐会浪费你大量生命，我是来玩魂游的，不是来玩蔚蓝的。
3.地图探索是大连通性强四通八达，但问题也是太联通了导致你可能找不到下一章主线地图去哪怎么去，同时好些主线地图开路钥匙都得找隐藏路搜刮，不是所有人都能全图给你清干净的万一漏了钥匙那你毫无疑问，继续垃圾时间吧。dlc入口这游戏也没丁点提示全靠你自己的记忆了是吧？
4.好些联通捷径为了联通而联通，单向捷径我请问你设计那些个何意味？还有好些藏着的你得走一段路到的空房间，啥东西没有或者塞一个怪何意味？还有隐藏房间塞阴间陷阱的，说的就是亡灵圣地，隐藏房间地板会塌陷或者抬升但完全没有任何提示区分完全初见杀甚至多见杀，因为你起跳落地后很难再次起跳，导致你如果跳进塌陷地板直接狗带，所以我还得画个图多死几次记一下那里不塌陷是吧？
5.dlc有一个隐藏boss致敬了混沌温床哦，非常好致敬，使我鸟语花香。最近的篝火到隐藏boss的路都得跑365里路，路上还有个别需要跳的速降的，虽然不是本作其他恶心人的跳跳乐但稍不留神就摔死了然后重来吧，同时到boss地盘前有一段毫无辨识度的绕来绕去的地图恶心你浪费你时间；还有就是，这个boss会和第1点小bug联动哦，你被boss打中有概率出bug动不了然后被活活打死重新365里路（是的，我就是这种幸运儿），太美妙了。

The game offers a fairly interesting and different take within the Souls-like genre.
It does not relate to any other well-known title in the industry.
This IP presents a distinctive story—hard to fully grasp at times, but intriguing nonetheless.
The combat mechanics are average.
Armor and weapons are a highlight, allowing for good variety and experimentation.
The maps are very interesting.
You feel as if you’re playing within the universe of Pinhead or the Engineers from Prometheus.
The game runs smoothly, without bugs, glitches, or crashes as of 2026.
The soundtrack is strongly sci-fi, fitting its overall concept very well.
The DLC adds a lot to the experience.
I achieved 100% of the achievements in 81.5 hours, enjoying every FPS in just one run.

Overall, highly recommended.

Da ist etwas ganz Übles passiert

Eine murksige und ziemlich unausgegorene Souls-Erfahrung, der übelsten Sorte.

Auf einer Raumstation ist was mächtig schiefgelaufen und eine Maschine "blubbert" uns irgendwie in einem Wasserbecken zusammen. Kurz darauf schnappen wir uns ein Rohr (nein, bitte nicht mit dem großartigen System Shock verwechseln) und prügeln auf Gegner ein. Das Rohr sieht dabei eher wie eine Axt aus und man fragt sich schon, warum eigentlich. Die Grafik geht als ganz ok durch, es gibt so Kleinigkeiten, die mich aus der Immersion werfen. Achtet ganz am Anfang mal auf das Wasser... Dann hat es oftmals so dunkle Ecken, dass man dort stehende Gegner erst sieht, wenn die schießen oder man selbst "Nase an Nase" davorsteht. Von der Soundkulisse her wird kräftig Gruselstimmung aufgebaut, die auch schon mal für Gänsehaut sorgt. Die Steuerung mit Gamepad ist ganz ok, wenn denn die angezeigten Tasten auch funktionieren würden (wie zur Hölle geht ein Schildschlag?). Die Gegner schwanken zwischen Kanonenfutter (oder besser Rohrfutter) und unbesiegbar. Das könnte aber auch einfach daran liegen, dass das Spiel mir schon den Hinweis gibt, dass man Gegner mit einem Schildschlag verwundbar machen kann, aber ich keine Ahnung habe, wie der Schildschlag funktioniert (zumindest nicht mit der angezeigten Kombination LT+LB). Dann hatte ich lange ein Fragezeichen, wie eigentlich das Aufleven funktioniert. Irgendwie hatte ich das nicht kapiert, dass es bei einem Riss passiert. Grund dafür könnte gewesen sein, dass das Spiel mir nach dem Aktivieren des Risses etwas erzählt von Onlinefunktionen und "versucht dich mit einem passenden Spieler zu verbinden". Das hat mich tatsächlich dann auf die falsche Fährte gelockt. Kurz und knapp: Es gibt sehr viel bessere Möglichkeiten, seine Zeit zu verbringen. Wer ein gutes Sci-Fi-Soulslike möchte, sollte sich lieber "The Surge 2" anschauen.

The concept is cool, the setting in space and leveling up weapons is amusing, but the main direction and narrative for the game is unfortunately lacking. If you dig a soulslike which is clunky and demanding, you might like it. If you want a good experience overall, this is not it.

I'm right on the fence of whether to give this a positive or negative review. The game has a LOT of problems

- Simple and repetitive combat. There's a lack of enemy variety coupled with most weapons and guns feeling the same just with a different model or a different element

- Awful level design. Some maps can be really confusing to navigate through. Sohn District is the prime example of this. There's also bunch of platforming sections, some of them TERRIBLE beyond belief.

- Uneven difficulty. Most of the game is pretty easy, but then there are some enemies that can basically one shot you with a combo attack. A similar thing happens with bosses, most of them easy too, but then all of sudden you get a HUGE difficulty spike. The boss of Sohn District comes to mind. Think Ornstein and Smough in a smaller arena and in literally the second level of the game.

- Obfuscated design. The game is obsessed with making everything a mystery or secret. I know not explaining everything is kind of the deal with souls-likes, but if you don't have a guide you'll probably miss a good third of the content in the game. The eye codes and black hour doors are the worst offenders. You're telling me I have to input two codes (which are hidden in the game) then find the right door (I used a guide so i don't know if the game tells you which code goes for which door) and THEN wait until the clock hits the right time? (if you missed your chance be ready to wait around 2 hours for it to get in the right position again) All for fairly mediocre loot?

There are even more problems that I could mention, believe me. Like how the game can be a little buggy or how magic sucks or the loot you find is so underwhelming, or etc. And you would think that after all of that I would not recommend the game. And in spirit, I really don't lol. But I didn't put 60+ hours into the game for nothing, I can see the passion behind the team.

They really aimed high with this game, but sadly it seems they fell short. Looking them up it seems like they're working on shovelware games for GameMill, it's such a shame. I really hope the team gets another chance to work in another project someday. Because despite its flaws I can see what they were going for with Hellpoint, and they deserve to learn from their mistakes and have a second chance.

So you've decided to play Hellpoint, it is certainly a little bit of a mixed bag, but way more positive than negative.

[h3]Positives:[/h3]

The atmosphere is great, it's one of the few souls-likes, alongside Bleak Faith: Forsaken, where the devs actually played and understood Dark Souls. No over reliance on background music, mostly just ambients sounds and your own footsteps, making the world and exploration the focus and storytelling which is more like a puzzle than a complete story.

The art style is very 2010 games meet 80s and 90s scifi inspired, and usually I'd complain about a game looking outdated, but the more I play Hellpoint, the more I start believing it's deliberate and a stylistic choice, which I absolutely respect.

Overall, Hellpoint is heavily carried by its world and exploration, the actual combat and bosses feels quite weak and under developed. But kind of like Bleak Faith: Forsaken, the world itself goes very far, far enough to gain a positive rating from me even if I'm not really feeling the combat too much.

[h3]Negatives:[/h3]

Many animations look and feel slow, janky and clumsy.

Enemy design isn't super varied, you will primarily spend your time fighting the same 5-6 different enemies through the entire game. But I've seen games that did this in way worse ways, so it's not the end of the world.

I'm not a huge fan of the inventory screen, it's not super clear what everything does at first glance, there could have been more time spent on giving each item a backstory (it is true that some items do have it, but the majority does not), sticking with the understanding Dark Souls theme that is.

[h3]Conclusion:[/h3]

What you will get out of it depends on what expectations you go into it with. If your expectations are great combat, flashy animations and cinematic boss battles, you will be disappointed. However, if you go into it expecting a well crafted world, good atmosphere and exploration, the yes, Hellpoint is absolutely for you.

Gostei bastante da atmosfera, do design e da proposta do jogo. Algumas coisas são bacanas, a exemplo de você destravar habilidades das armas conforme o uso delas. No entanto, achei ruim o fato de o breache (bonfire) não recuperar as poções de cura após descanso. Neste jogo, você recupera as poções se bater nos inimigos... e tem que bater várias vezes. Não faz sentido.

Também tenho a impressão de que quando mais você morre mais os inimigos ficam fortes ou aparecem novos (apenas uma impressão, então não vou me basear nisso). Sobre isso que falei dos inimigos novos, eu não tinha visto na parte inicial um grandalhão cultista. Depois que morri umas duas vezes, ele apareceu. Achei estranho, pois ele nunca apareceu por lá.

Para variar, muita dificuldade artificial. O boneco é lento e desengonçado. Qualquer hit em você é uma sentença de morte e os combos dos inimigos por vezes são imprevisíveis (isso deveria ser positivo, mas como é hitkill então tanto faz).

Também achei sem sentido (outra dificuldade artificial) o fato de você ter que lutar contra um fantasma de si mesmo quando morrer. Ele é muito mais rápido, mais forte e agressivo. Além disso, é sorrateiro: se esconde atrás de colunas para te apunhalar. É um design voltado apenas a gerar frustração (como se morrer pelos inimigos já existentes no cenário já não fosse suficiente).

Além disso tudo tem os bugs. Somente nesse período de gameplay eu vivenciei dois bugs: após carregar o jogo, não consegui controlar o personagem. Ele ficou congelado. Tive que forçar o encerramento. O outro bug experimentei duas vezes: o boneco simplesmente ficou preso no chão e o inimigo conseguiu me matar. Achei que seria por causa da stamina zerada, mas não foi.

Novamente: há muita dificuldade artificial no jogo. Os inimigos que atiram spammam sem parar, mas se você ficar atrás deles eles não são inteligentes o suficiente para virar. Ou seja, o objetivo deles é realmente spammar. Os inimigos também causam muito dano e muitos deles funcionam de forma quebrada (fora das regras do jogo).

Realmente, as críticas negativas são muito válidas. É uma perda de tempo jogar isso aqui.

Hellpoint est un jeu intéressant, surtout pour le prix auquel je l’ai obtenu. C’est un souls-like dans l’idée, avec un univers différent. Aujourd’hui, en 2025, le jeu paraît assez rigide.

De plus, il est davantage basé sur l’exploration que sur les combats, ce qui propose un gameplay un peu différent, pouvant plaire comme déplaire. Plusieurs fins sont possibles.

Cependant, de nombreux bugs surviennent, notamment le respawn des ennemis, une coopération quasiment injouable à cause de déconnexions récurrentes, ainsi que des bugs de génération.

Malgré cela, le jeu reste très correct, avec un gameplay et un game-design centrés sur l’exploration. À voir si je poursuis l’aventure pour découvrir les différentes fins et le DLC, ou non.

I remember when this launched and people were crying about it at the same level as The Surge 2 being a bad sequel, calling it janky, unoriginal, horrible, even a WASTE OF STORAGE. (8 gigs is that much? I guess COD is fine being 300)
Hellpoint is a soulslike indie game (Atleast in my eyes, this isnt E33) and is a decent game at being what it was aiming for. Okay level design, TRASH boss movesets (To the point where TS2 had better bosses), Moderate difficulty (You can lower it down with a item) Weapons go to good to insulting God with how slow and agonizing they are (You are dead by the time you swing it, this game is quite literally HELLpoint), etc. Complaints after beating the normal game? Fall damage being ridiculous and Arisen Congregators, Consumer, Transporter, etc having the WORST design choices ever. Did the devs even remember that in the area for Arisen Congregators, 90% of the playerbase has either already left or is level 20??? AND WHY THE HELL DID THEY TURN INTO NORMAL ENEMIES?
In general terms, theres some meat and its not just a "Dark Souls at home" or a tremendously bad game as everyone whined about it. Lore is great, armor and equipment has the best design i ever saw in souls games, space setting is unique and cutscenes are well made for a low budget game.

It's as pure a soulslike as you'll find. I adore the aesthetic. Not as mechanically polished as the original Fromsoft games. If you love the aesthetic, just get it. Otherwise, play this around when you're done with the originals and Lords of the Fallen (ver 2 or newer) and still want more.

Se nota que es un juego hecho con cariño. Un equipo pequeño pero lleno de ganas de hacer las cosas bien. Por un lado está claro que no tiene la producción de otros títulos del género, pero a la vez tiene uno de los mejores sistemas cooperativos on-line. Es sencillo, simplemente funciona. Por otro lado el gran atractivo es el ambiente, que ni bien empezar nos recuerda a H.G. Giger y a las películas de horror/ciencia ficción clásicas. Игра меня зацепила каким то своим неповторимым шармом. Влюбился в Ирид Ново с первого взгляда.
Полюбил за отличнейший левелдизайн: хочется обследовать мир игры вдоль и поперёк.
Из минусов некоторые однообразные боссфайты в тесных аренах с боссами которые .в дальнейшем становятся обычными мобами, хотя подобным грешат почти все соулс-лайки.

Janky and clearly on a budget, but don't let that deter you from a decent Soulslike set in a dark scifi setting with nearly seamless co-op as well. Including a variety of weapons and armor to use against an array of bosses, this definitely worth it on a good sale.

Lo recomiendo si eres fan de los soulslike y tienes ganas de mas, si lo pillas barato vale bastante la pena.

El juego tiene ideas buenisimas que se ve que debido a bajo presupuesto quizas tiempos ajustados no pudieron pulirse, las pantallas de carga, la extraña optimizacion, algunas zonas y los bosses son su mayor problema.

El mapa es muy divertido de explorar y la ambientacion es clave, es buenisima, el combate no es bueno pero tampoco es malo, se siente bien y ya.

A este juego le vendria de lujo una secuela porque tiene ideas super super buenas que estan ejecutadas de formas un tanto cutres, no me suelen gustar los soulslike fuera de los de FromSoft pero este es realmente divertido y su dificultad no es artificial.

Uno de mis títulos favoritos de la historia. [b]Es una hermosa sensación de recuerdos entre Diablo II y los primeros Souls.[/b] Una reverenda pasada absoluta, un soulslike de manual con un saborcito de Bloodborne pero muy a su estilo, con un horror cósmico brutal (grime, futurista, tecnológico), una sensación de desolación y abrumante cabronsisima; la ambientación personalmente me fascinó.

No me cansaría de recomendar este título jamás, pero eso si es duro de inicio, cuesta tomarle ritmo. Definitivamente creo que es de nicho y pudiera no ser de agrado de cualquiera, pero si traes un mínimo de interés o has probado géneros similares te lo juro no te arrepentirás.

Pd: considero que es un título que se juega algo lento, no rushearlo por favor disfruta y explora hay muchos secretitos y lugares a los que no parece pero puedes acceder.

Para mi obviamente tenemos Elder Ring y Lies of P a un nivel altísimo pero Hell Point esta abajito sin pedir mucho discreto, hermoso y muy disfrutable. De verdad considerarlo.

Pd2: si te mama el horror, o el Sci-fi, lo único que veías en la Tv era el canal de Panico y SyFy, además tienes afinidad por la temática Lovecraft. [b]Este título es una joyita de las buenas. [/b]

[b]Gameplay[/b]
“Hellpoint” ist ein futuristisches Souls-Like, in dem wir uns durch eine runtergekommene Raumstation schnetzeln. Der Nahkampf ist hier klar im Fokus, aber wir können auch mit Distanzwaffen und Fähigkeiten unsere Stärken ausspielen. Generell fühlt sich das Spiel fair und abgerundet an. Wenn es uns erwischt, sind wir in der Regel selber daran schuld. Für ein Souls-Like ist “Hellpoint” aber keine extreme Herausforderung, auch wenn es sicherlich nicht einfach ist. Aber mit sammelbaren Items können wir den Schwierigkeitsgrad extrem erhöhen und uns das Leben so richtig, richtig schwer machen. Im Vergleich zu anderen Souls-Likes ist die Gefahr allerdings auch schon so hoch, irgendwo in den Tod zu stürzen. Eine nette Idee ist, wie der Spielfortschritt gemessen wird. So geben Bosse und Risse (das Äquialevent zum Lagerfeuer) zusätzliche Prozente, aber auch Wissen, dass wir über die Welt erfahren. Dieses ist für den Storyfortschritt notwendig.

Typisch für das Genre gibt es viele Spielmechaniken, die man sich selber erschließen muss. Hier spielt die Zeit zum Beispiel eine wichtige Rolle. Etwas verwirrend war allerdings das Inventarmanagement und die Attribute, die mit jeder Erhöhung teurer.

Besonders clever ist die Welt von “Hellpoint”. Denn das vertikale und verschachetelte World-Building sorgt dafür, dass man die Augen immer offen halten sollte. Das ist hier wirklich anspruchsvoll, aber eben auch sehr belohnend! Selbst hinter absolut unscheinbaren Ecken können große und optionale Bereiche auf den neugierige Entdecker warten. Überall winken versteckte Gegenstände, an denen man leicht vorbeilaufen kann.
Einer der großen Stärken des Spiels ist auch der Multiplayer, sei es über das Internet oder lokal im Splitcreen. Sobald man ungefähr Minuten zum ersten Riss gespielt hat, kann man anderen Spielern einfach beitreten. Etwas ärgerlich, wenn auch verständlich, ist allerdings, dass Spieler 1 hier wichtiger als der zweite Spieler ist. Nur Spieler 1 kann eine neue Karte laden, mit relevanten Inhalten interagieren und verliert beim Tod zunächst seine Währung. Spieler 2 hat da beim Tod nichts zu befürchten, respawnt aber mit, wenn es Spieler 1 erwischt. Da fühlt sich als zweiter Spieler etwas blöd, aber generell Splitscreen ist bei solchen Spielen derart selten, dass ich gut damit leben konnte. Zum Spielen eignet sich übrigens definitiv der Controller besser.
Leider hat das Spiel auch ein mehrere Bugs. Wir haben es geschafft, uns in den freien Fall zu glitchen, zweimal wurde die gesamte Umgebung ausgeblendet und gerade an Schrägen kann der Charakter nicht so gut laufen und hängt öfters fest. Das war zwar nervig, hat uns aber jetzt keinen ganz großen Abbruch getan. Die Spielzeit varriiert bei “Hellpoint” stark. Man kann das Spiel bei schon ca. 50% des eigentlichen Inhalts beenden oder weiter die Station erkunden.

[b]Story[/b]
Als synthethischer Mensch erwachen wir in einer weit entfernten Zukunft auf der Raumstation Irid Novo. Überall auf der Station wimmelt es von mutierten Menschen und einer anderen Spezies. Nach kurzer Spielzeit gibt uns unser Schöpfer, der sogenannte Autor, den Auftrag, mehr über das Geschehen und die Welt zu erfahren. Viel mehr Geschichte kriegt man zunächst auch nicht.

Unterwegs treffen wir ein paar Charaktere, mit denen wir reden können, und Bücher, die uns generell mehr über die Geschichte verraten. Der Fokus liegt eher auf dem Gameplay, die Story kann man leider wirklich vernachlässigen. Sie ist dünn erzählt und bietet trotz verschiedenen Enden nur sehr wenig.

[b]Grafik/Sound[/b]
Das Spiel hat keine schlechte Optik, auch wenn sie sicher nicht mit den großen Titeln mithalten kann. Wenn ich Hellpoint beschreiben müsste, dann als dunkel. Die Dunkelheit kommt tatsächlich gut im Gameplay zum tragen und macht mit dem komplizierten Level Design viele Erkunden noch schwieriger. Ansonsten ist die Welt recht schön gestaltet.
Interessant ist, dass alle Charaktere und Aufzeichnungen in einer Fantasysprache aufgenommen sind. Wobei ich mehrmals dachte, eher eine slawische Sprache zu hören. Musik gibt es nicht soviel und die Soundeffekte sind zumindest in Ordnung. Das Spiel bleibt hier aber eher ruhig.

[b]DLC[/b]
Das “Blue Sun”-DLC bringt drei neue Areale mit sich, die man ab ca. 50% der benötigten Informationen betreten kann. Die Areale selber sind echt schick und bieten neue Ausrüstung und Feinde. Der Schwierigkeitsgrad, aber auch die Belohnungen sind hier deutlich höher als im Hauptspiel. Schade fand ich nur, dass auch hier kaum etwas storyrelevantes passiert.

[b]Fazit[/b]
„Hellpoint“ wäre an sich nicht meine erste Wahl als Souls-Like, auch wenn es vieles gut macht. Es ist solide. Die ganz großen Pluspunkte waren für mich aber zum einen das Sci-Fi Setting und zum anderen der Multiplayer, insbesondere im Splitscreen. Das war auch ausschlaggebend für den Kauf. Wer ein gutes Souls-Like sucht, ist hier gut beraten, sollte aber den Schwierigkeitsgrad im Spiel aber dann steigern. Gut unterhalten wurden wir von „Hellpoint“ zumindest und so manches Mal haben wir das Zeitliche gesegnet. Dementsprechend gibt es von mir einem Daumen nach oben!

Wer Interesse hat, sich aber noch nicht so sicher ist, kann sich ja mal [url=https://store.steampowered.com/app/1243140/Hellpoint_The_Thespian_Feast/]Hellpoint: The Thespaian Feast[/url] anschauen. Das spielt zwar angeblich nach dem Ende des Spiels, erzählt storymäßig aber gar nichts. Dazu ist es kostenlos und im Kern eine kurze Demo, was „Hellpoint“ so zu bieten hat.

Как конкурент 1\2 соусу могла бы быть хороша, но сейчас играть приходится через силу.
Как многие упоминали, интерфейс и ознакомление с ним и и с механиками плоховаты.
Вроде как бы всё тут есть, костры, души, прокачки, перековки, кувырки, блоки и т.п. но всё как буд-то хуже чем в соусах во всём, хоть и почучуть.
Баги и лаги есть, но они не критичны. Главная причина почему я не буду доигрывать игру - темнота, плохо сделанная темнота. Тут и глаза пучить постоянно, и умирать от того что не увидел на чёрном полу чёрную дыру вы будете чаще чем от врагов. Если выкрутить яркость, то ничего от некого дарк-фентези шарма не останется вовсе.

Итого, если вы ярый Соусоед, и всё сыграл, то попробуйте и это, А если с таким жанром не знакомы, то лучше попробуй старших брятьев для ознакомления (Серии Демонсоулс, Даркоулс, Элденринг, Сурдж, или ещё чего).

Hp sponges, sluggish combat, bosses are spammy like hell and it gets worse as you can increase your stamina pool but not the recovery in any proper form. General exploration and combat is fine but bosses are so poorly made with such terrible design philosophy that you just yearn to play dark souls 1-3 instead. The story is boring, the combat is unfinished, a lot of animations seem jerky or downright missing. It's horrendous with bugs and glitching and the world is just so dreadfully dull and grey that in the end you have no desire to even bother killing these bosses and continue. 3/10.

Хочу чтобы эта игра рекомендовалась моим друзьям, поэтому вот я здесь. Прям если в двух словах, Хеллпоинт больше Дарк Солс чем сам Дарк Солс. Если вам зашёл именно "Припер ту Дай", то настоятельно рекомендую дать игре шанс. Возможно где-то потерпеть, местами пережилиться, но это тот экспириенс, который вам не дадут "новые" ДС или их клоны. Я хочу попробовать немного реанимировать репутацию игры, после того, как такие блогеры как "Бес Полезный" буквально ХОРОНЯТ хорошие проекты из-за собственной лени и безалаберности!

Недавно я доделал платиновый трофей (если так можно выразиться), прошёл неплохой DLC Blue Sun и думаю мне есть что рассказать. Геймплейно - это прям ДС ДСом, порог входа для олдов жанра будет относительно безболезненный по началу (не считая того, что бег на другую кнопку). Лупим обычных мобов, лутаем непонятные рандомные вещи, которые между прочим С КАРТИНКАМИ (привет ДС 2), проходим простеньких первых боссов. Как вдруг, доходя до так называемого "Сон Дистрика" у вас начинается отторжение, мало того, что игра довольно странная, так ещё вы начинаете страдать географическим кретинизмом, ибо локации настолько запутанные, что в суетливой или рабочей обстановке сосредоточиться на игре просто НЕВОЗМОЖНО (привет экспириенс на Стим Дэк). Так это ещё пол беды, боссы локации - это два чела в золотых масках, которые стреляют в тебя ваншотами. После этого многие уже дропнут игру и напишут "кaлище", но вот тут как раз и был момент входа в ДС формат, вам надо было пройти этих боссов, и с места в карьер идти в Доминион Вознесшихся. Если вы справитесь с этой локацией, то я думаю сидя там 5-7 часов, лутая каждый угол, вам реально станет интересно, у вас появится куча разных опций для игры и строение уровней не будет вас настолько сильно душить. Дальше приключение пойдёт как по маслу, и я бы хотел прежде поговорить о сильных чертах данного игрового произведения:

1) Визуальный стиль, честно, я большой фанат космоса, это намного круче ваших "вестернов" и "великих отечественных воин", мне очень в своё время понравился "The Surge" и казалось бы подобной игры уже не будет, но Hellpoint мне понравился НАМНОГО больше. Сурдж не предоставляет реиграбельности, прошёл разок, доделал ачивы и до свидания, никакого ПвП, коопа, никакого праздника! В Хеллпоинт мало того что куча вариативности оружия, так ещё и билдостроение, и плит скрин кооп и сетевой кооп и ПвП арена, просто смак конечно.
2) Ивенты, мама дорогая, да, в 12 гб игре есть ивенты. До этого мой последний контакт с ивентами был в таких играх как Skyforge и Watcher of Realms и что я могу сказать, там на пороге говорят, братан, праздник, тебе надо что то купить за реальную валюту. Ну или тебе надо играть две недели, чтобы получить поcocную шляпу. А теперь Хеллпойнт... такой, подержите моё пиво и делает бесплатный ивент с кучей разных предметой. А я как раз залетел на хэллуинский период, просто играешь, фоном с мобов падают конфетки и ты их обмениваешь на всякие маски, визуальную прокачку брони, оружия и прочего. Это было просто потрясающе, сидел в каком-то перманентном детском восторге! (можете посмотреть мои скрины, я там как раз во всём ивентовском) Надеюсь какие-нибудь сингл игры додумаются до такого тоже.
3) ДС ради ДС, да, это тоже плюс, я очень давно прошёл все Дарк Солсы на платину, на ПвПшился вдоволь и уже попробовал не один пяток классов для отыгрыша. Хотелось что-то другое, абсолютно новое, и именно Хеллпойнт дал мне такие эмоции. Более того, это буквально единственная игра за последнее время, где я сделал кучу скриншотов и их выложил, в остальные игры я играю с таким покерфейсом, что рука даже не пыталась тянуться к F12.

Честно, это всё конечно круто, но формула этой игры не идеальна, разработчик пытался на устаканненый жанр добавить что-то своё, и зачастую - это было лишнее. Попробую об этих недочётах поговорить ниже, возможно их исправят в следующей части игры (если её не отменили из-за всяких там "Бысполэзных"):

1) После смерти тебя у "лужи" встречает твой враждебный фантом - меготупость. Мало того что ты слил 100к душ и хочешь их забрать, тебе по мимо тех мобов, что уже вкатили ещё и будет встречать полностью такой же по силе доппельгангер как и ты сам. Я не скажу что фантом очень умный, иногда он сам себя шотает об пропасть и т.д. но всё же, зачем наказывать игрока, который итак уже был наказан - мне непонятно. Это нужно было вырезать по существу, сложности в этом не особо, а раздражения - хоть отбавляй.
2) Платформинг секции, почему-то разработчики решили, что прыжки в ДС - это самая сильная сторона, и просто 20% всей игры вы будете косплеить руферов, а точнее... их смачные падения. Вечно куда-то надо перепрыгнуть с разгона, ходить по тонюсеньким балкам, наступать на невидимые платформы и конечно же, одна ошибка и ты ошибся, да здравствует полёт в пропасть! При чём очень много полезного лута спрятано в этих паркур секциях, но да, по секрету скажу, прыгать также криво и сложно как в классике ДС, если у тебя получился один прыжок, то ты считай уже герой, только вот незадача, впереди ещё девять... Тут мой совет, можно конечно не вырезать, но уменьшать такое точно надо, вся игра буквально в пропастях, раздражает. Опять же, это ни капли не про скилл, это просто какой-то поломанный 3д Марио референс, оно в игре нам не надо, правда (особенно смешно, когда в конце такой секции лежат 3333 аксиомов, отличный троллинг, спасибо).
3) Синхронизаторы разлома - они же разовый Лорд Вессел, очень плохая идея. В игре нет карты, а бонфаиры нужно пробуждать этими разломами, чтобы можно телепортироваться от них и потом вернуться, спойлер - в игре довольно мало таких синхронизаторов (по крайней мере на видных местах) и у вас будет вечная дилемма: пробежать мне пешком обратно пару тройку костров, или же потратить последний синхронизатор и надеяться что дальше я найду ещё один. Очень плохо, хоть и бэктрекинг зачастую позволяет найти секретку, а то и несколько, но в игре слишком его много. Больше половины игры, пока вы не зная достаточно её окрестности, будете бегать туда сюда, изредка перемещаться в Обсерваторию (главный хаб) от кого-то удачного или не очень фонтана. Моё предложение, сделать телепорт в свободном доступе без этого вот "щита", если люди заходят до исследовать по новой - они до исследуют сами, без вынужденного бэк трекинга.
4) Переходим к самой нашумевшей претензии - левел дизайн. Ух, знаете, я уже наверное застокгольмился, но поначалу я просто ненавидел здешние уровни, эти бессмысленные коридоры с кучей тропинок в 5 направлениях, но со временем мне реально стало интересно вести подсчёты в голове, считать сколько поворотов я пропустил, что там было и т.д. Но по секрету скажу - это не здраво. У игрока не должна быть такая cpaнина в голове от вашей игры, в которую он наверное пришёл отдохнуть после тяжёлого рабочего дня. Многие даже говорят, что будто эти локации делала "Обливионская нейросетка") Тут конечно как бы не знаю, но лут разложен довольно качественно и интересно, но в общем да, хотелось бы чтобы в Хеллпоинт 2 были локации созданные от руки, красивые и без лишнего паркура по этажам и балкам.

Хоть я и наскулелся за 10 абзацей, но по сути это просто пожелания игрока, которому НЕ всё равно на игру, и я хочу поставить жирный лоис, потому что у команды создателей практически получилась легендарная формула классической ДС и Демонов, хоть и со своими костылями, но в тоже время не забыв про реиграбельность (привет Сурдж). Честно, за редким исключением тут не будет объективной оценки, я поставлю 10 прыжков в разрушенной гостинице из 10 (кто понял тот понял). Это реально лучший солслайк за последнее время, который я проходил.

There are a few small bugs, but nothing really noteworthy as to make me want to avoid playing. All games have bugs, ultimately.

But the story is fantastic, the gameplay is smooth, the mechanics are fun and engaging.

I've bought multiple copies of Hellpoint for myself and for friends, and honestly, I will keep doing so. :)

I really love this game! While it does lack some polish, there's really great fun to be had here, especially with a friend. I barely encountered any bugs personally. I think the price is a bit steep but if you can get it on discount with the DLC, it's 100% worth it!

There are true moments of brilliance to be found in Hellpoint’s sci-fi soulslike, but unfortunately these are overshadowed by questionable design choices, frustrating traversal mechanics, and far too many bugs.
You play as a “spawn”, one of the last true humans to be awakened on the Irid Novo Space Station. You soon discover that while you were in hibernation the owners of the station summoned three cosmic gods into this universe from a parallel dimension, with, as you can imagine, disastrous consequences. The station was overrun, and its inhabitants transformed into demons. After meeting up with an AI known only as “The Author”, you are tasked with gathering as much data on what happened as possible so it can fix the devastating hellscape the place has become.

It’s an interesting hook, and Hellpoint gives off a good first impression. The massive decaying star visible from the observatory or the purple neon lights of the Arcology mix scifi and brutalist architecture to great effect. It’s a pity, then, that these early environments are in my opinion two of the three most interesting levels of the game, and before long our protagonist is sent elsewhere. I spent a lot of time traipsing down one dark, forgettable corridor after another, with so many reused assets I often found myself completely lost. Not only was this frustrating to navigate, but some corridors were so narrow it was impossible to dodge correctly, leading to me getting stun locked or pushed into a corner without a means to retaliate.

The other issue with the level design is a major over-reliance on platforming sections. All souslikes have the occasional area where some jumping is required, but it’s far too frequent here, and the controls just aren’t tight or consistent enough. The most egregious examples are the magnetic rails that are Hellpoint’s equivalent of ladders. There are instances in the game where you have to jump sideways or backwards off one of these rails, and the camera is so finicky you have about a 50% chance of going in the wrong direction and falling to your death.

The platforming wouldn’t be an issue if it was only for optional loot or lore, but it’s not. In fact, one of the most important items in the entire game, needed to obtain the True ending, is at the bottom of a platforming deathtrap that had me sweating and yelling far more than the final boss.

Sometimes it can take a while to get to those platforming sections, too. Hellpoint doesn’t freely allow fast travel between it’s “breaches” (bonfires), you have to use an item to “synchronise” the breach first. The item is sufficiently rare that you probably won’t find enough to synchronise everything, so you’ll have to pick and choose, which is especially annoying when you burn one of these items only to discover a shortcut or elevator to another area five minutes later.

The way you level up your spawn in Hellpoint is interesting, but once again obtuse and poorly explained. In true soulslike fashion you have various stats you can increase, and weapons that can be upgraded both by using them (like Nioh’s familiarity mechanic) and by slotting them with different types of catalysts. I mostly go for a strength build in my souls games, so naturally I dumped a load of points into health, stamina, and strength, only to see a negligeable increase in damage. I’m talking a point or two extra per level.

It took me a trip to the Hellpoint wiki to understand that stats only need to be levelled to be able to wield certain weapons and armour, and that the actual damage comes from the catalyst, not the stat. Even more obtuse is the fact that slotting, say, a reflex catalyst onto a strength weapon is actually more effective than using a strength catalyst as it adds an additional scaling stat instead of just increasing the first one.

It's an interesting idea, but so poorly explained I gave up on my initial build and ended up respecing entirely (something that wasn’t available at launch). Fortunately, the game became much easier as a result. Perhaps too easy, in some cases, especially as the bosses have slow, easily-read attacks that can be dodged through or away from, and one of the healing items actually heals you for 150 to 200% of your initial health, so even if you do get hit, your healthbar still ends up full. The dual final boss fight, however, was another kettle of fish entirely, and took me a good dozen attempts or so.

I think what makes Hellpoint hard to recommend in general is that it often confuses difficulty and frustration. It has some genuinely great moments of exploration that are hampered by too many platforming sections. Some innovative art design that is sandwiched between stretches of long, boring corridors. And an innovative upgrade system that needs a better tutorial or description.

I’m hoping these discrepancies can be ironed out in a future sequel, but as it stands Hellpoint is a disappointment.

This game has so much heart and character. Can clearly tell the dev put lots of effort to make this game. The combat is serviceable. The more you used a weapon the more you unlock its passive and active skills.
I really don't like that armors are tied to stats.
Enemy variety is also a plenty.
Also its healing doesnt regenerate on Breach (bonfire). What you do is hit enemies to refill heals. Though there is very limited amount of healing the game but each 1 will heal you fully so I recommend getting your HP as high as it can get.
There is no homeweard bone in the game so just quit and Enter back so the game will put you in the last Breach you interact.
But the over engineered and almost labyrinthian design of areas really sour my experience of this game. Too many random pathways that snake its way and put you back in random unnecessary places that doesn't really have importance putting more confusion on your navigation. I also hate that you have to find an item to sync breaches so you can fast travel in other synced breaches making navigation and backtracking even more painful than it has to.
Still manage to 100% the game but that is me putting all my research power to find dozens of walkthroughs for this obscure game.
Only play this if you want some soulslike with unique elements but also has some major flaws. If you can stomach them then try this.

Ja und Nein. Es ist ein toller Ansatz und die Spielwelt sieht gut aus. Die Gegner sind interessant designed und es spielt sich erst einmal sehr fließend. Das Parrysystem ist ... nicht gut. Es klappt, aber lohnt sich in keinem Fall. Es ist schlicht Ressourcenkostender als durchgehend blocken und Schlagen, wenn es passt. Ausweichrolle: Ok. Manchmal treten sehr merkwürdige Effekte auf und Gegner schießen und Schalgen durch Hindernisse, wo das scheinbar nicht gewollt ist. Das Trefferfeedback ist etwas lasch.

Die Story ist schön verschwurbelt und gut erzählt. Das Gefällt!
Es macht Spaß und frustriert auf der anderen Seite. Man hat das Gefühl das etwas fehlt.

Fazit: Ja und Nein.

This game seems like it would be fun for multiplayer, but playing alone after 14 hours, I am done, I wont touch this game again.
I haven't finished it, I have started it a few times and while there are a couple of cool ideas through the game, its just very bland and the bosses attacks have some pretty questionable hitboxes. Grab it on sale if you are interested in space-souls, but overall its a bit uninspired and the mechanics you would think would make an impact like the time mechanics that you see the moment you boot up, have 0 impact outside being mildly frustrating.

Every couple of years i come back and play this game. It has that same Jank feeling as a Gothic game. It has interesting lore and a black hole mechanic that makes enemies more difficult while also opening new pathways/secrets to explore.

Overall 7/10
Would love to see a part 2.

I wish there was a neutral rating, because that's where this game fits. I guess positive will have to do.

Hellpoint is conceptually very cool, sci-fi with obvious influences from Dark Souls and Hellraiser (though less so in that regard). Sadly, the lack of development time, funding, a really buggy launch, and overall sales seem to have hindered this title. I would say it's worth a buy on sale if you need to scratch a Souls itch and like the sci-fi genre as well.

PROS
+ Story is pretty alright
+ Intriguing lore that left me wanting to know more about the universe
+ Lots of weapons and armors to build around
+ Combat is challenging if you don't min/max
+ Graphics are still decent, and elevated with a ReShade preset on Nexus

CONS
- Still a lot of bugs and seems to have been abandoned
- Can crash sometimes, depending on hardware or odd circumstances in gameplay
- Lots of cut content that would have wrapped things up better story-wise
- Area layouts can be confusing, and downright nonsensical sometimes. Too. Many. Keycard. Doors.
- PVP Arena is absolutely dead because no one plays, you will never get that golden armor set now naturally
