Esse é claramente um jogo que gera muitos sentimentos...

Primeiramente, gosto muito da proposta, acho que é uma boa combinação de card game e um jogo de ação, apesar da ação em sí ser um pouco capenga, as animações de luta são um pouco qualquer coisa e o combate, apesar de gostar, chega a ser bem monótono.

Porém, a minha crítica vai muito em cima no design de progressão que foi implementado, veja, na dificuldade normal, durante 85% do jogo, ele é extremamente fácil, tanto as runs, quanto os boss, ao ponto de ser difícil de morrer, porém, quando se chega no penúltimo boss, a dificuldade se transforma em algo completamente absurdo. As penalidades são abusivas, e em 3 hits você morre no boss (a fase em sí, continua sendo simples e fácil).

A escala de dificuldade dos chefes se torna tão absurdo que um jogo na qual você passou 8 horas jogando sem morrer nenhuma vez, se torna quase impossível a progressão.

Fui pesquisar sobre e vi que tem um monte de gente com o mesmo problema, a escala de dificuldade absurda que fazia geral ter a progressão interrompida. Vendo esses comentários, algumas pessoas disseram que tiveram que refazer algumas runs de chefes mais fáceis para farmar cartas e tentar desbloquear coisas novas para somente assim, ter a possibilidade de itens melhores e tentar uma sorte melhor nesses chefes quebrados.

Mas veja, o jogo em momento nenhum te prepara para isso, como qualquer roguelike/roguelite que já fazem o jogador morrer de cara, para ensinar ao jogador que sim, ele vai morrer com frequência e que ele precisa fazer e refazer algumas runs para ser mais forte, porém, em Hand of Fate isso não existe, eu passei 8 horas de gameplay sem morrer para do nada a dificuldade dos chefes escalar de uma forma absurda. E também, depois de 8 horas de jogo eu me recuso a ter que refazer sabe-sá lá quantas runs para talvez desbloquear uma carta que talvez apareça no momento que eu preciso

Pra mim, isso soa como um erro do design de progressão (ou um bug mesmo?) porque absolutamente não faz sentido haver uma progressão tão quebrada como essa.

No fim das contas, depois de muito quebrar a cabeça, eu desisti, diminui a dificuldade, porque eu cheguei muito longe para não ver um final. Fiz as duas últimas runs, e nessa nova dificuldade eles estavam bem oks (Na verdade, eles estavam como deveriam estar na dificuldade normal) até que eu cheguei na batalha contra o Cartomante..

Que batalha horrorosa, eu já acho bem paia esse negócio de você ter que lutar novamente com todos os outros chefes que você lutou, porém, além disso, durante as ondas, cada chefe tinham os seus minions e para cada onda, eu tinha que matar um toten ou personagem específico para poder matar todos os outros inimigos

Agora pensa, entre 3 a 5 inimigos por onda (foram 3 ou 4 ondas no total), todos os inimigos com proteção, sendo obrigado a matar um inimigo específico primeiro e no intervalo das ondas ter que lidar com o Cartomante tendo que desviar dos golpes com a movimentação esquisita que o personagem tem... mesmo com a dificuldade diminuída foi terrível.

Só um mrantifun pra ajudar a terminar esse jogo véio quebrado

Всем доброго времени суток, в данной игре мы играем за Сергея Симонова и побеждаем фраеров различных мастей, так же топим крыс, так же как настоящие древние русы мы бьем ящеров, супостатов нечестивых. Для тех кто любит трилогию Batman-а, Darkes Dungeon, Dark Souls ну и в дурака играть в карты с мужиками в баре под пиво. Игра заставит вас полюбить комбинацию клавиш Alt + F4, это ваш арсенал, пользуйтесь негодяй и личности не захотевшие принять свою судьбу.
Графика 8/10 в принципе неплохо, мне нравятся как челопутики отлетают от ударов, и последнее что ты видишь их тупые лица, или как камера фокусируется на Сереге, который сам в ♥♥♥♥ как он победил Кракена.
Сюжет 9/10 реально карты ♥♥♥♥ взаимосвязаны, вы это знали? А я нет, и тот же торговец которого ты обул три раунда назад, может дать тебе пиздюля, сам же раздающий тот еще гандольер, он и похвалит и поугарает над тобой и совет даст, и наоборт задизморалит. Сюжет реально хорош, для игры такого жанра.
Геймплей 6/10 надоедает махаться с одними и теми же обосрышами, а Alt + F4 это ваша постоянка для пути к платине, одеваться конечно круто, но слишком много рандома, реально зачем в казино играть, вот запускай и крути бурмалду себе на счастье.
Итог: проиграл душу в карты дьяволу, остался с порваной жопой от минотавра, напился с капитаном корабля и потерял корабль от Кракена, ставь класс если жена друга просит найти его в кабаке, а ты вместо того что бы его возвращать сел с ним бухать и очнулся на уровень ниже.

Hand of Fate faz uma boa mistura de deckbuilder de ação, tabuleiro, RPG de mesa e uma pitada de roguelite. A ideia de enfrentar o dealer em uma mesa de cartas, enquanto cada carta vira um evento ou combate, é criativa e dá identidade ao jogo.

Conforme as cartas são desbloqueadas, cada tentativa se desenvolve de forma diferente, pelo menos inicialmente, pois alguns problemas aparecem conforme o jogo avança. O combate é simples e funcional (não vejo problema nisso), mas deixa o jogo repetitivo depois de várias runs. Além de que esse tipo de jogo depende bastante de RNG.

[b]No geral eu gostei[/b], mesmo sendo simples nas mecânicas. O que [b]realmente me incomodou[/b] foi o posicionamento da câmera. Em momentos com muitos inimigos na tela, principalmente quando o jogo começa a fazer muito spam de inimigos, fica difícil enxergar bem o que está acontecendo e o combate acaba virando um caos.

Ainda assim, considero um jogo ok e recomendo para quem gosta da mistura de cartas com ação. No meu caso, foi um daqueles jogos que zerei, mas não senti vontade de continuar para buscar o 100%.

„Hand of Fate“ vom Studio Defiant Development ist 2015 erschienen und mischt Roguelike, Deckbuilding und Action-Combat zu einem ziemlich eigenen Vibe. Man sitzt einem mysteriösen Geber gegenüber, der das Abenteuer wie ein düsteres Pen-&-Paper aufzieht - nur dass jede Karte dein Schicksal bestimmt. Das Game ist weder reines Kartenspiel noch klassisches Action-RPG, sondern irgendwas dazwischen. Und genau das macht es spannend. Ich bin damals rein, weil ich Deckbuilder liebe - geblieben bin ich wegen der Atmosphäre.

[h1]📖 Handlung / Story[/h1]
Die Story ist minimalistisch, aber effektiv. Man sitzt einem namenlosen Geber gegenüber, der wie eine Mischung aus Dungeon Master und sadistischem Tarotkartenleger wirkt. Jede Mission ist eine Herausforderung aus seinem „Deck“, und mit jedem besiegten Boss kommt man dem Kern des Spiels näher. Große Cutscenes oder tief ausgearbeitete Lore gibt es nicht - stattdessen lebt alles von der Inszenierung, der Stimme des Dealers und dem Gefühl, Teil eines perfiden Spiels zu sein. Das hat für mich überraschend gut funktioniert, weil die Erzählung sehr subtil und mysteriös bleibt.

[h1]🎮 Gameplay[/h1]
Das Herzstück ist das Kartendeck. Vor jeder Runde baut man sein eigenes Abenteuer-Deck zusammen - Begegnungen und Ausrüstung - in der Regel jeweils 32 Karten (Im Schwierigkeitsgrad „Kriegsherr“ sind es 42 Karten). Im weiteren Spielverlauf kommen Flüche und Segen Segen hinzu. Auf dem Spielbrett werden diese Karten zufällig ausgelegt, wodurch jede Runde anders läuft. Jeder Zug kostet auch eine Einheit Ration. Hat man keine Rationen mehr, verliert man mit jedem Zug Lebenspunkte. Man landet immer auf einer der ausgewählten bzw. der im Storyabschnitt hinzugefügten Begegnungskarte. Dann folgt ein Kampf, eine Entscheidung (z. B. „Möchtest du die Würste durchqueren?“, „Hilfst du dem Händler“ oder „Kämpfst du gegen das Diebesgesindel?“) oder man hat die Möglichkeit etwas bei den zahlreichen Händlern zu kaufen oder man erhält Ausrüstungsgegenstände oder Segen / Flüche o. ä. Die Begegnungskarten sind in der Regel mit einem Glücksspiel verbunden, in welchem man von 4 Karten ([Enormer] Fehlschlag, [Enormer] Erfolg) eine auswählt - diese Karten werden gemischt, wenn der Geber das langsam macht, kann man nachverfolgen wo welche Karten liegen; bei schnellerem Mischen ist es reine Glückssache. Aber auch hier kann man durch bestimmte Segen oder Ausrüstungsgegenstände Einfluss nehmen. Wechselt das Spiel in den Kampf, fühlt es sich wie ein vereinfachtes Action-RPG an: Ausweichen, Kontern, Timing - das sitzt, wenn man den Dreh raus hat. Es gibt wenige Standardgegner (Menschen, Echsen, Skelette, Ratten), einige stärkere Gegner (Lavagolems und Todlose) und Bossgegner. Die fights können im Verlauf des Spiels (insbesondere im Endlos-Modus) knackig werden; besonders dann, wenn man kein Kartenglück hatte und der Geber einem immer wieder neue Steine in den Weg legt. Ich bin mehrfach gescheitert, weil ich mein Deck nicht clever genug gebaut hatte oder auch einfach nur Pech hatte. Planung ist enorm wichtig.

[h1]🎛️ Steuerung[/h1]
Mit Controller spielt es sich am rundesten. Maus und Tastatur gehen klar, aber das Kampfsystem fühlt sich mit Gamepad einfach natürlicher an. Die Kartensteuerung ist simpel gehalten, übersichtlich und intuitiv. Keine überladene UI, keine unnötigen Menüs - angenehm reduziert.

[h1]💀 Schwierigkeit[/h1]
Das Game kann schon pain sein. Roguelike-typisch heißt ein Fehler oft: Run vorbei. Vor allem später werden die Bosse fies, wenn das eigene Deck schlecht ausbalanciert ist und / oder Fortuna einem nicht hold ist. Gleichzeitig fühlt sich jeder Sieg richtig belohnend an. Mir hat es viel Spaß gemacht neue Karten in meinem Deck aufzunehmen und sie direkt beim nächsten run auszuprobieren.

[h1]🎨 Grafik[/h1]
Optisch ist alles sehr stilisiert. Das Brettspiel-Setting mit dunklem Hintergrund, flackernden Kerzen und schwebenden Karten hat richtig Atmosphäre. Die Charaktermodelle sind okay, aber kein Grafik-Highlight. Trotzdem: Das Gesamtbild wirkt stimmig und hat einen klaren Stil. Für ein Indie-Game absolut solide.

[h1]🎧 Sound / Bildschirmtexte[/h1]
Die englische Vertonung des Gebers ist ein Highlight. Ruhig, bedrohlich, fast schon hypnotisch. Der Geber meldet sich auch zu Ort, wenn man ein paar Sekunden mal keine Eingabe macht; fand ich richtig atmosphärisch. Musik und Soundeffekte bleiben dezent im Hintergrund, unterstützen aber die düstere Stimmung. Die deutschen Bildschirmtexte sind gut übersetzt.

[h1]🛠️ Technik / Bugs[/h1]
Bei mir lief es stabil, keine Crashes, keine Gamebreaking Bugs. Ladezeiten sind kurz. Für ein Indie-Projekt technisch echt sauber umgesetzt.

[h1]🔄 Grind[/h1]
Man schaltet nach und nach neue Karten frei, die dem Deck hinzugefügt werden können. Das fühlt sich nicht nach stumpfem Farming an, sondern eher nach natürlichem Progress. Trotzdem: Wer alles sehen will, muss einige Runs investieren - und manche von ihnen (besonders aus dem DLC Wildcards) sind besonders herausfordernd.

[h1]⏳ Spielzeit / Umfang[/h1]
Für einen Durchlauf braucht man je nach Skill ca. 30 Minuten bis 2 Stunden Stunden. Wer alle Bosse legen und möglichst viele Karten freischalten will, sitzt deutlich länger dran. Es ist kein 100-Stunden-Monster, aber für das Konzept absolut fair vom Umfang. Wer alle Achievements erreichen möchte, kann mehr als 70 Stunden investieren. Ich habe für alles ca. 74 Stunden gebraucht - hatte stellenweise aber auch sehr viel Glück.

[h1]🏆 Errungenschaften / Achievements[/h1]
Die Achievements haben es schon in sich, wirkliche Selbstläufer sind die alle nicht. Viele sind an eine bestimmte Kartenkombi (z. B. „Lege alle Magier-Gegenstände gleichzeitig an“) oder an spezielle Run-Bedingungen gebunden. Zudem gibt es noch Kampf-Errungenschaften (z. B. „Tritt zu einem Kampf, obwohl du weniger als 5 Gesundheit hast“) und Errungenschaften, bei denen man nach und nach alle Begegnungen bestimmter Run-Konditionen abschließen muss (z. B. „Schließe alle Begegnungen des Fluchs des Löwenprinzen ab“). Um alle Achievements zu erhalten, muss man zwingend das DLC „Wildcards“ kaufen. Vieles basiert auf Glück; manche mehr, andere weniger. Manchmal kann man sein Deck ein bisschen auf Errungenschaft X modifizieren. Richtig genervt haben mich die Errungenschaften der Run-Konditionen „Eiserner Hunger“ und „Metallmogul“; da braucht man echt viel Glück, welches ich nach einigen Runs dann auch hatte 😊.

[h1]💚 Fazit[/h1]
„Hand of Fate“ ist ein ungewöhnlicher Genre-Mix, der nicht perfekt ist, aber extrem viel Charme hat. Die Verbindung aus Deckbuilding, Zufall und Action-Combat funktioniert besser, als man denkt. Wer Roguelikes mag und kein Problem mit wiederholten Runs hat, bekommt hier ein atmosphärisches, cleveres Indie-Game mit eigenem Stil. Für mich hatte es definitiv Suchtpotenzial; das Gefühl von „Einen run mach ich noch eben…“ hatte ich oft.

It has the best of a deckbuilding game and RPG. It's not about to only be good in fighting, you also have to make good decisions in between. Managing your food properly can decide whether you win a chapter or die. You can die from bad decisions. Nicely layered game. I highly recommend.

If you’re looking for a roguelike that actually feels different, Hand of Fate is something special.

From the very first encounter, the game’s concept hooks you. A deck-building adventure where every card you flip shapes the journey ahead, encounters, gear, enemies, even the layout of your path, it creates a gameplay loop that’s both strategic and intensely personal. You’re not just grinding runs; you’re building them. Every success or failure feels like the result of the deck you constructed and the risks you chose to take.

What truly elevates the experience, though, is the atmosphere. Sitting across the table from the Dealer gives the entire game a theatrical, almost intimate tension. And Antony Skordi’s performance as the Dealer is phenomenal. His voice work adds weight, menace, and personality to every line, transforming what could have been a simple framing device into one of the most memorable presences in any roguelike. He doesn’t just narrate your journey, he judges it.

Combat carries a satisfying Arkham-style rhythm, while the card mechanics constantly reshape the adventure layer. It’s a clever fusion that somehow works beautifully. Few roguelikes manage to blend mechanics and storytelling this seamlessly.

To this day, it remains one of the most unique roguelikes I’ve played.

Одна из лучших игр в которые я играл.
Плюсы: Озвучка голосом, озвучка музыкой, куча квестов рандомных, крутой интересный лут.
Минусы: корявая анимация боя, сома боёвка тоже очень кривая, русский шрифт ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (пришлось идти на английский ибо я знаю его, но я единичный случай).

I always enjoy my time with this game, coming back year after year.

Being trapped in an endless cycle of death and discovery, you are trying to delve deeper into an adventure which is being presented through encounter cards.
I really like the atmosphere and fluid animations. The sounds and music draw you in immediately and give you the motivation to always turn over one more card. The cards` design is incredibly pretty and leaves me with a hunger for finding and collecting all the different encounters.
Lastly, the combat can be a bit overwhelming while having a simple button system, but that is part of the challenge.

Over all, I love this game and wish more people would check it out over time.
I haven't played the sequel yet.

В целом игра лучше некоторых, но некоторые моменты в игре слишком плохие, чтобы их игнорировать.

Самое плохое в этой игре - боевка, а в частности уебанская камера и приклеивание к НЕНУЖНЫМ (другим) врагам, которые могут стоять за или левее/правее противника, которого ты уже бьешь.
Из-за хуевой камеры ты не можешь нормально оценить обстановку вокруг себя и насколько далеко от тебя будет очередное АОЕ противника или достанет ли тебя тычка-тычка.

Плюсы - хороший дизайн карт и интересные микросюжетки и цепочки квестов.

В общем, наверное, не советую проходить на этой сложности или не играть в первую часть. (трата нервов и времени). Говорят, там стало лучше (я пока не проверял)
Если бы я не нашел способ сейвскамить удачу и "возможность не умереть", я бы скорее всего дропнул или не проходил никакие побочки, чисто спидранил.

Things I like:
- Very strong narrative flow with the voice actor, the writing, the theme, and the animations / sound design. Playing the game with the narrator is a treat.
- The UI is nice, comfortable with a controller in particular, and the deck customisation is good.
- There are quite a few assets such that runs don't get too boring.

Things I didn't like:
- The combat is very similar to the Batman: Arkham series, and so you have the basic flow of COUNTER, DODGE, ATTACK, with some special units thrown in that try to add variety and force you to do different things. For those who've played the Arkham games, the downside of this system is that while it does work, it still can be quite "button mashy" and thus repetitive. That being said, I would still prefer it over the dice combat from The Warlock of Firetop Mountain but this is probably personal preference.
- Not all strategies are equal. I'm sure if I played longer I'd know more patterns, but so far the AOE weapons are always superior because they can clear out enemies more quickly, and food and gold always trump health because you can just get an auto-heal item.
- Although there are many assets, these assets are still re-used, and lizards vs ratmen vs bandits is really not all that different. Even bosses are re-used in later stages, so repetition can appear if you play the game too much.

TLDR;
A good card game, better than The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. Presentation with the voice actor is what makes the game shine. Worth playing once, and then getting some replayability out of the deck customisation and higher difficulties, but expect diminishing returns versus your first playthrough. Better to come back after a year or so and play it again, rather than do an immediate playthrough after you've beaten your first one.

Simple concept but fun and challenging.

The narrator and design shine through what would be repetitive gameplay and the only issue I had is I'm too bad to beat the final boss.

А тут их комбинация! Вот только это такая комбинация, которая берёт не те части и делает с ними не то. Как русалка с верхом рыбы и человечьим низом. Или кентавр с торсом лошади и задом человека. А то и вовсе из двух задов, состыкованных друг с другом. Карточки, которые ты не разыгрываешь цепочками эффектов, а скорее “сами играют себя за кадром”. И потасовки, где ты не чувствуешь себя “сильным”, потому что к умению нажимать кнопочки и оценивать ситуацию, ещё добавлены те самые карточки, которые это то всё ограничивают, то нивелируют. Но за неожиданную интерпретацию всё равно лойс.

[i]Hand of Fate[/i] is less than the sum of its parts. In fact, it might have the widest gap of any game I’ve played between the expected quality of the sum of its parts and its actual quality. It’s a roguelike deck-builder, but rather than being one more instance of a famously overdone genre, it’s actually one of the genre’s progenitors, predating [i]Slay the Spire[/i] by two years. But even without that knowledge, it’s a remarkably original game. Unusually, players maintain [i]two[/i] decks: one for the protagonist’s potential equipment, and one for the events and locations that can transpire during a run. Upon successful completion, many encounter cards will unlock not only new equipment cards but new encounters that directly follow the first, integrating side quests into the main campaign via the deck itself. And then, of course, there’s the significant fact that combat encounters play out using the mechanics of [i]Batman: Arkham Asylum[/i].

It sounds like a terrific combination, but the ways in which the pieces are combined (and in some cases, not combined) leave a lot to be desired. The “overworld” put together from drawn encounter cards is chance-based to a perplexing degree. There’s the randomness expected of a deck-builder, but then nearly every card generates at least one luck-of-the-draw moment on top of that. This half of the game is most akin to interactive fiction along the lines of [i]Sorcery![/i] or [i]80 Days[/i]. Keeping in mind that the unpredictable nature of those games was already arguably their biggest flaw, they still mostly got away with it because their minimal gameplay simply couldn’t support much else. [i]Hand of Fate[/i], in contrast, has a fully-fledged action RPG component that it just ignores for non-combat events. So no matter how powerful and experienced you become, your character can always die from things like failing to swim across a river because you picked heads instead of tails.

Another thing that [i]Hand of Fate[/i] doesn’t understand about interactive fiction is that it ideally features an interesting setting and a fleshed-out story. The nature of the protagonist, the dealer, and the card game they’re playing is the core mystery in [i]Hand of Fate[/i]. It very conspicuously calls attention to this and then equally conspicuously never addresses any of it, leaving behind only the most by-the-numbers fantasy tale. The action gameplay is at least more serviceable. It would be exceedingly difficult to make a bad example of [i]Arkham Asylum[/i] combat, so while this version does feel less impactful and polished than its inspiration, it still attains the all-important sense of flow and has enough depth to remain consistently engaging. Lack of camera control is a regular annoyance, but its largest issue is the inverse of the overworld’s largest issue: if you’re good enough at it, nothing you did in the overworld will even matter. Testing for both luck and skill is reasonable, but having them constantly nullify each other is distinctly unsatisfying.

Hande of Fate - это смесь рогалика, текстового квеста и freeflow боёвки. В целом, вся игра разделена на отдельные партии, а каждая партия представляет собой ряд данжей, комнаты которых - это карты встреч с разными мини-историями. Попадая на такую карту, вам, в виде текста, рассказывают её сюжет и предлагают по разному отреагировать на происходящие там события. Выбрали хорошо - получите ресурсы, снарягу или даже жетон, который потом разблокирует новые карты для будущих партий. Выбрали плохо - получите проклятья, битву или потерю ресурсов вкупе с насмешкой дилера, который является символом игры и приносит в неё красок благодаря своим остроумным комментариям и живым эмоциям.

[h2]Создание колоды[/h2]

Расскажу немного подробнее о карточной стороне игры. Перед началом приключения вы выбираете босса, против которого будете драться в конце данжа. Главная цель игры - убить всех боссов и тем самым одолеть дилера. После выбора своего главгада, вам предлагают составить колоды снаряжения и встреч, с которыми вы столкнётесь в партии. В игре нет фильтров карт, а их описание сделано исключительно в виде текста, который ещё надо раскрыть и посмотреть небыстрые анимации приближения и отдаления. Учитывая также, что карты в игре исчисляются десятками, ручное создание колоды - задача непростая и немного раздражающая, а потому игра предлагает нажать волшебную кнопку, чтобы всё было собрано за вас, за что, конечно, спасибо, но декбилдинг от этого лучше не становится. Однако сами карты здесь получились разнообразными и интересными, отчего возникает желание попробовать все виды оружия из-за их уникальных абилок и свойств и изучить каждую встречу, где вы и от ловушек попрыгаете, и в пустыне заблудитесь, и на легендарного кракена поохотитесь, и ещё много чего переживёте.

[h2]Исследование данжа[/h2]

Кстати о переживаниях. После подготовки колоды вы заходите в данж и начинаете исследовать его с целью подготовиться к финальной битве. Ограниченные запасы еды, затрачиваемой на перемещение между комнатами, и уникальные карты встреч босса (которые обычно вредят, а не помогают) заставляют задуматься дважды над тем, стоит ли сворачивать с пути или лучше как можно быстрее покинуть этаж, пока не стало хуже. Про сами карты встреч я уже говорил, разве что стоит ещё упомянуть мини-игру с четырьмя картами, которые перемешиваются, и вам надо запомнить, какая из них "удача", а какая "невезение", чтобы выбрать нужную. Некоторым такой рандом не зайдёт, но я считаю капельку случайности во встречах приятным разнообразием, благо, будучи внимательным, можно отследить перемещение карт, да и благословения с особыми предметами вам в помощь.

[h2]Боёвка[/h2]

Если во время приключения вы сталкиваетесь с врагами, то игра переносит вас на небольшую арену, где вы избиваете врагов в стиле бэтмена: бьёте на одну кнопку, контрите на другую, набиваете комбо и используете всякие гаджеты. В отличие от того же бэтмена, враги одного вида (например, только скелеты или только бандиты) могут бить вас исключительно по одному, и никаких двойных или тройных контратак тут нет. Анимации ощущаются рвано, и нет чувства потока в битве. Сглаживают углы кайфовая музыка, которую мне порой хотелось послушать в отрыве от игры, и разнообразие предметов и пассивных бафов/дебафов. К примеру, проклятия могут начать штрафовать вас за контратаки или сделать последнего живого врага неуязвимым к оглушению, а благословения способны обрушить на противника молнию или сделать вас быстрым как ветер. Добавим к этому в меру богатое разнообразие рас и типов врагов и получим не идеальную, но в целом приятную боёвку, которой не помешает полировка.

[h2]Вывод[/h2]

Подводя итоги, хочу обратить внимание на два важных момента: 1 - это только первая часть из двух, а потому её можно считать этаким первым Portal, т.е. прототипом потенциально отличной игры, которая уже существует в лице второй части, где разработчики поработали над декбилдингом, боёвкой, уникальностью каждого приключения и т.д.. 2 - стоит это творение 419 рублей, что смягчает мои претензии. Поэтому, если вы желаете получить крутой рогалик с приятной боёвкой и интересными квестами (и вас не смущает их текстовое оформление), то лучше купите вторую часть, которая на две головы лучше первой и стоит всего на 96 рублей дороже. Однако, если вы готовы мириться с шероховатостями, мною выше озвученными, и просто хотите поиграть в интересный рогалик - берите даже без скидок, я считаю, что игра этого заслуживает.

毕竟都过去这么多年了，游戏各方面跟不上现代是能理解的。但是感觉设计上就玩的不开心。动作和卡牌策略结合起来真的感觉没有让人爽的感觉。更别提战斗系统很抽象了。如果全程都是卡牌上进行选择，其实还是挺让人感兴趣的。每次失败大失败就要去打一点意思都没有的战斗真的让人提不起一点兴趣。玩不下去一点。

Full disclosure - I enjoyed this game so much I ended up buying the Hand of Fate: Ordeals board game.

Phenomenal narration, beautiful card art, and incredibly thematic music make this game a treat to play. The Dealer is the glue that holds this game together - for though he is a foe, he is not unsympathetic and is quite likable. The combat is engaging and gets quite difficult as you go further in.

The big appeal of this game is the unlocks system. As you conquer challenges, the dealer will offer you tokens that give you new cards for each subsequent challenge. These range from things that you couldn't fail to unlock if you tried all the way to real nail biters that will take many runs to master.

The only real issue this game has is the camera can be a bit restrictive in certain stages and can make identifying some off screen attacks or traps difficult, but that's not a deal breaker. The presentation this game offers is quite grand - give it a try for the novelty and experience, if nothing else.

Игре уже 10 лет. Куплена давным давно, но руки дошли только сейчас.
И что можно сказать об игре - это отличный карточный рогалик.
Что же он представляет из себя:

Перед началом забега вы выбираете 2 колоды карт: одна - это карты снаряжения, такие как шлем, броня, кольца, оружие и щиты; вторая - карты событий: лавки торговцев, каждая со своими особенностями и товарами; карты врагов и карты событий.
Карты событий предлагают вам сделать выбор в той или иной ситуации, и в зависимости от вашего выбора будет определена награда, но в некоторых случаях нужно сыграть в игру - угадай карту: выбрать одну из 4 карт, с положительным номиналом.
Есть плохая карта - лишающая вас награды; очень плохая - накладывающая дебаф; хорошая - дающая награду; и в карточках с квестами, очень хорошая - дающая особую награду, либо несколько наград.
Квестовые карточки помечены фишками внизу карты - как только будут выполнены нужные условия при обнаружении этой карточки, дилер выдаст вам жетон. Все полученные жетоны будут вскрыты как лутбоксы по завершению забега, вне зависимости - успешным или нет был забег. Наградой в жетонах служат новые карточки расширяющие набор карточек - снаряжения, событий, и карточки расширяющие/продолжающие квесты.
Если вы попали на карточку с врагами, или в карточки событий наткнулись на врагов - вы переноситесь на арену с врагами, где с довольно простенькой боевой системой вам нужно убить врагов. Боевая система представлена - простым ударом, ударом щитом/пинком, парированием щитом, и использованием заклинания если у вас у персонажа есть такая карточка.
Врагов можно разделить на 5 фракций: люди, крысо-люди, ящеро-люди, нежить, и другое(големы, минотавры и возможно ктото ещё).
В сюжетных миссия есть "уникальные" боссы в конце забега, которого вам нужно победить, чтобы открыть новое сюжетное задание. В каждой сюжетной миссии есть свои дебафы на забег, которые заставляют продумывать передвижения в забеге - взять больше карт врагов, или карточек событий дающих бонусы, и т.п. На забег также влияет и выбранный герой - каждый герой с своими особенностями и своей особой квестовыми картами.
Выбрав колоды, начинаем забег стремясь убить босса в конце, по пути собирая золото для покупки карт заклинаний, снаряжения или провизии. Провизия является вторым ресурсом который имеет ключевую важность - каждый ход от карты к карте расходует провизию, а так же нужен для завершения некоторых из событий или квестов. Провизию можно найти, или купить у торговых палатках. Если же провизия заканчивается, то каждый ход героя тратит 10 единиц здоровья. Как здоровье опустится до нуля - персонаж умирает, забег заканчивается.

Копатся в колодах, выполнять квесты, проходить события - довольно интересно и увлекательно. И один ваш выбор может как поспособствовать в завершении забега, так и перевернуть забег с ног на голову, заставляя вас искать решение для успешного завершения забега.

Итоговое мнение: Игра не смотря на свою простоту весьма стильная и увлекательная. Думаю с игрой стоит познакомится всем - как минимум для расширения игрового кругозора. Благо игра стоит весьма скромно по нынешним временам, и имеет весьма хороший коэффициент в соотношении цены к игровому времени. Если есть сомнения - можно подождать скидок на распродажах.
А вот если игра зайдёт, то есть и вторая часть, с которой я планирую ознакомится как только закончу с этой частью.

全武器全道具解锁，卡牌也都解锁了，这游戏我真知道脸黑是SL大法救不回来的，SL大法N次也没选对，DLC令牌和人物卡牌纯查攻略，真的折磨（特指食铁者人物）那是人能打出来的吗？？100哥铁刷了三四个小时，还有成就是300个铁？诗人？游戏后期都成魂游了，动不动就是遭遇战，负面buff多于正面，血量是不够扣的，食物是不够吃的，钱是不够花的，选牌是大失败的，诅咒是大于祝福的，感觉就纯折磨（去掉感觉）
游戏性还说得过去，口述的剧情加上各种事件，可玩性还是非常高的，通关之后无尽模式也没什么新意，就是前面所有的卡牌和事件集合

机制设计挺有新意，不过战斗设计真的太垃圾了，固定视角蠢得一b，战斗手感肉得不行，后摇巨长，后期基本都是多动症群怪，经常碰到多个怪同时攻击的场景，根本没法应对。
移动的操作精度也很烂，也无法原地转身，碰到迷宫机关关卡就是吃屎。
最傻逼的是建模碰撞会把敌人推着走，举例来说，蜥蜴被反击后会接一次无法反击的攻击，于是无数次我反击后跳走，蜥蜴也一边蓄力一边跟着我平移，然后给我一刀。
场地设计也很垃圾，动不动就满地陷阱，反击时还会自动谜之走位，几次眼睁睁看着主角走到陷阱上。要么就是场地狭小，尤其是《试炼》，tmd面对无法反击的一翻滚就出场地踩陷阱，恶心得要死；以及解锁后的牛头怪，tmd场地丁点大，牛头怪攻击范围又广，攻击还几乎无间隔，玩个jb

Покупаешь игру на распродаже и понимаешь какой же это инди бриллиант! Игра смогла меня завлечь. Смесь карточной игры и боевки в реальном времени, что то с чем то, не дает тебе заскучать. Роглайк система открытия предысторий и развития карт, также понравилась. Рекомендую попробовать, со скидкой так обязательна для ознакомления!

Well done and unique game. Takes loads of strategy. It got tedious by the end so any storylines I didn't finish were not my problem anymore. The final boss feels impossible but I recommend the Ring of Justice, The Mask of Extortion, The [spoiler]hammer[/spoiler] you get from The Holy Forge with the Iron Ore, and the Time Distortion power. That was a winning combo, didn't have to "savescum". Remembering how each enemy type works, especially the special ones, is imperative! Ending is lukewarm. Worth a play!

Одна карта — засідка гоблінів, інша — зустріч з мандрівним торговцем, третя — проклятий лабіринт, що висмоктує ваше здоров'я. Ви робите хід, карта перевертається... і гра раптово перетворюється на арену, де вам доводиться відбиватися від ворогів у реальному часі.

⚔️Hand of Fate — це унікальний коктейль з карткової гри, рольової гри та екшену в стилі (удар, перекат, контрудар). І цей коктейль вдаряє в голову, як міцний ель у придорожній таверні.

⚔️ Роздавач — зірка цього шоу. Забудьте про безликих оповідачів. Цей хлопець — справжня знахідка. Він тасує вашу долю з саркастичною посмішкою, коментує ваші успіхи з ледь прихованим розчаруванням і радіє вашим поразкам, як дитина.

⚔️Змішати неквапливе просування по карті, де кожен крок — це ваш вибір, з динамічними боями — це було ризиковано, але воно того варте. Це створює неймовірний контраст і не дає занудьгувати. Щойно ви розслабились, читаючи чергову історію на карті, як вас уже кидають на арену проти трьох мінотаврів.

⚔️Азарт і реіграбельність. Ви самі збираєте колоду пригод і спорядження. Які зустрічі ви хочете бачити? Яку зброю мрієте знайти? Кожна партія унікальна, бо карти завжди лягають по-різному. А коли Роздавач пропонує вам зіграти в "вгадай карту" (шанс/провал), ви відчуваєте справжній азарт, ризикуючи втратити все або отримати легендарний артефакт.
Рандом може бути жорстоким. Іноді Роздавач просто не в гуморі. Вам може катастрофічно не щастити з картами, і ви будете раз за разом програвати не через брак навичок, а просто тому, що "карти так лягли". Це може викликати неабияке роздратування, особливо в боях з босами.

⚔️Вердикт
Hand of Fate — це гра-самородок. Вона неідеальна, місцями трохи кривувата, але неймовірно атмосферна та оригінальна. Це гра для тих, хто втомився від стандартних жанрів і хоче спробувати щось свіже. Вона винагороджує за терпіння і карає за поспішність.

Choice-heavy game. Once you get the hang of the combat mechanics (similar to the Batman Arkham games) you won't find it difficult anymore.. except for the final challenge which is honestly too much..

好玩，卡牌形式的探索肉鸽，战斗像过qte，手感一般但不是特别难。第一次打开被中配吓一跳，发牌人碎嘴听久了挺喜欢的，但是能不能别老催我探险家买食物。收集令牌很有成就感，哪怕因为一直握鼠标手累了，打boss失败挫败了，关一会游戏待会也会回来继续玩[spoiler]这么快就回来了？老哥！稳！[/spoiler]

Hand of Fate has arena combat in the style of Batman: Arkham Asylum, but with encounters connected by a card map into roguelite adventures like in Guild of Dungeoneering. Letting you build the deck of encounters for each run and clearly marking which encounters still have progress remaining is cool mechanic. However, I found neither the encounters nor the combat were good enough to keep going past the halfway point of the game.

Hand of Fate is a great tabletop RPG experience with an immersive experience. Each run is unique (when the GM doesn't mess with us!), and it's great that each card triggers different minigames, like 3-person battles and even boss fights!

You truly feel like you're in an RPG, and it's everything every tabletop RPG player could want!

I had a blast with this game.

It can become pretty difficult to complete but I would say by the end it tests your knowledge, deck-building, and combat reflexes with a bit of luck.

A few criticisms the camera can sometimes suck and you can't control it. Also some encounters need way too many successful dice rolls to complete or very specific combinations of failure and success. This can make it very time consuming to complete specific encounters.

游戏很有趣，只不过最后一关千万不要使用推荐卡组，自己搭配会很好赢，我最后使用的是鼠刀蜥蜴帽骷髅盾加正义戒指诅咒手套过的，过程中用贫穷戒指叠血量，达到了186才打赢，那三蜥蜴真的非常非常肉，神器带个加伤的就可以啦！非常好的游戏，还很便宜！

Fun adventure roguelike that uses cards to determine encounters and luck games. With a brilliant main voice actor and loads of short mini story encounters. The combat is simple but never really got boring. although, if RNG is not your thing, this game might frustrate you with its progression based on beating encounters, lots of time using luck.

the challenge is whether or not RNGesus looks favorably upon you. and even then the final boss is impossible the boss and minions have near infinite health and you can only attack once every 5 minutes so you have to waste so much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time playing the horribly simplistic combat system

Fine way to waste a few hours but the gameplay isn't really there. Zero challenge at all until the final game, where the RNG is stacked so high against you it's a bit frustrating. Combat is kind of silly, though I appreciate the attempt at something unique.

This a very good one-shot game, if you enjoy an immersive, fourth-wall-breaking deck builder with a big parts of fantasy combat elements. It also has some puzzles in it. The dialogues (on encounter cards) are not tediously long to read.

You build a deck consisting of encounters and equipment, you play the deck. The story and sub-stories of single cards progress as you visit those cards. The RNG is very strong with this, as it should. You can get incredible runs (within your available/unlocked card's limits) or you can have the worst runs and encounter big bosses on the first dice roll without any gear. But you can always restart a run without punishments. In extreme cases your only punishment will be some time waste because of bad luck RNG, which is bearable.

Towards the end, the game can get a bit grindy if you're after all unlocks and achievements, but honestly it's kind of not worth it. Still a great game, enjoyed every bit of it! Took around 140h to fully get all achievements.

Hand of Fate 2 is equally great and better in some aspects. I'd recommend HoF1 then HoF2 though, because of the QoL and other Improvements you'll be missing if you play the wrong order.

J"avais joué au tout début à ce jeu et je vais l'avouer, je n'étais pas bon et même en me mettant en mode facile, je n'y arrivais plus. Le boss final était pour moi impossible à finir.

Aujourd'hui j'ai décidé de m'y remettre en me disant que je pouvais bien lui donner une seconde et j'ai joué à des jeux bien plus difficile depuis.

Résultat : une caméra et un système de combat pas terrible, des évenements impossible à passer même après plusieurs essaies et le boss n'est toujours pas vaincu.
Je ne peux pas dire que le jeu soit mauvais.... mais ce n'est pas non plus moi qui suis nul...

From the first moments to the last, every play session I have is steeped in top-notch atmosphere. I'm not the best player of the action parts, but the game difficulty on easy is tuned to not be such a challenge. The whole journey of the game means you feel like you're in one of those fantasy or mythological epics, battling a mighty foe.

This has been one of my favorite games that is super lowkey, it's extremely disappointing that people experiencing the challenge automatically negative review bomb so I decided to come and offset it a little and speak about the merits and drawbacks of the game.

Pros:
Sound track is beyond amazing - Jeff van dyck (composer of Shogun 2 and Rome total wars) comes out heavy and you feel completely immersed in the game from the jump. I still listen to it from time to time when I go on a walk or drive
Story - the narration and writing of the Dealer makes him such an incredible antagonist, from his little snarky sarcastic comments all the way to his demeanor, you really do feel like the game is something you're invested in because of how well the writing is done.
Combat - Very straight forward and I love that the unique thing about this game is that you actually go in and combat/play out traps and other events. This can make your run very smooth if you're calculated or, I guess for some people, unbearable to play. To me? I prefer this, it offers a lot more control and there are cards that allow you to have a smoother time overall so the complaints are not warranted.

Cons: If you can call it a con.
Replayability - Once you have ran through the game a couple of times, the flare and diversity isn't too much there, I think this is an intentional design for a linear storied experience as opposed to have 20 variations of difficulty for the game but someone might be bummed out by this (Look at the hours I put in, I feel like it's worth the amount)

All in all - try the game out, I really loved it.

The game is like a rogue-lite Inscryption without a fixed plot where the board is built by cards you draw instead of being fixed. It's an interesting gimmick overall. Combat and the game in general is somewhat repetitive and the game is overall too dependent upon luck. If you botch a few encounters you just lose and if you succeed a few encounters you just win. When you get to the final level you'll be ready for it to be over. Buy it on sale ;p.

The first installment in the series is smaller in scope than HoF2, but in essence, it's almost as good as its successor. The combat system is a janky mess, though. If you played HoF2 first and want more, I can recommend this. Otherwise, go straight to the second game.
