Jogo ruim e sem graça

As a heads up, this game will work in VR. Use the UEVR tool and it really brings new life to this game.
This was not worth my 4 quarters that i spent on this game. Would not recommend for anyone who doesnt want to lose their ears.
One of the worst, the music was annoying. Gun sounds were way too loud and dino's were stupid. Not worth my $1
Solid game for a buck even if it is dead multiplayer wise since you can still play solo. I thought being able to switch between first-person, third-person, and top-down view was a pretty neat albeit unnecessary feature. Might not have been a world-wide hit but it is a fun friday night with the homies and some beers and/or blunts.
the first game is better
If want to play but don't have any friends to play, just add me.
fix ur game before do another game
I don't reccommend this game (even if it gets fixed) because the devs are pretty scummy.
good
Guardians of Orion (Phase 2) is a science fiction action-RPG and cooperative looter shooter that aims high with its concept and content. Developed and self-published by DANKIE, the game is the spiritual continuation of the ORION series and brings back its signature blend of fast-paced combat, futuristic settings, and dinosaur-slaying chaos. It’s a project filled with ambition, offering players multiple gameplay modes, extensive character customization, and a mix of PvE and sandbox elements. While it manages to create a distinct identity with its scope and visual flair, the experience is often marred by uneven execution and lingering technical roughness that undermines its best ideas.
At the center of the experience is the role of the “Guardian”—a heavily armed, ability-wielding character class that players can fully customize and upgrade through missions and collected loot. One of the game’s more unique features is its multi-perspective camera system, allowing players to switch between first-person, third-person, and even a top-down view on the fly. This offers a refreshing sense of flexibility in combat, with each perspective providing its own tactical advantages and flavor. The gunplay is responsive and explosive, complemented by jetpacks, deployable turrets, cloaking fields, and a variety of offensive abilities that can turn the tide of battle. Battles often pit players against hordes of robotic enemies and massive dinosaurs, leading to chaotic, high-energy encounters that are as absurd as they are entertaining.
Progression plays a major role in Guardians of Orion, with skill trees, loot rarity tiers, pets, crafting, and daily/weekly objectives all contributing to long-term player investment. There’s an abundance of content here for players who enjoy grinding for gear and tweaking builds. Unfortunately, the systems that support this depth often feel unintuitive or cumbersome. Inventory management is awkward, crafting can be frustratingly opaque, and the interface lacks the polish expected from modern action RPGs. Navigating menus often feels like an uphill battle, especially for new players who are given minimal in-game guidance on how to make sense of the game’s many mechanics. The core loop of earning loot, improving stats, and repeating missions remains solid, but the surrounding infrastructure doesn’t always support it as smoothly as it should.
The game’s presentation is a mixed bag. Visually, it has a distinctive low-poly, stylized aesthetic that suits its fast, arcade-like gameplay. The environments are colorful and diverse, ranging from alien jungles to sci-fi industrial complexes. Weapon effects are satisfying, enemies are varied, and the sheer spectacle of fighting giant dinosaurs with futuristic weapons carries an undeniable charm. Audio design, on the other hand, is serviceable but not especially remarkable. Weapons have decent impact, and the synth-heavy soundtrack fits the game’s futuristic theme, but there’s little that stands out as memorable or immersive. Voice acting is minimal or absent, and sound effects can sometimes feel repetitive during longer play sessions.
One of the more impressive aspects of Phase 2 is the technical overhaul that was carried out since its original release. The developers replaced legacy server systems with a new player-hosted multiplayer model, drastically reduced load times, and improved general optimization. Performance is considerably better now compared to its earlier iterations, and these backend changes allow for smoother online sessions—though some connectivity hiccups still remain. The ability to play offline or host private co-op games with friends adds valuable flexibility, but matchmaking for public games remains inconsistent, largely due to a small player base and limited support infrastructure.
Despite these improvements, there are still lingering issues that hold the game back. Enemy AI, while functional, often behaves erratically—ranged enemies may ignore cover, while larger enemies like T-Rexes can miss targets by throwing objects wildly off-course. Level design sometimes lacks direction, leading to moments of confusion or aimless wandering. There’s also a distinct lack of narrative context. Outside of mission objectives and scattered text, the world of Guardians of Orion never feels fully realized. Players are thrown into combat-heavy scenarios with little storytelling, making the overall experience feel more like an extended horde mode than a cohesive adventure.
Perhaps the most divisive aspect of the game is its monetization structure. While the base game is very affordable—frequently priced under a dollar—additional content is segmented into various “editions” that lock extra heroes and cosmetics behind a paywall. This has led to criticism from players who feel that the price of full access doesn’t match the value offered, especially considering the inconsistent quality and the game’s relatively obscure status in the marketplace. While the developer's pricing model may reflect the game’s indie origins, the lack of transparency and uniformity across editions can create confusion and frustration.
In the end, Guardians of Orion (Phase 2) is a game brimming with creativity and big ideas, but one that struggles under the weight of its own ambition. It’s a chaotic and fun shooter when everything is working well—full of over-the-top action, futuristic flair, and wild enemy encounters. But for every exciting firefight or successful loot drop, there’s often a frustrating menu, a clumsy system, or a technical hiccup that breaks immersion. Players who enjoy indie oddities, looter shooters, and science fiction worlds may find a lot to like here—especially in co-op—but patience and a willingness to overlook flaws are required.
It’s clear that Guardians of Orion is a passion project. The development team has poured a lot into building a flexible, feature-rich universe, and their ongoing updates reflect a commitment to the game’s longevity. Yet, even with years of updates and iteration, the game still feels like it’s in an experimental stage—more of a foundation for something bigger than a fully refined experience in its own right. For players willing to dig into its layers and embrace its imperfections, there is enjoyment to be found. But for those seeking a polished, tightly balanced shooter-RPG hybrid, this may be more of a curiosity than a mainstay.
Rating: 5/10

its worth 1 dollar indeed, fun with friends
can be difficult to play the game without crashing
How is the first one better than Phase 2.
Abandoned looooong ago, half-made game that never went out of early access.
Should be delisted.
Orion Prelude was great and I was looking forward to another fun slow-mo, dinosaur-head-popping, pizza-getting (if you played Prelude you'll get the reference) game but... yeah this isn't it. Development has seemingly halted completely.
On an amusing side note: I am only writing this review now because I noticed it in my library while I was waiting for something else to finish. Tee hee!
This is a dead game and it was dead when I bought it years and years ago. Devs have gotten up to some predatory stuff too. It's a shame, I probably paid a good $20 more than the game is now being asked for, too.
no hay nadie esta morio
yet another dinosaur shooter hell yea
don't remember this but it was probably worth $1
no
Guardians of Orion: Phase 2 - Успешный космический экшн.
a high mans dream gald it was cheap not even a worth being called game even free ones play better then this garbage
Arts lame, no actual progression since the multiplayer doesn't work. You can't complete the mission to get your ship so you can't get to the multiplayer to ACTUALLY play the game. Worth $0.99? Not at all. Do not buy this game unless you don't care to throw a whole dollar out the window that you could use to work towards getting a game that's ACTUALLY good like Titanfall 2 or Call of Duty Black Ops 2!
games dead otherwise fun
MEGA kall
This game is best experienced with the Pioneer Edition at the very least. A good while ago, I purchased the Elite Edition back when it was handled via the In Game Menu, as I was playing the game frequently at the time. The Elite Edition feels like purchasing the game in full and removes the Cash Shop from the experience all together which is an offer I wish every single game would make if they insist on having a cash shop in the first place.
This game is great fun to experience, for a while. The multiplayer lobbies are sparse these days, so I'd advise bringing your own play group if you intend to give it a try.
While I do recommend this game, I admit that it may lack longevity for you once you max out your preferred classes if you need that XP drip and or gear chase.
However, no other game has offered as seamless of a First person, to Third person, to Isometric experience. It's unfortunate that Isometric mode was eventually removed from the PVP modes.
I recommend Guardians of Orion for some for some simple fun, the novelty of playing in three perspectives, the ability to pay once to skip the cash shop, and dinos!
NAH!
Mrtvější a prázdnější hru nenajdete. :D A ani pohonit se tu nad ničím nedá. :o(((
I haven't played this game in years, but from what I can remember it's really fun!
I've played flash games with higher quality to be honest
Started as a top down twin stick shooter a decade ago and now it's just a shinier version (with worse gameplay) of Orion: Prelude. Doesn't seem like the devs have a clear vision of what they want the game to be. There's plenty of other wave based shooters that are actually a finished product.
Wow, I forgot this game existed. It's completely dead, and honestly, just go play Orion Prelude if you want some junk food multiplayer for dirt cheap. 2/10
The game is 0,99€ by default and has just gone on 10% sale so now it's 0,89€ making this game still not worth it because not only is it dead, it's also a bad game
Killed hundreds of enemies till wave 37 in survival mode and achievement for killing 100 enemies didn't pop-up. All achievements are broken. No players in servers. Game abandoned, don't buy it. I actually had it before, long time ago when it was released, and today I bought it again and it is still in such a bad shape in so many aspects. Very disappointing.
Has an achievement that requires you to play with a Dev, automatically a trash game just from that. but they you play for more than 10 minutes and realise that its a Demo you have to pay for and doesnt have a finished game.
i cant judge much but i prefer ORION: Prelude
both cheap and both dead but if you have friends to play with
you will get some fun .. remember i prefer the old one "ORION: Prelude"
From what I can tell this game had a ton of potential. The first hour of play was fun and promising, but then I quickly began to realize that I had already completed the entirety of content the game had to offer. At first glance, there are quests, spaceships, and much more.. but all that's actually there is the same mission over and over. There are some really cool features like being able to switch from FPS to Isometric view flawlessly on the fly. Severely disappointed, as it seemed so promising. This game could have been a diamond in the rough.
TL;DR - Has some cool concepts. Fun for one or two rounds. Dead game with no content or hope of development.
I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.
Thank you.
Game was pretty darn fun when it was active and being supported. Shady business practices and other issues killed this game. If you can go back in time, id say give it a whirl. Sadly its abandon ware. Do not purchase.
You shoot dinosaurs in waves alone because it's dead

It was good but I think I liked Prelude better. I do not think it is fair to judge a game based on how much you like a game company but instead on the quality of the game. People keep complaining that the company is an asset stealer but seriously that was resolved a long time ago and if you keep complaining on every game that they make that they are asset stealers even if that has nothing to do with the present it is going to give false information to the people like me who are reading the comments and make us think that Dankie has stolen assets in every game that they have produced which will make us think much more critically of all of their games. Also if you get a 1$ game and leave a bad review because it was a bad game you are so incredibly stupid. This is not a AAA game it cost 1$ what did you think you were going to get? Also if you hate the company so much and buy the game and dislike it whose fault was that?
Dead game. Shady monetization tactics. No dev support.
Another example of why people should be weary of early access games. The devs literally took peoples money and ran which is why they chucked the price down.
C'EST NUUUUUUULLLLLL !!!!!
the music is great, the game play is mid(im to dumb to find out how to finish a round lol)
and the game is dead
Repetitive as heck
Just dont buy
good game
its good for the price from what i played
You may find yourself asking, "Why is someone leaving a review for this game in 2023? I thought this game was dead." And let me tell you, you are 100% right. I haven't even touched this game since 2017, but I keep forgetting to remove it from my Steam library. This game has sat in my library like a festering wound, and you will find that the source of the infection is the developer. The game-play was stagnant, the servers don't exist anymore, the assets look stolen, and the whole thing is eerily similar to a much better game that released in early access in June of the same year.
Did I mention you can still pay $50 for the "Elite" edition of this game? That's right, you can't play online, and single player sucks, but for FIVE THOUSAND PERCENT MORE than the base game, you can have: A discount on items in the in-game store, more inventory space, "early access" to something that is already in the game, "access" to in-game characters that you could just get with the base game (it says future Guardians, but none are coming), and finally, you can have cosmetics. All for the price of $50.

FIrst one is better but its still great
This game is...frankly odd but I can't give it a thumbs down. You could do a lot worse for a game that costs just a dollar. Simple, easy to play, and easy to master; Guardians of Orion is all over the place with its upgrade systems and ways you can play it. A small amount of game modes does make this game tedious for some people wanting a lot of variety, but for people into wave based shooters its perfectly fine. My game play experience may be slightly off thanks to the strange reason I was arbitrary upgraded to founder and pioneer for having bought this game a long while back, but in terms of the grind its not as bad as loads of other games that encourage repeated play to get good stuff and optimized builds. The whole premise of this game screams to me a wild mix up of sci-fi elements as you fight dinosaurs and robots that seemingly are on the same page with ruining your day, but with a simple class system with two weapons; a skill, jumping kinda like Halo, and phase jumping the game gets kinda too easy once you get the hang of it which is definitely a plus for more casual gamers who don't want to get curb stomped by the difficulty and just have a simple good time. I 100 percent-ed the achieves in this game, at least at the time of this review, and that was without even really trying. The downsides of this game is quite clear though; it feels very very experimental and basic at times; like someone just playing around with a few concepts and throwing them into one game as a full package. The microtransaction store I can't speak for, though it seems more cosmetically based and as a founder I have access to drops that can essentially earn me that stuff for just playing the game. I don't know if thats the same deal for people paying up just a dollar, but if you don't care much about how you look then that won't hold you back at all with just getting enjoyment out of a one dollar game, which might also be why I'm a bit more kind in this review than I would otherwise be.
In short: its cheap, its got multiplayer, and easy to master mechanics that can be a decent introduction to wave based shooters. For less than five bucks you can get yourself this game and bring three others along for a full squad to mess around. If the simplicity of this game is a turn off, maybe consider Orion: Prelude which despite being an earlier release seems somehow a bit more put together.
Prelude is much better.

This is such a poorly made trash "game" it literally hurt me mentally to play. There is NOTHING in this game. Cash grabbing, asset thieving fools sh.t this "game" together. No story, no weapon variety, no cool action bland environment, no vehicles, dumb AI and worst of all, no fun to find anywhere in this steaming pile of garbage. You, creators, have desecrated the memory of the first game, which was actually fun. I wish you nothing, but the worst in your video game developing careers and I hope that no company falls into the trap of accidentaly hiring you in any position, other than a secretary, maybe...
Fails to deliver on promises and solutions. Each update and briefing summary is full of lies and deception. I bought this when it was super cheap just to try it out, and I think, conceptually, they have a fantastic environment for the game. However, it has terrible play-ability and functionality. The mechanics, graphics, bugs, etc. are just horrible. Needless to say, it is so boring. They've given up on trying to fix this game and provide more content. Seems more like a cash-grab at this point because they've outright failed. The dev's heart is not in it anymore, and it shows. I recommend you steer clear of this game.
the buttholes that made this game gave up on it long ago... im surprised there are still reviews popping up for it to this day.
To this day I have no idea how I ever got this game, or why. No idea if there's even a community anymore.
Great game...No community to play with:(
