结尾有点唐突地就结束了，感觉缺了一个终极大考一样的东西，不过也可能是因为我还没打隐藏结局的关系。
再就是它和异教模拟器（还有布兰顿爵士的人生，好像是这个名字？）等等堆属性、过检定、有倒计时的游戏机制容易玩着玩着就被迫多做数值方面的考量而不是享受故事了，感觉是游戏机制方面固有的缺憾（或者是我这一类玩家的毛病）
无法表达我有多么震撼。真正的文学和哲学精华，虽然游戏性和死亡带来的挫败感难以克服，但精神食粮本就不必一次吃完（找补中）。
近乎完美地让我忘了我是谁。我不是一条龙么？深刻地体会到了人与自然、万物与自然、那种…无以言表之震撼。
没有大智慧，没有真理，任何种族的至宝。
最痛苦的是多周目，至少…至少给我个快一点的跳过动画键？
巨巨巨巨巨好玩的龙龙游戏，谁不想体验一只龙龙的一生呢，中文翻译也是十分信达雅，感谢翻译大佬带给我们如此优秀的中文文本，当初玩完真的后劲巨大，好长时间没走出来。（虽然全收集确实有点麻烦，要是第三章能直接继承在前两章获得过的声望和物品就好了）

《龙族至宝：广袤之绿》真是个好游戏，算是自己玩过的年度最佳文字类游戏了（远不止文字）。
作者和译者的文笔都深深地打动了我，字里行间流露的哲思也颇为深刻。游戏间不仅体验了优秀的剧情设计，也感悟了不少为人处世之道，与人生各阶段追寻自我的共鸣。
绝大部分游戏都是一个向外探索的主旨，这个游戏却很好地给我带来了向内探索的启迪：我是谁？我要走向一条怎样的路？我的终极目标是什么？
相信不少人在现实生活中就或多或少面临过这些问题。而《龙族至宝》则给我们一个机会，从一位龙族后裔的独特视角去看这个世界，去寻找属于自身的那份至宝，与探寻自我的道途。

I can't believe my page(s?) long review for this game has somehow disappeared. This might well be one of my favorite games ever, and I encourage everyone to allow it to charm them without reading absolutely anything else about it beforehand.
If one must be convinced, though...
The writing is superb: immersive, thoughtful, innovative. It's fantastical in setting and vibe, yet has given me such a refreshing frame to consider our real world, suggesting a way of approaching things we often struggle to conceptualize as humans: particularly the violence inherent to nature and its being a pre-requisite to balance, all things that can clash against our understanding of 'morality' or 'goodness' and our existences within social structures. We're so distant from our existence as apex predators, and this game broaches that existence marvelously.
The art complements the game well - my only disappointment with it was in not being able to 'craft' my dragon's appearance, yet the moment where you first see yourself is engrained in my memory as *such* an experience regardless, so I quickly got over it.
I'm not necessarily a 'Dragon FanTM', but if you are one this might well be an obligatory play. It's one of the few written dragon voices IMHO that escapes rote tropes and imbues itself with believable, non-edgy not-insufferable character. Describing it that way is underselling it kind of crassly, but I sometimes find it kind of necessary given how one might expect this to go from its intro if led by preconceptions from other media.
I don't speak much of gameplay because I consider this game an experience instead - one I'm long overdue in playing through again to enjoy, now that it's been long enough from my first time for me to experience it fresh again. Still, it's akin to old time adventure games, and certainly exists to support the story and its themes above all else.
I'll be glad to support any more of the dev's future works, which I hear may come in this game's universe. If so... I can hardly wait!
One of my most beloved and treasured games. If you love dragons, you will adore this game.
So what is it that makes a writer good? Well, same as what makes a, say, chef, good. If you wanna eat the food made by them, then they're probably a good chef. Same with a writer. If you want to keep reading what they wrote, they're probably good.
What makes a writer great, then? To use our chef analogy again, their food not only tastes great, but it also makes you feel good after eating it. It's done carefully and with respect to the fact that the food will have to pass through your body and provide nourishment. So a good writer will produce something that will be engaging to read, but it will also leave you with a lasting feeling.
So... what makes a writer exceptional? This is debatable, but, again, an exceptional chef would probably be able to do all of the previous things, but in multiple cooking styles and disciplines. No matter what you throw at them, they'll produce a bona fide feast out of it. Likewise, an exceptional writer is one that can produce engaging, touching writing - in any format or genre they choose.
They can weave beautifully in flowery, almost elvish prose, and suddenly cut the cr@p and punch yo in ur face like an angry teen, throw in som slang showin their street cred and then make it look like its some emo kid's sad blog from 2003. And then carefully, systematically retract their steps and give you dry, information-rich text that reads like a research paper.
Golden Treasure: The Great Green does just that. It is written by an exceptional writer.
Yes, it's about being a dragon. Is that good or bad? It really shouldn't matter. Unless you utterly hate the idea of being a dragon, this story will take you anyway, purely with the strength of its writing - and the admittedly interesting mechanics. The art has this fairy tale book quality to it and works really well. And, of course, the worldbuilding: it's both familiar and fresh. As any bloody story worth its salt should be.
No, I'm not going to elaborate. This story could've been about anything and it wouldn't have changed a thing. Excellent writing is excellent writing. It might be a little bit heady and long winded at times, but look at you, reading this review. This shouldn't be a problem for you.
It is a visual novel, but it's also far more than a visual novel - there's a proper battle system, even. It really doesn't matter what I say. You owe it to yourself to try this one - listen to the Kin in your heart. Your father is the Sun, your mother is the Earth. As it's always been.

This game contains by far the greatest story in a video game I have ever experienced.

This game is a visual novel in the trenchcoat of an RPG, there are RPG elements but they aren't too in-depth, though the game isn't very difficult you will face death regardless, let failure not be your end, for it shows something to be learnt.

不过后面玩起来体验不错，虽然基本上就是饿了就去抓点动物，不饿就去跑跑事件，但没有感觉无聊
文本翻译得还是很好的，不过我想吐槽一下字体，我印象里游戏里龙以外的物种都使用了不太方正的字体，有几种字体挺难看清楚的（可能是因为龙对小动物的感知不是很清楚吧233)
迷宫好绕......救救我......
总之玩崩了两个档之后也是达成了慈悲结局，（不知不觉就跟着水晶妈妈跑了......)，以后有时间试试其它结局
对这类游戏感兴趣，或者单纯想看龙的可以试试，也可以等打折买

汉化质量超高，把文本翻译得像诗歌一样，并且还对每个动物都使用了艺术字体，这么大的工作量竟然只用了4个人，不敢想象有多辛苦。唯一的缺点就是作为一个强调选择的游戏，进行保存却有些不方便，每次都要退回主界面去保存，有点破坏体验
really fun had a great time roleplaying spirtkeeper game is a 10/10 for me(i may or not be a huge dragon fan) but this game was well worth the time and money. the art style is amazing and the story is great also it is fun to come back to it every once in a while very good game.

This game is an insult to all things dragon, which is all the more vexing because of all the glowing reviews praising its 'spiritual depth' and all sorts of otherkin gushing over it. When in reality it is either an accidental, or quite intentional mockery, a story of psychopathological creatures who are rightfully about to go extinct, wrapped into a thin veneer of newagey cosmic harmony.
- The first living dragon we encounter since birth is an elder who thinks it's a great idea to humiliate and intimidate a child. Apparently, this is normal. He teaches us sycophantic draconic etiquette and basic knowledge about the world... for payment. In useless materials which are, for some reason, a dragon status symbol for which they are at each others' throats. This is about as much of a parent figure we get as a dragon. [spoiler]Later, it turns out it is actually our parent, making the entire thing ten times worse. [/spoiler]
- 'Wise draak-kin' did not call for a moot even after several of their kin were killed by the 'flatfaces', for years. For that entire period, 'dad' didn't seem to care about his mate being murdered by humans. Do they even care about the survival of their species?
- All possible interaction we can have with our brother is murder or "sure, he'll die, but it's all fine, it's the circle of life", which is even more callous.
- Most other dragons are grandiloquent, grandstanding maniacs with the personality of a cardboard box. All they do is fight and kill, and collect shiny junk, once again, because... dragons?
- Every little dragon hatchling has to learn on their own what bacteria ('very tiny things') are. This does not bode well for the survival of this species if such vital knowledge is not taught or preserved, and we are expected to see the 'draak-kin' as wise? Are we in general expected to see a species whose majority of interactions with each other is murder or extortion of shinies as wise?
- Our protagonist feels 'their tail curling in pleasure' at the thought of woodland denizens trembling from the sound of their roar. You scared some sparrows; classy, such a majestic dragon.
- [spoiler]The scene in which the protagonist learns of human religion and longing for transcendence and pities them falls utterly flat after what our brutish life has consisted of so far. This has to be intentional at that point. When the protagonist observes humans with children, we get lovely snippets like 'underperforming hatchlings need to be motivated by pain'. The authors really do hate dragons, huh? Not only this is flat out ugly, likely inefficient and not even entirely true of animals rearing their young, this is doubly ironic because this is actually an extremely human 'disciplinary' outlook in real life. [/spoiler]
- Of course, such creatures could not possibly invent art (but everything they do is a 'song' or 'dance' for some reason), only humans could, and human art blows our little reptilian mind, because... just because.
- I could go on and on about how clueless, neurotic, violent and unsympathetic the dragons are behind the mask of their spiritual song-fluff. The examples are rampant in-game.
- [spoiler]The endings, oh, the endings. We are expected to believe that in one of the endings they did this feat of engineering, these plumaged idiots who get baited with simple traps and can't live a day without fighting for shinies? The other endings are even more atrocious, especially the 'good' one, which is straight up horror if you know how otherkin often feel about being human (and aren't otherkin the primary target audience of this game?) [/spoiler]
- A minor detail, but it speaks volumes: the fact that dragons/animals are often referred to as 'it' in the game, but humans are 'he/she' for some reason; it kills any feeble attempt of making it not anthropocentric.
You know, I would not even mind a depiction of the relative brutality of a dragon's way of life, because nature is a hellscape no matter how many times you call it 'a beautiful song of destruction or creation' or somesuch lofty tripe. But the utter stupidity, single-dimensionality and inefficiency of these 'wise dragons' is beyond the pale. Behind the bad poetics and colorful plumages they act pretty much like thugs whose range of planning is a few days at best. They are worse than animals... because animals are at least not pretentious (you wish: everyone speaks in an extremely pretentious way in this game, animals included).
The gameplay is about as tedious as actually living several hellish lives of dying, killing and reproducing. And no, you are not 'fulfilling your duty as a Destroyer'. You are hungry and you need to kill something - out with it already, dragon, aren't you man enough to call a spade a spade? But apparently dragons are all about euphemisms. And about being obsessed with 'worthiness', with egos more fragile than chicken eggshells. Even the air at one point tells you 'you are worthy'. It's supposed to make you feel uplifted, but it's inane.
Why must the player respect the 'great Laws' of this brutish existence? Why must the player respect the 'elder dragons' apart from the fact that they are more efficient murder machines (you wish again. Dragons here are extremely flimsy and die to bacteria, fungi, random woodland animals, each other, humans and a stiff breeze - and collectively learn nothing from it)? Why must we care about this hollow shell of a world at all? No amount of obtuse flowery prose or corporate-training-video sounding piano music can mask the fact that the dragons' world is even more spiritually bankrupt than those of the 'flat-faces'. Despite all the 'we are all one' New-Agey preaching, the ideology behind this game is crude, badly understood primitivism, Darwinism, panpsychism and individualism all mashed into one profane pile, where everyone dies alone and out for themselves - humans, tragically, being the partial exception. The idea of cosmic harmony unravels before the fact that these dragons are heartless creatures with a thin veneer of spiritual bypassing failing to conceal their hollow lives.
The phrase 'every ending is a beginning' when you die feels like some sort of a demonic mockery seeing as what our life as a dragon mostly consists of - loneliness, hatred, hoarding, fear, hunger, groveling before the elders and, worst of all, stupidity. I can scarce imagine a sadder fate than being born a majestic dragon only to find out that's what being one is like. And this is a game for otherkin? Either the Beast called Reality has devoured and trampled the Dragon of Imagination in this game, or it's a very elaborate ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of sorts.

本來想不看攻略打到結局，但迷宮太折磨人了，一直試到最後只覺得厭煩，對沉浸感傷害很大
執教的部分我很愛，在昏暗的背景下聆聽執教的故事真的很浪漫，有一種遠離現代社會的原始美麗，音樂的強弱變化也恰到好處
黯牙在大課程最後的表現讓我想叫他daddy，太美了，又很成熟，從頭就開始關心我們給我們幫助，怎麼能不愛，贈與銀棒真的太浪漫了
能跟龍做艾真的很棒，本作雖然是講龍族的故事但大部分文本還是在描述良獸、無尾、森林的故事，希望續作有更多龍之間的交流

这是一个极其优秀的高质量游戏，在这里非常感谢Dreaming Door和制作者[spoiler]写制作者是因为我不知道他叫什么，游戏内的签名我也看不懂（）[/spoiler]做出这个令人震撼的视觉小说作品。
我因为是先在朋友手中拿到游戏文件，并自己玩完了游戏的全部内容后才真正购买了此游戏，因此我的游戏时间看起来很少，实际上肯定已经至少25h了。[spoiler]当时知道这游戏后我还没钱买说是，有钱了就立马补票了。[/spoiler]
整个游戏的沉浸感很高，描述并没有大量用人类的各种名词，几乎只有几个，反而是大量自创词汇，[spoiler]让龙族看起来不像是偷学了人类知识[/spoiler]。而且文字饱含诗意，源语言就已经很优美了，可我没想到简体中文也能做到这么高质量。能把原文翻译成这样，几乎完全保留原有意思的，很少见，也恰巧说明了制作者和Dreaming Door的用心。
另外，游戏内的谜题新颖，难度也很高，我死活想不到居然是这个答案[spoiler]是的查了攻略知道的[/spoiler]。以及两次大学习，我事实上第一次还摸不着头脑，不过后面玩二周目的时候就顿悟了。塔罗牌也很棒，同样是自创的[spoiler]虽然卡片规格搞错了[/spoiler]，并且风格也符合游戏整体。
而且，整个游戏的美术资源我记得似乎是手绘？即使不是，整个风格也很不错，而且这些美术资源的质量令我震惊，居然如此之高。
最后，狩猎是很新颖的，回合制战斗也没问题，但是战斗时前期靠猜拳后期靠背招说实话确实是很恶心的，很容易因为运气不好或者忘了招就死掉。
我并不擅长编撰评测，能写这么多也已经是我的极限了。我将我游玩的感想全部写在了上面，希望还没有买这个游戏的可以买来玩玩，真心好玩高质。最后，再次感谢Dreaming Door和制作者做出这个令人震撼的视觉小说作品，也希望Dreaming Door和制作者可以做出更多高质量作品，蒸蒸日上！祝你们开心！

游戏将一个很新颖的视角贯彻在叙事、剧情、战斗、世界观等方方面面，连局外成长的形式都是玩家加深了对世界的了解，沉浸感做的很好。而游戏的叙事不仅是其特色也是其亮点，在龙的视角下探讨了有关自然、生存、智慧等诸多哲学话题，并且较好平衡了游戏性和叙事性，不会让人觉得是枯燥的说教。
不足之处在于为了给叙事让步，战斗的判断不是很容易理解清晰，好在局外成长后战斗部分不难。
总体上是极具叙事和美术特色的独立游戏，打折时值得入手。

There are two types of people: those whose favourite game is Golden Treasure, and those who haven’t played it yet.
The game is good. The reason I do not want to recommend this game is the absence of a save system, which is frustrating. Devs could've just given the player an option to toggle on/off the save system when you start a playthrough. And it's damn frustrating to start the same thing again while I don't have much time for gaming and have a lot of other good games that are more player-friendly in such elementary things.

一款别开生面的龙宝宝养成模拟器，一方面赋予了龙很强的生物性，原画基本就是照着长翅膀的大蜥蜴画的，并非那个一开始就可以翱翔在九天之上，轻轻一个吐息就送前期的玩家归西的飞龙形象，而是真正从龙蛋开始，甚至还要和人类圈养的羊群战斗，应对四处而来的威胁，可以说一不留神就会死亡，甚至存在被羊顶死或者被真菌感染这样的奇葩死法，但与之对应的就是成长为巨龙的时候就非常有成就感，于风暴之中翩翩起舞，与其他龙族还有食物链的顶端殊死搏斗，与远古就存在的魂灵对话，头上长出元素亲和的神性光环，双翼一展，身下土地的生灵尽皆臣服，最有代入感的一次！值得一提的是这是视觉小说游戏，主要是文本没有动作部分，能接受的龙癌再来试试
另外一方面就是艺术性，这游戏最有特色的部分就是称呼，用了成吨的词汇重新定义各种“良兽”，什么幻日者，什么棘背，什么长耳，什么隐爪，突然就蒙上了一层神秘色彩，不知道的还以为是什么人类民族，每一种良兽都有自己的[strike]出场诗号[/strike]“良兽之道”，尤其是关于智慧试炼里面四种道路的探讨，分别是人类的金钱体系
[spoiler]人类的宝藏只是自以为是的脆弱玩具[/spoiler]虚无主义[spoiler] 万物相对，但龙就在这儿 [/spoiler]宗教体系[spoiler]宗教可以约束人心，但不能约束物理，更不能约束龙！[/spoiler]以及知识之道[spoiler]没有经过实际丈量的知识终究只是被灌输的空想[/spoiler] 从这四个试炼就可以看出制作者的文学功底而且文笔雀氏瑰丽优雅
总之，其鳞苍翠，其志烈烈，云蒸雾变，鹰击鸷搏，绿林的锋刃，广袤之绿的守护者等你来体验！
不过还是得提一下，这个游戏本质上还是明暗两条线，作者实际上花费了大量的笔墨来描写我们的“无尾平脸族”，独一无二的用了两个否定形容词来形容的种族，这个游戏的人族实际上是最特殊的，包括龙族在内，实际上都是太阳为父亲，大地为母亲的原生土著，只有人族，[spoiler]实际上是外星人为父亲，星球为母亲的缝合奇美拉， [/spoiler]人族卡在两个阵营的夹缝之中无法自拔，既不能等来星空之外异者的回归，但也无法全身心的融入这颗星球的良兽体系，制作者明里暗里花费了大量的笔墨都在描写这种痛苦，言外之意大概是对这样的种族应该要有所“慈悲”，这个其实就是比较有名的尼比鲁假说，认为人类是外星人用自身基因结合星球上的物种基因编辑诞生的，不光是如此，各种神话传说中的巨人和龙这样的生物其实也是，巨人虽然形态各异（三头，独眼，百臂）但在神话中普遍被认为有神灵背景，其原因自然就是他们其实都是神灵基因和本土生物结合的“奇美拉”，只是大洪水的时候清理的差不多了，只有数量最多最菜的人类存活并延续了下来，很明显本作是采用了这个假说，但就如上所说，无论是称呼，还是哲学方面的探讨，还是如此特殊的“人类”，这个游戏实际上关于人类的地方太多了，虽然是龙宝宝养成游戏，但实际上人类的意识色彩却异常的强烈，人类总是如此的特殊，对吧，对待种种或幻想或实际存在的生灵，并非是真正基于观察感受和接纳，而是带有割裂视角的审视，用自我的角度去代入，去将其拟人化，诚如游戏中的文案所说，这样偏差的人类视角有点太不“智慧”了，当然或许制作人本来想表现得就是这样的角度，但还是希望能更有想象力一些
As I have just 100%'d and got all achievements for this game, I'm ready to write a review for this underrated gem that absolutely deserves recognition, since this game is an absolute masterpiece and beautiful in so many ways. In fact, an absolute must-play for dragon lovers like myself.
To start off with this, I want to start with the handpainted art, in which it's absolutely beautiful to look at, the music is also equally as beautiful, relaxing, and emotional to listen to, in which it adds emotion to those pictures in many scenes, and the honorable mention is the storyline, which is so well written and sends you on a beautiful emotional rollercoaster and gives you an amazing impression on what it's like to be a dragon, and how you experience life through their eyes. The main endings broke me emotionally to the point I actually literally cried on some of them, and the one with that had the biggest impact on me is the secret ending. And therefore, this game is absolutely Golden and true art.
As this game has now become one of my favorite games of all time, I totally and 100% recommend this game to everyone, and I promise that after you buy and play through it, you'll experience true art and won't regret it.
I'm surprised that this game managed to put to words many of the things I've felt over the last few years. I won't go into detail, but this game is very text-heavy, and you are bound to find something that speaks to your conscience on a deeper, more sacred level, when all the rituals and expectations of modern life are stripped away by your solitude and immersion. I'm a slow reader, so it was a bit of a challenge for me. But it was definitely worth the time.
This is not an easy game. You can't simply save-scum, you can't act on a whim. You need to be smart and attentive if you are to survive, claim your territory, and dance the little blessings of yourself and others into being. One mistake has the potential to erase any trace of your existence from the face of the Earth. So be mindful.
It's deeply satisfying making it through and surviving to adulthood, and whether you like dragons or not, I think you'll enjoy the experience. Go for it!
So I wish to be clear, I did/ do LOVE the art, the concept & the general story. The HUD is very new user friendly & the info on how to play & what applies to what as well as the map system is all VERY straight forward & fun. Just enough of a challenge to keep yer brain interested, but not so much that ye'll get frustrated. For that I cannot praise the lot enough....
There is a however in this though. I attempted to play this game 5 times. Each time I reached a certain fight directly after the wolves & each time, even after following guides to the T, got hard blocked. Hard blocked to the point where you literally CANNOT progress until this fight is won. You have to restart. So I did. First, Second & Third attempt I just tried the lot on my own. Fourth and Fifth I followed guides & still ended up slamming my head into a concrete wall.
I will fully acknowledge this could be a failing of mine in some manner shape or form. On the fifth shot I called in assistance as I did, honestly, assume I was an idiot. When us, playing together along side, could still not get the lot to work, I called it quits.
The situation is down right sad because the game is honestly gorgeous & immersive to the extreme in every good way but there's a but in there & it's not an attractive one. I wish anyone who attempts this game the best of luck.

An absolute must-try for anyone remotely interested in/attached to dragons or the natural world. 11/10 if you're Otherkin.
When I got to the final scene of this game, it took me twenty minutes of agonising debating to reach a decision. Then after I watched my decisions unfold I collapsed into bed and cried for a good half an hour more.
Ultimately, there are only a limited amount of set endings to this game, but the journey there is so utterly diverse, beautiful and bizarre that it doesn't matter, and they all play out slightly differently depending on your decisions leading up to that point. Over all, this is a beautiful work of multi-media art, the music, the scenery, the characters, the storytelling are all witty, terrifying and stunning at the same time.
The gameplay is simple and takes a backseat after a two or three runs if you play it smart, so if you're not into it, a little bit of grinding is all it takes and the vague roguelikes mechanics will have you strong enough to breeze through all but the hardest encounters, especially if you look out for some of the combat items to help you through those.
Just... don't ♥♥♥♥ with the ferret at first. Either way, be expected to die atleast once before you beat the game. Nature isn't kind, but you may be blessed yet.

This game is a hidden gem that anyone who is even mildly fascinated with dragons should experience. Beautifully written, beautifully illustrated, it's just BEAUTIFUL.
The only slight negative is that you're supposed to play through it multiple times, and you'll very quickly see everything there is to see long before you've achieved all four endings.

I love, love, love, love dragons. I played this game 3 years ago, (yes, i pirated it back then) and i've spent hours on this game, getting all the the Endings and completing the Gallery.

A Roguelike RPG Visual Novel. On the surface.
But in reality, an immaculately executed piece of writing, managing to put to words much of the previously indescribable beauty through the perspective of a dragon - attuned to nature, the spiritual, and to pride; yet unfamiliar with unity.
When not describing the beauty of Nature through the draconic vocabulary, it becomes a series of philosophical parables by and large inspired by and following Daoism and Buddhism. Many of them don't really have a right or wrong answer, and are instead best explored in each possible way through each iteration of your character, aligning it to the different elements and ideas.

Some of the social commentary is pretty heavy handed, having to be coaxed into a single encounter, but it's not unwelcome, and generally pretty funny - author's thinly weiled disdain for capitalism, religion and the school system.
Interesting relationship with gender - many Goodbeasts do have some strict roles for Givers and Birthers, but it's never entirely patriarchal, instead giving just as much attention to the unique roles of Birthers in many animal structures. For Kin though, it's even more complex: they are defined mostly by the 4 elements, rather than their sex, and not even your character's sex is ever stated. Everyone is referred to as it/its, and only concepts are given gendered pronouns - Earth is She, Sun is He.
The subversion of "ugh filthy humans are so awful" is also well done. [spoiler]The first two acts are all about how dangerous and barbaric they are, and even the endings are all about dealing with their threat in various ways. And yet, most of the third act is all about the beauty of humanity, flawed as it is, and not always on the surface. And, of course, not compatible with everything, not in its current state.[/spoiler]
As best example, the Artist encounter is probably my favorite of all. [spoiler]Of course the character itself is very neat, as a reflection that even the No-Tails could align themselves to Nature, but the part that resonated with me is the Amber Circlet interaction in particular. The idea that a single moment of Compassion could change someone's life so drastically, and that it would be remembered for one's entire life, is just really beautiful.[/spoiler]

The true ending [spoiler]is the culmination of the themes of unity, wisdom and compassion of the game, as well as its Buddhist influence. You let go of every Desire, of Rage, of Truth and of the Self, and achieve unity with the Onesong.
There's also some Luciferian Kabbalah too: you are literally a Serpent on a Path, touching upon each path between the Sefirot as represented through the Tarot, to experience all walks of life and reach enlightenment. Which, of course, is obliterating the sense of self, and becoming Nothing.
An interesting aspect of the game as a whole, is how much the different philosophies and religions intermingle - the act of letting go of dogmatic Truth in practice. There is no one True Unquestionable Teaching, so instead, take something from everything, as you see fit. Create a Wisdom in place of Truth - not something static, but something malleable, defined by your own experience.
> You will not take the Crown and declare your journey of discovery over. To accept it would be to die to all possibilities outside your knowledge.

Wisdom is not a state. It is a process.
This game is healing for the soul.
While I don't have a whole lot of experience with these sorts of text-based story roleplaying games, this one is well crafted and a work of art. Despite being a game about Draak Kin, the themes of identity and community that the game explores are an insightful commentary on humanity and our flaws and truths.
But if that doesn't matter to you, you can also get high on weed or receive a blessing from a stuck-up octopus by threatening their life.
The gameplay mechanics (hunting, fighting, riddles, story choices) all fit their roles well. The elemental mastery system rewards failure and allows you to feel like your choices have a meaningful impact on the growth of your Draak. While there are some more optimal routes, the game is rogue-lite in that you gain permanent buffs for completing certain objectives or by developing mastery in your knowledge of the different animals. Meaning you likely won't be able to complete the game on your first try unless you manage to hit all the right routes. There's a fair bit of trial and error, but each mistake only makes you stronger.
Also no bugs, aggressive monetization, or any of the other pitfalls of modern gaming. Oh, and the soundtrack is incredible.
All in all, this game has my wholehearted recommendation. I believe it's worth the full price, even if you only play one complete run, you still get a dollar an hour.

This game is truly a masterpiece. I enjoyed every moment while played, awesome artworks, music, scenario, gameplay features and more. And after every ending i want to replay again. Even if there are a bit annoying parts such as if u did wrong decision u need to replay whole part or full game (not necessary but for best gameplay) still this game is beautiful and worth its time. Without a doubt i recommend it to everyone.

I absolutely love this game, and I wish more people knew about it.
I had never heard of this before, until a friend for it for me, having wanted to see me play it. I was unsure at first, as I am about most games I don't know about in advance, but I am so glad I was gifted the chance to experience this.
Every scene, every moment, every hand painted piece of beauty that this game contains, was an amazing experience. I loved every second of this, of telling my story as a Draak. I have played through it over and over, figuring out and learning all I could about this story, wanting more and more, to figure out every last bit I could.
I'm so sad that I went a full six years without knowing this game existed. But I do know now, and I'm so happy that I do. If you are at all on the fence of trying this game, you absolutely should. If you enjoy dragons at all, you will love becoming a Draak-kin.
I'm so excited for Hierophant, however far away it may be. I need more of this world, no matter how different it may be.

waste of time
This is a very simple game but it is not a game in truth, it is a story and an exploration of nature and philosophy. Of survival, compassion, wisdom and ego. To live is to die, to struggle is to learn, to create is to destroy.
Game was amazing. Loved every single scene to bits. Then I got a patreon email about how the studio decided to take saudi money and move to a country whose government has kidnapped and decapitated journalists in the last decade. Very disappointed.

This has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of media of all time, if I'm going to be honest.
I was a little iffy on the perspective at first, but I've warmed up to it almost immediately. It's masterfully written, with gorgeous art and music to back it up. It's incredibly thoughtful and presents concepts and perspectives that stuck with me and even influence my own worldbuilding project.
There are multiple instances (especially the endings!) where I just had to sit there in silence and think about what just happened. I'm not afraid to admit that I shed a tear more than once, and it's very hard for a game to do that to me.
I've played it on and off, some in short bursts and some in longer sessions, and now that I've beaten it 100% it's giving the same feeling as finishing a really good book, and I'm sad that my journey with this game has come to an end, but all endings are just beginnings in disguise.
Easiest 10/10 I've ever given.
so i'm going to start with the things i did NOT like about this game:
1. the timer. there's this arbitrary timer that transitions you to the next part of the game, like it or not. i understand why it's there, to make the game replayable, but it just stops you from experiencing the full breadth of the game in one playthrough.
2. speaking of replayability, it's not great. the fact you have to click through a bunch of text, do all the mini-games, and so on just to get to one event/get one tarot/try some route makes it very unappealing. and this game really wants you to replay (you need to get every tarot to get the secret ending, and that's impossible to do on one playthrough due to the timer).
3. the blend between visual novel and rogue-lite. this game would have been better if it just stayed a visual novel. i definitely see what the developers were going for in the rogue-lite elements, but it ultimately falls flat (and honestly hurts replayability despite being intended to help it). hunting is pretty good but barebones and becomes mindless quickly. combat could be a lot more, but due to the rock-paper-scissors combat style you are encouraged to just spam earth element attacks (that is, the element that does not counter or get countered) in all combat encounters except in hunting ones against animals you know the pattern of. this spaminess is encouraged even more once you are at high elemental mastery, because you take less and deal more damage to the opponent regardless. the tarot system is okay, but you can get so many tarots in part 2 that you can just breeze through the whole game on another playthrough, and that's not very fun. overall, what's here seems like a framework. i hope this will be improved upon in this game's sequel, because it could really be something special.
4. the dungeons. they're just mazes with occasional weak enemies. annoying and time-consuming. the test of wisdom had some great moments, but the dungeons are just annoying.
so you may read that and think. "huh, with how many problems this game seems to have, why is this guy recommending it?" well, it's because of just how beautiful this game is. the writing style being so vague and using unclear terms adds to the mystique of the game, and it sells the idea of you being a young dragon learning about and exploring the world. the game is very thoughtful and touching; it presented ideas that maybe i had acknowledged but hadn't thought about until playing this game. the music is great, it suits the game well and i could not get tired of listening to it. the images are beautiful (or hideous when it suits the scene), and that coupled with the amazing sound design and the writing really makes you feel the moment you're in. i was scared when the player character was scared, angry when they were, sad when they were, awestruck when they were, and exulted when they were.
overall, the game gets the strongest recommendation i could give it to anyone who might be remotely into it.

Thank you for the developer's assistance. After trying various methods without success, I ultimately resolved the issue by resetting my computer system. I'm not sure if the problem was caused by some pre-installed software on my computer. Unfortunately, by the time I saw the developer's suggestions, I had already reset the system, so I didn't keep any logs. Lastly, I'd like to say that this is an excellent game, and I'm really looking forward to its sequel.

The game is beautifully illustrated and in the Gallery Ludwig credits the artists who created them and tells a little blurb about each. I really liked that. Oh and he mentioned Shadowrun so that was cool ;)
I cannot recommend this enough. It is an incredible game, and an amazing piece of art. Two of the endings made me cry, it moved me so much.

I was not expecting this game to be this good. It's very spiritual in a certain way. It is 100% worth buying.

我觉得这是一款不错的游戏，尤其是对于lxl来说
但是我在游玩的过程中遇到了一些bug例如
点的太快了的话，下面的那一个继续阅读选项直接就没了
或者是在主页面点一点，突然变成了英文
以及如果用英文的.来进行存档他并不会复制成功而是会在那里留下一个点的存档，当你把这个存档删掉的时候，会随机删掉另一个存档
接下来就是对于steam这个应用的问题，我玩了将近60个小时，为了全收集啊，好家伙，结果过了几天我上存档的时候发现我云存档全没了
所以如果要玩这款游戏的时候，提前把自己的存档备份一下，扔到网盘上
额外我希望制作组能看一看发的邮箱，我都反馈了那么多的bug，结果没修
顺便一提，我发现在公告里，我看到了第二部的预告
我还是比较希望第二部的主人公是这一部的主角，来继续黯牙最后的故事线(跑到别的星球上)不过，听说第二部的主角好像换了新的，我还是喜欢看第一部主角后续发生的故事
一流的美术、音乐，剧情也很有深意，翻译也很有水平

Well, after all these years I think it's about time I finally write a review:
This game has impacted the way I see nature in a positive way. It holds a special place in my heart ever since I've played it for the first time five years ago, and is one of the best examples of why video games are indeed a form of art! Not only the visual parts but also, and especially, the writing are very beautiful. The music is more simple and subtle (but in my opinion also beautiful), which fits very well with the nature theme of the game.
Now, I already mentioned the writing being beautiful but I wish to point out how well done the nonhuman perspecitive is! When you play, the game [i]willl[/i] treat you like the Dragon you are. Your actions (and those of others) are not judged by some human societal standards, but from the perspective of an animal living in the wild. I still have much more positive things to say about the writing, but doing so would mean for me to spoil the game and I think experiencing it firsthand is much better :)
The gameplay is what I like to describe as "Choose Your Own Adventure game with some RPG and Roguelite elements sprinkled in". While there is a simple turn based battle system and hunting minigame, the main part of the gameplay will be you reading and making choices. As for roguelite elements, it is very likely that you will not make it through part 2 on your first or even second attempt, because the fights can very very challenging at the beginning. And having to read through some events multiple times might diminish the magic/impact, which is the one small gripe I have with this game. [b]But[/b] there are things that carry over to your next life, making you stronger until the fights will be much easier. You also unlock the possibility to jump in at later parts, if you managed to reach them once before. There are multiple endings and so many things and options to explore that you won't and/or can't see in one run, leaving plenty of new things to discover for multiple playthroughs!
As mentioned, this game is one of my all time favorites and If you enjoy reading well written stories or are open to try something new, not only game genre but also perspective wise, I warmly recommend at least trying out the demo!
I actually first got this game 5 years prior on a different site. I like to think it changed me for the better, as art is meant to help you learn in all sorts of ways. The developers and the fandom have been some great conversation over all this time. I'm excited to see where Dreaming Door Studios goes next :]

几个迷宫实在是不想去第二次，太恶心了
1.相当优美且文辞通畅的视觉小说。
2.但是单论起他的游玩方式也可以称得上妙趣横生，在有限的时间里选择不同的事件，而由于这个时间限制，地图必不可能被清空，所以也为多周目游玩留下了空间。
3.当然这一切都建立在这部作品完美的文字表达之上。
4.很可惜，文字风格这种事往往各有所好，所以这部作品相当需要对电波。
5.但是无论如何强雷推荐给喜欢人外和龙类的人群，人外感刻画的入木三分，几乎可以说是平生仅见的好了。

Seemed kinda cool ig until I went on their Discord and one of their admins or creators or "grand dragons" or something started denying the holocaust in Gaza City. Uninstalling, hiding from library. Supporting Dreaming Door Studios is tantamount to endorsing holocaust denial.
This is a truly fantastic game that I've replayed more times than I can count, which has made me cry and think about life and philosophy more than I expected - and I had high expectations. As a dragon myself, the game is phenomenal xenofiction. As a writer, it's got fantastic writing and fascinating worldbuilding. As an artist, the game is visually gorgeous and in many ways stylistically unique, and the design of the Draak-Kin is an extremely cool one. I'm looking forward to Hierophant so, so very much and have adored every moment of playing this game, and recommend this game to people literally every chance I get.
