This is a really entertaining game, with a well written story, challenging combat (especially later in the game), and lots to experiment with. I have been enjoying the challenge and my time with the game and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys combat roguelikes.

辅助全开后还算能玩（指通关），狭小空间1VN、受击必有大硬直全靠无敌救、翻滚接近黑魂的超重翻。这些底子注定了想要体验好那就必须打的很功利（骗你的，功利也受苦），像是只选择长手或者大范围武器。
RL局内部分流程过短，哪怕选会计或者老板这种买技能不差钱的主一局也只能维持二十个左右，二十个是不少有些技能也是简单粗暴的强（加移速攻击、区域伤害、无敌随从之类的），但废技能更多导致BD无处可寻，比如暴击流有无锁加暴击+首次暴击给钱+暴击额外叠电击这种看上去很美好的搭配，结果一局你能摸到其中一个就不错了。
RL局外部分成长很快到头，增益到顶也只不过是自带一技能和一个联系人，可能是怕玩家懒得做任务联系人的核心增益一二级就给，主线刚跑到一半角色就长无可长这合理么？别的就剩下买技能了，由于技能随机大概率越买越弱，但不买还不行，因为技能是按层买的，上层不买完下层不解锁，非常之谔谔。
最后RL最大的问题在于最终BOSS，玩家不能选联系人只能带一技能外加开头随机的三技能，四技能打BOSS你就学吧，就算是机制杀也够清奇了，那玩家之前的努力又算什么呢？

美术行但跑偏，游玩之前我设想的是办公室大战，谁不喜欢在格子间抄键盘显示器互殴呢？结果进来一看格子间有，键盘也有，但主题是异世界绿皮COS，还有漫画肉呢，我是来看这个的？后面的挖矿公司整了个西部矿工，约会软件公司给了个情趣酒店，连格子间都扔了是罢（捂眼）。
剧情也一样，开场是比较俗套的办公室笑话环节，但不过不失也有乐子，后续一转大家是好的，同事是好的，老板的初心是好的（那开头的成功学鸡汤笑话呢？），甚至媚上欺下的中层小领导也是好的。全给你好完了那主角这个实习生啥时候才有工资拿啊，总不能和那帮不仅没工资还收培训费的类人玩意比吧，那可太地狱仂。
结局经典一转工会，不过问题是游戏的办公室笑话很多都是后资本主义下的原子人失能，不是简单的联合就能改变的状况，当然如果把最后的跳舞想象成摆大烂那当我没说。

REALLY, really fun. Even though it's structured like a roguelite with the unlockable skills/mentors, after coming back to it following a 100% playthrough, it feels more like a roguelike in how it rewards skillful play/game knowledge.

The art direction is a delightful subversion of the "corporate" style, and the characters are all very charming. While I wish there was more interaction with the characters in general, the bits we do get are wonderful.

The soundtrack, too... It is phenomenal. The way "'crypto' type beat" incorporates the boss' sound effects is really charming, for instance, and just about all of the tracks are great background noise.

Es un gran juego. Si sabes ingles te recomiendo mucho jugarlo en ese idioma, ya que muchas bromas/conceptos son juegos de palabras en ingles. Todo el juego es una parodia al mundo de las empresas, no como tal una critica, si no una historia comedia y relajada. En cuanto al Gameplay, aunque relativamente simple, se siente muy bien de jugar, cada area se ve y siente diferente, junto con sus propios enemigos y "Sala especial", por asi decirlo. La banda sonora personalmente me gusto, sigue ese estilo simple y minimalista, pero es muy agradable. Es un juego para desconectar y reirte de vez en cuando. Ademas, cualquier PC puede correrlo. No tengo nada de que quejarme, 10/10.

It frustrates me to give this one a thumbs down as i love the concept, art style, the upgrade progression, and the fact that everything can be used as a weapon but the core combat sucks. slow and clunky movement, when you are ganged up on its basically a death sentence as you can't dodge away, charge up attacks don't work half of the time causing you to try multiple times for it to work properly, maps are too small when there is more than three enemies, its rare that you get to into a bigger map that making more enemies make sense, throwing is pointless as that is also very slow and enemies have ample time to move out of the way and it breaks the weapon. While there is powerups and relic like stat boosts that exist grinding enough that will make you more powerful, none of that matters when its core gameplay mechanic that everything else revolves around is this poorly programmed

Gameplay was pretty fun (fairly easy for the most part but still puts up a challenge later) and the humour was great (swomp my goat), but the story was surprisingly really entertaining which I didn't expect for a roguelite. Some really creative and cool designs too, both character and weapon wise. Also the music is a banger.

Agree with previous positive review, this game is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED. I bought this on a whim during steam sale and it's my favorite game of the year HANDS DOWN. The writing and story are HILARIOUS and brilliant. I find myself laughing out loud several times every time I play. If you work in tech, know someone who works in tech, or just live under capitalism, there are so many little jokes, environmental posters, plot bits that will be make you laugh so hard. The gameplay is satisfying and addictive in typical rogue-like fashion. It's difficult without being frustrating and varied enough to be replayable without being overwhelming. The graphics are so cute and fun and the music is great too. BUY IT NOW

That's a fun time. I don't really enjoy roguelikes/lites for how long it takes to get from the easy stuff to the challenging stuff, so it being broken up into 4 seperate smaller roguelike arenas was more fun and rewarding for me. If I did want the full roguelike experience tho, I'm glad there is an optional mode where you can do that.

The combat is quite simple, so the little upgrades you can get for yourself is quite fun to mess around with. I enjoy weilding giant cleavers and bats with one hand and having an attack speed bonus. Just mops up the enemies. Almost all the enemies have clear tells, making most of the hits taken feel like your fault for taking them. I liked the weapon durability here. Alot of the abilities you can get are build around the fact you won't be committed to one weapon or weapon type, so it's fun specializing in a type and gearing up for the next room.

The style is silly, fun and creative. I like that Goblins are in the job center as Joblins, the skeleton miners are in the Styxcoin, and I like the hot lady in winkydink. Fun to notice the creative ways they've named and modelled the enemies, it really feels like a monster world in the modern/future era.

The story is simple too but is also takes parodic jabs at the modern day corporate world. The guy in the styxcoin being a parody of a troll cryptocurrency bro, and the boss of winkydink (a dating app) being "hover hands". It's very funny and makes me go "i see what you did there" every now and again. There is a commentary on how capitalism, consumerism and convenience collide in a digitized world. Also, I know this game came out way before the AI boom, but it's hilarious how relevant that robot was to the conversation on capitalism in this era.

The characters are funny, though I won't remember many of them into my days. Marv is the one who I will remember cause he is a potato. I do not like him, and that's good. The main character is essentially the everman (or everywoman in this case), being new to this world and comments on the absurdity that seems normal to everyone else.

Also, you know how in a game, you can clip through the character model if you angle the camera and character close to a wall? Do that. Hilarious of the devs to add that there.

This game has alot of heart and I'm excited to try out their Souls like, I hope it's just as fun and as silly as this was.

It's always so cathartic to destroy your bald middle manager with a giant ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bolt cutter. Honestly, if work was always like that, I might be more eager to clock in.

Going Under is Aggro Crab's first game, and it's pretty good. I'm usually not a big fan of roguelites/likes, but this one feels different from the others in its presentation and mechanics. It uniquely portrays the nihilistic feeling of working under corporate. The game does struggle a bit with its level design, though, and there still is a bit of polish needed. It should not deter you from playing it, though.

The gameplay of Going Under feels pretty well-put together for an indie company's first try. It has an item pickup and break mechanic that is not frustrating by making almost everything a funny weapon to use. The movement of Jackie feels extremely fluid, and when you understand how rolling's invincibility frames work, it feels pretty powerful. Skills are pretty hit or miss, but they're very fun to combine and break the game with. After a while you figure out that you are extremely disadvantaged at AoE damage or crowd control (especially in Imposter Mode), which makes you take on fights more carefully. The devs really did a good job in designing the enemies in a way to balance out their powers as a group. ♥♥♥♥ the Chump Chains though.

What makes the gameplay "good" and not "superb" is the numerous caveats that undermine the game's fun factor. The level design does not combine well with the rest of the game. Except in Imposter Mode, the different dungeons are separated rather than making you go through them one by one, so it feels pretty one-dimensional to go through the same dungeon over and over. Rooms don't accommodate the enemies, meaning that there's no real cohesion between environment hazards and the monsters you're fighting. Also, some recurrent bugs can break the game's flow. For example, you should NEVER have 2 curses; all subsequent curses will become permanent and ruin all your runs until you reset your entire Steam.

This game's best part is definitely the art. I feel like it has involuntarily pioneered the pastel, simplistic styles of many indie video games nowadays, while still feeling fresh after 5 years. They visually contrast with any other game with their unique and fitting Alegria theme, which makes you feel like you're in a soulless corpo ad on the metro. The music is similarly very unique; it's like if corpo music were good and indie. The writing of this game is very dated, 2020's meme culture and slang have sadly not aged well, but it makes conversations and references pretty charming. The game doesn't take itself seriously either, so the dated jokes mesh well with the absurdity of it all. I heard some people say it felt "Millennial" (whatever that meant), but I felt that the devs joked with this vibe rather than making it straight-faced (unlike YIIK, for example). The themes of this game are very on the nose by reflecting on the monotony, repetitiveness, and alienation of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jobs as an overworked intern, while also expressing the greed and corporate decisions of individualistic higher-ups. Its messages about the corporate world still hold true to this day, maybe even more with the advent of AI products and Crypto's near-collapse.

Doing 100% of the game is not only tedious and harsh, but you'll come out of it with a huge feeling of catharsis. It's a test of endurance and willpower. The Imposter Mode challenge will kick your ass. I feel like you have not truly understood the inner mechanics of the game until you've done Imposter Mode.

Since then, Aggro Crab went on to make hit after hit with Another Crab's Treasure and PEAK (as co-devs). The devs stopped working on a sequel for Going Under midway through development because of corporate burnout, which is pretty ironic. It's a shame, considering Going Under is a gem that still feels like it had potential for more. Plus, it never went "mainstream", despite its beauty and fluidity. I'll still always be waiting eagerly for Aggro Crab's next game.

The tongue-in-cheek references to startup culture feel a little too real at first, but it turns out that it's quite cathartic defeating the monsters and demons of capitalistic hustle-culture. For that alone, this game easily has replayability, and I'm not even finished playing it yet. On top of that, the bright color palette, the ridiculous coworkers, and the clear playfulness the devs brought to the game really shine. Do I say "Wee" every time Jackie goes down a slide? You bet I do!

The roguelite gameplay is snappy and chaotic in a fun way, and the soundtrack is genuinely one of the best I've heard in an indie game, the kind that gets stuck in your head for days. I do wish there was more content since the three main dungeons fly by pretty quickly, and the combat can feel a little janky when enemies start piling up and stunlocking you, but the accessibility options made it easy to stay in a fun flow state rather than banging my head against unfair difficulty. If you've ever survived a soul-crushing internship or a startup that called itself a 'family,' this game will hit in all the right ways — highly recommend picking it up on sale.

I Finally Understand The Millennial Plight

Going Under feels like the Corporate Memphis style figured out merchandizing and had a game made to really sell the idea. The story of a young woman taking her first internship and beginning her career is a simple enough story that feels like it could resonate with anyone.
Each of the characters from our protagonist Jackie to the office pet Ecclaire are brimming with personality and matching designs. They all come off as quirky and somewhat lovable especially as your relationships with each of them deepen. The gameplay is that of a dungeon crawling roguelite with a variety of skills and items that keep the game interesting for many hours.
I had heard of this game years ago and it had sat on my wishlist until a crazy sale. I had known of Aggro Crab's other games but had no idea this was one of theirs let alone their first. While there are some clues to this in terms of level design and gameplay it somehow perfectly fits what the game represents; true success comes from failure.

My whole review for this game boils down to one single mechanic that I did not enjoy at all. Which is the mechanic of breakable weapons and how it ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. Other than that everything else is great!
As a roguelike, this game feels like the junk food version of the greats with a goofy story, a lovable cast of characters and a decent soundtrack that gets you in the mood to tackle the dungeons. The gameplay itself is also fine albeit it feels more floaty than precise (Which is something that you do not want to feel in any difficult roguelike).
Overall, I give this game a solid 6.5/10 but if you don't mind the weapons' durability it definitely can give you a higher mileage.

It was ok. Its kind of quirky and funny at first, and the physics based pick up anything and destroy the room is a unique twist. The fact you can turn anything into a weapon is somewhat cool. The issues are in the execution. Combat feels janky, you just spam attack and theres a roll that only moves you 2 feet away. Theres no jump, no extra moves, and no different characters to use. You unlock these mentors that each give a different random buff, but it doesn't change the game much and you have to really grind and/or get lucky with random things to fulfill the challenges to level them up. Other than that currency is used to unlock more potential in run buffs to drop, and thats it for the metaprogression. This leads to lack of motivation and the fact that every run feels very repetitive and monotonous. You use a lot of the same weapons and fight a lot of the same enemies in similar looking rooms. Theres a few guns that run out of ammo quickly, but most of the fighting is melee weapons and only a few are truly distinct from one another, most are just different skins with slightly different stats. I couldn't get into the commentary on the monotony of work life so I just skipped it. It is nice they have accessibility options that you can tinker with if you inevitably start to get bored with things. Its also annoying none of the perks are properly described so you don't know what you're picking.

Thats about it, the game is kind of mediocre. Still gets a recommend but there's a lot of better roguelikes out there with better progression and combat, this is more of a novelty. 6.5/10

It's unbalanced, it's glitchy, and totally addicting. Rogue-like junk food that absolutely scratches that itch. Kind of like Hades, but with Breath of the Wild weapon durability. Also bought this for a dummy deal, so definitely worth the few dollars I paid for it.

I first tried this game on gamepass and dropped it after about one run. I have played enough rogue likes and was getting tired of the genre. Now that I had it on steam I was ready to actually give it a solid try.

The game is great. Controls are good, most deaths felt like deserved by my mistakes. The wins did feel like rng. Sometimes my build would be so unstoppable I would beat the bosses with no sweat. Those victories felt too easy. I get that it’s a hard balance but once you get some solid perks it gets hard to lose.

This is a hard, but very fun roguelike. There's options to help you get through the game if you don't like the standard experience so you can still enjoy the game the way you like to do. Very fun atmosphere and experience however, cool game, definitely worth a go

Honnêtement, j’ai eu un peu peur en lançant le jeu pour la première fois en comprenant qu’il s’agissait d’un roguelike, donc avec une loop de gameplay qui consiste surtout à entrer dans un donjon et à refaire plus ou moins la même chose. Mais je dois dire que j'ai été assez vite plongé dedans. L’histoire et l’humour décalé, que ce soit dans les dialogues ou dans la direction artistique, sont originaux et accrocheurs. L’ambiance générale et les musiques sont également réussies.

Cela dit, une certaine lassitude se fait ressentir assez rapidement. Il n’y a que trois donjons différents, ce qui limite la variété. On peut récupérer énormément d’objets pour se battre, mais au final on finit par se concentrer sur une poignée d’entre eux, simplement parce qu’ils sont bien plus efficaces que les autres. Il y a aussi beaucoup de compétences disponibles, mais elles ne modifient pas réellement le gameplay de manière significative.

Le mode imposteur ainsi que la complétion du journal (le rolodex) sont, selon moi, en grande partie responsables de cet aspect répétitif et fastidieux, ce qui m’a fait moins apprécier cette seconde partie du jeu. Je ne sais pas si j’aurais eu la patience de faire l’intégralité de l'aventure sans l'assistance proposée, qui est plutôt bien pensée.

This game is a hidden gem. Don't get me wrong Aggrocrab should be no stranger due to its other games, but this one alone deserves more attention.

This had been one of those games I'd usually overlook while browsing, big mistake.
I grabbed it expecting a simple play-every-so-often roguelite, and for a while it was. Until I did some actual progress, and oh boy it was rewarded.

This is one of those few games that keeps throwing content at you the more you play, and do not ask you for an insane amount of hours grinding (I'm looking at you: DeadCells, Hades... (great games too tho)).

The thing is, the gameplay itself it's not what makes this a good game. The art, used ironically to make a "corporate" feeling, the characters are actually fun, endearing and somewhat relatable, the humor this game handles it's pure gold, maybe a lil' milennial, but still pure gold nonetheless.

I also takes itself seriously enough, making fun on the precise moments, and getting really deepen into some parts, that you could even quote and frame, the story got me for real, the analogy of the title into the narrative, without spoiler, it's ultimately perfect.

It also keeps going and going, when you thing you're done with it, another layer of gameplay its there, in case you didn't have enough.

This was awesome. Great artstyle, quirky well written characters, a not overly lengthy dungeon design with fun items and abilities. Enjoyed the story alot ,really surprised me how fun this was.
Small critics for the out of nowhere difficulty spike in the lategame aswell as the updated stuff I guess. While the whole game felt fair and more designed to try out fun builds you suddenly had to go for the op stuff, otherwise you're getting your butt kicked.
Also could have used even more levels and items, but for the length this game had, its completely fine. Wanting more is a good thing in the end
Big recommend if you want a shorter corporate Hades that goes more for humor

Going under est un rogue like dans la même vibe qu'hadès : Vous devez parcourir des donjons, faire des quêtes pour vos compagnons dans le hub et faire progresser la narration jusqu'au climax.

L'ambiance du jeu est son principal point fort: C'est une satyre du modèle entreprenarial de la sillicon valley (en tout cas c'est ma référence principale), avec les pdg qui ne servent a rien, les managers tyranniques et les employés pressés comme des citrons.
Ayant travaillé dans le test informatique, certaines répliques ont beaucoup fonctionnées sur moi...C'est tellement le mood que j'avais a l'époque.
D'ailleur j'ai a la fois bien aimé et détesté le personnage de la developpeuse, qui n'arrête pas de sortir des take cyniques sur les corporations qui gorgent nos téléphones de traceurs a tel point de les faire ralentir et de baisser leurs performances. Pensez a acheter un meilleur téléphone, il faut rester au niveau pour les logiciels espions les plus recent!.
Désolé pour cette pointe de négativité, c'est a la fois l'avantage et le défaut du jeu: c'est certes humoristique, mais les écrivains n'hésitent pas a exposer leur dégout de ce modèle économique, auquel je suis d'accord.

Pour revenir au jeu, le principal point que j'ai moins aimé était le gameplay en lui même.
Que le jeu soit un peu "lent" et "rigide", qui vous force a timer vos attaques et faire preuve de prudence, c'est un aspect du jeu où je trouve qu'il est normal de se conformer. Par contre l'idée principale de se battre avec des fournitures de bureau qui se mettent a péter au bout de quelques coups, c'est amusant 30 minutes, ensuite ça deviens un peu lourdingue, surtout quand vous avez trouvé une super arme et que vous n'osez pas vous en servir car vous savez qu'elle va casser.
C'est en partie pour ça que je ne suis pas allé au bout des défis de l'impostrice (le endgame du jeu).

Bref voila, ça reste un super rogue like dans son ensemble! Je vous conseille d'aller au bout de l'histoire principale, car le climax est très chouette!

Sur ce je retourne a ma recherche de job, j'ai hâte de me démener pour savoir a quelle sauce je vais être mangé...

[b]La historia [/b] es fácil de entender, constantemente haciendo bromas y parodiando a las culturas empresariales toxicas. Su historia es más una excusa para introducir chistes y críticas. Yo creo que el objetivo es dar una pausa entre los dungeons que exploramos.

[b]Su apartado visual [/b] refleja el estilo “Corporate Memphis”, muy usado por las empresas en sus sitios web y publicidades. Aunque esta estética es conocida por ser bastante genérica y poder aplicarse a casi cualquier entorno, sus personajes mantienen un buen diseño sin salirse de este estilo visual. Es por esto que considero su apartado visual uno de sus principales atractivos.

Dejando de lado su apartado gráfico, este juego tiene una particularidad con respecta a muchos otros roughlikes: [b]las armas no son eternas [/b], por el contrario, se rompen muy fácilmente. Es normal que, en otros juegos de este género, uno se quede sin munición en las armas, con la posibilidad de volver a recargarlas más tarde, pero en este juego pasa algo diferente. Las armas se rompen di rápidamente debes agarrar otra arma del escenario. De esta manera el juego te obliga constantemente a probar diferentes armas. Personalmente no me termina de convencer que las armas duren tan poco antes de romperse. Si bien las armas que se rompen las podremos volver a encontrar, existen armas raras que uno desearía que durasen más.

Dejando de lado la durabilidad de las armas, [b]la cantidad de armas disponibles y habilidades o consumibles [/b] que nos ayudaran a abrirnos paso en la mazmorra me pareció algo escasa. Si bien existen muchas armas el bajo índice de aparición de las mismas produce muchas veces que uno agarre siempre las mismas.

[b]Nota: [/b] Me encontré con un bug casi al final del juego, donde pude volver para atrás en una parte que no debería ser posible. Estuve por resetear el nivel y tener que hacer todo de cero, pero por suerte pude salir de esa zona equivocada y proseguir por la correcta. Menos mal porque si lo hubiera tenido que hacer me hubiera molestado mucho. Repito, fue casi al final del juego en un área que solo aparece una vez en todo el juego así que no es tan grabe.

I paid 2 bucks for this game so I kinda feel bad for leaving a bad review but the truth is that it's not that great. It's quirky and the core idea is really interesting but the combat is janky as all hells. If you don't take this game too seriously it can be a fun game to play but the combat being janky and roguelite aspects being boring make for a not-that-fun experience for me. Difficulty-wise it's not too crazy and very approachable but the jank makes it more frustrating than fun.

Combat being clunky is one thing but the controls are also kind of bad and there's no "control remap" option which is once again, insane to me. Aside from that, there's little to no QoL or accessibility features.

This reminds me of difficult Nintendo roguelikes (think Scarescraper from Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon or Side Order from Splatoon 3) but with a corporate twist. This game is what I'd imagine if Silicon Valley was crossed with D&D. Highly recommend!

If i paid full price for this, i think i'd feel pretty underwhelmed. Fortunately, I got it for like £3, and i'd say it was at least worth 10. Really fun concept and characters - just a bit lacking when it comes to the depth of content. As it becomes more difficult, it doesn't really get more fun - I felt as if i just had to keep running into dungeons until i got a lucky seed (weapons, relics).

Still, the base gameplay is pretty fun, and a short(ish) game is always nice in the 75+ hour world we are plagued with. I'd give it a shot if its on sale, and you like easy to understand rougelikes with quirky characters

Going Under is a game I enjoyed quite a bit. There's a fun experience to be had, but not without some important caveats.

I'll start with the good:

- Combat is simple yet fun, the durability system forces you to constantly adapt and use the environment to your advantage.
- Dialogue is surprisingly good and serves as an effective motivator outside of intrinsic motivation. I was consistently looking forward to reading new dialogue after clearing each dungeon.
- The artistic style of the game is genius. There's so many small details and puns that made me laugh.

However, there's an elephant in the room that needs to be addressed. And that's the jank factor in this game. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is buggy. Some of the bugs I can remember off of the top of my head are:

- The first person curse causing the screen to endlessly spin
- I got softlocked in a Hauntrepeneur room and had to give up on a promising run
- Mentor perks on imposter mode. Feels like a 50/50 if the game decides if they work on not.

Now the bugs aren't a major concern in the base game, due to the meta progression skills you unlock, there's a ton of leeway for error. But what about in an environment where the game takes those perks away and demands near perfection?

Introducing Imposter mode, simultaneously the best and worst part of Going Under. It starts out reasonable on the lower difficulties and serves as an engaging challenge. Unfortunately, once you reach Overtime 5 or higher, the mode goes from difficult but fair to difficult but ♥♥♥♥ you. The higher overtimes are insanely punishing, which on its own, isn't inherently bad. The problem is the punishing nature combined with the jank factor of the game, making Imposter mode difficult for all the wrong reasons.

Overall, Going Under is a good game, even though I spent a large part of this review complaining. Nearly all of my problems stem from Imposter mode, which is completely optional. The important part of the game, the main story, is great and well worth experiencing. Definitely worth checking out if you're into action roguelites.

but man the gameplay is so pretensious, dodge is more like taking iframes from you rather giving it to you
only three dungeons, would have been better to make a linear game with build in that case if the rofls and literally everything else besides the gameplay is the key point of the game

+ The intro, and game itself absolutely nails the “Corporate Art” look.

+ Having lived in that region of North America for almost 20 years now, I immediately latched on to the “Pacific Northwest” setting, which only heightened the biting satire to me.

+ I was already laughing at the opening, but found the rest of the humour to be just as impeccable as that, if not better.

+ I love how colourful it is.

+ It's not just a satire on American workplaces, the complete lack of consideration for the person generating the income by said country, and the “friendliness” they exhibit, but the hipsters who found them, and try to fool people into thinking they're a family.

Stereotypical millennials, alongside those that try to be “hip” with them, as well.

+ The Drone-delivery lines.

+ Each failed business has its own loading screen, and progress lines.

+ They also have their own themes, shopkeepers, and enemies.

+ Curses are very interestingly-done, by my measure and change the game in unexpected ways.

[Spoiler]The first one I picked up gave me a ball and chain with “DEBT” on it that allegedly lasted 3 more combat encounters, and anchored you to the spot, almost. This run ended by an enemy picking it up and throwing it at me. I laughed.[/Spoiler]

+ Contains a bestiary.

+ Simple, yet effective combat...at least for the first half of the game.

+ You can get quests and level them up to equip mentors, which give special effects in-dungeon.

+ The effect items you find in dungeons are able to be “endorsed” if you use them enough, allowing you to equip one of them before you enter a dungeon/office.

+ In-game clocks show your system time.

+ Multiple costumes for your protagonist.

+ Each Dungeon has its own challenge you can accept in certain rooms.

+ In the time I played for, I did not encounter a single “wait for this to charge after X rooms, and use it once” item, which I almost never use in any game that has them.

[h3][b]Meh:[/b][/h3]

~ The game does not tell you when you've unlocked a costume, nor how to get ones that are currently-locked.

[h3][b]Nay:[/b][/h3]

- Very finicky trying to select things in-shop; sometimes you'll select the thing next to it.

- Not enough spacing between the “Date” options in WinkyDink, leading to more mis-selection.

- The game seems to progressively-break the more you play it, with me having every skill give an incorrect description of “Good for your bones” until restarting.

- “Complete the Rolodex/Bestiary” Achievement seems purpose-built to waste your time with rare spawns, and some skills making the cards unusable.

- The combat had many issues, and once you get to a certain point in-game, I fully-realised just how much it worked against you, and was reliant on not player skill, but mentor selection, and the pinned skill.

- I saw no point in using heavy attack.

- Throwing objects also seemed to lock you into being attacked, or wasting time by missing/undershooting.

- Ranged weapons are the same affair...

- ...and all of this is made worse by the fact the lock-on felt very “off” to me. Not only do you lock onto them as a character, the camera does, too, in way-too-tiny rooms, leading to you not being able to see everything.

- Dodge roll seems more like a way to leave you open to attacks than a way to evade them.

- Very cheap rooms with tonnes of enemies that seem to have 0 consideration placed in how fair, or survivable they are.

- You can also damage weapons before you pick them up, and sometimes have no choice but to hit them, leaving you without anything useful.

- All of this is emphasised by Impostor Mode, which gives you no pinned skill, no mentor, completely-unnecessarily removes the second skill of a floor from the end of it, and is required to 100% the achievements.

- To elaborate more upon that “Certain point”, [Spoiler]after grabbing all 3 of the relics, and beating what feels like a final boss, you instead “Go Under” and now have to do near-impossible, even with Swomp's Allied Monsters perk, cheap “true” dungeons, full of 2 enemies with ranged attacks, 3 “popcorn” monsters, and one tanky brute with armour that actively keep you away from doing much of anything in a single room.[/Spoiler]

[Spoiler]This results in a situation where all allies are deleted, you are being chipped at, and cannot hit literally anything. If you try to throw, the ranged ones get you. Try to close in and attack? Everything else will trash you, and the second ranged enemy take pot-shots. Even with all of the heart containers, this is still an uphill battle with a pyrrhic victory...[/Spoiler]

How is this at all fair, balanced, and possible to do for literally anyone?!

- Some mentor skills seemed absolutely useless.

- I did not have a use for over half of the skills I unlocked.

- Most of this cannot be known until you're several hours into the game, and likely is not evident from the demo.

While I was very much enjoying the game until the spoilered bit, and was fully-planning on giving it an “Amicably-Approved”, the intensity, and depth of the cracks that kept it from “fantastically-favoured” were only emphasised once that threshold was reached 11 hours into the game.

The combat went from “fine” to “woefully-ineffective”, difficulty from “fair” to “because hard!”, and both of these, coupled with the time sink needed to get it completely killed any interest in even so much as trying to continue, all the while totally erasing any good will had towards it.

Thus, “Merit-Mixed” has been foregone in-favour of it being...

UNA MALDITA JOYAAA!!
Miren la verdad no esperaba mucho ya que no solo lo compre por $11 pesos Mxn.
Pero tampoco me llamaba por el estilo visual. Pero la verdad me enamoro.
Bajo mi punto de vista yo diria que lo unico malo que tiene es el combate, Ojo no digo que sea malo solo que de repente se siente medio torpe pero fuera de eso todo lo de mas esta 10/10
desde el carisma de todos los personajes, hasta los enemigos y sus variedades la cantidad de armas y habilidades etc...
Ahora quiero dejar en claro que yo no pagaria full precio, pero en defensa del juego aparte de jodido, casi no gasto mas de $200 en juegos. raras son las veces que desembolso tal cantidad de liquides kkkk
Pero mientras tenga a partir de 30% de descuento para mi ya vale la pena comprarlo :)

A comedic and colorful hack & slash with a lot of artistic charm and relatable modern satire for things like working in an office, dating apps, crypto-bros, etc...

I initially bought it just because of the corporate memphis art style, but quickly got into Jackie's odd adventure and started both liking the humor and the fast-paced combat style with so many whacky weapons like cupid arrows, drivable cars and submachine guns.

There's an immense amount of replayability with a lot of unlockables including all sorts of game-altering skills, the gameplay is always a little random and unique, and the long list of missions adds a lot of difficulty and even some mini-bosses! There's also some Enter the Gungeon mechanics like curses. In many ways the perfect roguelike + dungeon crawler + hack & slash.

《实习生大闹公司》作为一款rouguelike游戏，其实做的挺一般的，随机性远不如《以撒的结合》之类优秀老前辈，估计制作组自己也看出了这一点，所以安排了一个非常肝的购买技能机制，甚至为了避免玩家不够肝又弄了一个冒充者模式，强行延长游玩时间，因此从游戏本身的角度看这就是个不太成熟的一般rouguelike游戏。
但是制作组虽然在游戏性上的经验不够丰富，在其他方面我觉得做的却算是不错，游戏剧情聚焦于职场，用近乎于荒诞的方式将现代的一些流行要素比如独角兽公司、初创团队、比特币、交友软件、第三方等资本概念给怪物化了，其实当真的用怪物的方式表现这些内容的时候，你就会发现资本吃人确实是真的，剥离了高大上的概念，其实这些东西就是很纯粹的商业手段，从这点来说，制作组确实也是有一定野心的。
而且我对于游戏的名片机制可以说是又爱又恨，游戏是有图鉴的，但与大部分类似作品不一样，这游戏的图鉴你得通过名片这个道具才能收集，通过名片造成最后一击，才能让这个怪物进入图鉴，这听起来容易，可问题是在游戏中你只能装备三个道具，名片占了一个就会让你游玩过程中很难受，而且最难受的是所有的道具还有耐久度，这点真的很烦人，很多时候你打不过boss，并不是你棋差一招，而是你用完了场地上所有的道具，而名片机制导致这个过程充满了挑战性，你得谨慎规划自己的道具使用，当然最绷不住的是游戏的所有BOSS也是需要名片才能纳入图鉴的，所以这就要求玩家的操作需要不断的提升了，这点确实很有挑战性也确实很烦人。
其实从一个独立游戏的角度看，这游戏其实还是挺有意思的，但它不够有意思，制作组在游戏中也展现了很多自己的思考，只能说制作组在制作这款游戏的时候多少还有点青涩，但也不错了。

This game is so fun! I am new to dungeon crawlers or these hybrid arcade style. I'm not really used to anything besides increasing the characters strength/weapons/stats. This asks for you to improve your skill level after every run (based on memorization). At first I was like no hecking way. The environment colors and objects are very interesting, so that alone was making me giggle. Then I got determined to hit combos. I'm not even half way through but I'm going back for more. In the meantime, if you are on the fence with this one, I say do it.
Their title "Another Crab's Treasure" shouldn't be missed.

Going Under é um roguelike com estrutura narrativa, não somente o personagem explora uma rota, mas há um motivo para visitar cada uma delas. Quanto a quesitos técnicos GU apresenta uma variedade pequena de inimigos, dungeons e armas, essas últimas mesmo tendo uma quantidade absurda de equipamentos não se diferenciam funcionalmente. Por mais duras que essa crítica possa parecer Going Under consegue se destacar por ter uma história charmosa e um looping de gameplay simples que consegue engajar o jogador por um bom tempo.
