I'm enjoying this one a lot, I'd say this TD game is perfect for anyone who wants to dip their toes into a TD-style or genre game. Instead of mazing or placing towers, in this game you primarily use "trap" or towers that get walked-over by mobs. You have to strat how to kill certain types and clear levels efficiently. What's neat about this game is when you clear a level with stars, you get gems to permanently upgrade stats and attacks on towers. But you can't just grind them, as they are awarded upon completion tiers of levels only. Very fun game, graphics aren't so bad, gameplay is smooth and it doesn't waste your time. Has speed up modes, etc.
As a TD enthusiast I think the 5 dollar price point is solid and the game is fun!

It is not an amazing tower defense game and it gets really hard at some point but I enjoyed my time with it enough anyways.
However the game makes it blatantly obvious that it is a mobile port, but at least it does not have microtransations implemented anymore.

말그대로 무난함의 끝판왕입니다..
이 이상 할 말이 없을 정도로 특색이 없습니다.
바닥에 함정을 지을 곳이 적기 때문에 타워의 물량으로 우다다 때리는 식이 안되는 플레이여서 약간 아쉽습니다.
마법을 좀 더 타이밍 맞게 잘 사용해야하는 것이 강조되는 게임이네요.
디펜스류 게임이 다 거기에서 거기라는 느낌이 들어서 조금 아쉽지만 할만합니다.
맵이 진행될 수록 똑같은 적이 철판 좀 더 깔고 나와서 돌려막기에 스테이지가 무슨 별 720개까지 모아야하는데다가
이지 노멀 하드 난이도 세개까지 나눠놔서 이걸 전부 하시게 된다면 어마무시한 시간을 쓸 것 같습니다..
게임을 계속하다가 똑같은 맵이 계속 반복되고 함정도 땅 불 얼음 마법류 네개 돌려쓰는게 다인 것 같아서

Regarding the price the game is ok. its a simple tower deffend game. it is hard even on some lower level under level 10.

I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

An OK defense type game. Nothing that reinvents the genre or anything, but a satisfying time waster.
Es un TD basico, tenes 4 tipos de trampas y algunos poderes que usan cristales para tirarlos.
no esta mal el concepto, los diseños de los 40 niveles safan, musica safable, sonidos semi decentes, en si no tengo mucho que decir en contra del titulo, pero digamos que no innova en nada, no tiene carisma, pone algunos graficos semi pasables, micro variedad de bichos y ya esta, no profundiza en mas nada.
Tiene cromos y logros y Steam cloud, que son un Plus, pero no hay workshop, no hay ladder y solo tiene traducciones en 2 idiomas...
Mereceria un voto neutral pero no existe dicha categoria, compralo si solamente vas a pasar un rato y te gustan los TD

Un TD trappes sympa comme on les aime, les décors sont super et on se prends vite au jeu d'aligner les cartes les unes après les autres. Alors oui bien sur ça sera répétitif mais comme tous les TD.
Les cartes et les succès apporteront un plus, a prendre en promo évidemment comme tous les jeux.
Nice tower defence game. Quite simple really, and different from other tower games in some aspects:
(1) instead of towers, you use traps;
(2) you can use "spells" that will help you survive (these spells have a cool down period before being usable again);
(3) you will be awarded gems each time you pass a level, some monsters provide also gems upon their demise;
(4) you can use the gems you are awarded to call on spells that have not finished their cool down period;
(5) the same gems help you improve your abilities and improve your traps;
(6) there are 4 different campaigns to play, each one having an easy, normal and hard setting with 20 levels each;
(7) the variety of "enemies" is good, some are quick, others extremely beefy (hard to kill), some help others become invisible (immune to your traps), some fly or are extremely quick, etc.
All in all, a nice tower game that can even be considered relaxing. The only thing that I do not like is that the game is too easy. If you are looking for a challenging game, and want to sweat through every minute of it, this is not the game for you. The achievements are not difficult to get, you can unlock every achievement by completing two campaigns only. Recommended nonetheless for the easy and relaxing factor (everything doesn't have to be competitive and stressful, does it?). It provides good entertainment value, if you get it for sale you won't regret it.

This is one of the several tower defense games made by 8th Floor game company and released a few years back. This one follows the same line of game play that the others do. They have towers in fixed locations, four tower types, a select set of enemy types - the same in all their games, an upgrade system for your defenses and a set of panic weapons. That's enough sophistication that you can enjoy it. The game as it is currently available on Steam plays well and does not have some of the issues reported in earlier reviews. It is an "okay" tower defense game with decent graphics. Significant issues are that the towers don't have much synergy, some are virtually useless and the fields are all so alike that it feels like you are playing the same thing over and over again. No new strategies evolve with higher levels. These, and similar problems are game design issues which plague this offering.
I think it works well, if you want something to play for short periods of time in the tower defense category. It is not an addictive game that you want to keep playing for hours on end. I have played a lot of tower defense games. While this is not among the best, it is worth playing, so I give it a weak "yes", since the Steam reviews only allow "yes" and "no". If I were to rate it on a 5 star scale, I would give it 2.5 stars (in the middle).

Solo vino por los cromos ♥
一开始还觉得有点意思，在地上放陷阱的塔防。
但后来发现实在单调得可怕，敌人只有一条路可走就已经够无聊的了。
陷阱和法术解锁完之后也没有新的了，敌人也一直是那几种，玩法也不会有什么变化。
就这样玩了十几关，看到后面还有几十关，决定放弃了，没意思。

what a crap
Holy mother, what a garbage port. This must be by far the worst TD i have played, i have played crappy ones yes but this beats all of them.
The Bad:
1)Mobile port
2)Freaking 0 hotkeys, ESCAPE does not even work, everything must be clicked with mouse
3)Settings do not even save properly, it resets the audio back to full
4)Game does not tell what kinda of monsters are in each wave so player has to guess which "tower" supposed to build, which leads to trial and error to remember every wave, very punishing.
5)Freaking TINY map layouts, unbelievable.
6)NO REWIND
7)You have given ability right of the bat, but the problem is once you click on ability you cant UNCLICK IT, even with right mouse button it will just waste the ability

Gnumz: Masters of Defense possui uma proposta diferente do tower defense tradicional utilizando armadilhas ao invés de torres, na prática isso significa que todas as "torres" são ativadas apenas quando algum inimigo estiver sob a mesma, ou seja, todas as armadilhas são do tipo dano de área, e isso obviamente modifica o gameplay em relação ao tradicional estilo do gênero. Abaixo seguem algumas críticas/observações:
- Todos os tower defense da 8Floor são muito parecidos, portanto o sistema de upgrades, esquema de divisão de fases, tipo de magias, o próprio layout geral é muito similar ao demais jogos da desenvolvedora;
- O jogo é dividido em 4 capítulos com 20 fases cada, são 3 níveis de dificuldade (fácil, médio e difícil), e um total de 720 estrelas;
- As conquistas são relativamente fáceis, porém há erros na descrição do objetivo de 3 delas: "Hair’s Breadth" (Complete a level with only one piece of ore remaining) = Correto é completar um nível com apenas um coração restante, "Wizard" (Use 200 spells) = Correto é completar um nível sem utilizar magia (obviamente funciona apenas nos níveis com magia já está desbloqueada) e "Hard Worker" (Complete a level without using spells) = Correto é utilizar 200 magias;
- Focar nos upgrades certos faz muita diferença no progresso, minha sugestão é maximizar os seguintes upgrades na ordem "Loot from Enemies" > "Budget at level start" > "Fire Trap Cost" > "Ice Trap Cost" > "Fire Trap Damage" > "Ice Trap Damage" > "Spell Cost".

Tirando o fato da semelhança (padronização seria a palavra ideal), o jogo em si é bem decente com um desafio focado no público casual, portanto compensa comprar pelo preço.

При всей любви к жанру Tower Defense, в эту игру пришлось заставлять себя играть. Прошел до конца один эпизод и решил, что увидел достаточно. Игра каким-то образом умудрилась быть и слишком примитивной, и излишне сложной одновременно. Что я имею в виду: расстановка башен - примитивна, на дорожке есть несколько стандартных полей для размещения башен и почти безразлично, в каком порядке вы разместите свои башенки, разве что телепортирующую назад башню нужно ставить в самом конце пути. При этом каких-то неочевидных улучшений для каждого из четырех типов башен так много, что, даже полностью пройдя обучение, так и не смог запомнить предназначение большинства улучшений (возможно, просто был невнимателен). Еще удивило, что прям подряд бывают уровни с одной и той же конфигурацией карты, отличающиеся лишь количеством волн или порядком нападающих монстров. Халтура, однако :)
Bölümleri zorlaştıracam diye kafayı yemişler, oyuncuya özgürlük tanımıyor. Oyun senden beklediği ilerleme şekli var onu yapmanı zorluyor buda hoş değil. Oyuna güncelleme falan hiç gelmemiş 2015 te çıkan bir oyuna incelemeyi 2021 sonunda yazıyorum dahada gelmez sanıyorum. Eğer yeni bir oyun olsaydı gelişmesini bekler ne olacağını görmek isterdim ama nihayetinde mal ortada çok eskileri var; say say bitmez!

A very average tower defense game that might keep you entertained for two or three hours before the novelty wears off. The rock-paper-scissors approach with the different elements is a nice feature but it didn't really grab me enough to make me want to play beyond the two and a half hours I put in. At such a cheap price it has enough value to scrape a thumbs-up.
Awful port. Fixed resolution, no hotkeys, fast mouse clicks are ignored.

I have played this game many times over the years when I am in the mood for a unique and intriguing CASUAL GAME and it never gets old. It's challenging and one has to use ones brain cells to determine strategy. The graphics and SFX are great with many details and unique maps intertwined, which is sadly unusual in most casual games. Wish there were sequels. It's truly a great game within the genre, despite the nay sayers, most who probably are not advanced enough to figure it out, lol.

Снимаю шляпу, довелось мне завладеть незавидной Gnumz: Masters of Defense, которую я изнасиловал вдоль и поперек, а если отложить лукавство, то акт насилия пришелся по мою душу. Столько часов отдал этой стратегии, столько надежд таил по поводу ее качества. Казалось, друзья, что еще совсем немножко и игра раскроет свой потенциал, утопит меня в разнообразии механик и стратегических свершений, но жизнь в очередной раз захлопнула дверь в комнату радости, обливая сохлое тело горючей смесью. Горю от досады, но выскажу пару ласковых по поводу Gnumz: Masters of Defense.
Если вы хотите получить от игры не только геймплей, но и раскусить плоды сюжетной линии, то смело захлопывайте пыльный том этого кошмара. Стратегия бурлит всевозможными багами, которые перекрывают кислород всплывающим сообщениям персонажей. Монологи гномиков-вояк можно почитать только в первой главе, а дальше разработчики пустили все на самотек, так что о сюжете сходу забываем. И ладно бы сюжетные вставки просто пропадали, но они еще и стопорят все прохождение уровней! Ситуацию спасает многократный выход в меню, листание настроек и другие манипуляции с вкладками, но все эти баги уничтожают настроение, убивают интерес к прохождению и не дают с должным любопытством прокачать свои способности.
О, да мы же затронули тему оригинальных способностей и вариативность прокачки талантов, но что же это летит в воздухе, друзья, неужели очередной камень метит в огород?!
Система талантов очень сильно облегчает судьбу нашего гномского народца. Можно удешевить некоторые постройки, увеличить силу нанесения урона, прокачать магические способности, наладить в организме еврейские корни, дабы получать с недотеп побольше золота...погодите, а куда это мы так разогнались, игра требует ужесточить сложность уровней, посему выдает финт ушами и никак не улучшает некоторые параметры, пусть вы и потратили на них часть накопленной валюты! Визуально ползунки идут вверх, кристаллы с баланса снимают, а вот в самой игре ничего не происходит. Невероятно обидный и недопустимый баг, который никто из разработчиков не поспешил исправить.
Gnumz: Masters of Defense крайне похожа на мобильную игру, но это точно не минус. Простенькая графика, удобное расположение всех талантов, правда руками играть было бы куда проще! В данной стратегии богатый ассортимент вражеских чудиков, которые будут ненасытно нападать на наши запасы драгоценностей, а вот разнообразием ловушек в этом проекте даже не пахнет. Каждую "башню" можно прокачать несколько раз за уровень, а под конец вообще переделать в нечто уникальное, но проблема заключается в том, друзья, что игра не дает нам ничего универсального. Башни лупят только по определенным врагам, а по каждой линии будут шествовать сразу несколько видов монстров. И если вы не поставили ледяных лезвий, то все летающие мерзости пролетят мимо вас, а если же выставить только лезвии, то они не нанесут никакого урона гигантским пучеглазам, а если...ну вы воняли, верно? И казалось бы, ну выставь ты на каждую линию по несколько ловушек, что кусают разных врагов, а игра кусает вас за глаза, выдавая смешное количество позиций под постройку сооружений. Короче, ребят, разработчики посмеялись в сторону баланса и разнообразия, а вся игра изначально создавалась для неустанного гринда со стороны покупателей...тут даже зачатки доната есть, умора, но факт.
И все же игра не так ужасна, точнее в ней есть свои плюсы, но они настолько бесхребетные, что их с легкостью можно преобразить в досадные промахи.
Взять, к примеру, большое количество уровней, ну разве это минус? Три больших мира, которые отличаются визуальным оформлением и стилем, а по факту разработчики опять схалтурили. Большая часть уровней вообще одинакова, а отличаются задания между собой только количеством доступных слотов под постройки. И таких примеров в бестолковой стратегии целый легион! Начнешь хвалить хоть что-нибудь, а под водой лежит веселый камень, что отобьет пальцы до состояния хрустящих чипсов.

В итоге я потратил довольно много времени на прохождение всех уровней, но мне откровенно не понравилось. Без скидок игра стоит непропорционально дорого для своего качества, а на распродажах ее отдают за несчастную пригоршню монет, но на мой взгляд лучше не тратить деньги на откровенное разочарование. Тут даже не в деньгах дело, а в потере драгоценного времени, если уж гриндить, то ради удовольствия, а не ради бесполезной руды, которую тратишь на сломанные параметры. Не советую!

Eh, I didn't get that far into it. Because it had already gotten grindy. It's like hitting the paywall in a F2P game, but not including the option to spend money. But I don't see anything new here to make it worth pushing on.

[h1] Addictive, limited, little bit unbalanced "Floor"-defense game [/h1]
Instead of towers, we use floor mats. Not really room for creativity in a possible path, you use the right set of tools at the right location and with the right upgrades and you might succeed towards progression. The unbalance here is the limitation. Other then that, it's another fine "tower-defense-like-game".
Would I recommend it? Ehm... Only if it's on discount, not for the full price. It advertises with lots of tradingcards, but that has nothing to do with the game. Same as complaining about the fact that this is a mobile-port. Who cares???

Not the type of Tower Defense you are expecting. In TD games, you expect ranged towers and good synergy combo to make full use of the buffs. This? Don't bother with it. You may think you can get used to this idea of Tile Defense. Even with full upgrades after hours of grinding, you still can't 3 stars unless you burn crystals on spells. Some stages got lack of building options that forces you to spam spells while burning crystal to reset their cool down. Not very well thought out... This may work for some of you. But I want good-old TD like those in the classic WC3 custom maps. Not this crap...
If it's on sale yes i would recommend, it scratches my tower defense itch and while it is grindy it's not too bad and doesn't get too frustrating.
Just completed the game and got all the achievements (a rare occurrence for me), please note the developers descriptions for some of the achievements are a little bit awry but they are doable.
Probably a mobile port but it holds its own and is way better than most ports.
I'd give it 6.5/10

Végre egy olyan Creobit TD, ahol van értelme minden tornyot használni, nem érdemes a legszimpatikusabbat fejleszteni, amennyire csak lehet.

Gnumz: Masters of Defense is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cheap lazy cash grab from mobile devs, Creobit/8Floor. It's an isometric "tower defense" game where you tap your phone screen to lay floor traps for waves of enemies. The developers added a "twist" where you need to use specific coloured traps to kill specific types of enemies.
If you could make a list of the things tower defense games don't need, a lame rock-paper-scissors colour scheme is going to be at the top of that list. It detracts from the game rather than adds to it. The $5 USD price tag is about the same as Orcs Must Die or Sanctum, and they're not garbage mobile apps. Impossible to recommend this against the competition.
Speaking of garbage, the mobile devs think PC gamers should pay $5 for this mobile app when it's only $3 on the app stores. Where do they get off thinking we should pay them extra money for a crappy mobile app, just so we can pretend our gaming rigs are iPhones? That's an unacceptable insult to PC gamers.
