i paid for this when it first came out and i wasnt able to play but years later now that its back im able to play and its great fun i've just put 10 hours straight and gotta say its great to play more open world pvepvp games likke this

Starting experience
- Tutorial is braindead, literally mental torture that doesn't have to do anything with a game. 0/10
- Base level grind (takes 10-20h until lvl 100 depending on approach you pick) exists in skill based directional combat game? Also there are unnecessary usage experience locks on armours and weapons (it could make sense to make them only for the last tier of weapons not for all tiers)- altogether it makes you almost useless first X hours of your play time, frustrating 2/10
- skill floor to play is actually lower than it seems as 1h shield with keybind and learning kick defense (to decent level within 30min, and yes there is no tutorial for that) make for a pretty low entry skill requierement, but it’s not advertised anywhere in tutorial or game discord, you need to learn it from players 3/10
Overall strong 1.66/10
Combat
Design
- Combat has certain disbalances at high level that forcibly put a skill cap (defense skill cap is much lower than offense skill cap, so once you reach defense skill cap you can pretty much draw all the duels).
Which then leads to cheesing regen, bandaging and overgearing to win.
- yellow vs red swings have questionable interaction design, as yellow attacks don t interrupt and it often ends with red vs yellow swing exhange where both players unnecessarily lose hp, also exchange windows are quite big so it s hard to protect yourself with being first to hit (like in Bannerlord for example), and it makes it much harder to duel naked as enemy can often trade you to death w his yellow swings. Overall it ends up favouring overgearing over skill, it’s less skill based then it would be without it, and less skill based than Bannerlord due to different influence of overgearing on interactions.
- cav combat is in weird place and breaks some things tied with lootzone
- archers have some annoying perks that will frustrate you ass melee player (and poor/no explanation how to use archer class and how to build character stats, equipment and perks- tutorial strikes again)
Overall combat design 7/10
Combat experience
-duels due to design flaws 6.5/10
- sieges, sometimes really massive (for important locations), often coordinated by top guilds and their shotcallers so the whole nations knows what to do.
Suffers from lack of some micro engagement in certain situations, like when 2 shieldwalls meet and there is no room to pass around, shield mechanics are quite simple (simpler than Bannerlord, but Bannerlord’s are moderately simple too) so it can feel stale in certain situations until they get solved in like next 10-30 minutes 7.5/10
-group fights on smaller scale (5-20 ppl on each side), probably the best aspect of combat.
Suffers from cheesing regen that starts within 2-3s and poor pursuing.
It often ends by 20 vs 20 clash where only 2-3 ppl get looted due to those problems.
Cav and archers somewhat ruin experience due to their mechanics, also only cav and cav archers give ability to really pursue, it’s in a weird place as cav needs a special build (almost usless on foot) and doesn’t have high “kill ability” so they can’t do much problems to a big group retreating but effectively kill any kind of small scale roaming.
If you try to roam in small scale you’ ll get terrorised by cav and cav archers acting like running rats that won t fully engage, but if you stay there their reinforcements will come… 8/10
Overall combat 7/10
Crafting
-tied to farming, fishing, gathering, some PvE, and some PvE/PvP cross events
-very extensive processes, many recipes, very complex system, but it s mostly simple in terms:
get recipe-> gather mats → make another mat → make certain part needed for something…→ finally make some equipment part.
-There are no like interesting aspects where you nned to stay focused when forging and playing some kind of good minigame (there are literally android forging games that you could implement in the game and it would be much more skill dependant and much more interesting)
-economy ended broken in the old GV, but most games fail to make functional economy system as it s not an easy feat, and player-driven economy often leads to exploits and market control which breaks economy
-overall 7.5/10
PvE
- not very interesting, mobs can get in your way when fighting which can be very annoying, especially in the loot zone
- most of the time mobs function as resources as many have unique drops needed for crafting (except for annoying useless ones that just interrupt your open world fights), it can be fun to fight around them with enemies
- they re not very fun but can give good money if you collect the ones with resources, and you need to find your way to earn in GV (you need to work to live sadly, it s possible to live just from fighting but you probably won t be very rich, especially as solo player)
-PvE/PvP cross events can be very interesting when challenged by enemy, basically group of players ends fighting around who’ll kill the mobs and get important resources (and loot the enemies)
Overall 6.5/10
Loot System
- it s partial loot system, at most you can lose 2 parts of equipment (armour set is made of 6 parts + weapon + shield, so 8 in total), or up to 500 resources you have in inventory, for example you have 999 coal in one inventory slot and enemy will be able to loot 500 (5 stacks of 100)
- last update’s small lootzone ends being a fighting ground of top guilds in prime time, or rat terrorists (cav and archer cav) plagued zone when not in prime time (hopefully the lootzone will grow again)
-and regen, poor pursuit and easy disengagement lower amount of loot you get from fights, bcs very few participants of the fight get actually looted, especially when top guilds face eachother and cover fallen guildmates :/ Overall 7/10
Unique features
-State of wars (SoWs) with huge sieges, big siege events in prime time, 3 way nation fight event Valley of Death which is scheduled daily at certain hours
-somehow emotionally very engaging, dramatic guild and nation diplomacy, guild and player rivalries
many ppl form friendships, play groups, some even found gfs of bfs playing, some unfortunately died and community remembers them, the special ones even stalked the game and devs
-if you stay playing for 100h + and join a guild as beginner you ll most likely get hooked, like smoking, take 100 cigars and you re hooked
Overall grade for the game a dramatic 7/10, there are things to improve, but in current state game can sometimes feel like 5/10 and sometimes like 10/10, really varying experiences depending on what is happening and of what you’re taking a part in.
This game was fire. I'm ready for it to get online services shutdown a second time. I'm ready, to get hurt again.

Muy buen juego medieval, con bastante crafteo, pve y un pvp masivo que no se ve en otros juegos. Si tienen que pulir algunas cosas, pero no todo es perfecto en esta vida.
ONLY MMO that's ever actually been everything I wanted in one. genuinely, in my entire life no game has been as good as this IMO.

Super clunky and stiff movement , Terrible graphics , Combat is by far ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Bannerlord has better combat than this game and that games combat is legit ass. Dont even waste your time with this BS.... ITS GOING FREE FOR A REASON

I don't have much hours in this game, but I don't remember being tutorial being so long. Everything else is the way I remembered. Is the launching game in the future going to be as long as it is now? That's all the complain I really have. Long tutorial.
Hence the don't liking the tutorial part... I LOVE this game. This is where our friends love doing when we wake up log in and fight to the death. Arrows, crossbows bolts flying over our heads, Hot flaming fire poured on her heads when attacking enemy castles. Crafting, farming, planting, and my favorite was fishing.
The game itself is great.

Good Game
I played this game a long time ago and came back to it for relaunch. I played for probably a combined 6-8 hours today. Originally I played with a group of friends and we all came into it at once. If you ARE going to play this game, get a group and get into voice with them. Playing this game with PUGs is genuinely awful and I would rather gnaw my arm off than play this anymore.
Melee mechanics are basically mount and blade and older players have no problem cheesing it. If you wanna do archery instead, the game limits your arrows to 15 or so, gives you one every 15 minutes, you're forced to wear the lightest armor, and you do about 1/3rd to 1/4th of the damage melee users do. so GL with that.
A few more gripes
if you're not high enough level, and what level that is isn't clear, you're not allowed to use the teleports that take you to the ongoing fights or events.
If you want to use the travel service to get to the fight instead, you'll need lots of money. No money? ♥♥♥♥ you, walk. Some of these events and fights happen easily a 10-20 minute walk from where the game puts you at login btw

This is one of the best pvp game ever made...players who have played it as much as i did can tell you, it's a game you never get tired of playing, there is so much you can do and it's addictive :D. Exciting directional combat, large armies fights, sieges with catapults, rams..., raiding parties, one on one arena fights, etc... That's just the fighting side of things, you can farm, forage, mine, cut trees, hunt, do quests, explore... Being in a Guild is a great way to get with friends to experience everything the game has to offer, find one that is the right fit for you.
The community is composed of international players which makes it very interesting and inspiring to see everyone come together and work toward a common goal in the three respective factions (Ismir, Midland,Sangmar).
Is it perfect? it wasn't. But let's see what changes the new devs made and give a new well informed opinion after some playtime. I'm curious to see, they said they listened to our feedback so we can have high hopes!!
One thing is certain though...I can't wait to START PLAYING AGAIN on MARCH 23rd 2026 !!!

This game is unique. It is a sword swinging genre. You are warrior in the olden times. Massive 100v100 fights. Get the feel of what it was like to be in the chaos of large battles, swords and shields clanging in your ears. Every character another player like you trying to survive the madness. Open world skirmishes and pvp. Castle sieges and guild fights. Claim your territory and defend against rival guilds. Manly 1v1 duels of honor.
One of my all time favorites. This game coming back to life is like a dream come true for me. I missed it and was looking for a game like it, alas none are there. This is the only of its kind. Give it a chance! Gamigo is bringing this gem back to life. I would recomend this to anyone who likes swinging sword skill games, or has interest in the genre.

Bardzo fajna gra w ogromnym wielkim potencjałem po częsci nawet wykorzystnanym. Niestety po latach wydawca zamknął gre i pozamykał serwery bardzo nieładnie. Jednak teraz patrze a ma być jakieś wznowienie? No mega się cieszę. Mam ogromne nadzieje ale też i obawy. Jakby też zrobili możliwość grania w single player + gra po sieci lokalnej w razie "zamknięcia" przez wydawce było by super. Zachowajcie średniowieczny klimat i działajcie - i zrócie też jakiś single z fajną fabułą :) pozdrawiam i powodzenia

Athero is a special kind of kid don't listen to what he has to say. This game has it bugs but is still one of the only Skill based not PTW games. The feeling of standing in a gatehouse with 50-100 other players while being swarmed by the enemy is amazing. With a little backing this game could be one of the greats. Even more than it already is.

Played it a little bit back in the day on one of the cheapest PC's I ever owned, sadly refunded it due to performance problems. Now i have a proper PC and went to check it out last year to find it was shut down, grateful to have the opportunity to experience this game and cannot wait for it's re-release!
