Frontlines: Fuel of War presents an interesting premise for its story by focusing entirely on a global conflict centered around oil and fuel. This grounded setting provides a solid backdrop for a nice mix of boots on the ground action and vehicular missions that keep the gameplay variety high. One of the most unique features is the redeployment system because instead of simply restarting from a checkpoint when you die you are given several lives that replenish with each mission. This mechanic makes your character feel less like an invincible super soldier and more like a grunt in a larger war machine which adds a gritty layer of realism to the experience. The gadgets are also a highlight of the arsenal and I found the rail gun particularly fun to use against the opposition.
However there are several balancing issues that can make the campaign feel like a bit of a slog. The enemies often feel extremely spongy compared to the player and their pinpoint accuracy can be incredibly frustrating to deal with. This is made worse by the fact that they seem to possess rapid fire snipers that can pick you off from a distance with ease. There is also a very limited selection of weapons to choose from throughout the game which makes the combat feel a bit repetitive over time. I also noticed that enemies have a tendency to basically spawn camp you at certain points which leads to some cheap deaths. Most of the missions eventually boil down to the same few objectives just moved to different locations so the sense of discovery fades pretty quickly.
Overall Frontlines: Fuel of War is a competent shooter with a compelling narrative hook and some creative mechanical ideas like its lives system and gadgetry. While the enemy balancing and repetitive mission structure prevent it from being a top tier title it remains an interesting piece of military fiction for fans of the genre who want a different perspective on battlefield progression.

It actually isn't bad. Even back when this was released, you know it wouldn't have avoided the bargain bin for too long. Go into it with that mindset. You're in Blockbuster, kind of broke, it's 4.99... from that starting point, it's fun.
It does have a lot of issues. It's a sort of open-world adjacent thing where you're dumped in a large open level with the option to tackle objectives in any order, but it leaves the levels all feeling like MP maps with bots... which I guess they basically are.
Speaking of bots, your team mates are headless chickens. They'll run around not being particularly useful, blocking your shots, blocking doorways, not really being lethal to the enemy - and that's all fine - until you reach objectives where it feels like they designed it for 2 players, e.g. holding 2 different sites for 10 minutes against waves of enemies. You'll run from one to the other recapturing it, with your allies seemingly incapable of recapturing them or even defending them. They just bound around like puppies who are happy to be with you. It's odd because it seems there was never a way to play this co-op.
So yeah, in the world of endless choice of games, this game isn't gonna wow you, but it is fun to mess around in for a couple of hours. Two words: Bargain. Bin.
Btw, initially I couldn't get this to work, spend some time messing around with old versions of PhysX before I realised I hadn't tried disabling Steam overlay - which solved everything.
My god this game is terrible, I mean not minds eye level, but very close to it.
it's "open world" design is really just a open area.
Sure I had fun with some tanks and stuff, only for it to be ruined by respawning enemies in your face, and annoying objectives. The guns are so inaccurate it's a joke. The story is of course non existent pretty much.
It's just a mess, the best thing I can say about this game is that it doesn't require any patching, you just straight up have the game running, and I had 0 crashes.
I think the name frontlines is pointless, you don't really feel like there's a "frontline" in the way you'd think, it's not like enemy respawns back in their line, nah
they respawn on their literal point of capture, so I don't really see any frontline here.

A shooter where shooting isn't fun.
I remember wishing so badly I could pick this game up as a kid when it came out. But there was no chance my pc could have run it at the time. The futuristic military style really appealed to me back then. All these years later, decided to pick it up and play through the single player. Definitely a game of its time. Its nothing exceptional, but a fun fps, quick campaign, and decent gunplay. I like the ending credits too. Worth it if its cheap.

Frontlines: Fuel of War is a large-scale warfare FPS much like Battlefield’s multiplayer but in a singeplayer setting. The short campaign revolves around the 125th Strike Division nicknamed "The Stray Dogs" fighting against the evil Red Star offensive in the Oil Wars.
The gameplay is straightforward: Shoot the bad guys, capture and destroy objectives. It trades the lone-hero narrative for an interesting feature: When you die, you simply redeploy as another soldier, keeping the momentum of the battle moving. On the normal difficulty, enemies are too bullet-spongy for my taste, but changing to the easy difficulty solves that problem.
There's environmental destruction as well, although it isn't quite as wild as Battlefield, you can still blast away enemy cover and sentries. You also get to pilot tanks freely in and out of battle, which is basic but remains very fun.
The AI is surprisingly smart for both allies and enemies, contributing heavily to the immersion. You cannot give direct orders to your teammates, but they already follow your lead, automatically seek cover when under fire, and provide useful call-outs. They’ll let you know when an area is clear or pinpoint where an enemy is hiding. Enemies are smart enough to retreat when you capture an objective or advance too aggressively. They make excellent use of buildings and cover, making every firefight feel like a genuine struggle for the frontline.
The game offers a nice arsenal and your soldier can carry a lot of equipment. Most notably, the RC toys with guns which makes you wish they were in more games. The sound design is also pretty good. The gunshots are aggressive and the cinematic score fits to the intensity of each mission.
The main issue with this game is that it’s difficult to run on modern hardware, and its poor performance drains all your computer’s power. So before purchasing it, make sure you’re ready for troubleshooting!
If you enjoy continuous gunfire, soldiers shouting and rockets flying at you, give this game a try.

So I just did (I had to install the nGlide wrapper and the legacy Physx drivers) and for a game from 2008, it is okayish. Nothing special to remark, although it was fun to play.

Пытаться поиграть в онлайн в игру 2008 г не вижу смысла
Сюжетная компания проходится за 3-4 часа.
Геймплей для 2008 г неплохой
Сюжет клюква-клюквенная, но поразительно как точно в некоторых местах авторы попали в то, что происходит сегодня (по сюжету действия игры разворачиваются в 2024 г)
В общем на 1-2 вечера поиграть неплохо

Even tho it says ive played for ~10 hours. I played this game my whole Childhood when growing up. If there was a "time played" section on this game like there is here on steam, it would be, for me playing this game, in the 10,000s for hours played. Really, ive played this game so much on the Xbox 360 I replayed the campaign like 600 times and still continue to play it. Yes it's a short campaign and not the most creative, but the game itself is really funny with the AI ragdoll death animations and the amount of weapons and vehicles for a game this size, also the storyline makes alot of sense, its just to understand the storyline more you need to to some research on google as the game doesn't show it all. Its sad THQ went bankrupt along with kaos as they made this banger.

Ничего хорошего на самом деле тут и не было, даже для 2008 года. Из плюсов только то, что реально чувствуется масштаб сражений. До кучи дают море техники, крутых гаджетов по типу дронов, и это круто. Но проблема в том, что плюсы на этом кончаются. В остальном игра, если культурно выражаться, — кал. Игра, в лучшем случае, воспринимается как рескин Battlefield 1942, но при этом играется так же топорно, всрато и просто, как и Battlefield 1942 в 2003 году. Взял за 3 рубля и ради ностальгии. Увы, игра почти сразу пернула в вечность, но пофантазировать у нее на тему WW3 вышло неплохо :)

Mam tego kasztana piękne wydanie pudełkowe, które było z T-shirtem, plakatem i płytą z muzyką.
Tytuł obecnie to ciekawostka, bo gra przeciwko botom jest strasznie siermiężna, a mimo to po tylu latach nadal dość satysfakcjonująca.
Gra miała sens, gdy była jeszcze online.
Jako konkurencja BF, to się nie udała. Po prostu ciekawostka z końca pierwszej dekady 21wieku.

Geiles Spiel, vor allem als es raus kam. Spiel sagt leider wie andere Spiele, Filme oder Serien (Simpons) wie in der Zukunft Krieg geführt wird oder was das Problem ist bzw. wer kämpft.
Das Spiel läuft unter Win. 11 nur mit einem extra Software Update. Dauert aber nur ne Minute.
Multiplayer ist leider Tod aber der Singleplayer mit den 2 Bonus Missionen is nice.
Gute Story, geiler Sound, schwere Gegner und ein Zukunftsszenario das du 70% leider zutrifft.
Grafik ist für das Jahr ok. Schade das solche Shooter nicht mehr rauskommen.
Frontlines: Fuel of War, çıktığı yıl FPS türünde modern temalı savaş oyunudur. Hikaye tarafı ve görevleri çok oyunculu tarzında tasarlandığından ben pek beğenmedim.

TLDR: Either my tech was too much for this old beast, or it was always a mess to get going. If it’s almost free or in a bundle it’s good fun for ~4-5 hours, but I can’t recommend based on the technical difficulties.

Frontlines: fuel of war (FL) is an old FPS set in the impending resources wars of the early 21st century. We are the Stray Dogs, a border patrol force become strike team on the front line of the erupting conflict for oil between the west and a China/Russia alliance. Our job? Kill the commies, push the frontline, win the war.
Man. Resources wars pitting what is rapidly becoming historical foes against one another in the midst of global economic depression over raising energy costs on the back of a virus which broke systems… I don’t know if I can say this aged well… I can say that last year was clearly busy, what with world war 3 seemingly breaking out and being fought.
I only played single player, the multiplayer experience is long dead, So let’s see how it stands up today.

[list][*] I was surprised not just by the variety of weapons and vehicles, but how each tool felt different and almost all of them were fun to play with.
[*] Limited respawns in the campaign gave it an old school feeling. I don’t know what would have happened if I’d lost all my lives… Maybe you have to begin the campaign from scratch, I don’t know, but it sure stressed me out when I got low on lives once or twice.
[*] Decent sized maps with multiple paths and a small degree of autonomy in objective completion make this game feel better than significantly more recent FPS titles. These maps aren’t ground-breaking, or amazing, but the simple factor of letting us pick a path and attack it in a way we want makes it feel [i]nice.[/i]

[list][*] I’d call what I had “Issues running the game.” But it really understates how much work it took to get this game going. Given I completed the whole thing in 4 hours, I’d say it took almost a full third of the time again just to get it working… And it wasn’t a single problem I couldn’t solve, which in many ways was [i]significantly[/i] more frustrating. Because I’d whack a problem, only to have a new and exciting one rock up. All of which were solved in a few minutes, but added up. From drivers, to inputs, to sounds, to resolution, to menus… I don’t think any part of this game worked first time.
[*] Bugs, bugs everywhere. Good lord. The experience of playing this game can be terrible. My list of bugs includes but is not limited to; Guns not firing, or not dealing damage, enemies spawning endlessly on the spawn point after a point has been captured, vehicles falling through the world, not being drivable, crashing the game to desktop when entered, spawning on top of me, cutscenes crashing the game, cutscenes not playing, the game saying its loading in, but just sitting as in-game while not loading, and allies and enemies alike getting stuck inside terrain.
[*] Weapon aiming is just… bad. Most of the weapons couldn’t hit the side of a barn, at point blank. Except the sniper rifle, which will kill you before the enemy even renders. I don’t mind weapons not landing exactly where I aim, that’s the point of having a spread mechanic. I do mind them being so wildly inaccurate I could rename them ‘blunderbuss’ and still be disappointed with the accuracy.

Overall if you happen to see this in a bundle then it adds value for a few hours of knocking about… But I don’t think it’s really worth the time to get it working. It sure as hell isn’t worth picking up for itself alone.
This game is for folks who are after a bit of 2000’s shooter, chest high walls not included. Though you WILL need to take cover to avoid getting splatted. It’s for folks who aren’t too fussed about the story and the writing.
This game is not for people who have existential dread. It isn’t for folks who want a prediction a little too close to home, and it isn’t for children.
All in all, I’d say this was probably great back in its time. It’s a piece of archaeology that if you happen to come across, I think it’s worth the evening or two.

I've played countless hours outside of steam, back when the game first came out. This game was my life for more than a year. What a nostalgia trip for me it is. A portal to simplier times.
This game used to have a very fun multiplayer mode with massive battles on large scale maps, futuristic equipment, ground and air vehicles. I remember having the chance to try it out in 2008 through a PC Gamer magazine disk which had a demo that included the whole multiplayer mode. It took a while for my 12 year old self to get used to the massive recoil of the guns but eventually I had a lot of fun. Unfortunately the game servers are shut down and the campaign doesn't offer enough to be the sole reason for owning this game. If I remember correctly, the story ends with an implication that there will be a sequel but that never happened. All in all, at its current state, I don't think the game is worth the money or time anymore. Looking back, it's a shame Frontlines: Fuel of War never became more popular and that many people never had a chance to experience it at its peak.
I usually don't remember quotes from cinematics but I remember the guy in this game discussing alternative fuel sources and saying "That ♥♥♥♥ didn't pan out."

Un bon petit FPS à l'ancienne, typique des années PS3 / Xbox 360.
On sent bon le 2008. Attention, il semble que les serveurs soient morts donc pour le multi, faut jouer en LAN.
J'ai beaucoup aimé la campagne, aucun crash. Un peu courte mais suffisante si vous avez le jeu a petit prix (et il est très souvent en dessous de 3€). Attention aussi au niveau des paramètres : par exemple, impossible de mettre des sous-titres ou d'activer la synchronisation verticale.
Don't get me wrong this game is pretty bad and this is the type of game you would only buy if you are curious about obscure fps games. But after reviewing homefront this game is better. Yes the story in the single player is trash, the actual fps gameplay this feels like Kane & Lynch but in first person with how inaccurate every gun is. But at the very least this game gives you a lot of weapons at your disposal tanks, helicopters deployable turrets and various drones to use combined that with very large open levels so you can actually flank enemies. Its a good attempt of a battlefield style game but it didn't quite make it. I got this for $1.50 on a stream key and that's the max you should pay for this

Сейчас данную игру проходить не стоит. Сюжетная кампания сделана как введение в мультиплеер. Сам сюжет поначалу казался в стиле колды и батлы, но вскоре стало понятно, что миссии состоят исключительно из захвата и обороны позиций, уничтожения объектов и техники.
Стрельба такая себе, оружие косое, регистрация попаданий дерьмовая, управление вертолётом придумал истинный олигофрен. Но порадовал небольшой арсенал всяких гаджетов и техники: танки, радиоуправляемые вертолётики и гусеничные турели, машинка- и дрон-камикадзе.

Sadly gonna be dropping this game. I loved Kaos studios other game Homefront but this game just don't feel fun to play. Aside from it not being fun to play the audio is messed up and don't work at all. I ain't going through hoops for this game sorry not sorry.

Multiplayer doesn't work but the single player campaign still works.
Its not a bad game, sorta your generic battlefield type shooter. The two neat elements are drone combat being a thing in this game and the game being primarily around shifting frontlines. Both of which were neat back in 2008 when this game came out....not really anything new or unique now.
I played the whole game without sound because I didn't want to wear headphones and there's no subtitles....sooooo don't ask me what the plot is....something about stopping Russia.... I dunno
Why am I giving this game a bad review even though I liked it? Because its a game +15 years old at the time of this review and it still costs +$20. Game play also hasn't aged well. The Assault riffles are better at close range than the SMG....yeah go figure.....despite both having scopes that barely work
If you can get it for a buck or two, have fun, waste about 6-7 hours as I did.
Very genertic early 2000's shooter. It's not without some charm, using some of the drones you find is actually pretty fun. I was really frustrated with the accuracy of the basic assault rifle, but eventually you get other classes with better weapons. It's just very bland and very ok, no reason to play this over better games.
If you want an old-school Battlefield solo campaign without the obligatory annoying EA account, this is your best alternative. Frontlines is the standard seventh-gen FPS type of game you've already played a hundred times. After you beat this, you'll never come back. Multiplayer is dead, and there's nothing to the singleplayer campaign. Though this at least runs flawlessly on PC unlike most other titles.

Игра повествует о жесточайшем энергетическом кризисе, который ставит под угрозу все существующие сейчас технологии. Но всего этого в игре не видно: вся местная техника спокойно ездит на с бензобаком на борту, в местных сёлах не видно солнечных панелей и всюду есть провода централизованной подачи тока. Но это ещё не так печально, как всё остальное в сюжете.
- Трата тактических ядерных ракет по одной колонне вторгающихся противников - это просто смешно. Но тут это подаётся проявление злой злости от злых злодеев, без которого не было бы сюжета. Ага.
- Ещё есть прямое сравнение сил [strike]НАТО[/strike] Западной Коалиции с войсками Наполеона и Гитлера с упрёком лишь в том, что им тут удаётся захватить Москву и погубить злое зло, а прошлым двум не повезло, почему-то.
- Американские солдаты с явным отвращением относятся регионам Средней Азии, откуда они выкачивают все ресурсы.
И это лишь то, что я сходу смог вспомнить. Игра представляет собой чуть ли не худший образец клюквы, который я видел. Новые Каловдутия просто тупые, а тут прям намеренно пытаются указать на то, кто есть феи, а кто есть орки.
Что же касается игрового процесса, то единственная фишка в виде беспилотников тут применяется не так часто, как хотелось бы. Всегда можно решить задачи обычной стрельбой, не мучая себя медленным и неповоротливым управлением дрона. Самое забавное, что все беспилотники подбираются во вражеских лагерях и не даются в снаряжение сразу, что как бы намекает. В остальном же, это просто нормальный клон Баттлы.

Frontlines: Fuel of War - был первой видеоигрой Kaos Studios состоящей из людей, что сделали популярный мод "Desert Combat" для Battlefield 1942. В первую очередь игру представляли как конкурента серии "Battlefield" на движке Unreal Engine 3, по этому в первую очередь игра заточена под онлайн сражения. И хоть сейчас уже мультиплеер отключён, все равно достаточно интересно сыграть в одиночную кампанию с незамысловатым и простым сюжетом закрученным вокруг тем современного общества, зависимости от ресурсов, прохождение которого займёт около 5 часов. Лично я проходил на максимальной сложности. Графика даже сейчас смотрится клёво, а музыка отдельная приятная часть видеоигры, танковый штурм на фоне ядерного удара под эпическую музыку заставил преисполниться. Игровой процесс в виде передвижения, ощущения оружия достаточно приятный для аркадного FPS, разве что стрельба и логика разброса огня странноватая. Одна из ключевых особенностей возможность использовать дроны, как наземные, так и воздушные вместе с техникой, хоть и изредка в одиночном режиме, ведь игровой процесс больше задумывался для мультиплеерных баталий. В общем, отличный "проходняк" 2008-го года и прекрасная возможность погрузиться на несколько часов в эпоху видеоигр 7-го поколения с приятным игровым процессом!
Отдельное удовольствие было испытать силы в бонусных уровнях: SP-VILLAGE и SP-STREET!

В далёком 2008 году, когда я только начинал своё знакомство с миром видеоигр, мне в руки попал январский номер журнала «Игромания». С радостью я обнаружил в нём статью о предстоящей игре Frontlines: Fuel of War. Её потенциал меня очень впечатлил, и я сразу же захотел опробовать её, хотя тогда ещё не был знаком с серией «BF».
Я с нетерпением ждал выхода игры и даже купил лицензионный диск, что было большой редкостью в те времена. Однако из-за постоянных переездов диск затерялся, и я благополучно забыл о нём.
Спустя 17 лет, когда я приобрёл игру в Steam, я всё же решил попробовать и пройти её. Но, к сожалению, моё давнее любопытство не оправдалось. Хотя задумка игры была интересной, реализация оказалась слабой.
К этой концепции ближе всего, безусловно, Battlefield, но есть и другие игры, например, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, которая отличается большей приземлённостью. Frontlines находится где-то между этими двумя играми.
К сожалению, она оказалась довольно слабой: с элементами клюквы, примитивным геймплеем и, учитывая возраст, всё же посредственной графикой. В 2008 году, думаю, мультиплеер в ней игрался бодро, но сейчас я рекомендую приобрести Battlefield 2042!
Из плюсов можно отметить классную песню в титрах и наличие зачатков физики и разрушаемости!
Fun Game
Fuel of War is a game that, rather than inspiring affection, fills one with regret due to its overwhelming shortcomings. In its day, it was merely mediocre—overshadowed by a host of far superior contemporaries—and thus never truly took off. In hindsight, its failure to gain widespread acclaim is perhaps a blessing, as the game is fundamentally flawed (despite its nostalgic charm during my childhood).
In summary: investing money in this game is ill-advised. However, if you happen to secure a key from G2A or even opt to pirate it, that may be the only way to derive any enjoyment from the experience.

为童年补票，第一次见这个游戏还是上小学六年级的时候，父亲买了这个游戏的光盘，我放暑假坐在父亲身旁看着他玩这款游戏。对在那时仅接触过4399小游戏的我造成了很深的震撼，第一次知道能有游戏可以做成这样，fps不只是打枪开坦克、自爆小车、无人机，到现在还记忆犹新。时至今日父亲早已不玩游戏，而我也算是为了自己的fps启蒙补个票吧
At first, when looking at the steam page and reading the game contents, I expected a rather different product, something that would be similar to "Planetside 2", a type of game that has the global war aesthetics. Although the game turned out completely different to my imagination, its a decent shooter that involves a wide diversity in equipment, allowing the gameplay to be more dynamic.
I'd say its "Call of Duty" with "Battlefield" inspirations, as the addition of vehicles are awesome, making the game stand out. The gameplay actually feels great as it delivers the total war aspect, with shooting, fighting and vehicle combat all around the player, especially when rockets whizz over the head, exploding somewhere in the background or under your feet. These characteristics portray the authentic feel, which involves the player into the fight, especially when you drive off the enemy forces and take the objectives one by one, feeling less resistance with each step. While the story was not anything spectacular, I was more interested in the missions, as various battle scenarios, where the NPCs are surprisingly well set, as they do not always target you no matter what (as in other shooter games), but also pay attention to other threats, such as your teammates and friendly vehicles.
Now, the game lacks, in my opinion, in gunplay, because the weapons seem very inaccurate with high spray. Assuming that the assault rifle is your most used weapon in almost all the missions, shooting it felt very unsatisfying, as it would already lose its efficiency already in mid range (especially if you're trying to shoot the enemy's unguarded body parts, whose behind the cover). Speaking of enemies, they are fairly buffed (or perhaps the weapons' damage is low), as you need to decently spray the enemies with bullets in order to kill them. I found the MG (also the sniper rifle) to be the most efficient, as it two-shots everyone and can easily tear up sentries, but unfortunately its available only by the end of the game. The legendary red barrels that explode upon shooting, are also lacking in their function, as explosion damage seems to have a very small area of impact, which is the same with any explosive-related weaponry.
Nevertheless, I liked the game, despite it not meeting my expectations (my expectations, my problems XD) and having troubles in key areas, the overall gameplay feel is there and I can definitely recommend to try the game, if you like shooters.
Frontlines: Fuel of War, conceived and developed by the legendary team behind a highly ambitious mod for the original Battlefield:1942 at the time, is set in a dystopian world in the distant year 2024, in the midst of a global energy crisis. Following the usual generic end-time scenario, the Western world, which is morally beyond reproach, goes up against the subhumans from the Eastern Bloc under the natural leadership of the USA. The game contains some political commentary, albeit few, in terms of how much wars cost, including in terms of resources. ‘How could a war over oil be fought, with machines that refilled upon it’.
However, anyone hoping for a critical story about the meaning of resource wars, surprising plot twists and the role of major powers in them will be bitterly disappointed. Because the thoroughly moral intro only serves as a creative fig leaf. The cutscenes are narrated from the perspective of a war reporter, who plays absolutely no role during the game. But it doesn't get any more critical or even creative than that, because the game is simply boring after a short period of play and serves up the usual first-person shooter mishmash. It's also amazing how much is blown up in the game - even though there is supposed to be a worldwide fuel shortage. Everywhere, even in the remotest generic Asian wasteland desert, there are fuel barrels filled to the brim, just waiting to explode. This is the game's biggest problem: the constant contradictions. Interesting world-building at first, but immediately followed by generic trash. Over-moralising pseudo-intellectual reporting by the war reporter, but shortly after mindless working-through and capturing checkpoints.
The choice of locations was also made as easy as possible: They are always reliably grey-brown-sand-coloured, monotonous and offer absolutely no variety. Hardly any creative energy was invested in the level design either. If it weren't for the regular Russian signs, propaganda posters and graffiti in Cyrillic letters, the game could be set in the Midwest of the USA.
The gameplay is one-sided, the campaign is far too short and the controls, apart from the few vehicles, are spongy. The helicopter controls are by far the worst, simply rubbish and therefore useless for combat and progressing in the campaign. Your ally squadmates are absolutely useless as well, while the enemy AI is far too accurate, even at what feels like hundreds of metres away. However, you have to give the game credit for trying new approaches in the shooter genre: for example, it is possible to use drone cars or armed mini-helicopters for close air support. However, Battlefield:2142, released two years prior, did all of this much better. And also provided players with more varied game modes and far more realistic and well thought-out maps. I can't say anything about the multiplayer, as the servers were shut down years ago.
One of the things that annoys me most about alternate world scenarios are the obsessively hyperfuturistic (infantry) weapons. This game is no exception and presents you the usual generic infantry equipment with no surprises: Rifle, pistol, shotgun, hand grenades and sniper rifle, the occasional rocket launcher. That's it. That's enough and that's all there is, you'll have to hold out until Moscow. Even if you'll probably never use more than two weapons most of the time, because the game hardly gives you any opportunity to do so. The scattering effect of those weapons is catastrophic and forces you to engage in annoying close combat. Fortunately, we have been spared a sequel. I have no idea or explanation as to why such a talented development studio like KAOS has delivered such a loveless, sub-par piece of crap to market. This game is a waste of time.

No he jugado la campaña de este juego, pero sobre el multijugador, puedo decir que es bastante divertido, con diversos mapas, vehículos y armas. Lastima que las partidas estén cerradas de manera local, y que el contenido creado por su comunidad este desaparecido.
Me interese muchísimo en intentar crear nuevos mapas mediante el Editor que viene integrado al juego, pero veo algunas falencias que no supe resolver y al final no funcionaban de manera correcta al intentar usarlos en una partida normal.

Frontlines: Fuel of War é uma experiência única que combina combates intensos com mecânicas estratégicas incríveis, trazendo mapas amplos e batalhas épicas.
No entanto, é impossível não notar sua semelhança com BF 2142, como se fosse sua versão singleplayer. Mesmo assim, Frontlines se destaca com sua abordagem de "linhas de frente" e drones, entregando uma jogabilidade envolvente que merece reconhecimento! 🎮🔥

Крайне ужасная поделка. Сюжет как будто писал ребенок лет 10-ти в шапочке из фольги, насмотревшийся CNN и BBC. Стрельба корявенькая, даже никакого намека на реалистичность, чисто водяные пистолетики. Военная техника таковой не ощущается, словно машинки на радиоуправлении. Болванчики тупые. Все какое-то халтурное. В плюс только совпавшее время, стороны и, косвенно, причины конфронтации, но это скорее ироничная случайность, а не прозорливость разрабов.
