A short VN where you play hide and seek with a clown and seduce college girls. Is it a worthy treat for amateur P.I.s?

Frisky business with Frisk and Charlie. Frisk, an ex-cop turned P.I., and Charlie, a nerdy four-eyes with an uncanny sniffing skill and forensic hobby. Both are part of the newly opened detective agency, looking for clients. The very first case involves a cat lady, but the next one will test their investigative abilities, along with some romance options. As the case progresses, you'll meet several characters, some helpful, some reluctant, but it all depends on how the story unfolds. There are 11 episodes total, and the final scene can be easily reached in less than 2-3 hours depending on your reading speed. However, the numerous choices, three possible romances, and three possible endings encourage multiple playthroughs.
As for the story itself, the writing and pacing are ok, but the character development suffers a bit due to the short length of the game. Some elements of the story were left vague, or unexplained and abandoned. Also, certain interactive elements feel underdeveloped, e.g. mobile phone usage, evidence examination, or the sex scenes. More could be done to improve experience and immersion.
One more thing I need to mention is the unfriendly user interface and the lack of options that a typical modern vn has. There are only three save slots, but you can only use one of them per game. Worse yet, you can't even save when you want; all saves are automatic and load places you at the start of the most recent episode. Moreover, there is no auto-text option, no skip button, no gallery, no volume regulation, heck, no options at all. This is the first time I've seen a VN that lacks even basic options. This makes the game more unwelcoming, and even frustrating than it needs to be, especially for those who play more than once. Huge negative for such a barebone design.

The art of this vn reminds me of Western-style comics. The character art is decent, but the variety of poses and emotions sprites have is very limited. Also, backgrounds look at the best average. On the bright side, the employment of various visual effects embellish the experience a bit. As for the hscenes, they're rather disappointing. The interactive feature feels unnecessary and there is only some boring female nudity shown. Also, no gallery to check it later. Much more could be done here, but could be worse.

Music-wise, the jazz genre dominates the experience, which is not a bad choice for this type of story. Some more chilling tunes building the suspense where appropriate can be heard as well. Occasional sound effects are present too. I have no complaints about the audio side.

Some visual bugs and disappearing music occur when you skip text too fast, so the game restart might be required to fix this.

Overall, despite several design flaws, this VN contains a decent enough story, plus ok art and music. I can easily recommend this title for the fans of simple detective stories, but don't set your bar too high: 5.7/10

great game, i don't agree with the negative comments. i loved doing multiple play-thoroughs to get all Achievements. the art work is nice and the comedy is a good touch. didn't expect it to be a funny game when i bought it but really enjoyed it in the end. worth it for a few quid.

Cons:

* Lacks manual saves so the game only saves at the beginning of each chapter - this is annoying because it means you can't roll back a mis-clicked choice, etc. without re-playing the entire chapter.
* Sex scenes are kinda disappointing - no animations, basically just pictures and you have to move the cursor around in certain spots to get the girls to orgasm. This game could've been off the rails with some good animations - think AVN / Ren'Py quality animation just in animated fashion to go with this game.
* Needs a tweak to uncensor the game - it's easy to implement but annoying. It shouldn't be censored.
* Very short.

Pros:

* The art is fantastic. I love the style, and the girls are gorgeous.
* Entertaining story, although lacking detail.

Game Length: ~2 hours.

Final Rating: 6.5/10 - It's solid despite the larger list of cons. The art is great, girls are sexy, multiple endings possible. The endings are more just annoyances and missed opportunities by the dev team. I heard they were working on a second episode and then abandoned it which is too bad - if they used more modern AVN engines but kept the same sexy art style and began doing animations, they could have something really good, here. Either way, I do recommend it.

"Frisky Business" ist eine kurze Visual Novel mit kleinen Entscheidungsmöglichkeiten.

Wir sind der nicht sonderlich erfolgreiche Privatdetektiv Falco Frisk. der zusammen mit seinem unscheinbaren Partner versucht, Fälle zu lösen. Wir erhalten einen Auftrag von einer Frauen-WG, die nachts von einem Typen mit Clownsmaske belästigt wird. Eine Chance, unsere Detektivfähigkeiten zu beweisen und natürlich mit den Mädels etwas anzufangen.

DIe Charaktere sind maßlos überzeichnet. Alle Frauen scheinen auf nichts anderes aus zu sein als zu flirten und ihre sekundären Geschlechtsmerkmale möglichst vorteilhaft in die Kamera zu halten. Daß da noch eine beliebig belanglose Detektivgeschichte nebenher läuft, fällt kaum weiter auf. Wie auch, ist die Story doch arg langweilig geraten.

Immerhin sind die Zeichnungen technisch sauber, wenn auch reichlich niveaulos. Auch läuft das Game problemlos. Die Musik stört nicht all zu sehr und es gibt sogar mehrere Enden, die zum Teil daran hängen, mit welchem Mädel man es geschafft hat, rumzumachen.

Das Spiel ist weder eine gute Detektivgeschichte noch wirklich erotisch. Dafür sind die Typen viel zu platt, die Dialoge viel zu billig. Und auch der angestrengte Humor rettet das Spiel beileibe nicht vor seiner verdienten Negativwertung.

Dang, for a title I got for 1.00 USD on sale, this game has some serious chops. You play as Detective Frisk, hence the title. The game can be sweet or spicy depending on your choices, and for what I thought would just be light, frothy fun, it does go from 0 to 10 real fast at a certain point.

They do show you most of the plot (at least what I got on my play through) in the trailer and images, so if it looks like your kind of game, totally give it a go.

Just generally low quality. The art's not very interesting or appealing, the story's lackluster, the dialog's poor, and none of the QoL features other VNs have are present. There are only three save slots for crying out loud.

If you want naughty pictures, there are plenty of better ways of seeing them.

So I'm a bit split on this. This is a game I really wish I could give it a neutral recommendation instead of Yes/No. The sounds were decent, the graphics also decent but not really that bad/good. The story was what actually kept me hooked. It has the usual weird adult story with a random killer clown thrown into the mix, so it balanced out in a comedic type of way. My biggest issues with the game is that there is absolutely no skip feature (not even for already seen text), which makes figuring out what to do a bit meh and the replay value drops considerably (although there's only three different endings anyway). The next would be the typos, which for a VN is a big deal. The writing itself wasn't that bad, though. Some of the characters were a bit too silly (mainly just Charlie and his "smelling" ability) and other characters just were not very consistent (mainly saw that with Balbina).

Overall, if you can get this game for very very cheap AND you don't mind no skip feature, I say go for it. There is an adult patch (which honestly would be better if it was an in-game option) as well, so if that sways you, just note that the "fun" scenes are much like old flash adult games.

Frisky Business is a visual novel mystery game, where a group of college girls ask for your help.

Story:

You play as Falco Frisk, who is a private investigator, whose business is not popular whatsoever. One day a group of college girls Jenny, Lucy, and Balbina hire you to investigate a dangerous clown that has been stalking them every so often and intends to do something bad to them.

The story is as crazy and stupid as I described it and honestly I find that it's charming for that reason and honestly I had a great time with the story. Considering this is a lewd type of game (not that incredibly lewd) I knew going into it that the game is going to be stupid, but I honestly loved the mystery aspect. The writing itself is often really funny because of the sexual undertones, but the story itself is rather dark at times often, maybe too much in certain moments.

Graphics:

The art style is really good, I loved the backgrounds and character designs. They're colorful and bright, albeit overly simplistic. Maybe the environments are a bit too simplistic, but they're not bad by any means, but it feels like they are incredibly barren.

Audio:

The music itself is the weakest part, most of it sounds way too generic and borders on royalty free tracks you can get for free. I feel like the tracks picked are decent enough, but overall nothing incredibly impressive.

Gameplay:

Frisky Business is a visual novel, so apart from reading you won't be doing much. If you played one before you can expect the same type of gameplay. Read, make a choice, read, make a choice. It does have some slight detective work you need to do to actually get the best ending possible which is great, but often then not these are incredibly simplistic, like listening to your brain instead of your penis type of thing.

You can romance the college girls and sometimes their romance options will lock you out of certain story moments involving the mystery which was a very cool little feature and adds a ton of replay value to see every ending.

Verdict:

Frisky Business was a pleasant surprise. I expected a very shallow visual novel where the sex was the only selling point, but found the story weirdly interesting where I wanted to keep going and seeing how the mystery wraps up. Again this is not for everyone considering the lewdness of it, but if you don't mind, give this one a read.

Final Rating:
7/10

Cons:
- Some writing is pretty bad

- Tonal shift of the story is pretty bizarre

Wow, this is short but does require a couple of playthroughs to unlock all the different endings.
There is "eye candy" moments but they are less frequent than I expected and if that's what your after, you might be disappointed, as there is no attempt at creating the sexy scene, they just reuse the background scene for what environment the characters are in and then place a floating naked female on the screen.
For that sort of stuff, there is better "games" out there.
So its really the mystery story and mainly the characters that carry this game.
For these sort of games, usually its a random dude getting "trained" or they inherited hotel of some such, or some kind of magical event etc. that causes all the sexual content.
So to ground this in a detective story, with yes still, rather too “eager females to meet” but aleast the main character wasn’t the usual nerd type but actually hooking up with this girls due to his magnetism or again, yes the typical dumb blondes was somewhat a refreshing change.
But as for the final review, this is a side thumb, if this sort of sexual content visual novel interests you, then this is worth checking out on sale.

Low Budget VN that is highly selfaware of it's lower quality and makes constant jokes about itself and the target audience.
Interesting story that was somewhat up to date in 2017.
2019 they wanted to make a 2nd part, not sure if that one is still in the making or was canned.
Definetly one of the better low budget novels.. reminds a bit of Leasure Suit Larry comedy.
Multiple endings and achievements to cope with them.
Most characters are one dimensional though... but this is part of the humor.

8/10 in 5$ range. 7/10 for all novels I assume.
Worth picking up on a sale, also probably worth picking up for 5$.

I liked this game more than I thought I would. Some of the dialogue is laugh out loud funny, and other times I'm cringing in my chair wondering why that text is even an option. What I did NOT expect was to scream because of the clowns. I'll be the first to admit I'm a total scaredy cat but I was still not expecting to jump because of this game. I'm assuming it wasn't loud enough to freak out the neighbors since no cops were called.

미친게임
이 게임을 할때 준비물로는 오토마우스가 필수다.
왜냐면 비쥬얼 노벨인데 스킵기능이 없어서 계속 스페이스키/클릭 해줘야한다 - 이건 내가절대 용납못하는것으로 비추천 확정

그 외는 그냥 두서없이 적음.

1. 탐정일 하는 것이 주된 내용. - 주구장창 같은 스탠딩샷을 보게 될 것이다. 그것도 잘 그린것도 아니다.
2. 로드 버튼은 있는데 세이브 버튼이 없음 (나중에 알게된게 세이브는 자동세이브가 됨)
3. 교미신없다고 생각하면 됨. (정 보고 싶으면 커뮤니티허브/스크린샷게시판에서 확인 가능)
4. 그림체 하나도 안꼴림. 서양식이라서 그런가?
5. 종종 등장하는 음악+음향효과(캐릭터 목소리연기가 아님)는 매우 잘 만들었다. - 이거 하나만큼은 정말 잘 만드었다.
6. 트레이닝카드+도전과제가 있음.
7. 마지막에 크레이터 목록 올라가는데 스킵기능이 없음.
8. 끝으로 갤러리 모드가 없다. - 이것도 내가 비쥬얼노벨 게임에서 절대 용납 못하는 것이기도 하다.

정가 5500원인데 정가주고 이거 사면 그냥 호구인증이구요.
1100원에 샀는데도 후회가 마구 밀려오는 아주 그냥 개떡같은 게임입니다.

Nice game ..you are a detective and need to investigate a case where some girls are stalked by a creepy clown ..so if you have have that clownphobia then this game can scare you at some points ...but besides that is very nice and you can choose options that can lead in different endings ..and there is also some time for '' funny time '' with girls ! ..have fun and enjoy !

I realize there's no reason to assume this is a work of art - frisky is in the name - but it's just boring. Whatever you're playing this game for, it's not the story, and you'll just try to be hurrying along. There are some moments that shine, but they're few and far between,

Well the game is ........ FUN !!!

Got it for free and I was like "I'm bored I'll give it a try"

Its a kind of Telltale game, where you are a PI, and let's say that he likes his woman.

I thought it was gonna be too much, like soft porn for ... well idk ... lol But it ended up being really funny, the narrative is not the best but the jokes are quite good.

And damn if ever you fall into one of the girls bed (or yours) let s say that the way to get through that scene is .... naughty !
Won t spoil but it got me to think that the game crashed, where there was an actual mechanic.

Finished the game and even it's short, i really felt i had a good time !

If it s free give it a try, it won t be a loss of your hour !

[h1] I just found this game on the Steam discount for 1 euro and wow, was I pleasantly surprized. First of all it's a real adult sexual game in the sense that you get sexual gameplay as well as a lot of romance options with a detailed story and good graphics. If you are a fan of adult games or sexy visual novels, you will be happy with this game. It's actually also one of the few games that I played in which your choices matter a lot, they are mentioned through the story and some of them lead to different side and main story endings as well. For the amount of adult themed games on Steam this is actually a very good one. Also, btw, it has an uncensor patch if you want to see all the good bits of which there are a lot here :). [/h1]

+ Real romance adult game with a sex minigame for each partner.
+ Many romance partners (at least 7) which are interesting, well done and sexy including a witch, latino girls. threesomes and more. They each have severel romance sequnces, not including the group ones which are sepparate and reward your patience in exploring the story :) to every angle.
+ Interesting and very well done story in the sense that it has many side stories that you unlock through different choices in different playthroughs. Also endearing.
+ Many choices have an effect and get mentioned in the next chapters and some of them determine the main story resolution as well as some side romance resolutions.
+Good colors, good graphics, partners are sexy.

- There is no save option. The game however autosaves on every chapter start and if you want to go for the achievements you can just reload the chapter.
- As with most VNs I found on Steam, there is no sound, except for the you know what bits :). It didn't really annoy me but if you want to play it, expect to read everything.

~ First of all this game is a lot more than first meets the eye. It's a very rich game with a lot of story content, extra branches and consequences if you like to find out everything and will have you playing quite a few times times through it.
~When I first saw the game I though based on the advertized images that there would be some gore or violence in the game relating to the clown. However, this is not the case, the game is completely safe and you can relax and play for the romances.
~The achievements are all possible but you will have to rewind the story and go through some new arcs. This game has a lot of Easter Eggs hidden under a simple line of dialogue including a lot of other romances and fun details.
~ There is an uncensor patch for the game if you look in the guides section. You also find achievement guides there if you are interested.
~ If you are dismayed by the detective story, don't worry, it's actually really maybe 10% of the story and the rest is you having romance fun. :)
~The game took me about 1 hour 20 minutes to complete on my first playthrough reading everything to do one of the endings. The rest of the time was me chasing all the missing story parts, romances and side endings of this game. It has a really nice charm to it. Oh and by the way if you get all the endings where your character is single and want the story to end with a relationship, keep trying. No spoilers, but the game does take your choices into account and loyalty is a thing-there are endings where the detective ends up with a partner. In case you get invested here, there are happy endings on all fronts :).
~ It took me around 10 playthroughs to get all the achievements. I really enjoyed them since every time I found something new. This game is very rich in story content and consequences.

The game is fun to complete, but lacks too many things.
-You will get bored easily, so, don't complete it on a single go. Take breaks and it will be fun.
- I don't like how every girl looks in the game. All of them almost looks the same and none is interesting for a game like this.
-Consequences could be managed better.

haven't unlocked all the achievements yet but I enjoyed what I played. the game has a real indie feel and many of the choices in the game are very unintuitive but the game's logic is entertaining. could probably go back to complete the achievements but that would probably be a slog. The hour I played was a lot of fun. Well worth playing. It could use a bit more polish though, because there are some occasional spelling mistakes. Overall, game is very well written.

Pues está bien.
Tiene buenos personajes, una música e historia decente.
Muchas decisiones con peso que hace que cambie la historia. Varios finales.
Los diálogos están bien, divertidos.
Buen diseño de escenarios y personajes.
No es que pida muchos requisitos, pero tiene muy buenos y muchos modos de optimización.
En lo negativo es corto(solo si vas a una ruta), no puedes guardar cuando te de la gana y no tiene galería.
Recomendado.

B) Killer clown
C) Cartoon tiddies.

Valve'nin iki yüzlülüğü sonucu ne Valorthalar, Epicalar banlanırken sadece düzüşme üzerine olan Anime oyunlarının varlığı açıkçası hoşuma gitmiyor. Довольно забавная новелла, которую вы скорее всего купите поглядев на скриншоты, и к своему удивлению вы обнаружите более-менее интересный детектив, да только на все про все где-то полчаса игры, а 18+ сцены закончатся быстрее, чем ваш первый опыт в сексе. Да и смотреть там почти не на что. Текущую цену (25р.) оправдывает, но не более того.

Больше всего расстраивают именно сцены, ради которых вы приготовились играть левой рукой - ублажение дамы происходит в два клика, продолжается секунд, э-э-э, 15, наверное. При этом сама рисовка такая простенькая, что опубликованный арт в новостях:

даже погорячее будет. С другой стороны, сами девушки нарисованы и минимально озвучены (смех, возгласы, страх и т.п.) интересно, а во всех сценах позволяется выбрать три пути поведения, что приведет к разным концовкам и вариантам "знакомств".

Frisky Business is a straight forward visual novel with a late night 80's cable television programming vibe. The humor is mild, but not atrocious. The visuals are cell shaded cartoons (take that any way you will). The main storyline is pretty basic, with slight dialogue deviation options that lead to different endings. The reaction sound effects were more of a plus than I expected, as it helped make otherwise flimsy characters have some life in them. Lots of achievements are offered to encourage trying all different dialogue options to see how the story plays out, but a lack of speeding up text option can make replays somewhat tedious. I came across two different bugs, neither are game breaking. All in all, it is a mild distraction that offers silly ways to get in bed with multiple ladies, all while solving a scooby doo-esque mystery.

I bought this for a laugh, thinking of a nice art style and a bit of undercover romance. After all, i had just finished Doki Doki Literature club and i was in the mood for another VN. Doki Doki is a free visual novel, with a psychological aspect you won't get from any other visual novel. The characters all have their own plot for joining the club and the actual files for the game are riddled with Easter eggs. The death scenes live up to be some of the creepier I’ve seen. The Only thing holding Doki Doki back was Monika telling you how to delete herself, but they even tied that into the game, so i overlooked it. The game had a cutie art style too, solidifying it as the best visual novel i have ever played. i bought this with £0.81 in my steam account, left with 2 pence left. I began loading up the game and i was bombarded with loud music, of a jazz type. I then got into the save and load screen, which i started my first play through of the game, and i almost immediately noticed there wasn't a save button in sight. I only now realised i didn't press escape, but this is a visual novel and there has never been a need to, so i overlooked it. Then we got to the office, with no explanation of the 2 characters immediately shown. I struggled to work out who i was actually playing as. I worked it out after the first 2 dialogue selections. Then i was given the opportunity to go and help a cat out of a tree, with a character I’ll get into soon, who i can't even remember the name of. I was being the helpful man, and we head back to the office and that’s that. The character in question ends up giving Frisk (your character if i haven't mentioned) a set of cat ears, and she pops up out of nowhere. I told her i had work to do and that was literally the last time i remember seeing her. Now i think, i remember the name of the girl in Melonz because i remember thinking "i thought this would be an exotic drink bar or some sort of pub", but no, it’s a cheap Hooters. all of my choices in the game would have been avoided if the developer spent more time telling us what was happening through what Frisk sees and not dialogue, because the visual text was the simplest things like *turns on radio* or something like that. Once Again, Doki Doki had so much of this that i never questioned what was happening. I knew and had an explanation. Then again, the Grammar to almost everything was bad, even "the girls house", which was spelt as "the girl's house" Throughout the entire game. My ending was being killed, which i could have avoided if the game would tell me what happens. I don't even remember a set of instructions either, so when i got jenny and gitruid (however you bloody spell it) back into my apartment, i was just clicking, not knowing that i had to use a banana icon to rub their breasts and vaginal areas. This game is not the best in the world, i would not recommend it to the most beginners of players because even then the grammar was horrific and the story was empty. Even if you came for the sex scene, you will be disappointed, and thus i don't think this game should be 0.81 of the queens’ money.

Or in other words, Don't buy it.
