é um jogo de estrátegia divertido e desafiador, me lembra um pouco uma partida de xadrez só que mais simples.

The game world consists of a 2D overhead grid-based battleground with things like stones, chests, and explosive barrels that dot the landscape. There doesn’t seem to be much variation other than biome changes with no real gameplay elements.
There doesn’t seem to be a story, or if there is, it’s not the focus here.
[h1][b] Gameplay (Mechanics/Difficulty) – [4/10] [/b] [/h1]
The gameplay loop consists of choosing 3 classes/races, and going on a run. You fight 4 battles, 1 boss, then you move to a different biome with different enemies. I’ve seen things like goblins, elementals, and undead. You only have between 8 and 15 turns to finish a zone before additional mobs show up (and most likely destroy you). As long as RNG is on your side, you can usually finish by turn 3 and then spend a few turns looting before leaving.
There are a ton of classes, but they only differ from a few areas like stats, armor, and starting abilities. You can’t see the abilities before buying a class, so this adds to the frequent RNG aspects of the game. I bought a black mage and didn’t know that his ability, while powerful, spawned an enemy on usage. I wouldn’t have wasted my gems on a class that spawns more enemies if I knew beforehand….
Throughout the journey, you acquire loot that can be applied to one of 3 gear slots on your heroes. Loot seems fairly good as there are a multitude of stats - phys/magic attack, defense, crit, and healing as well as multiple abilities both gained on level up and attached to items.
This is a rogueLITE game, you get permanent upgrades to help future runs. Aside from classes, there are damage increases to enemy types and “Guilds” which offer small incremental increases on things like damage type or currency gain. Honestly, pretty boring.
I found the difficulty to be very high. I started on Normal mode and got absolutely wrecked a few times before realizing there was an easy mode. On Easy mode, I did get much further, but there is still frequent run-ending setups. Stuff like you spawn in the middle with enemies on all sides and then just rush and destroy you. You can only choose where to spawn within an RNG 8-grid rectangle, so if you get a bad spawn…good luck, I guess? Over half my deaths were simply from being outnumbered on all sides. Even when you get a good spawn, I have had enemies with flying simply go over an obstacle and literally 1 shot my light armor mage.
The game is kind enough to allow you to redo a fight over 1 time, which can help, but still, as soon as you lose a party member, it’s pretty much over if you can’t immediately get a shop in the next room to revive them (more RNG, getting a shop, on top of RNG, getting the revive item in the shop).

Poor pixelated graphics. Easily PS1-era. I often found it hard to discern between which of my characters were which, since most of them are the same blobby thing with only very slight differences.
I also found the controls to be an issue. It’s super annoying targeting things. You have to chose your ability and then choose a target. There are frequent times of miss firing an ability or movement (which you can undo) simply by trying to choose an enemy unit.
On the technical side, game runs fine. I didn’t notice any bugs, but it wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if my multiple failed runs were due to a bug.

Not great. Music is mostly 2 different songs, dungeon and boss fight. Neither are noteworthy.
There is no voice acting.

Good replay value here, as this is a roguelite. Grinding for upgrades is part of the game, and the game does a good job on quickly getting into a run. Due to the constant RNG upon RNG, you can be sure not many runs will be similar. There are a hefty amount of achievements too.

Forgotten Mines (FM) is a roguelite game where you pick 3 classes (no repeats) and venture into a small grid-based map to kill enemies, level up, get loot, and move onwards. I didn’t have much fun with this. The game has games high difficulty and often unfavorable RNG leads to more frustration than fun for me.
As mentioned above, waaaay too much RNG. The game gives random buffs and debuffs to each character class every run that you cannot reroll other than starting a run and then abandoning it, your spawn is RNG, your level up abilities are RNG, shop items, loot, mob placement, everything about this game is RNG. Some is obviously acceptable, like loot, but the vast majority of it is literally game ending if RNG decides to.
Overall, I cannot recommend FM. I didn’t have much fun using the tools given to me to attempt to overcome the poor RNG on EASY mode.

The game has issues:
Single soundtrack that keeps repeating, had to turn off the music because it was getting incredibly irritating.
Looping by design, maybe I'm wrong but you cannot complete the game without significant progression through this game's version of the skill tree. An act which requires doing multiple runs, not bad in principle but it is in this game.
Resource gathering, just a really bad mechanism that forces you into wasting your time when you have beaten the enemies on a floor, you have to do this to progress both during a run and through the skill tree.
Each run feels the same, there is little variety early game which made me drop the game very quickly. I'm sure that as you progress, and the runs get longer, they also get more fun but this game didn't pull me in at all so I don't feel bothered to grind my way to enjoyment.
For the price and its frequent discounts it is probably fine but there are simply better roguelites with better progression systems and more fun gameplay loops. This game felt sluggish and I personally wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Une tuerie dans le style roguelite. Pour 3,19 € en promo, voilà de quoi passer quelques belles heures dans le style "allez, un dernier run..." Le jeu est bien foutu et attachant. Le placement des personnages est capital, et les devs ont prévu plein de classes de perso qu'on peut débloquer en grindant des diamants. Vraiment très addictif, je recommande vivement.
Forgotten Mines is an addictive, adorable pixel art roguelite srpg where you fight enemies using 3 classes at a time of the available 30+ classes and strategically reap your rewards afterward. There are many other unlocks too, which can affect your efficiency against certain foes, your healing strength, and mining efficiency, to name a few.
Note: On the Steam Deck, you CAN play, but play in full screen! It may look full screen by default, but I found the right side of the screen (where the equipment is) inaccessible until I switched to full screen.
Definitely recommend the game. It's very much a "one more run" kinda game for me.
