The moves, including the blocking, all have a delay of a whole second. It is turn-based at that point. There is no live reacting with this game - try to do it and you are already late. Do not get fooled by the combos - they are mostly packaged in and all you can do with them is keep hitting the same button and maybe a heavy attack to finish it. I know the Chinese like chess, though combat chess in disguise of a real-time fighting game is not fun.
There is a lot of glitches going on I have not seen since Street Fighter games - hits going through opponents, almost random switching of sides during moves, etc..
It runs well and looks okay, though that is not worth anything if playing the game feels like awkward suffering.
The last boss is ultra cheap. Dude has like four times your HP and does insane damage. Luckily it is too stupid to avoid leg sweeps soon after getting back up.
If you want a cheap and weird fighting game that is experimental, I recommend Battle Fantasia (I have not played it) instead when it gets discounted down to dirt. At least that one is real-time and not this super-delayed annoyance stuff. I am not saying it is good - I am saying it is probably better than this one because of potentially better gameplay feel.

Un'idea carina sviluppata evidentemente come un piccolo progetto limitato in tutte le sue parti.
Un picchiaduro con poco più di 10 personaggi, con le stesse sequenze di mosse anche se ovviamente con effetti diversi. Limitato anche nella grafica e in generale nella varietà (ogni personaggio ripete sempre la stessa frase ad inizio scontro), rimanendo un semplicissimo picchiaduro ad incontri.
Peccato perché le potenzialità di sviluppo c'erano, anche solo pensando al numero di divinità esistenti di tanti pantheon diversi (Quetzalcoatl, Afra Mazda ecc...), ma evidentemente hanno voluto fare altro gli sviluppatori
Però l'idea dei personaggi è simpatica e originale, l'ho preso in super sconto al prezzo di un caffè e non me ne pento.
Potencial completamente desperdiçado.
A ideia era boa mas foi mal executada e parece q os desenvolvedores só se aproveitaram da polêmica para vender e abandonaram o jogo.

Fight of Gods is a fun game with great character design and an interesting crossover of mythologies.
That being said, the con is that once you have completed a fight it feels as if you have already explored the whole game in my opinion.

Il gioco è abbastanza grezzo con i comandi che bene o male son gli stessi per tutti. L'idea alla base è davvero carina ma sfruttata a malapena, dei dai culti più diversi che coesistono e si affrontano con una minaccia esterna alla fine, che proprio quella fa abbastanza pena, il boss finale è totalmente anonimo, tanto da non avere neanche un nome, poteva nascere qualcosa di originale e invece niente. L'online neanche lo provo mi ci son divertito un paio d'ore e per quel che ho pagato sono sufficienti, ma è divertente da giocare in locale. A parte il boss finale anche alcuni personaggi sono totalmente sbilanciati, specialmente quelli che hanno tanto range grazie alle armi, inoltre si puo incastrare o essere incastrati al muro in un loop di colpi da cui è difficile uscirne.
Quindi perchè lo consiglio se non è niente di che? OVVIO! C'è g - e - s - ù (censuratelo ancora dai) che tira cartoni usando pezzi della croce, serve altro?

It's alright, but it's definitely not what I expected. There are four different attacks. light, medium, heavy, and grab. from the characters I played it seems like every character just has the same four inputs. It makes it easy to learn the characters I guess, but I think it would be cool if the inputs actually did something different depending on if you use a lighter or heavier attack, but instead it just makes the move go a slight bit further. I think the way they did it with Jesus' down forward attack is fine, but the other inputs could be better. And the super attack seems to be the same every single time. it's just down forward down forward attack. I also wish there were other moves you could do in the air, but it just seems like you only have 3 options. Another small thing I noticed is that if you already have a key set to something, than you can't set a different move to that. It makes sense, however there are two controls, and if you want to use a button on the player 2 side you would have to set each of those keys to something you don't use. Once you get your controls figured out it wouldn't be that bad, but it's still a little tedious. If you couldn't tell by the way I have been wording some of my sentences, I haven't gotten to play with every character, that's why I keep saying "from the characters I've played". I don't think the game is bad, but I think the game is lacking. If the game drops below $5 I might buy it again, but I would rather spend my money on another game.
You get what you paid for with this title. Which isn't always a bad thing. If you wanna play a Poverty Fighter, this is your game.
I really did try to like this game, I really did. But the horrible control scheme and the absurd balance of the game left a bad taste in my mouth. A good try, but I'll wait until the developer gets experience making a more games before purchasing another by them.

Obviamente o atrativo são os deuses de várias culturas como personagens, e até que é legal que cada um tem um moveset distinto dos demais personagens. Ainda assim é tudo bem básico, mas dá pra se divertir e perder algumas poucas horas jogando.

If you are trying to find a mechanically good game with good strategy and combos, then this game is not for you. If you want a silly game to make Jesus and Santa fight with you friends then this is the game!

Il gioco è "divertente" solo in merito all'idea, geniale, di base: creare un rooster con divinità prese da varie religioni.
A parte questo colpo da maestro ideologico, come picchiaduro è veramente poca cosa: le mosse disponibili per ogni personaggio sono pochine, le final/super mosse non sono per nulla spettacolari tenendo presente cosa si potevano inventare avendo questi personaggi a disposizione e i combattenti disponibili sono pochini (con tutto il pantheon da cui attingere si poteva fare meglio come quantità e fantasia, mancano troppi mostri sacri!).
Fa simpatia, all'inizio,ccombattere usando Gesù, Buddha o Mosè (che in realtà sarebbe un patriarca/profeta... non una divinità) ma dopo l'ilarità iniziale tutto l'entusiasmo si spegne.
In offerta, costa comunque pochissimo, si può anche prendere per farsi due risate giocando in multiplayer (da soli... anche no).

Essa é uma análise de 2023: é um jogo de luta com mecânicas mais próximas de Street Fighter (acredito que Street Fighter IV foi a fonte de inspiração). Tem uma variedade decente, única e iconica de personagens e cenários. Os gráficos em geral estão um pouco datados (o dos personagens não incomoda tanto, mas a maioria dos cenários sim). A trilha sonora é boa e épica (tinha que ser, dada a temática do jogo). O multiplayer online ainda funciona e tem gente jogando.
Os pontos que mais me incomodaram foram:
- a falta de movimentação labial dos personagens (tira a vivacidade deles)
- CPU desbalanceada
- alguns personagens desbalanceados
- algumas texturas em baixa resolução (acredito que em 720p, e é um jogo de 2019!)
Acho que em uma escala de 0 a 10, um 6.5 seria uma boa nota Fight of Gods.
Joguei em um sistema Linux utilizando o SteamPlay (Proton 8.0-4) sem problemas.

[b]Very barebones:[/b] an Arcade mode, a VS mode, a Training mode, and the bio of each character ; no combos, just a handful of unique moves per character, not enough to make the fights interesting.
[b]Very difficult[/b], even in the Normal difficulty. The AI is buffed beyond human ability. There was obviously no testing done to ensure the game is fun to play or accessible to beginners.
In conclusion: can be fun for a few minutes with friends but the gameplay isn't engaging enough. The only interesting thing is its gimmick, that more or less famous deities fight each other. None of it justifies the price, even on sale.
A Certified Hood Classic
I don't think you can understand if you don't play. This game looks like a mobile game, the voices have the sounds quality of a no budget flash game with 4 dudes in their early 20s, and has a very mid quality sound track. But the absurdity and the simplicity is maniacal. Not kidding, I got this game for a SINGLE REASON: BUFF JESUS!!!! You spawn as Jesus, descending on a cross, break off the arms of said cross, uses it as gauntlets, and has a super move called THE RAPTURE!!!! And I am going toe to toe with him in the Garden of Eden as Anubis, Juggling him as if I am playing Tekken or Street Fighter. Every character has very few moves, mainly compared to bigger fighting games, but you can chain them together and almost remove your opponent's health from the code. There is nothing more satisfying than getting an 8 hit combo as Anubis and ending it with his super, and then seeing the big K.O. when the move finishes.
I got this game over what I heard about Jesus in this game and then I started to unironically enjoy the game. It's so cheap, but it's so good. I haven't tried it out, but it looks like you can have a lobby with a total of 8 people. 2 fighting and 6 spectating. My literal only complaints are: Slow load times, despite being a small game on an SSD, which loads Killer Instinct levels in 2 seconds. And no way to mod this game. I might have just not looked hard enough, but I don't think there's any way to even tinker with texture files. The modding is not that important to me, I just personally want to change the music and voice lines.
OH, also, no bugs. Straight out of the box a smooth experience. Actually play it.

스킬을 쓰려면 이동키를 같이 써야해서 필요한 타이밍에 맞춰서 쓰기가 여럽다.
아케이드 모드에서 최종 보스 난이도가 갑자기 어려워져서 스킬콤보를 쓰지 않는 이상 깨기가 힘들었다.
격투게임을 많이 해보진 않았지만 조작이 어려운 걸 빼면 디자인도 좋고 재미도 있었다.

Es ist ein cooles games für zwischendurch oder für memes. Spielt sich wie ein älteres Street Fughter. Keine Bugs, es macht Spass als Fighting game und Qualität geht klar. Online kann man nicht erwarten, weil es keiner spielt, ausser vielleicht gegen Freunde. Die Character und Animationen sind ideenreich, lustig usw und machen den grössten Charme des Spiels aus. Die KI ist ziemlich gut und fühlt sich fast an wie menschliche Spieler.

What you got here is a lot more value than 10USD, the sale price. But let's talk about that.
+ The number of characters, stages, combo potentiality, and gameplay is beyond the value of 10USD
+ Devs definitely had mad fun designing these characters because their movesets and style are DOPE!
+ Surprisingly huge roster for an indie fighter
+ The AI can adapt to your repeated patterns minorly and decimate you (which is good cus' you'll be fighting AI a lot)
+ Some of the songs are BANGERS! And the maps are nothing to scoff at either, quite beautiful locations.
+ The in-game biography is wonderful if you wish to learn more about these Dieties.
+ Excellent local 1v1 play, if that's a surprise to anyone.
~ Arcade is almost every character
~ Anubis has a built in autocombo AND command grapple lol
~ A good Moses can actually juggle you so hard you die before landing, take that as you will
- Lack of balance
- The final boss of arcade mode is [spoiler]a made up character with OP stats and original moves XD[/spoiler]
- NO one will play this with you (and the versus achievements are PvP only)
- Bad balancing
- Bad Hit/Hurtboxes
- Amateur voice acting with single digit voice lines per character (I will fully voice a character for free if you let me no joke)
- Sometimes the AI gets in a state of brokenness (allows you to spam attacks)

More for the LOLs. Jesus fights the Buddha seems a bit old testament with the whole "I am a vengeful God" thing. Game play isn't the greatest and there are a few crashes to desktop! There is also Osiris, Odin, Zeus, Anubis, Athena, Sif, even Santa, and some other Gods and Goddesses as well. All in all not a bad game though some of it is a bit anime in appearance.

Kicsit csalódtam ebben, de alapvetően nem rossz. Harc kombinációk terén közepes, de az animációk terén is sajna nagyon minimalista. A grafika nem rossz, de egy 2019 játékhoz képes eléggé vissza maradott. Mindezek mellet le tudja kicsit kötni az embert, szóval egy akció keretein belül nem rossz vétel, ha bezsebeled.
