I love this game too much to give a fair review. Don't listen to me - I'll just yell at you to get it right away and then yell at you for 3 hours to tell me your favourite character and the 100 most favourite quotes from them. But hey, if you objectively do decide to buy this and legit enjoy playing it, hit me up so I can yell with ou for 3 hours about your favourite characters and trade all your 100 most favourite character dialogue quotes.
Ive been describing this game as "Girly pop Stardew Valley with QOL Mods" lovingly to my friends, and I think it fits

I realize this is early access and updates are coming fairly often. However, I find major problems with this game as it is now (3/27/26):
Looking at the map shows npc locations, but no identifiers as to which one they are. Several times I traveled a long distance thinking I was going to one npc only to find out it was a different one (not all face pics are clear enough). Very irksome when time is a luxury you do not have enough of due to distances.
Combat in upper levels of mine early on is too much - three-four different enemies at a time when you haven't been able to get armor yet, but you have to go in the mines to get ore for a town project. Boggles my mind.
Not being able to zoom out to see more of area you are traveling in.
The biggest deal-breaker for me was the exorbitant costs you pay for EVERYTHING, but the amount you receive for selling is abysmal.
I really wanted to like this game as the text dialogue is excellent, and the artistry is great (other than mini pictures in map). However, it is too much of a grind and getting around takes too much time to make exploring fun.
I hope they fix the issues and introduce some sort of teleport system. Then I will change my thumbs down to a thumbs up.
Very fun Farming Sim/Harvest Moon-like, with a lovely aesthetic. It does everything a good game of the genre needs: Good characters, cozy vibes, good progression, different options when it comes to crops, what stands out for me is the soundtrack and how well packed with content this is for an early access.

I love this game. I've been playing Stardew Valley for YEARS and I can see the potential for this game is HUGE.
Highlights:
- You can stretch out the day and make them longer which is a big stress relief. With these farming sims I always find myself struggling to get evrything done in the day and never have a chance to work on aesthetics without feeling like a have to sacrafice progress. Making the day last a little longer gave me the wiggle room to work on my farm while also making it look nice.
- You can change the aspect ratio (zoom in and out). I didn't notice this option right away but when I did I fell in love immediatly. being able to zoom out while running around the map made foraging a lot easier, and zooming in while adventuring made combat a lot more fun.
- YOU CAN JUMP! Rock in your way? Jump over it. Oh no, how will you get past that tree stump? You jump right over it. Boing! Boing! Boing! You'll never have to suffer the agony of accidentaly trapping yourself becaus your feet can come off the ground!
- YOU CAN SWIM! I didn't realize it right away but you can jump right into the water. I cannot begin to describe how life changing this feature was. It made the map feel more real, fuller, more explorable. There's also a unch of stuff you can do while swimming!
I would say this game as best described as being a low stress farm/adventure sim. Relationships don't decay, quests have no time limit, and the story progression never feels like a grind, A hot cup of coffee on a cold day, this game is both refreshing and relaxing.

so far very fun and cute. the villagers are all very intriguing and i lovee that the sound effects are varied to match their "voices." hard not to stress over the objective frequency but that may just be the completionist in me. will update when understanding further mechanics.
Fields of Mistria is such a joy to play. The art is beautiful, the world feels alive, and the characters are genuinely charming and fun to get to know.
What really makes it stand out is how many thoughtful quality-of-life improvements it includes opposed to other farming sims - being able to save in the middle of a day, and having a lost and found system for when your pockets are full??? Incredible. It smooths out the usual frustrations and makes everything feel more relaxing and enjoyable.
It’s cozy, polished, and incredibly easy to get lost in. Definitely a must-play for fans of the genre. I cannot wait for the full release!

Stardew Valley but with more quests, cuter/more likeable (IMO) townies and bachelor/bachelorettes, a magic system, and a little bit of an easier money grind.
I love that there are plenty of hair/clothing customizations to unlock, lots of ways to make money besides the traditional min-maxing crops, and so much unique dialogue. I talk to the NPCs daily and I still haven't run into any repetitive or boring dialogues after 30 hours of gameplay.
The bachelors/bachelorettes to me are more interesting and attractive than the options in Stardew Valley. Girl next door, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, chaotic inept witch, brash rowdy farmer - we've got it all.
The only real downside to FoM is that as of right now, it is still in early access so not all features are unlocked - including marriage and children.
I dont even normally like cozy games but this is SO fun and entertaining. I love the mines, they're engaging and fun and I keep wanting to go further and further.
Also, Eiland is SUCH A CUTIE. I love how many interactions we get with him through the artifact quests. Such a wholesome guy he makes me happy.

This game is so peaceful and beautiful. It's so similar to that of Stardew Valley, but I would argue that there's more style and options for the game that Stardew Valley lacks on its own without mods. It's so enriched with its story and background and I love how it incorporates different elements like magic and side quests into the main gameplay. 100% recommend!

You can see how much love and care the devs put into this game, and I think it's an amazing love letter to stardew valley (don't tell anyone but now I'd rather play Fields of Mistria) I hope everyone who's interested can give it a chance, I don't think they'll regret it!!
As someone who played their share of farming games, from Harvest Moon, to Stardew Valley, this one feels so very refreshing and fun to play! It reminds me of 90s anime and games, and has a fun cast of characters~! I truly adore it, and hope to see this game gets more love~! hehe~!

Fun gameplay with lovely characters. Runs smoothly.
I've been playing this game since it released in Early Access. It has an interesting setting and characters, almost everyone in town is kind to the player and each other. There are some accessibility settings you can toggle including changing keybinding, turning off screen shake, extending the day, and turning off energy penalty for passing out.
The game has really nice music and art. Character customization allows different looks that you can easily toggle between. You can change name and pronouns whenever you want. Which is great because it means you don't have to start a new save.
Personally I've been using mods for different cosmetics, but even without mods, the game is really satisfying to play.
Sometimes the game crashes, but I've only had it happen a handful of times in the hundreds of hours I've been playing. Bug and crash reporting is pretty easy and typically they get patched out by the next patch.
All in all, I think even at full price, Fields of Mistria is worth playing.

This is a cute game it needs some more meat on its bones and a few twaeks to things. There is some wierd grafical glitches where the screeen tears or refreshes wrong (I did have vsync on and off to test) so taht needs some work but thats EA things so...

This game is in a league of its own - I don't think I've ever played a farming game sim where I was ever so invested in the stories of the NPCs and especially the dateables. It can only get better too, since it's still EA, and each update has brought new and better aspects to the game.
great game a bug to fix would be that occasionally it just kicks me off and i have to restart the day. overall a great game cant wait to see it fully finished!!
if you're looking for a cute, cozy, farming sim game, this is it. this is stardew without the STRESS of optimizing your crops, mixed with a GOATED, well-written dating sim, and the undateable characters are so funny and likeable that I DIDN'T NOTICE THEY WEREN'T DATABLE unitl i noticed the lack of a relationship status. The story of this game so far is INSANELY well-written, the characters are all SOOOO GOOD.
TLDR; this game was an unexpectedly INSANELY GOOD dating/social sim, and everything else is sooo well-made and balanced too. 9/10, only flaw in this game is that it crashes sometimes but. she's in early access so I can let it slide.

I've seen games of this type that are basically 'It's Stardew, but...' and this game is quite literally just 'It's Stardew but with an 80s-90s anime style'.
Most major mechanics from Stardew are just copied 1:1 here, even the bad parts of Stardew that needed to go away forever.
-Stingy stamina system that will have the player going to bed at 1pm? Check.
-Utterly obnoxious Mines progression system where you have to break every single rock and pray RNG lets you make progress before you run out of stamina? Check.
-Combat that's a major part of the game content, but you essentially have one weapon type and no moves other than a basic attack? Check.
-Having to clearcut entire forests to make a single table? Check.
-No fast travel back home (at least not until late game) when that alone probably wastes 10-15% of the players game time? Check.
It does improve on a few things. Crafting still takes time but completes immediately in a cutscene, fishing is simpler and easier, no godawful 'friendship decay' mechanic, upgrading your tools doesn't cause you to lose them for a week because the blacksmith is too dumb to make a new one, etc.
It's not a bad game don't get me wrong, If you liked Stardew and want a new setting and cast, you will like this and the game is priced fairly. But come on, take SOME risks in your game design. Good game or not, this will just always be 'Anime Stardew' instead of feeling like its own game. It's just way too similar in nearly every single aspect.

I've been playing this game on and off since October 2024 and I find that I always return to it. There are so many things that I love about the game
1. There's so much to the storyline that I'm still getting new content after almost 130hours
2. The gameplay is so effortless and easy. Personally I prefer playing with my XBox controller on my PC, but playing with mouse and keyboard is just as easy.
3. The visuals and music are so calming, cute and satisfying. Clothing, decor, the animals- there is SO MUCH variety. The character animation is so beautiful.
A few things that I think don't work for me (this is a personal preference thing)
1. Even on the slowest setting, the days feel super short, which mean you can't really take advantage of the decor without sacrificing a lot of time.
2. My game crashed a few times even though I have a relatively high-performing PC. It's only been a handful of times, but enough to notice.
That being said, the pros FAR outweigh the cons, and this game has my whole heart

I really do like this game, it does feel fresh from other farming games while having the same low risk cozy feel that many of the others do. If you're someone like me who grew up loving and playing games like Harvest Moon, Rune Factory, and most recently Grimshire and Stardew Valley. I would highly recommend this game to you.

노가다를 싫어하거나 쉬운 게임을 원한다면 이 게임을 추천합니다. 게임의 전반적인 난이도가 매우 쉽고 노가다가 크게 필요하지 않아 피로도가 매우 적습니다.
현재는 공식으로 한국어를 지원하진 않지만 유저들이 만든 한글 패치가 존재하고 한글 패치를 하지 않더라도 대부분의 영어는 해석하는 게 어렵지 않으니 영어를 못하더라도 구매하는 걸 추천합니다.
아직 앞서 해보기 게임이지만 농사, 채집, 채광, 낚시, 퀘스트 등 여러 가지 콘텐츠가 있으니 지금 바로 정가로도 살만한 값어치가 있는 게임입니다.
has everything thats missing from me in other popular pixel farming games. the magic, the crafting, decor, cooking is also better. i love it all. for melanated players, its so satisfying to have multiple hair options, on top of that you can change hair and wardrobe whenever you want! 10/10, go for it. and the updates make it better and better, would definitely buy again when the full release comes out :)

I love it and its a nice change to the stardew valley, adds another game to the comfort game collection and rotation! Plus is that theres no consequences in romancing everyone ;D You can only marry one tho but thats okay! <3 Looking forward to full release but so far the game is already amazing!

Fields of Mistria is already an amazing game despite being in early access. The aesthetic and overall vibe are absolutely adorable, and the worldbuilding feels natural and effortless in a way that makes the world easy to get attached to.
The game has a very clear personality.
Even though the game is in early access there is already an impressive amount of content. And I really mean that! I have spent 127 hours in it and still have not completed everything.
As development continues, the game somehow feels even better. The modding community is also starting to come together, which adds even more variety and extra content, even if there are still some limitations there for now. Still, it adds to the feeling that this game has a very bright future ahead of it.
There are so many satisfying mechanics woven into the experience. Cooking, crafting, farming, breeding, selling, collecting, strengthening your character, all of these skills have their own sense of progression, and progressing through them feels genuinely rewarding. That is one of the game’s biggest strengths, it constantly feels good to play.
Even in its current state, the game is already great. It is charming, full of content, and clearly made with care. More than that, it shows a huge amount of potential for the future.
О я рекомендую гру! Якщо вам подобається жанр, це одна з найкращих поки що (з десятків, у які я грала). Музика, кольори, дизайни персонажів, скінів, тваринок і локацій дуже подобаються. Я не з тих хто сильно цікавиться діалогами в таких іграх, але деякі персонажі мають цілі арки розвитку протягом дружби. Я б хотіла більше такого,я кщо чесно. Битви з монтрами цікаві, бо монстри вимагають злегка різні тактики в бою. Але і мало забирають життя, і для казуальної гри це ідеальне рішення. Тут є рожеві і блакитні корови і я в захваті від цього. Подобається якість гри, видно що автори її люблять і хочуть зробити її ще кращою.
Love the game but time goes WAY too fast. Crafting things takes soooo much time and the days are barely 10 minutes long. With the size of the map I do like one thing and the days almost done. Also energy goes so quickly it's crazy. I love the game play but I hope they add a feature like other games to slow down days a bit so it feels more relaxed and cosy because I feel more stressed than relaxed trying to get things done in time haha. Can't wait for the next update, I love what they've added so far.

Generally I like games that require my full attention, but there's sometimes when I can't do that. When I'm in call or when I have an hour or two to kill before I gotta do something for example. So I find a bit of merit in grind heavy games like Pokemon and what not for this.
I did like Harvest Moon so I was looking for something akin to that preferably. Stardew Valley looks like terraria and I hate that game so I went with this one. On that topic I was a little worried initially because recently there's a lot of these "Nostalgia Bait" games that not only have zero depth but they also have this weird homogenized look to them where they try to look "90's" for example but it ends up looking like something you'd see on tumblr from someone who did zero research. This game mostly avoids that, to a degree. Some charecters definitely look Tumblr-fied, but otherwise the game actually looks like how they wanted it to.
As for the actual characters, I enjoy running into them and they're mostly inoffensive as your not forced to speak to ones you don't like. I hate Errol and March tho. March is like if ChatGPT was asked to make the most generic ass Tsundere you could ask for and Errol is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird. I like Nora the most but you can't partner with her unfortunately.
There's a surprising amount of options for what to do on a given day, there's also some cool events and when the season changes it feels fresh again since all of your available crops change, villagers outfits change and the music changes which is nice.
Some gripes I have is I wish the days were longer, like twice as long. Like every 3 seconds is 10 minutes in-game so the when the day ends I end up just back tracking to what I was doing before. Watering crops is a pain in the ass, it should not cost energy to water I have other things I wanna spend that energy on. there's also a bug or something where holding to water multiple crops at once aims you in the wrong direction sometimes.
In the future, I mean no multiplayer is a big one. Also please EVERYONE WILL HATE YOU BUT PLEASE add "Rivalry Marriages" from Harvest Moon to the game. Basically if you try to scum the game by going to bed over and over, the person your trying to marry will cuck you and marry some random ass NPC and pretend like it never happened. THAT ♥♥♥♥ WAS SO FUNNY.
I wanna reccomend it but its been a while since launch and theres still random crashes that cause loss of progression :(
O jogo é ótimo. Eu amo Stardew Valley, então também amei fields of mistria, tem novas missões todos os dias, os NPC´s tem personalidade, a mecânica do jogo é agradável! Recomendo bastante.
I downloaded this for fun on my bfs PC which is now OUR PC. I love this game. Super cute.
Andddd I love it. Damn. For real though, aside from recapturing the delightful Stardew vibes, it's refreshing to have some of the lore about the world unveiled through the different characters, only as you increase your hearts with them. I love how it feels impactful to get to know them, rather than just something to do for fun.

This is one of the most charming cozy games I’ve played in a while.
I farmed, I fished, I forgot what time it was.
This game is cute. I love the art direction to pieces, the array of characters is promising, and I found myself falling into the usual early game farm sim routine without any issue. I think there's a lot of potential here.
I will say what I know others have said too though: these characters and plotlines have no teeth. It feels like such a disconnect that these people drink as much as they do but no one has personal reasons behind it. No one really fights. No one is rude or mean in a non-tsundere way. No one has any real issues. It's honestly off-putting after some time. I'm still playing on despite this just to give it a fair shake, but these characters would have so much more depth and life if they had actual edges to them in some way.
Also, I don't usually add mods to a game unless I've played through them like three times already and want something new, but I had to download some QOL mods for this. I'm not too bothered by it right now since the game is still being regularly updated, but it's worth noting.
You can't romance the dragon
The game is super fun, and I honestly think that overall I like the total cast of NPCs just a little bit better than stardew valley, though I think the farming is a bit more fun in SDV Right now, what I'd say the game could use is more variance in NPC dialogue, I'm only at Fall year 1 but I'm already getting daily repeated dialogue from several of the npcs, which is sad considering how charming many of the npcs are. Of course the game is early access, so its fairly reasonable to hope that more dialogue will come later on.
some may look at this game and think "ah another farming sim. well i already have stardew, so i shouldn't get another one." i'm here to tell you that you are WRONG. fields of mistria isn't even fully released yet and in my professional opinion, it's better than stardew already. the characters feel so much more fleshed out and in depth. they have interactions with each other and comment on events that happen (such as adding something new to the museum) and are overall much more appealing (to me personally)
the gameplay is also much more appealing to me. the mines are nice, fishing isn't too difficult, and you can do magic and date [spoiler] god [/spoiler] which is pretty awesome.
on the topic of dating, the romancible characters in this game are varied and Awesome. capital A awesome. march has a rough exterior but a soft heart, eiland is cheery and whimsical, celine is sweet and helpful and balor is mysterious and intriguing (just to name a few!)
overall this game really is just so so lovely and i've enjoyed my time playing it so much. im looking forward to the full release but for now i will continue to plant crops and decorate my house! :)

So my friend got me this game around when it first launched in early access and I thought that I should wait until it fully releases. It's been just over a year and I was board so I booted this game up and I was sucked in. All the character are fun and cool and the game is just chill. One thing I really love about this game is sometimes in regular conversations a character would say something like "Oh hey you should try these cookies" or in a cutscene a character would be cooking and say "I made too much, take some with you" and you would actually GET THE ITEM??? The scene doesn't even need to be important, if you walk up to a character (I think you need to have some friendship with them) in lets say summer, they'd say "hey it's hot out here, you work outside a lot don't you? Take this" and they'll hand you a lemonade. It doesn't happen a bunch but it always brings a smile to my face to see it.
This is a really good game and I hope to see more festivals!!! It's not in the game yet btu a beach festival would be cool!!!
FoM is an excellent game worth trying! Like Stardew, it's got dungeons and social opportunities, while this game is packed with more magic and cuter items. The villager dialogues are very adorable. I also like that there are ways to automate some of the more tedious chores as the game progresses and the player can focus on whichever avenue tickles their fancy. Can't wait for the next updates! I recommend everyone try playing it!

こちらのゲームを購入して5日ほどになりますが、ゲーム内の毎日深夜2時ギリギリまで動き回って先ほど秋28日が終わりました。現時点で35時間以上遊んでます、あっというまにハマってしまいました.......！
自分は牧場物語・ルーンファクトリー・スタバレが好きでよく遊んでましたが、それぞれの良いとこどり＆ストレスフリーな環境でとても遊びやすいです!!（ゲーム性としてはやはりスタバレが一番近いですが^^;）
そして何より、キャラクター（ストーリー）に重きを置かれていてるのでセリフの種類やイベントが多く、modなどを入れずともこの量....すごい.......と個人的にとっっても感動しました；；
この後もレビューを更新する予定ですが、現段階での良いところ・物足りなく感じる点をまとめます！

・セリフの種類がとっっっても多い（キャラ同士でもよく喋ってくれるので会話見てるだけで楽しいです）
・どのキャラも個性的かつ平和な世界で全員が推しになる（早く全キャラ制覇したい.......）
・ストーリーがしっかりと存在している（牧場物語系のゲームでは珍しく感じる）
・キャラデザが本当にかわいい（90年代のアニメ調で好きな人にはとても刺さる）
・画面上のキャラのモーションが多くて見ていて飽きない（食べる飲むノートをとる吹き出しニコニコなど）

・操作面でストレスフリーな環境（かゆいところに届く....というよりかゆいところがあまりない感じ）
→主人公ジャンプできます!!!!!!
→クラフトや料理は全インベントリから参照してくれるので持ち歩く必要がない
→放牧はベル1つで勝手に出て入ってくれるので楽ちん
■物足りなく感じる点
◎日本語対応（現在は有志の方の日本語バッチで遊ばせていただいてます.....超切望してます.......）
・牧場の広さに対して作れる施設が少ない印象（まだ出てきてないだけだったらすみません.......）
・各キャラのハートイベントが比較的あっさりしている（もっとイチャコラしてほしい........すみません.....）
・キー配置は個人で変えたほうがよいかも（ギフトのＧがなかなか慣れずバタバタしてました.....すみません.....）
総じて本当に素敵なゲームだと感じています！開発元さんへ届きますように✉

A stand out in today's oversaturated "cozy" games market.
As a long time farm sim/cozy game player and lover, Fields of Mistria has been such a fitting title to put in my top favs and also one of my top recommendations to many people. The designs and music are charming, the story reminds me very much of a slice-of-life cozy anime, and gameplay feels comfortable without feeling monotonous. The devs have continuously been putting more features in with each major update that give so much more. There's a few updates left of more content to come but it still feels great to play now.

Kind of like stardew valley but a bit harder in the beginning, there are plenty of tutorials though and even if you skip them once you get used to it its more advanced! very fun and lots to do!!!

Si venís del SV, te lo recomiendo muchísimo. Lo único que noté que se mantiene en muchos jugadores como yo que venimos del otro, tardas un poco en acostumbrarte al mapa pero no es tan catastrófico como parece. La historia principal está muy buena, pero si no entendés inglés no te lo recomiendo aún. Nada, muy bueno. La mecánica de la pesca es genial, está muy bueno poder ver los npc en el mapa e incluso tu propia mascota, lo de tu perro o gato también está bueno porque te ayuda a recolectar cosas. Muy muy recomendado :3
Es un poco lo que soñaba cuando jugaba los antiguos Harvest Moon. Todavía en early access cuenta con mucho contenido, fácil más de 50 horas y, al parecer, los desarrolladores no sacan el pie del acelerador, los updates son constantes y equidistantes.
Un detalle personal, no necesario pero que ayuda, es mi gusto por el manga shoujo. Se ve claro en el apartado gráfico del juego: el diseño de los personajes, los colores pastel, etc. Y otra cosa a mencionar es la cantidad de texto y variaciones del mismo que han escrito, mucho mayor y mejor que otros juegos del mismo género.

Endless charm, tight controls, the daily routines are highly enjoyable, foraging-adventuring/farming balance extremely well executed, graphics are top tier, characters are well written.
Really nice and cozy game. I like all the characters and the writing of them, as well as how casual everything is while giving you plenty of things to do. I really like just playing it in my downtime to wind down from the day.
i just started this game, it's so addicting and i love it even more than stardew valley! i'm so pleasantly surprised. tasks don't feel tedious, and the game has a very chill vibe. there's a smaller town, and some mechanics are simplified but in a good way! everything is so streamlined and nice to play. i was reluctant to buy because i wondered how different it could be, but it truly is amazing <3

Fields of Mistria is easily one of my favourite games of this genre. I don't usually get sucked into games like this easily, but it hooked me from the start!
You can tell the game is made with a lot of love, and intention. The NPC's are likeable, NPC quests are doable and don't have short time limits to complete.
The colouring is sweet to look at and makes you feel right at home!
The decor is cute, and crafting recipes are often easy enough to obtain.
My favourite thing of all- Nothing is impossible to get or do. One thing I really found difficult with games like this was when there was a quest, or area that was really difficult to explore or complete and required hours of grinding to move on from it. In Fields of Mistria, while I DID spend hours grinding the mines, it was actually fun!
Mind you, if you get home late you wake up same time as normal, and you can adjust the day speed in settings.
I think for a game inspired by Stardew Valley (which I also do love dearly , don't get me wrong) the developers have created a real uniqueness and warmth within the game, between the town, the animals, the NPC's, and the amount of CHOICE you're given on what you'd like to do.
There's no pressure when playing Fields of Mistria, and it's cheap.

Play Fields of Mistria. Don't think about it, just do it.
