I am 32 years old.
My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old.
When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

Farm Frenzy: Heave Ho isn't really a proper game, it's just a lazy 2D browser/Flash-tier "number incrementer" game where the object of the game is to increase the in-game currency by clicking, and sometimes buying things that increase the rate at which your currency/score goes up. It's an incredibly shallow game loop, to the point you might as well just run a program that does "i=i+1; print i" and watch the numbers go up automatically, and just watch it. You'd get the exact same outcome. If this sounds completely mindless, you're not wrong. But there's some differentiation to the general incrementer theme here, as you're given levels and specific objectives to collect a certain number of things or click through a certain number of goals... but this is a very thin veneer over a very crappy game premise and a mediocre repetition of the old, dead theme.
The game has a family friendly farm-meets-cutesy pirate theme to finish the look of that thin veneer, but this seems almost predatory if you ask me. Games designed for children should have a little more to them than this shallow experience.
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
The game features simple, cartoony 2D graphics, of the type you normally expect to see in low effort mobile apps. 3D graphics programming does require a degree of skill and competence and unfortunately not all developers have the budget or talent to deliver this, despite 3D graphics cards hitting the mainstream in the 1990's. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing.
The controls can't be customised because the game has such a dumbed down, simplified interface that it's just iPhone screen tapping stuff. The fact that the interface is this dumbed down might be seen as a problem in itself, however... this is a fairly shallow experience if you're the kind of gamer that likes to play games with deep, rich control schemes and interaction. You'll get none of that here.
This looks and feels like a mobile app, but it doesn't seem to have made it to the app stores. It's unclear why this was put on Steam instead of the app stores it seems to have been designed for. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all).
Regardless, for all intents and purposes Farm Frenzy: Heave Ho might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a very healthy spike in player counts for the game. But this only appears around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.
Farm Frenzy: Heave Ho has the laughable, eye-watering price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product. If this is the kind of game you really want to play, don't waste $5 on Steam, this kind of game can be had for free on mobile app stores.

Pretty funny game, but after a while playing, it can be some confusing. The reason for the confusion is a lot of animals in a small area and a bit difficult to find the materials you need. This can be fixed by have lots of cats and dogs. I like this game pretty much, lots of different challanges.

El título lo dice todo, es un farm frenzy, esos juegos de la infancia que corrian hasta en la windows 98 destartalada que tu papá no quería soltar.
Juego básico de gestion de recursos con metas por tiempo de dificultad baja tirando para nula, lo único que requiere es pensar al inicio de cada nivel que te quedas, que vendes y por que objetivo arrancas para poder completar todo en tiempo y forma.
Este título en particular tiene ¿boosters? yas, ademas de el "dinero" para mejorar tus maquinas y acompañantes, trae boosters que podes conseguir por medio de una tragaperras que funciona con unos tokens especiales que te van dando a medida que completas logros in game (para cuando los añaden en steam los logros csm?) y al sacar la mejor puntuación de nivel (e incluso hay una opcion de comprar los token de booster en la tiendita de mejoras). Para mi es muy meh, no los vas a usar nunca a menos que no sepas jugar, estes aburrido y quieras acabar un nivel rápido o para el logro de utilizar 35 boosters.
En si es un juego entretenido para los casuals, niños y adultos que no se llevan muy bien con los juegos en general, o porque no tambien para los nostalgicos que de pequeños jugamos varios títulos de ésta serie de juegos tan estupidamente adictivos.
¿Cumple como farm frenzy? y si, es farm frenzy, dale nostalgico dale compralo, encima no vale ni 2 pe y tenes farm frenzy para rato. Le tiro unas 6-8 horas de juego si son los 90 niveles que leí en el apartado de logros in game ya que le estimo unas 2-3 horas cada 30 niveles (?)
El que se atreva a criticar los gráficos horriblemente hermosos de estos juegos, que diga fecha y lugar para agarrarnos a combos.

This is a wonderful game for someone who wants to use less buttons and have more fun. I downloaded this for my mother and she loves it a lot. She obviously cant play fighting games so this serves the purpose. She loves the gameplay and the concept both. Also this game focuses more on the gameplay than the story which is great.

I loved Farm Frenzy games when I was a child, but this pirate island edition doesn't appeal to me.

I enjoy this game. A lot of multi-tasking and fast paced. I always find myself coming back to play any of them to beat my times.

this is a standard time management game; each level gives you a set of objectives like collecting a number of items and creating food dishes. You're only given so much time and money to purchase livestock and tend to your land, so you have to figure out a strategy on what to buy and sell and also keeping the animals out of the barnyard and picking up produce before it disappears. this can be challenging , especially if you're trying to get high score, but can also be relaxing if you're not worried about the score.
Good chill game, not so challenging if you are familiar with this type of games.

Un jeu amusant où l'on doit bien gérer ses ressources afin de maximiser ses revenus en les vendant et produire des quantités suffisantes pour répondre aux objectifs. Les graphismes sont plaisants et le jeu est facile à prendre en main. Un bon passe-temps.

The graphics are well-drawn, in a cute cartoon style.
The gameplay is easy to learn.
It's a time management game in which the player has to raise hens, collect eggs, make and sell produce, and stop some rascally animals from stealing the eggs.
It's all good clean fun for youngsters.
呃，买了解压怀旧的，但其实因为每一关都要刷金箱子也不是很解压……内核几代都一样，也就是换了美术。但我玩三代之前都没用过猫和狗，现在还是用不到狗，但猫是必须的，不知道是不是老了眼花了……另外主线故事就算了吧，和动物一起开农场，猴子吃草产香蕉都罢了，猪吃草时不时产肉真的细思恐极
Отчасти аркада, отчасти симулятор бизнеса, она объединяет некоторые элементы, такие, как: сбор урожая, проверка твоих рефлексов и реакции, (а так же надо не забывать получать про золото на каждом уровне;).
Рекомендую поиграть, если хочется убить время.
Hab die ersten Teile früher sehr gerne gespielt, muss aber leider sagen, dass es viel von seinem Charme eingebüßt hat.
Obwohl ich die Idee mit den Piraten noch ganz nett finde, ist es viel zu einfach. Für die 20 oder so Level die ich bisher gespielt hab, brauchte ich keine einzige Wiederholung. Außerdem sind einige Spielmechaniken die es "spannender" (wenn das bei so einem Spiel geht) gemacht haben weg, wie z.B. das Beschleunigen von Gebäuden, die wenn man nicht aufpasst explodieren oder dass die Bären, wenn man sie nicht ins Warenlager verstaut die Gebäude beim ausbrechen zerstören.
Alles in allem für die paar Cent (habs für 0,49€ im Sale gekauft) immer noch ein netter Zeitvertreib, das wars aber leider auch schon.
