Находка! Из пьяной драки геймплей быстро превращается в крайне интересное исследование подземелий со сложной боевкой.
Из хотелок:
* Локализацию, конечно. Текста тут не много, но он есть. В сети есть русик, но говорят, он с вирусом, да и ставится только на бету.
* 3 вариант вооружения. Т.к. 1 всегда под факел, второй под длинную двуручку. Хотелось бы еще один под щит или два меча.
* Очень не хватает какого-то аналога факела на начальных уровнях. Ждем магическую ветку света.
* Режим, где камера в бою фиксировалась бы за спиной персонажа (не следовала бы за мышкой, а именно за спиной).
* Перестать класть карту уровня в конец уровня.
Советы новичкам:
* Не ждите обнов, сиё явление крайне редкое. Но разработчик что-то там делает, мы не знаем что, но что-то точно.
* Нормального обучения нет, но есть мануал в главном меню, почитайте (с переводчиком). Серьезно, там много полезного.
* Как и советует мануал, пока к боевке не привыкните, в начале битв лучше избегать. Уверяю, лучше тихо поискать броню в сундуках, чем пытаться отнимать у бомжа его канделябр.
* Ознакомьтесь с возможными навыками ("K", реализовано не все) и магией ("P", реализовано только 2 ветки, но и там есть пустышки). Например, я очень зря не знал о навыке уменьшающем вес брони или позволяющим использовать несколько магических эффектов постоянно.
* Для изучения магии нужны соответствующие скиллы (на каждой иконке магии внизу написано, что нужно изучить, самые первые без требований).
* У шмоток есть 2 типа качества. 1. как его изготовили (улучшить нельзя), 2. состояние (улучшить можно).
* Чтобы завербовать Даррена или проверить его инвентарь надо с ним поговорить ("T").
* В оружии решают не только циферки (шарики). Длинное и тяжелое оружие с 1 шариком бьет куда страшнее, чем короткий мечик с 3 шариками (условно).
* Пробуйте разное оружие. Например, только на часу 20 я решил попробовать одноручную пику и быстро понял, что она крутецкая.
Very funny situations, much fun was had.
No update for two years
Has the funniest/hardest combat I've had to learn for a game. Taking the game slow and getting all the best out of the story, I'm at 42 hours. While there is still the arena, which would seem to be just as long. That alone would be worth this price, but they're slowly continuing development on top of it.
p.s. Was able to get 165fps (8gb VRAM) but this isn't even needed for a game like this.

For all intents and purposes, this game is dead and has been for a long time. The developers have been periodically making posts about this or that but there really hasn't been a move in a positive direction in years. I wouldn't waste your money unless you like how the game is today. Basically it is what it is - don't expect anything more.
This game has a pretty difficult learning curve but once you get a hang of it its a fun game. Unfortunately the game doesnt receive updates at ALL but other than that the game is pretty cool :) i love daren

Lmfao This game is complete, but trapped in early access development hell and will never leave. The Developer said that 1.0 version of the game is arbitrary and doesn't really matter. I would love a major content update since the main game feels like no changes have happened since 2015 other than lighting. Any feature that I liked has turned out to be a "bug" that is now gone.
Me and Derrin are now exploring each others bodies, not just dungeons.

Это хорошая игра. Некоторых может оттолкнуть боевка и необычный подход к некоторым геймплейным элементам, но понять как работает игра можно достаточно легко, нужно лишь почитать всегда доступный мануал (Я не знаю английский хорошо, но некоторые моменты просто понимал, а что-то переводил в гугле, это не проблема). Если у вас возникнут трудности в бою, зайдите на арену в режиме практики, бой за боем вы поймете, что враги такие же кривожопые, как и ваш герой, нужно просто привыкнуть и вот вы уже гроза местных подземелий. Не обманывайтесь отзывам о кривизне, игра сделана хорошо и грамотно, но необычно, и вам просто понадобиться время чтобы освоиться. Единственное, чего хотелось бы, это больше контента (В игре его достаточно, просто хочется еще и еще)

Very fun but obviously the sui generis game is not coming out. I think the base game now is totally worth the price so give it a shot.
Und so stolperte ich ein wenig tollpatschig durch die Dunkelheit und kam in diesen Raum. Es muss eine Schmiede gewesen sein, überall für mich wertlose Schmiedezaun-Elemente. Doch da war dieses Gatter, aus schwerem Eisen. Zu schwer für mich zu öffnen, also stolperte ich Richtung Ausgang...als ich diesen Hebel an der Wand entdeckte... Ich zog daran und es rasselte und donnerte...das Gatter war oben! Ich rannte los, die lange Treppe und die Empore hinauf - doch auf halben Wege fiel das Tor wieder zu. Ein mal...zwei mal...nicht zu schaffen.
Doch dann sah ich diese alte Holztür aif dem Boden liegen. Ich stapelte mühsam etwas Schrott vor der Empore und legte vorsichtig das Türblatt darauf..fertig war die Rampe..und meine Abkürzung mach oben. Ich zog am Hebel ind stolperte, rannte los...die Rampe hinauf..und glaubte es selber kaum - es gelang! Ich war auf der anderen Seite!
Und es lohnte sich... Spinnenweben fielen mir ins Gesicht und im Halbdunkeln erblickte ich einen verstarkten Eisenschrank. Darin..ich traute meine Augen kaum, ein Eiserner Harnisch und eine Hippe...meine Augen glänzten, ich legte die neue Ausrüstung an und trat den Rückweg an. Gestarkt. Stolz. Am Leben.
I bought this game 10 years ago and they haven't updated it for 2 years. You have to go to their discord to get a chance at getting a code to acess the latest branch for a game still in alpha. One of the worst thing is people defending the game on the steam forums it actualy looks like a cult. Every single month the devs update us on the "progress of the game" but they never release anything they got "insiders" for that. Screw the people that have been supporting you for the past decade. This is beyonds pathetic.

это самое душное и безжизненное, во что я когда-либо играл.. этот мудак даже факел в руки взять не может. я перепробовал нажать абсолютно всё, И ЭТО НЕ ПОДЕЙСТВОВАЛО!!! всё, что мне удалось, это взять факел мышкой и тащить его за собой, перебегая по 3 метра с остановками на то, чтобы подтащить его. бл*ять, СЕРЬЕЗНО??????? а оружием тоже мышкой вокруг героя махать? такой тупой системы я еще не видел. и тупость заключается в том, что ничего непонятно. а для чего писался туториал - для меня величайшая загадка, ведь я так и не нашел в нем упоминания, какие клавиши нажимать )) я даже дошел до первого врага, но ума не приложу, почему на кнопку атаки персонаж пытается с ним поздороваться.

In Arena mode, i take off low health guys armor to slap it on the combatants. It takes a while and id like there to be a way to auto-equip unused armor or smth. Also, in reserve i just go in with a good weapon and peel off the armor between rounds over the 1v3. Also, I have no idea what build my character has when im going into a fight, sometimes i go in with nothing but a short metal stick. Also, the game is pretty unoptimized or maybe too many assets because every hour i completely freeze for a whole minute. I got a 3090 with 64 gb ram.
Base game: there are soo many useless items like empty bottles or sealed bottles. you can just chill with the monsters cuz they only really drop exp. I would add a crafting menu or something with the potion tools where you can use monster parts to make some health potions that will restore a fraction of your max health or even mana.
ХЗ чё все разнылись что это технодемка. Уникальная по сути игра с давно забытыми геймплейными возможностями и не казуальным повествованием сюжета. Вполне годная игра, хоть и концовки нет (да хрен вы до неё доберётесь ещё)
Devs haven't updated this in two years but every month will put out a few paragraphs about how they're testing this and polishing that all while their game is rotting in early access hell.
Maybe the devs should get into writing novels, seems like they're more capable of doing that.
Fans of the game are even worse actually defending this behaviour like its to be expected and saying to have faith or just wait. Yeah just wait another 11 years maybe it'll release.

<총평>
본인은 중세 판금갑옷 입고 투박하게 싸우는걸 원했고
RPG 요소-스토리, 퀘스트, 마법, 턴제, 동료, 대화 등등 귀찮은 것들-을 싫어함
그냥 닥치고 솔플로 전투-전투-전투 원툴인 게임을 원했기 때문에 입맛에 딱 맞음
실제로 딱 그런 게임임
나랑 취향이 비슷한 사람이면 그냥 바로 사는걸 추천. 이 게임은 어차피 할인도 안 함
<만약 당신이 구매 했다면>
처음 시작하면 짜증이 확 남
조종 방식이 일반적인 게임이랑 달라서 불편함
(근데 또 이런 방식이 아니면 이런 섬세한 움직임을 구현 못했을듯)
전투 중 마우스 조준을 계속 해야돼서 긴장도와 피로감이 큼
몸이 말랑거리는 젤리같고 마치 꼭두각시를 실로 조종하는 것처럼 움직임
무게 중심이 상체에 있고 다리는 상체가 움직이는대로 이끌려가는 듯한 모습이라 어색하고 이상함
물론 그렇다고 개발자가 무게중심을 하체에 두면 또 상체가 달랑거리면서 하체에 이끌려가는 느낌이라 이상했을듯
이러나 저러나 코어근육 없이 흐느적 거리면서 움직이는게 문제
(2026년 3월 기준으로 개발자가 뭐 근육 어쩌고 크게 업데이트한다는데 아직 예고만 한 상태라서 뭐가 어떻게 바뀔지 잘 모르겠음)
[한손검+방패 팁]
본인은 아레나 엑스퍼트 랭크에서 승률이 거의 70%가까이 나오고 있음
다른 리뷰 보니까 여기까지하면 어느정도 감 잡은거라던데
내가 좋아하는 한손검+방패 낀 기준으로 뉴비가 뉴비에게 팁 주자면
1) 한손검 기본 사용법
1-1) 빈틈을 노려 달려들어라
상대가 헛스윙 하는 순간 돌진하는 기본 중의 기본기임
보통 상대는 전투 시작할때 먼저 휘두르면서 오는데
내 시선 기준 상대의 무기가 왼쪽으로 휘둘러지고 오른쪽이 활짝 열리는 틈을 노려야함
이걸 S키로 한 발짝 후퇴하면서 피하고 바로 W키로 돌진해서 패는거임
다시 강조하지만, 상대가 내 시선에서 왼쪽(내 방패가 있는)으로 무기를 휘두른 상태에 돌진하는 것이 좋음
상대의 무기 앞을 내 왼쪽 방패가 가로막게 돼서 적이 반격과 방어를 모두 못하기 때문
그리고 무방비하게 활짝 열려있는 연약하고 부드러운 오른편(내기준)을 내 오른손 검으로 때리고 들어가는 것
1-2) 마우스를 크게 움직이지 않는다
마우스 커서를 상대 있는 방향으로 좌클릭 꾹 누른채로 있으면 알아서 칼 휘두름
절대 마우스를 크게 움직이면 안 됨. 움직임이 커지고 균형감각을 잃으며 쉽게 허점을 노출하게됨
(공략글들 보면 휘두를때 방향키로 체중을 싣고 마우스 스윙을 45도 각도로 어쩌고하는데
한손검은 공속이 빨라서 그냥 마우스 움직임 없이 누르고만 있는것이 승률이 더 높았음)
그러다 상대가 힘빠져서 움직임 둔해지는 순간이 보이는데 이때 W키로 앞으로 나가면서 Alt+좌클릭으로 상대 정조준해서 찌르기 하면 치명상 입힘
찌르기가 명중시키긴 어렵지만 어억 하는 비명 소리 날 정도로 제대로 들어가기만 하면 엄청 유리해짐
1-3) 숟가락 살인마가 되어라
판금갑옷 입은 상대는 아무리 한손검으로 베어도 피도 안나고 비명도 안 지름
하지만 딜은 계속 들어가고 있으니 믿고 계속 때려야함
계속 몸 들이대면서 퉁 탕 퉁 탕 하다보면 결국엔 상대 죽음
숟가락 살인마 처럼 약한 공격이라도 쉴틈없이 하는게 중요
1-4) 찔러라
Alt+좌클릭으로 할 수 있는 이 찌르기(Thrust)는
판금갑옷도 관통하기 때문에 한손검에서 가장 묵직한 데미지를 줄 수 있는 필살기임
찌르는 타이밍에 맞춰서 W키로 전진하면서 찌르면 관성력 때문에 더 쎄게 찌를 수 있음
제대로 꽂히면 우욱!소리 나면서 상대가 살짝 스턴걸린 것 처럼 되는데 이때 연속으로 계속 푹푹 찌르면서 초죽음으로 만들 수 있음
하지만 강력한 만큼 사용하기 까다로움
일단 점 공격이기 때문에 마우스 에임이 조금만 빗나가도 허공을 찌르게됨
때문에 화면을 최대한 확대해서 최대한 정확하게 조준하는 것이 기본 중의 기본임
물론 상대 ai도 찌르기의 장단점을 알기에 찌르기 타이밍에 맞춰 좌우로 쓱쓱 피해서 성공률이 낮은편
찌르기 실패시 광활한 등짝을 무방비 상태로 적에게 노출하게 돼서 매우 아프게 맞게됨
따라서 기회를 잘 봐가면서 써야함
즉, 상대의 무기가 내기준 왼쪽에 있을때 찔러야함
그래야만 찌르기가 들어갔을때 상대가 활짝열린 내 오른쪽 등짝을 반격하지 못함
왼편은 방패가 알아서 막아줄테고.
또한 ai의 심리를 역이용하는 법도 있는데, 적 ai는 주로 찌르기를 내기준 오른편으로 피하면서 바로 백핸드로 내 등짝에 반격하는 경향이 있으므로
찌르기를 할때는 적의 몸통 중앙에서 살짝 오른쪽을 찌른다고 생각하고 찌르면
적이 오른쪽으로 피하려다가 찌르기를 정통으로 맞게 됨.
2) 적 무기에 따른 대처법
2-1)상대가 한손무기+방패일때
상대도 한손무기+방패면 서로 붙어서 방패만 때리는 우스꽝스러운 난타전이 벌어지는데
이때는 Alt 찌르기를 쓰면 점 공격으로 예리하게 들어가기 때문에 공격이 잘먹힘
보통 Alt를 활용한 찌르기를 할때는 W키로 돌진하면서 찌르는 것이 유용하지만
찌르기도 어느정도 공간 확보가 필요하기 때문에
검방VS검방 처럼 들러붙는 적을 상대할때는 이미 공간이 너무 좁혀져있어 찌르기가 먹히지 않음
따라서 W없이 Alt만으로 찌르는 것이 성공률이 높음
그렇다고 무작정 찌르기만 하면 거리조절이 안 돼서 멍하게 찌를 준비만 한 자세로 신명나게 두들겨 맞아 죽을 수 있음
적당히 치고나면 S키로 빠져서 상대의 헛손질을 기다렸다가 다시 돌격하면 틈을 공격하는 것이 중요함
따라서 전투의 전체적인 모습은 서로 치고 빠지고 치고 빠지고 찌르고의 연속임
2-2) 상대가 양손무기일때
상대가 양손무기면 리치에서 내가 불리하기 때문에 거리 두지 않고 계속 달라붙어서 비비면서 칼 휘저어야함
양손무기는 날붙이가 있는 끝부분으로 맞아야 아프기 때문에
내가 달라붙어있으면 계속 손잡이 부분으로 맞아서 별로 아프지 않음
그래서 상대는 계속 거리를 두려고 뒷걸음질을 치게 되는데
그러다가 벽에 부딪히게됨
여기서 중요한게, 상대가 벽에 부딪히면 더이상 w 전진을 하지 않고 에임만 노려서 공격하는게 좋음
상대가 더이상 물러날곳이 없는데도 내가 계속 전진하면
벽에 부딪혀 서로 뒤엉키면서 넘어지거나, 상대가 옆으로 피하는순간 내가 돌진해서 나 혼자 벽에 부딪혀 넘어지게 됨
상대가 벽에 붙었을땐 더이상 W키 전진 하지말고 그자리에 서서 찌르거나 때려주면 됨
그리고 가끔 상대가 극강의 Ai를 탑재하고 오면 투우사 처럼 비스듬히 후진하면서 머리 탁탁 때려대는 경우도 있는데
대체 Ai에 어떤 로직 때문에 이 정도로 기민한지 알 수 없지만
몇 번 딜교 해보고 예사롭지 않은 상대일땐 다시 기본으로 돌아가서 상대 헛손질-나 돌진 반복해야함
2-3) 상대가 쌍수 무기 일때
개인적으로 검방으로서 제일 까다로운 상대가 쌍수 무기라고 느낌
오른쪽 왼쪽 모두 무기가 들려있어서 찌르기로 들어갈 빈틈이 없음
심지어 두가지 무기중 하나는 공포스런 둔기를 들고 있기 때문에
잘못 찌르고 들어갔다간 치명적인 크러싱 데미지를 입을 수 있음. 이거 한방만 맞아도 헤롱거리면서 빈사상태됨
따라서 절대 무리하게 찌르기를 들어가지 말고
치고 빠지고 치고 빠지고 식의 아주 기본적인 칼 휘두르기 전술을 위주로 써야함
가장 전투가 오래 걸리고 뷰 이동도 많이 해야되고 어지럽고 긴장되고 피로감 드는 상대임
아직은 만족중. 템 셋팅하는 재미도 있음
이 리뷰는 향후 플레이가 진행되면서 수정될 수 있음
Keeping things simple:
Devs probably DO want to make a game, but get so stuck in engine reworks, pathfinding, and development facility tools that despite their many years, they don't even have a game to show for it. They clearly have cold feet about actually making content or committing to a framework. There is no indication that there will be a change of direction/pace in the NEXT decade, either.
So no, I wouldn't recommend it. I don't get content out of empty community updates.
There are better value propositions in 2026. You're looking at 5-10 hours here unless it becomes a Special Interest.
The devs don't deserve your money. Get it from "other sources" instead.
Decade long early access aside, pretty good game.

This game's combat is simply amazing.
It's rare that you see and feel the skill growth in other games and this is another level. So satisfying. You just need to get over the first "Hurdle" of understanding the movement and the physics. Then it's endless fun.
Punitive gameplay fused with wacky physics on a backdrop of alluring aesthetics and enigmatic lore. Well worth the 15 bucks regardless of dev drama

I bought the game out of curiosity to see what it was like.
During combat, the controls feel extremely unusual — and I don’t mean in the sense that precise attacks require practice. I mean that even turning left or right and simply moving across a room without stumbling over your own character feels like something that requires training.
The control scheme is not intuitive at all, and the coordinate system feels highly disorienting. In my opinion, this doesn’t revolutionize game design — it simply makes the game appeal to a very narrow audience.

Great game. I had a lot of fun with physics based system. Arena system is fun story mode is interesting as well but mught get confusing. if You like hard games get it. Combat has a steep learning curve but once you get it the satisfaction awaits. if you just got a game start with the practice mode once you get past that you'll be ready for the rest for sure.

I was in my early 20s when I stumbled across a kickstarter for a game called Sui Generis that filled me with a longing and sense of wonder for a game I didn't know I had. Now I sit here, pushing 40 with a wife, kids, planning for retirement. Todd Howard aint got nothing on Bare Metal...
I loved it. Big fan of the dark, gritty dungeon diablo with just a bit more hardcore features. It kinda slaps man, once you can get the physics down (which is such a sick USP of this game) it becomes a real fight for survival after that. I will say the spells feel a little weird and almost never used as the melee physics is just too addicting when you get that full swing one hit headie...
The arena was where I spent at least 30+ hours in, great way to expand on it's systems in place - a little odd fitting, might be better to unlock it after some point in the main storyline?? For a hardcore survival having a completely free arena fight when i've just opted to throw myself into a dungeon crawler just plugs you out of the story right off the bat IMO. Is it not better to experience your first enemy, get toasted then be like "arena unlocked"?
Overall though - loved it men! So much attention to detail and truly awesome delivery. Unsure about the lengthy dev logs, they could be 3/4 less in size and give themselves hours of more time to refine their system.

devs are anti-modding and the game has some really frustrating features, mainly terrible inventory management and a pretty frustrating interaction between the save and companion system which will require you to go die and redo a bunch of the game when your buddy decides to jump off a cliff or stand in front of your attacks if you'd like to keep around the game's only companion.
Unique and great game as it is right now. I stumbled upon this gem by random yt recommendation when movement wasn't stable enough, so it looked funny to see how someone trips and falls over and over trying to bonk enemy with a plank, while said enemy does exactly the same, and then I was surprised to see that the game is actually really interesting if taken seriously. I liked the lore (at least parts of it I was able to find yet), the combat, equipment system and how everything is physically interactive. Use random object as a way to solve puzzle, to make a bridge, to force enemy to trip, or try to put a bucket on your head as a helmet - kind of works..
Exploring is nice too (at least first playthroughs, since levels (but not most of the loot) is static, you'll just learn them at some point)
And as many negative reviewers, I was (and slightly still) hoping to see Sui Generis one day, but even considering it may never happen, Exanima already does have pretty good amount of content.
Also, being (sort of)developer myself, I think amount of work devs put in this game is absolutely amazing, and hopefully will someday bring their - and our - dream game to life. Best games are always made of systems, not of just big worlds or asset counts.
Next generation game content no joke, I'm a fan for life! If your skeptical read his dev-logs, late 2025 and onward, they have screen shots if you just want to take a glance. The game play is addicting, I put in 30 hours in 3 days.
Cool "tech demo". Fair playtime. Might get cooler or simply inspire.
Unique stuff. Screw all the impatient people that beg for updates.
Amazing and hoping it gets finished, also hoping for Sui Generis!

Game is just a charity case at this stage its been 2 years since the last update and while they are consistent on the dev blogs and seemingly transparent I and many others are beginning to get fustrated with the pace of updates it just seems like feature creep and constantly reiterating on older systems to create a game which ultimately a very niche community of players will purchase and play we're not looking for perfection most of us are happy with the way the game feels as is and while I appreciate how ambitious the game dev blogs are I think they need to role back the enthusiasm and start updating the game we payed for lest it end up buried amoung the countless other "never left early access games" its a great game i recommend it but with what were given and the amount of time elapsed it's just starting to weigh in on if it was worth funding or not. if you disagree fine I don't particularly care fact of the matter is its been 2 years and I want content not dev blogs.

Early access title with over two years since the last update. That pretty much says it all.
This is a joke not a game. The character lands a strikes with a speed of a man about to die from exhaustion.
It doesn't matter what you have long stuff or small dagger the attack speed is ridiculously slow. You fight not the enemies but bad game design and unusable controls. Would refund if could, already spend 3 hour trying to play this garbage.

Loved playing barbie with Derrin and getting slammed by a dude named Sir...
Just started, but I had to come here and write a review. The game is awesome. Most fresh and original combat in a game I've seen in a long time. Movement and swinging your weapon takes a second to get the hand of, but it is well worth the time. The way you interact with your environment is also very unique. My favorite part is everything in the game is weighty and deliberate. I did have to remap my controls instantly though the base controls weren't it for me.
Like I said just started will update if my opinion changes
It's got it's funny moments, like when I thought I could just jump down this flight on stairs, my character instead fell on it's face and died, laughed my ass off.
But unfortunately too complicated to control for it's own good and repeating the first level over and over just gets boring, I have to play in chunks of 30 minutes or I get annoyed. If it was procedurally generated every run would feel more unique.
I don't like the mouse movement, if they reworked the controls and gave a better WASD experience would improve it immediately.

after not playing for a lil bit my mouse will not show up in game anymore ive reinstalled and all but it still wont show. how old is this game now and it still happens

this has some real potential im really glad to see the devs are still working on this wonderful project its been the most fun ive had with a game in a minute

A relic sadly. It is likely never going to be released nor finished which is such a shame but this 10+ year early access is effectively a tell that it won't get done, and this isn't exactly some Dwarf Fortress bigger than life project.
Some notes:
* As others have noted, the core physics have changed multiple times now alongside controls while doing nothing to really make the controls feel nor respond better. It's still very easy to trip and fall while simaltaneously combat feels extremely turn based with little you can do otherwise. Simply walking in combat is a pain and the AI is infinitely better at it than you are.
* AI was apparently added at some point which is a massive shame as this game, while also never being finished, is now tainted with AI slop.
* Technically it has an adventure mode and a arena-sim mode, both of which are in different stages of underbaked.
* Some interesting ideas [The point-and-click inventory and item equipment] just adds further layers of convoluted onto the game.
Every few years I'd come back to check and see if anything of note has really happened and... Nope! There's obviously been additions and changes, but they haven't been for the better nor massively impressive. There is also, similarly, other games in this genre now such as Half-Sword so it's hard to really recommend unless you want a poorly controlled isometric dungeon crawler which is "Hard" that will never be finished. It's such a shame but I don't know what else to do but put a negative review down until both the AI is removed and the game is finished, whatever "Finished" will mean by then.

The strangest soulslike ive ever played. (would heavily reccomend)
Although I am only 9hrs into the game, I am up to level 3 and I have also spent some time in Arena. I have found the game to be great, I love that the combat is physics based and movement of the weapon and footwork matters.
I do however absolutely hate that the camera often gets me killed because the wasd keys follow in line of where your reticle is for your mouse, which is horrible when you are fighting and moving your mouse to fight. I think having an auto lock on or something like that would seriously help gameplay.
Currently I am recommending it, but beware of death by camera angle.
Game is super hard but fun to learn. Each kill you get is super rewarding and searching for better gear with Derrin is always a good time. Funny ragdoll type physics as well.
Game: Good, hard.
Early Access description: I don't like that they explain this is really just a test for their bigger upcoming game...
