Perhaps not for me and maybe I'm a bit too callous but I'm finding this game obnoxious and shallow. I open a bit of poetry or clip here and there but I'm struggling to find it relatable or inciting something in me. I guess it went past my threshold of quirky and it just felt silly 🤷♂️
What an amazing art piece!
I feel bad giving this a negative rating but I'm not sure what to really make out of any of this. I think the artstyle is great and there were a few vignettes that struck a chord but most of the deeper themes are buried in their own little poetry sections that I just don't really feel motivated to read w/ how shallow most of the core game's messages are presented. The constant grammar mistakes didn't help either. Maybe I just haven't taken the time to process it properly but this kinda just left me empty

Masterpiece! This game deeply intruigues me with its philosophical implications and brings me so much comfort with its peculiar, ordinary, and chaotic sensory overload ambience. This mashup of absurdism, deep unearthed trauma, poetry, and wonder allows us to explore our minds and shelter us from the world, as we all have a part of our soul that is broken, yet so beautiful. I had played this game before but I just had to purchase it again as I absolutely love it and will definetly be playing through it multiple times to uncover and recover such abstract messages and different meanings. Definetly one of my favorite games of all time! :D

A beautiful game hidden beneath silly bunnies and other wondrous specimen. Sincere and deep cut. The sheer grotesque of how deep the cuts are is what makes this game so beautiful. Made me feel seen through both comfort and exposure, and now here this game lies bare in front of me, digging its hands bare into my heart and making itself a home. Everything wil be OK. You can feel it will, even if it doesn't seem like so. Worth the full price. It's not even expensive anyways. Buy buy buy

A brilliantly sobering art piece that has offered me advice that no-one in my life has ever been able to, something realistic, a mantra like “You are strong enough because you have no other choice.” If you’ve ever struggled with mental health, I’m sure this game’s honesty will be a breath of fresh air, a great solace, what with how people treat things like depression today and their sorry advice: this game offers great humor tackling those perceptions, things people that don’t understand will tell you, it’s anything but “lol random.” Every minigame or “page” as they are described in the game tackles things such as low self-esteem or social anxiety like they’re the biggest deal in the world, and I wouldn’t have it any other way when such low points of life really feel that way, like it’s the end of the world, the pages are like a big cold hug. This game is one of the things that keeps me going, and it’s only two dollars.

Más que un juego, creo que es más correcto decir que es una aplicación, una compuesta por un montón de mensajes cargados de inseguridades representados por conejitos, que está claro vienen de alguien que está gritando al abismo, pero lamentablemente el abismo no está emocionalmente disponible estos días. Los mensajes que tira tampoco son muy sutiles que digamos, pero todo está presentado de una manera bastante única, así que… es interesante. No es algo que vaya a recomendar a cualquiera, ni mucho menos, pero si ves las imágenes en Steam y te llama la atención de alguna forma, capaz encuentres algo para vos acá.

I've written a review like 3 times now, and every time it get's gobbled up by the Steam servers, never to be seen again. I'm just going to give the TL;DR at this point
Please add trigger warnings for the topics and photosensitive conditions in the game itself. These aren't made obvious to you whatsoever until its blasted in your face with zero subtlety, and I had to stop playing the game entirely because of it.
The game, isn't really a "game". It's more comparable to the experience you get browsing weird obscure websites, just with a comically large bucket-load of uncalled trauma dumping inside, with varying levels of direct, explicit re-tellings of someone's life experiences, to thinly veiled allegories that are so blunt that it feels almost insulting.
Maybe that's the point of the game, and I just don't get it. That's fine. I still think it's a work of art in its own right and it deserves to be seen as such. I just personally don't think any of the themes are well executed in any manner other than being shocking and blunt.
At first I thought this was just a quirky visual experimental game (which was still pretty impressive without the context), but it cuts deeper after reading "missing page 2". I feel for the author's experiences and the callousness in some reviews (not surprised). We certainly not live in the best era, maybe it keeps getting worse. But how about staying a little bit longer, just to see what happens? I know sometimes or all the time, this is a place that is hard to put up with, but still, after all, we are [i]not the ones[/i] who should disappear.
Everything is going to be OK is a beauty, a sort of interactive media program with a lot of content, combining writing on very sensitive topics, such as trauma and mental health, with glitchy art and internet humour.
I'm not going to break down all the philosophical and self-help stuff that the title refers to, but I will say that it helped me personally to make some important decisions in my life and even change the way I look at certain things.
Other than that, if you don't care about that part, it's totally enjoyable, you can play it ignoring the long texts and just enjoy the humour and dark memes. The whole game is separated into 30 parts that can be consumed in any order and as many times as you want.
In my opinion, a masterpiece, and I recommend not to buy it on sale, it's worth the full price.

I think Mackrelmedia Fish is still my favorite of Lawhead's art, but this one is in a very close second place. Going in somewhat blind and then gradually understanding the subtext of all the pages (and then just reading the text of the missing pages) feels almost like a detective game. Except y'know, with the added horror that this is an autobiography.
The whiplash of buying something as emotionally honest as this for a single euro is pretty remarkable too. I spent thrice the amount of money on a single hot chocolate today.
Please buy this game if you think you'll enjoy it. It's going to be OK in the end : )
This is a bit of a bizarre game, but in a good way! It reminds me of the web browsing journey of Hypnospace Outlaw with some small point and click microgames. Contrary to the way the cute rabbits say they are "perfectly ok" as they are violently mutilated I have a feeling they aren't ok and need some help. For $1 it's absolutely worth checking out if you can deal with the flashing lights, troubling themes, and lots of reading!

beneath the apparent nihilism, the sneering sarcasm, the misanthropy and abundant edginess, Everything is Going to be OK is about hope. it's about holding onto hope, and hoping that tomorrow will be a little better than yesterday. that one day our suffering will be rightfully remunerated and the world will love us for who we are. that one day, despite our flaws and weirdness, despite what has been done to us, despite what will be done to us, we'll be able to live a normal life.
i hope that one day, maybe, I'll be human too.
Saw a dear friend of mine play this game in a call once, and I had to immediately go and buy it to try for myself. It's up my alley of weirdness while heavily relating to the themes and questions the game presents to me in its quirky ways. I spent a couple of hours in this game and will come back to it since other than its themes, its aesthetic is something I adore and would like to get more inspiration from for my own art.

Oh boy, this is a weird one.
Objectively speaking it's a collection of minigames for the player to explore, though the gameplay itself is not the point. As you complete minigames you also unlock bonus content, like interactive essays and chaotic puzzles.
The game revolves around the main theme of depression and addresses topics related to it; suicide, societal expectations, anxiety, (unhealthy) relationships and how they can become strained, self-love/self-hate, romantic expectations, keeping up appearances, etc.
As someone who's struggled with depression for many years I can tell you this game hits HARD. It's very confrontational and pulls absolutely no punches. I genuinely can't play more than two minigames in a row without feeling anxious.
I would recommend anyone who's had depression to give this a try, I think you'll find a lot of yourself reflected in it and it might help you to acknowledge some deep-rooted parts of yourself.
I wish I could find the words to review this game better. I think it's just something that has to be experienced.

Played this game on the itch.io version as well. I strongly feel this game came out before it's time. Not for everyone but It touched me deeply and it is unfortunate that the ones that may need to hear the messages of the game the most may be the least likely to ever pick it up.

This game is personal and well done. I know the dev personally so going through this game was emotional, and exciting. It was like I was peering into someone’s diary, a candid look into the soul to a degree. There are a lot of intense topics in this game, so a trigger warning is needed. This game also discusses mental health through the lens of a person who’s been through hell and back. If you want a really unique story and game give this one a go!
I'm scared and confused
This is art, because it provoked strong emotions in me, and the dev is an artist, because they made this thing which I hate.
Complete lack of introspection or reflection. Comes across as the sort of person who uses therapy-speak as a cover to be callous and evil. Multiple times in this interactive experience are cries for help, cries for other people to stop their own lives to help this person, who has admittedly gone through serious trauma. It's a subtle and insidious form of narcissism, to completely miss the fact that literally everyone else in the world is going through similar things as you, if not worse. When you whine about how people telling you to move on, to not overshare, to hold it in, it's because they're doing those things as well. They're angry at YOU for breaking the code, for being so oblivious as to think that you're the only one going through ♥♥♥♥.
The anti-capitalist woe-is-me screed falls flat when the game's riddled with typos and general errors. No industry is ever 100% fair, but art, and games in particular, are the fairest there is currently. You fail in this industry if you make a ♥♥♥♥ game, or make a game that's unoriginal, and the raw truth of it is that this genre of trauma-art-psychological interactive visual novel media is the easiest of all game genres to make. You are plain delusional if you think that you're doing the same level of hard work as some other dev that was successful.
The world does NOT owe you anything, actually. To be all bleeding-heart about how we need more compassion and kindness and honesty and then invoke the concept of "emotional labor" and cry for everyone else to help you is the height of hypocrisy. If you're not willing to help other people, and if you're not already helping them, why do you expect them to help you? Sorry, but you must participate in your own survival.
But I got my money's worth in that it made me do some reflection.

I'm definitely going to be returning to this game just to read the poems and do the funny little interactive games. Unfortunately, I took a buncha screenshots which steam did not register properly- so I just advise that anyone who play this game use a different screen capture program than the one steam offers.
Anyways, my review is in the form of a poem because why not:

This is pretty insane? In a good way.
Essentially an art game, containing weird minigames and commentary on various heavy topics. A fair bit of the content is hidden, so pays to pay attention to small details to click.
Can be funny at times, but also depressing.
This kind of thing isn't "played" for gameplay but for the experience. If you're into that idea and you can handle heavy topics, then this is a must-play, I'd say. It'll be subjective whether you get into it.
It's not exactly subtle, but now that I've thought about it, I suppose art necessarily isn't, or has to be.
Also, this "game" is apparently is in the Museum of Modern Art.

I've wanted to write about this game for a while in an elaborate review but I've never found the time to do it.
This game has a lot number of reviews so I'm just going to do a short one.
This is the best game about trauma I have ever played. If this were the greatest RPG or FPS it would have millions of sales but people aren't interested in playing games about trauma.
Alienmelon is one of the greatest currently living game developers. Unfortunately greatness does not equal widespread fame or sales.
Please don't get me wrong, their works have been shown in the museum of modern art but that doesn't translate into steam reviews.
If you are reading this then you are lucky you discovered a hidden masterpiece on steam.
Even if you aren't in the mood to play it now, please consider at least wishlisting it or looking it up on itch.io.
Your life will be a little bit fuller for having played this.

Leider hat dieses Spiel meiner Meinung nach nicht genügend Trigger-/Contentwarnings. Ich verstehe die Philosophische existenzielle und sozialkritische Message, allerdings erschließt sich mir nicht, warum auf Themen wie suizidale Gedanken etc. so "happy" im Trailer vermarktet wird bzw. eine Warnung vor solchen Themen ausbleibt.
Es ist definitiv kreativ, surreal, psychadelisch und auch irgendwie unheimlich, allerdings muss man sagen, hatten wir uns auf ein schön absurdes, leicht verdauliches Spiel gefreut, jedoch wurden wir in eine Welt geworfen die beinahe darauf abzielt sich mit den schlechten Dingen in uns selbst und der Gesellschaft zu befassen. Obwohl wir uns ja eigentlich genau davon in unseren Streams ablenken wollen. Ich kann dafür keine gute Wertung geben, denn selbst wenn das Spiel hervorragend, originell und künstlerisch wertvoll ist, steht für mich die Person und ihre Bedürfnisse im Vordergrund und für mich wirkt die Message aus mangelnder Beschreibung beinahe erschlichen und aufgezwängt. Wäre ich genug informiert, was mich in dem Spiel erwartet und hätte ich die Chance mich darauf mental vorzubereiten wäre die Fehlleitung nicht so groß gewesen.

I saw this game in an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC and bought it, not knowing what to expect, and boy... I've only played for 20 minutes and my brain already feels like it's melting in the best way possible. The game is crazy, weird, vulnerable, somehow hitting me where it hurts in the way it does when your brain ponders life's mysteries and traumas when you're alone at 3 am. I get why the MoMA had this game in its exhibition now.
beautiful, poignant musings on trauma and the loneliness that comes with it. unconventional but all the better for it. i will be revisiting this game for the rest of my life.
Great game, played the original and happy to support the dev. The game may seem "weird", but thats where all the charm of the game comes from. Its an experience to explore the many pages and writings, and see into the thoughts and mental state of the author. To me, this experience was also relatable, as someone who can relate to some of the themes of mental health. The game also does a great job of using artstyle to push its themes, plus the artstyle is just amazing. Highly recommend to anyone whos on the fence.

"Everything is going to be OK"（ぜんぶ大丈夫！）はミニゲーム、映像、テキストの断片を30個程まとめたZINE形式のゲームです。
残酷でカオスな世界で生きる？かわいいキャラクターと、強烈なビジュアル表現が特徴。あまりにもカオスだけれど、身を焼くような経験がユーモラスかつキュートに表現されている特異なゲーム（というかインタラクティブな表現媒体）になっています。デスクトップを模した世界は、意外にボリュームと仕掛けがたっぷりで、探索しがいがあるのはちょっと楽しい。
ひととおり見るだけなら１～２時間程度、すみずみまで探検しつくすなら５時間くらいかかります。
いわゆるゲーム性みたいなものはほとんどありませんが、こういった形でしか表現できなかったものがあるのだとプレイして感じました。なんとMoMA（ニューヨーク近代美術館）収蔵作品でもあります。
このゲームにしかない個性・魅力がたくさん詰まった作品です。
かわいいキャラクターが気になった人も、変わり種ゲームを探している人も、なにか引っかかるものがあった人も、お気軽にぜひ。

A few years ago a friend of mine was going through a crises and I came over to talk to her because she couldn't be alone. She shared a lot of things that scared me and I just wanted to help and listen. I thought about some of the metaphors and messages in Everything Is Going To Be OK that let me understand what she was going through and relate in a way that gave me the language I needed to connect in a way that helped her through a very difficult time.
The Graphics are good.
The Sound is good.
The Fun-Factor is good.
Where do I start with [i]EIGTBOK[/i]?
I first played the game on Itch several years ago-- it's been long enough now that I truly can't remember how I originally found it. I could've just been looking for new and unique indie games. Boy, did I get my wish.
A little context here, since people read reviews to see if they'll like something or not: [i]EIGTBOK[/i] is a fantastic collection of bizarre and engaging little minigames and hidden secrets on the world's weirdest desktop, but it's also what many would weightily appellate an "Art Game™", so if you get cold feet about an author being frank and open about their life or your adventures through multicolor cyberspace occasionally being interrupted by grim reminders of the real world, go now or forever hold your peace.
There, that's your tl;dr.
Still here? Good. I like you.
[i]Everything is going to be OK[/i] is not just a game about the Internet, or trauma, or the stress of being an artist. It is a stupendous crescendo to the author's previous works in the vein of web art, spanning everywhere from [i]BlueSuburbia[/i] (waiting with baited breath for that remake...) to [i]Tetrageddon[/i], and far predating pale imitators like Hypnospace Outlaw and the endless parade of other Weird Desktop Simulators we've seen in more recent years. It is the work of someone who is truly in love with their medium of choice. Nothing included is there to snag a merch deal with Hot Topic or turn into a popular Twitter meme, it's all painfully genuine, even and especially the silliest bits.
It almost feels a little too intimate at times-- wading through the cheerfully suicidal bunnies and whimsically creaking cyberbones, it feels a bit like peaking into someone's very old and very weathered diary, new sheaves of paper shoved in every few years or so to extend its life, and consequentially expand your view of the feelings and events described within. It's fitting that so much of the more hidden content in the game is literal poetry.
Every playthrough I try to go through the little ritual of wading through the numbered programs in "order" (Numbered 'Pages', then 'missing' pages), but it's inevitable that anyone would get lost on the labyrinth somewhere along the way. This is what I would consider a feature, not a bug. Further down the line, several applications you find seem to be re-purposed or reinvigorated Alienmelon projects from days of yore, frankensteined back to life here for your enjoyment. Contest entries, desktop pets, other programs of obscure origin and even vaguer purpose. It is, and I mean this as high praise, a shockingly dense text for a solo project.
Replaying it for this review, I even found new things I somehow hadn't stumbled across before-- I'm STILL not sure how many sound effects are in the duckmonkey music minigame, for example. I can't imagine how long that must've taken to record and program. And towards the end I discovered an entire essay, hiding away in one small button. (No, I won't tell you where. That's for YOU to figure out!)
Everything Is Going To Be OK has made me cackle like a madman. It has made me contemplate my own life and the choices I've made. It has made me cry like a child. But, most pertinently to the point I am trying to make, again and again it restores my faith in video games as an art and storytelling medium. Maybe everything really [i]is[/i] going to be okay.
...Also, like, it's been in the MoMA. If that sweetens the pot for you at all.
