Our story begins in one corner of Allraan, a tapestry of nations with diverse cultures and values. By dint of sword, and by way of magical objects known as “rune-lenses,” the land’s history has been shaped by the alliances and aggressions of the humans, beastmen, elves, and desert people who live there. The Galdean Empire has edged out other nations and discovered a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic. Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand their power even further. It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends. However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war, and force them both to reexamine everything they believe to be right and true.

Found it an absolutely enjoyable jRPG. A lot of the dialogue is quirky and engaging, sure there's some cringe moments too. There's some really goofy moments as well which I always enjoy. As someone who loves Suikoden 2, I really enjoyed this as well.

Keep in mind if you've played Suikoden 2, you basically know every single big plot point step for step, which is a mark against it, there's really no surprises there, even some of the mini games (cooking) play out pretty much exactly how S2's did.

I'd say biggest blemish are some of the dungeon's, the layouts are just overly confusing just to be I guess, add in the fact that every 5th step, it seems, there's a random encounter, it gets tiresome fast.

Well, as a suikoden fan, I think this game is the true successor of that series. Though, the game design and QoL are almost the same as a PS2-era games.

Antes de mais nada, Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes é um sucessor espiritual de Suikoden II (um jrpg clássico do PS1) esse jogo aqui tbm foi feito através de um financiamento coletivo, no caso o Kickstarter, o jogo arrecadou uma quantidade de dinheiro generosa pro tipo de jogo, com muitos apoiadores, enfim, vamos aos pontos fortes e fracos do jogo

👍 Boa história e desenrolar
👍Gráficos lindissimos, mesclando o moderno com o pixel art, animações de skills tbm perfeitas
👍Sistema de evolução da base é bem legal, deixando vc sempre animado para querer evolui la sempre
👍Muitos personagens (120) nem todos são jogáveis, alguns são de apoio, mas boa parte são jogáveis sim
👍A dublagem japonesa é muito boa, os personagens realmente passam emoção
👍A trilha sonora aqui é pedrada, lembra muito os jrpgs da era do PS1, como Tales of Destiny e Star Ocean

👎Carece muito (QoL) Melhorias de vida
👎Apesar do combate em turnos me agradar, ele é bem lento mesmo
👎Há um combate de exércitos durante passagens na história, deixa a desejar e poderia ser bem melhor
👎Os mini-games até que são legais, mas as conquistas relacionados a tais são de um péssimo level-design

No geral Eiyuden Chronicles: Hundred Heroes entregou um jrpg old-school com um toque moderno, não é um Suikoden, mas foi feito com muito carinho para os fãs e apoiadores do projeto, infelizmente o criador veio a falecer antes do lançamento do jogo, mas ele com certeza estária feliz do resultado do projeto 🙏

Great game, heavily inspired by Suikoden, but it does manage to do things its own way. If you still have a Suikoden itch even after playing the remaster, I highly recommend giving this game a chance.

The story is good, the characters are endearing, the castle to renovate and upgrade is very cool and there's enough choice in decorations to kinda make it "your own".

There are only two negatives points (that are purely opinion based, maybe you'll vibe with that, I didn't).

The unnecessary ressource management was a bit too restrictive, even with the bag fully upgraded it felt like it killed the pace in some late game dungeons where I had to teleport out of the dungeon to put drops in the HQ storage. It's still less of a bother than in Suikoden, you don't need to equip healing items to each character of your party if you want to be able to use them, But I don't think there is any added value to that limitation, since at your HQ you can equip anything that is in your storage. it felt like just an unnecessary added step. Maybe it wouldn't feel as bad if item stacks were higher, at least after each upgrade. the system isn't [i] that bad, [/i] and Nell is very cute, it just feels too limiting when half way through a dungeon you're already full and need to remove items after each fight and before each chest.

Then comes the side content, most of it is very fun and a nice change of pace from time to time. Collecting fishes, playing cards, breeding eggs with legs so the run in races, etc. It's all very fun, but also very "too much". After a while, the card game gets kinda boring once you get the strat that works nearly every time. Breeding eggfoot after eggfoot after eggfoot takes a lot of time, which means for the harder races you loose interest because you still have to breed more B tiers into A tiers into S tiers etc and it's hard to stay interested. The end game "battle rush" mode is fine, but because of the "required" characters, you basically need to grind everyone into high level and there's too many characters to play to not feel overwhelmed when you have 5 low level characters to xp to level 60 to even remotely stand a chance against some of those battles. Lowering the required character per floor to 2 or 3 instead of 5 would've been perfect!

Negatives aside, I still really enjoyed this game and highly recommend it to anyone who likes old school JRPGs and want a similar yet more modern experience, both in aesthetic and QoL

Honestly, reading these negative reviews makes me feel upset. I feel like half of these critical reviews are missing the point. This game is the most faithful interpretation of what playing old JRPG's, especially the Suikoden series, could have been. Sure, there are some new QOL aspects to the game, but 100%ing it takes nearly 100 hours in game. Sure you could rush it, but this is even with these QOL additions. If the game feels too easy for you there are difficulty settings and even then if its not hard enough, well sorry? This game wasn't intended to be a great challenge, it was meant to be new and refreshing while triggering all the nostalgia it could for you. For that purpose, it does exactly what I need / want from it. If you are seeking a true challenge, maybe look for something that markets itself as such.

Honestly, I don't mean to come off so biased in my stance, but a lot of these negative reviews seem focused on the wrong aspects of what this game is and what its meant to be. I greatly appreciate my experience with it so far and will continue to and I really hope you give it a shot. Regardless of whatever the "recent" reviews say, this game to me is a masterpiece.

Задушила.... 50 часов псу под хвост. Если захотите поиграть в нечто подобное, то купите лучше Ни но куни 2. Я такого бреда еще не в одной JRPG не встречал. Игра заставляет тебя постоянно пылесосить все пройденные локации и выискивать новых персонажей, а если ты не будешь этого делать - у тебя начнут гибнуть знаковые персонажи. Причем пылесосить не однократно, а буквально почти после каждого сюжетного действия.

各种熟悉的情怀但就是差点味道的老幻水“仿品”，众筹小组的技术力不如幻水本家那样的大财力支持细节差了，游戏性上又继承老幻水的部分蹩脚机制，好在最核心的卖人设基本功没搞砸一百来号角色个性鲜明存在记忆点相比幻水还有语音，靠厨力运转不是问题
总结:如果玩家有幻想水浒传的基础来品那就是吃培根蛋炒饭，纯路人来品那就是吃猪油炒饭还有点糊了，都能吃饱但口味差很多
PS:简中翻译添油加醋还有翻译误差，不知道找哪家翻译做的次品，用繁体中文体验更好

After clocking in the final achievements (25+ hours of post-game cleanup), I’m ready to share my thoughts. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a decent JRPG, but as a Suikoden veteran, I felt it leaned a bit too heavily on nostalgia. If I didn’t know the dev team's history, I would have mistaken this for a high-effort fan game; it mirrors Suikoden II closely, yet often feels like a "watered-down" version of that masterpiece.

[b]Pros:[/b]

+ Visuals: Gorgeous 2.5D graphics. The art direction and sprite work are genuinely beautiful.
+ Atmosphere: It captures that unmistakable "classic JRPG" soul perfectly.
+ Music: The soundtracks are phenomenal. The battle music and the main themes are beautiful. The dynamic castle BGM that layers in new instruments as you level up your base is a brilliant touch.

[b]Cons:[/b]

- Gimmick Overload: Too much focus on mini-games and chores. For completionists, some achievements may feel like a slog (some are grindy, and others are RNG reliant), and it feels like the main story was shortened to make room for them.
- Lackluster Antagonist: The main villain is "meh"—neither truly threatening nor sympathetic enough to be memorable.
- Character Tropes: Many plots and characters feel like slightly pale imitations of the classic Suikoden archetypes. For example, Suikoden fans will spot the "budget" versions of Nanami, Jowy, Anabelle, Viki, Sierra, Luca Blight and/or the City-States vs Highland conflict immediately. If any other developer had made this, it would feel like rip-offs rather than homages.

[b]Verdict:[/b] It’s not a bad game, but it’s not the masterpiece I hoped for. However, there is enough unexplored lore here to make me hopeful for a sequel. Just as Suikoden II eclipsed the first Suikoden, I want to believe we would get Eiyuden II, and it will be the one to truly shine.

Edit: [i]I've just found out that the bad ending is somewhat more impactful that the good ending. So, I recommend to play without necessarily recruit all the heroes first to enjoy the best experience. Get the best ending on the New Game +.[/i]

Eiyuden Chronicle(s) is a gorgeous nostalgia trip where I recruit an entire population and still use the same six people. Combat is fun, the story is dramatic, and every “twist” politely asks permission before happening. It’s also so easy I barely saw a boss twice, predictable enough to call plot points early, and strangely allergic to hybrid characters—apparently magic users and physical fighters are not allowed to multitask. Charming, comfy, and slightly too safe. Final verdict: 7/10.

感想の前にプレイを考えてる人にアドバイス。

・セーブデータはちゃんと管理しよう
・せめて章ごとにセーブを分けよう

私はこれを失敗して萎えて最後までストーリーを見れてません。

ここから感想。

始める前は期待が大きく熱量が高かった。
休日の多い頃にプレイを初めて一気に……という感じで楽しんでいたのですが、「自分の選択」ではないところでエンディングが変わることがわかってしまい一気に悲しくなって途中でプレイ止めてしまいました。

最後までストーリーを見たかったけど、目指したかったエンディングを見たかったけど、攻略を見ないでプレイしてた結果萎えてしまいました。

よくも悪くも昔ながらのRPGの操作感。
懐かしい気持ちとかなりの量のボイスやスタッフの過去作にも通じるようなストーリー展開でそこは本当によかった。
ちょっと、ジョークパートが空気読めなさすぎで感動が大分薄味気味だったのはそこは微妙。

もう一周すればいいよねって気持ちに昔はなりました。だって、昔はRPGも20時間もあればクリアできるものが多かったから。

ただ、これは時間がかかり過ぎる。

自分は百英雄伝をスルメを噛むように楽しんでいたから長く時間がかかっているのもあると思いますが、またこの時間をかけてこのエンディングが近いところまで来るのはシンドイと思ってしまい止めちゃいました。

そういう意味では今の現役世代の忙しさには向かないのかもしれない。
また、気が向いた時にでもゆっくりプレイします。気が向くことがあれば。

搞一堆解謎機關大迷宮，遠景又看不到看不出機關轉到那，也不能走過去換視角，完全不知道在玩什麼，搞個大世界找夥伴不是好玩多了，純一條龍劇情，角色定位沒啥差異性，前排太軟迷宮晃一晃兩場就躺著，後排手短就無法攻擊，物品倉庫還不大，迷宮晃一晃沒水就回家，村莊還沒倉庫可以存又卡著物品上限，一言難盡的苦難設定

Je ne suis pas un grand fan de JRPG à la base (quelques titres lancés, j'ai rarement accroché) et je n'ai jamais touché à un Suikoden, alors j'aborde le jeu avec une certaine hésitation... et finalement j'aime plutôt bien, c'est pas parfait (loin de là), mais c'est bourré de bonnes idées, le rythme et la difficulté générale pas gigantesque rendent le jeu plutôt fluide.
Le jeu reste assez simpliste (surtout sur le caractère des personnages) mais ça colle avec l'univers et ça passe bien.
Je l'ai préféré largement à un Personna 5 (autre JRPG que j'ai testé récemment pour comparer) et son prologue qui tire en longueur... 6 heures pour que les personnages apprennent avec stupeur (plusieurs fois?!!!) que le premier antagoniste est un monstre et un criminel et autant de tutos et de blabla pour apprendre au final a appuyer sur une touche. Eiyuden Chronicle est plus simple et va droit au but, il est surement moins abouti, mais chez moi c'est ce que je demande, du coup j'aime bien.
Le nombre de personnage recrutable stimule mon coté collectionnite.
Son défaut majeur c'est que beaucoup des éléments déblocables (dont certains importants) sont pas du tout trouvable sans solution ou sans aller parler a tout les pnj en boucle après chaque quêtes même des
zones déjà explorées.

Bref un jeu très correct qui demandera pas un énorme investissement pour être apprécié.

I really, really hate giving games a bad rating. I've given thumbs up to games I've basically hated playing if I could look at the experience from an unbiased perspective and see how someone else could love what I didn't. I've definitely enjoyed many games less than Eiyuden Chronicle, but Eiyuden Chronicle has so many unnecessary problems that I feel they need to be pointed out. This game could have been great, but instead it feels rushed and poorly thought through.

QUALITY OF LIFE
My biggest gripe about this game is that the quality of life aspects are abysmal. I do have to praise the effort put into helping low-experience characters level up quickly, because otherwise getting new characters would feel even more useless than it already often does. There are also lots of ways to farm money, which is nice.

Additionally, there are several things I find really annoying that are probably retro throwbacks, but I think if you want more people to enjoy your game you should at least make them optional. One problem that falls into this category is the inventory limit. While it's definitely manageable, you have to leave at least a third of the inventory slots open if you're going to be opening treasure chests. You can't rely on magic for much in this game, so you typically need a lot of healing items (even if you're over-leveled), and what you'll need is rarely consistent. Again, it's not that it isn't manageable, but that it's annoying because you often have to throw things away to make room for a treasure that you probably won't even want. If the game told you what was in a chest before telling you that you don't have room for it, and need to purge something, that would have made a big difference. Instead, it just tells you that you can't fit it, makes you go into the menu system to get rid of something, and then open it to find out you just purged something you'd rather have than another low-tier rune you already have five of.

There are lots of things like this that just compound into a lot of frustration. Character movement speed would be reasonable if the environments weren't so enormous. A character movement speed setting would be great, but instead you have to take up a character's only accessory slot or replace a useful support character with Aire who only improves movement speed. (If you got an action speed boost in battle, that would make her feel more justified, but instead I feel like I'm sacrificing better strategy just to take Aire so I can move at a more reasonable speed.)

I have about twenty more examples of QoL issues. It's the biggest problem in this game, in my opinion. But, there's limited space here and you probably get the point by now.

STORY
The story is a fairly generic fight-against-the-empire epic, but the problem is that it's not very well told. It feels well-written, from a dialogue standpoint, but I think this is a compliment owed to the English translator. It's hard to articulate the problems in a categorical way, so I'll give some examples.

At one point, you put someone in prison and they escape. This has a major consequence in the story and you can't do anything about it. No one ever notices or mentions the escape happened. You can go to the prison and see for yourself that the prisoner is missing and this prompts nothing from the game. A HUGE moment in the story requires nobody to ever notice the prisoner escaped even though there is basically no way that could happen. This is one of many problems like this. The story often decides things make sense that do not because they have to in order for the plot to function.

There are also tons of deus-ex-machina moments that sometimes feel like they shouldn't even be possible. I can't mention specifics without spoiling things, but the gist is that your party will be in a situation where they have no way out and get saved by someone/something that has been established to not be an option moments earlier.

MECHANICS AND GAMEPLAY
I'd have a lot less to cricitize if this game provided sufficient information about what the player needs to do. The "Card Battle" game (it doesn't have a name) is a really great example of insufficient instructions. The game is actually really fun once you know what you're supposed to do, but Eiyuden doesn't really give you much to go on and assumes a symbol-based help guide will get you the rest of the way. I was able to figure it out, and really enjoyed it, but I shouldn't have had to waste 20 minutes wondering why I kept losing because I wasn't told of the specific mechanics that were required to win.

A lot of gameplay is fetch quests, and these get much more annoying than your average fetch quests largely due to inconsistencies. In some cases, if you require the item prior to the request, you need to acquire it again. Sometimes that item can be in your warehouse, but sometimes it needs to be in your stowpack. When the latter, and you need to fetch resources, you have to get all the resources without going back to your HQ or they'll be added to the HQ resources automatically. Normally, you can have resources in the warehouse and they'll still count, but sometimes they don't, and you don't know when this is going to be the case.

Significant character recruitment (100+) is necessary in order to finish building your castle/HQ, so you will frequently run into these inconsistencies. You will also find that the game has bugs that never got fixed and some characters become unrecruitable if you so much as set foot in a town before having a specific conversation with a character. I would cut the developers some slack for making these mistakes if they fixed them, but many bugs still exist in this game over a year after its release and they are very well-documented. If the bugs were rare and/or difficult to resolve, that's understandable, but it's not when prevents you from experiencing a part of the game that you paid for. The only saving grace here is that there are too many characters in this game, most of them are not useful, and you'll just collect them and forget them. So, not getting some of them due to bugs is only really a problem because it's 1) annoying/confusing, and 2) the game basically requires you to recruit almost everyone.

Battles are also pretty boring. It gets better when your options expand later in the game, but for the most part each party member only has a few options of what they can do and, most of the time, you're not really choosing because what you'll choose depends on accumulated SP. Auto battle, despite looking really detailed and great, doesn't really do what it claims it'll do most of the time (partly due to poor configuration and partly due to bugs). I think games with auto-battle are basically telling you the core gameplay mechanic is tedious and unpleasant, but the battles are fun to watch so it isn't as bad here. It would just be nice if they were actually fun to play and involved even a little strategy. As it stands, you just hit and heal until it ends every single time. It's both easy and tedious.

AESTHETICS
I don't have room to get into this, but the gist is that there are many different asset types and art styles in this game and it sticks out. The 3D is the worst part of it. The pixel art is excellent, but it feels out of place with the other styles that don't have the same thought and care put into them.

Overall, this game seems to know what a great, fun JRPG is supposed to be but then refuses to put in the work to make it one. So, while I wouldn't necessarily recommend against playing Eiyuden Chronicle if this is the sort of game you're looking for, just make sure you're prepared to be regularly annoyed throughout the experience if you decide to play it.

I'm okay with all of that because I played the Suikoden series from Playstation as a kid, but what I don't like about this game is that the cooking battle judges are so random, we can easily win based on luck, but bad luck after you get past 12+ chefs and the Beigoma mini game makes my fingers cramp, because you can't get the strongest Beigoma unless you get to the end game, so you have to clash with your weak Beigoma by trying to spam your keyboard. There are only 3 more heroes left to recruit and I need to win this stupid mini game to get the real ending story lol. **** you made this annoying mini game.

Note Positive:
- Stile grafico 2.5D particolareggiato
- Combattimento a turni ben bilanciato
- Caratterizzazione ottima dei personaggi principali
- Storia, seppur semplice e già rivista in altri titoli simili (vedi Suikoden 5), godibile
- I personaggi non utilizzati che rimangono alla base, dopo aver upgradato quest'ultima con il campo d'addestramento, expano in base all'esperienza che guadagna il tuo team principale mentre giochi permettendo a tutti di rimanere in pari coi livelli

Note Negative:
- Le cutscenes, in particolar modo verso i 3/4 del gioco, tendono a buggarsi spesso (il video gira più veloce del sonoro e tende a ripetersi per rimettersi in pari con la scena, per fortuna si possono skippare nei casi peggiori in cui si resti bloccati tenendo premuto O/Y però è un vero peccato non poterle vedere)
- Il gioco dei "Beigoma" (non farò spoiler) tende ad essere molto frustrante ed imprevedibile cosi come quello delle carte, caratteristica che per qualcuno che come me voglia completare al 100% il titolo non piace affatto

In sintesi questo titolo, per essere un AA, è godibile e trasmette bene quello che erano i vecchi JRPG in salsa Suikoden nonostante sia abbastanza minimalista sia in termini di storia che di gameplay. Sicuramente non si merita tutte le recensioni negative che ha ottenuto, ma come voto non supera di sicuro il 7/10

finally got the chance to play this and tbh i was hoping to get/recruit all characters and get the true ending(cuz i kinda don't want to do a second run cuz my games are piling up as it is) as i'm following guides along the way but unfortunately i read it a bit late regarding a certain character that IS STILL BUGGED/GLITCHED after TWO YEARS this game came out :| i'm playing on pc and there was a patch note i saw that they said it was 'fixed' but i was still affected by it so that's disappointing. I mean i'm enjoying the game because it really reminded me of Suikoden and the story is somewhat engaging. it's just...that bug y'know. -_-

So for anyone who wants to play this game, please be mindful of certain characters that are bugged/glitched during early to mid recruitment. you might want to refer some guides or notes with those characters. I'd still recommend this game despite it and if you love the classic suikoden then this game has a lot of features that are reminiscent(aside from recruiting lots of characters) like the battle/war, cooking, hot spring(bath house in S2 i think), theater, etc.

To be honest, I did enjoy the game, especially most of the content and the storyline. However, I have to give it a bad review because of the many bugs in the game (PC version). I found that many people have complained about bugs, especially on the Switch version, but it wasn’t my concern until it happened to me.

I experienced a loading screen that got stuck in Daphan, the one that leads to B'baba’s place. Because of that, I couldn’t recruit him/her. And because of that as well, I can’t recruit Faye or Leene, since she requires all the other heroes to be recruited before her.

As Suikoden fans, we really enjoy gathering every character and experiencing something new after successfully recruiting them. But for me, I can’t experience that because of this bug/glitch, and it also makes me lose the motivation to continue playing anymore. 😔

El juego es una pasada, los personajes están muy bien hechos y poder llevar a 6 permite hacer combinaciones bastante buenas, aunque hay tantos que siempre te quedas con ganas de llevar a más. La construcción de la base está interesante y hay minijuegos graciosos como el de cocinar o el del teatro, este último no sirve de mucho pero me parece un puntazo por las risas. El gameplay es bastante ameno y el mundo es muy interesante.

RISINGもイマイチだったのでそれほど期待はしていなかったが、期待外れだった。

PVが自画自賛しすぎていてイマイチ。
幻想水滸伝は好きだったが、なんか違う。幻想水滸伝の同人ゲームという感じ。
主人公がパッとしないし、武器がダサい、戦闘ボイスがイマイチ、ドット絵の立ちポーズで脇開けすぎ。
一瞬だけ迷いの森みたいなイベント。
遺跡の扉が開く演出を何度も見せる。
ストーリーはボイスあるのに、移動中の会話イベントにはボイス無し。画面右下に出るから読みにくい。

村でオブジェクトの影が何故か低解像度。
ワールドマップで変なラインが見える。（違方性フィルタリングで品質が変わるラインみたいなもの）
ゲーム開始直後、近くの家に入ったNPCの名前がローマ字。（未翻訳？何かのネタ？この時点で返金しようと思った）

最後までプレイしていれば評価は変わったかもしれないけど、これから面白くなる気がしなかった。

It is truly astonishing to me that this exists, particularly in contrast to everything in gaming periphery.

Eiyuden Chronicle: HH is a game of tremendous depth of narrative, character writing, scale, variety of gameplay, and heart. From start to finish, there's an integral soul and unifying will behind what this team created, and it is glorious to have experienced it.

There are some (sort of) early narrative decisions I wasn't thrilled with, but the hook was in me long before they turned up, and it carried me through with great ease. That is the only real criticism I can recall.

The sheer volume of voicework on display is staggering. Every main character has voice lines for a majority of their dialogue. Read the title again. There are *more* than 100 recruit-able allies, most of whom you can take with you, and appear in story cutscenes. There's dialogue for any/all of them, based on the idea that the player *might* take any one of them along.

Now granted, that's an example of token dialogue, and it may not contribute all that much, but most (if not all) of those characters participate in the minigames, and that's voiced too! I found the Japanese voice work to have a sublime and consistent emotional quality to it across the board. (I can't speak to the English, sorry.)

The developers went to incredible lengths to bring their world to life in so many ways. The sprite work is incredible for every character, the modeling of the world is wrought with fine details, their dungeons are interesting (though I recall a fair amount of backtracking), and the music...

The music is exultant. Monumental. Grandiose in the extreme, and it speaks to my soul.

Thank you, devs. You did Suikoden proud.

For all Suikoden fans out there! Although the story is pretty generic, forgettable (the ending sucked) full of holes (unexplained things). To be honest, the Rising prequel has pretty much nothing to do with this, although it was okay game. This game however is pretty much like Suikoden with great voice acting, great animations and great soundtrack!

If I have to pick either Suikoden or Eiyuden, I'd pick Suikoden and buy this one on sale.

需要玩很久的遊戲
的確是幻二續作的感覺，但是單就全角色有聲優這部分，真的很棒。音樂很好聽。
很多小遊戲也很耐玩，我常常玩交易玩到忘記本業。
移動時的鏡位變動我覺得蠻有特色的。
但料理方面少了調味料就會變另一種料理的系統，覺得有點可惜，菜譜不夠多的感覺。
比起偵探我真的很愛占卜師，至少不用等那麼久。
感覺跟幻二很像是個會偶爾想到就重玩一次，然後一玩就很多天的遊戲。
以上是以一個喜歡幻二的粉絲角度寫的評論。
要浪費的時間也很多，沒有攻略玩不了，照攻略玩還需要一點運氣。
整體故事就是反抗帝國軍的故事，簡單來說魂還是有著幻水系列的精神，而且怪物的畫風差異蠻大的，有一些背景場景看起來很粗糙。但流暢度是有，所以還可以接受。如果沒有情懷的話，新玩家很難撐到全破完美ending。
但我還是期待有續作。

Игруха очень амбициозна в том, что она предлагает игроку, но она не то, что под весом своих же идей сокрушается, она решила просто под этот вес лечь и задохнуться. Притом, что плюсов у игры хватает, они не перевешивают весь этот геймпленый и сюжетный бред, что тебя преследует на каждом шагу.
- Ужасный геймдизайн, который в каждом своем проявлении вызывает либо злость, либо сонливость, потому что ни нормальной боевки хоть с каким-то балансом, ни нормального эксплоринга карты с человеческим левелдизайном не завезли. Буквально весь геймплей в этой игре будто бы сделан с мыслью, чтобы игрок получил лишь ощущение потерянного времени и негатив, а не какое-то удовольствие или вовлеченность в происходящее.
- Сюжет, который пытается быть чем-то большим, но является донельзя простым и тупым, по большей части даже абсурдным. У него были задатки стать хорошим, но, опять же, игра решила сама же задохнуться от своих идей, и из этого вышло то, что ни у одного из 122 персонажей в игре не получилось никакого развития, а сам основной сюжет спустя несколько часов после начала и вовсе перестал как-то укрепляться, даже наоборот, начал становиться всё хуже, в том числе и из-за персонажей-пустышек.
- Пожалуй, кроме музыки, постановки некоторых сцен, озвучки и рисовки ничего положительного больше отмечать и не стоит.
Ну и вишенкой на торте для меня стало то, что игруха просто не дает себя пройти, потому что крашится на критически важном моменте. Видимо, техническая часть тоже была не в приоритете.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising oyununun bitiminden yaklaşık 6 ay-1 yıl civarı sonrasını anlatan ikinci oyundur kendileri.
Oyunun kısa özeti zaten ana sayfasında yazıyor. Oyun hakkında kısaca bahsetmek gerekirse;

+ Grafiklerini çok beğendim. Hatta seri çıkmadan önce beni etkileyen ve heyecanlandıran etkenlerin başında geliyor. Sadece karakterlerin 2D olduğu geri kalan her şeyin 3D görsellikle hazırlanması nedense hoşuma gitti. Genel olarak HD-2D tarzını sevdiğim için direkt gözüme takıldı.

+ Oyun klasik jrpg oyunu. Sıra tabanlı ve az da olsa stratejiye dayalı. Ama bu oyunu diğerlerinden farklı kılan ise ekibinize katabildiğiniz 120 tane karakter olması. Bunların bazıları eşya satan npc bazıları da savaş başlangıcında takıma buff veren npc ler olsa da çoğu oynanabilir. Zaten bu kadar çok karakter içinde sıkılma imkanınız çok az.

+ Karakterlerin kendi yetenek setleri ve takım comboları da zengin. Karakterler hem mana ile hem saldırı puanı denen puanlama ile yetenekleri kullanırken, bunun dışında da birbiriyle sinerjisi bulunan karakterlerin kendi aralarında yaptıkları birleşik takım comboları var ki onlar da dövüşleri çok daha zevkli hale getiriyor.

+ Oyun içi çeşitli mini oyunlar da oldukça fazla var. Örnek vermek gerekirse beyblade benzeri sistem ve ya yemek yarışmaları gibi..

+ Oyun içi seslendirmeler de muhteşem. 120 karakterin her birinin ve hikayede bulunan diğer karakterlerin seslendirme sanatçılarının hepsi farklı.

+ - Hikayesi klasik JRPG hikayelerinden biri. Çok numarası yok. Hikaye sizi sıkmaz da heyecanlandırmaz da.

Me ha parecido un auténtico truño. Al principio me gustó y parecía prometedor, pero conforme avanzas se vuelve muy lento y tremendamente repetitivo. La historia no engancha en absoluto y acaba siendo bastante mala, y los logros son aún peores.

Me dejé un personaje por conseguir (118 de 119) y, cuando quise completarlo todo, ya fue imposible obtener el último. Para rematar, el combate final está bugueado y tuve problemas con el jefe final, lo que terminó de arruinar la experiencia.

Sintiéndolo mucho, le doy un 3/10.

Algun minijuego no tiene sentido en fin, una pena de juego.

Writing this review after recruiting only three new characters before reporting to Ymir (early in the game), so keep that in mind. I plan to revisit this review once I finish or drop the game.

Coming from Rising, with little prior knowledge of this game’s history or inspiration, I’m torn because I enjoyed Rising. The artwork and visuals here are fantastic, the movement, open map, and combat system are all strong points. The story shows a lot of promise.

That said, there’s a glaring issue that leads to this negative review: you can miss recruiting characters if you progress the story without finding them first. While that makes logical sense, it creates anxiety for completionists like me. I’m being urged to report to Ymir, who asked me to find recruits, yet I’ve only explored less than half the visible map. This pressure to move forward, knowing I might lock out content, turns exploration from curiosity into FOMO.

I plan to leave the inn and scour the map again—not out of curiosity or enjoyment, but out of fear of missing content. I can’t help but wonder if this was the developers’ intention. If the rest of the game didn’t feel so good, I’d drop it immediately over this seemingly thoughtless design choice.

For now, it’s a no from me. We’ll see if that changes.

It's been two years since the game came out, but I couldn't progress through the final boss duel due to a bug and ended up playing for 72 hours. The game isn't bad; those who like the genre will enjoy it, but despite two years passing, a serious bug hasn't been fixed. The final part, especially the cutscenes, is full of lag and bugs. A plethora of recruitable people, town development, minigames including a card game that will bring you back to the old PS2 and gb days. It's a solid rpg so do yourself a favor and just go ahead and get it, sale or not. Treat your self, You deserve it.

幻想水滸伝シリーズは未プレイです。

登場人物が多い「だけ」で、それぞれを使い分けるメリットが薄いです。
6人のレギュラーが固定される展開になるのは必然だと思います。
ほとんどのキャラクターは参加時に小イベントがありますが、それ以降はほぼ空気です。
キャラクターを深堀して愛着が湧くような工夫をもっとしてほしかったです。

ストーリーやシステム・各種調整面にも色々と思うことはありますが、キャラの魅力訴求が致命的です。
キャラクターデザインのばらつきや一部キャラの設定が、ゲームの世界観を崩しているとも感じます。
とにかくキャラクターの表面的な設定はあっても、それに思い入れを持つきっかけに欠けています。
魅力のあるキャラクターが沢山いるなかで、どれを選ぶかを悩む楽しみを追及するべきだったと思います。

ゲームの展開も少々退屈に感じ、中盤でリタイアしました。
新しく買う方々にはセール待ちをおすすめします、フルプライスは割に合いません。
￥2,000切って妥当だと思います。

否の意見が多いみたいですが、自分としては十分に幻想水滸伝としての楽しさを感じられる作品でしたね。
少なくとも、２や３に比べると完成度は高い。キャラは２や３の方が魅力がありますけどね。
やり比べると分かると思いますが、作られた時代もあって、キャラ以外は全て上回ってると思います。
セールで3000～4000円くらいで購入したので、値段的に満足のいく作品でした。

良い点として、アプデでそうなったのか分かりませんが
「キャラ固定で自由度がない」みたいな意見と実物は違って、控えキャラとしてメインキャラを設定できるので
自分の使いたいキャラを普通に使えたところ。
難易度ハードでそれなりにやりごたえのある難易度であったこと。
幻水として楽しめた所。

悪い点としては、おすすめ戦闘の優先指示が全然きかない所。これくらいはアプデで簡単に直りそうなもんなのに、なぜそのままなのか？
まあ、回復や補助だけのルーンを付ければ無駄にMP消費することはほぼ無くなるのですが、逆に言えば攻撃魔法を使う事がなくなるのは残念ですね。他の対策としてはマニュアルでやるか、割り切って枯渇を受け入れてボス前でMP回復するかですかね。
他には一部、仲間条件のためのアイテムの入手がかなり面倒くさい所。
多分、難しめにして全員集まらないパターンも味わってほしいとか、Aさんの時はあったのにBさんの時は無かった！みたいな状況にしたかったんだろうなと思いますが、面倒なだけになるのでいらないと思いましたね。

とはいえ、全体のうちの３％ほどで、９７～９８％は楽しめました。

불편함의 극치를 달리는 게임입니다.
스킵이랑 배속도 없고, 강제 미니게임을 다수 행해야 하며, 마지막 엔딩이 너무너무 뭐지? 싶을 정도로 어이가 없습니다.

그리고 주잉공 캐릭터가 정말 매력이 없습니다. 무기는 무슨 어디서 농사 하다가 주워 온 호미인지 낫인지 갈고리인지 같은 걸 쌍으로 쓰고 있고, 막내로 있다가 갑자기 대장이 되질 않나, 이야기 서사가 조금 이상합니다.
차라리 세이를 더 밀어주지....
메리사는 더 쓰레기 서사 입니다. 정말 그냥 찡찡.. 혼자 분하다 하고 끝나요, 웨이브 형이 더 매력적인듯..?

그리고 육성, 이게 정말 룬을 뚫을 수 있게 만들어 주던지 변경을 할 수 있게 만들어 주던지, 캐릭은 120명인데
룬이랑 능력치 때문에 강요 되는 캐릭이 딱 있어서 120개가 무쓸모 입니다.

이 게임 추천 안 합니다.

However, something feels off to me. Having previously enjoyed the relationship between Riou and Nanami in Suikoden 2, I somehow had the same expectations for Noa and Leene. Instead, there isn't much story coverage between them. Leene and Marisa's relationship is even stronger. I mean... how come? I encourage the deepening of this sibling relationship, whether in DLC or something similar. The relationship between the three main characters also feels bland, to be honest, because only Noa and Seign (which reminded me of Riou and Jowy) seem close, but Marisa feels like she's just a complement with her own story. C'mon, aren't you curious about what Marisa's relationship with Noa and Seign will be like in the future? As for the stories of the other characters, unfortunately, they are not fully revealed. Aside the relationship of Noa and Leene, how is Mellore connected to all the characters from Eiyuden Rising? And, it'd actually be interesting if we could explore Galladur's story, instead of having to find out through B'baba. Unfortunately, the Marisa DLC doesn't explain it in more detail. We're not going back to the mechanics and limitations of Suikoden 2 from decades ago; we're talking about today's open world games that have many story slots that deserve to be explored further. Unfortunately, the developers seem satisfied with the main story and nothing more. (Sorry, R&B Studios) I don't know if these characters will be explored more deeply in Eiyuden 2, but how much can we expect?

- Second, the mechanics. I'm a fan of open world games that value accessibility. Unfortunately, there isn't much to explore in the large cities in Eiyuden Chronicles: they feel empty. I enjoyed the dynamic Suikoden 2, where new people or new residents would appear in cities/rooms after major event, bringing different stories. Unfortunately, nothing changes in this game. We cannot freely explore the regions around Yarnaan (which seems to have a prepared path south towards the Proving Grounds) and Ardinale City. The delta area north of Hishahn seems completely wasted, left empty. The same goes for the southwestern part of the map, behind the mountains, south of Athrabalt, which is also left empty. Don't you have the Kenani people? Why not add a Kenani Region? Plus the elven territory. We all curious about the secret room on the third floor inside headquarter, and Carles University, where? Plus the hidden Beigoma laboratory inside Gardhaven Castle? Even after winning all of those tiring battles, the prize is ... still a Beigoma?

- Third, regarding the story. I, who had been swept up in the hype for Suikoden from the start, hoped that the plot would be sufficiently mature. Instead, I only encountered a series of “wow” moments that felt empty. There was no sense of loss, even though there was a story path where Perielle could be sacrificed, but it still felt hollow. Childish writing, in my opinion. It doesn't hold a candle to Suikoden 2, or even the far more tragic Suikoden 1.

Actually, if it weren't for the hype surrounding Suikoden, I wouldn't have expected much from this game. But because Eiyuden has carried the Suikoden name from the start, I was forced to hope and intend to reminisce about the same feelings. But what can I do? I hope the development team can evaluate and improve in the next Eiyuden series.

so... im recommending it BUT be advised, its not for everyone. The game is gorgeous, sprite works, music, art in general, the vibes, so many mini games, game modes and companions. Everything should be a perfect storm of a game. The big problem of the game is the combat, its ASS, like its VERY BAD. Im 30 hours in, ive beaten many bosses and i play on hard and i still do mostly auto combat. Theres near nothing to do, most special attack hits near just as much as the basic attack, magic is ass, mana for caster is nowhere to be found, inventory got a limit and menus are superly ackward where you cant get the infos you want. So if you play for fun, for the story, for the graphics and just a huge JRPG fan, go for it, its a nice game but severely held back by very bad combat.

A really great game to play as a Japanese learner. Story is engaging, there is a lot of voice overs with popular VA (if you watch anime, you'll recognize most of them I'm sure).
Gameplay is fun, even tho the whole game can be cheesed by [spoiler] taking only tanks and stacking a bunch of potions [/spoiler].
Collecting heroes, advancing city, progressing story. There is a lot of gameplay to be had. If you're looking for more chill experience, go for it. It's really worth it.

キャラの多くはルーンが揃えば使えるけどそれも
クリア後のエンドコンテンツで集めるのでバランスは悪いと思います
数キャラ明らかに強すぎるキャラと弱すぎるキャラもいますし

いろんなミニゲームがありますがどのミニゲームも面倒です
不満はあるけど幻水のような仲間キャラを大勢集めるJRPGが好きなら楽しめると思います

クラウドファンディング出資者です。

クラウドファンディングで注目を集めた部分はあるが、それが枷となってゲームのクオリティを下げてしまった印象。
幻水ファン目線としても70/100くらいのRPGだった。
もともとリリースが遅れて発売されていたものだが、あと1～2年は遅らせてもよかったのでもう少し作りこんでほしかった。

シナリオやキャラクターや音楽は非常によくできていたと思う。
何より幻水ファンとしては、待ってましたという部分もあった。
[spoiler] 展開が同じなところはあるが、個人的にはそれでも楽しめた。 [/spoiler]
村山氏がいない今でも続編はほしい。

一方で仲間を集めるためのミニゲームや決闘や戦争は、取ってつけたようなもので残念だった。
この辺りは、クラウドファンディングでのストレッチゴールにもなっていたので、当時テンション上がって付けて開発期間に追われてとりあえずのものを作ってしまったように感じる。
また昔ながらのシステムがいいと思う人もいるかもしれないが、手間に思える部分が多く、今風のものとして出して欲しかった。

あと全体的に戦闘は、面白い部分はあったけど幻水にひと手間加えた程度の要素しかないので、令和らしい面白味のあるものを次回作では期待する。

Definitely has a lot of QoL issues.

Due to how the game works, Automatic Auto should have had a option of "toggle on" instead of having to go back to the menu each time, for example. It gets annoying have to open the menu over and over again whenever you get to a new area due to how treasure chests work.

Characters will often ignore your priority actions that you set as well, especially for less common actions like defending and opening chests.

This is a personal thing, but the pace of the game is very slow. Battles are slow because there is no way to speed up the animations, but so are many minigames such as cooking where RNG cutscenes make up a huge part of the time spent. Movement is also pretty slow without the double speed support, but using that support means not having more valuable supporters.

RNG is another issue where finding a battle chest is completely luck sometimes and certain bosses are also RNG based with no obvious tells.

There is no decent sorting option either. Your choices for sorting are very limited, especially if you don't want to toss old unique items (Items that you can't farm for (uncertain if you can get duplicates in NG+).

Inventory management is a pain until very late in the game as well, about 75% of the way through the game, especially when farming a weaker area for chests you might have missed or for beigomas. This includes your resources because you can't set a cap on each resource that your team auto-gathers (with missions/gathering upgrades). Why this gets annoying is because I found no way to directly sell resources from your bag. You have to deposit the resource first.

Another annoyance is the button mashing portion of the game where you need to mash your sticks/keys to progress and with extra annoyance if you are going for completion because how fast you mash determines which area you end up in and going one section at a time requires very high speed mashing. The cooking contests also require some button mashing as well.

Another issue is balance. No, your favorite characters are probably not balanced. There are two main issues. Almost all the 2 slot characters aren't worth using because they don't outperform having two characters with maybe one exception The other issue is that some later characters are clearly better than earlier characters. There is also the factor of some characters having very odd strength patterns where they start off strong, but have a low cap or they start off weak, then shoot up after a certain point.

An example of balance issues:
If you are doing endless mode and end up getting a certain character whose support ability is to bribe/negotiate with the enemy... do NOT pick him up even if it means you have to sacrifice one of your main fighters. If his skill triggers, you have to restart endless mode; this means if you end up picking him up on floor 25+ and you are unlucky, you basically have to redo everything (The last item appears to be on 26). (It may be worth waiting until after you finish endless mode to pick up that character for this reason.) The instant kill support can also cause problems for a different reason.
Note: You can be forced to pick up one these two characters depending on the RNG if you get a 3 (or less) pick with 1 of them or a 4 pick with 2 of them. If you have to pick between the two, the instant kill one seems safer.

There are also a lot of bugs, such as achievements not unlocking.

Fun Game much like Suikoden, though It could learn some QoL features from the Suikoden remakes, Fast Forwarding battle is something I really miss and could help with the most tedious parts of the game, I've accidentally skipped cut scenes several times, would be nice if the button was switched from 'b' to 'start' or 'select' on controller, otherwise It's A fun game that really feels like a worthy sucessor to the originals, I can only hope that if they make a sequel it has a save-carry-over feature like the original Suikoden/Suikoden 2

Okay, okay, so, this game has many obvious technical issues. Gameplay balance, mechanical issues, built in RNG. Like, there is a very reasonable argument to be made about many issues with this game. I wish this game had gotten another, like, 6 months of QA and tuning. I really do.

That said, if you like well-developed, interesting, and earnest characters? This game is a delight. Do you like political war plotlines where the nuance of what actually goes into a war is covered? Where there's shades of grey going on and the situation is a mess of telephone and different ways to spin a narrative? This game is a delight.

I previously played this game all the way through on PS4, which, I will admit, was [i]rough[/i]. Mechanically the game is not well optimized, and it didn't lag, but every loading screen was [i]loooong[/i]. Navigating menus was long. It's significantly better on PC, but still has some issues. An occasional long pause when starting a dialogue with a shop vendor, maybe a weird graphical bug. Nothing terrible, but it does make playing it a bit more grating than I would prefer.

But I still recommend this game for the characters and the narrative. Some of the English translation is a bit extra, but it does a decent job of getting across the sentiments of the Japanese, and it's quite strong at getting across the main plot and the nuances of the military conflict. You can't help but to like the characters and want to spend time with them. Building up your castle is fun. Some of the later narrative feels rushed and skipped over, but they do a good job with it overall. The key points are impactful. The music is well chosen. The sound effects match the situation and are timed well. The character animations are [i]delightful[/i].

This game could have absolutely used a bit more time to cook, but I'm glad I'm replaying it on PC. There are a number of technical issues, and I could nitpick aspect of the writing or story, but I'm still enjoying it, and I'm enjoying the characters and narrative so much. It's fun, and I feel it does a good job of balancing the serious elements with the lighthearted.

So, tl;dr: It has some obvious technical failings, but has strong characters and some pretty solid maturity in the narrative that are delightful and interesting. It is not a well-polished game, but you can definitely still get a lot of fun with the characters and narrative.
