anyways, e.y.e. divine cybermancy is a pretty cool game so far
it's definitely got some rough patches, archaic design elements, and confusing translations, but go in with the right expectations and an extra spoonful of patience and this game will definitely hit some satisfying notes

Do you consider yourself a gamer? And if so, why? I mean, what exactly makes you a gamer? The times when parents saw video games as toys for kids are long gone. Everybody plays something. So, what exactly makes you [i]a gamer?[/i] My personal answer is... this. I mean, there are good games in this world. Then there are bad games. Because, you know, the balance of the universe and all that sh*t (which is actually the main motif in this game, but we'll return to that later). And then there are [i]weird[/i] games. Weird in the worst way possible. The games that are so f*cked up that I can only compare them with the sexual kinks. E.Y.E.? Is one of such games.
Long story short, what we have here is a group of French Half-Life 2 modders making their own Deus Ex. And why not? Mods can be cool. And E.Y.E. is not just a mod. It's a proper Source Engine product. Our guys took the engine they knew and loved and used it to bring their vision to life. Like Valve before them (the original Half-Life used a modified version of Quake engine). Does that mean we've got ourselves a good game? Like Half-Life? F*CK NO! Why? Because... of what Robin Williams said. Say wha-a-a...
Remember Robin's skit about golf? From Live on Broadway? I know I mention it a bit too often, but that's exactly what we've got here. Streum On Studio were just unable to do things normally. They [i]needed[/i] that “f*cked up stick”. Heck, even their name is a play on words. While the actual game is... *sigh* whatever. Let's take an actual look.
The first thing you'll experience here is a Baldur's Gate-like character creation screen. The one that wants you to combine three kinds of the DNA. And there's gonna be quite a lot of stats. Some (like strength and agility, for example) will be rather self-explanatory. The others (like karma and superhuman reflexes) will not. One way or another, after, like, a million re-rolls, you're gonna make yourself a character. Like in Baldur's Gate, you [i]will[/i] want the best rolls possible here and yes, the DNA thing I mentioned acts as... dice? Doesn't matter. Don't think too much about it. Because right after that, the game will give you, like, a million other things to worry about.
See, the progression here is [i]the[/i] definition of “the f*cked up stick”. You kill enemies to earn money (devs used the same currency with the one that was used in a French sci-fi comedy show called Objectif: Nul, because again, no straight stuff here). Sounds fine. But you don't just purchase stuff with said money, no-o-o! You're [i]research[/i] sh*t with it! That's right. I mentioned Deus Ex, so it's pretty obvious that E.Y.E. is a cyberpunk game. That means we're gonna upgrade some of our augmentations. But first, we must do the corresponding research. And in order to start research, we're gonna need money. But hey! Money isn't everything! Go find the corresponding item too! And yes, those are no more than just random drops. Oh, oh! And research won't just happen! You're supposed to wait! [i]In real time![/i] See what I'm talking about? “F*ck croquet! I put the hole [i]hundreds of yards away![/i]”
Talking 'bout yards, by the way. The levels in E.Y.E. are surprisingly big. But not in a good way. Why? Because they're also... empty. As f*ck. Like, what is it? An open-world game? Then where are all of my optional things? OK, OK, to be fair, the game does have optional objectives. Randomly selected ones, too. But there are, like, 1–3 per level; they're dumb as F and, if anything, they only make things worse. The thing is – this game hates you. With passion. Not only are the levels big, they're also poorly designed and full of dead ends. Like, you can take a pretty long trip somewhere just to learn there was no reason to do that. Whatsoever. Not the worst thing you can think of? Add enemies that constantly spawn around you. All the time. Just because the devs really wanted “to put sh*t in the way”. Ah, and accessing things like the inventory or research menu? It won't pause the game. You checked that there's nobody around, you opened the menu... BANG! You're wounded.
And yes, there are wounds. Deadly ones, too (even though the game won't explain that to you properly, having a high karma actually helps with those). You can literally bleed to death in this game. And, believe it or not, it's not even the worst thing that can happen to you. You can get injured and get a penalty to your stats. And let me tell you, the game will do its very best to make sure it'll happen. The controls are clunky and it's way too easy to fall just because of one single wrong move. And if you fall? You guessed it – instant injury. Ah, and of course, enemies will push you. Have a nice day~
Like I said, this game hates your guts. The majority of gameplay here is just trying to understand where to go while fighting never-ending enemies and trying not to get injured. And everything, [i]everything[/i] here is so... f*ckin'... [i]confusing![/i] See, the devs really wanted to push into the RPG side. For example, the game allows you to kill anyone. Like in, say, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Except while Morrowind warned you that you just soft-locked yourself from achieving your goal, E.Y.E. won't do such a thing. That means you'll be on that big location (if you expect there to be a map, think again; it's all up to you remembering places that look exactly the same), walking in circles, trying to understand what to do... while the only thing you'll really [i]need[/i] to do? Is to restart the whole bloody mission.
Oh, and here's the better part! Oh, f*ck, this is brilliant! You know how many times you're gonna need to finish the game to get the real ending? One? Think again. Two? Like in, you know, Ghosts 'n Goblins? F*CK NO! [i]THREE F*CKING TIMES![/i] That's how many times you're gonna need to do a-a-all the above. [i]ALL OF IT![/i] That means the true ending will cost you 50+ hours of pure suffering!
To be completely honest, though, things are gonna get easier. While improving yourself, you'll get more reviving items, etc., while the second and third playthroughs, while letting you keep your upgrades, will imply that you've already learned the curve. But come on. Three times? SERIOUSLY?! Imagine Deus Ex, instead of letting you make a choice at the end, asking you to play through the whole thing again? Since the very beginning? Starting with that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Liberty Island pier? Just to unlock another ending?! F*ck that!
And it's... quite sad, actually. Because under an obvious Warhammer 40,000 rip-off (our guys are pretty big fans and they didn't even try denying it; heck, their next project was exactly that – a Space Hulk game!), there's actually a quite interesting concept. Remember me mentioning world balance and sh*t? Well, that's what we have here. E.Y.E. is deep and relies on existing religious concepts. Using [spoiler]the main character's wife[/spoiler] was a bad idea, just because of how overused such a trope is, but I totally loved that ball of wibbly-wobbly religious motifs. It's not for everybody and, most likely, it clicked with me just because I'm really interested in the topic, but still, it's a thing. Yet actually playing the E.Y.E.? I felt like I was gonna f*ckin' die. Thought that early Dark Souls games were unfair? Well, E.Y.E.'ll take your Dark Souls and raise you a bloody Friday the 13th. The NES one. With a f*cking purple Jason. E.Y.E. is a game that'll kick you in the bollocks and spit on you when you're down. And the funniest thing? Is that somebody out there will enjoy that. Because there [i]is[/i] a certain kind of joy in all that. In falling from a ladder. And breaking your legs. Just make sure it [i]is[/i] your idea of a f*cking sport. Otherwise, it'll be nothing but pain for you. Dixi.

Loved this game despite it beeing pretty janky, the story plot is interesting albeit a bit cryptic. Gameplay is fun and there are many ways to approach it.

I'd say the game was poorly designed, but the game was not designed at all. This isn't unique or shocking or ambitious, its broken, completely. The only thing that would make this game more unplayable is if it had no exe file.

I payed this years ago and did not enjoy it. There is a lot to unpack, and it just seems to be all over the place. It reminds me of Deus Ex, just a tiny bit.

this recommendation comes with a BIG ASTERISK. you need PATIENCE to understand and figure out this game, to get the most out of it. its very worth it when you stick to it, its a lot of fun when you do, and i recommend it to those with time, patience, understanding, and a tolerance of a little bit of jank.

You have to look beyond the technical problems and what seems to be cut content.
For all its jank and incomprehensibility, it's still a better Warhammer 40K game than the one the same developer went on to make.

EYE is a very surreal cyberpunk dystopian post-apocalyptic nightmare. It's not easy to get into; it feels inaccessible, it has deep lore focused on multiple factions, it has philosophical undertones, and it has a complex narrative about transhumanism, power, control, and corruption and has many existentialist themes. It offers deep character customization (DNA types to apply, classes, stats, cybernetic enchantments, etc.). The open world allows for different approaches to quests, plus it's highly detailed and well realized. The soundtrack is dark and oppressive and works well with the game's atmosphere. Combat mixes ranged, melee, and psychic powers and really encourages experimenting and tactical thinking, plus it's weighty and feels brutal, fast-paced and bloody.
While I enjoyed playing it, it's janky at times, the UI is clunky/not very intuitive, it has a very steep learning curve, and some systems are not well explained, leading to some confusion, and the storytelling is cryptic, ambiguous, and even confusing, very open to interpretation, so if you're looking for a shooter-RPG with a straightforward story, better skip EYE.
That being said, even with the lack of polish found in higher-budget titles, I still think E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy is a steal for its current price and feels like a breath of fresh air in an industry flooded by generic, by-the-numbers shooters. It punches way above its weight class, and you can see all the passion poured into it.

It's true that I killed my Mentor... and yet, I am not his murderer.
E.Y.E. is an organisation of psychic-cybernetic warrior monks battling extradimensional monstrosities that have taken the shapes of humanities’ darkest sins. It is also the militant arm of a secret society attempting a coup d’état against the federal government.
Don’t worry about it too much, because E.Y.E. is on the verge of a civil war! Your Mentor is doing his best to soothe the friction, but Commander Rimanah has a better idea, and besides, you are already one of his secret operatives, you wouldn’t back out now, would you?
You will be hard pressed to find something quite like [i]E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy[/i], it has far too much going on to handle everything well but despite that it manages to have an intriguing, and engaging story, notwithstanding the lacklustre translation.
It is insane to have all these elements that could serve entire plots in and of themselves and instead use most of them as a [i]setting[/i], because you did kill your Mentor, and he will be there to greet you at Temple HQ right after the tutorial.
If you choose to you can play through the entire game and be as confused as you were at the outset. Otherwise, if you pay closer attention, make some inferences, or get lazy and read an analysis, you will find a story that is actually pretty clever. [i]E.Y.E.[/i] is such an interesting case study because it engages with the medium and weaves gameplay, art direction, story and audio to tell its narrative, and not enough games dare to try that.
[h1] Presentation [/h1]
With that said, one endearing thing about [i]E.Y.E.[/i] is that half the designs are so generic you have seen them a thousand times, or they might even border on plagiarism, while the other half are so memorable that you forget the former half.
[i]E.Y.E.[/i]’s monks are without compare, both the Jian Shang Di, and the Culter Dei are so striking with their ornate, golden embellishments, and black armour. They are as feudal warriors from a bygone age but brought forth into a cyberpunk dystopia as if they had always been there.
I find the death masks’ of the Mentor and, [i]especially[/i], Rimanah captivating. It is such a great idea for a helmet, and adding halos is just the icing on the cake. Unfortunately, Rimanah’s skull helmet does not exist in game, it is just there for marketing, but hey, makes for some stellar cover-art.
As for the OST it is mostly there in the background, it sets up this ambience of desolation and abandonment which is perfect for rundown streets, and ruined factories overrun by looters. In other cases, they add intermittent notes, or mellow beats which serves to build up a thrilleresque atmosphere, the droning yawn of Temple HQ stands out in particular, it puts you on edge as if you were in the middle of a conspiracy. And then it turns into a lullaby which is as distressing as that sounds.
And then… all of a sudden you enter a bar and the looters are jamming to metal. I was half-expecting pig squeals, but no it is a completely instrumental track, and it certainly highlights what [i]E.Y.E.[/i] is all about—a lot of things done in parallel all at once.
[h1] Gameplay [/h1]
E.Y.E. consists of cybernetic warriors infused with the DNA of an extradimensional being, and while [i]Divine Cybermancy[/i] can be compared to a [i]Half-Life[/i] mod, it is exactly as insane as the title implies. It has the character creation of a complex RPG, and the gameplay of the Source engine.
If you wish you could play it like a traditional shooter and utilise the vast arsenal as you would in other games. That is certainly fun, especially with the crazy rate of fire of certain weapons, or the sheer firepower of the 444 Bear Killer which is a literal sidearm.
Did I mention that you can dual wield swords? Or that you can put the Bear Killer in one hand and a sword in the other? Food for thought.
With that said, this is [i]Divine Cybermancy[/i], so you ought to use something more interesting, right? How about a wave of psychic energy that doubles as a shove and can turn enemies to mist, not good enough? How about turning an enemy into a portal to the meta-streumonic force?
If you are more on the cybernetics side how about your own personal drone, or why not puppeteer a squad of Federals to fight alongside you.
You have a ton of options and by investing in certain playstyles you are rewarded with titles like “Daemon’s Impious Palm” or “Cyber Demiurge”. It is the cream on top, the sign that you can finally start playing the game…
There are two things in particular that holds [i]E.Y.E.[/i] back, and the first is a staple of the genre—the levelling system. Most RPGs have a habit of hiding all the cool stuff for the late game, and [i]E.Y.E.[/i] is no exception. Sure, the shooting is always fun, but you lack the Brouzouf, the stats, and the research to get the really interesting stuff. This issue can extend all the way into NG+!
Secondly, we have the level design, massive and imposing levels with infinitely spawning enemies. It is shocking that they work as well as they do, but there is a reason why the smaller more focused maps are the most memorable. I had fun on every mission, but before you upgrade your cybernetics you are simply too slow and that is not very fun at all.
So, this latter issue is mitigated on NG+ but then we run into a second issue, the lack of content outside the main campaign, you could replay the story over and over again, which is a cycle I’ve had trouble escaping, but offering a few challenge maps or at least something more to truly test your skills would have been fantastic. I just want to see what my Daemon’s Impious Palm could do on a level he has never seen before, and it is a shame that that is not possible.

has an insane amount of issues, lack of polish, etc. this game is impossible to reccomend, but the good is so good that it's literally still a 10/10. somehow broken in every way but the closest to perfect i've ever seen a game get. i love this game and i love everything about it, even the flaws contribute to that sentiment honestly. idk if i'd love this game if it wasn't so broken....

啓示的なビジョンをもって作られ、真に独創的なアートワーク、広大な世界観、恐ろしく複雑なゲームシステムを備えながら、それらすべてが手の込んだ冗談なのではないかと疑わせるようなところがある。
まず主人公は謎めいた宗教組織、Cultersの熱心な信者だ。その組織はどうやら恒星間規模の人類社会を統治する「連邦」と、別の宗教組織Jianと三つ巴の戦争状態にある。主人公の師匠(単にMentorと呼ばれる)は何やら怪しい素振りを見せており、Cultersの司令官Rimanahは主人公を使ってMentorの動向に探りを入れようとする。
この時点で話はかなり厄介だが、主人公は記憶喪失状態で目覚めるうえに、言動はかなりカルト信者的で、事あるごとに異教徒を抹殺する選択肢が現れる。独自用語が説明もなしに飛び出し、Culterのメンバーは曲者ぞろいで、MentorとRimanahは謎めいた陰謀劇にあなたを巻き込んでくるし、他のメンバーとの会話はいかにも宗教組織めいた仄めかしや寓話に満ちている。何が起きているかを把握するだけでもちょっとした頭の体操になる。

分からないが、確かなことは、このゲームは努力に報いるということだ。
レベルを上げ、金を稼ぎ、便利なインプラントやPSIを購入し、キャラクターのビルドが理解できてきた頃には少し気分が良くなってくる。まあ、それほど悪くないような気がしてくる。私は火星が舞台のとあるミッションで対物ライフルを手に取り、高台からヘリコプターや哀れな連邦兵、そしてマスターデウスエクス（どんな奴かは実際にその目で確かめてほしい）を狙撃しまくって大量の金と経験値を稼ぎ、それを自分の強化に投資した。ファーミングだ。普通のゲームの場合、このような行為は開発者の意図したペース配分と難易度カーブを破壊して楽しみを台無しにしかねない。でもこのゲームはどの道半分壊れているようなゲームであり、難易度カーブなど存在しないに等しいとしたら、何の問題があるだろう？
このゲームは手を取ってあなたを導いてはくれないが、代わりに巨大で手ごわいサンドボックスを用意してくれる。そこにはサイバーパンク体験を実現できるひととおりの遊び道具が用意してある。DeusExのようなイマーシブシムと比べると非戦闘オプションは貧弱だが、そのかわりに無限にリスポーンする敵がいる。それはつまり気が済むまで大暴れできるということを意味する。
ショットガンと中装甲のアーマーを装備してラン＆ガンを楽しむこともできる。重アーマーとガトリングガンを装備して歩く戦車になることもできる。PSI能力で呼び出せるクローンの分隊を引き連れて賑やかな撃ち合いを楽しむこともできる。敵を爆破する剣でミュータントの大群に突進できる。自動タレットを山ほど持ってきて敵の移動経路を封鎖し、それから座って景色を楽しむこともできる。気分転換に弱そうなセミオートライフルを持って出撃し、サイバーアームのインプラントを起動して超人的な射撃精度で敵の頭を次々と吹き飛ばしていくのも楽しい。光学迷彩とサイレンサー付きの銃でニンジャプレイをしたり、敵をハッキングして頭を爆破したり互いに争わせたりすることもできる。面倒になったら光学迷彩で全員をやり過ごすか、あるいはグレネードランチャーですべてを爆破することもできる。
またサイバーパンクというジャンルは昨今ではすっかりクリシェの束と化してしまっているが、その起源にあるニューロマンサーやスキズマトリックスのような物語はもっと理解不能で、読者を突き放し、読んでいて頭を掻きむしりたくなるような代物だった。この半分壊れたゲームには、サイバーパンクが本来持っていたはずの根本的にいかがわしいエネルギーがある。

TLDR: Play it with a friend so you can share the "experience". If you are playing solo, it is a nightmare.
EYE is a weird game an I don't know where I can start. For starter, while there are RPG system in the game, the game never utilises all the build in the game and by the end boils you down to just using guns due to enemy with armor and RPG. Melee? Have fun having your screen shakes 100 times. Hacking? Uh, the enemy is unhackable? Spell? Why do it when you can just click the enemy with your gun which is an instant death? I was playing melee with a friend and the final boss is literally just 10 tanky dude with machinegun in a small arena where they chip away at your health.
The whole game felt like a trip. The map felt like it was designed like grounded, where everything is 3-4 people wide. But as wide as it is, it is still atmospheric. It's just that playing it is a chore because you spent 20 out of your 30 minutes running around wondering what's there only to be dissapointed that there is nothing there. The enemy design was just annoying or uninspired. With human, literal zombies or mutant, or everyone's favorite gunship with explosive weapon or an 2 shot kill turret placed on the most awkward angle.
As for the story, I think I am on the party where it's better to make a fun engaging story than a very cryptic boring one. This one falls to the cryptic boring one, that has some sparks of beauty from some of the dialogue, only to pull a plot twist just because this guys have to. The problem with the "twist" its trying to pull is that NOTHING MATTERS. Even on the true ending (that I looked up), NOTHING MATTERS.
It's a game best played as a study of how to make a great game, as in what are the things and pitfall to avoid when making games in general. While the passion is brimming and oozing from this, it is just not fun. I was able to have fun with a friend, but playing solo is a definite no. Am I glad that I played it? Yes. It is one of those game of all time.

Понадобилось три попытки, чтобы уловить общий флоу игры и по‑настоящему проникнуться её геймплеем и сюжетом. Каждый раз бросал и начинал сначала - и только с третьей попытки всё сложилось.
Игра неудобная, местами просто раздражает. Но пройдя определенный порог E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy преображается: и вот перед нами уже достаточно уникальный представитель какого-то непонятного, сумасбродного жанра.
При всей шероховатости, у меня не сложилось впечатление, что я играю в Garry's mod с кучей аддонов. Игра держится очень цельно, чего не сказать, например, о Peripeteia (с ней часто сравнивают E.Y.E).
+ У игры какое-то безумное и крутое комьюнити, которое частенько генерирует контент.
Советую ли я эту игру? Советую, но знаю, что вы не поиграете. :)
A genuine hidden gem of the immersive sim genre; an obscure and esoteric piece of gamework. Rough around the edges, but absolutely magical.
Решил купить её из за ностальгии, но ностальгия не помогла. Игра просто тупая, где если ты в начале ты получаешь много пиздюлей, то прокаченным также много пиздюлей но чуть меньше. Есть сюжетная миссия где тебе нужно искать порталы, если не прокачался для самой сильной снайперки, то будешь ебаться с вертолетом. Скилы не блещют оригинальностью, прокачка и исследование всего лишь дает статы. Только и делаешь что гриндишь чтобы не страдать.

возможно я чего-то не понял, но мне было абсолютно неприятно играть
уровни запутанные и неясно куда идти, враги постоянно спавнятся, хакинг это вообще отдельная история. как люди играют в эту игру через ветку хакера мне не ясно, я надеялся что если я солью вообще все очки в хакинг то хоть так не буду отсасывать у уличного банкомата.
добивкой стал тёмный уровень в котором грёбаный фонарик ничерта не светит а игре не позволяет изменить уровень яркости.
существуют моды на half life 2 которые бесплатны и в которые мне было приятнее играть чем в это
я допускаю и тот вариант что у меня было что-то сломано, что меня шайтан проклял и что у меня руки из жопы.

Its a niche game for a niche community, but still insanely fun. I havent played it too much but my friend bought it for me and ive been having a blast with it. Definitely gives off that retro feel and for the price its definitely worth it
It's a wildly unique game, even if its gameplay is based on the source engine. Definitely worth messing around in!
The devs bit more than they can chew and it shows, and my God do I love them for it.
There is so much going on this game, as a result it ends up lacking in many aspects, but exceptional in so many others, and it resulting mixture is janky, but still really fun, and with a lot of depth, a testament to how passionate the devs were about this project.
I recommend it, not to everyone, but anyone who's willing to sit down and understand the language the game speaks.

E.Y.E is pure Source engine immersive sim shooter slasher by mad Frenchmen trying not to infringe on Warhammer 40k. It's a rough gem. Quite rough. You will either love this game to death or hate and seethe for days.
- If that excites you in any way, this game is for you.
- If you're looking to experience more esoteric cultural touchstone videogames, E.Y.E is for you.
- If you are coming from the Mandalore video, and you're Source-engine-curious, this is pinnacle source engine gameplay.
- If you're a Zoomer (or younger) coming from a video essay by a soft male in round glasses or a NEET girl with a nasally voice, you will need time and practice to overcome the 2011ness.
🟢 If it clicks for you, it has a unique, indescribable appeal that you cannot experience anywhere else.
🟢 The gameplay is just all out fun. After some levelling up, you have every opportunity to feel like an holy warrior monk and cyber ninja commando. There are so many ways to terminate enemies. It's a shooter, stealth game, real time hacking game, spell casting, etc. If you approach this game with that mindset, it will click instantly.
🟢 Multiplayer just multiplies the chaos and fun. It's no fuss, it's just more holy warrior monk cyber ninja commando warfare.
🟢 You have a huge amount of control over the difficulty for a game from 2011.
🟢 The setting, mood, characters, world, are all excellent. You will see plenty you recognize from other settings, and you comfortably immerse yourself. But it comes together in a unique way that I find it difficult to put into words.
🟢 It is very replayable. You can replay maps with random objectives with friends or solo. You can take that EXP and money into the story missions. Powerlevelers will be right at home.
🟢 🟠 The narrative is mystical, obscure, interesting, and deep. But it is all tucked into text and dialogue. Many characters allude to the real plot, and if you blink you will be lost. Multiple replays are required to soak it up properly. For many people this is not a plus. As for me, I love it.
🟢 🟠 The dialogue is unintentionally very funny, mostly down to dodgy translation. If you like a Last of Us level of dialogue, you won't find that here. In my opinion, that's a compliment.
🟠 The UI can be an eyeful at first. It's not consistent from screen to screen and things are easy to miss. However, once you know it, it's simple and easy.
🟠 Checkpoints are few and far between. If you need to quit the game to, tend to your family for example, progress can lost. That said, you usually keep your exp and money - only some story progress is lost. See note 1.
🟠 I don't know what malice or morale is to this day, but I managed.
🔴 The hacking minigame gets very repetitive very quickly. The only reason to invest in hacking is to get the minigame over with quicker. However, the effects of hacking are good fun.
🔴 The maps are unnecessarily huge. That doesn't mean they're boring. But expect to be looking at the same corridor for quite a while and asking yourself 'is it really worth running all the way over there?'
🔴 If you do not like this game, you will loathe it.

This is primarily down to the source engine architecture. Each level is *actually* a multiplayer server running a map, hosted locally on your machine.
Сперва очень интересно, атмосфера приятная - будто в детстве купил диск с рандомной игрой, в которой всё кажется очень интересным и особенным, ты её изучаешь, но потом эти эмоции затихают и ты понимаешь что смысла играть особо и нет, что от игры ничего не получить и в ней нечего делать, и что ты сюда зашел в последний раз.
Смысл только в ощущении странности игры
Вроде игра 2011 года, а по игре то и не скажешь. Оружия, навыки, прокачивание статов, способности, импланты, механика игры, музыка, освещение. Сделана очень интересна. Даже, некоторые игры, которые выходят сейчас, тихонько покуривают в сторонке. Она и кажется немного душной, но тем она и бывает интересна.
Хочешь быть снайпером - без проблем,
Хочешь рубить всех мечом - без проблем(разве что, проблема будет с вертушками и снайперами, к которым не добраться)
Хочешь штурмовать всех и вся - без проблем.
Даже фатальные раны вносят свою лепту, интересности в игре. После смерти не дали - молодец! Карма сработала на ура. Но будь осторожен, она может быть и отрицательным, если будешь обижать своих, и из-за чего можешь получить сотрясение головы. А ведь после нее можно и статы потерять.
В целом. Игру советую! Спасибо большое за совет игры и проведенный ко-оп в игре Meatyll

Game is better than i remember. The gun handling is peak. I wish Crouch was toggle instead 'hold it down', but I can fix that in the autoexec.cfg

Not sure if I recommend, would say yes if you like FPS cause it gets that part right. For what feels like a total HL2 convertion mod, it has better gunplay than HL2 itself, the guns feel great, but thats it. Once you start getting augments it can be pretty fun. The weird thing is that normally you have a single player and a multi player, well this game feels like they made a multiplayer only but added single player elements to it. You play MP maps with bots, but they added objectives and characters for the story. So what happens is you talk to a specifically placed NPC while beeing attacked by bots, you then run to another objective while killing respawning bots. Its super chaotic since all the clans merge together, in like whatever team vs whatever, and there is alot of them spawning. You even get MP maps names selection menu in the single player, with loading to and from the map. Now the good thing is that this is made like that so you can do coop properly.
Its also pretty jank, in the few hours I got stuck, fell thru the ground to a Zkill, lost the response dialogue, moving like a slug in crouch, the cover lean gets reset once you move...
But I still think its visually interesting and the overall thing is really unique.
This must be one of the worst games I've ever played, and I bought Superman 64. If you came here because of that old review from The Jimquisition, or for the memes, you might get a kick out of it. Regardless, the game is hideous to look at, listen to and play. Avoid at all costs, unless you just wanna see what a brozouf is (it's just a dumb name for currency, now go buy something else).

This is a great example of something that is "interactive media" not just a "video game". A very easy recommend to anyone who loves weird and janky games with a world ripe for analysis. Very much a French take on Warhammer 40k with a skew towards metaphysical elements. Its hard to say much without ruining the surprise of it all that makes this game interesting. But suffice to say you make your own cyber super soldier and unlock interesting augments thru random drops that let you research new upgrades. Then you go thru an eight mission campaign where you can complete missions in a variety of ways not quite as diverse as other im-sim like games but you do some some flexibility and non-linearity involved. I will admit this game can be quite rough at times and has some staunchly bad design elements, but the world that has been crafted is so visually intriguing, and the character build progression is so good, in my opinion it makes up for it. I also think the devs may have intended elements of the game to be intentionally painful and unenjoyable because thats thematically on point. If youre willing to look past the things that suck and maybe grind on some maps and look up some guides/videos to help explain things (specifically mah-dry-bread's basic gameplay tutorial) there is something memorable and fun here, especially if you can play it with friends. Solo the game is MUCH harder than in a group. Not as insanely esoteric and hard to understand as people make it out to be, the tutorial in the game just sucks. Really looking forward to the sequel that theyre working on. Wish they had more resources / talent to cook games.

EYE: Divine Cybermancy is the product of a team that heard the term 'scope creep' when developing their game and decided that having [i]as much scope creep as possible[/i] was a good thing. The product is an FPS with an enormous amount of convoluted, intertwined systems, 98% of which you don't even need to touch while playing through the game unless you want to (and many of which you probably won't even realize exist).
This is a comically over-complicated work of art that isn't even worth trying to understand as much as to simply [i]experience.[/i]

This game rules.
Once you learn how to play and get a few levels/augmentations/spells under your belt, its probably my favorite Immersive Simulator.
The campaign has like 10 ways to do every quest and the maps are huge maze like dystopian cyberpunk jungles to play around in. The difficulty is sometimes unfair but in a very good way. The weaponry is all very powerful giving great feedback with each shot, as most foes go down with just a few shots if not one. The cyberware offers many great benefits at a high price, incentivizing completing quests. The lore is not laid out for the player in long text scrolls but rather hinted at through conversation and environment. The story is complex with many moving parts and even more factions at play. The character design is edgy and fun without any fear of being too "over the top" or campy. The developer had a clear intention in mind and didn't let anyone get in the way, that is to say this game is a complete passion project.
The only thing holding his game back is age (Not the source engine, it works very well for a game like this). Unfortunately getting a server to work is somewhat convoluted but there do exist guides on steam discussion boards from days gone by of how to do so (I used hamachi, set up server, disabled "Lan Only". Once in the game open dev console with ~ and type "sv_lan 0" and "heartbeat", then type "changelevel divinecybermancy", then have friend join via main menu typing in dev console "connect xxxxxxxxxx" with x's being host ipv6. This worked without flaw).
I hope for a second installment soon! Great game!!!

A delicious source-powered game meant for replayability. The player character can be built with different armor sets (light, medium, heavy) with research and upgrades that use credits from killed enemies and completed objectives. Weapons range from melee weapons to snipers and miniguns. The general atmosphere and plot are told through NPC dialogue instead of cutscenes and feature a gothic cyberpunk dystopia with surrealistic elements sprinkled throughout. Inspirations clearly taken from Ghost in the Shell, Akira and Warhammer 40k.
Perfect game for weekends and sundays. There is co-op and pvp, but a dedicated server would be better than your standard listen server for performance and slight networking issues.

I like that game when it was released, just wish that the coop option was still in the main screen without going through the create server and without it auto selecting LAN mode on.
damn, I want to like this game so very very much but it's very janky and it's very hard to recommend. I like Streumon to bits though, they do make some nice games, always a bit janky but this one is really dated.
