As an avid Musou game player, this was pretty neat. It does a good job at carving its own identity and is not just "another" musou game. It also tries to tell its own unique story with visuals that kind of remind me of Tokyo Mirage Sessions. The combat move set, however, is very barebones which unfortunately causes the game to get very monotonous very early. Some of the boss battles also take way too long to get through as they have up to 6 or 7 health bars, making them very tanky for no real reason.

I imagine this was a very small team with a very small budget however, so I can comfortably say that they did a good job!

Not worth it at full price in my opinion but if it's on sale, I'd say to give it a chance!

A nice little Musou/Warriors type of game by a small team out of Taiwan. Love the 2D artwork both within the story and in the gallery, not very tough to complete and doesn't really overstay it's welcome in doing so.

Music is a good time and the various cutscenes are entertaining.

There are some translation hiccups in the text that is a bit noticeable, and I would've appreciated an option to have the mandarin dub in the options menu (based on the primary location setting for this game).
If you were to pick this up I would recommend doing so on sale, full price is a little too much but $20-25 ain't bad

Не суди книгу по обложке. Да, скриншоты и описание походят - но это лишь мимикрия, очень слабое безыскусное подражание снаружи, при этом звенящая пустота внутри, на каждом из фронтов. Лучше б разработчики сделали что-то своё: то, что получилось, даже не стоит нейронных связей, чтобы о нём помнить. В Стиме есть немало аналогичных поделок, подражающих известно чему - уверен, в каждой из них всё примерно так же.

Удивительно, почему в Persona все ингридиенты собираются вместе: хотя все эти истории про школьников, секретные миры рядом и аниме с бесконечными однообразными пошаговыми боями должны бы бесить. Видно, просто пот, кровь и слезы разработчиков - усилия, очень много усилий. И даже у них получается не всегда. Даже спиноффы Persona лучше обходить мимо, на расстоянии 6-футовой палки. Подражателей - и подавно.

[h2]前言：一封寫給酉閃町的台灣開發信[/h2]

我會注意到Dusk Diver《酉閃町》，是在Steam推薦單上偶然看到，遊戲標榜以西門町為舞台的動漫風格動作遊戲，做為從20歲開始就到台北北漂的人，我在大學期間也是有在西門町混過一陣子XD，不得不說，本作對於還原西門町的商家、地景等等，確實感覺的到製作組下足了功夫，但有許多地方還是尚待打磨，當然也不乏有許多令我驚喜的地方。

[h2]戰鬥打擊感優秀，但疲乏感十足[/h2]

本作的風格定義為「動作冒險」，戰鬥系統自然是重點。必須說，《酉閃町》在戰鬥展演上，打擊感真的做得很不錯，尤其是打擊的音效處理，有拳拳到肉的感覺；且透過劇情推進，可以解鎖三位不同的守護神，每一個守護神所擅長的能力不同，也算是能夠根據不同的情況對應不同的打法。（最終完全挑戰完可以解鎖第四位守護神，但我沒有特別實測過）。戰鬥中玩家可以快速召喚守護神輔助、釋放大絕與連攜招式，並且在大絕釋放的運鏡上也是很舒服且順暢，以上這些的遊玩體驗真的不輸一些大廠出的動作遊戲設計。

然而，問題也很快浮現。角色的攻擊模組缺乏變化，守護神切換雖然設計有趣，但整體戰鬥深度不夠。在三位守護神切換之間，主角的攻擊模組是完全一樣的，並沒有對應不同的守護神有著不同的模組（好似打擊感的聲音有點變化，但說實在如果真的有做出區別也並不明顯）。而戰鬥會讓人覺得膩的地方，除了是本身系統比較淺之外，我覺得最大的問題來自於「推圖」的作業感。其實蠻多測評都有提到，本作的怪物種類並不多，到後期只是把不同的小怪數值堆高，這確實帶來一些讓人覺得推圖很作業感的問題。不過我有觀察到兩個比較有趣的觀點。有些測評中會提到：「本作在推小怪時會有打無雙的割草感，而在打Boss時會是另一種感覺，且Boss的招式多樣化。」對於這個說法我有一些我個人的另一個想法。

[h3]先聊聊關於無雙割草：[/h3]

因為我算是真三國無雙的超級老粉，對於無雙割草來說，其實可以發現多半戰鬥系統都很淺（無腦C技等等的），但是真三國無雙會讓人覺得真的實打實在割草的部分，對我來說是來自於跑圖時有著一波一波的敵人四面八方出現，然後割完後會有一種爽感，感覺把所有的兵都清光光。然而在《酉閃町》中，玩家在推圖的時候會被分為好幾個區塊，當我們到了某一個區塊時，遊戲的地圖會被限縮範圍，小怪會生成出來讓玩家割草，但他會分成好幾波不斷出現，這樣的限縮體驗讓我覺得大大降低了割草的爽感，因為當我割完這一波，真的不知道下一波還有沒有我在遊玩的過程其實心裡都一直在想「有完沒完啊！到底還有幾波？」這大大降低了我對於推圖割草的爽度。

[h3]另外來聊聊Boss的招式變化：[/h3]

本作的Boss戰確實有做到與一般推圖比較不一樣的戰鬥體驗，但要說到Boss攻擊的多樣性，我其實覺得真的還好，基本上在Boss戰只要能夠抓準完美閃避的話，其實會看到Boss的攻擊方式還是蠻模組化的，當然戰鬥體驗確實與推圖有所區別，也算是製作組有用心在調整不同的打擊策略。不過聊到Boss戰，就不免要碎念一下這個遊戲對於死亡機制的不友善，本作其實有些圖真的要推很久，因為他沒辦法像無雙一樣一股腦死命往前衝，光是要在不同區塊把怪都清光可能就要花個數十分鐘，如果Boss一個沒打好，這遊戲是沒有中繼存檔機制，玩家只能全部從頭再來，雖然說本作的難度偏低，但我還是有一兩次打到最後結果被帶走，直接浪費了我前面十幾分鐘推圖的時間還是不免讓我有點惱火。

同時要提到遊戲中的等級系統，遊戲中可以拿到龍脈石碎片（通關需要的素材），通常都會附加給角色一些經驗值，然而這些經驗值多半就是堆疊攻擊力、閃避冷卻時長、生命值等等，當然也有增加主角的連段技能的部分，不過玩家拿到的經驗值是與守護者共用，我通關一周目時基本上沒有特別去刷經驗值，因此全部都只有投資在主角上，並沒有投資在守護者上，有趣的是我大概玩到遊戲中期才發現原來角色可以增加數值！因為遊戲前期沒有特別介紹這一塊，所以我有一段時間都是用0數值強行過關，一局都會花上比較長的時間。

[h2]西門町還原，誠意滿滿的地圖但有點灌水的支線與彩蛋[/h2]

西門町的場景還原無疑是本作的亮點之一，從遊戲開頭的六號出口望出，一路到中華路、峨嵋街、漢口街等地方，無一不是細節的體現，以及許多有授權的店家也是有把場景還原到位，舉凡六號出口一出來可以看到的真善美影院，還有萬年大樓、獅子林大樓、美觀園老字號餐廳等等，都讓人有一種遊玩過會想去聖地遊訪的心。

不過遊戲中在西門町上遊走的人群全部都是用色塊無臉男女呈現，這部分感覺比較灌水，其實如果單論一般路上的人，這倒還好，可是連支線任務的角色一樣都是無臉呈現就真的有點太水了，且本作對於提示任務都沒有做，雖然說西門町的地圖並不大，大概繞一兩圈就可以找到支線任務，不過還是會希望在遊戲中可以有一些提示。

美食蒐集的部分，有還原出每一個西門町甚至是台灣的特色小吃或飲食，設計的原意是很好的，不過在店餐上作業感很重，遊戲中可以獲得一些獎勵的方式有一大部分來自於與同一店家點餐五次，但玩家無法批量購買，必須要手動點五次，這就讓人不免有比較強的作業感；但值得一提的是，有一些店家是可以進去餐廳用餐，還有看電影，可以看到主角與其他三位守護神一同用餐的畫面還是蠻不錯的。

[h2]想要幽默卻過於戲謔，讓人無法共感的劇情[/h2]

遊戲的劇情可以看出想走比較幽默的路線，女主角不小心誤入了異世界酉閃町，玩家必須背負起拯救西門町的任務。

這樣的設定世界觀其實算是蠻宏大的，無論是拯救西門町還是對於人類與崑崙人的形塑，我能感受到製作團隊想要塑造一個獨屬於他們的臺灣西門宇宙，但很可惜的在對話與劇情的呈現上是使用很戲謔的方式帶過，無論是角色之間的對話，還是反派的塑造皆是。尤其是最終反派反派涅梅雅的人物形塑以及劇情，遊玩過程可以感受到團隊想要將她塑造成比較亦正亦邪的角色（或者說過於單純？），但遊玩中卻會讓人覺得女主角太聖母心，顯得涅梅雅的角色曲線強行被解讀為單純的可憐然後黑化，因此我沒有辦法藉由劇情與這些角色共感。

而最終的結局讓我想起了在遊玩《刺客教條奧德賽》的時候，那種到了結局心裡大喊「王德發」的狀態完全一模一樣，最終的戰鬥結束後，突然間畫面就切到女主角伸手要拯救涅梅雅，然後留下了個懸念就進入了片尾字幕與主題歌曲。到那個時候我突然覺得，我好像玩了很多東西，但又好像甚麼都沒有玩到。

當片尾Roll完後，回到西門町，看到最終反派突然間改邪歸正常駐於西門町，我真心感受到一種很詭異的感覺，「剛剛他們到底經歷了什麼？」，「所以是拯救成功然後涅梅雅突然醒悟？」，「我是不是有甚麼地方錯過沒看到？」，一堆疑問突然像炸彈一樣轟炸我這個不靈光的小腦袋，我完全不知道涅梅雅改變的心路歷程，以及主角與守護神們到底怎麼看待這一場事變。就非常莫名的結束了。其實我覺得如果是要一個解決方法，運用結尾彩蛋是我想到最簡單的方式，把很多說不明的地方做成懸念，也可以直接把玩家們的疑問轉向第二部再去探尋答案。

[h2]關於崑崙人與守護神的一些我認為有潛力的設定[/h2]

遊戲中，這些守護者都是崑崙人，在劇情設定上是台灣民間信仰的守護者，我個人覺得這是蠻有趣且有潛力的設定，而且就遊戲的劇情，可以看到崑崙人並不是說什麼道法通天的存在，而是一個高科技文明的地方，我其實會蠻想看到玩家帶著守護神殺回或去拯救崑崙大本部，且遊戲中其實主要負責與主角還有守護神的崑崙主帥店長是一直有跟崑崙那邊的人聯繫，但都只有文字說明，我覺得頗可惜的。而且通常我們聽到「崑崙」二字都會想到他是跟「古老」的文明或者法力有關係，然而本作看起來是有想要打破這樣的既定概念，我雖然還沒有玩第二部，而且我印象看簡介第二部也沒有特別提及這些。但我覺得這是一個可以繼續往下發展的點。

雖然前面提到主線與支線劇情都過於戲謔，情感支撐薄若，但若單論主角與這些崑崙人（守護者）之間的互動劇情，其實還算不錯，主線上三位守護神對應著不同的守護，守護者李歐對應西門的守護神石獅子，巴黑對應蝙蝠，黎維妲對應淡水河的金魚，三個守護者其實個性都很鮮明，諸如李歐作為第一位與女主一同戰鬥的守護者，可以看得出來他的性格就是非常粗曠但又很溫柔地照顧女主，巴黑對應蝙蝠，因此很常讓人感覺很像憂鬱小生（是裡面我覺得立繪最帥的角色 <3），同時也很鮮明的表現他喜歡音樂與水果（與蝙蝠對於音頻的敏感有呼應），而黎維妲則是在人類世界為偶像歌手，從人物立繪上看的出來是給大家放福利，並且也是一個比較潑辣的大姊。三位角色各有特色，完全沒有淪為主角工具人的感覺。

[h2]後記碎碎念：我雖不推薦《酉閃町》，但我會繼續支持你[/h2]

總體而言，《酉閃町》這款遊戲，在戰鬥上打擊感還不錯，以及運鏡演出等等的都不輸一些大廠牌的動作遊戲，還原西門町的場景也看得出製作組的用心，但一些過於操作重複的地方諸如轉扭蛋、買美食、擲茭，尤其扭蛋系統，都會讓人覺得這些應該是可以很好體現西門町甚至是台灣文化的地方沒有被好好的發揮出來。淪為了站樁重複作業循環。本作有太多地方還需要打磨與歷練，且遊戲價格其實算偏貴，以遊戲量體與精緻度來說，我會推薦大家如果想購買本作遊玩，真的等打折再買就好。基本上我不推薦，感覺很多都是半成品，但我還是會等到有折扣的時候購入第二部來玩看看，我很想見證看看歷經三年後的打磨，第二部是否有所進步（雖然說看到不少測評已經說第二部有些部分也是很水，但我願意再嘗試看看）。

最後，還是祝福台灣的遊戲產業能夠蓬勃發展，本作雖然有諸多瑕疵，卻也是讓我感受到台灣對於遊戲製作正在努力突破，甚至有一些細節開始有媲美大作的地方，雖然不盡人意，卻也是這個階段裡面大家努力出來的成果，就結果論來說確實不完美，但值得令我給團隊一個大大的Respect。敬這款不完美卻努力的台灣作品，我仍願意說聲：加油，我們在看著你。

Misture Persona com Devil May Cry. Pronto, é basicamente isso. Vou direto aos pontos positivos e negativos:

+ Todos os personagens são interessantes e bem icônicos;
+ As armas diferentes permitem jogabilidade variada;
+ Variedade razoável de monstros;
+ Visual bom;
+ Músicas e efeitos sonoros bons;
+ História boa;
+ Combate OK, com boa animação;
+ Boa quantidade de missões e sidequests;
+ Combate exige habilidade mediana (não é só apertar botões descontroladamente);

- Um pouco repetitivo;
- Brilhante demaaaaaais;
- Achievements terríveis de conseguir que dependem de MTO grind e MTA sorte;

A fun little musou-style game set in Ximending, Taiwan. A typical plot of “high schooler discovers they have super powers and must save the world”, but the fun, fast-paced combat makes the game easy to recommend.

I actually played this on PS4 on release day (I still own the collector’s edition even though I don’t have my PS4!) and had a lot of fun the first time I played. Now replaying it, it’s not quite as amazing as I remember, but I still had a fun time completing it for the second time.

[h2]Story & Characters[/h2]

I mean, it’s a very basic “high schooler ends up in a life-or-death situation and discovers they can beat up bad guys”, “gods messed up and now bad guys are invading the mortal realm and the human hero must beat them” plot. The overarching plot is nothing we haven’t all seen before, but I think that’s okay, as the joy of the game is in the combat rather than the plot.

The characters are quite one-dimensional and they don’t really go through much in the way of character growth. They’re also quite typical stereotypes, but it actually works well, and the interactions between them all are quite fun at times and did make me chuckle on a few occasions.

[h2]Gameplay[/h2]

This is where the game truly shines. [b][i]It’s just really fun.[/i][/b] Everything is bright and colourful to look at, and although the map design isn’t the most interesting (it’s a grid that’s all the same colour in the battle areas, although the shops are quite good in the main overworld), you’re not really focused on it for long.

If you like musou-style beat-em-ups, this one plays super well. You’ve got your basic light/heavy combo attacks, of which you can unlock more by leveling up your skills, as well as special attacks where you use the guardian god to end a combo. You can switch between guardians on the fly, to use the best option for your current situation (life drain, enemy gathering, or hard-hitting). This is the best bit of the game for me, seeing them jump in to whack the enemies, while you start a new combo. You also unlock new moves for each guardian by completing their social events.

There’s also your standard burst mode where you go super saiyan to beat up enemies even faster, which has its own special move for each guardian.

The game is definitely on the easier side, and you can pretty much button mash your way through if you want to, although learning the good combos for each guardian makes combat take less time and improves your rank for the stage. You can easily get a 999 combo, which just feels so satisfying. You can also buy items in between stages, either food buffs or consumable items, so that you can be super-powered and ready to go at any time, although you can complete the game without needing these if you don’t want to use them.

The bottom line is - the game is just such good fun to play, and I’d recommend it based on that alone.

[h2]Steam Deck[/h2]

The game plays wonderfully on the Steam Deck, I have no complaints. I actually think it was probably better to play on the Deck than the PS4 if I’m honest. Never had any crashes or frame rate drops, and the controls all work perfectly as they did on console.

Dusk Diver 酉閃町 is a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience.

It's a Taiwanese themed third person console brawler, and it's not one of the good ones. There's some semblence of production value here, it doesn't come across as an unprofessional/amatuer project, but even professionally made game aren't automatically guaranteed to be good.

The problem here, apart from this being a Nintendo Switch game on PC, is the weak story and even weaker gameplay. The fighting is bland, overdone, tiresome, and doesn't even "feel" satisfying or rewarding. You'll be tired of it after you've killed the third enemy in the tutorial and it doesn't get any better from that point.

One important note is that even though this is an amateur project, it does seem to be sincerely and genuinely made. I couldn't find any flipped assets, plagiarism or any other kind of insincere actions from the developer, but unfortunately genuine intentions alone are not enough to produce a brilliant PC gaming experience.

From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts.

Another defect in the game caused by the console-peasant-centric design is the intolerably bad camera controls. There's no effective mouselook, and control of the viewing angles is deliberately outside of reasonable control from the user.

This defect springs from the limitations of inferior console peasant children's toy gamepads, but on PC we don't have this limitation due to KB+M controls... however, the developer deliberately chose to arrogantly foist this handicap onto PC gamers. Out of spite, or laziness, it's unclear, regardless, once more console peasants and console devs have made gaming worse for everyone.

Because this is designed for handheld/portable gaming appliances, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the low power handheld gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the mobile game developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for low power handhelds forces upon a game. While this might run well on a Steam Deck, we must remember the vast majority of gamers here are gaming on PC.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a modest spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards.

So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?

Dusk Diver 酉閃町 has the preposterous price of $35 USD, for which you could easily get any number of recent, much higher quality AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend.

Charming. The game is full flavor and style and it will be what keeps you coming back. The combat is fine enough and the story does its part, but the characters and city will put a smile on your face to drive you to keep playing. I don't recommend going for all achievements because it is incredibly grindy but I do recommend doing all the side quests for collectibles.

My complaint would be that it is annoying that there is no restart option when trying to S Rank, it can get annoying having to exit a level and if it is a story level having to go all the way back to the rift to access it

[h1] A great musou/hacknslash made by Taiwanese devs! [/h1]

I definitely think this is a game worth trying out if you like this genre of games and are familiar with the DMCs and Bayonettas, although I would compare it more to a musou (dynasty warriors) style game with how you are fighting most of the time big waves of mobs. It's got a lot of the DNA of games like Senran Kagura and also the attention to detail of replicating a believable real world location, mainly the Ximen district of Taipei. I can count on my fingers games that translate real world locations to an anime art style so well, and those mainly include the Yakuza, Persona and Akiba's Trip games.

You noticed I mentioned and referenced a lot of games Duskdivers reminds me of, but I do believe a lot of this dev team's inspiration is very intentional. They are fans of games and have most likely played a lot of these other games and decided to produce a labor of love to this very niche style of games.

I think that the combat is the weakest aspect of this game and I am soon going to startup Duskdivers 2 to find out how they have improved on it there, but I also don't believe the combat is terrible. It just suffers from a lot of the typical bloat musou games struggle from, where the closer you reach the endgame, the more the game just throws at you obnoxiously spoungey enemies that don't really do much but you have to spam the hell out of your stamina depletion skills to get them into a vulnerable state. This is a problem a lot of games have regardless if AAA or indie, so I am not going to slam on the game too much for it, though it definitely gets annoying by the end and although I want to 100% every achievement, I am starting to really burn out and feel the repetitiveness of it all by the 11th hour I am currently on.

[b] My advice [b] is take the game in slowly, enjoy the setting, theme and story, visit some food stalls and gachapon machines, beat it and just look back at it as a cozy experience you had at some point throughout the year between major releases or other main games you are going ham on.

A fun, simple and somewhat easy combo based action game. The setting is very unique and the story is interesting. The story feels like the first season before something very important happens though, the kind where all the team comes together, beat an enemy, then life goes on kind of ending that set up for endless new episodes and threats.

No es un mal juego si te gusta el gnero de los action RPG -juegos de rol en tiempo real- similar a Tokyo Xanadu o Fate Stay. La historia es el esterotipo de personaje normal que adquiere poderes para proteger al mundo sin que este pueda negarse pero con bastante sentido del humor durante la historia.

El juego se compone de 13 capitulos, 25 historias secundarias y alrededor de 12 misiones especiales de evento que puede completarse cada uno de ellos en unos 7 minutos cada uno. Si el juego te parece corto puedes intentar ir a por los gachas que desbloquean la galeria de imagenes y trajes o ir a buscar todas las "columnas de dragon" esparcidas por todo el juego.

Aspectos negativos: La musica no destaca y la mayor parte del tiempo no estaras usando a las invocaciones por ser demasiado inutiles. Esto se debe principalmente a que la invocacion hara daño a los enemigos que apunte la camara, lo que te dejara indefenso en la mayor parte de las ocasiones a los ataques desde atras o laterales.

Para los amantes de los logros, el tiempo medio esta en torno a las 25 horas segun se mire las pocas guias que hay.

Similar game to Akiba Strip but with some bugs (mostly crashes solved by not using costumes/playing in windowed mode)
It was a good experience to me and with a good sale (or bundle) it might be interesting to buy Dusk Diver

プレイして数分程度で、新興企業の1作目かな？と強く感じた作品。
特別大きな欠点はないように感じる出来なのですが、問題は大きな面白さを感じる点がない事。
企画内容と開発資金が合っていないように感じられ、設計面を改善できたとしても、おそらく資金面でどの道大ヒットとはならなかったと思います。

・設定など不明点が多かったり、話の区切り方が唐突である事が多く、ストーリーが面白くない
・アセットの少なさとディティールの簡易さ、看板や汚れなどテクスチャの少なさから街並みが簡素
（看板はあっても視界に入りづらい建物上部に多く、画面内の大部分は無地単色となっている。また、アニメ調寄りで全体的にのっぺりした見た目なので、セルルックな影や輪郭線でメリハリをつけるだけでも全然違ったと思います。）
・西門町は、Googleマップのストリートビューで見た感じだと、日本の秋葉原のような町だと思うのですが、そういった雰囲気が感じられなかった
・BGMが少なく単調
・環境音がない
・敵の種類が少ない
・敵のシールドが堅く、削っても少し間を空けるだけで修復され、シールド破壊後の復活も早い、さらにシールド復活から少しの間はシールドが削れない
・主に敵の強さが上記の堅さと1撃で怯む仕様にあり、難しいというよりも間延びさせるだけのものになっている
・敵を倒しても、換金素材のドロップだけなので、倒すメリットが薄く、ただストーリーを進行させる為のものでしかない
・スキルポイント獲得がミッションの初回クリアと収集物だけ（獲得できるスキルポイントの総数が定められている）
・ミッション(西門町)中に収集物があり、Sランククリア(クリア時間)での収集物獲得もあるので、収集に1回,Sランクに1回と2回以上プレイする必要がある場合が多々ある。上記仕様の影響で、複数回クリアすること自体には一切メリットがないので面白さがない。
・コンボの継続時間が短い
・コンボの上限が999までしかない（システム的に999は狙えば容易に到達するので、最高記録を更新するという楽しみを持てる余裕があった方が良い）
・2段階フィニッシュ技は演出的には良いが、長いので繰り返し見ているとスキップしたくなる
・3体の神のうち、ヴェーダの使い勝手が悪い（ガード無視攻撃と紹介されていたように思うが、効果を実感できる敵が出現個所の少ない1種類のみ。最弱種の雑魚が多い場合は「連携始動技」の連続発動で変身に必要なTPを荒稼ぎできるが、フィニッシュ技以外の火力が低すぎる。）
・TP回復アイテムが存在する影響で、アイテム使用→変身→フィニッシュ技が容易に繰り返せるので、バトル要素の価値がない
・召喚攻撃などの演出でカメラが壁にめり込む
・演出時のカメラワークの都合で、演出後にロックオンしている敵が映るのが遅い場合がある
・酉閃町ではダッシュと回避が同一操作なので、回避して後にダッシュとなり操作感が悪い
・そもそもの移動操作感が悪く、特に水上マップなどのジャンプミスによる落下がストレス要素でしかない
・収集物の取得方法が探索(西門町&酉閃町),飲食店友好度,ミッションクリア報酬とバラけていて統一感がない。各要素ごとの収集物にした方が良かったように思う。
・収集物(探索)の手がかりとなる通信が前半はあるが、後半はストーリーの都合でない。また、前半でも通信がない場合がある。
・西門町の収集物(探索)は、場所を教えてくれるシステムが存在するので、探索ではなくただの作業になる
・くじを引く要素があるが、最後まで効果が分からなかった。また、くじをコンプするのに合計1時間以上掛った。

何故か生理用品が超大量に置いてあるコンビニを拠点に1エリア街で発生する異界の異常を探しやたらと硬い敵をボコりまくる閃乱カグラ風アクション（ポロリはないよ！）的なゲーム。

可もなく不可もない感じなので買って損したとは思わないけど、過度な期待はしない方が良いかと。

Mientras que lanzar puñetazos es divertido, a veces el juego se siente como un maratón de ecolecta esto, golpea aquello\ que podría usar algo más de variedad. Además, algunos diálogos parecen escritos por un robot aficionado a las telenovelas. Un poco más de pulido en guiones y una mejor IA de los enemigos harían maravillas.

優點：
(1) 少有地以台北西門町為背景的遊戲，可以「遊覽」西門町一帶，以後我知道找小吃車要去漢中街了。
(2) 戰鬥系統容易上手，打擊手感流暢爽快
(3) 簡潔明快的劇情，頗有日系熱血動漫的感覺

缺點：
(1) 戰鬥地圖只有酉閃町一張，只有機關和牆壁佈局不同，百變不離其中
(2) 重甲敵人在未破甲的狀態時不會扣血也沒有硬直，當遊戲後期大量重甲敵人出現時，戰鬥變得異常冗長，在Hard難度下更是如此，靠吃藥開啟技能破甲並打出硬直。加上關卡評分只計算時間，要打得爽快的話，嗑藥流是的唯一選擇，遊玩方式比較單一。
(3) 劇情簡單的另一面，是不適合想在這個動作遊戲追求故事深度的玩家

總結：7/10分
適合以消閒心態，欣賞西門町街景和動漫式故事。只要不省藥水，遊戲後期的戰鬥還是頗爽快的，還有一種用錢砸死敵人的快感！XD

(P.S. 復活符是實用度最低的道具，其次是HP藥，快用TP和SP藥水堆滿腰包吧！)

Dusk Diver è un'avventura divertente che unisce abilmente stile, umorismo e azione in un quartiere di Tapei (piccolino si) ma coloratissimo. Il gameplay è dinamico, direi persino ritmico, ricco di combo ed effetti speciali determinati dalla skin corrente che accompagna il personaggio. Il gioco non è difficile né frustrante, tuttavia completarlo richiede un po' di impegno in più e vi divertirà! Alcune missioni principali e secondarie sbloccheranno personalizzazioni (vestiti e tute) applicabili ad uno o a differenti skin a seconda dei propri gusti e preferenze. E' un gioco che consiglio vivamente a chiunque cerchi un'esperienza leggera e divertente.

台湾の女子高生ヤン・ユモが主人公の3Dアクションゲーム
ゲームは現実世界「西門町」での探索→裏世界「酉閃町」での戦闘パート、その繰り返しです

気になった所
・敵の情報が説明不足
　どういう存在なのか、何が目的なのか等を最初の方で明示して欲しい
・ザコ敵（小さい敵）の数が多く、ややストレスを感じる
・落下死しやすい等攻略が難しいステージがある

良い所
・キャラが魅力的＆個性的
・声優さんの演技
・戦闘シーンが楽しい
・街の作り込み（ブラブラしてるだけで楽しかった）

クリアしてないので断言はできませんがボリュームもあって長時間楽しめそうです
気になる方はセールの時にでもぜひ

スキルで三すくみさせるタイプのじゃんけんみたいなアクションRPG
ゲーム自体は面白かったんだけど、だからって4000円払ってまで買う作品かと言うと…
早期アクセスの頃より値段も上がってるみたいなので、現状ではちょっとおすすめしづらいかな

- ゲーム内容のボリューム
本編クリアまで8時間かからないぐらいのボリュームの作品
アクションゲーム得意な人なら、早ければ5時間ぐらいで終わるかもしれないので
他のアクションゲーム作品とかと比べると、ボリュームがとても少なく感じる
一応、大半はエンドコンテンツ要素が割を占めていて
クリア後のサイドクエストや高難易度モードのプレイ、味方との会話イベントの消化など
この辺りを遊ぶと、だいたい＋20時間近くは遊べる計算なのだが…
逆に言えばエンドコンテンツに比重を置きすぎで、本編がおざなりになってるように感じるので
もうちょっと作り込んで欲しかったなと感じてしまう
そもそもRPGのエンドコンテンツって、だいたい本編の後日談とかが多いから
本編の作りこみ有り気で面白いと思うしなぁ…

+ ゲームシステムとバランス
ゲームシステムは良くも悪くも平凡で、よくあるARPGって感じで手堅く問題は感じられなかった
インディーズだと一番気になるのはバランスの部分なのだが…意外に良く出来てる
基本的には近距離火力・範囲巻き込みサポート・遠距離火力と、3人の味方キャラがいて
前述したようにじゃんけんみたいに三すくみで
戦闘中に都度、味方キャラを召喚して使い分けして戦うシステムなのだが
戦闘用途が明確に分かれており、高難易度だと脳死してぶっぱしてるだけでは
めちゃくちゃ時間がかかって半ば詰んだり、クリアランクが低くて報酬がろくに貰えなくなっている
例えば近距離火力は安定して対ボス用にHP削るのには適しているが
判定が弱く敵を巻き込みづらいので範囲殲滅が得意ではなく
バランスは良いものの、意外とクリアタイム短縮を狙う場合には足を引っ張りがち
そうなると火力は低いものの、画面前面の敵をほぼすべて巻き込んで多段攻撃できる二人目のキャラや
近距離戦闘のキャラには火力が若干劣るものの、直線状に並んだ敵はまとめて狙撃できる遠距離キャラなど
地形や敵の量に応じて戦い方を使い分けるように作りこまれている
一応、低ランクでもいいとかとりあえずクリアしたいだけなら
好きなキャラ使ってるだけでもクリアできなくはないのだが…
弱点を突いて戦うと、自分で検証した限りではクリアタイムが5分とか10分ぐらい変わってくるのでだいぶ違う
というか敵の装甲が自動回復するシステムなので、装甲貫通かゴリ押しできる火力がないと
いつまで経っても敵が無限回復し続けて試合が終わらないみたいな敵が一部いる
かといって弱点を突く上でコンボを綺麗に入れないと倒せないかというとそういうわけでもないので
脳死さえしてなければ、アクションゲーム苦手な人でもしっかりクリア出来るバランスなのは凄く良い部分だと思う

- ゲーム全体のステージデザイン
良くも悪くもストアページの説明にある通り
実在する"西門町"を舞台にして作られている事に加えて
西門町のコピーワールドみたいな裏世界の"酉閃町"を行き来する内容なので
どの章を選択しても、毎回同じような見た目のステージで遊ぶ事になっている
稀に駐車場エリアとか、浸水したエリアとか
建物の屋上にワープして戦うって事もあるにはあるけど
基本的にはアドベンチャーパートでも歩き回る西門町の路地を
戦闘パートでもひたすら駆け回る事になる
西門町を舞台にしてること自体は何も問題ないんだけど…
4000円近くもするゲームで、実際に遊んでみたら
西門町の建物の中に入って駆け回るパートもなければ
建物の中で室内戦闘するパートも特に無いってのはね…
大企業のゲームと比べるのもどうかと思うけど
龍が如くとかならちゃんと建物の中に入れたり、狭い建物の一室で戦う事が度々あるから
このゲームでも建物の中で特別に何か起こる訳じゃなくても良いから
屋上行って見下ろしたりとか、何かしら出来たら良かったのにね…
せっかく西門町を舞台に遊べると思ってたのに、言うほど観光した気分にならなかったのがちょっとガッカリ

+ キャラクターデザイン
キャラクターはコテコテのJRPG文化を輸入した中華系の人が作った
今風のよくあるオシャレなキャラクターって感じなので
ペルソナとかジュブナイルものが好きな人には抵抗感ないと思う
（逆に言えばそれに辟易してる人には向いてないけど、そんな人はたぶんこのゲーム見向きもしない）
なんとCVには中国語/日本語の両方が対応しているという
インディーズゲームにしては、しっかり金かけて作ってる豪華作品
しかも日本語音声版の主人公のCVはサトリナ（禁書の御坂美琴とかやってた人）がやってるので
一人称ボクっ娘のサトリナボイスが聞きたい人は
とりあえず何も考えずに買ってもええかもしれませんね（小学生並の感想）

以上から光る部分もあれど
個人的にはギリギリこの値段じゃ、おすすめ出来ないって感じかな
別にクソゲーとか買う価値無しとかって訳じゃないんで
単純に値段の割に合わない作品でも良いって事なら
セール時にでも買う分には満足して遊ぶ事はできると思う

The simple question you should ask yourself before playing: Do you like or have an interest in Taiwan?
If yes, like me, you will really enjoy this game. The Ximending district of Taipei is replicated and some quintessential Taiwanese foods, activities and quirks included, which makes it really fun.
If no, there is little to offer here for you what you can't get from a game from the Persona series.

+ The characters are really fun and quirky and I enjoyed listening to their antics
+ The art and design is really nice, mixing in some orignial elements to Taipei's famous pedestrian area
+ The game is easy to pick up and play and never gets frustrating
- The combat is very repetitive button mashing and the game just spams waves of enemies that take a while to kill
- Even for its release date, the grapics are poor and lack detail - I can forgive this as I view this as an indie game
- The dungeons and enemies lack variety

Overall, because I am familiar with Taiwan, I really enjoyed this and will check out the sequel, which is supposedly more polished.

Хм....игра, странная. Ведь в каждом аспекте которых хочется похвалить, есть свое НО которое хочется поругать.
Ну вот допустим:

Визуал - он хорош. Приятная анимешная стилистика, да и дизайн героев и окружения добротный.
НО - тут есть враги которые по сути одинаковые, просто отличаются цветом. Да и порой случаются переборы с спец.эффектами.

Боевка - она приятная. Эдакий простенький битемап слешер с ворохом интересных дополнений. Например вплетение в комбо сопартийцев, которые немного разнообразят боевку. А так-же тут есть 3 [spoiler]после прохождения 4 [/spoiler] супер абилки, и столько-же ультимейтов. А ещё супер режим, который увеличивает наносимый урон.
НО - для игры продолжительностью, на вскидку в 10-12 часов, этого катастрофически мало! Да и разблокировка доступных приколов в игре - максимально неравномерная. Так к примеру - всех сопартийцев нам дают в первую треть игры, так-же как и большую часть всех приемов. Ну разве что по парочке откроется с прокачкой.

Сам концепт игры - охрененный! Эдакая смесь мусоу и жрпг, в небольшой локации. Ворох саб.квестов которые помогают в прокачке, и рассказывают небольшие истории персонажей. А в бою всё переключается на несложный мусоу\битемап.
НО - большая часть квестов, это всякая повседневная рутина. Сходи с одним персонажем туды, сюды, обратны. Помоги зародышу Гинью форс сделаться снова виликими. И почти все допы - это просто героня по доступной локации, в поисках нужной точки, чтоб дали новую точку.

Ну и один личный недостаток есть, который не подкрепляется каким-то плюсом. [spoiler]Мега мутный и открытый финал, после которого идут титры и завершение активностей...и да, сейчас-то у игры есть продолжение. Но это не повод так жеско обламывать с финалом. [/spoiler]

В общем игруха неплоха. Но очень уж на любителя. А так, со скидочкой добротной - если любите бетемапчики, очень даже неплохой вариант.

They tried much too hard to copy and paste Persona....with a dynasty warrior fight system (doesnt feels too good)...the grafics are plain boring and the chars art style is...not good.

Grafics isnt everything but ye there is not much left what would make the game interesting at all.
Instead, get the gamepass and play persona 3-5(R).

这游戏还蛮不错的，主角是未成年，还有小萝莉和大奶角色，打击感不错，剧情属于可以接受的部分，原画和建模有点差距，封面和原画一点关系都没有。那个大机器人是通关后才能使用的店长支援，ns版则可以用小咯里支援，女主也没爆衣。没有二周目，不想找龙脉石可以直接开ce刷，完全不影响游戏体验

Really awesome time of a game if you're a fan of action games or beat 'em ups. This is virtually nothing like Yakuza nor Persona and I don't know why so many comments would suggest as much. This is very much in the vein of a standard action RPG or Beat 'em Up with more focus directed at combo systems and strings as opposed to just outside resources and tools like Double Dragon for example. The combat system gets very in-depth and can feel rewarding, but once you reach a certain point, you start to optimize a lot and cut down on the excess moves. It does reward mastery for flashy combos but since this game features the stagger system as opposed to allowing pseudo-infinite juggling, you start to note which strings are the safest and yield the most returns rather than the one that converts the coolest and makes use of all your tools.

The campaign is super short and concise and the story is fine for what it is. It really just plays second fiddle to the combat system and the core gameplay loop is very much akin to that of a KR MMORPG (so much so that it reminds me a lot of Closers, Dungeon and Fighter, and Elsword when it comes to the late game grinding for mats, rewards, and whatnot). There are some sidequests but they aren't very long and while the characters aren't very deep or anything, they're all pretty solid for what they are, NPC storylines included.

The worst part of the games mostly appear with respect to the grind to 100% completing it in the forms of the lottery RNG filling out and/or the insane spongey-ness of the enemy health pools so much that you'll find yourself repeating the most effective tactics you know rather than the ones you might've been learning along the way there.

There's a lot of variety when it comes to level design and you can honestly tell the devs had fun exploring some aspects of things. The color-coded barriers is a bit of a miss in terms of mechanics that enhance things but it's honestly whatever as it does actually pose trade-offs early game.

All-in-all a hidden gem. Easy recommend to anyone.

In a city where humans blink 20x slower, you'll alternate between questing in the real world and beating up monsters in the "otherworld", a dark version of the place.
Very similar to Tokio Xanadu, and... I Persona-ly don't know any other.
Cleared the story in 18 hours with some grinding (didn't fully listen to voiceovers), so definitely pretty short.

[h2]Pros[/h2]
• [b]Runs very well on low-specs.[/b] Also good optimisation like NPCs models being heavily simplified.

• [b]Accessible 100% clear.[/b] The story is short enough so most will stay hungry for more fighting.
All "non-marked event locations" can be either revealed or rather easily found.
The worst (or best depending on players) will be to clear hard missions. The game is rather vague about the moveset, so requires some personal theorycrafting.

• Getting best rank on a stage only requires to clear it fast. This is very achievable compared to other games in the genre.
Devil May Cry 3 stage rank is based on time / money / "combos" / damage taken / items used.
Tokyo Xanadu rank is about time / damage taken / % enemies killed / treasures found / elemental kills / broken objects / max combo.

• Combat is a mix of monster swarms and armored enemies, but the game provides good tools to deal with these.
Special gauge easy to refill, encouraging abusing it and keep the brain active (Do I need combo count? Armor break? Crowd control? Long range?)

• Combat becomes interesting on hard mode, although the AoE / combo character might make it a bit too easy.

• Characters have intricate personnalities and mostly talk to say useful stuff. The story respects players' time.
Quests are series of tasks involving specific NPCs, making them actually memorable.

• Story missions require D-stones, obtained from both battling and questing. Forces the player to do various activities rather than rushing the story, I love it.
There are 153, but only ~50 are needed for the last mission. Finding more will still yield skill points.

• The hub city is beautiful, with fully-decorated buildings. Sadly, I'm used to keeping the camera 45° down, and rarely got to enjoy the heights.

[h2]Fails[/h2]
• Keyboard controls are just bearable ; transposed emulation of a triple-joystick gamepad.

• Money is very easy to get. Gacha machines and food sources can be cleared for super cheap.
Buing 5 meals at the same place (~400$) yields a D-stone. Since I didn't know, I instead grinded the stones I missed in previous story stages and hard mode, which made me filthy rich in no time.
I then proceeded to buy the whole stock of everything I passed by, making it very anticlimactic.

• Gacha poetry is the rotten cherry on top :
- 62 poems to collect that [b]stay[/b] in the pool after being obtained.
- Unskippable 13-seconds animation, neither gives the time to read.
- The temple is far from HQ, so better clear it all at once.
- Even sadder to see that people worked on all of these, plus the art, animations and translation. I'll never take the time to read all 62 in the gallery.
- Thankfully, a good reward : [spoiler]That's right, a freakin steam achievement. Nothing else.[/spoiler]
At least, it's spammable. Just put on some music, podcast, asmr or whatever and put the game on mute. Steam notification will tell when you got them all.
Took me ~40 minutes (~= 185 pulls) total, and 18 minutes for the last 6.

• Food is barely better : There are many shops unlocked through character events, mostly completed by the time story is cleared, which is too easy to even require food.
I reached the penultimate story mission, realized I should try food shops, went through the whole city and maxed 'em all at once - 20, some have animations - (including gacha machines - 5 -).
There are 46 different foods with their translated description, pictures and effect, but pretty sure Yumo dmg+ is the only one I'll ever eat.
There're maybe 2 quests requiring to go shopping for X food, but it overall feels like even more wasted potential than poetry.

• Some dragon stones can require unintuitive processes to be reached.
Shootout to the mission 11 where you have to get to a place from a specific path before the first part starts. If you take the wrong path, a "wrong" event happens, locking the stone away. Watch playthroughs for this one.

• The fighting mechanics could've been cleaned up. Some can be tedious to learn/relearn, but this might as well be a pro since it keeps the player improving even after clearing the story.
Check end of review for a quick guide.

• Bosses are quite easy. Their attacks are very telegraphed and there's always the time to dash away.

• Short story. Might be a pro as well, since it ends before the player has the time to get bored, and leaves them hungry for grinding the 100%.

• Lacks endgame "play for fun" content after the 100% (I guess?). I'd sure spend 5-10$ for a DLC including Devil May Cry's Bloody Palace, basically a mode where you face increasingly difficult waves of monsters, and all bosses as well, just to have fun mastering the combat mechanics and styling around.

• No punching bag / training mode. At best, pick a hard stage, reach some big monster and compare damage.

[h3]"Basics" of fighting (very simple)[/h3]
[i]Don't be afraid, the following is a dense summary, the game teaches these gradually[/i]

• Each ally starts with 5 special attacks, depending on the amount of hits previously input in a combo string (0-1-2-3-4). These have no description, so players will need to test them by themselves and remember which one is good on which situation.

• Then come aerial specials, which are in fact one of the 5 basic ones, depending on the character. Leo's air spec. is his special 3, Bahet's is his 4 and Viada's is her 2. Would've been easier to remember if it was, like, spec. 3 for everyone.

• Next up are extra specials. These are new ones that can be cast after spec. 0, but also have an alt input. Thing is, you rarely want to spend meter for spec. 0, so you'll mostly use this alt input.

• Finally, "tag team" specials are basically extra specs, but stronger, no alt input, and chain from different basic specs.
Thing is, this also unlocks an alt input for that basic spec. Leo's is 3, Bahet's is 4 (just like airspec), but Viada's is 5, not 2.
By the time I unlocked "tag team" specs, I was already used to casting these basic specials from combos, and had to relearn that new way for them, which is more efficient.

• Was it all? I almost forgot that a few 1000s of skill points can unlock [heavy] -> [heavy] input, which, followed by a [special] cast spec. 5.

Got that from a Fanatical bundle (8$ for 3 games). If you love that kind of thing, grab it right now.
Even though it respects players' time, original price might be too much for a ~15 hours story.

[h1][b]《酉閃町》轻度试评：初露野心的短篇作品[/b][/h1]

《Dusk Diver 酉閃町》是一部由台湾 JFI Games 旗下 JERA 工作室开发的一款3D日式风格的ARPG。故事始于女主人公阳语墨一次奇妙的遭遇，发现了昆仑人的存在，从现实的西门町（表）误入交错到异界的酉閃町（里），莫名吸取了守护神的力量，突然担上了守护这里，清扫邪恶的重任，故事非常王道但老套，典型的JRPG青春热血套路。

[h1]细致还原的西门町但是引导匮乏[/h1]

游戏以西门町为舞台，通过联名部分知名商家的商标（详见游戏官网，列出来2排）以及对纵横交错的街头巷尾细节的把握，以卡通的形式生动还原了这个著名地标的魅力。海报，店面布局（但是进不去），各处的标语，可以看出的确是有用心在做的。其实个人并没有去过台北，查了一下Wiki和相关资料，西门町素有「台北的涩谷」之称，是一个很繁荣的商圈的。所以你应该可以想象这个区域的面貌。

不过另一方面游戏中的地图实际也不是很大，跑的话很快就能溜达几圈。游戏还是挺省经费的，建模相对粗糙，路人远望的话都是色块，走近才会显现面貌。除了主要角色其他的角色就如同你在游玩P5的时候一样没什么存在感了，偶尔能听见闲言碎语。但是地图感觉比较空洞，可互动的点非常少，主要就是在小吃店。而且缺乏指引。讲真，我很少见一个游戏打完最初的剧情之后进入下一章的关卡因为所需的item（这里指开启新关卡的「龙脉石」）不够需要我反复跑图来收集，就很恼火，游戏提示我需要自行找，找了半天才堪堪凑齐4个。虽然在「龙脉石」出现的地点附近会有语音提示，但我东转西转又看不见（可能是我眼晕），就有点火大，如果地图上能有标注就更好了。

[h1]战斗简单易上手但相对枯燥重复度高[/h1]

游戏的战斗系统注重主角连招的设计，反正无脑手柄按就完了，不过对键鼠适配貌似不太好，推荐用手柄游玩。整体十分简单，可以轻松击败敌人。此外，游戏还引入了守护神系统，可以召唤守护灵出来助阵。这两方面构成了游戏的战斗策略。而在手感方面，游戏还是比较爽快的（类似无双），打击感尚可。通过与伙伴一起通关战斗或者是一起在西门町享用美食佳肴可以增进友谊，从而解锁更多的技能，另一方面享用美食会提供一定的增益Buff，也是十分常见的了。

游戏的关卡设计相对简短，就是一个章节一个关卡这样轻松的搭配，加上文本对话的唠嗑时长，很快就能通关，因为游戏中可以无限翻滚（无敌帧），几乎没有设置任何障碍。可能后期需要嗑药加上一定的策略。

[h1]豪华的中日双语配音，脸有点崩的黑丝女主[/h1]

不得不说，游戏在配音这方面毫不吝啬财力，可以选择台腔中配，也很不错，熟悉又陌生，。也可选择日配，看到一堆老牌CV啊，无论是佐藤利奈（“炮姐”御坂美琴，P5新岛真）还是我表里两开花的“华哥”种崎敦美，都是实力派了。另一方面，女主黑丝大长腿真的馋，而且变身后看起来真的帅，还可爱，不过一细看脸就感觉有点崩。

游戏还是很有野心的，作为这样一个台湾团队的作品还是十分不错的，值得鼓励，经过这么些年，折扣也是比较高的了，性价比良好，推荐打折购买。

This game is immensely fun! I mostly played on PS4 finishing the game several times and almost getting 100% missed a few things on hard and S rank rewards. Similar to Persona games without the time constraints to get to know allies. Combat is fast paced and feels rewarding.

I got Dusk Diver as a throw away game in a Fanatical pack because I wanted a different game that was part of it...and it was 2 for $6.29. I saw it and immediately compared it to the look of the Persona series....saw it was normally a $35 game, and figured why not? The first Persona is my favorite game...but I am not a huge fan of 3 on....but Dusk Diver really holds up to that anime look of Persona 3 - 5.

Then I played it....and wow!

First thing I want to say is the negative: the camera does the one thing I hate these style games doing...it fails to stay behind my character. So in the heat of battle i have to re-align it. That can be annoying, especially when I start getting attacked by something right in front of me I can't really see....but my character can.

Normally these type of games aren't my style. I enjoy 2d brawlers like Double Dragon, but 3d action brawlers like this usually don't hook me. They are harder to control, and go for the flash aspect: you gotta look cool doing it. But for Dusk Diver, I actually enjoy the combat, because it doesn't feel like it depends on that flash look. It is just target, attack, and enjoy the actual gameplay, instead of the eye candy.

Also something weird happened when I started playing this. I have been to Japan 8 times in my life. When I started playing this for the first time, it did something no other game has done: the way the city appeared and felt made me feel like I was back on one of this trips. But the weird thing is this does not even take place in Japan...it is Taiwan. I have been tossing around the idea of visiting Taiwan on my next trip....and thanks to this game its not just an idea....I really want to see Taiwan. So not only did this game bring back past memories and feelings on those trips, but it gave me a desire to see more of the world.

But I am a little confused with how this game was put together and the price point. It is targeting the Dynasty Warriors/God of War/Devil May Cry crowd....but at a $35 price point. Sure, some of those games are even more because of being big name titles....but it might be hard for Dusk Diver to compete at $35, when, even at say $50, the others are well known names. I know a lot of work was put into this game, but that price point might be too high when facing Tecmo or Capcom.

Yet it looks like it is trying to play of the look of Persona to hook those type of fans...but is that a good move? Other than Strikers, is there any similarities in the game play? SM fans will probably be looking for something more turn based of more on the developing side.

A sale for this, if you dig this style game, should be a no brainier though. Dusk Diver is a super fun game. Just go into it knowing you won't be Dragonballing everyone in your combos. It's not a "slam them up, then blast them to the ground, and four hit them through a wall, teleport behind them, knock them 50 feet into the air, fly up and 7 hit them in mid air, then air dash behind them and slam them down again into a crowd of 50 million baddies....yea that is about how I would hand that situation too" type of brawler. Its simpler combos...but still satisfying.

A character action game whose depth is slightly above Dynasty Warriors (affectionately) and slightly below DMC4 Nero in casual hands. The existence of a stat-leveling mechanic can make the pacing uneven, as the enemies will jump a tier in health sponginess if you didnt invest the expected amount of points in attack. The heroine Yumo has fun abilities; your defensive tools of jumping and evasive-dash are quite good, and the big offensive combo-enders have a generous number of invincibility frames. The world (well, the city of Taipei) is colorful during the story segments and the characters are pleasant but, like the combat, approachable but shallow. Conversely, you spend a lot of time in the monochrome heavy Youshanding for combat segments and fight monochrome enemies, which helps for parsing things visually, but eventually gave me fatigue. Shortcuts (in the Dark Souls sense of the word) were appreciated in the level design, but the amount of running within sections was a waste of time, definitely stretching my patience as well. Some encounters were designed with a few too many waves. When I first hit 999 combo in an encounter during the early lategame, it was cool. When I hit 999 combo in an encounter a few levels later, and there was still an entire extra wave of enemies I needed to kill, it was annoying. Resource management through building meter off the popcorn enemies vibes with me, but mileage may vary.

我很想因为这精美的立绘给这游戏找找优点，但奈何这一个小时的体验跟狗屎一样。
这游戏完全可以用一坨，一滩和一泡来形容，精美的立绘外包装下藏着的是屎一样的游戏内容。3D建模犹如大便糊脸，所有角色顶着唐氏一般的眼神看你；打击手感没有一样要不是手柄会震基本感觉没打到人；战斗设计更是一绝，轻攻击衔接重攻击跟屎一样的手感与后摇，决战技还要看那糊一脸的动画，人物被打倒还要等她慢悠悠的站起来不能通过跳跃或冲刺立马起身；地图也难评，没有快捷键直接打开地图还非得esc暂停或者手柄菜单键暂停才能查看；还有这个逼闪退，76分钟游戏时长闪退了4次，重装显卡驱动，重装游戏，检查资源完整性都试过了还是闪退，一般的游戏不管再烂我都至少会玩完一半的内容再评价，这游戏不一样，游戏刚开始莫名其妙的直接开打上来就展示其狗屎一般的打击系统时就想给差评了。
剧情没办法评价因为真的顶不住这闪退去玩下去，如果以后换设备了能顺利游玩我可能会改评，但至少现在这一个小时的游戏体验就纯纯折磨。

遊玩體驗說真的還是相當不錯
結局跑製作名單的時候看到是台日合作
以西門町為背景而且全中文
講述了主角意外從西門町進入酉閃町
並且獲得了強制將守護神的力量暫時借用的能力
全線流程就是先去遇見第二、第三位守護神
並在最後找出為什麼西門町與酉閃町之間的界線會變得模糊
一開始覺得酉閃町這個名字有點尬
但打到後面則覺得這個命名非常合理
當然缺點也是顯而易見
守護神的技能感覺非常不平衡
黎維妲(女守護神)的技能真的是有夠難用
而部分的關卡很顯然就是用怪的數量拖台錢
為了全成就打困難模式的時候真的很無聊
介面操作太老是我一開始就深刻體會的
每次選項都會強制被移到第一排
剩下的就是部分的台詞有待改進
不過看到台灣的遊戲能做成這樣我非常驚豔
有缺點是必然，但不妨礙我推薦這一款遊戲
ps.部分服裝會導致部分任務噴game，建議遊玩時還是用原始服裝

Recommended but only if on sale due to the price, the game is rather short and not worth 35 USD but it's still a rather enjoyable experience as long as you don't mind simple gameplay

[h1][u]Gameplay[/u][/h1]
If I had to describe the combat, it's a bit dynasty warriors-esque with mostly enemies that are fodder with some enemies having super armor that needs to be broken to damage them easier.

The guardian system are basically summons that add finishers to all of your combos and have some unique skills when used without combos or while in the air. While simple you can combine them in some unique ways and rack up some rather impressive combos, but due to the nature of the game, you'd need to want to actually test these combos out rather than doing whatever is easiest as the game never requires you to think out of the box with combos.

This is further worsened due to the lack of skill variety as a whole, as aside from guardian skill upgrades and unlocks through bonding events, Yumo barely gets any new moves, about half of em end up being upgrades to her final combo which is basically a near endless punch rush that is just button mashing, which is a missed opportunity as the lack of any new combos at higher levels makes the game go stale rather quick even with it's rather short runtime of 12 main missions that last an average of 10 mins if you're not the best player.

[h1][u]The Good[/u][/h1]
The game does make up for it with lots of charm though, with cute idle animations, good character interactions and an overall charming experience despite the story being rather simple and having no major plot twists or side plots. If you're interested in the sequel, you can skip this game but I would advise against it since playing this one would help with forming the connection between you and the characters, making the sequel feel more like a reunion with friends since there's a bit of a timeskip and the changes between 1 and 2 character wise is rather nice. You can definitely skip this one tho since there's a good enough recap in the 2nd game plot wise, just not character bonding wise.

Runtime is rather short, the combat gets repetitive by the tail end and level design can be rather iffy.

Honestly the game isn't bad, there's a lot to like here in the characters, theme, music, etc.

But for me the combat gameplay, which was what interested me most. just kinda seemed to fall into being a bit too flat. The base moveset was a bit too simple with very clearly superior combos which are so easy to execute there's no real reason to do any other. The character assists, which are cool in theory, they don't feel all too functionally different so I rarely felt the need to do anything cool with them. Enemies themselves are plentiful but it can become kinda tedious owing to low variety, with recolours showing up within the first hour and a half. All this is why I didn't make it to the end of the game.

All that said though, It's clearly a quality game made by people who cared. It ran well on my system, and I ran into no bugs. If you get it, get it on sale. It's one of those negative reviews where it's mostly personal preference and I can totally see people seeing something here that I didn't or enjoying what's here more.

Played and beat this on the steam deck. I personally wouldn't pay the full price for this, maybe $10 at best. But it was a fun action beat em up type game. It took me 17 hours to beat the game which is super short for the price they are asking. But the story is good, and i love the music in the game. Reminded me of Scarlett Nexus, the music did. But i do plan on purchasing Dusk Diver 2 so i can continue the story but will wait for a sale. If you want a short action rpg then pick this game. I would give this a 6/10.

A small-scale Taiwanese RPG where you punch little cyber teddy bears as a Chinese high school girl. What else do you need
It has both Japanese and Chinese voices for the main storyline. I recommend the Chinese. 穆宣名 (Mu Hsuan Ming) captures 語默 (Yumo) much better, both in the mellow narration accompanied by wind instruments between the chapters, and the high pitched overdramatic scenes in the Tumaz-Mart convenience store. The Japanese voice actress sounds monotone in comparison.
The music is nice. It has some memorable tracks.
The story is good but rather short. It's impressive they could fit so much story in so few dialogue lines.
There are no missable achievements.

A downside is that the levels aren't very interesting. Some, but not all, of the maps are variations of 酉閃町 (Youshanding) with different barriers and platforms. All of the buildings look the same.
However, it's satisfying to beat up the monsters, summoning 維妲 (Le Viada) after every AAAAB or LLLLR combo to boost the combo count for extra SP and TP drops, then transforming (LB+RB or L-Ctrl+E) for double attack bonus. It's a challenge every time to quickly kill enemies for the SP and TP refill in order to stay transformed as long as possible. Because of the summoning system, the combat can get complex as you fight in parallel to your summoned guardian(s) while trying to dodge any enemy attack. Luckily the game never becomes so hard that it's necessary to master these techniques.
Some might say the combat is tedious. I suggest that you upgrade the SP skill to 6 bars early on and spam the 必殺技 (RB or E). This uses 3 SP bars and kills a whole swath of enemies in one go. In this way, finishing a level only takes a couple of minutes and gets you an easy S rank, which you need for the dragon shards. btw, if you are still short on dragon shards, you can just buy food from any of the street vendors or restaurants 5 times, and you'll get a shard from them.

Dusk Diver 酉閃町 is great for what it is. Keeping in mind it's very expensive to create 3D games, I think the game studio did the best they could with the budget they had, and I'm looking forward to playing the sequel.

This game is just awful.
- ugly 3d character design
- no decent graphics settings (can't turn of DoF and Motion blur)
- some settings just don't even work
- the combat is a wanna be senran kagura but slow and clunky
- the animations for walking, running and combat are bad
- the story should just be removed entirely

I tried giving this game a multiple chances because the main character is voiced by the legendary Rina Satou.

I got this game as an extra from a bundle, I can't imagine buying this shovelware for even 1 dollar..

战斗系统真的捞，一点手感没有。打击感差，连招卡顿，小怪又小又多，视角锁定也差，导致玩起来很折磨，搓手柄都能给我搓手酸了。
地图和怪物方面，重复性高，换皮严重，还有些恶心人的跳跳乐。
还有些小bug会卡游戏和成就，还好自动存档点比较合理，不然直接裂开。
其他的画风音乐都不错，成长系统也可以。
总体来说，平平无奇的作品，没游戏玩可以试一下。

If you find this on sale (often on sale on other sites), and are in the mood for a simple straightforward action rpg, then this is decent. There is a lot of ideas that work well, and a lot more decisions that make this pretty lack luster.

First of all, dragon shards are not at all difficult to grab despite what others reviewers have said. You need them to advance and take on story missions and get extra skill points. You can usually easily find 2/3 shards in a stage, and getting an S rank in a stage gives you a 1 time dragon shard. Want more shards? Go to any shop and just buy 5 meals in a row, they will give you a shard. At no point was I ever starved for dragon shards. Still need more? There is a side quest where you find a tao master will show you on the map where it is for a small price.

Now getting shards to go to story stages is not hard, however they do lead to the actual bottleneck for the game: Skill points. Its not until post game that you will actually get enough skills to max everything out. Until then, you want to be smart with the skill point usage, because you will really just be hurting yourself if you dump everything into luck. The most important skills are Moves, Attack, and grabbing 1 extra SP. The rest you can either get Attack on the summons. Luck is a problem here, because its a mystery stat that doesn't tell you what it actually does. Increase item drops? More crits? The game will never tell you. Don't worry about health, you can just buy a bunch of health potions can call it a day because money is plentiful.

Don't worry about money, you will have more than you need. Items are cheap, eating at shops is cheap, using the gacha machine is cheap, there is no gear to get. There is no reason not to just burn cash. There are even items to sell that you find in stages for more money. I couldn't really find a reason to save up. There are shops you can buy food in that give temporary buffs, and there is no limit on how often you can eat at a shop. You can immediately buy another plate of food from the same shop after eating. You can max out a store by eating there 5 times, then you can just get it via takeout instantly in the store that acts as the hub. Nothing is stopping you from buying from any new store immediately after it opens and maxing it out. I actually really like that I never had to worry about money at all.

Other than that, the game is actually pretty good. The map is a few blocks long, so you are never far from anything. Its small and compact. Not to big to make things a slog, not to small to make you question why they even bothered to add it. The only problem is that things like side quests are not marked on the large map in the start menu, but you will see them on the mini map. Weird choice, but I end up bumbling into a side quest very easy.

Side quests in the game are fine. They have a few comedic moments, are easy to do, and have a nice Yakuza like jingle when you start and finish one. Never found one where I had to do anything complex or any puzzles. Nice and quick.

The gameplay itself is fine. There is a light and heavy attack, a jump, and a summon button. Combos are easy, certain amount of lights, and then heavy attack, and then a summon. There is a lack of variety, and your light/heavy combos wont change much from start to end. I also do feel like attacks lack a good solid impact. Everything feels a little to light, baring one or two combos, nothing really solid until you unlock the higher tier summon attacks. Summon attacks are where the spice from combat is. You will be switching around summons on the fly to get certain attacks or advantages against certain types of enemies, the animations are good, and they throw out attacks based on when you summoned them in the combo. You even get extra attacks once you get their bonding up and do some missions for them. Summons are great, but take some time to get use to due to the nature of combat. Targeting is weird enough that sometimes the summons/Yumo will just overshoot the target, and the hard lock on can be finicky and just switch to the wrong target if you try to move the camera. Overall, combat can be too simple, repetitive, and the targeting can be rough, but it is fun. You are taking out swarms of enemies, and it is very much a musou game on a smaller scale. Its fine, just don't expect DMC style combat. Difficulty is really a mix of if you messed up the stats, and don't utilize the right summons for the situation. Burning items made things easy. Also, the game has a ranking system, S being the highest. The only thing that matters is how long it took to clear the stage, nothing else. It really clears the dread about being hit/dodging/finesse with the rank system. Just focus on having fun, the times are generous.

The story is simple, but told in an odd way. There is a bigger problem with the world, and spirits in the background going on, but the main character is just rolling with it and trying to live her life as a student. I have nothing against any of the characters, they are all perfectly fine, but it feels like they could be in a slice of life story instead of some high stakes event that is happening. I never really felt like there was a danger till way later. The game does give them room to breath with side quests and bonding events, but the main story and problems just never really got me buying into it.

Its a short game, you can easily find it on sale, and its not to difficult. If you are looking for a huge spanning open world, lengthy epic drama, customizable gameplay, this isn't it. If you are looking for a low stakes, short game, with easy to get into combat, then this is it. I have had fun with the time I put in.

Dusk Diver really is a fun game and I’ve only noticed two bugs, one is when you enter a friend event but the npc is wearing one of the special outfits, but since they are not wearing their default outfit for the cutscene the game crashes and you get a “Fatal Error” report; this is easily fixed by switching them back to their normal outfit; and the other was when I was fighting a boss and I did *something* which caused my character model to break and enter T-pose mode, which I was unable to get out of for a bit. Still, it’s a fun game and I definitely recommend it! A bit tedious to 100%, but not difficult.

Le jeu propose de nombreuses petites quêtes annexes et un univers fouillé avec des restaurants à découvrir et des rues qui fourmillent de vie. On s'attache à notre avatar et ses acolytes en progressant dans l'aventure. As soon as I played, Dusk Diver gave me vibes of both "Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth" and the "Persona" series. The combat is familiar since I played Dynasty, Samurai, and Orochi Warriors. However, Dusk Diver still feels unique in its own way due to the characters and setting. I already love the game because of them. Yang Yumo definitely respects those around her.

For combat, there are moves to unlock. I didn't really realized that and won the game without unlocking the second move set for the characters. LOL The experience was already good enough for me.

压线水平游戏，给立绘个面子可以到线上。
地图非常小，几乎没有自由交互的内容，作为3D游戏非战斗部分也没有Z轴，所以这应该是一部中篇长度的ACT
但是战斗部分十分拉胯，攻击判定、连招机制和玩法深度都难称优秀。场景据说是还原了，但细节非常拉胯，远景糊成一团，近景锯齿感严重还附带莫名其妙的反光。NPC没脸，复制粘贴，看出的制作组很穷了。
剧情马马虎虎，女子高中生拯救世界系列。建模马马虎虎，我个人可以接受。
立绘是真的好看，配音也很加分。
原价买大冤种，包货随意。
但从我的角度是不推荐大家玩的，就凭这个没法一键的大地图和每次完全是复用，改都不改的战斗场景。

This game has a good potential but it ultimately fails to deliver. I liked the combat system, it's simple and yet engaging, the story isn't half bad too. Other than that, everything else is mediocre or bad. Also the fact you sometimes get fatal errors, if you play the game in fullscreen, doesn't really make the experience any better.

just was kinda boring really. Combat is ok but nothing to ride home about. didnt appreciate that finding collectibles was mandatory as well.

when your walking around in the city they also only use higher quality models instead of silhouettes if they are like 2 cm away from you. The game would legit look much better if just all the models were not colorful silhouettes. im not sure if this was a stylistic choice or a performance optimization one. but theres plenty of detailed enemy models during combat so maybe its a style choice. Ethier way i dont like it.

It's fine...
Dusk Diver was a bundled game from fanatical. Lots of Rogue lites or whatever was in it. So depending on your tastes, this may be a hit or miss.

Dusk Diver is sort of a persona feeling quick shot of a game. Characters to talk to, help you grow and assist you in combat. It's a nice combat romp, but at the normal price you'd be practically insane not to buy other games for the price. It's not bad by any means, but games like Tales of Berseria, Devil May Cry, Ys, and other action RPGs would do a lot better for you long term. I know it says I have 24 Hours in the game, but that was just me going for all achievements because it was pretty easy to grab.

If you can get it really cheap, have at it. But frankly I swore it was going to be more than what it was. Game isn't too balanced, so focusing on hits after enemies guards are broken is the thing to do. Keeping your combo meter up to maintain your devil trigger like state is pretty fun, and if the mechanics were part of a bigger game, there would be a lot more value overall. Because it is somewhat addictive.

You could do a lot better than this. And it's no insult to the game... There's just better.

I'll preface this with a short summary:
It's a fun little action game based around running stages with nice cell shaded graphics, a decent combat system that is a bit shallow but fun. It has great voice acting that really brings the characters to life properly.

[b]The stages[/b]
There is a lot of repeating of the same stages but if you are thorough you will never have to repeat the same stage more than 3 times, once for the clear + collectibles - once for the S rank which is speed related and once for the hard mode. So they don't really overstay their welcome in my opinion.

[b]The combat[/b]
The combat is not bad but not horrible either, it controls well, the combo's are decent and offer some variety in a really basic form (attack > heavy attack > special atk and then a second combo is attack > attack > heavy attack > special attack.... you get the idea). But it flows well and that makes it worth spending a few hours on.

[b]The story + sidequests[/b]
The story is well, it's not horrible, it's not amazing, it's just a basic anime inspired story that doesn't really surprise either way. Rina Sato voices Yumo in japanese so that's a big plus! The voice acting in general is really on point and the story is 100% voice acted. Sidequests have no voice acting and that's fine.

To talk a little bit about the sidequests.... well. They exist. They are basically 90% fetch quests, 8% fighting, 1% weird racing quest? and 1% platforming. Some of the sidequests do have charming little stories that teach you a little bit about the area it plays in. I really liked The Brothers questline, it was fun and lighthearted with a few minor serious undertones as well but don't expect too much out of it either way. The sidequests to have quite a few unlockable costumes, most of em are recolors though but it's nice to see unlockables in a game these days.

[b]In closing[/b]
All in all I would recommend this game if you can get it for cheap, it took me about 13 hours to finish on about 90% completion, I didn't have the motivation to continue running the same quests on hard mode and so on, I did the majority of them but not all. I got the game for about $6 from a bundle with 2 other games and that was well worth it.

A solid Hack&Slash, you can't avoid it's mechanic based on Summons and dodges (wich is good), you simply can't break it, for exemple, I like La Viada, maxed out the very moment I got her but the game then told me "wow dude, nice...but now put her away 'cause you need this one against that enemy, get it in your weeb skull or die" (spoiler: I died).
The fight and gameplay in general is extremely repetitive with infinite hordes of enemy wasting your time, this makes the game overpriced.
I like the charcter design and the city even if small reminds me of Yakuza 0 even if at a first sight the way NPC appear can look lazy or upolished job, later i changed my mind because I find interesting this style.
But then why? Why this game gives me the feel of a Beta version, soemthing unfinished, unpolished, cheap...It's not but, I have this constant feeling even if everything work well. Probably just me.

Review from a 100% playthrough on the steam deck.

To get the game working properly I used Proton-6.1-GE-2.
You can easily get around 3-4 hours at a steady 30 fps and 6 watts TDP.
(There is about 4 stages in the game, particularly the water stages that tanks fps due to all the reflections. But otherwise it never dips outside of those places)

For the game itself it's very fun and fits the deck perfectly.
The levels are very bite sized and at the most just crosses the 10 minute mark.
So the game is easy to pick up and play whenever really.

The story is alright, nothing amazing and there is quite a few times that you can tell the localization suffers because the writer isn't a native English speaker. (A common mistake is the boss of the group aptly called "boss". But everyone refers to her as boss instead of the boss)

The world is nice to look at and the graphics pop out a lot on the deck with a very colorful and stylized artstyle that honestly just looks better when looked at from a distance.

The gameplay is the real star of this game and reminds me of an early PS3/Xbox 360 era type game.
It's a hack and slash that borders on being a musou at times when you get enough enemies to get the combo counter to 999.
The animations in combat are a little bit stiff but it feels nice to punch enemies and some attacks in particular have incredible weight behind them in an immensely satisfying way.
The finishers all look very stylish, although they become a bit repetitive since you have to spam them at the end game to quickly finish missions.

Overall, it is a game that doesn't overstay it's welcome and delivers a great deck experience.
A big recommendation from me if you like playing simpler games on your deck!
