I’ve got some mixed feelings about Dungeon Encounters after spending my first day with it. On one hand, the simplicity is actually kind of nice; I love that it doesn't try to hide the tactical math behind a bunch of fluff.

But honestly, the dungeon art is just so... empty. I totally get that it’s "the style," but it feels like it’s missing a soul. Even just a splash of color or some actual environment would make it look immediately better. Right now, it’s a bit of a struggle to get excited about exploring a void.

The bigger issue for me is the tactical "gap." I’m only a day in, but I’m already waiting for the "hook." I want to find cooler stuff in the dungeon and get into fights that actually make me sweat a little. To be fair, a game really needs to be captivating from day one—if it doesn't grab you right at the start, why even put in the hours? I’m hoping it gets more interesting as I go deeper, because right now it feels like something is missing.

The one silver lining is that since it is a bit boring, it’s actually a decent study companion. It stays in the background and doesn't hijack my brain while I’m trying to work. I recommend it, but only for such cases like mine.

Très bon jeu, mais attention, il est vraiment difficile à cause de la mécanique de "semi-perma-death" qui est punitive et oblige à utiliser un seul personnage pour ramener les autres à la maison afin de les soigner.

Si vous faites toute l'exploration puis tous les combats, le jeu est bien plus agréable (et plus facile).

Si vous faites les combats en explorant, le challenge est extrêmement élevé et cela pourrait vous décourager. Dans ce cas, concentrez-vous sur l'exploration pendant un moment.

Conseil : Le coup de point enlève 1 PV, il est inévitables et peut même toucher les ennemis volants. Utilisez le contre contre les monstres ayant 1 PV pour les tuer instantanément.

Update : 100% le jeu (toutes les cases, tout les item et tout les combats effectué dont les 3 fins) m'as pris 30H de jeu en explorent en premier avant de me battre, l'inverse prendrais plus dans les 80 a 100 heures de jeu.

As someone who loves Wizardry type games, this game is great! The gameplay is smooth and lots of options. The best thing about his game is that it's 100% Steam Deck Verified. I really can't find anything I don't like about this game.

This game is cool, and feels immense. the abstracted nature of it might be a turnoff for folks who want a more story or personality-driven experience, but if you love that gameplay loop of go in dungeon, get stronger, return to surface, heal and upgrade gear, go deeper in dungeon, get stronger, return to surface, etc, this is for you. and despite the minimalist appearance, there's a lot of cool stuff and funny moments in here, expressed through the gameplay mechanics.
