grindy as ♥♥♥♥ mobile port that's also overpriced as ♥♥♥♥ ($10). I still enjoyed it for way longer than I expected. I think I did everything except killing dozens of some of the rarest enemies. for anybody wondering, it's nothing like minesweeper, no place for deduction, just click tiles to find either loot or something to kill or get killed by. there are more games in the franchise but sadly those aren't available on pc. a bunch of similar games exist, mostly not worth bothering with. wait for a huge sale or check it out on mobile.

Dungelot: Shattered Lands is boring..
It could be a very good game if only developer polished mechanics bit more.
At current stage first impression is good, then it all falls apart.
Game mechanics are "borrowed" from Runestone Keeper, but are changed in a way that everything is rather far too easy. This causes you to feel sleepy and not engaged. You just click those tiles without much thinking.
For instance, encountering archers is meaningless because most of the time you carry ranged weapons or spells so they pose no threat to you.
Handling your inventory is terrible. Items are auto-collected and you can't drop nor swap them which causes your bag to get full.
If your bag is full and you hold two ingredients of same kind you won't be able to craft anything because doing so requires free slot.
During crafting you are forced to watch rather annoying repeating animation which blocks you from taking other actions until it is finished.
Overall, you will switch focus from enemies to fighting your bag and quickly finishing levels which inevitably will lead to realization how boring the game is.
I like graphics, I like sounds, I like humor, I like story.
But shortcomings in difficulty and item management forced me to dislike this otherwise good game. I want to like this game, but I can't.
Price is low and fair. If you want to try it or play just for couple of hours then it might make sense to buy it - I did in fact enjoyed first hours with this game.

ОС WIN10 х64. сначала забаговалось сохранение, а мне осталось только босса убить, все остальное пройдено, не получено 5 ачивок, открыты все бонусы за монеты в убежище. пробовал чинить через проверку файлов - не помогло. хрен с ним, решил пройти заново. первый акт за паладина пройден, на втором опять баг. причем игра не зависла, первый уровень второго акта тупо не загружается. в общем, всем, кто захочет взять игру сейчас - с осторожностью. игра старая, я уверен, что исправлений ждать не стоит.

Setting up the controllers is a pain, f#4k this game and whoever developed it
Think minesweeper with DnD trappings & a metagame progression. Although I resent the devs for failing to keep the original game functional on iOS (got bricked by an OS update), I have to admit that this sequel is a pretty nice time waster. It's well executed, art is good, progression is interesting and the core mini-game is satisfying. It's certainly not worth the full price, but if you can pick it up on sale, it's a nice distraction.
To be honest the game looks fantastic and gameplay is actually pretty fun. But the RNG in this game is crazy.
Made it to act II dungeon 3 or whatever. Died twice at floor 18/20 & 20/20 to goblins who have a 30% change to dodge your attack. They dodged it 7 TIMES IN A ROW. Couldn't craft bombs or didn't have any throwables/spells left either.
The 4 inventory slots are a joke, which makes sulfur/bombs super meta, and potions are pretty much completely useless.
And im not even going to talk about the gambler odds, 1/3 chance odds? I opened the chests atleast 20 times. ONCE, only 1 time i got some coins from the supposed ""1/3"" chance odds.
In conclusion: Great idea & visuals, but not worth my braincells & time spent on horrible RNG.

Любители сапёра на месте? Если да, то та игра для вас. Dungelot: Shattered Lands эдакий [u][i][b]«подземельный сапёр»[/b][/i][/u]. Открываете клетки, в надежде получить заветный ключик от двери на этаж выше, попутно лутая всякие расходники типа бомбочек, ножичков, баночек всяких. Но помимо предметов в открытых клетках попадаются злые и не очень враги, которые хотят дать вам по жопе.
Смысл прост: [u][i][b]дойти до верхнего этажа и напнуть боссу подземелья[/b][/i][/u]. И так в каждом уровне и в каждой локации, коих в игре три штуки. Есть несколько персонажей, и как обычно, за кого то играть проще, за кого то сложнее, в силу их уникальных скиллов и прочих особенностей приходится чуть менять стиль игры и не лететь вперёд а открывать клетки с умом а так же юзать предметы. С последним кстати всё 50/50, как собсно и везде. Есть мета предметов, а есть [u][i][b]бесполезные от слова совсем.[/b][/i][/u]
Визуал хорошенький, с бестиарием тоже всё отлично. Так же присутствует юморочек который улыбнёт, [u][i][b]всякие отсылочки к другим играм и не только.[/b][/i][/u]
Dungelot: Shattered Lands, думаю, сможет скрасить пару вечеров не напряжным геймплеем, а любителям ачив придётся набраться терпения, [u][i][b]некоторые из них требуют фарма[/b][/i][/u].
Dungeon 1 and 2 are nice and not hard, nice for discover the game.
Just after that, the dungeon 3 is really too hard, with too much powerful monster, no way to upgrade you'reself at this point and can't play the next dungeon until finish this one, all based on monster you get throught the 20 floors and only RNG based ...

There's a new dance that kids these days do - it's called grinding. I'm not particular to this dance - I prefer the waltz.
But if you like that dance, and your gaming reflects your dance preferences then you'll enjoy this game.
So much grinding that you'll find your blade is quite sharp by the end of it.

Кринжовый сюжет, кондовый нарратив и юмор газетных анекдотов - вызывают нарекания, но не влияют на процесс. Игра выглядит и “исследуется” как пазл, но играется как dungeon-crawler (или роглайт, если угодно). Несмотря на классы, статы, инвентарь и фэнтезийный сеттинг - он не РПГ даже с натяжкой. Скорее это обёрточный полиэтилен с пупырышками. С конечным количеством этих самых пупырышков, что особенно важно! И они приятно лопаются.

Un entretenido juego en el que tienes que pensar, un poco, antes de darle click a cada uno de los bloques que te permiten avanzar. Se vuelve un poco repetitivo pero para entonces ya has jugado, con gusto, varias horas.

Starts off fun enough then the 3rd dungeon you have to clear 20 levels while hoping the RNG does not screw you over. But if that RNG even once summons a skeleton archer there will go all your HP and Armor, especially if it is all the way across the map. GL having enough items to deal with it then as you are gimped to 4 item slots at that point with no way to upgrade slots. Oh and you can't upgrade stats yet as apparently that is locked behind completing more of the game, so even if you buy the best armor and weapons possible at that point if the RNGGoddess hates you, you will be stuck forever on dungeon 3.
Avoid until they patch or nerf dungeon 3, or until they let you upgrade stats earlier in the game.
Kinda like Minesweeper but with RPG stuff. Just kinda wish there was a bit more to this (with all aspects, music, gameplay, progression etc). It also feels a little dated. The humor is pretty cool, but it just gets a little boring.
Note - If you have a vision impairment, windows magnifier will not work in full screen mode. It works fine windowed. Some of the text during gameplay vanishes pretty fast too, but i don't think its that relevant.
The game is initially fun, however, one soon realizes that progression depends solely on mindless boring grinding.
This is clearly a mobile game that should not be sold in this platform.

Bon petit jeu , techniquement pas de bug ni crash . Graphiquement ça va , les décors sont corrects assez coloré les héros sont sympas , c'est pas exceptionnel mais ça fait le travail . Les musiques sont passables , l'ambiance est OK . Le gameplay est un jeu de stratégie sur damier avec un petit coté rogue lite , le but descendre les étages des donjons , on doit se frayer un chemin tout en évitant les pièges , combattre des monstres . 3 zones a faire pour compléter la campagne . Chaque héros a ses compétences et avantages défauts , le paladin possède l'armure et peut se soigner . Petit coté rogue lite via l' or accumulé pendant vos runs , il vous permet d'acheter des décorations qui accordent des bonus permanent . Pour conclure bon petit jeu , un gameplay simple et tranquille , c'est pas un jeu exceptionnel mais il est plaisant . Bref je recommande .
Normally I like smaller games like this but this one just isn't doing it for me. Progression is slow and luck based.
I played for 5.5 hours, enjoying maybe the first hour. Beating a tower is almost a punishment because you aren't allowed to clear old towers for exp/money.
The game is probably good enough for the small amount I paid for it, but still I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.
Graphics are solid, nice music, and I haven't come across a single bug. Nice work.
Il s'agit d'un jeu initialement sur tablette ou mobile apparemment.
Le jeu est intéressant pour son genre, la difficulté correcte et joli sur le design.
Quelques petits trucs à reprocher: Dommage pour les différents perso qui se débloquent en avançant dans le jeu, je l'ai terminé sans avoir à me servir de tout les persos, après pour tout compléter il faut le finir avec chacun.
Plus un passe temps qu'un jeu qui nécessite de la pleine concentration.
Je le trouve légèrement cher mais ça passe, quand on sait que d'autres ne méritent même pas autant, si possible le prendre en promo.

It does look like mobile game and sadly, it also mimics the grindy nature of them.

There is 2 things who made this statement into a big NO for me

2- You need to craft a lot to survive, and every time you do it there is a long animation playing during each craft. (You loose mouse control each time it happens, so you are forced to wait).
Imagine that you need to craft more than 20 items.. it takes minutes.
So yeah = No batch craft

-There is a point in the game were you need to play an Rpg-book story mini game about a siege (It has nothing to do with the game and it is all written)
-The choices are RNG based, and the lenght of that "Adventure" is quite long.
I never beat that event (tried 10 times), so i never advanced the main quest, so i had to uninstall...
More spoilers (You need to beat that challenge for each character.-- so, more than 1 time)
Why can´t i beat it? because i do suck at such written-adventure games.. thats WHY i look for games with mindless fun and instant satisfaction.
So... decieving gamplay. (Actual bad game design)
Imagine Playing Doom Eternal, to have a midstory event were you need to play a match of Backgammon or golf to continue with the fast paced shooting action afterwards.... Yikes!
If you don´t mind those annoyances, then just ignore this and get the game.

그래픽과 UI가 깔끔해서 좋은 느낌으로 시작했는데, 금방 질리네요.
우선 다른 분들도 지적하셨지만 운빨과 운에 기댄 노가다빨(좋은 아이템 얻기, 골드 모으기)이 지나치게 크고 실력이 클리어에 미치는 영향이 별로 없는 수준입니다.
적을 한 대 떄리면 반드시 한 대 맞아야 하는 형식이라 HP/아머 높은게 필수이고, 캐릭터별 스킬도 던전 내에서 스크롤을 얻지 않고는 쓸 수가 없기 때문에 도통 전략이란걸 짤 수가 없네요.

Пошаговые рогалики сейчас пользуются небывалой популярностью, особенно карточные. Но ещё в 2016 году наш любимый издатель Tiny Build выпустил необычный проект Dungelot: Shattered Lands, который решил совместить несовместимое - механику сапёра и Roguelike. В то время я играл в неё на своем старом Аndroid-планшете, и ещё тогда она меня зацепила. Спустя время я взял Данжелот в стиме, и чем глубже я в неё погружался тем яснее мне становилось, почему она не получила продолжение.
Игра создает исключительно [b]положительное[/b] первое впечатление - необычная механика с разбиванием блоков, в которых может находиться как полезности так и монстров с ловушками, разнообразие предметов и артефактов, простой но добродушный юмор и отсылки к популярным РПГшкам прошлых лет. Первую главу по праву можно считать [b]лучшей[/b] частью игры. Но потом создается такое ощущение, что разработчики или не успели её доделать, или не захотели.
Самой большая проблема Данжелота это [b]баланс[/b], что для рогалика подобно смерти, ведь что бы не писали хейтеры этого жанра о рандоме, без скилла в них ты далеко не пройдешь. Сложность очень сильно скачет, ощущения плавной прогрессии нет и подавно. Например, когда открываешь нового персонажа игра предлагает пройти за него предыдущие уровни ради открытия новых чертежей и оружия. При этом прокачка [b]сохраняется[/b], и прохождение превращается в унылый гринд. Также некоторые способности монстров уж слишком нечестные. Я бы хотел посмотреть в глаза человеку, чью светлую голову посетила идея что монстр, наносящий урон как только ты его встретил это честно и сбалансировано. Да и вообще количество монстров, проклятий и ловушек в третьей главе зашкаливает, вызывая только ненависть и фрустрацию. Видимо поэтому по статистике ачивок её прошло всего лишь семь процентов игроков.
Но это не единственная проблема Данжелота, также игра изобилует самыми разнообразными багами. Самый яркий пример - при использовании заклинания вампира, которое перемещает монстра на другую клетку игра [b]не отображает[/b] проклятия на тех блоках, которые закрывал монстр до перемещения. из-за этого ты постоянно не них натыкаешься, что невероятно бесит. Куда смотрели тестеры [i](если они были)[/i] я не понимаю.Но всё таки большинство багов визуальные, поэтому с большинством из них можно смириться, но это конечно же ни в коем случае не скрашивает впечатление от игры.
Подводя итоги выскажу своё [b]мнение[/b] - покупать эту игру в стиме я не рекомендую, но [strike]скачать[/strike] купить на смартфон ещё как стоит. Там и цена меньше, и играть в неё можно будет где угодно. Всё таки это довольно интересный пошаговый рогалик, который сможет подарить 10-15 часов удовольствия.

Not a very fun game; it was fairly enjoyable in the first act, tolerable in the second and just downright frustrating in the last act. Not something I would get at full price.
The RNG in how floors are generated is way too unpredictable, even for the standards of a roguelike, so there is no learning curve or real challenge of sorts of how you want to tackle each floor. Everything boils down to getting a lucky run where you aren't handicapped by bad rng spawning undesirable enemies and unavoidable traps in your path. Difficulty scaling also feels unbalanced, with the dungeons in the last act feeling the most particularly unfair. Each floor is littered with a ridiculous number of traps and contains many enemy types that punish you for employing strategy, be it using your spells and items, to combat them or straight up ignoring all your armor and hitting for true damage with near 100% hitrate. All it takes is one of these bad rng floors to show up and it would most likely ruin your run.

tinyBuild славится тем, что выпускает игры с жесткими попытками пройти уровни. Причем разработчики то разные... Видимо у издателя мания на подобное. Эта игра будто перенесена с мобильных устройств, только без доната... Перед нами рогалик в котором мы ходим с этажа на этаж и боремся со злом. В игре мало уровней, но их трудно пройти и опять начинается гринд... На прохождение более десятка уровней ушло несколько длинных вечеров. В игре очень много рандома, очень много бесконечных вещей, есть баги (когда не отнимаются свитки магии, когда можно покупать в магазине больше чем доступно товара и прочие мелкие баги, упрощающие прохождение, но осадок все равно остается...). Графика в игре красивая, саунд обычный, геймплей не нов, но быстро приедается. Сюжет есть, но он больше для галочки и юмор в игре тоже очень и очень на любителя... Мне не понравилось. Не рекомендую.

It feels weird writing a full review for something like this, a very simple "lite RPG" that basically just goes "and now do it again but slightly harder!" 17 more times after the first dungeon. But yeah, each floor is either a special floor or a 5x5 grid of tiles, with one of them starting out flipped to reveal the locked door to the next level. You can reveal any tile adjacent to one you've already revealed, and from there choose to deal with what's underneath it, which could be a monster, gold, an item, or the key to the next level. Once you've found the key to the next level, at any time you can click on the previously-locked door to move on to the next floor. Repeat between 6 times for the first dungeon in the game to 50 for the final.
A lot of people say this is a highly RNG-based game, and it can be, but I found it wasn't very RNG-based at all if you play conservatively. It's still possible to get screwed by the game refusing to give you any useful items or giving you hilariously bad floor layouts without the items to deal with them, but I didn't die a single time in the entire 2nd act, and only four in the 3rd and final,
And yet, it was still a slog that revealed its last interesting mechanic during act 2, the final act of the game not really bringing anything except shops going from every 5th floor to every 10th and thus making item-screw somewhat more ilkely. Not really recommended.
I originally played this game years ago on my mobile device. At that time the goal was to survive as long as you could but knowing that you would eventually die. This versions, Shattered Lands, is a surprising and delightful improvement over the earlier mobile version. In SL, you progress through a story line and travel to different lands. I have enjoyed playing as the default Paladin and love that you can re-play levels as different characters once you've unlocked them. The gameplay is super clever, easy to get into and deceptively creative. Bravo!
It's a glorified Minesweeper (with combat) but with absolutely no clues to indicate what's behind the squares... so you just kinda click away clearing the 5X5 grid with the hope of finding the key to the next level. The battles involve a very basic turn-based system but you upgrade stuff as you go along.
Unfortunately, the mechanics make it almost like a clicker game where you're simply clicking endlessly on squares in a mindless attempt to get just a bit further than you did before.

Es ist wirklich flach, Loot gibts und Crafting auch, aber eben nur ein paar wenige Items und gut ists. Du wirst Dir keinen Vorteil durch nen tollen Build ergaunern und auch einfach immer das neuste Equip anklicken, losrennen und auf alles draufhauen.
Taktik ist nur gaaaaanz selten gefragt und wirklich deep gehts auch dort nicht zu.
Um nicht nur rumzuheulen sei erwähnt, die Grafik ist ganz niedlich, der Sound irgendwie gar nicht vorhanden, bleibt absolut nicht im Ohr.
Und ja, genau dieses Spiel gibt tausendfach auf Steam, auch in groß, mit mehr Tiefe und mit mehr Spaßfaktor, wenn Du nur auf ne nette Runde zwischendurch aus bist.
Es gibt einfach keinen Grund, es zu spielen, alles schonmal in besser dagewesen und auch in schöner und fordernder und alles halt.
Der Preis im Sale und ein schrecklich ödes Leben, in dem Du schon absolut alles andere dreimal durchgezockt hast, könnten dennoch einen Kauf rechtfertigen. Ich würd´ Dir aber dennoch ein Buch empfehlen im Fall der Fälle, oder koch mal was, geh mit dem Hund raus und wenn Du keinen hast, dann klau Dir einen...

i'm on the fence about this one. the games not bad, you click tiles to see whats under them, then take the items, or fight enemies (if you want). you do this until you find a key then you can keep clicking tiles or move on. any enemy uncovered does not have to be attacked but they will block you from looking at tiles next to them, also enemies always attack first though some items can damage them without them attacking. this would be better on your phone as this game gets really boring played for to long at once as one would do on a pc but perfect for a phone game.
i don't recommend it for steam but i would for your phone.

Очень даже милый юмористический данжн кликер.
Геймплей - Кликаем по блокам, крафтим предметы, используем заклинания. Все довольно просто, но постепенно повышающаяся сложность и элементы роглайка не дают заскучать. Пройти с 1ого раза вряд ли получится, так как враги сильнее, да еще и бьют всегда первыми + рандом. Необходимо несколько раз поумирать, чтобы прокачать героя по характеристикам до необходимого уровня. По мере прохождения открываются рецепты на эликсиры и бомбы, которые можно крафтить непосредственно во время вылазки, дабы упростить прохождение. Герои обладают 4 скиллами (уникальными для каждого), 2 пассивными способностями и несколькими видами уникального оружия и брони. Но изначально доступен только паладин, далее открываются вампир, ведьма и бард. Монстров также большое разнообразие. В игре 3 акта и на каждом из них особенные, со своими способностями и умениями. Также присутствует кузнец, изготавливающий различные оружие и броню и особняк, где можно покупать предметы. дающие определенные пассивные баффы и помогающие проходить подземелья.
Музыка и сюжет в описании не нуждаются ибо 1ая однотипна (если не 1 дорожка на всю игру), а 2ой банален и существует только для продвижения наших героев.
Графика же похожа больше на мобилки, но няшность, серьезность и концепт игры передает в полной мере, отчего игры превращается в ламповые посиделки.
Из минусов я бы отметил необходимость каждый раз заново открывать инвентарь, чтобы применить что-либо и невозможность взять предметы перед походом (купить в магазине или из особняка, к примеру).
По итогу однозначно могу рекомендовать почиллить несколько вечеров, порофлить с фраз, отсылок и сеттинга.

Too wildly random and a couple bad rooms can render the game unwinnable in no time.
That alone is bad enough, but the game's also broken in weird ways at times. My final run ended today when I had 6hp left and clicked a trap to take 2 damage, and wound up dead.
Uninstalled. Will not be playing again. Huge disappointment.

While seemingly simple, once you dive into it, Dungelot shows some degree of depth, keeping you engaged just long enough to avoid getting stale. It doesn't suffer from too many bugs, but the few I experienced were very annoying. With some additional polishing and balancing, this game could've been just a bit more entertaining, but I believe for its length it's not that important.

If taken at face value, Dungelot appears like quite a simple game. Which is fair, considering it's a mobile port, but it does demand some strategy in later stages. The thing I most enjoyed about it is that there was just enough content without becoming tedious to finish. Unfortunately, the rarer achievements are not as enjoyable, relying mostly on luck, rather than skill, forcing you to invest quite a lot of time to unlock them.
Graphically speaking it's nothing impressive, but it's charming enough and I enjoyed the sound design. My gripes were primarily with some bugs that would make the UI get suck, or unable to open, meaning I wouldn't be able to either close, or open inventory/menu/prompts and so on. Another noticeable issue was that at some point I died, but wasn't prompted with the Game Over screen. So I effectively ran the entire level and won, with zero health. A lack of inventory management was also a big issue for me, but it didn't play much of an important role throughout the game.
Some characters feel extremely weak in comparison to others, and once I unlocked the Enchanted Bomb recipe + its upgrades, I had no incentive to replay any of the levels with the weaker characters. The late game feels lacking, as in, most of the enemies just have a ton of offensive/defensive (of both) abilities. So doing anything other than attacking directly generally results in you taking damage and there's also an increase of enemies on each floor. Some of the items also felt underwhelming in comparison to others, so obviously I just stuck to the simplest and most effective strategies.
I can't say I exactly struggled, but it was definitely a bit of a nuisance to finish the last levels. Mostly skipping enemies where possible, putting a few points in HP and the rest in ATK (blessings), though perhaps the opposite of this might help in rushing to the exit and bombing the final boss.
The achievements felt fine, until I had to get the Worm Rider one. I lost a few hours just completing that one, and doing it while trying to complete the game would likely be very counter-productive, so I ended up hating all the time spent grinding just that.
Pretty much a classic roguelike, comparable to the ones that were roaming around between 1990 and 2010. Modern mechanics are implemented, like crafting and continual developement of your heroes even if they're dying (back then, you usually had to start at zero after death). And this is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
Some people don't like the amount of rng. But the whole point of this game is to reduce the rng. Keeping the ressources you spend to explore the floors at a minimum and trying to maintain as much flexibility as possible.
Beat the rng. Like Minesweeper :)

적절히 팔고, 사고, 건너뛰고 매 순간의 판단에 제약이 생기는 게임
같은 스테이지에서만 몇 번을 멤도는 건지...
성향이 안 맞는다 싶으시면 과감히 다른 게임 하는 게 정신건강에 좋습니다.
Dungelot: Shattered Lands is a roguelite dungeon-crawler with minesweeper inspired game mechanics.
The graphics are really cute and the soundtrack fits the atmosphere well.
It’s not overly difficult and therefore perfect for casual players.

Not a bad game by itself, but another case of bad roguelike mechanics. The game relies too much on luck and sometimes a dungeon run can end really fast from some negative effect. Another problem is that the later dungeons take way too long, anything past 20 floors is too long and if you fail you have to start all over again. On my first boss run I died when I arrived on stage 30 just from the poison I got the stage before.
I am about half way through the campaign and lost interest completely from repeating some dungeons.

Dungelot is a grindy and extremely tedious/frustrating and unbalanced clicker game, with very simplistic gameplay. To make matters worse is the large volume of RNG-based systems, which make you feel like you don't have any control over the game at all. The game can get unfairly difficult due its RNG and imbalanced state, and you have to re-grind the exact same dungeons if you want to play with a different hero. Even the achievements are designed to be grindy.
So overall, Dungelot is an easy uninstall for me, and I would recommend everyone to stay away from it as well. This game should have stayed in the app store for phones, because on PC it isn't anywhere near fun enough.
I wasn't sure if I'd like this game, particularly given some of the reviews, but it's surprisingly fun.
Work through dungeons to get to the boss fight at the end without dying. It's pretty simple, but entertaining if you feel like playing something that isn't going to make you think about strategy too hard. Minimal story. Got it on a 75% off sale and was worth it for that.
