Unfortunately this game left me extremely frustrated. At one point you have to shrink your character and go through a tunnel. If you die there, the auto-save puts you exactly at the point where you died.

The problem is that when you respawn, you don’t have enough time to get out of the shaft before dying again. This creates an endless loop where you just keep dying over and over at the same spot.

The only solution is to restart the entire game from the beginning. An auto-save system that can permanently trap the player like this should never happen.

Thanks for the completely unnecessary auto-save that makes the save file basically unusable. Very disappointing.

+ Duke Nukem 3D secrets is ridiculous placing, hard finding it without searching online and I really love there is some secret level its why make Duke Nukem 3D iconic
- Need more setting for optimizing performance, i like 'True 3D' setting but sometime need classic one (44°C GPU without 'True 3D', 78°C GPU 'True 3D' on)
- Need 'Babe Saved!' mode back

Juegazo. El juego tiene un arsenal bastante grande armas, esta lleno de paredes secretas, y lo que más me gusto fue la música y los mapas finales... aunque el jefe final se muere de una...pero lo disfrute bastante, gráficamente se ve bastante bien y anda bien fluido para se un juego del año de la corneta.

One of the classic Boomer Shooters, no one can decrown Duke Nukem!
Start with the simple yet effective pistol, your powerful foot and plenty of asses to kick; no need for a whole story before you get introduced head-first to the gory action of protecting babes from aliens. Five whole episodes, each with at least 8 levels (1-2 of which are secret levels ;)) is a lot of gameplay for a 2016 game.
Another thing that caught my eye is the amount of detail around the level, specifically the objects in it: if you need to recover a bit of health but see no medicine around, just go take a piss or drink some water from a water fountain; or maybe you want to admire your huge muscles in the mirror; or even perhaps give a tip to the dancers (achievement btw). Not only that, but I also found some references to other franchises in-game, with Duke always having something to say about it.
Overall a great shooter for blowing some steam off, can't recommend enough.

Now, for the achievements:
A few story related, a bunch about killing with certain weapons (two of which that can be easily done by taking steroids and bombing a bunch of slimes in the sewers), two about speedrunning the first level (not hard at all, took me 5 tries), three easter eggs and a few others.
I took 24 hours to finish all levels

This is probably the worst version of Duke Nukem 3D. It's riddled with bugs and controversial changes but it's worth a try. I think the gameplay is quite satisfying despite the bugs.

i used to play this when i was very little, and this was my childhood. i didn’t even fully understand everythnig back then, it felt edgy and funny at the same time xd, to this date, it’s still very worth playing. the graphics kinda old school (i really liked lowpoly textures) . the gameplay is still smooth, fast, and satisfying and the story is good. this still the best boomer shooter for me , iv played many but this one is the best <3

Pour les 20 ans de Duke Nukem 3D, Gearbox nous sort cette version World Tour franchement sympa mais pas exempte de défauts. Le nouvel épisode fait voyager Duke aux quatre coins du monde pour des niveaux bien dans l'esprit du jeu d'origine et avec de nouvelles références en bonus. Une réussite. Le rendu aussi est amélioré avec les textures plus détaillées et les lumières colorées qui embellissent les décors sans trahir l'esthétique d'époque (surtout qu'on peut switcher du mode amélioré au standard d'une simple touche). Il y a par contre des soucis sur la qualité du son et surtout il manque les extensions de la Megaton Edition ! Bon on est sur PC, il y a des mods pour ça mais quand même... Ah oui et pas de Quick Save mais un système de retour arrière. Marrant mais toujours moins pratique que la Quick Save !
En 2026 c'est maintenant l'heure des 30 ans mais Gearbox ne semble pas vouloir célébrer. Dommage, Duke et les joueurs auraient sans doute apprécié un épisode de plus !

Bueno 20 aniversario celebrado con algo de retraso. :) Solo puedo decir que creo que este port modernizado esta muy bien, no llega a la exelencia de el de doom hecho hace un tiempo, pero en lineas generales esa bien. Su capitulo nuevo hecho por miembros originales se siente duke nukem 3D a tope. Un par de capitulillos mas, un final boss mas tocho y unas cinematicas de inicio y final al estilo del original hubiesen estado geniales la verdad. Pero bueno, jugar a duke nukem 3D es siempre una gozada! hijo de su tiempo sin mas, como yo! XD

The "cursed Randy version" is right. This is the probably the worst port of Duke 3D I've ever played. Weird aiming jank and weird game performance issues that have nothing to do with your rig. Really uncomfortable to play. Only positive thing I'll say is the new episode was pretty cool.

a lot of og players seem to dislike the re-recorded voice lines and lighting changes, i like them personally. my main complaint is the previous release getting delisted so that this one can have sales bumped which is unfortunate. new episode was ok, had some strong moments but overall felt kinda mediocre and the final boss was weirdly slapped together (like come on guys, you couldnt think to make a final boss that is actually able to damage the player at a distance?) also not including the expansion packs that were already included previous re release is pretty goofy. this was definitely a cash grab at the time, but as of today i think its a decent enough port even if community sourceports may be better. gotta get nightdive on it to really make something that shines!

p.s. you can tell this was released in 2016 because of people being all smug about the game being 'too cool and non PC for todays crowd' despite, you know, literally being a rerelease of the game, in modern time lol

They used to call this a 'Doom Knockoff or Doom-Like' until the FPS genre got its own path, and Duke Nukem was one of the early ones along with Doom to enter the market or rather be like the pioneers. I really enjoyed playing through all 5 episodes, and the 5th episode being my favourite as it was made for the 20th anniversary edition, but also shows how much further they could push the engine for this final tribute to the game. In my opinion, there's clearly much love been put into developing this game, and it really comes through when you play the game, and even in todays day and age that sort of love is lacking in development a lot of the time.

9/10 for this 20th anniversary edition, highly recommended to all who love FPS games.

复刻做得很糟糕，有鼠标手感很怪，不能调fov，滚轮改绑不灵敏等等很多问题。更别说它取代了扩展包附带更多的超重版。
这些内容，包括死亡回溯很明显都是服务于手柄操作，但是你键鼠都没做好。
杜克我个人不太喜欢，也觉得不如其他两个build大作，那两个都有更好的开袋即食的版本。
新扩展包还行，怪物量挺足。

It's a good way to play this old FPS from 1996 again. There's a "real 3d" (or called similar) option that makes the game look a lot better (less distorted), and of course a ton of political incorrectness and jokes we could never make today. Or could we? Hm, maybe we could. After all they're just jokes, and whoever gets offended by a joke... is a joke themselves! HA!

Recommended as it's the only way to play DN3D unless you had any of the currently delisted versions, plays well and I encountered no issues except for the rewind feature, I suggest you disable it as soon as possible because it somehow triggered Duke to died with no apparent cause from time to time.

Other than that, the only downside to this edition is that it doesn't include the "Duke it out in D.C." nor "Duke's Caribbean: Life's A Beach" episodes. Dunno why they weren't included. It does include an extra episode called Alien World Order which I really enjoyed, though. Featuring maps in different capitals of the world.

I hope some day the Voxel graphics will find a way into this Anniversary Edition. So far Voxel Duke can only be played through eduke32... which does not have the improved lighting.

one of the worst ways to play the game
read up on Duke 3D and watch some vids of it before you decide whether you want to play it or not. if you want to play it, buy this on sale and download the EDuke32 source port (or any of the other recommended source ports) and play through that. World Tour is an awful way to play through Duke Nukem 3D. also it doesn't seem to include many - if any - of the original expansions, and also does not include any content exclusive to any of the many console ports of Duke 3D.
as for Duke 3D itself, it's got extremely crude humor, a narcissistic protagonist who spouts tons of one-liners and is a total womanizer, mostly okay-terrible level design past the first episode (which is actually good), and many elements that can come off as extremely misogynistic.
