So, the developers have outdone other lazy VR-developers and deprived players of the ability to use the joystick not only to turn, but even to move.

I had such high hopes for this one. Multiplayer b&s style combat. But it's an early access game that hasn't been updated since 2017, which is pretty messed up. Don't buy this game.

Na rok 2022 mamy do wyboru trzy tryby: 1- Samouczek (nie warto się zniechęcać). 2- Tryb walki z prymitywną sztuczną inteligencją, na czterech poziomach trudności. 3- Walkę z kolegą, który również posiada grę lub z kimś innym z kim się wcześniej umówimy.
Graficznie obleci jak na vr z 2017 roku jest ładnie. "Areny" wydają się być ogromnymi przestrzeniami, co jest przyjemne, są ładne i bardzo zróżnicowane. Dosyć dużo możliwości personalizacji postaci. Poczekalnia to przyjemna tawerna. Zdobywamy poziomy i odblokowujemy nowe bronie. Grało mi się przyjemnie, nawet po Blade and Sorcery. Tutaj na plus, że walczymy z jednym przeciwnikiem i nie ma takiego zamieszania.
Grę kupiłem na obniżce -90% to było najlepiej wydane 2 zł w moim życiu.

Stilted combat and terrible movement mechanics are all this really has to offer. Go get Blade and Sorcery instead if you can run it. If not, you're better off waiting.

Deus Vult is not as good as Blade & Sorcery or Hell-split Arena. It's not as good as Swords of Gurrah or Swords of Gargantua. It's a a dated, cheap online pvp sword-fighting / melee combat game with online bots. You'll be lucky if you find another player online to go against (I actually did find a rando to play against).
So if you don't expect realistic physics and instead expect some jank, then this game is actually more than alright. Is it a good game? No. But is it a good deal for the sale price of .49 cents USD that I bought it? Hell yes.
It's got lots of different weapons to unlock. You can customize your character to look almost any way that you want. There are several maps to go against. Sure, I wish the AI bots were better challenges. They are not. However, you can still role-play and have fun. I found it fun to try out a Mace & Sword combo. If you can find another player, then you can have some casual arcade combat type fun. There is no steep learning curve. Just try different weapons and try to cheese each other.
Game is running on the Unity Engine. On my RTX 3080, I was getting a pretty steady 90 fps with only a few frames dropped here and there. You do have full locomotion option (the default is to grab air and pull yourself forward .. yuck). Unfortunately, there is no smooth or snap turning. You can set graphical settings from low to high and you can set your height.
For .49 cents, I really couldn't ask for more. I was entertained for about an hour. I'll probably never play this game again, but I had more fun in this game than a lot of other VR games that cost a lot more. It's simple, stupid fun.

It's a fun game if you have someone to play with, but it's also one of the worst games I have ever played. Besides my friend, I have not seen a single person in the entire lobby. Also, the amount of glitches are insane.
Just save up for Blades and Sorcery, you will feel a lot better about yourself. I bought this to play with a friend. I made the mistake of buying it for us both before playing it. Let's just say I didn't want to subject them to playing it with me.

This is a fun game definitely, but as of right now I cannot recommend buying it unless you have friends to play with, because the servers are as dead as an accused witch in the dark ages. To top that off there is absolutely nothing to do outside of online play aside from AI matches, which are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ easy I did it with my eyes closed max difficulty.

Worth grabbing for you and a friend anytime the game is on sale for ~$1. Have some (albeit glitchy) fun bashing each other with medieval weapons. Just don't expect any deep single player content, and there isn't really a big enough community to expect matchmaking with randoms.
This game is really cool, and I think the full price is definitely worth it. The bad reviews are of people with 0.1 hours on the game and they didn't know how to beat the tutorial.

One question. Why would your locomotion involve reaching out and grabbing the air and pushing it behind you to move?
the price point is low, so thats a plus, but thats about where the good bits stop. Gameplay is clunky, graphics are sub-optimal, and youve got a better chance of finding reindeer ♥♥♥♥♥ on the roof than finding a game in the matchmaking.

This game is good and is occasionally on sale. The biggest mistake they made was a stop in development (not announced but there's a 3 year absence in development)
There's only 2 main bugs that are bad and one i don't really care about
1. Sometimes stabbing/jabbing pushes the enemy away
2. (the one i don't care about) you can fall off the edge of some the maps without dying.

Received product at 90% off; at that price (50 cents US), it's worth it. At full price, no way.
The concept is promising, and I like the format, but the swordplay is pretty crummy. The settings and music are actually quite nice, the weaponry looks promising, but the UI is generally pretty bad, and the fighting mechanics are clunky. It takes a lot of suspension of disbelief to imagine that you're sword fighting. I have yet to encounter a human fighter, and the AI even at expert gets pretty boring pretty quickly.
So...I hope that the developer actually pours some effort into UI and physics and ends up with something that merits the decent art and concept. In the mean time, if you get at 90% off, it's worth a jaunt. And please do, because I'd really like to fight against a human someday.

This was cool until Blade and Sorcery came out. Now it's abandonware. I played many times and never once saw a single other person on-line. So it may be an "on-line" game but you will be fighting only bots. They are too easy to kill. Dead game.

Piece of crap. Any positive comment about this game is beyond me. Check the bartenders ass – that's as good as it going to get – then move on to refund if you already made the mistake of buying this disaster. Last time I check anything out from raptor lap (two absolute misses and one meh)...
The game has been abandoned by both it's creators and the community. It's been an extremely long time since the update, and according to the other reviews, it's community is dead.

This game is aimed at multiplayer, but can level up your character and unlock new stuff by playing against BOTs (who are pretty satisfying to beat, IMO).
At $5, I'd say this game is more than worth it in it's current state. (And it'll definitely have you breathing hard after a few rounds!)
Awesome concept, TERRIBLE EXECUTION. The weapons are slow, clunky, constantly get tangled together and in the ais gear with no rhyme or reason, the weapon on AI contact is dumb. For example, the axe should be able to reach over and behind the shied, I should be able to push his shield out of the way, stabbing barely works. Dumb game.

Guys hear me out. This game is dead. I was looking forward for some challenge with other people but there is no one online. The AI fight is boring and easy. I was expecting spare would be like polearms but no. I am asking for a refund.

In itself, this is a really nice game for all sword fighting friends.
I have worked for 7.5 years medieval fencing art in the club and have to say, here are some ways to apply techniques.
But then I lost my appetite - why? It takes "EXTREME" a lot of space. I crashed myself here with a controller.

Amazing game, wish devs still worked on it, use the discord and you are garunteed to find people to play with. Ignore the haters, this game does extremely well for what it is, a tactical fighter, you cant just pick up the biggest weapon and swing as fast as you could in real life, you need to plan attacks which in turn feels super satisfying, learning to super jump and attacking enemies with real life spin attacks makes this game a 10/10 for me
Honestly cannot see why people recommend this.
Weapons don't feel right, at all. Feels like you could easily win just flailing rather than using realistic technique.
Weapons also seem to have a form of recoil to hitting things, but the hitboxes for this are off, I find swinging at an AI sometimes renders my hilt showing it "hit" the enemies shield or weapon, even when visible it did not collide at all.
AI are sloppy and not at all fun in the slightest.
Literally nobody joining in the matchmaking, stuck waiting around without any info on whats happening in the tavern.
Maybe after EA phase it'll get better, but for now this is a swing and a miss.
Just got the game and 3 nights in a row Ive waited hours for anyone in the whole world to play and there isnt a soul to be seen online.. not one person? Is there really not one person playing this game for the hours I waiting or is it an issue with linking players in a lobby? Are the developers done playing too?
The phyisics are bad. Im not sure how this game has so many good reviews.The movements are very saratic and not accurate at all. the first real player i fought was just swinging a mace back and forth and and his hands where floping around like they werent conected to his body.
I absolutely love the kitties but I don't think the sword play is there yet. I tried matchmaking but could not find anyone to play against so I played the AI. I destroyed the hardest difficulty first try with very little effor. I can't justify the price tag for this at its current state - although it does have potential.
This game has potential but needs some work. It's just 1v1 matches, which gets old if you're playing vs AI and playing vs expert level AI is too easy / no challenge for me. Searching for opponents multiplayer, you can't really tell if its doing anything or not. I'd wait in the Tavern longer if I knew it was searching. Also I've seen this game has some amazing battlefields but it keeps putting me in the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥ ones that look plain and incomplete (like that pure white snow shipwreck one.)
It would also be nice if I could do more stuff in the Tavern while you wait for players. Give me my weapons and a training dummy. Let me play darts, or throw balls in a bucket. Something.
Combat is kind of jenky. Your sword gets blocked by stuff pretty easily and won't always do what you want it to do. Sometimes you'll think you should hit but your sword gets blocked. It's not all bad though and adds a bit of skill to get clean hits. Easy blocks also makes your shield pretty OP vs the computer AI, hence no challenge for me, though I can crush them with a two handed weapon too.
This game is absolute ♥♥♥♥.
...but in a good way. It's craptastically awesome. The combat mechanics are clunky as all hell but works perfectly and is fair once you got the techniques down BUT you will end up in the hospital if you play for long enough.
Overall, 10/10, absolute best VR game I've played thus far, would recommend for anyone who enjoy games that are so bad they're good.
the game seems good when it comes to movement and enviroment, but in combat the weapons is a very slow to recover after a block. and with the spear, its like its on autoblock, so i cant attack with it. other than that, its a game well made :)
Dissapointing picked this up to try it.. Turns out its just a limb flailing simulator, attempting to get the game to register your weapon hitting them before they get their weapon to register a block. I'd maybe play this game once and a while if it was F2P but it's not worth having paid money for.. Refund Plox.

I do like the game itself. But it seems to be abandoned. It's unfinished. It has only very basic features. It receives no more updates. There are no other players. The AI fights are totally boring.

Enfin un vrai jeux de baston VR en multijoueur!! Deus Vult est un aperçu de ce que sera les jeux de combats multi de demain. J'ai de l'espoir pour le futur.
Techniquement c'est propre et immersif. Il ne faut pas se fier aux screenshots et aux videos car les sensations sont differentes quand on joue en vr. On est vraiment imprégné dedans même avec des graphismes simple et tant mieux car le jeux est fluide.
Les mouvements sont assez authentique et lorsque tout devient brouillon c'est parceque les deux participants bourrinent comme des oufs du coup on ne voit plus rien de ce que l'on fait comme dans la realité. Mais lorsque deux bons joueurs s'affrontent, alors on a de la technique et de la tactique et c'est vraiment cool.
Le level up sert juste à debloquer des armes, on ne devient pas plus fort avec un systeme de sac à pv. Les armes que l'on débloque on doit apprendre à jouer avec et pour devenir plus fort il faut s'entrainer à la baston comme pour un vrai art martial et çà CA CHANGE TOUT!

It can be a bit glitchy at times, but for the good 90-95% very smooth. I have enjoyed this game more than every other game that I have experienced on VR. This is what ive wanted from VR.
I would suggest at least a 6x6 play area. mine is currently about 5x6 and i tend to bump into the shelfs on my wall and may or may not have broken a television, and a controller. {still won the match though ;-D}
Overall Excellent experience. Tons of fun. And i have recomended this to all of my friends.
Some things i would like to see, maybe some sort of statistics like wins/losses, weapons you have the most kills with. Just something of that sort. I have noticed alot of people tend to look like they are squatting, maybe some sort of calibration durring charecter editting to help sort that out. And i hope there can someday be some sort of huge free for all of like 6+ people, it would be awesome!

Knocked my monitor over, punched my wall, got tangled up in my cords and kicked my ethernet cable out twice. 10/10 would sweat profusely again.
What I like most about this game is that there's actually an element of skill and strategy to it. It's not just total flailing until someone falls down. You have to tie up their weapon(s) with yours in order to avoid getting hit, or to create an opening.
sure the animations look goofy but its genuinely a fun game
my only real issue is that some people just swing randomly and still win. using no real tactics. its much worse than button mashing.

SO COOL. Good atmosphere, good dynamics, good customization, and the online game is very immersive. Being able to play and talk to other players online gives you a lot of fun. The bad thing is that you need to unlock levels to gain access to more powerful weapons, and not be so weak against other online users. Also the physics of this game feels broken sometimes, the bots are very easy to win and there are very few online players. Even with all that, I had a great time playing and it's one of those that I'll play more hours. 很不错的一款游戏，优点不多说了，说说我的建议（suggestion）好了，中文的，希望开发者可以看看
1，经常在战斗结束后卡在酒馆门口的界面没法继续，只能关闭游戏再进入，不是什么啥原因
2，建议对于模型按照人身高进行等比例缩放，现在人物模型统一太大，导致身高一般的人就会一直属于半蹲状态，很别扭。
3，酒馆里应该加入一些小游戏和互动，打发一些等候的时间。
4，物理碰撞和伤害以及动作还需要继续优化。
I've done a lot of stick sparring in my time and a fair amount of sword sparring, based on that here's my advice:
you want to make a good sword simulator take the framework of The Thrill of the Fight (boxing) and work weapons mechanics into it
you want to make a dogs dinner : Don't... Games like Deus Vult have already got it covered.
The movement mechanic is dreadful, like something that people thought might be a good idea a year ago when the Vive first came out
The weapons physics? There is none, It's random mess as the AI stands toe to toe and possibly swings, possibly bashes who can tell? I know the only thing I actually trusted to be reproduced was a....thrust. And even that was dodgy
Oh and btw, If your best tip for a sword simulator is " swing wide, we mapped damage to big wide swings" then you're a bit like a virgin designing a sex simulator
It's embarrasing that someone is charging 22 euros for Early Access to something that should not have gotten past its first test play
The only way I can explain the positive reviews for this game is that so far, VR is a young market and people are more lenient with the games.
Just from the top off my head:
-Shield doesn't always properly parry the damage. I kept getting killed by someone hitting my shield.
-The weapon physics is AWFULL. I swear I cannot put into words how bad it is:
----Your weapon goes really slow when you're in close combat???
----Your weapon gets stopped by stuff you're not even remotely touching so you're constantly parried
----Somehow stabbing someone pushes him away(???) so if he has a spear you're making his life easier: the game punishes you for managing to get at the right distance by... pushing your opponent away?
-You can fall off the lobby.
Now, it's early access and issues are to be expected... But the game has customs, multiple maps, and a lot of weapons... Wich begs the question: If the devs would rather add weapons and maps and beards, are they able to fix the issues or are they just avoiding it?
This is what I have been waiting for since buying a vive, a great multiplayer sword fighting game.
Multiple weapon types are availble already, each require a different fighting style and I find them all exciting to use.
The most fun I have had in VR as of yet!
Edit: This game does suffer from a lack of an enjoyable single player. I find one must make a special attempt at making friends and organizing fights with personal messages or groups such as Discord. If you want to try out this game please join the discord and or add me as a friend!
This is the first multiplayer VR swordfighting game and while not perfect, it gets a lot of things right.
The combat strategy revolves around using your weapons/shields to balance defending your body, attacking, and moving (which involves using one of your hands and losing cover).
There are basically unlimited ways to move (since you're tracking your body) and the,\ large weapon selection means you get a lot of freedom to create your own fighting style (similar to Chivalry). For example, mine consists of moving quickly with two swords and alternating between dashing to their heads, dropping down and slashing their feet, or running circles around them while backstabing.
The biggest flaw is that there is no feedback when swords clash, so what happens when two player's sword hit is their body/sword will just not move. However, this starts to feel more natural the more you play. You start to move back quicker and the fighting feels much more fluid when two good players duel. There are also some glitches and crashes. Some weapons also feel overpowered versus others, and the low playerbase / lack of matchmaking means sometimes someone is much better than the other player. But overall, the game is extremely fun (and a huge workout).
This game is one of the most fun and replay value games I've purchased in my first week of vive. I've played plenty now, ranging from about 15-20vr games. Mot only were the fighting mechanics good, but the community is a ton of fun to play with as well.
One epic battle was with myself and another player. Me duel swords and him duel axes. Both tied with 2 wins a final battle to decide the victory. One hit from either player would decide the game....
I got in my stance as he did his, both breathing heavily from our previous battles and clashing of weapons...
We rush at each other, I dodge and took advantage of the opening with a swing!!!
The victory was mine and it felt well earned.

I love this game. It's still pretty new and yet it has soooooo much potential to become even better than the work of art it is. This is a must for multiplayer games in VR
There are still some things that need to be added or fixed, like the health bars being kinda "meh" and there should probably be another type of gamemode other than Matchmaking; like a private lobby or something to let people play with their friends. But I think that things like this should be expected by any game that advertises itself as early access.

ゲームを起動すると最初にチュートリアルがあるが、最初に移動方法、後はNPCの敵を倒すだけなので英語が読めなくてもオッケー。
チュートリアルが終わるとまずはキャラクター作成だが、初期から選べるアバターの種類がなかなか豊富で、スカイリムやオブリなどのキャラクターがカッコイイと思える人なら好みのキャラクターを作れるはず。
戦闘に使用する武器は片手武器(剣や斧)の二刀流や盾、両手武器(槍や大剣)を好きに選んで使用する事ができ、両手に盾を持ってボクシングスタイルで戦う事もできるなど自由度は高め。
ただ、武器は戦闘を行ってLvが上がると徐々に開放されていくタイプなので、最初は二刀流や剣盾など色々試してみる事をオススメします。
キャラクター作成が終わると小さな酒場のロビーに入るのですが、入った奥の扉に触れるとマッチング開始、入って来た後ろの扉に触れるとキャラクターメイク(＆装備変更)に戻れます。
※酒場に居るセクシーなお姉さんもさることながら、所々に居る小さな猫がすごくカワイイ！
で、メインの戦闘では武器どうしに当たり判定があり、武器に当たるとリアルで振っていても武器はそこに止まり、手首がグニャリと曲がる『武器を貫通して斬る』ことはできない仕様です。
そのため武器どうしが触れた状態で受け流しつつ相手を斬る事は難しく、しっかりと体を狙って斬る、間合いや敵の背後をとる事が重要で、気が付くと激しく動いてますｗ
初回プレイ時には日本の方ともマッチングしたりもしましたが、基本は外国の方と対戦になると思います。
ただNPCとの戦闘モード(難易度5段階)もあるので、初プレイで対人は...な方も、人が居ない...って時でも遊べるので気軽にカモーン！
特にSwordMasterVRを対人でやったら楽しそうとか思った人にはぜひオススメしたい一本です。

Here is the reasons that made me give the thumbs down.
>when loading it at begining it seems as though its crashed your stuck in a white screen what feels like minutes till something happens.
> when matchmaking is in process it will sometimes freeze, i waited 5 minutes before having to hard close my steam VR down and reboot the game.
>fighting AI is hard picutre your room the ememy shimmys all around you fast i gurantee you 100% no matter how customed you are to your space you will damage a wall,controller,tv screen as when your in the moment it throws you out of your zone and you strike back and its often the wall , my advice is use very visabel grids on your boundys and try backway and fight in a cornor which is not fun. this would work well if you were in a very big room ie 3m x 3m ect
The idea is good but even room scale on the minimum requirment is way to small you could not play this just standing so that needs removing of the list.
By all means try it but make sure your in middle of a 2m x 2m minimum sqaure and try get back to middle at all times.
Ton of potential. Great workout. Unfortunately, the sword fighting physics are terrible. When you get close to someone, you simply cant swing and the animation doesn't really look like you're being blocked at all. Also, my sword floated away about 4 feet from me once. Multiplayer people were really rude and immature and it doesn't look like theres a way to mute them just yet. Seems like cheap tactics with 2 swords rule the land.
That said, I will revisit this game in a year or so for sure. It could be really great, but currently not worth much.

This is it. VR melee combat.
I've got 7 hours in and I can own some people, lose to others. The game feels like I'm back in martial arts class. You have to defend your weak points and take advantage of your opponent's mistakes. You can block attacks, you can sidestep around enemies. Every game I try to learn more and more about how to play so that I can improve. Some people I can just totally negate their weapon with one of my weapons while I side stab them. Some people run back and forth swinging wildly. There's talk here and there of various weapons being OP, and that might be true, but when in history did people really know what was 'OP' until years and years of top level competition?
Devs seem to be pretty active as the game just came out and there's already been patches.
The community has only grown since launch, and while there might be 10-20 people on, I feel like it's going to keep growing, and it's usually not hard to find a match. Unfortunately matchmaking is a little weird - you need to queue up at the same time as your friend if you want to just face him/her, otherwise it will choose an opponent based on all the people queued up.
There's a variety of weapons so you can really pick a style that suits you. I haven't run into a single jerk in-game, and I've met some pretty cool people. There was this one old man who called me 'Sensei' when I beat him. I taught him some stuff.
I don't think there's another game like this in existence. I don't want to play shooters - I want melee combat where I use my arms and positioning to outmaneuver my opponents, just like a martial art - and this is the only game I know of that (currently) fits the bill.
It's not perfect, and I don't expect it to be at this stage. I feel like more subtle physics are necessary for when swords collide and when they are in contact.
Nevertheless, this game, even in its current state, is a must play for all honorable warriors. As far as I know, this is just the beginning of what I hope is an amazing future.
As an early access fighting game, it does avoid the problem that sword master VR had, in that the enemies come close enough to attack, but as of the most recent update, the enemies now come a little too close, as it seems they were told to just not stop moving towards the player. This leads to me, using a spear, to be unable to attack them whatsoever as it is a long pole weapon, close distance is not its forte. Even the axes and swords have a tough time hitting enemies when they're within freaking kissing range.
On the matter of the single-handed axes, the weapons you get in level two, they're SEVERELY overpowered, compared to swords. My first match online, I fought someone with two axes whom just started moving them rapidly up and down. I had no possible way to attack him with how he just kept swinging, getting too close would mean I got hit by their high damage, low recoil swings. I've played against expert AI with two axes just swinging rapidly with no repercussions. Just a lot of victory.
One of the first things I thought when I started playing For Honor was "Wow, this would be cool in VR". Deus Vult does a fantastic job bringing swordplay and combat to VR. The locomotion works well once you get used to it. Combat is fun and mostly immersive (weapon physics needs a bit of work but so far so good). I am extremely impressed with this game in its alpha form and cannot wait to see it evolve. Great work! I play a PK in For Honor and it's great that I was able to "become" my character in virtual reality. Physically engaging with a game like Deus Vult can also be a great workout!

After the latest update (with horrid voice acting I might add) and the price hike, this game is no longer fun. Looks like they really do want to be like For Honor. I used to enjoy it, now it sucks. The price is also 200% higher than when I originally got it. Wait for it to go on sale, or wait for the developer to fix it again. Had to switch my thumb on this one.
So far, the community is very nice and willing to help, teach and learn. The mechanics are fun and surprisingly well working for a sword fighting VR game.
Really fun so far, can't wait to play more of it. Tons of fun for a game that's this early, and the developer seems responsive.
There are some physics problems I'm sure he knows about and is working on (sometimes the weapons lag behind a bit too much, or they start twisting/spinning) as well as balance which they have said they are working on actively.
This is one of the first PVP VR games I've seen that has a worthwhile unlock system, so that's pretty neat. It feels really cool to level up and get a new weapon that behaves differently, does different damage, has different weight.
One thing that should be added immediately is a method of muting others and muting yourself. This really shouldn't be too hard to add, and would be greatly appreciated by me and plenty others. (especially with what's going on in the discussion forums, don't want to have to deal with that spilling over into the game if it does)
Overall really fun and highly recommended to anyone who wanted a good melee fighting game, especially one where you can finally fight your friends. Good work dev, and please continue what you're doing!

Graphically the game is outstanding! The environments are amazing! Gameplay feels a little rubbery at times but I feel for an EA title it has a very good foundation in which to grow. I fully recommend the game and also recommend putting mattresses and padding all around your playspace. Already put a dent in my computer case from a crazy sword fight hit the wall 3 times knocked over my vive stand and braised my TV...YOU NEED LOTS OF PLAY SPACE! If you are barely making the minimum requirements for room scale or if your room you are playing in is small or confined I do not recommend this game! YOU WILL BREAK S#!T!

also an sich ist das Spiel schon echt lustig und macht spaß, allerdings hat es natürlich auch noch Schwachstellen. Dafür ist es ja noch in Early.. Z.B das Kämpfen muss noch optimiert werden.. das Laufen bzw die Animationen an sich. Mehr Bots.. unterschiedliche Bots.. vielleicht ein Koop Modus.. ein 3vs3 oder auch mehr. Ach das Spiel hat Potential, deswegen kann man es ruhig unterstützen ;)

As an avid Chivalry player I love this game. It has a very high skill cap just like chivalry. I have played for a little and have developed a strat to where I know I can win almost win every time. People will say the mechanics are clunky but its only because they don't know how to play. This is a very great game and I really hope it doesn't die because people pick it up and then suck and quit.

Le jeu sous VR possède un gameplay original, quoique le fameux "Die by The Sword" l'était également en son temps (de la souris). La possibilité de jouer dans l'arène avec d'autres joueurs possèdent ses avantages et ses inconvénients... on tombe souvent sur des trolls uniquement animés par le levelling et qui vont vous faire des moulinets avec le double axe/sword sans respect des règles du combat (en s'acharnant sur votre dépouille et poussant de petits cris de hyènes sodomites, après, c'est un peu le but aussi...)
Les décors peuvent paraître vieillots, le moteur 3D date un peu, mais on se laisse finalement transporter par l'ambiance médiévale du moment.
Lors des combats, il faut tenter également de comprendre (et transcender) le phénomène de blocage des armes (à l'entrechoc de ces derniers) sous peine de passer des secondes à taper dans le vide (virtuel) sans grand effet. Enfin, le jeu aurait grandement mérité des combats contre des PNJ... ou même une campagne solo, histoire de changer de l'arène, assez sportive sous VR, mais qui risque tout de même de lasser... à la longue.
It´s playable and i have much fun, but more when the weapons are better balanced. At time the weapons do not exactly follow the movements, too slowly,some of them also kink away. I use lower grafic settings but also the same. And the 180 degree settings don´t work in the battle. I like teleport more than walking. Perhaps it can be included. And the weapons would have to bounce harder when they collide for more real fighting. The hits had to show more resistance by bouncing the weapons. Visually the blood effect is good. The blocking and clashing of the weapons is only a little noticeable. And the time delay in the swing of the weapons still has to be corrected. Sound effects and music are great. Fights are
Battles are challenging and better than with bots in any case. But also exhausting, because full body use, but good. At time not all is working. The fight on a ship is terrible and not playable, because the weapon kink away all the time and the other challenger dissapears suddenly when i hit them.
Great game!!!! The only thing that i think needs to be fixed is that sometimes people move so fast that you cannot block their attacks because you will get bit before you even see them move, but other than that i think this game is fantastic and has a ton of potential. Well worth the buy!
Wow! What a fun game. This game is way more functional than I had expected. It has great graphics and mechanics, and probably the best melee combat I've experienced yet. Take it from someone who has been in SteamVR for more than a year now- this game is a lot of fun.
Be warned! It is a MAJOR workout if you want to be tactical! Also, I'm bringing my steamvr group over to the game so that should add quite a few players to play with.
Great game! I was a little concerned that it'd be difficult to make a good sword fighting game multiplayer... but, this has put my mind at ease. Of course, it's not "perfect" or anything, but it's a lot of fun. So far, it seems like a pretty good group on multiplayer as well. Can't wait to see the finished product. Totally recommend.
Why the hell is this still 25 dollars? No one is playing this game, at all. Drop the price 20 bucks and the game might actually become playable again. Previously had a positive review but the devs don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about this game lol
This game... is freaking AWESOME! It's Early Access and it shows, and could use some major improvements in some areas (sword physics or response time is a little goofy.) but it nonetheless is great fun.
Landing those awesome moves on another player is great, the weapons that I've unlocked so far are unique and feel very different and are all very fun.
Get this game if you have VR, and hey it doubles as a gym membership. I played for one hour and probably lost 6lbs in sweat alone.
Oh and stay away from THE POON DESTROYER. Trust me
Love this game, its a ton of fun. I have had some really close battles and so far joining fights has been very fast. This is a one on one pvp sword and shield fighting game. The rounds go by pretty fast there are tons of intense and funny moments in the combat and in the social tavern. For day one of EA, this game has an excellent foundation. There are definately problems but for this early of a release the game is solid. Highly reccomend.
Edit: Leaving the thumbs up, but this game is dead and it is very sad to see. I had so much fun but the price barrier on this game has kept way to many people out of it. If the developers would lower the price to around $5 this game could thrive, at the moment no one plays it. Ghost town VR. No matter how good the game is, only a thriving community can make a VR game a success.
Great game. Lots of customization stuff, weapons, shilds and other. You meet other players in some pub and go to 1vs1 duel, that's all, but it's really fun.

Early access review:
Really fun 1 vs. 1 medieval fighting game. It's physics based and I've had some fun tactical matches, and some really intense ones too. Graphics aren't bad, but not the greatest either, the gameplay is great though which is what matters most. It feels really satisfying to get the finishing blow in a close fight, especially if you're tied at 2-2 and have a close final round. Every fight I've had so far have felt different, people have really different playstyles, and different weapons, so you have to analyse and adapt when someone gives you trouble. Could give a more detailed review, but just want to recommend this game. As the game needs a playerbase to be succesful, and I look forward to many more fights in this game.
Fun Game. The sword play is both fluid and intuative in this early development stage.
Mad flailing will get your weapons tangled so be aware of your sheild in relation to your own sword
as well as your opponent's to minimize tracking delays due to ricochete and blocking.
I highly recomend this to any stick jock's or live steel fans out there.

My Impressions so far:
Graphics and Presentation are very nice.
1 vs 1 Multiplayer is working good.
The fights are a little bit chaotic. It needs some fine tuning.
This game has big potential and I'm looking forward to have more content.
PvE and Battles with more players would be fun.

I still enjoy the fighting. There are some funny guys around!
BUT: The fights are often too chaotic. For me it seems that "2-Hand weapon wild slashing" is overpowered.
Either cancel 2-Hand Weapon or decrease the damage when using 2 Weapons. Maybe a stamina-system might help to avoid wild slashing orgies. I enjoyed the strategic shield vs. shield battles more.
In the Tavern you should include some mini-games. Otherwise people won't wait, if there is no other player available and the game might die quick, what would be sad.
Anyway: Nice game! Keep up the good work!
It's good. Probably the funnest 1v1/Social/Multiplayer experience I've ever had in VR.
There's some rough edges but it's worth supporting and playing.
Pros:
-Become the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ poon slayer, master of taverns game-wide.
-Change up and customize your character and builds to defeat dasterdly foes
-Get in a gnarly drunk workout while rekting poonani with swords in the best melee online brawler(and really only) in VR yet
Cons:
-Not an official mechanic for becoming the tavern master.
In my short time, I've witnessed bar patrons molested, slain, and I've taken several players on tours of the map in deep introspection. This game is the tits.
I love this game but what would make it perfect is weapon physics like tales of glory, somthing that lags in rotation and wobbles alittlebit
Alright, in all seriousness this is precisely the type of game I've been waiting for. I'm going to try and be as objective as possible after having played a few rounds.
Is it worth it now? YES! It's a ton of fun, very invigorating and a fantastic start, but of course has some glaring issues.
PROS:
- Great graphics
- Honestly, it's a ton of fun, with a decent player base (as of right now).
- Decent physics over-all.
CONS:
- You move by swinging your arms which make moving and fighting very difficult if not outright silly. Needs more movement style ie) Onward.
- The physics for the weapons are too rubbery right now. When you swing fast you can see it trail behind you, it makes it feel very weird and impossible to land a precise attack most of the time.
- There needs to be some type of stamina penalty for people who just wildly swing in all directions.
- The spear is 100% OP. All one must do is twirl it around and good luck getting close to you. I beat 3x people until I played someone with the spear and it was literally impossible.
