Me ha gustado muchísimo esa mezcla de "terror" + puzzles. Tiene una atmósfera de los 90 increíble que me ha recordado a los mejores Resident Evil o Silent Hill, pero con una personalidad propia muy fresca.

Lo que más destaco es el diseño de los acertijos: están muy conseguidos y son súper satisfactorios de resolver. No me ha hecho falta en ningún momento mirar guías; con papel y boli al lado ha sido suficiente. Incluso para encontrar todos los secretos y entender los misterios de Crow Country, no he necesitado ayuda externa; solo ha hecho falta pararse a pensar un poco y reposar la información.

No es denso, los textos se leen rapido y es muy intuitivo.

Es un juego que respeta tu inteligencia y te sumerge de lleno en su parque temático abandonado. ¡Una experiencia redonda de principio a fin!

I absolutely loved the mix of "horror" + puzzles. It has an incredible 90s atmosphere that reminded me of the best Resident Evil or Silent Hill games, but with a very fresh personality of its own.

What stands out the most is the puzzle design: they are very well-crafted and super satisfying to solve. I didn't need to look up a guide at any point; just pen and paper by my side was enough. Even for finding all the secrets and uncovering the mysteries of Crow Country, I didn't need outside help—just a bit of thinking and letting the information sink in.

It's not dense at all; the dialogue and notes are quick to read, and the gameplay is very intuitive.

This is a game that respects your intelligence and fully immerses you in its abandoned theme park. A solid, well-rounded experience from start to finish!

Muy pero MUY weno el juego. Al inicio parte lento, y la verdad no me convenció tanto pero cuando ya uno lleva su una o dos horas dentro, se va poniendo cada vez más bueno, y ya al final uno queda súper atrapado tanto en la historia como en querer resolver todos los puzzles del juego (que por cierto, la historia es PEAK). Además, toda la ambientación a lo largo del mapa está súuuuuuper bien hecha

Lo único un poquitíiiiiin malo que le pillo es que hay demasiadas notas, cuando siento que en verdad no deberían haber taaaantas, pero si es verdad que varias de estas ayudan a setear todo el ambiente dentro del juego, por lo que realmente podría ser algo bueno dependiendo de cómo se vea.

En fin, tremenda joya oculta, 100% recomendado

I must admit, this game really caught my interest and pulled me in deep. The simple yet horrifying story that crow country tells feels familiar and yet brings a peerless sense of intrigue and adventure. Its a beautifully made game with many puzzles that felt well built and placed. Loved the character and the scenes and weapons. Gameplay felt almost like I was picking up an old, adored N64 game off the shelf. Highly recommend to those wanting a simple and gripping and cute horror story.

[h1] General Thoughts [/h1]
A pretty good game [i] and [/i] Survival Horror game. It is quite reminiscent of the likes of early Resident Evils ( I'd say most notably, RE1. But don't actively compare this game to RE, as there are just mere similarities between them. Make your own mind about the game ). And it plays its cards relatively well throughout its entire length which, speaking of, it's a little short. I'd say that the game will only take you like...5 hours at best, maybe 7 if you really struggle with some parts and refuse to look for a guide on YT or sum ( props for that ). But overall, it's a pretty just all around good game. And I'd say it can be a nice introduction to the Survival Horror genre ( in the odd case that you decide to go for this game as your first pick of the genre ).

[h1] Story, Overall Light-Moderate spoilers ahead. Depends on how you take it. [/h1]
Being honest, in my first playthrough the story felt quite...Dull. For some reason its themes and such didn't really click with me the right way the first time and it just constantly felt like every time you were going to reach the goalpost it kept getting moved 50 meters away and, most notably, the characters felt more like plot devices than actual characters ( the story only seemed to actually progress beyond (( [b][i]Light Spoiler[/i][/b] )) -> [spoiler] "the person you're trying to find screwed some stuff up." [/spoiler] After meeting with a new / existing character at different points of the story ).

But then..as I kept doing New Playthrough after New Playthrough...And kept being continuously exposed to the same "dull" story over and over again, I realized...There's actually a lot to the story. It's a story about accounting for your actions ( or being wary of the consequences of your actions ), letting go of the past ( to a lesser extent, but I think it's still kind of fits as theme ) and that maybe. just maybe, the future will be alright...or maybe, it won't.

The characters started feeling more like characters, too. Constantly interacting with them over and over made realize that there's actually a personality to each of them and that they go by their own struggles ( ...Well, there may be two or three characters that don't seem to have much of a inner struggle they have to tackle with, but that isn't a necessarily bad thing in this case ).

[h1] Gameplay / Difficulty [/h1]
As I said above, this game is pretty similar to early REs both on the way it functions and the way it plays out, but it still has its own unique gimmicks that make it stand out more as its own thing. As expected of this game genre, puzzles are around a lot of corners. Some of which honestly gave me a hard time ( mostly the [i] secret [/i] related ones ). Although, depending on your experience with these kind of games, the puzzles might feel a little underwhelming ( with there being ONE particular outlier, in my opinion ).

Horror wise, this games does the job quite well if you're a fan of Unsettling Horror rather than Startling Horror. Basically, the game's horror it's atmospheric based, not jumpscare based. There are [i] technically [/i] jumpscares here and there but definitely not on like, an FNAF type of level or anything. But yes, I'd say the atmosphere of the game does the job as feeling rather unsettling, and the enemy designs do and even better job at amplifying said unsettling feeling and I personally quite like that.

Difficulty wise...Similarly to the puzzles, if you're familiar with this kind of game then you might find the difficulty rather underwhelming. I'd say that, if you're familiar with this kind of game, going straight for the hardest difficulty isn't all too bad of an option but, to be fair at least in my first playthrough, I was put in a pinch quite a few times in the normal difficulty, but I never died once ( make of this what you will ) getting the hardest rank ( yes, there's ranks ) isn't...[i]Particularly[/i] hard I'd say(? You just need to have a handful of hours to spare ( not necessarily, but ideal if you want the S rank as the amount of times you save seems to have an effect ) and stay sharp. I'd say it's a 'chill / doable' experience in terms of 100%'ing.

[h3] Anyhow, I think that's all. I hope this has helped you in some way to settle your thoughts about the game. I'd personally recommend it, specially if it's on sale. If you give it time it can turn into a nice addition to your Survival Horror collection, or a nice first experience! Then again, everything is subjective, with games being no exception. If you like 90s-style horror games, you will almost definitely like this one. It captures the feeling of that era of games very well. The soundtrack is especially great. A bit on the short and easy side (on the default difficulty) but that's not a bad thing. It's exactly as long as it needs to be, in my opinion.

Это одна из лучших игр, в которые я когда либо играл.Из плюсов стоит выделить атмосферу. которая с каждым часом игры все больше нагнетает, отличнейший стиль старой доброй PS1, который я просто обожаю, и от которого теку, и, конечно же, головоломки.Несмотря на то, что я капец как часто тупил, и даже не редко прибегал к помощи интернета, решение этих задачек приносили мне удовольствие.Я рекомендую пройти этот инди шедевр каждому и прочувствовать все это на себе.Конечно, в ней есть и свои минусы по типу тупорылого управления на пк, которое даже изменить нельзя, но тем не менее я довольно быстро привык.Так же хочется выделить то, что сюжет и персонажи в этой игре не самые выдающиеся.Я понимаю, что игра ставила перед собой цели передать весь вайб старых резидентов со старыми механиками и задачками, но все же я считаю, что более сильное раскрытие этих двух составляющих сделали бы ее еще лучше, чем она есть.Тем не менее лично для меня игра 10/10.

Having completed the game fully, I unfortunately cannot recommend it. I'll start by saying that I think the music and graphics are nice and I found no issue with them. The tank controls feel good and the player character is suprisingly agile. I liked that.

What I didn't like is the rest. The puzzles are underwhelming: it often feels like the game either considers the player too dumb and drops the solution right away or isn't confident in their design and thinks noone would be able to solve them without guidance.

The story is full of holes and the characters aren't interesing. The dialogues felt like there was some inspiration taken from Silent Hill, but the end result is confusing and sometimes just schizophrenic.

The trap mechanics are something that really could've differentiated the game from other survival horrors, but instead turns to simple frustration. You could pass through a room that is completely empty, but later one it suddenly has traps. After seeing the entire story play out, it still makes no sense. They exist as an isolated gameplay element that sticks out in a bad way.

Only get it with a big discount.

Crow Country é uma experiência única, inesquecível e perfeita para aqueles que buscam jogos estilo resident evil e com gráficos retros. O jogo estabelece uma atmosfera macabra logo no início apenas com a entrada do parque, porque um lugar que deveria evocar um sentimento de alegria, estaria tão acabado e apenas passando uma sensação ruim.

Mencionei os gráficos anteriormente e quero aprofundar um pouco mais neles, porque foi por causa deles que decidi jogar o jogo. Me senti atraído aos gráficos desde que vi o trailer pela primeira vez, mesmo não tendo a idade para viver a era desses gráficos ainda senti uma nostalgia inexplicável, que havia apenas sentido com os jogos da puppet combo. Acho que por isso, logo após terminar o jogo e fazer o 100%, fui correndo atrás de mais jogos similares.

Achei a história do jogo incrível e muito bem feita, contada em grande parte através de documentos espalhados pelo parque, foi uma surpresa muito agradável ter que ir juntando as peças desse grande quebra cabeça para desvendar o que ocorreu nesse parque que o deixou tão acabado.

A soundtrack também gostei muito, e até entrou no meu top de OSTs favoritas, com instrumentos simples e efeitos bem equilibrados, tornam a soundtrack outro elemento que realça a nostalgia. Algumas trilhas que se destacam são: You Came Back, Maybe Everything Will Be Okay…, Beyond Forgiveness, The Heart of Crow Country e An Act of Mercy.

Nota: 10/10, fiz o 100% não me arrependo e faria novamente

Honestly one of THE BEST GAMES I have ever played in my life.

The game starts off with making you feel alone in an abandoned empty theme park with not many threats, but over time monsters and traps start to appear around every corner so you always have to be aware and make good use of your resources.

It did a great job at making me feel unsettled throughout the whole game with the monster designs and the audio such as the music and the noises the monsters make. The way they groan just freaked me out at times. Even the little things like the sea monsters singing and staring at you in Neptune's Palace was really unsettling.

This game is FULL of puzzles but are very enjoyable and rewarding once you figure them out. It's pretty much just figuring out what item goes where and most of the time you have to reread notes you find around the park to find where things are or to solve a puzzle.

I also really enjoyed the characters with their funny dialogue and the things they do. I got attached to a couple of them but the best character by far is obviously Mara. She's very witty, sarcastic, determined, and mysterious which makes her VERY likeable.

The plot twist at the end wasn't expected at all and came as a huge shock to me.

AMAZING story, AMAZING gameplay, and AMAZING characters. Only thing I hated about the game was that it ended, but atleast there's more to do after the game.

So overall 13/10 game, would recommend HEAVILY.

Esse jogo me fez perceber que ultimamente eu tô PÉSSIMO pra resolver puzzles.

Crow Country se inspira muito nos Resident Evil antigos, se tu é fã deles, então já coloca esse jogo na lista porque com certeza vai curtir também.
A ambientação é muito boa, os gráficos são agradáveis, mesmo sendo naquela estética meio PS1, ele não deixa a desejar. É um survival horror na sua maior essência, gerenciamento de munição, leva e traz de itens, vários puzzles e uma história deveras interessante.

Eu demorei pra me acostumar com essa mira livre, mas é um diferencial legal pra se ter. Tiros em certas partes do corpo dão mais dano, então se acertar a cabeça você acaba sendo recompensado, ou da pra fazer igual eu e perder altas munições ficando só na tentativa e erro.

Outro ponto negativo que eu ressaltaria é a quantidade EXTRATOSFÉRICA de armadilhas que vivem respawnando durante o jogo, o que deixa beeeeem chato a exploração, isso e os inimigos que ficam rastejando que sempre voltam de uma forma ou outra, chega uma hora que tu fica meio tiltado, mas nada que tire o brilho do jogo no geral.

If you ever had the itch to play a classic Resident Evil-like game, this is one of those games that would gladly help you.

The game's unique environment and witty banter are welcome surprises. I was expecting a standard "You're in a mansion, and you're a cop stopping some type of bio weapon storyline." This thing is giving off Silent Hill vibes.

Un buen juego que recomiendo que lo prueben, es cortito y con una estetica de la epoca de la ps1, la jugabilidad, ambiente, sonido, mecanicas que combina lo mejor de ambos mundos como lo serian el silent hill con resident evil. Tiene pocas variedad de enemigos que no representan un desafio pero se lo perdona, buenos puzzles que te haran desenpolvar el cerebro y te obliga a usar el 100% de tu capacidad cerebral y una buena historia. 11/10 goz.

The environments, the camera style, and especially the puzzles are the game's greatest strengths. Although you only have one map to play through, it is a very big one that doesn't overstay its welcome. Reading through notes to track down key puzzle items and where to put them felt rewarding, and there are secret upgrades you can find if you are being extra curious and checking every corner of the park.

Although the enemies look very terrifying and there can be a lot of them in one area, they are not super hard to deal with and you will be able to clear out entire rooms of them since resource management isn't pushed very hard. Whether you think that is a negative is up to you; the game just doesn't focus on the difficulty as much as it does the puzzles and exploration. It feels a little more challenging on hardcore difficulty since you stop getting resource handouts at vending machines, but even then you probably won't die very often.

Despite the difficulty issue, this is a genuine masterpiece, and it's one of the creepiest and most memorable games I've ever played. If you like survival horror and PS1 style graphics, this is a must play.

As basic as a "low poly"/"Retro" Survival Horror game can be, this really is something special. It doesnt rely on jumpscares or spooky music, more just the tension on what lies behind the next door or area you enter.

The puzzles are great too. Although some of them rely on numbers and memorization, so I reccomend you get a paper and pen, dont just write on your phone. It really makes the game more immersive.
The puzzles werent too hard that I had to look up a guide, wich alot of these games tend to make me do.

Its short, sweet and fun. Also appriciate how your choices ACTUALLY matter in this game.

it’s very easy and short for a survival horror game, but the level design, story, character writing, and overall charm more than make up for that lack of difficulty (on the default “survival horror” difficulty. i think i should replay on the harder one!). i highly recommend this game, as it stands toe to toe with other modern survival horror games in spite of its few flaws

There's something a bit playfully unconventional about how Crow Country approaches the usual beats of survival horror when compared to its contemporaries. Combat feels good without being overpowered, at least on the normal difficulty. The enemies aren't pushovers but they're not beating the player down either. There's just enough breathing room to think about the best approach to a situation. Speaking of thinking, the puzzles are fun to solve. They're all pretty good brain ticklers, although if I was to give some critique of the game sometimes the various hints the player can find spell out the solutions a bit too clearly. But it's not enough to be too much of a problem. And the setting of a theme park lends itself to game remaining visually interesting. The story is also captivating, I was invested in filling out the various blanks the story had and I found the characters to be enjoyable.

If you're someone who has been curious to give survival horror games a chance, I feel that Crow Country would make for a good starting point. Even if you're someone who doesn't like survival horror mechanics but would like a spooky puzzle game, I'd still recommend this as Crow Country has a difficulty option that removes combat entirely. And if you're a veteran of the genre, I still feel Crow Country would be a good time.

Crow Country is a surprisingly heartfelt and memorable survival horror title that stands out in a crowded genre. I didn’t expect to like this as much as I did, but it completely won me over with its clever story and a twist that genuinely lands. The mix of classic survival horror gameplay with a cute, almost disarming visual style shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does. As someone who only got into the survival horror genre back in 2022 with Signalis and the Resident Evil franchise, I was unsure if Crow Country would work for me, but it has earned its spot among the greats of indie survival horror.

The visuals speak for themselves; they are clearly inspired by the PS1 aesthetic, but enhanced with some real-time lighting. It uses 3D environments, with the camera at a fixed, rotatable angle. Because of this, I often missed items and only discovered them later while backtracking; it was engaging and taught me to be meticulous in my exploration. I enjoyed the musical tracks, and the save area theme especially sticks with me after playing.

Set in the abandoned “Crow Country” amusement park two years after an accident resulting in its closure, the game creates an atmosphere that is unsettling without being overbearingly scary. Crow Country is lighter on the visceral and psychological horror found in Resident Evil or Silent Hill, yet it still manages to tell a harrowing story. While the map is relatively small for the genre, it is incredibly dense and has plenty of secrets. The way the park’s areas link together and loop back on themselves rivals the RPD from Resident Evil 2.

I was not expecting to enjoy the aiming system, but I quickly got used to it and it works well for what it is. It helps that Crow Country is not very difficult; I almost always had extra healing items available, and the monsters are not particularly dangerous as their slow movement makes them easy to outmaneuver. In fact, I ended up taking the majority of my damage from hazards in the environment. Including hazards in this way was a great design decision, as they can be used strategically against the enemies or against you, if you are not careful.

The puzzles follow standard survival horror tropes, but they can become confusing when you encounter an obstacle without the necessary key items. It was not always clear if I was either missing a key item or overlooking a solution, which occasionally left me feeling directionless. Thankfully, the developers included a Fortune Teller machine that helps with the feeling of being lost, giving you hints to guide you to your next key item.

Despite my unfamiliarity with the classics of survival horror, Crow Country kept me fully invested through a second playthrough, and I intend to get every achievement. I would highly recommend Crow Country to any fan of the survival horror genre - it has quickly become one of my absolute favorites.

Crow Country, c’est la lettre d’amour que les années 90 méritaient.
L’ambiance est parfaite : ce parc d’attractions abandonné dégage une tension constante. L’esthétique PS1 assumée +++ elle sert l’atmosphère, elle renforce l’étrangeté.
Les énigmes sont bien dosées : jamais triviales, jamais absurdes. Le genre de logique qui te fait souffrir 10 minutes, puis claquer des doigts quand la solution arrive.
L’histoire, elle, déroule ses fils avec patience et te récompense si tu lis tout, explores tout.
Court mais dense. Honnête dans son ambition. Pépite d’or à l’horizon ✨

Pretty game, nice low-poly vibes, simple story that drips out like molasses. It's Resident Evil 2 if someone forgot to add the part where your heart rate goes above. More cozy puzzle sim than horror, but hey, maybe brain is fried with all the horror games over the years, and I still played it all the way through and didn't hate myself. Solid.

I enjoyed this game so much, it was spooky, funny, and had a really good story that was easy to follow along with even though a lot of it is told through notes. The vibes, artwork, soundtrack and sound design were absolutely amazing. The gameplay was retro but fairly polished, and the puzzles were not too difficult to figure out. If you enjoy games and gameplay similar to og Silent Hill or Resident Evil you would probably like this game.

Don't let the simple graphics fool you--everything about this game is wonderful. The story is mysterious and poetic, with great twists. The music is chilling and hypnotic. The dialogue is fun and revealing. The puzzles are clever and numerous. The enemies are gnarly and haunting. And to top it off, it's wrapped up in a short-and-sweet package, with a play time of around 5 hours to find all the secrets. It's a beautiful love letter to the classic horror genre. A must-play.

Amazing style, atmosphere, and good soundtrack! Made me feel like I was playing the OG Resident Evils again. Story was fairly decent, considering the genre. My only gripe that I never felt like I was desperately surviving. I never even died once, mostly because I could easily run around enemies to get to my next objective. I didn't have a reason to engage in combat as most of the monsters couldn't impede me or catch up to me. Little incentive to do so since they respawn an enemy in its place literally after you leave the area. Enemy design was cool, but I couldn't connect with how they go together thematically, even when the game explains it. All in all, super short game if you blaze through it. Game doesn't overstay its welcome, which is hard to say for more games.

- O jogo tem puzzles excessivos, me lembrou até Dino Crsis 1, acho que deveria ter menos e melhor elaborado, praticamente cada sala nova tem algo, seja códigos para abrir cofres, através das dicas do próprios arquivos você consegue desvendar, mas chega determinado momento que fica um saco.

- O Mapa desse jogo poderia ser muito melhor, digo a navegação do seu personagem em relação ao mapa, as vezes me perdia, para onde estava indo e acaba voltando, pois o mapa não mostra em tempo real onde exatamente você está, como ele não muda em relação ao personagem 3D, fica extremamente confuso.

- Chefes são muitos poucos no Jogo e os inimigos são poucos, mas dá para entender sobre a variedade por ser um jogo de baixo orçamento.

- O jogo fornece itens de cura e munições o tempo inteiro na maquina de bebidas, no qual tira um pouco do survival horror.

Très bon jeu qui réussit (pratiquement) à cocher toutes les cases. Rappelle fortement les vieux survival horror de l'époque. Les énigmes sont très bien réussies et s’implantent parfaitement dans le décor, au point de ne pas se rendre compte qu’on est sur une énigme à résoudre.

Dommage que le jeu soit aussi facile au niveau des combats et des ressources. Le fait que ta voiture ait littéralement des balles infinies à récupérer dans son coffre (??) est assez dommage, ce qui casse le côté survival horror pur qui te laisse habituellement en galère de munitions/soins. Mis à part ça, le sound design et les graphismes sont aussi très bien réussis, ce qui laisse une vraie vibe cohérente pendant toute l’aventure dans le parc d’attractions.

Sans parler de la protagoniste jouée (Mara) qui arrive bien à rajouter sa touche humoristique dans les dialogues et interactions du jeu.

Pour le prix, ce jeu en vaut largement la peine. Attendez-vous à 7-8h de jeu si vous prenez le temps en général et de tout faire sur la map.

Outstanding game, the kind where you wish there was more lore files.

Perfect balance of survival horror stress and chill atmospheric fun. You have to use your brain enough for the puzzles to be puzzles but they're not complicated enough to break your immersion while you look up what to do.

Combat is simple yet challenging, the method of aiming adds a lot of tension to each encounter without the game having to throw a bunch of overpowered hordes at you like other survival horror titles tend to do.

The story tied everything together but was not earth shattering. It kept me wanting to know more but didn't leave a massive mark.

This games best quality is its atmosphere by far. The look, sound, and feel of this game turn it into an unforgettable experience. I want more, I want more so badly. The vibe is immaculate.

It's a very good game reminiscent of old survival horror games.
I really liked the puzzles. They give you the option to use the notes scattered all over the game as your clues or solve them with context around the area.
The only thing I wished was a thing is the choices impacting something near the end, even if it was a small thing like extra dialogue. I still thought it was interesting though because I didn't initially take it on my first playthrough.
On a side note, I liked the rain a lot.

Idealized nostalgia. Feels like old survival horror games but has most of the annoying stuff those used to have removed. Graphics, atmosphere, sound, are all great. The default difficulty is quite easy. I don't know what things the higher difficulty changes but might be worth giving it a try.

An excellent Resident Evil style survival horror game that does a lot without overstaying its welcome. Plays a lot like the Resident Evil 1 remake, but it has its own atmosphere and gimmicks. Some folks might be bothered by the lower resolution this game runs in (it may be a filter, hard to tell), but it didn't give me any issues. One thing I particularly like about Crow Country compared to similar games is the variety it presents across most aspects of its mechanics. The weapons have fairly distinct properties, the puzzles are a good range of environmental awareness and logic problems, and the enemies have a nice variation of quirks to them. Furthermore, there's a bunch of optional puzzles to solve for various optional upgrades, which is always nice to see. The game also has a ranking system for completion which has its own rewards, and adds the equivalent of blue medallions to hunt down after the first playthrough. Overall a very well done survival horror game that isn't terribly long, but has a lot to offer.
