Найгірше, в що я грав останнім часом. Неймовірна духота. І це взагалі не про хардкорність, як би там хто не намагався запевнити у зворотньому. Це саме про духоту, коли ресурси не просто обмежені, а їх літералі немає. І в ситуації, коли на тебе вискакує декілька ворогів, ти просто вимушений бігати. Якщо це така "гра" - то в сраку такі ігри взагалі. Це про марно витрачені гроші, а не про ігри.

Cronos New Dawn comienza envuelto en misterio. Algo ha ocurrido con la humanidad, un brote, una catástrofe, pero el juego no te lo da todo mascado. Si prestas atención, exploras y lees, podrás adelantarte a los acontecimientos y entender qué está pasando antes de que te lo expliquen directamente. Y eso se agradece.

Bebe claramente de referentes como Dead Space o Resident Evil, no reinventa la rueda, pero consigue sentirse fresco y, sobre todo, muy disfrutable. Es de esos juegos que sabes lo que te van a ofrecer, y aún así lo hacen muy bien.

🎮 Sensaciones y jugabilidad

El movimiento es pesado, algo tosco incluso, muy en la línea de Dead Space. No es necesariamente malo, pero sí algo que se nota desde el principio. Donde sí flojea es en las físicas, no hay prácticamente destrucción del entorno, disparas a una lámpara no ocurre nada, golpeas un cristal y como si fuera una pared, disparas a cualquier objeto colgante y como si fuera de piedra maciza, caminas sobre barro.. como si fueras volando, y asi con cualquier objeto que debería tener físicas, simplemente no existen. Todo es más visual que interactivo.

El inventario, eso sí, me resultó bastante incómodo. Es excesivamente limitado y puede llegar a frustrar. Las armas y mejoras son simples, pero cumplen, permiten orientar tu estilo de juego sin complicarse demasiado.

La mecánica del salto gravitacional.. está ahí. No molesta, pero tampoco aporta nada especialmente interesante. Se siente como una oportunidad desaprovechada sinceramente.

Esto no es muy importante, pero en un juego donde la sangre, deformaciones humanas y desmembramientos están en cada esquina, me ha sorprendido que en algunas secciones hay esculturas clásicas reales, pero les han tapado los geniales como si fuera peor que todo lo demas, me pareció un poco absurdo y hasta cómico.

🌍 Apartado visual y ambientación
Gráficamente es brutal. De verdad. El nivel de detalle al principio incluso puede abrumar. Todo se desarrolla en Polonia, pero hay variedad de escenarios y ambientes suficientes como para que no se haga monótono.

Y sí, hay muchos gatos. Y son adorables. Esto suma puntos automáticamente. 🤗

📖 Historia
La historia me mantuvo enganchado. Tiene ese toque de misterio constante que te empuja a seguir jugando. No es revolucionaria, pero está bien llevada y cumple, sin florituras ni cliches.

⚙️ Rendimiento
Sorprendentemente sólido para usar Unreal Engine 5.
Con mi equipo (RX 9070 XT, Ryzen 5700X3D, 32GB RAM, NVMe 4TB, y monitor 3440x1440) pude jugar en ultra con FSR 4.1 en calidad alta + frame generation (ML), rondando los 120–144 FPS.
Podría estar mejor optimizado, pero es totalmente jugable y estable, y mucho mejor que otros títulos que usan el mismo motor mas antiguos (Oblivion remastered Ejem Ejem)

🔁 Rejugabilidad
Prácticamente nula. Es una experiencia bastante lineal que, una vez terminada, no invita demasiado a volver.

⭐ Conclusión
No es una obra maestra ni una revolución dentro del género, pero es un juego muy sólido, con una ambientación increíble y una experiencia muy disfrutable.

Nota: 7.5/10

👉 Si lo compras en oferta y te gustan los survival horror sci-fi, es una apuesta segura. No te vas a arrepentir.

TLDR (7/10) get this game on sale under 30 dollars , 20 or really good discount. It's a decent game if you are craving for more Action Survival horror type of games (Dead Space, Calisto Protocol) but does not live up to the other games of the same genre.

STORY
The game story is just average, if you are looking for Dead Space and Calisto like I think you will be disappointed. It initially hooked me during the free demo to want to find out more about the world, and through out the game I scavange for many audio logs and documents to read up on the lore. But by the end the payoff was not worth it and story seems to drag after awhile with scenarios like "Your princess is in another castle, go and search again" which they could have cut down. Still, I had my fun with it but I wish I could have paid lesser. [- $42]

Cronos: The New Dawn has one of the best atmospheres I have experienced in a horror game in years. The world is memorable, the sound design is excellent, and the boss fights are surprisingly strong.

Combat is a mix of good and bad, but the charged shots and torch mechanic give the game its own identity.

My biggest issue is the difficulty balance. Originally, the game only had the standard difficulty, Anvil of the Collective, and I think it was a bit too punishing for a first playthrough because ammo and resources felt extremely scarce. At times, it encouraged overly cautious play, backtracking, and reloading failed sections more than I would have liked. Now that Temporal Diver has been added, I would recommend that mode for most first-time players.

Another minor issue is that some cutscenes still cannot be skipped, which becomes annoying on repeat playthroughs.

Overall, I would give it an 8/10. It is not perfect, but if you care about atmosphere, it is absolutely worth playing.

I had a really good time with Cronos: The New Dawn. You can clearly feel the inspiration from Dead Space throughout the game, and honestly, it comes across less like imitation and more like a genuine love letter. It’s obvious the developers are fans, and they’ve done a great job capturing that same tense, atmospheric sci-fi horror vibe.

The lore especially stood out to me. The concept of the travellers is intriguing and adds a layer of mystery that kept me wanting to learn more as I progressed. It’s one of those elements that sticks with you even after you stop playing.

Gameplay-wise, if you enjoyed Dead Space 2, you’ll feel right at home here. The combat feels solid and satisfying, and the overall pacing works well for this style of game.

That said, it’s not perfect. Some of the fights—particularly with mini-bosses—can start to feel a bit repetitive over time, which slightly breaks the immersion. On the technical side, the game also suffers from some of the typical Unreal Engine 5 traversal stutters, and overall optimization feels a bit uneven. I experienced noticeable frame drops even in quieter moments where there wasn’t much going on.

What stood out more to me, though, is how demanding the game can be on the CPU. For a largely linear, corridor-based experience, I was surprised to see consistently high CPU usage. You’d normally expect the load to lean more heavily on the GPU in a game like this, but here it feels like the CPU is doing a lot of heavy lifting as well, which likely contributes to the inconsistent performance. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it is something that could definitely use further optimization.

This is still a strong experience and definitely worth playing if you’re into sci-fi horror. I’d absolutely be interested in seeing a sequel if the developers decide to expand on this world.

I loved it.

I'll admit I was a little underwhelmed in the first hour or two. The post apocalyptic setting isn't very visually interesting in the early areas - lots of murky grey fog, crumbling concrete and rusting metal. Nicely designed and incredibly detailed, but a little dull. And the enemies are a touch generic. Pulsating walls of flesh and deformed mutants that are warped imitations of humans are pretty old hat in the genre. But the initial plot setup is mysterious, the protagonist is cool, and the music is outstanding, which was enough to hook me and keep me playing. And the more I played, the more I enjoyed it.

It's a lot more "survival horror" than other titles in the genre, especially in the early game. Ammo is very scarce, enemies are fairly resilient, and both inventory space and the amount of crafting supplies you can carry are extremely limited. It starts off VERY slow, and although you become more powerful as you progress - collecting new weapons, unlocking upgrades, and gaining new abilities - the need to plan ahead and fight efficiently remains a thing all the way through to late game.

Exploration is also key. Scavenging all the supplies and upgrade currency you can get your hands on is crucial, and there are MANY nooks and crannies, just off the path, hiding large amounts of pickups. On that note, my one main piece of advice for this game is: once you get the bolt cutters, keep them with you for the rest of the game. You will continue to find uses for them, and they are worth the inventory slot.

The combat is relatively simple, but extremely tightly designed. There's no dodge or parry, so avoiding damage comes down to ideally stopping enemies before they reach you or, failing that, juking around them to buy a few seconds when they whiff their attacks. Charged shots are a brilliant little piece of combat design that both gives you a satisfying, skill-based method of stretching your ammo further while also adding tension as you try to keep the reticle on charging enemies. The flame thrower serves as a powerful panic button, stopping everything around you in it's tracks, but also a strategic tool used to incinerate the many bodies laying around to prevent enemies from absorbing them and becoming stronger. All the weapons feel pretty great, chunky and powerful. And although enemy variety isn't massive, there are enough that different weapons are slightly more or less effective in certain situations.

There is one touch that I particularly liked, which is the integrity scanner. A little green light on your gun that lights up when you point it at a corpse that is ACTUALLY an enemy playing dead. Entering a new room or hallway entails sweeping it with your weapon to ascertain whether there are any sleepers laying in wait, and when you find some you have to decide wither to shoot pre-emptively, getting the drop on them but waking them all up, or try to sneak by and save ammo and resources. Some will leap up to ambush you when you pick up an item or interact with something, others will only attack if you get too close, so choosing whether to try and bypass them is always a nice, tense little risk/reward calculation.

And I think the plot is great. It's not complicated, but it's engaging. I looked forward to finding memos and voice recordings, to gradually fill in my understanding of the events that lead to the apocalypse. And the larger story, including the twist, is also pretty straightforward. I saw some of it coming, some details surprised me. There are lingering questions that the game doesn't fully explain, which I think is a good thing. The writing and voice acting performances of the Traveler and the Warden are spectacular.

This game is a little more quirky in it's mechanics than something more standard like RE or Silent Hill, but I definitely recommend it, without reservation, to any survival horror fan that is game for a slightly tough experience and appreciates it's strange, slightly off-beat vibes.

Fun gameplay with an amazing atmosphere and stunning visuals.
It can be somewhat hard at times but that makes the game even more rewarding,
because you need to think in order to be able to deal with threats+use your environment.
Resource Management is a part of it, but resources aren't ridiculously sparse, so enjoy that
occaisonal grenade when you come across it and don't carry it around all game like I did >.<.

Cronos is a successfuly mixture of games like Dead Space, Resident Evil and The Evil Within.
You fight for the future of mankind by diving into the past trying to find answers.
The overall atmosphere is tense and threatening.
You walk through a destroyed city in Poland not knowing what happened to humanity.
Nearly every second you can be attacked by horrible creatures which also can evolve by consuming corpses and getting even stronger.
Getting rid of them takes different approaces not unlike Dead Space.
You have the possibility to stop their evolution altogether by using fire and burn the corpses of fallen enemies.
Ammo and items are rare and you have to keep an eye on your inventory space or you have to leave precious resources behind.
The system for upgrading weapons and your character works well and you really have to think about what is important for surviving.
The story is quite interesting imo, giving you sparse information via letters, voice recordings and cutscenes within the game of course.
The main character never gets the full picture of what happened which is very realistic and leaves you thinking about the game.
The fights are always a challenge and the bosses need some tries to get used to but in the end it´s always possible to succeed.
Sometimes there is some frustration, especially with the last boss fight, but after beating him I felt a great sense of success.

If you like good horror mixed with survival elements and an interesting futuristic story, get Cronos: The New Dawn!

I wouldn't recommend going into this hoping for more Dead Space. The game isn't as grounded as Dead Space and is far more illusive. It's a fun game that requires a bit of patience with the combat. Dark, mysterious settings with a cool bubble-headed main character. Worth taking a peek when half off, otherwise look up gameplay and combat first before jumping in at full price. 7/10

Gameplay: 10
Combat was good and similar to Dead Space series and modern Resident Evils. Good arsenal of weapons. Balance of difficulty done very good in general and quite harsh at the very beginning because of scarcity of ammunition and tough enemies. That gave a proper sense of danger, enough to fear some encounters. Tight inventory can be a bit annoying, but works good for the balance. All together it creates situations when a player need to decide between fight, run or even stealth.

Exploration is very interesting and intriguing, but also very rewarding, even if sometimes can lead to a trap. And on top of everything you can find, collect and pet cats!

Visuals: 9
Cannot say that the game is anyhow advanced or technological visually, optimization with RTX was also unbearable even for my PC, at least not with good and stable framerate. But the art and design are great, especially very good work with the light. Setting is also very unusual, mixing post-apocalyptic landscapes with Eastern Europe urbanism. Monsters are fancy, but models looks a bit dated. All together the picture is very atmospheric and looks great.

Sound: 10
Definitely one of the strongest sides of the game. From juicy gunfire, amazing music and very good voice acting till very fitting sounds of environment and cat meows. Even the safe room music evolving through the game, becoming more complex with every level.

Story: 9
Story intriguing from the moment of the awakening. Protagonist is very likable and it is very interesting to see her progress through the game. What also helps with the story and the immersion - the player knows pretty much the same as the protagonist. And the story itself filled with mystery and intensely hidden information, that rising questions all the way till the end. 9 only for the open ending, I personally prefer more defined endings. Also too many questions left unanswered. Hopefully we will get some answers in the next game in the franchise.

My personal GOTY of 2025. Got a lot of emotions of all kind through the playthrough. One of the most immersive experiences for me in gaming so far.

屎一样的模仿做，而且只模仿到了皮毛，哀哉，丧哉！
这里只说游戏硬伤，做购买建议！
1.游戏优化极差，光追就是一坨屎，没效果，而且极度耗费系统资源！
2.设定模糊不清，特别是帧数和垂直同步，以为很专业，其实就是浮夸！
3.游戏极度不平衡！这是绝对的大硬伤！（我当时玩的时候没有简单难度）游戏初期体力少，格子少，想拿个东西来回跑，弹药少，武器垃，导致在医院部分停尸房直接卡关，不开修改器你就死吧，没完没了，而且游戏场内没有难度微调，补给几乎没有，我玩你马勒戈壁！制作团队可以去吃屎了！
4.各种武器设计简直煞笔一样！升级困难不说，而且像什么连发手枪，连发散弹枪是在逗我么？脑残制作人知不知道这个游戏弹药少个可怜，还给我整连发武器？！煞笔设计，真是煞笔！敌人单一，打法枯燥，毫无技能，一堆烂枣！
5.不知所谓的剧情，难以言表的故事，本来穿越剧就很难原场，还非得挑那最难的触碰，结果毁誉参半，垃圾中的战斗机！

Atmosphere & Mechanics
The atmosphere is amazing. It keeps the tension high, but not so much that you can't enjoy the environment—it’s just the right amount.

The core idea of going back in time and seeing a place you just explored—either right before the shift went down or in the middle of it before it was ruins—is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cool.

Exploration: It is vital to sniff every corner. If you do, you’ll have enough ammo and energy to survive. Without thorough scavenging, you might have an issue.

Difficulty: On the normal release difficulty, it isn't hard at all for the first 75% of the game. It gets a bit cracked up toward the end, but it’s nothing crazy if you've been hoarding resources.

Story & Verdict
The story is great, and the ending is genuinely flabbergasting.

Technical Performance
The game runs flawlessly on a 32:9 Samsung G9 display. Using an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super on Ultra settings with Ray Tracing on and DLSS on Balanced, it holds a solid 60 FPS. No frame gen was used, and the performance is stable.

Скажу сразу, между сессиями лучше делать паузы, в ином случае, как это произошло со мной, происходит перенасыщение
Однозначно игру рекомендую, приятная боевая система, ресурсов всегда вот тютелька в тютельку, после замесов остается 1, 2 патрона. и это очень приятное ощущение.
Чем-то напоминает дед спейс.
Очень нравится мир и обстановка в квартирах

Однозначно рекомендую эту Игру.

Having delivered on steep expectations with the Silent Hill 2 Remake, Bloober Team follows up with a victory lapse in Cronos—a gorgeous showcase of sci-fi horror atmosphere in the vein of Resident Evil and Dead Space. Elevated by a dreary Eastern European setting fragmented to war and time, New Dawn is a game that steeps itself in unknowns, guiding you along a string of vague directives as you undertake an esoteric mission as "The Traveller" to "extract" those lost to a cataclysm which saw the populace mutated into infected horrors. It's a familiar sci-fi horror formula, with a more cerebral approach to its narrative, that managed to retain my investment well into its climactic, if somewhat muddled, final act.

High production horror titles tend toward action-heavy experiences; whereas, Cronos seems to understand the tight rope balance between true survival horror gameplay and a feeling of decisive agency. The game rewards precision, with enemy encounters that remain tense and incentivize the player to think, maneuver and mind their resources, especially given the scarcity of ammo in the early game. The base difficulty still feels very much accessible and punishing to a reasonable degree, as there was never really a moment where I felt my deaths were the result of the game's jank. There [I]were[/I] minor issues and instances of UE5 traversal stutter, but the majority of this seems to have been ironed out since launch for a (mostly) smooth experience. Also, you can pet cats. Честно говоря, мне по началу хотелось просто забить дыру из своего одиночества и найти игру в которую хотя бы не будет скучно играть. Начал я проходить данную игру в море и честно мне она не сильно понравилась. да и сфокусироваться на сюжете я нормально не мог, так как работал. Только спустя 3 месяца и моё возвращения домой, я с холодной головой полез играть в эту игру. Я понимаю, что характеристики моего ноутбуку не сверхъестественные, но всё же игра у меня шла хорошо в 2к разрешении. Сюжет захватывает и на него хочется больше уделять внимания. По этому, каждый раз когда я знал, что у меня не будет свободен весь день на игру, я отказывался от неё.Сюжет меня зацепил и если бы не мой брат, который взял и сказал главную завязку сюжета, то я бы припух от данной информации. Поворот сюжета действительно неожиданный, и в начале игры я даже не обращал внимания на главную героиню. Хоть и читал все записки и находил все записи, но намёка не было. ХОТЯЯЯЯ, если бы раньше знал про древнегреческого бога, всё встало на свои места. В-первое моё прохождение, я много залипал на пейзажи и последствия разрушения от эпидемии. Каждое ключевое сооружение было пропитано особым шармом того самого отчаяние от неизбежного, того чему ты не сможешь помешать. И так как это survival horror, то я хотел бы заметить, что игра очень долго разгоняется, перед тем как перейти в стадию - еби и убивай. Лично я только ближе к концу избавился от чувства тревоги. С хоррор составляющей я соглашусь, а вот с тем чтобы выживать, не очень. Каждый раз когда после битвы вы оставались практически без трусов, то вам обязательно восстанавливали до предыдущего накопленного добра. Ближе к середине игры поймал себя на этом чувстве, но хотелось бы заметить всё таки один раз патрон не было и действительно ситуация была патовая. Локация была "медицинский цент", в отделе "МОРГ", когда у нашей главной гг галлюцинации впервые реальны и дают нам пизды. РУКОПАШНЫЙ БОЙ ГОВНО. Игра мне понравилась, хоть и дала мне понять, что надо брать что-то более мощнее в плане железа. Всем советую для прохождения.

Good game I enjoyed and can recommend to others. Visual style, graphics quality, music, sounds, voice acting, story, gameplay mechanics. Optimization: separate "thanks" for a native Linux build! What makes this game run nicely even on a Steam Deck. And another separate thanks for a support of my language (even if just in text)! The price at USD ~35 in my region is quite adequate. Could've been a bit lower since the game length is average: not too long, but not too short either. But adequate, as for me.

If to complain, among major problems I can recall only crashes after few hours (say 4-5), even on a performant PC. Repetitiveness of the problem make it look like a memory leak. But I wasn't noticing gradual fps drops with time, so maybe it's not it. Or maybe performance of the PC just covered this symptom, and it's still it. No idea, I've been sending crash reports each time it was occurring in any case. Among minor problems, more of even "personal preferences", I can find an abundance of jump-scares. Which I understand are among favorite tools of this studio, but still I find them cheap (not the specifically this studio's execution of jump-scares, but overall jump-scares as a technic). I was hoping SH2 Remake to teach them how to weave in environmental horror. But, sadly, it seemingly didn't. And also I was really eager to play with Polish voice acting. An environment is screaming in Polish (not only because of writings -- that's on the surface) -- I notice that well because I grew up in it too. I was playing in Polish (text) to (1) see your original idea, (2) text fit environment, (3) boost my Polish language learning. And Polish voice acting would be really great to have in this game for the same set of reasons. But there's no such option, sadly.

P.S. I know developers (community managers most likely, to be precise) rarely dive into Steam comments, but, heh, not like it costs me something: do you hire people from outside the gamedev sector? I'd gladly try to join you, if you end up finding any use of me in your studio. But in any case -- you have made a good game, thank you! Or... I mean... dziękuję!

I give if a 9/10 An original story with a non original idea. i seen alot of similarity in art to games like last of us and such. the story is very new and i enjoyed it. in a nutshell it's time travel with zombie mutations and with a female protagonist. the time travelers are basically clones basically like blade runner meets ghost in the shell. the time travelers i say they're clones because they can still die and bleed. i say ghost in the shell because as you can see in the start of the game they're programmed but with a human mind which is just strange. This is why i say it's blade runner meets ghost in the shell. the story line is good and doesn't contradict itself. the only gripe i seem to hear from others is that it's very difficult but i say play it on easy to enjoy the story line and play again with newgame+ it allows you to keep your upgrades which is a huge boost. beating the game with new game+ also unlock another ending which is another bonus. I would like some more unlockables for beating the game with different ranks, similar to resident evil. I would love to see a cronos 2 just to answer some of my personal questions like whats up with the cats? i feel there is a hidden answer to that and i want to see it in a new game along wtih where this all really started. (spoilers ahead so stop reading now) who created the relics and the machine that has the collective on it. What really started the change? I know when you travel back to the past you bring it there. I want to know who was really patient zero or is it created by actual time travel and thats why veronica gets instantly hit with mega aids change. i want to play from the perspective of the other travelers. I want to see if we can play as the warden in a part 2 and finally fix it.

不错不错有感觉了，就是怪太肉了吧，而且攻击速度太慢了吧,背包格子太少，一个火焰弹，一个火雷，一个工具，两把枪，再捡点任务道具，贵重物品，那子弹还要不要，回血要不要。
又玩了两天，引导真的太差，有些地方转点转任务的时候不知道去哪。

Very much feels like a Bloober Team branded Dead Space game, which in turn had some cues taken from Resident Evil 4.

I quite enjoy the resource scarcity, the urgent need to upgrade your player character, the overall difficulty of the game in its default state. The most recent survival horror standouts have been arguably getting easier and easier, so it's nice to get something that isn't overly afraid about feeling at least a little unfair.

The visuals are gorgeous as well, I really enjoy that spacesuit aesthetic, with the enigmatic, retro-apocalyptic setting it paints. So refreshing to be dropped into a game with minimal preamble, just some text and a short cutscene and you're in. The rest unfolds slowly as you play.

Надзвичайно атмосферний та цікавий survival-horror в сеттингу пост-радянської Польщі, посипаний науковою-фантастикою, подорожами в часі та body-horror-ом.

Як не дивно, механіка злиття ворогім абсолютно не притягнута за вуха і це те, за чим потрібно слідкувати навіть під час напружених битв із "байстрюками", якщо ви хочете вижити.

Попри вибір Unreal Engine як рушія, я зіткнувся з лише одним некритичним та досить складно-контрольованим багом, а також не помітив якихось проблем із продуктивності. Анріаловські статтери на підвантаженні асетів чи рівнів, звісно, були присутні, але вкрай рідко (із ремейком Dead Space я порівняти не можу :D).

Сподіваюся, що Bloober Team подарують нам сиквел, який буде грамотно розвивати ідеї оригіналу. Адже потенціал є і неабиякий.

Щиро рекомендую фанатам цього жанру ігор та наукової-фантастики і жахів вцілому. Придбав майже на релізі та пройшов із великим задоволенням.

Amazing atmosphere and design, but the combat just feels slow and not really that fun for me.

Shooting enemies is like really really slow, even if u crank up the sensitivity to the highest it still feels slow.

The game runs at an unstable 30fps with minimum graphics settings on my pc.

Other than that, I loved the atmosphere and the character design of the game, you should definitely give it a try urself and see if u like it though.

Вполне не плохая игра в жанре сурвайвл хоррор, такой идейный последователь дед спейса.

1. Сюжетно игра относительно интересна, но минус в том, что вся информация в основном в записках, а в катсценах все говорят обобщено и без конкретики. Еще бы пожаловался бы на выборы в диалогах, они никакой роли не играют, это раз, плюс во всех катсценах где есть выбор, нельзя саму катсцену пропустить, ладно при первом прохождении, там все таки стоит ее просмотреть, но при повторных это мягко говоря раздражает, могли бы хотя бы встроить промотку.
2. Графически выглядит примерно на уровне ремейка дед спейса 1, атмосферно, стиль выдержан на всю игру. Оптимизация странная, вроде идет вполне нормально при макс настройках и фср4 на качестве при 3440х1440, но иногда при каких то подгрузках происходят статтеры, причем играл еще параллельно на ноуте, там такого нет(ртх4060+i5 13500h+32gb на фуллхд с длсс на качестве), но там я играл без вкл рейтресинга, может на амуде плохо оптимизировали рт и поэтому такие проблемы были, мне не критично, но факт.
3. Геймлейно это плюс минус солянка дед спейса и резиков. Игра не сложная на нормале, особенно если все пылесосить, поэтому и проблем с расходниками не испытывал, но инвентарь маловат даже в полной прокачке. Боевой арсенал не велик, но по мне вполне достаточен в том виде что есть. Врагов в игре относительно достаточно в данном сеттинге, боссы есть, не сложные. Сказать то больше и нечего, особо ничего и не раздражало, но и какого то вау эффекта не было.

В общем, подытожив, игра лично мне понравилась, ничего от нее не ждал, понравилась чисто по визуалу, по итогу получил крепкий такой хороший игровой продукт на баллов 7.5.

Very good survival horror, thick with atmosphere and mystery. The standard difficulty is quite punishing but manageable. Though I ended up restarting with the "easy mode" that was released later. I wanted a more chilll way of experiencing the game world and excellent story. Heartily recommended for fans of Dead Space or Resident Evil

1. this is survival horror, but the combat is what 90% of the game is based on, it is very one-sided, the enemies are stupidly the same, after 3 hours of playing you understand that you will not see anything new. even the animation of the death of the main character was not added like in Dead space.
2. the plot - it is not here.
3. There are no unique mechanics that can be used, the game contains so-called anomalies, you could create very high-quality puzzles based on this theme, but no, they are just there and that's it.
4. The atmosphere of the game - choosing a certain Poland from the Soviet era for the plot of such a game was a big mistake, disposable buildings and locations, in general in 2026 I think using the architecture of that time is generally terrible. The plot of the game could have been written in any era, any country, nothing would have changed.
5. The plot - I played for 7 hours, and during this time they didn't tell me anything at all about what was happening in the game, you see, here are some people who got infected, go kill them, why, what is the goal, etc., 0 information, although remotely, I'm just tired of walking around and killing the same enemies.
6. Again, the combat system is what 90% of the gameplay is based on. Shoot, dodge, repel and set fire to everything, the combat part is finished, absolutely no new ideas.
Final verdict: if you want to play a quality survival horror, download Dead space, it is the standard of quality of survival horrors, but the difference is that there is a 15-year difference between these games.
I would like to thank the developers separately for the Ukrainian localization.

WTF Bro? The game crashes to desktop (CTD) every time I launch it. It's a UE5 engine crash with a shader-related error. I've tried updating my GPU drivers and reinstalling the game, but nothing fixes it. I haven't encountered this issue with any other game, so what is going on with this one? Does an i7-13700K paired with a 4070 Ti mean I'm not good enough to play your game?

通关改成好评，但是闪退问题仍然严重，第一次进游戏一编译着色器就闪退，我顶着十几次闪退硬是把着色器编译完，后面再进游戏就好很多了，但还是有一次闪退以后怎么都进不了游戏，一开就闪退，重启电脑才行

Unfortunately, this is the weakest part of the game.

The game feels artificially complicated due to tight inventory limits, scarce ammo, and limited resources.

You play as a Traveler — an entity in heavy armor. Travelers clearly understand their enemy, yet the “system” only provides you with a pistol. This is done to create tension and difficulty, but it feels like poor design. Logically, such advanced beings should start with something like a flamethrower, which would effectively deal with abominations. Instead, fire — the most effective weapon — is limited to small capsules, and outposts dispense only one at a time. This often leads to frustrating gameplay loops where you burn enemies (to prevent merging) and repeatedly return to the outpost for more fire.

Weapon variants are implemented oddly: the pistol and its alternative fire mode are treated as separate weapons with their own upgrades. The same applies to other weapon types. In one playthrough, I managed to max out only 2 out of 7 weapons, despite thoroughly exploring and grinding for resources.

The protagonist’s accuracy, even after multiple upgrades, leaves much to be desired.

There are also inconsistencies: some “zombie” bodies lying on the ground cannot be dismembered, while enemies killed during combat can be. Similarly, some enemies burn automatically upon death, while others remain intact and can be reused for merging. These inconsistencies break immersion.

There is no shoulder swap — a basic feature that should be standard in third-person games with an offset camera. This is simply poor design.

The ammo economy is not well thought out. Even if we accept the scarcity of resources, the game doesn’t respect the player’s weapon choice. If you prefer using only a handgun, enemies and containers still drop ammo for other weapons you don’t carry. Ideally, the game should prioritize dropping ammo for the weapon currently in use. The only exception could be rare ammo for late-game weapons. In my playthrough, I never even used the final weapon.

Melee combat and stomping are weak. While there is a potential upgrade later in the game, I do not recommend relying on melee at all.[/h2]

This game deserves all the accolades within its genre; it’s on par with ANY horror game on the market in terms of quality—it just has a few drawbacks, like any other game.

Cronos: The New Dawn requires top-of-the-line hardware if you want to unlock its full graphical potential. It’s resource-intensive and poorly optimized.
Another flaw is that it has a slow and VERY linear start, but if you stick with it—that is, if you can get past that weak beginning—the doors to bliss will open, and Cronos: The New Dawn will stay with you forever.

The true and more than worthy spiritual successor to Dead Space, surpassing it in many ways. Cronos: The New Dawn has arguably the best story in horror games, rivaling Silent Hill 2—which, by the way, received a flawless remake by the same company.

So, in short, make sure you have a good PC, play for a few hours until the game “opens up,” and then enjoy a deep story, gameplay with diverse approaches, a variety of weapons, plenty of action, and top-notch horror. This game is that kind of rare gem that went unnoticed, an exquisite game that didn’t receive the attention it deserved.

Outro defeito é possuir um começo lento e MUITO linear, mas se vc seguir em frente, ou seja, aguentar esse começo fraco, as portas da felicidade se abrirão e Cronos: The New Dawn ficará em sua memória para sempre.

O verdadeiro e mais que digno sucessor espiritual do Dead Space, em vários aspectos o superando. Cronos: The New Dawn tem possivelmente a melhor história de jogos de terror, fazendo frente a Silent Hill 2, que a propósito teve seu remake, que é impecável, feito pela mesma empresa.

Então em suma, possua um bom PC, jogue por algumas horas até que o game se "abra" e assim aproveite uma história impecável, jogabilidade com diversas abordagens, variedade de armas, muita ação e terro de primeira linha. Definitiv eine Empfehlung für alle, die Dead Space mögen und kein Problem mit hoher Schwierigkeit haben.
Die Story wird zwar gegen Ende sehr verwirrend, man kann aber mitkommen und gerade die Plottwists gegen Ende funktionieren einfach perfekt.
Das Gameplay im Generellen ist vielleicht nicht für jeden was, passt aber sehr gut zum allgemeinen Charakter des Spiels.

Story riddled with clichés.

I played this on a controller. I stopped being invested in this game when I had to run back and forth to pick up flamethrower ammo to preserve my regular ammo.

I can only recommend this on a discount and with mods.

🎨 Graphics & Visuals
The game looks solid, especially at the beginning. You can clearly see the Dead Space influence with that dark, industrial sci-fi vibe. Everything feels heavy and immersive at first. But as you get further in, it kind of loses that strong identity and starts to feel a bit all over the place.

🎮 Gameplay
This is basically a mix of a few different games:
You’ve got limited inventory like Resident Evil, so you actually have to think about what you carry
Enemies feel like a mix of Dead Space and Prey (2017) creepy, unpredictable, and a bit weird in a good way
There’s a time manipulation system, which sounds cool, but honestly it doesn’t feel fully developed
There’s also crafting, but it’s pretty basic and doesn’t really evolve much

🧠 Story
The game starts off interesting, but midway through it kind of loses direction. It feels like the devs kept adding new ideas without really deciding what the game is supposed to be. Because of that, the story and overall experience start to feel messy.

🔊 Audio & Atmosphere
Early on, the atmosphere is actually really good. It has that tense, survival horror feel that pulls you in. But later, with all the extra systems and ideas being thrown in, that tight atmosphere starts to fade.

You get safe zones, which honestly work pretty well. In these areas you can:
Upgrade your core and weapons
Buy and sell items (very Dead Space-style)

Un juego difícil, exigente, en algunos tramos desesperante (algunos jefes finales), pero que te da muy buenos momentos. La historia es interesante, oscura, deja mucho a tu propia interpretación. В целом игра норм, DLSS 4.5M делает ее четкой в 4к, есть HDR, трассировка лучей, звук Dolby Atmos, поддержка адаптивных триггеров DualSence. Оптимизация наверное средняя, но у меня идет нормально DLSS 4.5 +MFG.
Не хватает динамики мира, ветра, частиц, движения деревьев, иногда ощущение что ходишь по мертвым декорациям.

Overall, the game is fine. DLSS 4.5M makes it crisp in 4K, there's HDR, ray tracing, Dolby Atmos sound, and DualSence adaptive trigger support. Optimization is probably average, but I'm running DLSS 4.5 +MFG fine.
The world dynamics, wind, particles, and tree movement are lacking; sometimes it feels like I'm walking through a dead set.

・ストーリーが難解で良く理解出来なかった。
　翻訳テキスト自体は悪くない。
・反重力のシーンでは移動先が解り難い。
　デッドスペースと比較すると、ロケーターが使い難い
・一部称号の入手条件のハードルが高すぎる
　特にエクストラクション関係。
・特に読み物系のUIが大分ダサくてイケてない…
・敵のアイテムドロップが運ゲーぽいのでムラが激しい

▼その他
バトル関係は基本的に不満無いです!
その場のオブジェクトを上手く利用して効率的に戦わないと
リソースがカツカツで苦しく、ヒリついた戦闘を楽しめます。
ただ、主人公のアーマーが完全耐熱と謳っておきながら、
似たデザインの爆薬を殴ると、被弾してしまうのはちょっと理不尽に感じました。
欲を言えば、重力ブーツや環境を復元する?ビームをデッドスペースの様に
戦闘にも使えるようになっていれば、尚面白かったかもしれません。
気になる点も複数ありますが、特に死んだクリーチャーが合体するのはとても良いシステムだと思うので、
次回作が出たら?と聞かれたら迷わず購入すると思います。

Cronos: The New Dawn es un survival horror que, en mi opinión, no aporta nada nuevo al género, con una historia difícil de seguir que no termina de enganchar al jugador y un personaje principal con el que no desarrollas ningún vínculo emocional durante toda la aventura.

Resulta un intento de Dead Space, pero mucho peor. El diseño de los enemigos hace que los infectados se parezcan a una versión inferior de los necromorfos y ni siquiera cuenten con mecánicas como las amputaciones. Aun así, este juego premia mucho la exploración y te ofrece abundantes recursos. Además, en muchas ocasiones tendrán que utilizar el entorno para eliminar hordas de enemigos.

Aunque la progresión del juego es lineal, sí permite cierta exploración para buscar recursos. También hay "zonas seguras", donde puedes guardar la partida, almacenar tus recursos y gestionar mejoras. Estas mejoras se logran mediante la energía que vas acumulando a lo largo del juego; por eso, la exploración es vital. Algunas mejoras requieren "núcleos" que se consiguen acariciando gatos, sí, como lo oyes, o escondidos en el mapa.

Otro problema es que hay demasiadas armas para el poco uso que se les da en la práctica. Al final, terminarás utilizando dos o tres de las principales durante todo el juego. En mi opinión, se echaron en falta algunas mecánicas básicas que habrían hecho la jugabilidad más dinámica , como un botón para esquivar, saltar o simplemente correr. Aunque es posible esquivar a los enemigos andando, resulta un poco tosco. El combate deja mucho que desear y no resulta nada satisfactorio. Muchas veces se vuelve complicado por la escasez de munición o por una mecánica del juego: los infectados absorben otros cadáveres que no hayas quemado y se vuelven más fuertes. Pero la manera de derrotar a los enemigos siempre es la misma: utilizando el entorno y disparándoles.

En conclusión, Cronos: The New Dawn es un survival horror que no logra transmitir verdadero miedo ni siquiera esa sensación constante de tensión. Se vuelve repetitivo con rapidez y, aunque la gestión de recursos está bien planteada, es prácticamente lo único que realmente se siente del propio género.

overall good game, very pleasant re2-type experience, just with Bloober-jank on top which i find just funny and hilarious at this point. pleasant shooting, interesting environments (though it's probably a much more enjoyable for people who did not grow up in post-soviet countries), not a whole lot of enemy variety. unfortunately the whole idea of extracting people and living with them in your head is very under-developed, i kept forgetting about it until the next time i get to swap the essence.
one major gripe for me with the game is its length - it certainly overstayed its welcome for me. once you get the boots and try them out - you tasted everything the game has to offer mechanically, but it just keeps dragging for 5-6 more hours for no reason other than very straightforward plot.

what i enjoy most from this game is that it shows how fast Bloober team is actually growing. yes, there's still a ton of jank, but the progress compared to SH2 is tremendous. so kudos to the team!

Excellent game with some pretty tense and creepy moments. A story involving time travel will always be confusing however I felt the story kinda fizzled out in the end - had to read a few explanations to figure out what actually happens.

The game kept crashing at the ascendance cut scenes on 3850x1600, reducing the resolution fixed it. Strange.

Bloober team proved with this title they can make a solid action horror game of their own, without being tied to the nostalgia of titles like Silent Hill 2. It isn't the best game in the genre, but after looking past some of its jankiness it's a pretty solid game. It's no Dead Space, but most games aren't. Cronos New Dawn combines elements from many previous games in the genre into an experience that feels new yet familiar.

The gameplay gimmick from all Dead Space successors is there - in Cronos the trick is to prevent enemies from merging with other dead enemies to prevent them from becoming more powerful. Inventory management combines space restrictions from Resident Evil with a real time system from Dead Space or RE5, requiring players to keep quest items in their inventory and strategically manage ammo and healing items. Crafting - a mainstay of the survival/action horror genre ever since RE3 - works like RE7, 8 or 9 but there is also a shop and upgrade system similar to Dead Space.

Puzzles aren't really a thing in this game and have been replaced by a modern system that's in Dead Space, RE4 - 9 or other modern action horror games where the "puzzle" is to follow a linear path towards one or more items that unlock progression. But there are a few puzzles similar to traditional Resident Evil or Silent Hill. Additionally, the game often requires (in the later third) creating an electric link between generators and control panels that is its own minigame.

Enemies are strong even without merging, but there isn't a large variety of enemy types. Horror game fans will be familiar with everything this game has to offer in combat - there are bosses straight out of Resident Evil 5 and Dead Space and then the game builds on those by adding more abilities to certain bosses each time you face them.

Once again, like other games, Cronos also has combat mechanics for crowd control as well as handling defense emergencies. Similar to the survival knife in RE remake, flashbangs or grenades in RE2 remake or the knives in RE9, there are weapons that are important for escaping emergencies. Those mechanics are also occasionally used to access secret areas.

The environment can be kind of uninspired given it takes place in what feels like a Soviet Poland, but once gravity mechanics are introduced the outside areas are interesting. The sound design is on par with Dead Space and like most modern horror games, it again borrows design from so many games before it like Half-Life or RE or other horror games with flashes of psychological horror, hallucinations, chase sequences, and more.

New Dawns biggest flaw is its UI. The interface is flat out boring and feels - very disappointingly - like a pre-packaged Unreal Engine UI you would find in a game like The Killing Antidote or any of a dozen other Unreal Engine games often made by a single person. It simply doesn't have any uniqueness or character to it. All of the menus are boring and it feels like they could have done better.

The story isn't anything exceptional but it does do an interesting take on time travel tropes. There are also multiple endings and a decent amount of lore to get immersed in.

Hopefully Bloober will revisit the action horror genre again in the future. This game definitely won't get a sequel but they've proven they're capable.

Dead Space + Half-Life:Alyx + Resident Evil could be a good idea but sadly its Gameplay Elements somehow manages to be worse than the sum of its parts.

If you haven't played Dead Space yet this game might be for you. But the combat is way worse due to the weapons lacking firepower and missing the "cutter" functionality from Dead Space.

I'm early in the game but I doubt that it will reach the finesse of managing inventory and items of a later Resident Evil title, let alone the perfect pacing and combat of Half Life: Alyx!

- Lots of back and forth due to forced iventory shortage.
- unnecessary overly scarce ammo
- rushing enemies with no stopping power and clunky character often feels unfair
- Had 2 crashes.

Cronos shines when atmospheric sounds and graphics come together but sadly nothing innovative here. SOMA on the other hand was on a whole other level.

If you are new to videogames and have not played the above, it might be for you.

I don't know if anyone will read this but after finishing Cronos I wanted to do a review. I'm not going to go super in-depth but I would give this game a 9/10, great sound track, visuals, story and atmosphere. A lot of people compare this to dead space and I do see some similarities but the number 1 game that comes to mind when comparing to Cronos is "singularity" its a heavily underrated game from 2010 it flew under the radar because RDR came out a few weeks before it. It featured the traversing time aspect to understand the past to save the future and a lot of elements in Cronos reminded me of that game. There is some dead space and resident evil elements as well that played to the strength of this game and overall enjoyable experience. I know some people complained about the inventory limitations but I really didn't have a problem with it, personally I think it just came down to people that ill experienced with managing resources and aren't used to playing games where scarcity dictates how you perceive each engagement. I definitely recommend Cronos, there were more parts in this game that managed to scare me then I believe in any other horror game I played.

Сюжет про то, как вы приземляетесь на кораблике в неизвестную точку, вы "человек" что должна найти то, что поспособствовало заражению целой Польши, а возможно и всего мира остального тоже, дабы спасти человечество(я это так понял)

Из плюсов: оптимизация, даже на steam deck офигенной идёт не смотря на unrel 5, не плохой геймплей, классная музыка, интригующий сюжет.
Из минусов: пока не нашёл, пройду игру, обзор обновлю:)
