Reminds me of Flash games I used to play on Newgrounds. It's the obviously unapproved celebrity cameos. You usually only see that kind of thing in the lawlessness of web games. Those moments were hilarious and it kinda leans on them a bit hard but yeah. Got it on sale and no regrets.

El juego en sí parece una rave en plena noche, haciendo precisamente una parodia de estos entornos. A menudo hay referencias a distintos personajes conocidos, resultando muy humorístico a la vez de ambiguo, ya que mezclándolo con la complicada historia resulta en algo único. A pesar de ello, los capítulos son cortitos y te consiguen transportar a distintos paisajes en poco tiempo, pero dejándose muchos cabos sueltos sin resolver. Para ser un juego en proceso está genial, espero que no modifiquen el estilo.

The game leans heavily on pseudo-profound symbolism that hints at deeper meaning but ultimately feels incoherent. Not to say that there isn’t any meaning to be found in the game, but the symbolism is loose, and throughout the game depth is implied but rarely developed. With multiple endings, rather than getting some sense of resolution or better understanding, you’re just left more confused. The art is cool though, I guess.

一部噱头成分居多的作品。

优点是1-bit 黑白抖动/网点像素风和CRT美学，以及整体文本、叙事呈现的迷幻、超现实风格；其它部分都非常一般。剧情基本可以当作没有，说好听是超现实，说难听点就是毫无逻辑，进展跳脱；解密也基本是单纯的一本道，只有少数几个地方安排了场景谜题，整体更偏向4399点击类小游戏。

除非对这种超现实主义风格完全没有抵抗力，否则不建议购买，尤其是追求剧情/解密推理的玩家。

看在价格不高的份上还是不给差评了，但从打开游戏到通关后，我的感觉就是度过了情绪毫无波动的俩小时，看部电影都更有趣些

Была бы возможность - я бы поставил нейтральную оценку, но раз уж выбор между "рекомендую/не рекомендую"...

У игры довольно интересный визуал, да и саундтрек подобран довольно неплохой (внезапный пост-панк позабавил). Ну и русификация здесь довольно качественная.

Игра любит философствовать на всякие темы, но проблема в том, что несмотря на бесконечный заумный трёп, у неё нет цельного сюжета. Этот сборник эпизодов (а в игре их пять) скорее ощущается как беседа двух изрядно накидавшихся людей, которые вроде как говорят друг с другом, рассуждают на какие-то "высокие" темы, но при этом не слушают собеседника, а потому просто прыгают с темы на тему. Да и де-факто последний эпизод ощущается так, будто игра просто обрывается на середине.

Если хочется бездумно потыкаться в визуальную новеллу с сюрным видеорядом под триповое музыкальное сопровождение, приправленную Пелевиным по скидке и разбавленную несколькими средней паршивости головоломками, то можно и взять на распродаже, и даже получить какое-то удовольствие. Но невнятная жижа вместо повествования лично меня вынуждает сказать, что продукт скорее уж на любителя.

Critters for Sale is an incredibly unique experience — there’s really nothing quite like it.

The game is divided into five short stories, and each one feels distinct, impactful, and memorable in its own way. The strong vaporwave influence gives it a very distinctive atmosphere.

The concepts presented in the game stick with you for a long time — even months after finishing it, I still find myself thinking about it.

Highly recommended. One of my all-time favorites.

крутая визуалка для нетакусиков. очень похоже на творчество выше упомянутого пелевина, а также мои любимые who's lila и psychopomp. не совсем понятно, зачем сделали какой-то фильтр и синтезатор голоса, доступный только после прохождения на все концовки (также, как и, например, непонятно, зачем в psychopomp gold добавили вид от третьего лица, доступный только после прохождения игры). ну и музло реально крутое. в общем, мне зашло.
для полного прохождения игры пришлось пользоваться гайдами, т.к. не всегда бывает понятно, что нужно делать. например, не понятно, как расставлять метки на глобусе (скорее всего, это местоположения главных героев в каждой истории) или в "драконе" не понятно, что вводить для получения второго талисмана (там где четыре слова ввести: я нашёл набор слов, но как я должен был их выбрать, не понятно).

I love everything about this game. It's super ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird, strange, and doesn't tell you much. You have to piece together the story, which is...surreal is really all I can say without really big spoilers. It's not a long game, probably 2-3 hours to do the whole thing, 4 to get all the endings, but most of the side endings are pointless. Just go play it, ESPECIALLY if you're a Death Grips fan, the "Goat" episode is the hardest I've ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ laughed in a while. All I gotta say is it has to do with MC Ride, and being an 1000 year old being...It's the funniest ♥♥♥♥ ever. I can't wait for anything else this developer makes (especially with that message at the end once you get all the endings) This game has some great FMV scenes that in the mix of everything, just crack me up.

Я никогда не встречала подобного - по духу это совершенно безумно и оригинально. Сюжет как уроборос: круговорот историй о неизбежности конца и нового повторения цикла. И конец наступил еще до начала: мир в посткатастрофе. Не в постапокалипсисе (это даже лайтово), а в полном крахе бытия. Метафорично это как будто реальность схлопнулась в черной дыре и весь этот сюр - это перепроживание самораспада в искаженном пространстве. И вот в этой сложной структуре повествования автор еще и выбирает художественным языком почти галлюцинаторный бред с глубоким символизмом. Это даже нормальным языком объяснить сложно

For the longest I wanted to play this game because a certain celebrity was in it unofficially. I was able to play like 90% of the game without external help and after about 3-4hrs finished the game. Overall It is a unique game and I don't hate it. There are parts I really did enjoy and others that I did not enjoy.

To the creator if you see this I did enjoy more of the Spider and Snake storylines. The Dragon probably being my least favorite. The way the story ends it seems like you wanted to do more and in that case please give us more cool exploration story endings. I would of love to see the timeline with MJ and the implementations of our consciousness being with Stefan. Also too I was expecting to see more of the Noid Man. I guess in my mind I wanted more of the Snake story line and making it all connect. Which it does but a lot is left to imagination.

Just to summarize the game is a good pick up but is it worth $10? Only if you really like these type of games. Since I got it during a steam sale it was worth it for me. In the market where many games want our dollar I think Critters For Sale needed more but it is not a bad deal if you buy it full price.

This game deserves a thumbs up because it depicts MC Ride as a horseman of the Apocalypse of sorts, and I hate Death Grips. Death Grips could be one of the worst /mu/core fads ever if not for Car Seat Headrest. Car Seat Headrest destroyed my life, and I will pay Sonoshee with Bitcoin if they feature Will in the next game in a similar manner.

the usage of typically associated with russians names and slurs (also the song with russian lyrics which plays in chapter 1) is pretty much off-putting, as i cant tell if the creator was really fond of this 'aesthetic' or - in a worst case scenario - is russian themselves, therefore im a bit sceptical putting a positive review here. i wouldve enjoyed the game much more if not this uncertainty

神作。快点把续作端出来，真正的意识流神作，完美的音乐体验，云里雾里的剧情，震撼灵魂的奇妙冒险。

Juegazo, se merece cada peso que le metí, junto a Who Is Lila, de los mejores juegos de este estilo.
El juego parece ser una experiencia de varias historias sin sentido solo para pasar el rato, pero contiene unas lecturas metafisicas super interesantes, se nota que el creador sabe lo que está haciendo con el mundo que quiere crear y experiencias como estas no son muy comunes en el medio, ya comenté que me suena mucho a who is lila no solo en estilo sino en temas, solo que lo abarca de formas distintas.

nuevamente, una experienca increíble de la cual me borraría la memoria para volverlo a disfrutar, recomiendo a la hora de jugarlo no quedarse en la superficie de lo que te cuentan, cada dialogo y cada conversación, cada personaje, cada sitio, es una pieza de un rompecabezas muy bien hilado el cual tienes que ir construyendo en tu mente esto le una profundidad al juego que no te esperas que tenga al comprarlo.

This game really was such a treat. I super dug the humor. It kind of gives the vibe of earlier Homestuck (which is the good part of that webcomic). Once in a while there's a horror adjacent element that works quite well. The surrealist tone was really fun, and not obnoxious, which is often the line surrealist stuff toes.

I think one or two of the endings in the Spider route can be a little arcane. Which is mostly fine because we live in 2025 and there are guides if you really need something. I do think it's silly that you have to [spoiler] talk to a NPC four times without really any indication that things are going to progress (once to introduce yourself, again to be told what he wants, again to give it to him, and one last time to progress to the ending) [/spoiler]. Oh and there's a slide puzzle in one of the routes. I'm generally pretty anti-slide puzzle.

Vibe was great, dug the writing quite a bit, but it definitely won't be everybody's cup of tea just based on the style of writing alone. Basically, if the trailer looks cool, you'll like it.

The developer's next game is supposedly out this year, which I'm super excited for. There's no trailer on the store page yet, just screenshots. I'm unsure if it's going to be a sequel. This game [spoiler] does say at the end that there were going to be sequels, but I can't really discern from what we've seen so far if that's still the case, though I'd be fine with it either way [/spoiler].

Give it a go if you want a fun read for a couple afternoons.

Не поклонник данного жанра игр, но именно эта зацепила своим сюрреалистичным сюжетом. Визуальная составляющая в купе с отличным саундтреком в стилях вэйва, нойза и etc. только усиливают эффект от пестрящей картинки перед глазами, погружая в очередной трип разработчика при выборе следующей части истории.

Игра не для широкой аудитории однозначно, но своего поклонника найдет. Жду скорейшего выхода следующей игры от этого издателя.

This is most definitely a modern hidden gem. Kept my adhd ass locked in thanks to how short the stories were. The multiple different endings make it well worth playing over & over again as well. Can be puzzling (literally) at times, so I won’t lie & say I didn’t use a damn guide once or twice lol.

From the art style to the soundtrack & story telling, this game really is a unique experience worth its price tag! 10/10

Perfect game for anyone who got really into that kanye quest ascension ♥♥♥♥ especially if it was before it was a video essay topic

even 100%ing it doesn't take long if you are familiar with point-and-clicks + have some background knowledge/interest in esotericism but it's worth a purchase, especially on sale

I'm not sure if this is popular with streamers or something; it was just in my discovery queue, so I'm glad I was able to experience it without pretenses or spoilers. it's not that I don't think the inclusion of certain faces wasn't meant to be funny, but I could see the forest getting lost for the trees here.

Настоящий самородок жанра, погружающий игрока в комплексный и запутанный в разных смыслах сюжет. Игра погружает игрока в самые глубокие пучины философии, прикрываясь вуалью простого разделения добра и зла. Всё это происходит в аккомпанемент с неординарной и крайне уникальной музыкой, продуманным до мелочей интерфейсом и стилистикой. Крайне жду обещанным автором продолжения данной истории, где будут окончательно прояснены многие моменты, оставшиеся под вуалью тайны. Так или иначе, такой уникальный проект просто грех не рекомендовать ценителям, без всякого сомнения

Moi znajomi dostali ostatnio screeny Szatana, który w klubie disco może robić wszystko. A to, że można wysłać dziwnego screena bez kontekstu to zwykle symptom czegoś bardzo interesującego. I tak dziś idziemy właśnie tam. Złapcie waszą ulubioną substancję czas na dziwną, artystyczną, surrealistyczną grę zrobioną przez jednego Marokańczyka.

Critters for Sale, co mam mówić, żeby nie psuć niespodzianki, żeby przekazać jakim mózgotrzepem jest ta gra nie spoilerując? Może początek? Na początku Michael Jackson dzwoni do głównego bohatera w środku nocy roku pańskiego 2033 i zaprasza nas do pobliskiego klubu nocnego. Jeśli odmówimy w nocy udusi nas podróżująca w czasie grecka statua. Więc lepiej odbierzecie.

No dobrze jest szalona fabuła, nawet ma jakiś sens jeśli się ją pozna więc się nie zrażajcie. Ale co to uczucie tripa najbardziej wspomaga to artstyle. Jest on zbudowany z czarno-białej siatki punktów, która wibruje i błyska aby stworzyć surrealne obrazy. (Tak, turaj grube ostrzeżenie o epilepsji). To jak autor tą sztuką się bawi tworząc różne iluzje optyczne i dziwne twory absolutnie sprzedaję tę stylistykę i wraz z transową muzyką jest to doświadczenie absolutnie niezapomniane. Bardzo mi tu brakuje słów, ale artstyle urwał mi dupę.

Dobrze jest też w tym wszystkim gra. I jest to w sumie chyba point'n click, nie to jest w tym ważne. Jest tu trochę zagadek i w większości są kompetentne, odnalezienie się w tym świecie to dopiero zagadka. Jest jeden wyjątek. Kiedy musimy opowiedzieć lwu o tym jaka będzie nasza osobowość po reinkarnacji, ta zagadka była do dupy.

Nie wiem jak mam wam to zareklamować. Nie każdy lubi takie surrealne gówno, więc nie każdemu powinienem. Jeśli macie jakiś chociaż kawałeczek epilepsji to też nie bo wali po oczach jak głupie. Jest to jednak manifestacja pewnego altartowego kierunku w tworzeniu gier, który autentycznie mnie kupuje. Ale mimo że gra jest krótka (3-4h), to spowodowała, że autentycznie coś przeżyłem i poczułem. Daję więc znak jakości i żegnam się staropolskim "Witam was w moim świecie, bawcie się i cieszcie razem ze mną".
