theres quite a bit to say on this game. It tries to emulate the style of resident evil 7/8 (moreso 8 due to high action packed it gets), it doesnt entirely stick the landing but i does feel they do exceed in several aspects that dont make me hate it. The art design is fantastic. I really liked the models for the enemies, though i wish there was more for visual variety. The enviroments are really beautiful to look at as well, making each section feel unique enough to where its not the same stone walls you are looking at. I actually really enjoyed the sound design here as firing the guns at least to me sounded pretty good but the sound of the rain in the background, the puppet creaking their joints, and the music were also good imo. The designs for the guns are also incredibly sexy with the reload animations being also neat enough since the gimmick is that they draw blood in different ways to refill them. For the negaatives, the story kinda is a bit bare. It has an overall narrative that isnt well paced and only gives you dumps of it once you complete a chapter with everything in between just being banter between the characters (did kinda get annoying almost immediately but i just learned to accept it). The voice acting also isnt the best in both english and spanish (i speak both) but i felt that it added a bit of charm a la the original resident evils having awful voice acting to make it feel more campy (also this is an indie game that i believe is their first game so i dont expect AAA quality here). The gunplay couldve been a bit better as i felt they lacked a little oomf to firing the guns that made them feel a bit weightless and lacking impact (the knife also had kinda wonky parry timing as the length of enemy weapon mattered more than it should). The game had a lack of bosses as they only really had one real boss and two mini bosses that were not fun to fight against which is odd as the juxtaposition to the puzzles showed that they put in a ton of effort into them to make you think about the solutiona bit. The absolute worst part is the perfomance suffering more than it should. I had quite a bit of frame drops in more cluttered areas and it was jarring to see frequently. Despite the aforementioned issues, i really liked it regardless as survival horror is my favorite genre but since this leans more towards the action horror towards the latter half, it loses me a bit. I would reccomend this if you wanna not only support an indie studio that made a good game but if you are a fan of the genre and you want something to scratch the slight itch after beating Resident Evil Requiem and i feel this is able to at least entertain you enough to enjoy this. I will be keeping an eye on this studio to see grow from this actually good start they have.

Bueno qué decir de este juego la verdad que me pareció muy bueno, tiene ese estilo de BioShock que me gustó y la mecánica de cargar el arma con tu vida me pareció bastante interesante la verdad, y el tema de los enemigos son medio tediosos al principio, pero te vas acostumbrando. Le doy un 8 de 10, la verdad bastante sólido el juego.

Por el momento me está encantando.
El doblaje al castellano, la ambientación. La mecánica de la sangre le da bastante juego.
Y el juego a pesar de correr en Unreal Engine, no estoy teniendo mayor problema.
Si que es cierto que el rendimiento no es el mejor... Aun con una gráfica medianamente potente se necesita tirar de algún reescalado para disfrutar de una experiencia fluida. Deberían pulir un poquito más eso. Por lo demás, si es el primer juego del estudio, mis dieces. Con muchas ganas de ver que más sale de este equipo.

Начнем с плюсов.
Довольно приятная графика.
Интересный сюжет.
Красивые декорации.
Проработанные оружие и враги.
Стилистика игры довольно интересная.
Перейдем к минусам.
Оптимизация ужасна, фпс скачет от 20 до 80. и это с апскйлом.
Моё железо не на уровне картошки, как минимум оно на голову выше чем минимальные, но играть выходит только с нейро мылом. Разработчик откровенно положил болт M48 на оптимизацию.
Красивая игра, чудный сеттинг, классный сюжет. Но вот стоит оно того когда разраб забил болт и вкрутил гвоздь на оптимизацию и на конечного потребителя?
Да игра стоит того чтобы в неё поиграть, но есть свои жирные НО.
Полноценно я прошел только пролог и много не увидел, суммарно я сыграл всего час, я уверен что в игре множество хороших аспектов которых я не заметил но играть в это пока рано. Когда завезут (Если) оптимизацию я вернусь и перепишу отзыв. но в целом игра хороша.

[h1] ЛЁГКОЕ ОЩУЩЕНИЕ RESIDENT и BIOSHOCK с ИДЕЕЙ ЧТО ХП - БОЕЗАПАС[/h1]

[h2]СЮЖЕТ[/h2]

До конца понять и часть происходящего до конца мне не понятны. Сюжет движется достаточно медленно и частых откровений на час времени очень мало. Раз в 3 часа вкидывается что-то новое или неожиданное для продвижения дальше, так игрок и будет двигаться к концу игра приоткрывая завесу с чего начался весь замес. Не сказать, что следить за ним было интересно, что не скажешь об одном персонаже.

Медиодия буквально в диалогах ощущается как Харли Квинн испанского создания. Слушать её очень приятно. То, как она движется, строит диалоги, ну сверх приятно, и её хочется гораздо больше. Из минусов моделька, в особенности глаза показались кукольными.

[h2]ГРАФИКА/ ОПТИМИЗАЦИЯ / АНИМАЦИИ[/h2]
Выглядит - красиво благодаря происходящему сюжет в Хиспании, и это точно не ИСПАНИЯ. Отражений в игре хватает, а за счёт Lumen, которые сильно всё нагружают. В зеркалах их не будет, за что наверное спасибо. Больше всего мне не нравятся отражения в воде и как это выглядит, чем-то OLED пиксели напоминает.

UE5, от чего и многие возникающие особенности и проблемы. Бывают статтеры когда цепляешь точки подгрузок или даже на пустом месте. При всех максимальных настройках может выедать до 12гб в 2к разрешении. Очень большой упор в видеокарту.

Большое количество геймплейных анимаций вы могли видеть в других играх или более дешёвых проектах. Часть взаимодействий в игре, скорее всего, куплены в магазине UE.

[h2]МУЗЫКА/ ОЗВУЧКА[/h2]
Пожалуй, 95% процентов играет просто эмбиент, ну и звуки окружения. Когда играет музыка — это, конечно, кайфово с испанскими нотками, но так редко.

ИСПАНСКАЯ озвучка так сильно тащит игру, ну просто нереально. Я даже не стал переключаться на английскую, а оставил оригинал, и так это прибавляет к атмосфере.

[h2]ГЕЙМПЛЕЙ[/h2]

В большей степени идеи старых Resident Evil и вайбами Bioshock, но сильно не радуемся, поскольку игра создана маленькой студией. Вся игра очень медленная и вязкая, спешить тут некуда вообще, да и сама игра не позволяет. 90% игры неспешно движетесь по закрученным локациям сменяя этажи от 2 до -3, но во всех лифтах только 1 0 и -1.

Фишка игры — ваши ХП буквально запас патронов. При перезарядке персонаж втыкает в руку или ладонь иглу от оружия и закачивает патроны. Для лечения используются трупы животных и людей, при их отсутствии есть шприцы, восстанавливающие некоторое количество здоровья.

[h3]ВРАГИ и БОССЫ[/h3]
Противников настолько мало, а новые появятся лишь во второй главе, что может навеять скуку. Разновидность базовых кукол по ощущения 3-4 вида. Вы можете полноценно отстреливать им голову и руки, а также отделить туловище и ноги, что бывает достаточно редко в связи с патронами.

Всего 2 босса.

Один в середине игры и это большая статуя, которую тупо нужно нашпиговать уроном. К сожалению на высокой сложности, если мало прокачиваться или не собирать деньги, то его не пройти. Подеретесь с ним 2 раза вроде.

Последний, ну по сюжету и так ясно кто он будет. Отстреливает жёлтые точки на теле и после 3 фаз, с последовательным усложнением.

[h3]ПРОКАЧКА[/h3]
Улучшения делятся на усиление персонажа и пушек.

Для персонажа есть спрятанные эликсиры здоровья и навыки, которые по ощущениям прям очень очень странные.

[*] С шансом 50% при смерти вы воскресните при наличии шприцов.
[*] Нанесение урона врагу, когда у вас меньше 20% восстановит 6% здоровья. Сработает - очень редко, особенно на максимальной сложности.
[*] Каждый выстрел из текущего магазина увеличивает урона последней пули на 6% - Обрез передает привет.
[*] С шансом 12% снаряд не израсходуется. Привет от обреза и снайперки, хотя у второй с 3 обойм может прокнуть.
[*] Поглощение крови сверх запаса здоровья с шансом 20% даст шприц. Либо они уже забиты, либо хп не восстанавливается сверх запаса.

Только 2 перка показались хорошими - удар ножом уменьшает урон на 15%, парирование восстанавливает 15% хп. Я столько хп нахили с этими 15%.

Улучшается всё за души, которых овер дофига и вороньи реликвии, которые надо искать на карте и в сундуках.

Оружие улучшается за деньги, которых к концу было очень много, если исследовать локации и можете вообще не экономить. параметры - базовые: урон, перезарядка, скорострельность и боезапас. Перезарядка сильно ускоряется для пистолета и бесполезного автомата.

[h3]ОРУЖИЕ[/h3]
Пушки по сюжету выдают очень медленно, приблизительно первые, наверное, часа 4 по ощущениям будете играть лишь с пистолетом. Общий принцип выдачи тоже кривой. Пистолет -> обрез -> снайперская винтовка и в последние 3 часа автомат и гарпун-гранатомёт. Ниже рассмотрю каждое слегка подробнее.

[*] НОЖ
Очень полезен на первичных порах. 30 урона — очень много, а возможность парирования врагов сильно спасает от получения на треть или половину хп в начале. Не совсем понятно, как парируется, но, как я понял, либо ваш удар встретит вражеский в прямой анимации или обратной. Улучшения на восстановление 15% хп за успешное парирование и уменьшение урона на 15% при ударах сильно помогут в моменты, когда не хватает хп. К сожалению, большинство советов относится к высокой сложности.

[*] ПИСТОЛЕТ
Рабочая лошадка на всех дистанциях и вообще всю игру, не стоит скупиться для его улучшения. В начале полностью ощущается слабым, медленной стрельбой и долгой перезарядкой. Каждое улучшение будет делать ствол только лучше. Перки добавят и мощности, и слегка с боезапасом проблемы решат.

[*] ОБРЕЗ
Спорная пушка, поскольку иногда убивает врага за 1 выстрел в упор, но чаще всего будут требоваться 2. Это я напоминаю — обрез! Он должен быть мощным и без прокачки сносить, но нет. Используется в большинстве случаев, как слили 2 выстрела и перешли на пистолет, либо для тех, кто добрался уж слишком близко. Почему так, а перезарядка будет занимать все 3 секунды. Прокачка до 2 уровня сделает лучше, но всё ещё не устраняет, как по мне, низкий урон и медленную перезарядку. Вот к 3 уровню, там, конечно, разнос пушка, но перки ставят свои точки над пушками.

[*] СНАЙПЕРСКАЯ ВИНТОВКА
Вторая по полезности пушка для уничтожения врагов вдали. Снаряды по ощущениям огромные, поскольку в некоторых моментах четко видно, как пуля должна лететь мимо, но попадает. Увеличение урона сделает 2 шотных ствол большинства врагов и можно будет весело бегать лупить от бедра.

[*] АВТОМАТ
Дается настолько поздно, что он уже и не к месту. У вас скорее всего улучшены полностью 3 ствола выше. Зачем он? Разброс достаточно сильный, а сводится в точку медленно. Перезарядка занимает по виду секунд 10, а на деле вечность. С улучшением станет лучше, но это ещё нужно добраться до торговца, но когда это произойдет вы отправляетесь в последнюю главу.
Он существует ради существования и применения к получению ему не находится.

[*] ГАРПУН(гранатомёт)
Выдаётся в самом конце игры, чисто стрелять по толпам врагов, нооооо использовать его крайне неприятно. Логика полёта привычная для гранатомёта — есть насечки прицела, и после пары выстрелов мы понимаем, как и куда он летит по дуге. Вот вы даёте 1-2-3 выстрела и вообще не понимаете почему не попадает. Присмотревшись понимаем, что модель снаряда летит выше, чем его физическая копия. От чего каждый выстрел будет лететь, да не в ту сторону.

[h2]ИТОГИ[/h2]
Покупал за 550р на скидке в 17%, при полной стоимости в 650р. Прохождение на высокой сложности заняло 12,4 ч, причём здесь отсутствуют автосохранения, если я правильно понял. От чего можно умереть в прологе и потерять минут 40 геймплея, частые смерти могут сильно откатывать по прохождению. Даже на максимальной сложности игра не чувствуется сложной, просто требует медленного подхода.

Игру по титрам делала не очень то и большая команда из которых 2-3 программиста.

At $18, Crisol is a criminally underpriced gem of a game with a very respectable length. While it started strong with a promising gameplay loop, it did begin to falter rather quickly. I think this game has huge potential and for that reason, I am not going to hold back with my critiques. But first - the good!

[h2]The Good[/h2]
The value per dollar here is insane. Keeping on brand with its obvious influences, Crisol: Theater of Idols features the same runtime as modern Resident Evil titles but at a fraction of the cost. The game is gorgeous and runs quite well, outside of some sporadic hitching. Despite some issues (see "The Bad" section), combat was excellent with erratic enemy movement and a decent selection of weapons. The level design was handled well, with interconnectivity and key items playing a big role in allowing the player to navigate the map. Lastly, the puzzles were VERY good. They were challenging, many in number, and some of them even contained red herring fake-outs to test the player's comprehension all-together.

[h2]The Bad[/h2]
While Crisol initially came out swinging with some stellar gunplay and environments, the gameplay systems are ultimately quite shallow - featuring only surface-level weapon upgrades and a limited skill tree. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect of this game was the mislabeled genre. While it features some core mechanics of survival horror, this one plays more like an action game with horror elements. If I could do it all over, I would have chosen the Hard difficulty for sure. Let me explain...

The mechanic which sees the player sacrificing HP for ammunition is awesome on paper, but in my Normal difficulty playthrough it quickly became evident that I would never be hurting for HP nor ammunition. Blood vials were plentiful and reloads were relatively cheap. The game provides more than enough resources to kill every single enemy. With the exception of 2 specific rooms, there were practically no scenarios that forced me to run past enemies to save ammo - a situation that survival horror games are known for putting players in.

The last critique I want to offer is the enemy design. While gunplay feels good and the enemy movement is excellent, enemy placement left little to the imagination. Each room with enemies features a distinct wooden creaking sound - alerting the player to an upcoming fight and thus killing the suspense. This was followed by an obvious trigger point which would cause the enemies to round a corner in front of me, already aggro'd. There were no inanimate enemies to keep me wondering who was dead or still alive, no rooms with dormant enemies to try and sneak by or otherwise get creative with. Every room was the same...enter -> enemies turn a corner and aggro -> walk backwards while shooting them -> they die easily.

[h2]Conclusion[/h2]
I really did enjoy this game, and I have kept its indie nature and small development team in mind with my review. Overall, this was a fun experience and I think Vermila Studios have a bright future ahead. In terms of visuals and performance, Crisol checks a lot of boxes that indie studios typically miss. But ultimately the enemy engagement design and lack of suspense really held it back. For that reason, I would say this is a good action game, but just a "meh" survival horror game.

Ох... довольно оригинально!
Играл с испанской озвучкой и русскими субтитрами, и получил интересный игровой опыт. Сама игра хорошая, такая альтернатива Resident Evil получилась.
Нарратив примерно такой, что есть какие-то пару богов. а может и не пару, и мир пронизан своей некой мифологией\идеологией, в целом глаза не режет, повторюсь, что это довольно оригинально.
Монстры нестрашные. есть пару пугалок, есть монстр, который игрока держит в напряжении, но для ветеранов RE это будет неплохая прогулка.

Из минусов:
(тут больше к разработчикам)
- Стрельба, сделана спорно, оружие в руках не болтается, но при этом на каких-то своих ощущениях пытаешься прицельно стрелять, поэтому нужно добавить легкую качку оружия в руках, это придало бы логичности в стрельбе. Сначала с геймпадом пробовал, к сожалению, очень неудобно реализовано, пытался настраивать, так и не нашел оптимальные настройки чувствительности стиков.
- Лодка в третей главе, она очень медленно движется, это нужно исправлять!

Really enjoyed my time with this game. The cost of health for ammo mechanic is not a gimmick and puts an interesting spin on resource management. The level design is fun and the puzzles that aren't too easy or hard which is great. The story was interesting enough for me to stay in and read the lore items. This game incorporates a lot of things that I love in games and does them very good most of the time.

Muy recomendado.
Es un AA con un gameplay que bebe mucho de Bioshock y unos puzles que recuerdan a Resident Evil.

La mecánica de recargar la munición con tu salud es muy interesante, y al principio del juego te hace plantearte si compensa más recargar o ir con algo más de vida.
El único punto negativo que le daría al gameplay es el cuchillo. Se rompe en seguida, es caro arreglarlo y usarlo es demasiado arriesgado. A las pocas horas de juego decidí que no merecía la pena usarlo.

Los puzles son muy entretenidos. En tres acabé sacando boli y papel para solucionarlos.

La ambientación y el diseño de niveles también están muy bien. Los enemigos realmente dan miedo y el mapa no se siente demasiado lineal.

He visto alguna reseña hablando de mal rendimiento y de crasheos, pero yo la verdad es que no tuve ningún problema.

Por 17 € merece totalmente la pena.

The concept was really nice, I was hooked on the storyline. I quite enjoy the mechanic of the game, the props and art direction is stunning.
It was not too long, just enough content for me to finish one playthrough in one sitting. While I enjoy most part of the game, some of the puzzles and the boat section really took me out, not being able to check the map while the boat, moving slowly as it can be a bit tedious.

I do wish there was more boss fights, and varities to them for each chapter, this game could use some more action, beacuse all the weapons that was given was just all so cool and I'm just excited to see how each gun bleed us for bullets.

Overall I enjoy this game! 8.5/10 I can't wait to see more future works from the game dev. This was such a pretty game.

I was attracted by the visuals and atmosphere of this title and i so want to complete this game but i really don't like puzzles. I wish you were able to skip them. They're like boss fights to me. They make up a small percentage of a game but hardly have anything to do with the core game play. Real shame because at it's core it's a good game.

I just happened to watch a video of Crisol on YouTube while I was doing a RE marathon, and thought I'd try it out.. it was surprisingly good.

What hooked me immediately were the blood ammo concept and weapon designs and they're why I stayed to finish the game.
The game has its ups and downs but once I reached the midway point I was hooked and finished the game in that sitting.
Though I have some complaints about the (english) voice acting, dialogue & storyline, it was a solid experience. I look forward to replaying in the future but with the spanish dub.

In case anyone is wondering whether or not to give Crisol a try because they're looking for a game to scratch that Resident Evil (7 & 8) itch, here are my comparisons:
1) RE 7: Crisol has better variation in normal enemies, worse boss fights, better final segments (compared to the boat segment), wayyy harder puzzles, similar re-playability
2) RE 8 / village: Crisol has a similar aesthetic overall, similar weapon upgrades, worse characters & story (but interesting plot concept, I just found it hard to follow and plain sometimes), similar fear factor, similar (good) optimization

Tiene un diseño de niveles, arte y ambientación basado en tradiciones españolas muy decente, presentado en una aceptable fórmula de survival horror en primera persona. La mecánica de gestión de la munición es muy interesante y los rompecabezas son ingeniosos que te obligan a pensar.

Игра мне понравилась. Сюжетный довольно загадочный.
Вот одного не могу понять. Как я на 4к монет смог почти полностью прокачать нож, пистолет и снайперскую винтовку? Денег ну уж очень много. Под конец игры осталось еще +- 20к, хотя всё оружие прокачал полностью и скорее всего половину секретов(солари и т.д) я не нашел.
Прошел за 15,7 часов, заглядывал под каждый камень и все равно многое пропустил.
ВАЖНО! Многие части локаций недоступны для повторного прохождения.

Unfortunately as much as I'd like to, I find this hard to recommend. The art team absolutely cooked but everything else is really under par; level design, narrative, and combat all struggle to make an impression.

I've seen a number of reviews complaining about the yellow paint marking and although I usually shrug past this kind of criticism, in this game it really is deployed to a degree that becomes sort of confusing in itself: when you see some yellow paint pointing you down a completely linear corridor, you start to wonder if there was some other route you could have taken (there isn't). Pair this with the incessant holding of buttons to open doors or squeeze through gaps and artificially slowing your pace, and navigating the levels feels like a drag rather than an intriguing space to explore.

Additionally, I don't know if something was lost in translation, or if English was the lead language, but the tone is all over the place. Your character narrates actions that don't need narrating, and early on you are paired up with a ridiculously poorly directed character that pretty much singlehandedly kills the vibe, which is criminal in a world that is otherwise beautifully crafted. It feels as though the characters are trying to fill awkward silences, but silence is golden, and really would have gone a long way to let the world breathe.

Finally, the combat feels strangely weak. The enemies don't seem like they're reacting to my shots much, and shot location didn't seem to matter at all, so each encounter just feels like a scramble to fire enough bullets into a sponge before you run out of blood. To me, using your own health as ammo is a sacrifice that should feel rewarded with incredible power, but here it feels almost meaningless. I might as well be hitting them with a frying pan.

Overall, I really hate to leave a negative review on an indie game, but honestly I felt like the trailer mis-sold this one. It really needed a bit more time and testing with players to find its potential.

[h2]Сюжет[/h2] Мы - Габриэль, религиозный воитель и паладин на службе у Церкви Солнца. Внемля голосу бога Солнца, мы отправляемся на остров Торментос, чтобы восстановить на нем порядок, положив конец зародившемуся культу и устранить божественную угрозу, исходящую от бога Моря.

[h2]Геймплей[/h2] Главной особенностью игры является способность Габриэля превращать полоску здоровья в патроны для оружия.

Нам предстоит исследовать несколько локаций, узкие проходы которых ведут к загадкам. После решения загадки, получения какого-либо предмета или открытия ранее заблокированного прохода мы сможем продвинуться дальше по сюжету.

Локации наполнены ожившими идолами, которые в основном отличаются набором вооружения, но будут встречаться и более уникальные виды, например, Мать Долорес, которая будет преследовать нас на манер Тирана из Resident Evil.

[h2]Общее впечатление[/h2] Тизер игры сразу же заинтересовал меня. Спустя время была выпущена демоверсия, которая, мягко говоря, не впечатлила от слова «совсем». В ней была какая-то проблема с камерой и отсутствие интеллекта у Матери Долорес. Она просто ходила по кругу и повторяла одинаковые фразы, а найти игрока могла, только если он бегал по локации. Если же игрок просто ходил, она не замечала его, даже если он дышал ей в спину.

После демоверсии я начал относиться к проекту настороженно, но списал это на раннюю версию.

И вот игра наконец вышла. Первое, что я увидел, - это счетчик кадров, который не поднимается выше 40 FPS. Я полез в настройки, но их изменение никак не помогало исправить ситуацию. Пришлось скачать с Nexus мод, который добавляет в игру DLSS, потому что по какой-то причине разработчики не смогли сами добавить его в игру.

Первые пару часов играть было интересно: исследовать первую локацию действительно приятно. Но уже к ее концу я стал замечать, что геймплейно ничего нового не происходит, а сражения не меняются. Происходит один и тот же сценарий: мы заходим в комнату, через пару секунд из разных углов выходят противники, заполняют коридор и медленно идут на игрока, а игрок, стоя у двери, отстреливает их. Если патроны заканчиваются - возвращаешься в предыдущую комнату, восполняешь ресурсы и повторяешь все заново. Далее сражения происходят точно по такому же сценарию. Изредка противника могут поставить за спину или добавить стрелка, но принципиально ничего не меняется. Каких-то уникальных ситуаций не возникает.

Противники не пытаются тебя окружить или загнать в ловушку - они просто идут на тебя, изображая угрозу.

Также нет необходимости экономить ресурсы: здоровье разбросано повсюду. Мы просто не оказываемся в ситуации дефицита. У героя есть нож для парирования и добивания, но из-за отсутствия давления со стороны игры он почти не нужен.

Мать Долорес все еще такая же тупорылая. Она появляется в строго заготовленных локациях и ходит по строго заготовленному маршруту, а реагирует только на спринт игрока.

Загадки тоже начинают деградировать после первой локации. Если в начале тебе предлагали решить какие-то действительно интересные задачки, то далее разработчики устали и просто начали копировать одну и ту же загадку три раза, буквально друг за другом.

Помимо унылого однообразия разработчики решили и увеличить продолжительность игры, добавив бесконечно долгие анимации толкания шкафов, пролезания в узких проходах или «кровавых воспоминаний» персонажей, которые нельзя слушать как записанное сообщение - нужно стоять и смотреть на статичную сцену, иначе при входе в соседнюю комнату рассказ прервется.

Особенно затянутым получился сегмент с лодкой, где приходится многократно на ней плавать с крайне низкой скоростью. Создается ощущение, что один этот эпизод покатушек занимает около часа.

[h2]Итог[/h2] Crisol: Theater of Idols получилась крайне спорным. Видно, что разработчики вдохновились Resident Evil: это заметно уже по тому, как герой держит пистолет в руках, или по проверенным годами загадкам. Но у них совершенно не удалось передать напряженную атмосферу, которая присутствует в серии.

А если посмотреть с другой стороны, что удалось реализовать разработчикам из заявленного в описании? Хоррор? Игра абсолютно не страшная и не напряженная, и даже не пытается такой казаться. Экшен? Тоже очень сомнительно - разве что в финальном сегменте.

Так и выходит, что она хочет быть хоррор/экшен приключением, но разочаровывает во всех аспектах. Похвалить игру можно только за визуальный стиль и необычный сеттинг.

Стрельба никак не ощущается. Исследовать локации не хочется - в них попросту нет ничего стоящего. К концу игры у меня было около 20к монет, которые не на что было потратить. Ну и о каком исследовании может идти речь, если каждый метр в игре окрашен желтой краской?

И все эти огромные минусы дополняются ужасной оптимизацией, которую нужно исправлять модами.

Я не могу порекомендовать ее к прохождению.

You don't need a massive budget to create a solid FPS Horror game, as this weird lovechild of Bioshock and RE: Villages proves. Definitely worth a purchase at its price!

Good Stuff
======================

- The game is very pretty for a double A title. Tormentosa has lots of interesting and unique zones with lots of opportunities to double back and explore. The aesthetic really leans into a Catholican Rapture ala Bioshock and I really liked looking around

- Blood is ammo in this game and it's a very interesting mechanic, at least in the beginning when the encounters are small and you have to make a real choice between killing enemies or trying to run around them. Later on this gets diminished a bit with stronger weapons and more health but the encounters get a lot more hectic to try and balance things out.

- The game's main stalker enemy is easily tricked but she shows up often enough to be memorable and there are some uses of her positioning with the terrain and general enemy placement that I found both super clever and made the situation very tense.

- I enjoyed the sound design in this game to heighten the creepy factor up. Since the enemies are all wooden, you'll find yourself jumping to every creaky sign and loose floorboard as an inevitable ambush.

- There's a good amount to do for your money in this game. I clocked in at around 12 hours and I'd still guess I only got 3/4ths of the total collectables, all of which is needed to max out your weapons and skills.

Bad Stuff
======================

-First and foremost, the puzzles in this game are just too much. Too many details, too difficult to figure out at first glance. Completely doable, but you'll waste a lot of time reading and re-reading. It would be great if games could strike a balance between this and something more braindead like Resident Evil

- The movement speed in this game is just not good. The MC feels like he's moving through tar most of the time and this goes double when aiming or, god forbid, using a vehicle. Trust me the rowboat sections are just awful to inch through.

- The main stalker enemy, while definitely adding urgency into the parts of the game she appears in, is a bit too chatty for my liking. She probably doesn't need to be constantly telling you she hears you or that you got away from her to be effective.

-People complain about the lack of enemy variety but I think the real issue is the presentation. The game could use more enemy types but I feel like you don't see a single new enemy type until zone 2 of 4 and they're used sparingly. By the time the best enemies show up, the game is about over. Spacing them out over the game probably would have been better.

- It would be great if you could jump down ladders rather then having to climb down each and every one. It's a nitpick but there are a lot of ladders

"POSIBLE SPOILER"

No voy a decir que me encanto, tampoco que no me gusto. Tiene muchas cosas interesantes, asi como varias cosas malas, que pueden ser pocas, pero a mi me chocan mucho. La historia, el ambiente y el combate son aspectos interesantes y entretenidos del juego, pero algo que me choca son los efectos de sonido, ciertos puntos narrativos especificos y el como aplicaron la mecanica de la sangre como municion.
El doblaje español deja que desear en varios dialogos o personajes, principalmente en el dios sol, Ulises y dolores
Los efectos de sonidos en algunos enfrentamientos, como contra el Petreo, dolores o dolores y ulises hacen que se sienta sin peso, los efectos fallan/se esuchan bajo o directamente no hay efecto para ciertas acciones.
El tramo luego de vaciar la tumba de dolores se siente un poco rapida para mi gusto
La mecanica principal "sangre como municion" no tiene nada muy especial, los recursos abundan, por lo que se traduce a que la municion abunda. Tal vez al principio se siente un poco de terror, al no saber que viene y el pensar que podrias morir en cualqueir momento, pero al avanzar se deja de sentir el miedo, se siente como que la sangre nunca se te va a acabar, por lo que matar a los enemigos se vuelve la mejor y mas facil salida de cualquier situacion. No hay tencion, no hay miedo, no hay estrategia de decir "ahorro mi vida escapando de la situacion o me enfrento a los enemigos" es siempre una matanza de estatuas
Dolores como un perseguidor da miedo las primeras dos veces, pero luego se siente como un algo que aparece para hacerte avanzar mas lento y con cuidado, no un reto, solo algo que realentiza el avance, no se le puede combatir y no genera mucha tension.
Y por ultimo, la parte final, donde hay que moverse en botes, es muuy lenta.
El juego tiene una mecanica interesante, ademas de tener un aire a BioShock o R.E 7, pero queda corto o insulso en varias cosas, posiblemente por no querer arriesgarse a que algo quede mal
Pese a que solo mencione cosas negativas, le doy una buena puntuacion, poruqe me parece mejor destacar lo negativo (al menos para mi), para que se tenga en cuenta, y disfrutar de ver lo bueno por cuenta propia.
Como dije al principio, la historia es interesante y la exploracion no es el punto fuerte pero esta aplicada de forma decente.
El juego se deja disfrutar basciamente.
Para mi, es un 8 sobre 10.

Унылая стрельба месяками, унылейший список стволов, унылейший сюжет, унылейший геймдизайн, унылейшие лвлдизайн, унылейшее музыкальное сопровождение.

Крутой стиль, все.

Больше у игры нет плюсов. Я просто в один момент понял, что я просто не могу дальше сидеть, иначе сдохну от скуки.

Вообще не рекомендую к покупке, лучше робокопа купите, там хотя бы весело, тут же все настолько медленно, что я 4 часа просто просрал на одну главу, ибо уныние охватило

Game play and story do not blow me out of the sea, but it did have its shining moments.

Issue I had:
Sometimes while aiming the controls will lock up and all I can do was to do lateral movements to align my shots.
I felt like movement was sluggish, especially in the boat.

I do use controllers with these kind of games, so the experience could be better with keyboard and mouse

En primer lugar aclarar algo que se puede leer en diversos comentarios o análisis en la red y me gustaría comentar, para nada es un Bioshock. En lo único que tiene similitudes es en la vista de primera persona y que puede recordar en su acabado artístico, nada más, bueno y en que disparas con armas. Cuando te pones a los mandos, en seguida te recuerda a los Resident Evil 7 y 8,los jugados en primera persona. Su estructura de niveles, su inventario con su backtracking, sus armas y mejoras etc. Con ambientación fabulosa, un gran gunplay, diseño de sonido brutal, arte de enemigos genial. La historia es buena, interesante y cargada de una mezcla entre leyendas ,religión y drama, me ha gustado. Los personajes no acaban de estar bien definidos, acaba el juego y apenas tienes profundidad de ninguno.
Mencionar la increíble BSO, unos temazos brutales creados para la ocasión y que me parecen desaprovechados, ya que solo se pueden escuchar en el menú principal, créditos y como coleccionables.
En el aspecto técnico es donde pero se puede hablar, tengo un equipo con un 6800 xt de AMD y he tenido que poner la resolución a 1080p para poder jugar a 60fps estables, aunque eso si, nada de bugs o crasheos. Algunos errores de diseño menores y perdonables al ser un equipo de desarrollo indie y sin el presupuesto abultado de otras devs. Hay que recordar el increíble precio de salida del juego, lejísimos de otros muchos y que no se le acercan en calidad. Por mi parte lo recomiendo muchísimo (y encima desarrollo español),quizás esperar un poco que lo optimicen algo más y arreglen algo su rendimiento. Por último añadiría un selector de capítulos y un NG+, también algo que te informara de cuantos angelitos(coleccionables) hay por zona ,ayudaría a conseguir los logros ya que han logrado que sea muy adictivo intentar tenerlos todos.

En líneas generales es un juego muy entretenido, más aún teniendo en cuenta su precio. Puzles que no son excesivamente enrevesados, pero, desde luego, son muy originales. Los entornos están muy cuidados, aunque sí es cierto que en según que puntos del juego he notado algo de inestabilidad con los FPS (puede ser debido a la tostadora que tengo por PC).

Por ponerle algo negativo, los disparos e impactos no se sienten del todo "realistas", por decirlo de alguna forma, y los enemigos tienden a ser algo repetitivos, pero aún con ello, es un juego muy redondo.

Está muy bien que haya estudios nacionales que se animen con propuestas tan originales como Crisol.

Excelente relación precio-calidad.

No es un shooter estándar, y eso es justamente lo que lo hace interesante. Acá no podés ir para adelante como en Doom: cada enfrentamiento es una decisión. Tenés que pensar si pelear o escapar, porque cada disparo cuesta vida.

Es un juego lento, tenso y exigente. No te lleva de la mano y te castiga si jugás mal. La dificultad es real, incluso en los primeros tramos, y aprender las mecánicas forma parte de la experiencia.

La ambientación es muy buena, con una estética oscura basada en el folclore español que le da una identidad distinta dentro del género.

No es para todo el mundo. Si buscás acción rápida tipo shooter clásico, no es por acá. Pero si te gustan los juegos donde tenés que pensar, administrar recursos y bancarte la presión, vale totalmente la pena.

The game is great and very much worth playing even at full price, The art style and direction is fantastic and the puzzles and level design are excellent. Only gripe I have is how slow the boat is in act 3, it spoils the momentum somewhat but overall its very much worth the a playthrough. Took me about 10 or so hours to complete. For the £12 it cost me on sale it exceeded all expectations.

I haven't even finished prologue and spent less than 1,5 hour in the game, but some things became crystal clear:

1. Too many things refer to Resident Evil - from atmosphere, through gameplay and until types of achievements.
2. You won't be able to get good performance on a "potato" PC. I was surprised, that I had to use mods to enable DLSS (thankfully, the patch was already announced).
3. Don't start the game on hardest difficulty! It will simply waste your time on every apect: there is no autosave feature, you'll have to watch several unskippable cutscenes and "tutorial moments", after which you'll most likely die and... have to start from the very-very beginning. I failed to reach even the first save point, started the game anew twice and then just dropped the "hardcore difficulty" idea.

But upon the whole I like the rest: visual style, gameplay and atmosphere. It is more "YES" than "NO".

rtx 5080 and it has really bad optimization (capped at 60fps is crazy this days), that and high difficulty just means enemies resist more. The game just feels bad to play, an FPS must feel great, 15 minutes using the gun and I was already pissed of by how tedius the combat is. Basically it's running away from zombie enemies while you shoot, that's it. Don't know how this game has positive reviews

For the price a very good horror shooter in the overall style of Bioshock with significantly less variety (no special abilities, etc). Interesting story and great aesthetic, really enjoyed exploring the maps and hunting for items. Combat is pretty easy after a certain point (on normal) but generally feels very fair. I will say weapon variety is a bit off kilter. Some weapons you unlock so late they barely matter except for the final boss. You will primarily be using pistol (which TBF is how many people play RE games as well) with other weapons as back-ups or for specific scenarios. Overall, if you like the aesthetic and want to see the story, it's worth a go.

For all the people comparing this to Bioshock, No and I don't know why. Feels like a FPS married Resident Evil 2 remake in how the level design is approached and it does it well. Put this more in a horror/puzzle category and it explains the enemies being harder to kill as well. On its own it stands up as a top notch AA game. Graphics are AAA quality and most of the game has been really fun(currently in Act 2) and it feels AAA for sure but there are little things that will remind you its a AA title. Could use more enemy variety and bosses but one thing this game did was start off easy and then ramp the combat slowly up(maybe too slow) by taking away the things you could get away with which made the game harder and more enjoyable really but the enemies are bullet sponges. At first the narrative could use some help and is a little cringy but it does get better, I promise. I choose the hardest difficulty and the way they structured exploration and the save points well that it makes it feel slightly souls-like and will punish you at times(No auto save, you die and lose all progress). For $17 its a well polished gem that you don't need to wait for a sale.

Crisol: Theater of Idols es una auténtica barbaridad a nivel artístico. La dirección de arte es sobresaliente, con escenarios cargados de personalidad, un diseño de enemigos y armas brillante y una ambientación que te atrapa desde el primer momento. Todo encaja: lo visual, lo sonoro y unas actuaciones de voz que elevan aún más la experiencia.

Además, consigue algo muy especial: capturar la esencia de España —en su imaginería, arquitectura y tono— y fusionarla de forma natural con un horror claramente lovecraftiano. Esa mezcla le da una identidad única y muy poco vista.

Es de esos juegos donde se nota mimo en cada detalle, creando un mundo tan perturbador como fascinante.

Como pequeños peros, el uso algo excesivo de “pintura amarilla” puede romper puntualmente la inmersión, y se echa en falta una opción para desactivar el motion blur. Aun así, son detalles menores dentro de un conjunto tremendamente sólido.

En definitiva, un juego que destaca por su identidad y ejecución artística, y que merece mucho la pena.

Ну что я могу сказать, после того как прошёл этот не то что бы шедевр, но великолепный представитель инди-проектов? А только одно - мне понравилось и я, от себя, однозначно рекомендую эту игру к прохождению. Особенно если вам по душе игры по типу 7-го резика. Сюжет тут имеет парочку плот твистов, но не то что бы прям "Вау!", присутствуют головоломки, не сложные, но некоторые, лично меня, бесили. Сложность? Ну, я прошёл на среднем, по этому особых проблем с ресурсами у меня не было, да и в целом противники не то что бы сильно душили. Возможно, для некоторых, игра полностью раскроется на максимальном уровне сложности... Возможно её и стоит проходить на самой высокой сложности, но лично я, свою долю удовольствия от игры получил и на нормале.

I enjoyed most of this one. The combat is fun in that you don't just go balls to the wall firing at everything. Every fight you need to focus as ammo is literally your own life force. I liked the environments even if it did feel a bit like a discount BioShock. The voice acting it a bit hit or miss. Other characters are decent but man did I dislike the main characters voice lol. Wish there was a bit more looting and the trait system becomes useless after just a few of them. Too many don't serve much of a function. My biggest complaint was the puzzles. They aren't really all that hard but come off as if they belong in a different game. I do have many pet peeves for sure but it's still a fun time. I'd recommend on sale. High 3 out of 5.

Началась моя любовь к испанской эстетике и культуре с мною обожаемой [b]Blasphemous[/b], поэтому и на Crisol я обратила внимание не случайно. Здесь, правда, фольклорные мотивы поданы проще и скорее работают на атмосферу, чем на какие-то глубокие отсылки.

Игра в целом пропитана духом Андалусии, испанской мистики и традиций. Для многих этот пласт мифов может быть не самым знакомым, но здесь он воспринимается скорее как эстетическая основа. И, в общем-то, этого достаточно - игра не ощущается пустой.

[b]Crisol[/b] - проект небольшой студии из Испании, и это чувствуется, но в хорошем смысле. Мрачный, довольно неспешный, без всяких скримеров - такой лайтовый, нагнетающий хоррор. По словам разработчиков, они вдохновлялись [b]Bioshock[/b] и [b]Resident Evil[/b]. Мне же она ещё напомнила старые проекты вроде [b]Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth[/b].

Игра эстетична. Видов врагов, к сожалению, немного, но их образы интересные (в виде католических деревянных скульптур), и хотелось бы большего разнообразия. Локации не успевают наскучить [i](ладно, последняя немного нудновата)[/i], в каждой своя атмосфера.
Сначала - что-то вроде кабаре с католическим городским налётом, дальше - рабочие кварталы и шахты, а затем - храм с прибрежной зоной, где уже прям чувствуется вайб Resident Evil.

По геймплею всё довольно просто: 4 вида оружия, заряжаешь их кровью и разбираешься с врагами. Сюжет тоже без лишних заморочек, а головоломки занятные и несложные.

У игры довольно противоречивые отзывы, но это меня совсем не смутило - я с удовольствием прошла Crisol за несколько вечеров)

В итоге - игра не пытается прыгнуть выше головы, как атмосферный проект она отличная. Мне зашла, ставлю лайк - для своего масштаба вполне крепкий уровень.

Pretty darn fun game; it has a bit of the DNA of RE: Village mixed with some Bioshock, and adds a dash of familiarity with a different personality. I love the design of the overall world, environments, items, weapons, and monsters. Everything is a fun display of older horror shooters with a nice touch of modern presentation. The puzzles aren't super hard but require some thought. I enjoyed and got frustrated at a few. The music is good, fits what's going on, will sometimes be dreary, and the SFX are solid, with guns fairly punchy. The story is decent, at times interesting, but not pure cinema; some twists you'll probably guess, but still a good journey, and I wanted to see the end.

The worst thing about this game, and I'm really not trying to be mean, is the dialogue and voice acting. It's pretty unbearable. The cutscenes, characters, and lore flashbacks (whatever they are) come off cartoony and goofy vs. what's going on in the story/setting that displays a pretty dark theme. I can ignore stuff, but it's just plain bad, and I'm really stressing, not RE1 or The Room bad. It can honestly detract from some otherwise great and enjoyable sets and moments. However, I liked the main character's voice actor. I think he did a good job as a religious "right hand of God"... the majority of his dialogue was good.

But I definitely think if you like any touch of horror, or FPS that's sorta survival horror coded, Bioshock-y but unique, while mixed with somewhat older 2000's gaming style/tropes, definitely pick this up. This dev team should be proud of what they made. I wish there were some modern Survival Horror unlocks like other guns or infinite blood, but still, what a fun and challenging game. It's worth the asking price, let alone at a discount.

This game looks cool but wow does it sure suck. 45 minute walking simulator tutorial section followed by utterly rancid combat where you're supposed to shoot limbs off enemies that flop around erratically like it's Dead Space from Temu. Cringeworthy dialogue and voice acting ruins the setting that otherwise looks pretty neat. Runs terribly too, it definitely has optimization issues because I hit 120 FPS easily in games that look way better than this and I can barely maintain 90 FPS while it's using 100% of my GPU. Easiest refund of my life, I guess the game deserves credit for showing how bad it is right off the bat at least.

Realmente un juego interesante, no perfecto ni optimizado, pero sí llamativo. Con personalidad a pesar de sus errores, creo que me hubiera gustado más profundidad en la historia para compensar lo jugable, sabiendo que no era un estudio demasiado grande. Entra en algunos clichés y, como menciono, tiene errores.

Pero, dándole puntos a favor, me parece una fusión muy buena entre la base de Bioshock 1 y 2 y el aceptable Infinite, más que nada sacando la estética y un poco la trama de este último y refinando a los dos primeros, siendo una grata experiencia, con un gunplay satisfactorio.

Disfruté el juego y creo que, si mejoran sus formas de contar las historias, podrían llegar a hacer grandes joyas.

me llamo la atencion por ser de un estudio español y ademas a un precio muy bajo, probe la demo y lo deje en la cesta, mezcla bioshock de una forma bastante inteligente con una historia interesante y unos escenarios muy buenos, una duracion de 10-15H y bien repartidas, puzles que te pueden atrancar y un combate con la sangre haciendo de municion que es diferente al resto con ganas de que venga lo suficiente y se pongan con una segunda parte que corrija algunas cositas.

El juego resulta extremadamente monótono en todos sus apartados. Desde el diseño sonoro hasta las mecánicas de combate, se percibe una falta de profundidad que arruina la experiencia rápidamente.

Repetitividad: Solo existe un efecto de sonido para cada acción y, para colmo, se reproducen en bucle de forma innecesaria.

Ambientación: La música es prácticamente inexistente. Los disparos suenan planos, sin potencia, y no existe ningún tipo de feedback visual o auditivo que te confirme si has impactado al enemigo o no.

Mecánicas pobres: El combate no ofrece reto ni variedad. Los enemigos mueren sistemáticamente tras cinco disparos en cualquier parte del cuerpo.

Sistema de progresión inútil: No se siente ninguna diferencia entre usar el arma básica o una mejorada; el resultado es el mismo, lo que invalida cualquier sentido de progresión.

IA y Reacciones: Las "estatuas" no reaccionan a nada, salvo cuando reciben un disparo en la cabeza, el cual no las elimina instantáneamente. No hay dinamismo ni gracia en los enfrentamientos.

La narrativa es el cliché de siempre: una excusa básica para justificar por qué estás en un lugar disparando a todo lo que se mueve. No logra enganchar ni dar un contexto interesante al mundo del juego.

Es un título que se siente vacío y poco pulido. La falta de estímulos táctiles y sonoros convierte lo que debería ser un combate tenso en un trámite aburrido.

生化危机+生化奇兵，同时因为游戏唯一的资源是主角的血量以及背包格子无限，不存在库存管理。后期战斗压力大难度略高，部分场景微恐，整体不过不失，算是可以一玩的生存恐怖游戏。

PS：很多关卡不能走回头路，建议如果当前已有可解锁路径的关键道具，就及时回去开门做收集，等触发了剧情后可能就回不去了。

Cool concept well executed, definitely a great time, but with a few nitpicks.

On the positive side, the looks of the weapons were absolutely incredible. Every new area I went to I was excited to find the new weapon to see how it would look after the transformation and in what way you would mutilate yourself to reload it. Destroying the wooden puppets is very viscerally satisfying, and the combat/puzzle balance never tips too far into one being annoying while the other is underused.

On the nitpick side, the concept does have a few flaws built in. When your health pool and ammo pool are effectively the same, the only type of consumable that can drop is health, and if you’re good with your shots then health never really becomes an issue. I eventually stopped breaking boxes because I had max. healing items, and ended with like 15 of the knife sharpening gas cans because I didn’t really need the knife either. And a few times I would be exploring an area trying to clear the map, just to go through a door or jump through a window that would close and lock behind me, meaning I’d never be able to get what I missed in that section of the map. And when the boxes with blood vials count for completing the map, it gets hard to know if what you’re missing is a secret, a vial, or both.

TLDR, Though it might be rough on completionists, and isn’t really scary so much as action-y, it’s still worth a play for the fun combat and visuals.

Historia interesante, ambientación buenísima (con esa españa alternativa combinando carnaval semana santa e inquisición), la música te mete mucho en el ambiente, el diseño ESPECTACULAR (me a encantado la ambientación con muchos detalles y bien hechos), los personajes (principalmente los enemigos), la jugabilidad no es la mejor pero en líneas generales muy bien hecho, las dinámicas muy buenas ( el hecho de que la munición sea el HP es genial).
Y dos puntos MUY POSITIVOS a remarcar son el hecho de estar íntegramente en castellano y el precio de salida.

This was a fantastic and unique game that I really enjoyed playing through. The twist in the end is a little predictable, but also part of it caught me entirely off guard. What I want to praise about this game the most, outside of a unique style game and a lovely aesthetic, is the SOUND! I cannot praise the sound design in this game enough. The music is beautiful, but the sounds that creak all around you in the environment sound so realistic I thought at times I could hear things in my roof. Overall, the game itself is not overly difficult, puzzles here and there, enemies to get through while Dolores stalks you. The idea of using your own blood as ammo was really cool as well. Now, for the love of all that is holy... PLEASE make the damn boat faster XD The boat can die, but otherwise this game was awesome :) Highly recommend!

8/10 game.

Actually hard and entertaining puzzles, fun blood mechanics (I wish they actually expanded more on it tho) and gorgeous visuals.

I have a paretty beefy PC and actually struggled to get more than 100+ fps on medium settings (must have been me maybe?) which is not great honestly, but the art direction is amazing, the gameplay overall pretty solid.

Enemy variety unfortunantly is scarse, the game has also little (but pretty fun) bosses and the combat can get a little stale at times.

I feel like this game has huge potential, I actually VERY liked the story. I hope for more ng+ weapons and mechanics to expand and make the game more replayable. And at the end I would be thrilled to buy a sequel.
