Bom jogo, é um remaster do PSP, que conta a historia do Zack, que não é tão explorado em FF7, e nesse ele é o protagonista.
O jogo é curto, a historia principal da para zerar em uma tarde, ele se estende mais se voce decidir fazer a missões secundarias que são basicamente iguais e conseguem ser mais desafiadoras que a historia.
O valor cheio do jogo que é 219,90 (versão padrão) acho muito caro para ele, recomendo comprar em uma promoção, normalmente fica por 88 reais.

It's a fun game with a cool story, but the amount of battles is just absurd. I can't even walk more than two feet without getting put into another battle. Not to mention just how stupid some fights are. I've tried multiple times to just suck it up and barge through it, but it's impossible. I love this game, it has a good story and it does have some silly aspects. But in terms of combat, it's horrible. I don't get how people find this appealing.

Really wanted to like this game but it felt very repetitive after a while and I just wanted to get it over with. The dialogue can get atrociously bad at times and the story is okay I guess. Don't have it in me to put a thumbs down on it because I didn't hate it but I didn't enjoy it either.

This game made me tear up because of the ending. Zack quickly became one of my favorite characters in the series and this game is because of that. Story wise it didn't really catch me but I did love the characters (Tseng honestly became an unexpected favorite). The gameplay is very one note and honestly had to take breaks from playing it because of how repetitive it felt. Granted, I did try to do most of the missions in one sitting so that added to that feeling of it feeling like a chore. Most people have complaints about Zack's new voice but honestly I didn't mind it. Could be because I never played the original but it fits him tbh.

Highly recommend getting this game on sale if you've played og ffvii or you're looking to pick it up after playing the remakes (be wary due to spoilers).

Amazing prequel to FFVII. I won't spoil too much, but this game really filled in the gaps for the FFVII story for me, like how and why Cloud is the way he is for most of FFVII, why Hojo was experimenting on him. It also gives Zack a lot more characterization than the original game did. You also see him flirt with Aerith and understand why she is attracted to Cloud in the OG game too. Although, I also do like how Zack's more optimistic and nonchalant personality contrasts Cloud's more moody personality in the original game. Zack is an amazing protagonist. This also lays the seeds for the Remake trilogy's more action-oriented combat as opposed to the turn-based/ATB of most of the classic FFs.

Contradictory to most FFs though, it is significantly shorter. This makes sense as it was originally made for the PSP. I never had one of those as a kid, as I was grew up exclusively on Nintendo at the time. Given this though, I wanted as authentic of an experience as possible, so I opted to play it pretty much exclusively on the Steam Deck. It looked and ran great on there. It was a nice glow-up after FFVII Rebirth was barely able to run on there. The side missions also are good for handhelds as they can be completed in short chunks at a time. I only did about 20% of them to get through the main story. But it does help if you grind those, get Firaga, Thundaga, and Blizzara and a few extra spells and levels. That makes the rest of the game a breeze to get through.

Story and characters are AMAZING! like the main series counterpart. Seeing Zach's story and getting the extra lore behind everything is great.

Everything else though is lack luster. Combat feels horrible. The game is unbelievably grindy. Bosses just have bunch of health, and just annoying to fight. The sephiroth fight in the reactor was horrible, the fast devastating sephiroth, was slow with a bunch of health and teleports AND he can summon in little gem things attuned to different elements. After that part of the fight sephiroth is about to push you off a bridge fight after that. Which if you are not leveled enough, you cannot beat it no matter what and have to restart the entire sephiroth fight. I was very close to not being able to beat it but the gambling system got really lucky and got enough buffs to beat him.

Sadly, I dropped the game during the Hollander boss fight. It was just another fight with a stupid amount of health and annoying moves. This time it wasnt even a cool guy like sephiroth it was Hollander. So i just stopped there.

Prequel of the FFVII, however, it doesn't hurt to play after FFVII Remake.

Story is very good, almost cried at [spoiler]any Aerith scene and Zack's final stand.[/spoiler]
[spoiler]Still can't get why Zack was listed dead after Nibelheim incident. Okay, he and Cloud became Hojo's crazy *ss experiment's subjects, but why? If it is because of the incident, blame Sephiroth.[/spoiler]

I can't get why, but in my experience, cut scenes were low-quality. No major impact in my gameplay, but made it harder to watch important cut scenes. (Every graphical setting were already set to High, never had any problems with game graphics)

Gameplay is too repetitive. A lot of missions, good to grind equipments and materials; but if you want to 100%, it is just a torture. Also, DMW is basically gambling, gacha, slot, whatever you call. If you want to 100% this game, you are [b]highly dependent[/b] on game's RNG. AFKing M1-1-1 and equipping limit break materia helps, however, it may take hours to max DMW images. This is boring, after getting into lots of repetitive missions.

[spoiler]Minerva is another thing, hard mode HP is 77777777 (IIRC), which is just insane. Some people beat it, but I can't unless I am in Normal Mode (beating it in Normal mode doesn't affect your hard mode completion achievement, JYFI). :')
As max damage is capped at 99999, defeating Minerva is something tedious and time-consuming. This fact unfortunately contributes to repetitive gameplay part.[/spoiler]

However, I really enjoyed the game besides trying to 100% it.

i have finished this in the psp days lols, and now i kinda dont actually remember everything that happened here in detail.. ah, im getting old, memory is not the same.. sad..

but GAME is still pretty good, great improvements on the graphics, some issues with the camera though, too in ur face, you have difficulty sometimes seeing the enemy so you cant dodge properly, but just a slight discomfort and i like hard games, so i just treat that as a "challenge" and spam dodges lols..

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion delivers a compelling prequel story that expands the world of Final Fantasy VII in meaningful ways. The narrative is engaging, with strong emotional beats—especially toward the ending (no spoilers) and in the quieter moments between Zack and Aerith. Zack himself is a classic protagonist: optimistic, energetic, and driven by a strong moral compass. While not particularly complex, he’s undeniably likable and serves the story well. The connection to Final Fantasy VII is handled excellently, adding depth for fans already invested in the universe.

Gameplay is a mixed bag. The real-time combat system is accessible and fluid, but ultimately lacks depth, which can make encounters feel repetitive over time. While I enjoy both turn-based and modern combat systems, this one leans too heavily toward simplicity. The Digital Mind Wave (DMW) system, however, is a standout mechanic—its slot-machine style buffs and limit breaks add unpredictability and flair to battles. Unfortunately, mission design and enemy variety are quite redundant, and the encounter system—where enemies spawn into isolated combat instances that require the environment to reload afterward—slows the pacing considerably.

The mission-based structure feels repetitive, and the locations themselves are serviceable but limited in scope. You rarely get a sense of a larger, living world due to the game’s structure. On the positive side, the soundtrack is excellent and enhances the emotional weight of key scenes. Visually, the Reunion remaster is very well done, bringing character models and environments up to modern standards while preserving the original’s identity.

The road to 100% completion is extremely grind-heavy. While the main story could likely be completed in around 10 hours, pursuing full completion stretched my playtime to nearly 60 hours. Much of that time was spent repeating missions and farming for completion requirements, which may test the patience of completionists.

Highlights include the emotional story moments and the expanded lore for Final Fantasy VII fans. However, the repetitive mission structure, shallow combat depth, and pacing issues hold it back from true greatness.

Overall, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is a worthwhile experience for fans of Final Fantasy VII who want deeper insight into its world and characters. However, due to its repetitive structure and grind-heavy completion, it’s harder to recommend to newcomers looking for a more modern or varied RPG experience.

While lots of characters are forgettable and/or annoying, the game still is as wonderful as I remember.
(I am Biased since this was the first mind blowing and emotional game I played as a child)

I still like Zack more than cloud. (PSP crisis core was my first FF game and I played og FF7 after)
The ending still hit the same as it did in my childhood.
The edginess (I thought was cool as a child) is not as cool anymore but still charming to me.
The builds have insane possibilities and this is the og combat system that inspired ff7 remake+.
The quests are certainly dated.
The villains are mostly meh outside of the obvious ones from FF7.

Boy do I have a grudge with this game. 옛날 PSP로 반정도 하다가 방치...
다시 하기엔 너무 오랜 시간이 지났다가 리마스터가 나왔다는 소식에 구매할까 했더니, 다들 평이 50% 이상 할인할 때 사라더군요.
스토리는 어차피 이미 오래된 고전겜이라 알고 있고, 추억을 되살리고자 하는 정도라 세일을 기다려서 구매했음에도 불구하고 제가 18년전에 왜 하차했는지 알 것 같은 게임성이었습니다.
별것도 아닌데 코앞의 목적을 이루지 못하고 계속 빙빙 돌리기만 하는 스토리, 액션RPG의 탈을 쓰고 있지만 실상은 컨트롤 능력이 사실상 도움이 되지 않고 깡스탯으로 전투해야하는 게임성, 스탯과 레벨업은 랜덤에 맡기는 시스템 등등.
말 그대로 엔딩연출, 그리고 FF7 본편과 연계되는 몇몇 컷씬을 보려는 스토리적 의무감 없이는 재미없어서 못하겠네요.

My biggest connection to the Final Fantasy franchise is through Final Fantasy VII and Kingdom Hearts. Growing up, I had a PS2 and Kingdom Hearts, and that was mostly my exposure to Final Fantasy until later in my teenage years, when I started getting into the games more seriously.

I first played Final Fantasy VII in 2019, and I absolutely fell in love with it. It was a game I thought I already knew all the major events of, simply because it was such a cultural zeitgeist. It felt like one of those stories that everyone just “knows”—like how someone who has never watched Star Wars can still understand its major plot points due to its cultural popularity. That’s how FF7 felt to me.

Playing Final Fantasy VII was an absolute delight because I couldn’t believe how many moments were still complete surprises. Characters such as Crisis Core’s main protagonist, Zack, were a total surprise to me. I had assumed he was created exclusively for that game and nothing more. Experiencing the original Final Fantasy VII and understanding Zack’s importance—and how his motivations shaped Cloud—not only made Cloud a deeply layered character, but also clarified what he was truly fighting for.

Much like my earlier experience with the franchise, I completely missed Crisis Core during the PSP era, despite owning the system. It was a blind spot for me. After all these years, I finally sat down and experienced Crisis Core through the remaster, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion.

After all this time, I’ve finally completed Crisis Core, and what an experience it was. At a lean 12 hours or so, it was all killer, no filler. The game follows Zack Fair and his journey to becoming a hero. The gameplay felt like an awesome blend of Kingdom Hearts energy with that distinct Final Fantasy identity—I could definitely see where the inspiration overlapped.

Crisis Core tells a powerful story about the legendary hero Zack Fair and “The Price of Freedom.” By the end, I was holding my controller in awe at how impactful the finale was. While Zack’s fate may be well known, experiencing the events and meeting the characters along the way added so much weight to that ending. I can’t recall a video game ending in recent years that made me feel that way. For me, it stands as a near-perfect conclusion.

Crisis Core is the definition of a prequel done right. It meaningfully adds to the events of what comes after and enhances the overall experience of Final Fantasy VII.

With the Final Fantasy franchise, I’m often reminded of how frustrated I am that I didn’t immerse myself in these characters and stories at an earlier age. I continue to adore the Final Fantasy VII cast and narrative more and more—through the original game, its spin-offs, and even the Remake. I’ve been loving this reintroduction to these characters and the new ways their stories are being told.

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is a must-play for anyone who has experienced Final Fantasy VII. You owe it to yourself to witness the man from Gongaga become a legendary hero.

Gracias a que este remaster salió para PC, tuve la posibilidad de explorar este título.
Muy buen juego, una historia, que si bien no está al nivel del Final Fantasy VII (Por lógicas razones, es un prólogo), muy entretenida.
Zack Fair es de mis personajes favoritos y es por este juego (también por su breve aparición en Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep pero eso es aparte), en el VII aparece muy poco, obviamente, la historia que cuenta este juego pega mucho, especialmente para los que jugaron el VII, un Hack and Slash RPG de PSP muy entretenido, pero también tengo que admitir que no me gusta el sistema DMW (Digital Mind Wave o traducido, Onda Mental Digital), en varios puntos, en mi opinión, arruina la experiencia, pero admito que en el momento final, pega mucho, pero bueno, este título lo recomiendo principalmente por la historia, pero es una experiencia bien entretenida.

I'm not going to give this game a bad review because I just didnt play long enough. But its not a game for me. Game play and graphics are just ok. Combat is ok also. I wasn't able to stay awake while I played it, only 7 in the evening and I kept dozing to sleep with my fingers still on the key board. For me the game is a snoozer. ZZZZzzzzzzz!

I don't need to know more of Zacks background. I am sure some of you, you will be in heaven with this game, But, for me it's a deleter game.

Final Fantasy Crisis Core Reunion is a fantastic experience for fans of the series! Through the perspective of as Zack, a young and idealistic SOLDIER, the game immerses you in the inner workings of Shinra and its corporate war machine, letting you witness events and characters from a unique perspective. Interacting with characters like Sephiroth, seeing his early brilliance and subtle tragedies, and uncovering the backstory of the world adds layers of emotional depth that truly enrich the lore of Final Fantasy VII. Meanwhile, Zack’s shared experience with Cloud and Tifa gives huge depth to their relationship, expanding their connection and the traumas of Nibelheim, which shaped the bonds that carry into the beginning of Final Fantasy VII.

The emotional weight of the story is remarkable. The budding young love between Zack and Aerith is heartfelt and beautiful, sweet in its innocence and tenderness. Sephiroth’s tragic arc is also compelling, where his loneliness, pride, and descent into obsession are potrayed with nuance, giving weight to his transformation from brilliant SOLDIER hero to legendary villain. The cruelty and ambitions of Professor Hojo and the Shinra organization underline the harsh realities of the world Zack inhabits.

Combat in Crisis Core is pretty basic for today's standards, but fast, high-energy, and responsive, perfectly capturing Zack’s agility and power. Fusing materia adds a fun layer of strategy, and it is immensely satisfying to find overpowering combinations, feeling almost like you’ve broken the game even on hard mode. Side missions can feel somewhat repetitive, but given the PSP’s design for short, digestible play sessions, they are understandable, and reward you with useful items and bonuses.

The game’s storytelling shines in the ending as well. If you know the lore, you know what happens, but Crisis Core shows how it happens with a wide range of emotions that hits hard if you allow yourself to feel them.

Experiencing Crisis Core brought me a profound depth to the Final Fantasy VII story. Zerith is REAL!

I actually didn't like this game at first, but holy it grows on you fast. Once you understand the materia fusion system and start knocking out a lot of the side missions, something in your brain just clicks. Also the story was a bit confusing and questionable but really damn good in the end.

An extremely well made remaster that 100% respects the original source material! The devs showed this game love and care in the quality department, too. Whether you have played the original PSP version (I had years ago) or not, this one is DEFINITELY a must play for VII fans!

Temos aqui um Prequel dos acontecimentos de FF VII. Esse jogo é um remastered e mantem muito da essencial do jogo original de PSP, de 2007.

[b] 2. Opiniões e Conclusões [/b]

Sinto que por ser um remastered e não um remake, voce sente o peso de um jogo de 2007 já que, pouca coisa de peso foi repaginada além dos visuais.

A parte da gameplay é o arroz e feijão que conhecemos da série, interessante mas sem surpresas. O que vai brilhar e muito nesse jogo é a história.

Aqui você vai conhecer todo o passado dos personagens que estão em FF VII, tudo que motivou eles serem quem são e fazerem o que fazem, todos os traumas e tramas apresentados lá, tiveram seu início aqui e isso é um ponto fortíssimo para o jogo.

De longe a parte mais legal foi assistir uma cena e conseguir linkar ela com acontecimentos dos outros jogos e soltar aquele “aaaaaaaaah ta explicado!!!”

Again, no nostalgia bias here. The gameplay is good but grinding for completion, defeating minerva, is rough. I like the idea of widening the lore by giving zach's story but i think it can be expanded further. Deepening his relationship with aerith more scenes of them meetings. Maybe more boy to boy bonding with cloud. But it's good enough i guess.
