Hope you're reading this developer, after seeing your videos on my recommended on you testing your games on the steam frame, i wanted to go and buy the game to support you.
I hope when the steam frame releases this game works as a tech demo for all the features steam frame has to offer (eg, foveated rendering, native arm support), excited to try this game out once i get a steam frame

i loved the videos on this game growing up, but finally getting my hands on it so long later it shows it's age in a bad way, and with so few options for comfort (i cannot stand snap turn) and a very strange movement system, i cannot recommend it for anything other than a collectable gem
Game set the standard for climbing in VR. Don't mind the skybox and grid textures. MP is still pretty great. Only way the game has aged is it was made for arm-swinging locomotion on Vive Wands, joystick support doesn't quite feel as nice as it should

Probably the most fun you could have in VR back when this released, next to VRChat. It probably hasnt aged as well now, but there was a lot of fun levels to climb together with friends while goofing around in VC.
Everyone should climb "The Mighty OoVee" at least once if they ever play this, its basically a right of passage if you get VR.
Put on some good music and get to it.
Get it on sale if you are curious, could still be fun but I would imagine there are better climbing games out there by now.

But I wish there was more levels because these 15 can be finished in 1 hour.
If you like climbing, I would highly recommend also the "Windlands" (especially the second one) and "TO THE TOP" - which has much more levels, plus great music, challenges and speed! Oh, I should replay it sometime.

so much fun. great game to zone out to with friends or alone. the workshop maps are grueling but thankfully the devs left in a bug that allows you to grab onto friends and float. the movement is probably my favorite in VR next to Boneworks

This is really a glorified tech demo popular for one week then died in a atari pit of fire.
My pantaloons are browned, would recommend to anyone with a chronic fear of heights

co-op mode is pointless due to the fact disconnects make it impossible to do endurance maps cause of lost progress and no way to teleport back to where you were. that can be so annoying and frustrating considering some maps take hours to complete. so until some sort of solution is brought to the game say like host teleportation with a prompt to the player to accept to be then teleported to host, or some permanent checkpoint for players on DC or set manually and re spawned on said checkpoint upon reconnect.
until then, i cannot recommend for co-op play and in some instances solo play due to this issue.

If this game had Joystick Movement (that worked properly) and having a turn (that also worked properly) This would be a better game, turning manually especially when you are connected via wires is a actual problem. It really is a fun little concept, and I would recommend this for anyone who runs VR wireless, but for anyone that is bound by cords, I would recommend you stay away from this.

this game is trash when it comes to great leaps or any sort of complex jump it makes you do, it's completely up to if the sun is shining bright or if you got a lucky charm up your prostate that day to if your gonna make that jump or completely hit the void of complete bad game design. Also good luck playing this game if your short cause you're gonna not be able to grab anything. 5/10

If you are looking for climbing, look for a game with more content. This game was really cool back in 2018 when I first got my VR headset, but now that I have had it for a little bit, there is *no* reason to buy this game anymore.

The low file size and low performance requirements make this my go-to VR game when I'm trying to download something else. I'm glad this game is still getting updated, even if it's nothing too big. I wish there was more of an active community but with how old (I first played this sometime in 2017 at a friend's house, the steam page is inaccurate on the actual release date) and simple this game is compared to other VR titles, I understand why there aren't any active servers. I'm excited to see what the next game these guys make is.

Eins der besten VR Spiele aller Zeiten! Eines dieser Spiele, die einfach zu verstehen, aber verdammt schwierig zu meistern sind. Die Steuerung ist extrem fair und die Kletterphysik unglaublich befriedigend umgesetzt. Vor allem die Level aus dem Workshop und das gemeinsame (teils auch kooperative) Klettern im Mehrspielermodus machen Climbey zu einem super Gesamtpaket. This game is a vibe, simple and relaxing, if you like climbing I truly recommend!
It's a simple little game, but I like it. You can play at your own pace and listen to your own music on the in-game radio while you do it.

The mechanics are very intuitive (I turned on controller based movement as well as triggers for jumping) and you can really fly thru the air extremely fast. Proves to me that a VR port of Portal should happen and the worries about motion sickness are unfounded. Great game with 15 base levels and then another 1,000 in the workshop. You'll get your money's worth with this for sure.
Climbey is a simple climbing game that is enhanced by its great community. it has plenty of good maps and if you need a nice at home exercise then this game is good for you!

very poor index support. don't buy if you have an idex.
at first i thought the controls were just bad on index, but after looking at the reviews it seems that they're just bad in general, but they're particularly bad on index because of the knuckle controls.
i tested this for myself by trying the trigger only mode, and they were just as bad.
dev has acknowledged this on the forums many times but is clearly one of those "take the money and run" devs that treat every very real issue with the game as a petty complaint.
(my reply to the developer's response) - for the sake of transparency i completed the tutorial stages in roughly an hour. i'd think it's safe to say i got used to the controls, but that doesn't make them good or enjoyable to use by any stretch of the word. when seasoned veterans of the game complain about inconsistent jumping, that should say something. there comes a point where the mechanics of a game are bad enough for it not to feel very rewarding when you get the hang of them - because it feels like there's no rhyme or reason to it. it's a prime example of the "steep learning curve" argument not always being a valid excuse.
i think this game is built off of a good concept for sure, but it just wasn't executed as well as it could have been, and could be way more enjoyable of an experience with a more refined jumping mechanic that's actually consistent and responsive. i imagine this game may have been good for it's time at release in the early days of VR, but i do believe it hasn't aged very well, and could do with a better installment.
and believe me, i'm not going out of my way to be entitled or unreasonable, i made very sure to check if this was only a problem i was facing, and discovered that a pretty big majority of the community have these issues.
supposedly finished, the developer gave up on giving it features, what remains is a bare bones climbing game that relies on workshop levels, but they are rarely good. The level editor itself is dysfunctional, if you want any hope of making a level you have to use outside tools. There's no variety in graphics, every level being grey and white. Controls are clunky and can be very frustrating. Only redeeming quality is playing with friends, but anything with friends is fun, even taking a DOO DOO with friends is fun.
TLDR maybe buy on sale to play with friends, but don't dare play solo
