Absolutely fantastic. Hunting, foraging, cat politics, living in a colony with all that entails but in cute pixelated form. Love it and high recommend. Even the music and the ambiance is great, and the story already has me hooked. Planning to get Wildwood asap!

Very chill game with a simple set of skills to upgrade and the ability to create your own colony. Base building is pretty simple but you can get creative by placing fireflies as lights, etc. Not a massive time sink and you can max your skills and finish the game pretty quickly depending on how you play. Also, the kittens are cute as heck.

It is very fun to play because there are lots of things to do like hunt, forage, battle, restore the arcane pillars, etc. It can also be relaxing because of the nice music.

Adorable game!! The main storyline itself is quite easy to complete and only took me a few hours, but there is still lots of play value after that with secrets hidden in the landscape, cats to marry and kittens to raise, and diplomacy (or rivalry) to be had with other cat groups. Highly recommend <3

Love this game, started following it prerelease and have tons of hours, but I forgot to leave a review until now. While the graphics are a bit chunkier than its sequel, I think this version is still worth playing. I love the clan dynamics and all of the different characters. Sometimes I feel bad about claiming too much territory, which adds a fun story dynamic. The inventory can get a bit annoying, but cats don't have pockets, so I guess it keeps me from being too much of a hoarder.

I LOVE this game. I have played it since 2018-2019, I believe, and have nearly 140 hours on it (I was unable to log into my steam account since 2023 but I fixed it! yay!).
I recommend it SO much, and have recently gotten the second game (after having wanted it since it was accounced) and spent about 8 hours on it so far, I'm so excited.

I love playing as a cat, but this game did not convince me. It feels like there's no story, no connection to the NPCs (even the one I started dating), no reason really to keep going, and what awaits you as a feral cat in this game seems to be mostly danger and death.
With that said, this game feels both boring AND stressful. Not the cat simulator I was looking for.
Maybe the problem is I was never into Warrior Cats. I hear for fans of Warrior Cats this is great.

Unfortunately, it's not really my kind of game. I was already tired of searching for rats in the tutorial. I really don't understand how a game like this can generate so much praise. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying “you're all wrong and I'm right,” far from it. I'm just saying that I bought it, as I always do, following these simple rules: is it the kind of game I like? Yes. Are the reviews positive? Yes. Does it have good longevity, meaning has anyone played it for more than 100 hours? Yes. Then I go ahead and buy it. And in this case, as in many other cases in the past, I bitterly regret it. I don't know, now I buy a game after careful research, play it for 10 hours max, then go back to the usual RimWorld and Civilization V. Have I changed? Or is what was considered a “usual little game” years ago now considered a masterpiece?
Seems to be mostly a sim about being a feral cat.
Hunting and killing every animal not a cat, possibly except moles. You can definitely live out the fantasy of murdering a LOT of prey animals just like a real cat in the outdoors.
Also has magical cat powers. you get them by fulfilling random quests and collecting coins/points to buy the powers.
Also you get xp which allows you to upgrade skills and buy powers.
You can also make a cat family, and raise little kittens.
I think it's pretty fun overall.
at first I didn't like it, but it's actually pretty fun to get into the routine of hunting and foraging and stuff.

this game is super cute and fun, my friend and I started playing in fifth grade. The story quest is pretty easy but you can also just play it as a sandbox sort of game, both are really fun. the graphics are so cute and I love grinding on this game sm.

I mostly got this for the kids and probably won’t play it too much, so I only have a few things to mention.
On normal difficulty it seems getting started is a bit slow. I had to spend all my time hunting to avoid starving. I’m assuming after gaining enough XP to raise skills this will be less of a problem, but it means you probably need to spend a few hours of grind at the start especially.
So main thing is, just because it looks cutsie don’t expect it to be super easy at least in normal mode. It’s not super difficult either though, since I didn’t immediately get killed by a wolf or a gang of cats or something. But don’t expect super rapid story development.
And of course it’s not a realistic cat simulator, but it probably wouldn’t be much fun if it were.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS GAME!! I love the little story to it and i also adore its style and gameplay mechanics. This game heavily reminds me of warrior cats untold tales which just led me to liking this game even more since they're so alike but this game is more of an "upgraded" version than it at least from how i see it. I heavily recommend this game if you're into warrior cats though! <3

Hello! I have known about this game since the year it was released; I was 11 years old back then. In the Russian social network VK, in a community dedicated to Warriors Cats, a news post appeared saying that a game inspired by this book series had been released. Both then and now, I love Warriors Cats, so I was overjoyed, as I had always wanted to play something like this.
Eight years ago, I didn’t know how to use Steam and didn’t have any money, so I had to download a pirated version from some other site. I played this game for a very long time — I remember creating a couple, building my own clan, and learning about a bird called the blue jay thanks to this game. I also remember trying to understand what the characters were saying using a translator, since my English was not very good.
At some point, I stopped playing — school, personal matters. But now, after so many years, I finally found some free time and was able to officially buy this game!!
I really enjoy the game’s style and gameplay. Hunting, skill progression, interactions with characters (even though this gameplay element is inspired by Stardew Valley) — everything is very engaging! I feel the same childhood joy from Cattails again. I plan to create a clan again and start a big family with Missy.
I also bought another one of your games, "Cattails Wildwood Story". I haven’t played it yet, but the trailer looks very interesting. Your studio has clearly grown in artistry, which is very noticeable in the character assets.

If you liked the Warriors books as a kid or still like them now, this game feels exactly like stepping into that world. I always wanted a proper Warriors cat video game growing up, and this is honestly everything I hoped for. You can tell the dev poured so much love and care into every little detail. From the way the cats interact to how the world feels alive, it’s super accurate to the vibe of the books. It scratches that nostalgia itch in the best way possible. Autism hyperfixation fully unlocked with this one, and I’m not even mad about it.
So this is actually super cute. Basically Stardew Valley with cats. I love it.

Cattails is one of the most enjoyable and whimsical games I've played. I love it for the gameplay features, it has so many different paths that you can take and the customization on relationships is out of this world! The fact that you have a whole process to date and marry and have kittens is just so fun to me! It wastes my time in just the right way.
It also supports PC and controller controls! I usually play my steam games on my steam console, so playing on a PC will be a new experience. I recommend this to all ages, its a calming yet enjoyable and active game that will keep your mind moving!
This game seems pretty simple on the surface, but I keep being surprised by how much there is to do/discover the more I play. I like that the pixel graphics feel like the dev's own rather than a complete copy-paste of another game. I'm glad the game doesn't hold my hand every step of the way, but occasionally I do have to search online for what I'm supposed to do in different situations; I could very well just be an idiot, but regardless I'm sometimes left scratching my head. This game is also just so unique since you're literally playing as a cat; stalking/pouncing your prey, carrying things in your mouth, using your claws for things, etc. So far this game has been really fun and I haven't gotten very far yet haha. I for sure recommend.

MAN, I love this game so SO much (clearly). In terms of gameplay, think Stardew Valley had a child with the Warrior Cats Franchise... which makes sense, considering Falcon Development is responsible for my favourite fanwork of all time (Warrior Cats Untold Tales).
If you like cosy games (and cats!), I highly recommend this adorable pixel game, or it's second part; Untold Tales. Exploration, storytelling and characterisation is all top tier and adorable, especially Krampy.
