Bought CCGM recently for Win 11, Nvidia RTX 4060, PCU i7 - 14700 and it is performing beautifully. A wonderful and addicting game that is nearly 14 years old. I have been playing in both Default mode and Beta mode. No problems - except for a few screen freezes. I realise that auto pathfinding is an aid and helpful but, direct control of vehicles is generally the best way to proceed. Vehicles can use "Assist" to get them to follow the leader which is very helpful. It is so much better than Carrier Command 2 in every way - graphics, variety of missions, story, controls, ease of play, structure etc. The First Person sections are a bit tedious but still interesting. Highly recommended and very re-playable.

Going back to this game everything works really well on the Steam Deck with full controller support. The graphics still look really good in this game and the game play is interesting .... well thats what I wrote at first until my Walruses stop responding to assist commands. 9 out of 10 people shouldn't bother with this game. The basic game design is cool, moving a mothership across to different islands as you deploy various ships to capture points and destroy enemies. Similar to Homeworld, although much simpler. Where it falls apart and why most people should skip it is the game very heavily relies on the pathfinding of your AI units to carry out your orders, and the pathfinding is absolutely horrible. Some of the worst I've ever seen in RTS type games.

If you are immune to frustration and have the patience of a saint, then there is some neat parts to this game, but there's far better ways to spend your time.

Es wäre schön wenn der Entwickler das ganze nochmal mit einem Bugfix Patch versehen würde.

Man landet mitten im Spiel auf den Desktop ohne Hinweis darauf was schief gelaufen ist.

Bought the game a year after its original PC release. Haven't been able to play it ever since the game crashed during the tutorial (Even with all the workarounds), due to Bohemia never fixing any of the bugs/issues with the game, which by the way was reported multiple times after release.

This is one of those games that really shouldn't have been allowed onto Steam. I mean, it felt more like a game that was rushed and never really finished its dev cycles.

Частые вылеты со сбросом настроек. Ужасно тупые юниты, постоянно надо микрить базовые действия. Бомба, при сбросе с Манты, может шотнуть саму Манту, при малейшем отклонении от идеально прямого курса, еще и кидать ее надо на глаз. Ужасные сегменты с шутером в кампании(каждый из них). Кампания в целом ужасная, с одним только отличающимся от всего в положительную штурмом Thermopylae. Практически до конца кампании вражеский авианосец можно "шотнуть" артой с корабля.

Сеттинг и сами юниты мне очень понравились, кампанию прошел для галочки. Буду заходить в режим тактической игры.

Сделав скидку на все ужасные косяки, ведь игра 2012г от маленькой инди кампании могу порекомендовать етот шедевар только жоским любителям РТС.

Если выбрать бету в свойствах игры в стиме, ситуация гораздо лучше. Игра обновляется до 1.7, боты становятся поумнее, а бомбы и торпеды не взрываются сразу. С модом ситуация еще лучше. Запускать в режиме совместимости с Виндавс 7. Еххххх вот бы била так шоб игры всегда сразу нормальные выходили...

Buggy as hell. Terrible tutorial. Offensively stupid backstory. Vehicle pathfinding is an unfunny joke, unless you enjoy seeing armor getting stuck on a tree or trying unsuccessfully to navigate their way around a pebble only to backtrack and start again over and over. Mediocre graphics, everything looks like a cheap knockoff generic sci fi toy set you get on Temu for 3$. And the cherry on top, the carrier teleports between islands. Not Bohemia's finest hour, if you really want to play a Carrier Command game pass this one and get CC2.

Played this because I was feeling nostalgic from the XBOX 360 demo version
The story is honestly horrible, and the scripted animations go from bad to reaaally bad
I finished it just because I was bored of other games, but It didn't feel any satisfaction from this.

If you want to still play it go ahead, but expect the campaign to be 90% doing the exact same thing over and over again. The FPS gameplay is really porrly made, just moving around (and for some reason your character will sometimes run at snail speed), activating stuff, clicking to kill enemies and that it

The strategy gameplay is way better but still lacking stuff, the AI from both your units and the enemy really can´t get some stuff done other than going through straight roads (expect a lot of frustration if you encounter a bridge lol), and wasting a lot of ammo trying to kill an enemy through a wall. The AI is good for combat when it comes to calculating projectile drop due to distance or for destreoying buildings (NOT TURRETS)

I'd say the best thing from this game is the enviromental work, while It's not the best in graphics, the storms, and each island unique weather will give you both trouble to deal with enemies (you don't see well but the spotting system of the HUD helps a lot) and at the same time a fair sense of immersion from sounds, light and day/night cucles with changing weather

I never finished my arsenal because the production mechanic isn't explained deep or good enough and I basically finished the game with 50+ things queued

Expect the game to crash, specially when a scripted animation, change of gameplay are close, the same thing when arriving at islands. It did pretty fair for most of the campaign (before finishing 70% of it?), the endind it's veryp very likely to crash more than 6 times

I started playing this game in 2013, it's been my favorite ever since.
At first, it was as frustrating as a tough game of Golf due to the AI....till I learnt .... don't use the AI.
This game is about balance, multiple simulators running at the same time... you take the lead... you take control
Hell...probably why it's called Carrier Command.

The game is of the Battlezone and Uprising genre.

On the map, you're trying to cut off your opponents supply line, while hopefully, increasing your advantage. That means you're having to manage your own resources, while going into battle with tanks or aircraft. Aim = fighting to take Islands to destroy the Enemy Carrier. Thus, a game within a game.

Like the original game, it is true real word stuff, including rescue attempts in the middle of battle when some of your tanks drive off the bridge. Therefore, loading up a Manta with the lifting hooks takes a bit of practice, worth it when you can also lift artillery up on high mountains.

I have saved games of Islands that are about to fall. I replay the scenario, and, armed with this knowledge, launch my air wing before the carrier arrives. The thrill of leading an early morning raid flying low of the marsh lands.... and then to watch your squadron lay devastation on their target. The enemy AI must have wondered "where did that come from".

In the Campaign mode, the second Island is not easy; you're running a gauntlet to get to a Health Bay. I do like the voice acting; it is bright and humorous, not the dry morbidness trending of other games. The RPG aspect needs polish but works as a welcome break and gives the game another dimension.

I have run this game from many machines and have not found too many problems. I have found recently that as the Opening Title states "NVidia meant to be played" is true, any other GPU will likely hit problems if you change the graphic settings. Don't change the settings, or you'll have to play the game inside a Windows window.

Summary:
Game has great promise and story, but not well implemented and unstable.

Pros:
The game has an awesome potential and atmosphere, the story line (campaign mode) has an interesting script, and the game mechanics are super fun. Take an island and then take the next, and unlock new technologies meanwhile.
But that's as far as it goes for good points.

Cons:
Constant crashes, quests bugging, unexplained introduced aspects/mechanics/items throughout the quests, badly designed interaction makes this game a very bad experience for the ones looking for joy without getting into tech stuff. In order to make the game playable (still crashing often), upgrading to a beta and installing a "Deadislands" mod that fixes several issues and implements quality-of-life improvements, is required.

The mod saves the game by one hand, but then leaves one wondering how was the game originally intended to be played -- if at all. It's an old 2012 game abandoned by the developer/publisher, yet the mod was still under active development down to 2025!

So if you're looking to just have fun and chill with a game, a "capital ship of sorts" game, move on, this is not for you.
If you really like the genre and the style, and are willing to give this one a try, be ready to go fancy and constantly research (through steam discussions basically) how to avoid or undo bugs and glitches or how to do unexplained things; ensure to save often (said mod implements better autosaving capabilities); and also fiddle with steam launch options for the game.

Bottomline: fun, but not for everyone.

Жаль, что на игру много отрицательных обзоров. Начальное освоение мне тоже далось крайне тяжело, непонятное управление, чёрт знает как распределять ресурсы, что вообще в первую очередь производить, как правильно снаряжать технику. Но только часов через 5 игры я стал входить во вкус и ещё позднее понял, что игра-то хороша!

В начале игры Вас встретит шутер от первого лица... ох и всратая вещь, в играх Half-Life 1, Unreal и Quake из 90-ых механика лучше. Может ещё поэтому игра нахватала плохих отзывов. Не лучшее приветствие игрока. Но шутер от 1 лица здесь, на самом деле, вторичен. Даже рулить авианосцем придётся нечасто, да и управлять им трудно, проще тыкать на карту, сам приплывёт. Авианосец здесь - это база для операций. А брать острова и ездить бОльшую часть игры здесь придётся на Моржах (местный БТР) и летать на Скатах (гибрид коптера и истребителя)

Первые 5 островов - по сути своей обучение, где набьёте первые синяки, хоть немного приноровитесь управлять техникой, производством и снабжением. А далее начинается то свободное плавание, выбирайте сами в какой последовательности брать острова, но всегда оглядывайтесь на ресурсы и не забывайте постоянно заботится о снабжении.

Разнообразием в захвате островов игра не блещет, то брандмауэры перед взломом командного центра отключи, то глушилки уничтожь. Тут у рельефа островов больше разнообразия: пустыни, болота, горы, вулканы, снега. Игра очень нетороплива, требует осторожного подхода, бросаться на остров на всех 4 бтр - это потерять все 4 и тупо ждать когда подводная лодка снабжения привезёт новые. Требуется постоянная забота о топливе, боеприпасах и ремонте.

Острова поэтому берёшь медленно: сначала всё разведуешь, потом в какой последовательности будешь брать остров, где у противника ангары для Скатов и гаражи Моржей, которые можно уничтожать, облегчая дальнейшее продвижение, но требуется очень много боеприпасов; где на острове зарядка техники, где боеприпасы и ремонт, всё это очень пригодится, чтобы не возвращаться каждый раз на авианосец. Не забывайте посещать научные центры после захвата острова, там сможете найти полезные чертежи для производства вооружений.

Когда получится прочувствовать все механики игры, тогда она и раскрывается во всех красках, затягивает. Во второй половине игры, когда откроется восточная гряда островов, станет доступно ещё больше вооружения и оснащения, что расширит боевые возможности, но не забываем, что враг также станет мощнее.

И вот тут один существенный недостаток - тупость своих юнитов. Без Вашего контроля они, хоть и могут вести бой, но при равной численности с противником, либо будут уничтожены, либо потребуется ремонт после каждой стычки. При командной работе, когда прикажете следовать за собой, будут друг другу мешать, врезаться в препятствия, застревать, падать с мостов. Так что, при продвижении всегда следите за своими, чтобы не выйти на врага в одиночку, а если отвлекаетесь на тыловую работу с производством и снабжением, озаботьтесь, чтобы у наземных сил не было в поле видимости врага и прикажите всем стоять. Подмечу, что юнит неплохо стреляет из гаубиц и орудий с баллистической траекторией, а также хорошо себя показывает машина с зениткой против вражеских Скатов.

Но если все 4 Моржа, ни без проблем, но можно использовать, то выпустить все 4 Ската - это потерять всех юнитов. Стайка идиотов просто полетит убиваться об противника, нанеся никакой, либо минимальный ущерб. Не знаю, может просто я не научился с ними управляться, но прошёл игру не выпуская более одного Ската, которым сам же управлял.

Про сюжет говорить не буду, просто для галочки, глупый, анимации персонажей деревянные, иногда вызывает испанский стыд.

Даже не знаю, кому посоветовать игру. Как танковый симулятор - уступает всем танковым симуляторам, как авиасимулятор - очень слабый, как шутер - да Боже упаси, как стратегия - тупые юниты и нет всех возможностей грамотно ими управлять. Эта игра хороша гибридом из разных жанров и механик, в сумме они и дали хороший проект, пусть так и оставшийся сыроватым. Я вообще не думал, что эта игра мне очень понравится при всех своих недостатках, но для меня она вообще стала жемчужиной, очень полюбил, особенно имея ранние детские воспоминания с оригиналом на Дэнди. Смотрите обзоры, читайте гайды, может и в Вас она вызовет яркие чувства, и не делайте быстрых выводов, только через пару десятков часов можно дать ей правильную оценку.

Ich bin wirklich ein fan von dem alten Spiel Hostile Waters (HW) und hatte gehofft das Carrier Command: Gaea Mission ein guter Nachfolger für mich wird.
Leider ist dieses Spiel das mehr als 10 Jahre Später veröffentlicht wurde irgendwie noch schlechter als HW.
Und damit meine ich nicht Grafisch sondern im Balancing, path finding, Steuerung, Optionen und vieles mehr.
Wer hier schon aufhören möchte zu lesen: kurz gefasst ist dies ein frust Spiel das mir persönlich einfach keine Freude bereitet.

Etwas genauer was mich alles genervt hatte:
- Path finding: die eigenen Einheiten fahren ohne eigenes zutun in Sackgassen gegen Bäume (die einfach unzerstörbar sind) oder versuchen 5m unter der grasnarbe zu fliegen.
- Balancing: Wenn man mal das Pech hat dem gegnerischen Carrier früh zu begegnen hat man so gut wie 0 chancen ihn abzuwehren. Die eigene Hauptwaffe wird von der gegnerischen Flak mit 1-2 Schüssen zerstört und wenn man versucht sich mit Einheiten zu verteidigen werden diese auch jeweils mit einem Schuss zum Schrottplatz befördert. Die eigene Verteidigung (KI Turrets/Flack)? mach nichts.
- Steuerung: Hackelig, Träge und ungenau.
-Optionen: Wenn man versuchen möchte sich das Spiel auf sich zurecht zu schneiden, findet man in den Optionen nur wenn man Glück hat den Punkt den man einstellen möchte, andere sind einfach nicht vohanden. (Lautstärkeregelung: Musik, Master, FSX. Wenn man den Ton der Stimmen/des gesagten einstellen möchte? Leider Nein. Und es wird meistens nur sehr Leise gesprochen.)

Ein bisschen war das hier auch nur ein Rant um meinen Frust an diesem spiel loszuwerden.

The Game itself is good.

Unfortunately if you want to complete it or play more than 20 mins you better get used to crashes and having tom manual fix AI tracking issues for vehicles.

I've had this game for a really long time and never reviewed it, however due to a few new players getting stuck with the same issues i thought it best to warn people in advance.

The AI is just broken. Command all units to dock at carrier and the land vehicles will just get stuck in a ditch somewhere, continually attempting to climb a slope they can't get up.

The audio is awfully balanced, engine sounds are not good and will drown out voice over.

Seems like a fun idea, but execution is not here.

Its a good game overall. The units are clumsy and seems to get stuck often. It feels like FPS 80% and RTS 20%. In terms of game balance, if you can find the right combo of equipment, the game becomes easy. I only found MKII amour, plasma, gatling, and missiles are useful in battle, other weapons are mostly for decoration. The campaign mode is knda easy. For most missions, alI did I was to pick out all turrets defences with a manta and then send in the walrus after. Enemy carrier is not difficult to destroy, all you need to do is to engage her to the side with your plasma gun head on and she will give in. The enemies doesn't do much maneuvering so as you own units. The ending mission is all about go in head on and blast your way in the best you can. I can do it in one try pretty much. I bought this game 12 years ago and played a little bit. I just finally get to finish it. My final words - I still enjoy the game very much it although of its flaws.

[i]Kurz und schmerzlos: kauf es, wenn du frustresistent bist und viel Zeit hast, Finger weg, wenn dich kleinste Dinge aufregen.
Das Konzept ist toll, die Umsetzung ist Schmutz.
[spoiler]Als ich dachte, die letzte Mission wäre gleich fertig, offenbarte mir das Spiel ein anderes Schicksal, konnte dann nur noch die Reißleine ziehen und das Spiel beenden.
Stellt euch vor, das ganze Spiel noch einmal von vorn plus zusätzlichem Schwierigkeitsgrad, da konnte ich nur noch aufgeben, dafür ist meine Lebenszeit zu kostbar.[/spoiler][/i]

- Spiel ließ sich ohne Probleme installieren und starten, keine Änderungen von Dateien nötig
- Sound und Atmosphäre (meistens) nicht durchgängig

[b]Negativ:[/b]

- Wegfindung der Einheiten unterirdisch
- Einheiten haben immer mal wieder zu spät auf Feinde reagiert
- Einheiten hatten immer mal wieder Ausfälle beim befolgen von Anweisungen
- Schwer zu sagen was eher zutrifft, entweder, je weiter man im Spiel voran kommt, desto häufiger kommt es zu Abstürzen oder je länger man spielt, speichern speichern speichern lautet die Devise
- In der letzten Mission ist einfach mal eine feindliche Einheit vor mir verschwunden
- Clippingfehler ohne Ende
- Ständig Schaden genommen, weil man irgendwo hängen blieb
- Einheitenbau unterirdisch lang
- Vieles mehr noch....

Good idea, but it is buggy. While I was playing I was thinking of how this reminded me of planet-side, maybe multiplayer could have helped save this game.

Quick save just doesn't work.

People have a reason to ♥♥♥♥ on the path-finding, I was watching my vehicles do doughnuts in the swamp while I am on a timer. I know I could have controlled them myself, but if they can't go to a point then, well what is the point. Watched the AI not shoot, like the gun won't work unless I take command and resume.

I see some people saying to use a mod or don't bother. If you need a mod for a game to be good, it is bad.

I'm going to give this a pretty tentative thumbs up.
I finished the campaign and played a tiny bit of strategy mode with mods... well one mod.

The game really has one major flaw, the pathfinding, leaving any unit alone is a recipe for disaster and i'm completely honest in saying that if the pathfinding was fixed before launch this game would be a cult classic.

Sure it's consolized in spots, the voice acting is not perfect and there are weird underdeveloped FPS segments.
but most of those issues exist purely in the campaign mode.

It honestly feels absolutely insane to me that the devs had an almost amazing product in their hand but then released an RTS game with pathfinding rivaling Protoss Dragoons and Terran Goliaths of ye olde starcraft fame.

Pour ceux comme moi qui adorent TOUT gérer par eux-mêmes, Carrier Command Gaea Mission offre une interaction magique en sautant d'un cockpit à un autre cockpit !

Dans un RTS ou un Top Down Shooter vous avez une vue d'ensemble.....tandis que là vous devez vous appliquer pour bien coordonner des attaques air/sol en prenant rapidement le contrôle manuel de chacune de vos unités présentes dans la zone de combat.

L'une des meilleure compo à mon avis : 2 Warlus au sol + 2 Mantas pour une couverture aérienne. On peut aussi lâcher des Droids (mais lents) sur le champ de bataille, d'en prendre le contrôle et d'attaquer en mode FPS.

L'IA-Alliée est volontairement basique pour vous aider a gérer un groupe d'unités qui vous 'ASSIST', mais si vous ordonnez à vos unités d'attaquer à votre place, ca va vite tourner au massacre. L'IA-Ennemie ne se laisse pas faire, les Warus restent en mouvement, ils sont aussi capable de battre en retraite et de se mettre à couvert derrière un mur ou un bâtiment. Quand aux Mantas ils patrouillent en cercle ou entre deux points, et peuvent surgir pour épauler leurs Warlus. Les Tourelles nous font pas de cadeau.

ATTENTION ! ATTENTION ! Le [b] Mod Deadly Islands par Species1571 [/b] est absolument in-dis-pen-sa-ble ! Comme j'ai découvert CCGM en 2024 en installant simultanément ce Mod, il est clair que les anciennes critiques style déplacements vaseux des Warlus sur la carte, ou bien des unités qui attaquent en faisant n'importe quoi (calmez-les avec la commande 'SUSPEND') ne sont plus justifiées avec ce Mod : il faut voir le contenu phénoménal qu'il offre (ce n'est pas un cheater). Même les Devs ont contribué pour que le Mod s'intègre toujours plus dans le noyau original du Jeu.

Les combats Carrier versus Carrier sont impressionnants, on peut arriver par surprise pendant que l'ennemi attaque une de nos îles, ou bien le contraire où c'est lui qui se pointe et nous prend au dépourvu. Son IA n'est pas complètement débile et il peut réussir a prendre la fuite si on lui cause assez de dégâts, et grâce au Mod on peut le faire repop autant de fois qu'on veut. Le Mod propose des réglages pour qu'on puisse être averti de la présence du Carrier ennemi à proximité d'une île Alliée, perso j'adore prendre le contrôle des Tourelles + Warlus + Mantas qui sont entrain de défendre notre île (rien à voir avec ceux sur notre Carrier) et de participer à la bataille pour 'ATTACK REPULSED !'.

Зачем нужно было нудное и беспонтовое вступление?
Зачем нужны долгие переправы между островами?
Зачем нужны кринжовые диалоги?
Зачем вообще нужна эта игра,
"Вы командуете авианосцем, снабженным крутыми пушками и под вашим командование находится армия боевых дронов"
Круто звучит? Да, Но на деле игра рекордно скучная, просто с порога заявляющая, что она недоделана и непродуманна, как будто дали новичкам, те неделю ели просроченные донеры, а потом потужились и после звука мокрого шлепка на кафель отправили это продакшн.

아얘 기대를 안해서 그런 것 같다
스토리 전개가 빠르다.
총쏘다가 잠깐 기지 접수하고 함선까지 바로 접수 ㅋ

Interesting take on marrying RTS and FPS.
Problem is, the game is very janky, every 6 seconds or so, it feels like my character is moving through thick mud. I can run game at 165 FPS at max settings, so it's not my machine.
Tried limiting FPS to 60 thinking it was running too fast, but that didn't fix the issue.
No leaning, going prone, very basic controls.
When allowing AI to control items, their aim is atricious.
Good concept, just poor game controls and collision models make precise game-play frustrating.
May be worth some time investment, but there are better games out there.
Get it for the nostalgia or very a unique take on FPS/RTS hybrid.
Just don't expect high quality controls or animations.

Masakra jaka ta gra jest paskudna i słaba. Strategia z dennymi elementami FPS na silniku pierwszego Operation Flashpoint z 2001. Oni będą ten silnik modernizować chyba do czasów kolonizacji Marsa i jeszcze dłużej, aby tylko hajs się zgadzał.

Es ist eine 1 zu eins Umsetzung des klassischen Carrier Command, was eigentlich nicht so schlecht wäre, aber wenn man heutzutage für so ein Spiel noch über 20€ verlangt, in diesem Zustand... Naja, nein. Die KI ist unterirdisch, ständige Abstürze Selbst eine Funktion das man manuell die Zeit beschleunigen kann ist nicht drinnen, keine ordentliche Inventar Übersicht, keine Möglichkeit Sachen die nicht mehr gebraucht werden über Bord zu werfen und ein feindlicher Carrier der es eigentlich nicht nötig hat irgendwelche Versorgungsinseln zu bauen, da er sowieso immer alles auf dem aktuellsten Stand hat. Multiplayer gibt es auch nicht, das Spiel für vielleicht 5 bis 10 € okay. Da wurde wirklich viel Potential verschenkt, aber das ist man ja inzwischen von vielen Firmen gewöhnt.

I was such a fan of the original game that I had to have this re-imagining of it as soon as I saw it.

The pros:

The missions are pretty fun. There is a good balance of having to have a unit/armament/positioning strategy, and then you still get some pretty decent FPS blasting fun. They have made a really interesting hybrid RTS/FPS.

Others have mentioned that the graphics aren't exactly the cutting edge, but they're really not bad at all and there's quite a lot of detail there.

The campaign makes the old model of repeated island conflicts more fun.

It's a re-take on a 36 year old game but I think the fans will get the sense that this was done with love for the original. I'll play it to the end despite a handful of flaws.

The cons:

The AI unit routing is a mess. The infantry guys seem to do pretty well (not Halo well), but the walruses drive like my fellow Utahns. This can be worked around by leading the walrus groups yourself and having the others assist, but it would be much more fun if they get this sorted out. If a target moves behind cover the AI walrus units will sometimes just circle, or move back and forth. They like to drive into things, too. Repeatedly ramming a cactus damages a tank somehow. There is a beta patch for this issue but it is no better so far, and I think it just corrupted my campaign game.

The unit balance doesn't seem to be very... balanced. The mantas get picked off like gnats by just about anything, and one single laser walrus can tear through your compliment of 4 walruses in not much time. Where I am in the campaign the mantas are essentially useless.

It crashes from time to time as well.

First of all, the start of the game is terrible.
It is a BAD first person shooter which you don't want to play. It is bad. Really, really bad.

But, the real game is really, really good :-)

You command a carrier which has 4 tanks and 4 aircraft.
You conquer islands, each of which can have exactly one of three specializations, mining, production or defense.
During the game you will find more and better blueprints to create better weapons and equipment for your vehicles.

The graphics are incredible good, the controls are good, the sound is good, I just like it.

You do NOT have 8 units which you send on missions.
You have 8 remotely controlled drones which YOU have to control. Remotely.
You can do some things like send a unit somewhere, set multiple waypoints for it to proceed along, tell it to follow another unit...

So, you CAN have a tank with a route which follows your waypoints and three other tanks follow the first one, so you'll have four tanks moving and of course shooting at enemies while you fly a drone above and help or just watch the action.

Or you take over one of the tanks and do it yourself.

Or you do everything yourself, which is not smart.
Why not send one aircraft somewhere and use the tank yourself to destroy some enemies.
Then you send the tank on its way and use the aircraft, which already reached its target, to do some other stuff.

This is a real great game if you ignore the FPS parts.

I don't get the bad reviews. Not even a little bit. I think that everyone who gave this game a bad review is not a real gamer because I can't imagine not having fun with Carrier Command: Gaea Mission.

Comments like "feature x was different in the original Carrier Command" are just stupid. I ignore them. I will not use the original invented wheel and if these guys are so much of need of the original's features, why don't they play it?
Yes, it IS possible to play the original, did you ever wonder why these people don't? They are not people you want to have around you. That is the reason.

这游戏最重要的几个东西：
① 前期的空军侦察：及时发现AT炮台跟装备火炮或者激光的敌方海象，防止你把海象直接A到对面军事重地里，然后发现打不过被团灭。
② 前期的海象操作与火力分配：最好不要白给激光海象跟mk1装甲，否则前期节奏会炸。攻击对面军事重地时做好拉扯，在进点前尽量消耗掉对方的重火力（用好fps模式下的激光微操），然后进点一定要果断，该全军A上去就A上去，千万不要脱节，不要过于依赖自动支援，很容易迷路，要手动设置路径.......
③ 核弹岛之后，解锁的高级飞机科技：用好火箭炮（300m可以一炮秒炮台跟无甲的装甲车）、等离子体（需要额外解锁但是不难，可以在400m之外超远程轰炸对面的AA炮塔，在侦察到位的前提下可以无伤干掉所有炮塔）、加特林机枪（空对空的神，配合自动瞄准在200m内很容易扫死对面的飞机跟装甲车）、以及挂钩（抢下制空后，吊海象过去直接黑掉指挥中心或者重建指挥中心）。后期陆军基本上没有任何作用，重型火炮跟地面导弹在没有飞机的视野辅助下很难发挥作用，而且容易被对面的高级飞机直接秒杀。陆军出门一定要带高级防空车跟飞机护航，一起编队入侵对面基地才有效果。
总体来说，这个游戏的设计还是很有创新的，RTS元素重点在于：侦察信息，出兵搭配，以及强攻或迂回等宏观决策；FPS微操则在于：操作我方重火力单位高效破点，操作空军单位精准打击对面重火力单位，以及残血单位及时脱离战斗等，能直接决定战损比并提升游戏体验。

I honestly don't care about the negative comments. I love this game, even with all it's "flaws", IMO they're just minor 'inconveniences', with which I can live. I've played the original in the ´80s on my Amiga and I am more than happy with what they made of it in this version. Just download the demo and try it for yourself. If you don't like it ... don't buy it!

Cuando empizas a jugar te das cuenta de que hay elementos del juego que son digamos como que cutres...
Ves esos escenarios vacios,con construcciones del enemigo,mas colocadas en medio de la nada que otra funcion,en un lugar perdido del oceano...

Una inteligencia artificial de kamikaze que no es capaza de seguirte sin perderse o si le manda a un punto del mapa se mete por los sitios mas locos del juegos,vamos que si para ir del punto A al punto B tiene que pasar por 2 campos de minas,6 bases enemigas repletas de tanques,4 destructores estelare y una estrella de la muerte,por no hace 100 metros mas de recorrido por ahi se mete.

lo de shooter lo tiene de adorno,el quake 2 tiene mas desarrolladas esa modalidad.
los aviones son la cosa mas inutil que te puedes echar a la cara,incluyendo los del enemigo.
es todo el rato lo mismo,repetitivo a mas no poder..

si te lo encuentras por 1 euro o 2 te puede compensar,si no pasa de el.

ATTENTION ARNAQUE !
Jeu non-recommandé.
Tellement buggé qu'il faut sauvegarder avant chaque action, chaque mouvement. Et il arrive un moment, en mode campagne, où le jeu plante et est impossible à redémarrer.
Vu l'âge du jeu, il semble que les développeurs soient partis à la pêche et se sont noyés ...
Je ne comprends même pas que Steam maintienne ce jeu à la vente.

o jogo é um grande porre, maior parte do tempo vc apenas esta esperando os tanques voltares ou o navio viajar de um canto a outro, drones são quase inúteis.
-historia vc pode ignorar ela.
-vc n escolhe mt bem uma estratégia, ent n o considero um jogo de estrategia em si.
-os graficos talvez seja bom para a época q foi lançado hj é bem ultrapassado.
-som é desequilibrado, o som do tanque é muito maior q eles falando e não tem configuração para arrumar.
-não tem dublagem, se contente com o ingles.
-eu tive que recomeçar do começo que eu tava tomando a ilha, pq a IA do tanque se jogou de um penhasco e ficou preso.
-a IA de tudo é bem desorientada, bate em parede, se joga em buracos, fica preso fácil, não atira em inimigos em sua frente, etc...
-sobre a dinâmica das ilhas(das fases na pratica), em quase todas elas(isso pq só achei uma em que consegui burla o mapa e se jogar de uma montanha pra alcançar com command center antes da hora) você literalmente não tem escolhas a fazer, apenas vá ao objetivo e atire nos tanques, drones e torretas e fique estressado com seus tanques sem senso de direção ou se matando, drones voando pra cima do inimigo atoa, não atirando e simplesmente indo de F sem motivo.

ainda assim, vi que é um jogo que tinha um enorme potencial, ele seria um jogo, o conceito é praticamente único, e é bem é bem confortável ficar atirando em tanques.
me desafiei a zerar o jogo apenas pra não deixa-lo morfando.
o jogo é bem longo.

não recomendo.

You have to turn off anti aliasing in your graphics control panel before you start playing this game to make it work properly. It's confusing to know where you need to go as the objective pointer isn't always there. Seems like a boring pointless story. Overall a very low quality game - I bought it at the discounted price of £3.99 - and frankly the regular price ought to be less than that. Don't bother buying it.
