feel so old I think I'm on kongregate
This was a cute little puzzler I had sitting in my backlog for ages. It was quite short, but it had a cool little story around it while trying to pick up all the pieces of your blown apart space ship, and get back into space. It was fun while it lasted.

Pretty neat little game from the start of the last decade. Definitely what I'd call rough around the edges, but quite a nice bit of fun if you wanna put the time into it. There's VR missions, but I'unno if you need to have ACTUAL VR stuff for that, and I already uninstalled the game so that'll be up to you to figure out. For £3.99 you could do WAY worse!

One of the best physics based games ever. People that don't like it, they just don't get physics. Go play some LOL.
Don't fall for its cuteness. Its definitely not what it appears to be in the first glance. The calm and cosmic music is there for good reason. To stop you from giving up and stick together if the bob managed to fly back to its native planet , the same spot he left from, the call centers. Yes, they have call centers out there too. Indeed , all the planets having any kind of life form supposedly have had call centers. Its a backbone of planet's economy.
So, you need to not only think how to proceed and enter the portal towards the next level, but also carefully have a map of ship design in your mind matching with that of the environment to remove the obstacles or create the path. Well, that's it. Give these awesome developers your money and figure out yourself, how do they operate call centers in some planet named Zigajibooboos.
Very fun game, though a little on the short side. I completed this one, including all achievements, in about 12 hours.
This is probably the worst game I've played in my entire gaming history spanning 20+ years. Firstly, the trigonometry and geometry calculations on particle collisions wasn't even done. The programming was done by a 5 year old with no beta testing what-so-ever. Frequent crashes, freeze ups and level resets. Frequent cases of the "ship" bouncing from one side of the map to another with no controller input. Cases of where the "ship" simply moves from one area to another, and I'm not even in the same room. Numerous instances where environment borders completely inhibit the movement of the "ship" forcing either reset of last "save" point or complete level reset. I'm happy to simply finish off the achievements and then followed by a complete uninstall. If I had some say, I would force the developer to refund the entire purchase of all copies of this game to all users and then promptly ban them for life from ever selling another product on Steam. Atrocious programming all round. Mathematics was not this developers "any" point.
A cute little game. Controls are a little ackward, and the gameplay is a little boring. It isn't totally bad. If you're looking for a cheap casual game, this is for you. If you're looking for a challenge or a exciting gameplay, just skip it.

I think Ludosity is an amazing game company. All of there games are fun and enjoyable, has good mobile games and even the free games are really good especially Iji. There was only one game I haven’t played for a while which was the game in question, and.....It’s middling.
I’m just gonna talk about the gameplay since the graphics and story are fine. I’ll be honest, the gameplay was fine when it started, the controls were fine, the ship building was a good way to get people thinking about the puzzle and some of the later levels were pretty good. But there’s one mechanic that really bugged and really got me frustrated during my playtrough and that the pull mechanic. the object you are very either very stubborn to move or are so light that they get out of your grip. Now I doubt this would bother me if this was after later when you get better engines but you get this pretty early one and the first few levels you use it are so frustrating I wouldn’t blame anyone for giving up during level 4.
I like their games but I can’t recommend this game for everyone. If you like Physic puzzle, maybe you’ll enjoy it but approach with caution.

Без всинка готовтесь к тому, что счётчик кадров даже на слабом железе улетит в космос. Одно радует. что это говорит о хорошей оптимизации. Но всинк надо приделать - уже почти 15 лет прошло. Что за ерунда?
Напоминает ещё одну леталку про минидирижабль с пропеллером, но тут не так сильна гравитация и топливо бесконечное. Но может это только по началу. Может любопытная и графически вроде симпатичная, но в целом не особо целпяет. Но загружается долго.
Напрягает в такой игре отсутствие русского. Уж могли бы перевести для русского рынка.
Для детей может и нормально будет скоротать пару вечеров. Но без всинка и русского перевода играть довольно сложно. Подойдёт для знатоков английского и совсем старых ПК.
Ich habe mich dazu entschieden dem Spiel keine Empfehlung zu geben. Ja sicher, ein wenig unterhalten kann es schon, aber es ist einfach zu wenig und die Motivation lässt extrem schnell nach.
Das Spiel selber definiert sich dadruch, dass man den Roboter Tom so zusammenbaut, dass man halt die Rätsel in den Leveln bewältigen kann. Klingt eigentlich gut, konnte mich aber nur sehr kurze Zeit unterhalten. Die Abwechslung ist sehr gering und an Spielfluss mangelt es auch.

Bob came in Pieces (Peace) is a small indie game based on gravity ând ingeniering, you have to create your robot, upgrade it to use it as an explorer like a platformer game, resolve gravity/static/mechanic problems. The concept is interesting on the paper but kinda boring in the game (for me).

救命ポッドにパーツを継ぎ足してパズルを解いていく２Dアクション。慣性がバリバリに効いた挙動にイラっとくることもあるけど障害物を避けてスイスイ飛べると気分いい。タイムアタックを狙わない限りは難易度はふつー。

Easily the most boring, uninspired, poorly written game I've ever played on Steam. I got it as part of a summer sale event, got the achievement and never touched it again. I wish I could have it removed from my Steam library.
I see they are trying to make a challenging game but it doesn't get challenging, most of it is just tedious...

An EXTREMELY short puzzle platformer that desperately needs steam workshop support. What is there is fun.
After trying for three hours to come to grips with this game's mechanics, I decided to give up. I don't think [i]Bob Came in Pieces[/i] is an outright bad game, it's just a game I can't get used to, nor do I find any fun in it.
The basic idea is sound and actually somewhat original: controling Bob, you have to travel through several levels in order to collect the missing parts of his ship (Bob is a spaceship that came down to earth in pieces). There are several obstacles on the way, most of those objects that have to be removed or replaced (well, in the few levels I played anyway). By putting together Bob in the right way on the work-pads, you can figure out how to overcome the obstacles/puzzles: putting an extra engine in one of the slots makes a huge difference, and there's a "pull beam" that lets you pull away objects. At least, theoretically. Since the controls of this game are off-target to say the least, controlling Bob once some pieces of the spaceship have been adjusted, became a nightmare. Even more problematic is that the game relies on physics to solve puzzles - bu the physics seem to have been hugely overdone, with every action leading to a much greater reaction than I would ever expect. That makes the game nearly unplayable for me - although I would love to progress further into the apparently well designed levels and discover more of Bob's pieces, the controls and physics just don't let me do so. Graphics and sound do a pretty good job, so all the more regrettable that the gameplay let me down.
With over 80 achievements, of which the greater part have only been achieved by under 2% of all players, this game seems like a nightmare for achievement hunters. Apart from achievements for completing levels & gathering spaceship parts (fair enough!), there are lots and lots for finishing the levels within a certain time limit. These limits are set so extremely tight, that those achievements are only for the most stubborn gamers out there, or for these who figure out the wonky controls to perfection. People looking for another 100% game, definitely should skip this one, and it won't help in getting a good average completion rate either.
But there's a fair chance anyone else can actually figure things out, and enjoy this game. It's just not my cup of tea, I guess.

Most of the game at first is comprised with you spending more time making the correct ship for a short puzzle. Although you could say that the puzzle itself is part of how you build the ship, it can be a little irritating at times when you have to frequently swap your parts every now and then. The music fits and the physics of the game are incredibly tight. There is replayability in the form of time attack mode and of course, collecting all the parts of the ship.
It's a fairly short game but do give this game a chance as I did because it might surprise you!
It seemed like a very fun idea at first but lost its charm alarmingly fast.

This game isn't bad, but be warned that controls aren't good. There are better physics/puzzle games on steam, but this one is still playable.
Did not make it far into this game before succumbing to my boredom. It's frustrating to maneuver your saucer as this game does not handle momentum well, and the puzzles are very straightforward and pretty much always requires you to run back and forth between build stations to slightly adjust your ship for very specific tasks. The game trailer may seem promising, but I have received no enjoyment from this game, and will promptly hide it in my game library.

Per curiosità l'ho rilanciato a una decina (forse più) di anni di distanza. Il gioco parte, ma su sistemi moderni - soprattutto se potenti - non è utilizzabile. Su una RTX 4090 fa più di 900 FPS con un 30% di utilizzo. Non esistono opzioni per limitare gli FPS o la sincronia verticale. Da APP NVIDIA, forzando la sincronia, all'avvio il gioco presenta problemi grafici che lo rendono inutilizzabile.
Ora, non è che mi lamenti davvero del gioco in se o che pretenda abbia senso giocare ad un prodotto del genere una quindicina di anni dopo l'uscita ma, per me, questo è l'esempio canonico di come senza un programma di mantenimento dei vecchi titoli, un po' come ha fatto GOG, molti diventeranno inutilizzabili in pochi anni. La cosa grave, per questo qui, è che in realtà è ancora in vendita e non dovrebbe rimanerci se non viene preteso che gli sviluppatori facciano il minimo per renderlo fruibile su sistemi moderni. Non è possibile che BOB mi consumi gli stessi Watt di un AA attuale!

Me gusta la idea de poder diseñar tu propia nave y modificarla para pasar los puzzles pero hay algo en este juego que me falla.
Es entretenido y tiene buenos puzzles pero a la vez es muy frustrante ya que tienes que hacer los puzzles como los han pensado no tienes muchas opciones y además considero que es un fallo de diseño muy grande tanto que te puedas quedar encajado en cualquier sitio y tengas que volver al anterior punto de control (aunque la lógica dictara que con el movimiento de la nave te deberías desenganchar y no pase) y que a veces no te orienta a lo que tienes que hacer en una fase cuandro introduce una nueva mecánica mientras otras te indica cosas muy obvias y que llevas repitiendo durante varias pantallas.
El conseguir los tiempos que indica para los logros se me antoja imposible aunque tal vez simplemente sea mi falta de habilidad.
No es mal juego pero me he quedado con la sensación de que han desaprovechado una muy buena idea y una excelente mecánica y no puedo jugar mucho rato sin que mi pantalla peligre cuando no consigo que la nave haga algo que supuestamente debería hacer sin problemas o cuando no encuentro la solución que han puesto a un puzzle y todas las mías fracasa estrepitosamente. Además el tiempo no ayuda, creo que tengo que probar a jugar sin que se vea.
Si está barato o sale en un bundle merece la pena probarlo pero si eres como yo pondrá a prueba tu paciencia por más que te divierta lo que te propone.
It's decent enough fun. A physics-based thrust/lander puzzler with an interesting mechanic, whereby you can change the design of your craft, affecting its flight characteristics and abilities.
I've played the game up to level 7 of the main "Adventure". It took about 4 hours and I think that's about half-way through the main arc of the game, but there is a lot of additional content in the form of single "challenges". The puzzles are not hard, but finding the right way to fly your craft or a combination of ship components that works to accomplish the task-in-hand can be tricky. It's possible (and recommended!) to save useful ship designs to recall quickly at the docking stations within the levels. All the levels seem to contain hidden areas with extra ship parts, which are rewarding to find. The game can get very frustrating sometimes, however, due to the physics simulation. It's possible to get your ship trapped in various ways, such as under a bit of falling or sliding scenery, or by having the wrong thruster in the wrong position on your ship, leaving you jammed up against a wall or spinning in circles with no way to get back to a base to change it, meaning you have to quit and re-start the level, which can be maddening, especially if it happens in sight of the exit gate!
I'm saying it's a 7/10 overall (but 3/10 when you get the damn ship stuck!).

Actually kind of cool, you fly around in a little spaceship, adding various parts to your thing to solve all these physics based puzzles. Surprisingly well made for such a no-name kind of title.
But it's a game for kiddies. Pretty boring for mature gamers such as myself.

A fun little physics-based lunar lander-style game. You customize your ship with various parts, add new thrusters, repulsers and what have you to accomplish the task at hand. Over the course of the game you will gain new parts (more if you search for all the hidden items.)
It's quite challenging taking on all the speed run achievements although like any physics-based game, it can be frustrating at times. There's even an extra level pack that was released as a free update for those who want even more challenge.
Definitely recommended for those who like physics games.

Basic idea is like in Toejam and Earl: to find the lost pieces of the rocket but, the approach is absolutelly different (I love TJ&E, by the way).
Here you drive some kind of flying-I-dunno that moves around typical arcade scenarios but, having to solve puzzles and killing nothing.
So... a puzzle type game with a touch of arcade?.
Well, it comes in the Nordic Indy pack and, not a bad thing, at all.

Is a little short in my opinion, finished it in about an hour including finding all the pieces for the ship. There are leaderboards and time trials for every level, so it that appeals to you, then it will last a while longer.
It is very good and a lot of fun, but I would advise waiting for a sale or Indie bundle as I really wouldn't pay full price for it.
It's very short game. But the puzzle challenges are good and engaging. Some of them are hard but not frustrating! So you can solve it and continue your journey. I would recommend this game, at least when in sale! You won't regret it!

Decent casual game. Flying around is easy and the puzzles are fun to solve. There's not a whole lot of challenge to it though. Most puzzles are solved by searching for the right parts and configuring them correctly, rather than challenging your piolting finesse or spatial skills.
When I yield to my children's force, and ask them: "OK, which game shall we start?", most often they say "That one with the tiny alien!" which is this game. I like it too, because there are no guns in it and you have to use both your brains and your chic to complete Bob's missions.
It's so much funy building rediculous ships.
Really annoying for me. Sure it's a build-and-fix kind of game, but it just became annoying after a bit.
The world needs more games like this.

Belated review. This indie physics-based puzzle game is pretty fun. Your goal is to navigate a spaceship to the end of a level. Sure, it sounds easy enough, but there are always obstacles in your way. The main hook of the gameplay is mixing and matching parts on your spaceship in order to solve physics-based puzzles in each level (pushing and pulling objects, smashing through things, etc). I found the controls to be a bit touchy at times and wasn't a huge fan of the ship-building interface, but overall, there's not much bad to say about this game. Just go into it without any grand expectations. It's pretty laid back and is a nice way to kill a few hours. There are also a number of advanced levels available, in addition to the main story chapters, for those looking for a bit more challenge.
I don't recommend this. Most of the play time goes to putting your ship together for one 15 second puzzle, then spending another 5 minutes rebuilding it to make it past the next. Then again, it's probably more of a kid's "stick round peg into round hole" game.
It's intersting for the concept alone but the clunkiness of implementation is sometimes frustrating.
Nice music and visuals, and interesting gameplay. Most of the time it's functional, but you'll find the occasional glitch, mostly clipping issues. Still worth checking out if you want to experience a different type of 2D platformer.

Bob Came in Pieces is a lovely, casual physics-based puzzle game that features a story mode with 14 chapters where you main goal is to collect all the missing ship parts you have lost during a crash with a meteor. To solve the puzzles you have to combine certain parts and attach them to one of the 8 sockets on your ship.
Additionally the game features 10+1 really challenging and cool VR missions (heavily inspired by the VR missions in Metal Gear Solid) where you have to solve some really crazy puzzles with a pre-defined set of ship parts.
In both the adventure and the VR mode the timer can be toggled on/off so it's up to you if you play the game the casual way and explore the levels or go for gold and try to beat the clock to get a silver or gold medal and the respective Steam achievement.
The replayability depends on whether you're into time-attack or not. Either way i can highly recommend this game so make sure to get it (when it's on sale)!
A stylish & difficult physics puzzler somewhat in the vein of Gravitron. I love the Lego-like ability to build and modify your ship with newly found parts.

A mixture of puzzle and flight game, with the flight parts being as hard or easy as you want because you can adjust your ship to every situation.
Finished it in 11 hours. This was a fun little physics puzzle game. You're a ship on a planet with gravity. You attach and move around thrusters on your ship to move about, lift and push objects, while collectiong more pieces for your ship. Pleasent music and interesting level design.

This is a fun little physics-based puzzle game with a very "lunar lander" feel. Fly around to collect pieces of pipe, rockets, and pushers/pullers to solve your way through 14 levels and get Bob back to space so he can get to work. You can customize your ship to fit the needs of the problem at hand but make sure it's not top-heavy or off balance! While some precision flying and some restarts on account of the occasional frustrating hang-up are required, you'll have fun if you like refreshing new puzzle games.

This is a cute platform puzzler that clearly holds the NES title Solar Jetman in great esteem. An alien with car trouble crashes on a planet scattering his supply of ship parts and his hyperdrive, so he must explore this strange world within the safety of his ship that he alters frequently in order to proceed through platforming style, simple physics puzzles.
There's a nugget of strategy at its core as ship alterations make your ship overweight and hard to control, making each puzzle you encounter almost Legoesque in how you go about solving it.
The downside is that it can't offer much else to more than that, so if you aren't up for a "cute" game that involves puttering around in a tempermental starship, then I would recommend looking elsewhere. Otherwise, it's worth picking up for some repeat puzzle solving and some pretty entertaining ship abominations.
And tentacles. Bob has tentacles, FYI.

A charming little physics-based puzzle adventure, the game has you navigate side-scrolling levels in a moon-lander type ship to find extra ship pieces in your quest to completely rebuild and find your way home.
The core mechanic comes from reconfiguring your ship in-level with the pieces you have found to solve the puzzles that strew the levels. For instance, you might need to build an arm-like extension to prod a boulder out of your way, or need rockets on one side to propel you quickly through a guantlet.
There's also the requisite speedruns for when you are finished.
I enjoy collecting things in games and building/configuring them, but personally, I like my puzzles less physics-based.
This game, however, does both fairly well and is worth a look.
This game has excellent controls and beautiful artwork. For some games, that's enough. But this one goes further and has fun gameplay with things to collect and puzzles to solve. I love it.

It's actually pretty fun. The gameplay reminds me of hours spent bolting thrusters to things in Garry's Mod and trying to then figure out how to steer the resulting mess. But as a puzzle game.

This game is fun. You get to put together your ship however you decide to solve puzzles. After having played it to death, there is little left for me to do other than time trials.
All in all, I think this is a really fun game, and I've had a lot of fun trying to complete the speedruns (which I'm usually not a fan of). For the price of only 6,99€, I would highly recommend this small indie gem.
