Beautiful game. Absolutely sensational, far exceeds the gameplay of its predecessor. The perspective of playing Big Daddy was such a delight and the story excelled in the decision-based storytelling. Seeing how strong the bond between Delta and Eleanor throughout the story, as Delta goes through hell to save his daughter while saving all the other little sisters, was truly spectacular and leaves a much more meaningful experience.

Análisis de un jugador frustrado (con RTX 3070 incluida)
Valoración personal:

Como experiencia artística y narrativa: 10/10

Como producto funcional en PC en 2025: 2/10 (y el 2 es por los 10 minutos que logras jugar antes del crash)

Lo bueno (lo que merecía ser perfecto)
La ambientación:
Rapture sigue siendo uno de los escenarios más fascinantes jamás creados. Diez años después del primer juego, la ciudad sumergida se siente más decadente, más triste, más muerta. Caminar por sus pasillos inundados, iluminados tenuemente por neones parpadeantes, sigue siendo una experiencia inmersiva que pocos juegos logran igualar.

La historia:
La figura de la Dra. Lamb como antagonista es fascinante: una colectivista carismática que ha convertido el sueño de Rapture en una secta. La historia de la "Familia" y su interpretación retorcida del Objetivismo de Andrew Ryan aporta una capa de profundidad política y filosófica que enriquece el lore de la saga. La narrativa es sólida, madura y plantea dilemas morales incómodos.

La jugabilidad:
Jugar como un Big Daddy es un acierto brutal. Puedes usar el cañón, los plasmids con una mano y el arma con la otra al mismo tiempo (dual-wielding), lo que agiliza los combates. Los nuevos plasmids y armas, como el lanzaminas o el Rivet Gun, aportan variedad. Defender a las little sisters en lugar de simplemente recolectarlas añade una capa de estrategia y tensión muy bienvenida. Los combates contra los Big Sisters son intensos, rápidos y realmente amenazantes.

El arte y la música:
El diseño artístico sigue siendo de otro planeta. La banda sonora de Garry Schyman, con esos coros inquietantes y melodías melancólicas, te acompaña como un fantasma durante toda la partida.

Lo malo (o mejor dicho: lo INFUMABLE)
Inestabilidad criminal:
Y entonces llegamos al problema. Este juego, en su versión "Remastered", es probablemente uno de los ports más inestables que he tenido el disgusto de probar en mi vida. Con un hardware más que suficiente (i3-9100F + RTX 3070), el juego debería volar. En lugar de eso, se arrastra en cuanto a estabilidad.

El juego se cierra. Sin avisar. Sin error. Simplemente... puf, desaparece. Y no es un error concreto. Es todo. Es cambiar de sala. Es abrir una puerta. Es usar un plasmid. Es recoger un objeto. Es respirar. Es existir dentro del juego. No puedo avanzar más de 5-10 minutos sin que el escritorio de Windows me dé los buenos días de repente.

El mod que debería ser parche oficial:
He tenido que recurrir a mods comunitarios como el "Bioshock 2 Remastered Crash Fix" para que el juego simplemente no se cierre. Y funciona... a medias. Porque luego tienes que limitar los FPS a 60 manualmente desde el panel de NVIDIA, desinstalar el paquete de texturas HD (sí, el que viene con el remaster), ejecutarlo en modo compatibilidad con Windows 8, como administrador, y rezar a Andrew Ryan para que no explote todo al cruzar una puerta.

Texturas HD que NO:
Irónicamente, el famoso paquete de texturas HD que debería ser el principal atractivo del remaster es uno de los principales causantes de los cuelgues. Tienes que desinstalarlo para que el juego funcione mínimamente estable. Es como comprar un coche y tener que quitarle las ruedas para que no patine.

Conclusión: La tragedia de Rapture
BioShock 2 es, intrínsecamente, un juegazo. La historia de la Dra. Lamb, la evolución del combate como Big Daddy, la exploración de los rincones más oscuros de Rapture... Todo eso merece ser vivido. Es una secuela digna que amplía el universo sin traicionar su esencia.

Pero.

Y es un "pero" del tamaño de un Big Daddy.

Esta versión Remastered es, sencillamente, una vergüenza. Es inaceptable que en 2025, en un PC de gama media, tengas que convertirte en un técnico informático, instalar mods parche, desactivar contenido "oficial" y limitar el hardware para que un juego de 2010 funcione. No es un problema de tu equipo. No es un problema de que "sea un juego viejo". Es un problema de negligencia por parte de la compañía, que lanzó un remaster sin probarlo mínimamente en hardware moderno y lo abandonó a su suerte.

¿Merece la pena?
Sí, si estás dispuesto a pelearte con él. La experiencia de juego es tan buena que, una vez que consigues domar a la bestia y que deje de crashearse cada 2 minutos, te atrapa. Pero tienes que saber a lo que te enfrentas: no es un juego que "abres y juegas". Es un juego que "configuras, moddeas, limitas, rezas y luego juegas... hasta el siguiente crash".

Nota final:
A la obra de arte: 9.
Al producto que venden en las tiendas: 1.

A pesar de todo, lo platinaré. Porque Rapture lo merece y porque mi orgullo puede más que sus dichosos cierres inesperados.

Não sei o que aconteceu, mas em uma determinada do jogo, onde você tem que pesquisar os brutal splicer, simplesmente não aparece nada, aparecem os splicers normais mas o brutal que você tem que tirar foto, não aparece, acho que foi bug, porque a música de batalha fica tocando de fundo e nada acontece, tentei voltar o save e nada, nada a aparece, fora que o jogo crasha muito, apesar de ser um jogo com a história muito boa, a porra da perfomance deixa muito a desejar, isso quebra a experiência do jogador.

In some aspects, this is a bigger, better game than the first one - which I've already liked a lot. Unfortunately, it also introduces changes that do not complement the legacy of the first game.

Still, just like the first one, you should play this, if you never have, just like myself.

[h2]Gameplay evolved[/h2]

Playing the game for the first time almost 15 years later, it has aged well.

[*]Almost all issues with Bioshock 1 were addressed - you can now see which enemies you have researched and what you got for it.
[*]There are a few more enemy types, and the enemies are generally more interesting to fight.
[*]The movement and aiming feel more natural and not like it still has to catch up with Half-life from 98.

[h2]Impressive at first, falls off later[/h2]

Unfortunately, the game introduces issues I didn't have with the original.

Visuals and controls have improved. Soon, however, you will realize that the game feels a lot more action-oriented, closer to a traditional shooter, without the nuances of the first game. That's not a great thing.

Game is more cinematic, some might like it, some will think it's too restrictive. It's also strictly linear, and without the ability to go back, if you've missed something.

Oh, and they took away the quick-select plasmid menu on PC for no reason. As a result, I used certain plasmids far less than I did in the first one, because switching through everything with Q during combat sucks.

[h2]Player shrugged[/h2]

Compared to the first one, it felt shorter, but it's possibly due to faster pacing. You aren't skulking around the intricate levels as much as before.

The environmental storytelling and overall design remain great, and while some changes are unwelcome, they won't ruin your adventure.

The overall story is somewhat underwhelming, but it does end on a strong and satisfying note, which genuinely felt great. The Minerva's Den expansion is also solid, time well spent - you'll get a great value, given how cheap the game sells these days.

Do you like shooters? Want something more nuanced, yet very accessible? The echoes of the first game are still here, so if you've ever even considered it, go and get it.

Неплохое продолжение прошлой части.

Здесь продолжается история города Восторг спустя несколько лет после первой части. Играть мы здесь будем за одного из самых первых больших папочек, недавно пробудившегося ото сна и пытающегося найти свою дочь. Концовок здесь 6 и ваши действия будут влиять на поведении вашей дочки.

Геймплей здесь несильно изменился, но сделали более удобным. Добавили возможность использовать одновременно способность и оружие, когда приходилось постоянно их менять; не нужно постоянно перезаряжать оружие при смене калибра, потому что это надоедало из-за постоянных перезарядок и смены оружия; взлом изменили на более простую головоломку, чтобы не уставать от него; мобы стали менее похожими на губками; и т.д. Также теперь для добычи АДАМА нужно не просто спасать младшую сестричку, а заниматься ее защитой, пока она его выкачивает, что вероятно в конце вам надоест.

Ну и дополнительно отмечу, что в один момент у меня постоянно крашилась игра, раза 5 в середине игры, из-за чего мне приходилось с тряской проходить, боясь не сохранения игры. Возможно потому что игра древняя, но не знаю причину.

Functionally, similar to the first game but this time you start out as a big daddy this time and it's as fun and spooky as ever just exploring just like the first game. This one introduces a bunch of fresh things to experience like being in water segments which look cool, but don't add a whole lot other than just serve as a little transition between the levels. The new enemies that you fight are cool and a bunch of other things that were also quite cool that I'm not spoiling.

I thought the story was pretty good it wasn't on the same level as the first game, and the quality is certainly there and was intriguing enough to keep me interested throughout the entire game.

[h2]Mechanics[/h2]

If you've played the first game this will feel very familar to you. Furthermore, I will add that the new melee mechanic was really quite cool of an idea maybe I'll try it out on my second playthrough someday. The one detail I have to praise massively it's the way hacking is managed in this game just feels and functions, it soooooo much better compared to the game before. Also buying you'll no longer accidently buy more supplies by mistake anymore now which is really nice quality of life feature to finally include the first game was seriously missing.

1. Скачайте BioShock 2 и установите на него мод на текстуры.
2. Рандомно, время от времени, нажимайте Alt+F4. Для лучшего эффекта нажимайте Alt+F4 после трудных моментов(предварительно не сохраняясь) или во время сюжетных диалогов.

A great continuation from the first game, was pretty buggy though. Many times I had to restart since it'd lose my last save, and in one case the saves I did that day. Minerva's Den is a fantastic additional story! Loved it, probably better then the main storyline of Bioshock 2.

well well, we met again crashshock 2, since 360 i don't really know why everybody was too harsh with this game, i love this game just like the first one, looks like a dlc? sure but a great dlc (better than infinte) i just really wish we could had an Eleanor playable part, Eleanor it's such a great character with all the legendary characters i risk to say better than BioShock 1, Sinclair it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deep and funnier... and obviously, have the little sisters with you it's heartmelting when you're carrying them and they cheer for you when you kill the Splicers 10/10 GOTY, it's a masterpiece just like the first one, stop beeing a whiney baby and play it already...

the only thing i would wish it was the first idea of Zak McClendon would come to light to us beeing Eleanor/A Big Sister seeking answers, a DLC would be nice at the time.

I liked this game! In a lot of ways it felt like a simplified remake of the first game. The story was short and not as immersive as the first. The weapons were cool However, I do believe that rapid machine gun fire has a tendency to cause the game to crash. I liked how the story explained the sisters more . I missed the good Ole' Wrench weapon!!! Yeah grab this game when it's on sale as I don't think i will be doing a second playthrough...

Better quality than the first one, with a different but as inmersive as the first one story. I dont know if the original version crash quite often, but this version has that problem. Prepare yourself to save quite often manually.

Не коим образом игра не относится к предыдущей части, играть за большого папочку это скорее хороший эксперимент от создателей, но как в сюжетной составляющей думаю он больше походит на длинное ДЛС к первой части. Механика та же, часть персонажей те же, говорить о ней как об отдельной игре думаю смысла никакого нет. ДЛС к ней это просто пожуй и выплюнь, 0 эмоций.
Игра имеет место быть, но не как отдельная. Единственное что меня действительно очень порадовало, это, система сохранений в игре, они наконец то сделали сохранения отдельным пунктом в режиме паузы, и не надо после выхода из игры перепроходить локацию где было автосохранение как это было в предыдущей части. Из минусов, сам ремастер часто вылетает, и неважно на каком ПК вы играете, при игре более 4-5 часов вылет обеспечен.

Игра моего детства! Сама мысль того, что ты играешь за одного из больших папочек, которыми восхищался в первой части (их образом, их детализацией, их звуковыми эффектами), оставляет неописуемые эмоции.

Бурить мутировавших в фарш уёбков одно удовольствие!

Единственное: после прохождения Bioshock Infinite понял, что сюжетно 1 и 2 часть довольно скучны.
Как по мне в первых частях можно немного посочувствовать только Августу Синклеру и объекту Дельта, но вот только в Infinite очень хорошо преподносят главных героев и по этому лучше ими проникаешься и из-за этого игра кажется более насыщенной и живой чем первые две.

Pourquoi ? J'en sais rien.
Le scénario n'est pas le plus immersif mais les personnages et les dialogues le sont, et c'est ça qui fait le charme de ce magnifique jeu.
Même le DLC "L'antre de Minerve" suite ce schéma.

Hra padá. není normální, aby v posledních hodinách hry měla hra takové potíže, pod pojmem remaster si představuju něco jiného...

Hru doporučuju jako takovou, příběhově paráda, ale co z toho, když to nejde dohrát?

BTW hraju to na neuvěřitelně nadupaném stroji, který zvládne všechny hry na světě. Hra má problém v oblasti paměti a bere si docela dost, což vypadá jako memory leak. Viz chyba, kterou jsem dostala a málem rozsekala celý počítač.

К самой игре нет особых вопросов. Еще пятнадцать лет назад все было сделано очень хорошо и в плане сюжета, и в плане игрового процесса. Играется все это намного бодрее, чем первая часть. Мир прописан лучше. Враги разнообразнее и интереснее. История цепляет. И в целом от игры получаешь очень много удовольствия. Намного больше, чем от первой части.

Единственный минус разве что в том, что герои новой истории воспринимаются абсолютно искусственными в лоре всей вселенной биошока. Их не было раньше. Их не будут упоминать в DLC к Infinite. Их очень плохо связали с событиями первой части. Но если воспринимать сюжет в отрыве от серии и не соотносить его с событиями первой части, то это не будет проблемой. Сам по себе сюжет тут цепляет, следить за ним интересно.

А вот к чему вопросов прямо много, так это к техническому состоянию игры. Потому что выпускать с вывеской "ремастер" настолько сломанный кусок кода - это просто издевательство. Игра вылетает постоянно, особенно на последних уровнях. Ни одно из описанных в Интернете решений в моем случае не решило проблему полностью. Просто позорище. Такая эпохальная игра точно была достойна намного более качественного обновления.

Es un juego que ya es clasico, pero de verdad que la llegue a pasar mal en algunos momentos. El videojuego en sí esta bien. No tiene ningun problema pero llega a pasar que, cuando estoy en medio de un combate. El juego se cierra, si bien algún mod puede solucionar este problema. 1- No se hacer eso. 2- Prefiero jugar Vanilla.
La verdad es que incluso sin meter ningun mod. o modificar algo en ajustes, es jugable. Solo que llega ser tedioso, tener que guardar juego antes de cada combate o cada que sales de una zona.
También me duele ver como 2K games tiene estas joyas, pero si bien olvidadas. Y aun asi comprando la edición completa.
Espero no te desanime a comprar el juego o la versión completa. Siguen siendo disfrutables.

Franchement bon jeu, j'avais réussi (par miracle) à pas trop me faire spoil le jeu malgré son âge et l'idée de jouer un protecteur déjà est cool est plutôt bien retranscrit dans le gameplay, visuellement même si ça à pris un peu d'âge ça se défend bien et le gameplay avec une main pour les pouvoir et l'autre pour l'arme c'est un très bon ajout par rapport au premier jeu, l'extension de l'antre de minerve est aussi excellente et dure juste ce qu'il faut (deux gros niveau et un petit level de boss de fin).
bref, je le recommande, très bon jeu

Great game/sequel/remaster. Unfortunately, many people face issues with this port of the game (the original also faces similar issues on PC). There are fixes, however they don't seem to work for everyone and I don't recommend purchasing the game unless you are prepared to do a little bit of code editing.

The game seems to work pretty well when you apply the common fixes in the INI files. It only crashed a few times in my playthrough, but I still recommend saving frequently.

[b]There are a few things which seem to fix the majority of the issues:[/b]

- Allocating appropriate amount of VRAM for your GPU:
1. Go to ---> \AppData\Roaming\BioshockHD\Bioshock2\Bioshock2SP.ini
2. Open file in the notepad
3. Reset the value of TextureStreamingMemoryLimit to an appropriate amount. For me it was TextureStreamingMemoryLimit=16000.00000
The value is in MB. The VRAM for my GPU is 16.0 GB.
4. Save file
5. Set file to Read-Only in Properties, then hit Apply (in order to make further changes to INI, you will have to toggle this off again)

- Capping the frame rate to either 60 or 120 (within the driver software for your GPU). Personally, I set the min and max values both at 120 in AMD Adrenalin.

- There is also a crashfix patch on Nexus mods which seems to have good results.

Claramente arrastra muchos problemas jugables correspondientes a la epoca, como que te golpeen todo el tiempo, enemigos que tanquean un montón, movimientos simples, etc.
Quitando eso creo que es obligatorio jugarlo, si te gustó el primero. Se complementan y crean un universo mucho más vivo y completo. Cada juego tiene sus propias mecanicas y muchisimo lore interconectado.

Disclaimer: El remastered es una mierda. Me crasheo como 5 veces y los autoguardados son cada 30 minutos.
