Storyline

Your adventure begins right in the police station where colleagues are present, too. Over the course of the game you can further develop the station and gain access to new opportunities and missions this way. Take on varied, randomly selected missions, e.g. car chases at high speeds, careful escorts or accident securing and traffic checks. By successfully completing these operations you move up in rank.

Ich weiß nicht, ob ich gerade ein Polizeispiel spiele oder eine Reality-Show, bei der die Hauptfigur ständig stolpert. Der Autobahn Polizei Simulator 2 schafft es, dich gleichzeitig zu schmunzeln und den Kopf zu schütteln. Man denkt: „Okay, ich fahre Patrouille, halte mich an Regeln, kümmere mich um Unfälle“ – und fünf Minuten später sitzt man kopfüber im Graben, während ein LKW einen Reifen verliert, der scheinbar aus dem Nichts kommt.

Das Spiel ist neutral im Ton – du bist Polizist, du machst deinen Job – aber der Humor entsteht automatisch durch die absolut absurden Situationen: PKWs, die plötzlich durch Leitplanken fliegen, ein Stau, der aussieht wie ein Domino-Effekt aus Autos, oder ein Bürger, der nach einem Bagatellunfall plötzlich auf ein Mikrofon schreit, als hättest du gerade die Welt gerettet. Und das alles während man versucht, die Verkehrskontrolle einzuhalten.

Die Patrouillen selbst sind erstaunlich normal – bis man merkt, dass die KI völlig eigene Vorstellungen von Verkehrsregeln hat. Ein Fahrer biegt ab, ohne Blinker? Sofort eine wilde Verfolgungsjagd, bei der man sich fragt, ob man ein Bußgeld ausstellen oder einfach nur selbst aus dem Auto springen sollte. Und während man denkt, das kann doch nicht passieren, passiert genau das: Autos stapeln sich in unmöglichen Winkeln, Helikopter kollidieren mit Brücken und du mittendrin.

Die Spielmechanik belässt alles bei neutraler Simulation, aber die Welt drumherum ist wie eine verrückte Karikatur der Realität. Du sitzt im Streifenwagen, radioaktiv-froh über dein kleines Polizeileben, und dann passiert etwas völlig Banales – zack, Chaos deluxe. Die Mischung aus ernsten Polizeiaufgaben und absurden Situationen sorgt dafür, dass man gleichzeitig denkt: „Oh, cool, das ist Simulation“ – und fünf Sekunden später: „Nein, das kann nicht wahr sein.“

Fazit:
Autobahn Polizei Simulator 2 ist ein ernsthaftes Polizeispiel … mit einem permanenten Augenzwinkern der Realität. Man lacht, man staunt und fragt sich, wie viel davon tatsächlich realistisch ist. Für alle, die Verkehrskontrolle mögen, aber auch Freude daran haben, dass Autos, Bürger und sogar Reifen eigene Comedy-Plots entwickeln, ist dieses Spiel perfekt – absurd, witzig und trotzdem ernst genug, um den Job zu machen.
