Underdeveloped game with huge ideas. Unfortunately backed during the early days and now this is unpolished and rushed out the door.
pretty cool game, fun concept, just wish it was fun.
No shared resources provides a weird play loop where it seems like there's a skill for gathering every resource and creating every type of gear/weapon, but not really any way to specialize the labor.
With the low update rate, it plays like an old flash game, or end game AOE2.
Quite a unique game. I had the most fun playing cooperative. Simple enough for low skill players. Deep enough for high skill players.
Single player is interesting. The game transitions from a tower defense into a bullet hell as difficulty increases. Fun, if you don't mind a challenge.
It was a great idea, and it's not a bad game, but I'm going to go with not recommended.
Please note however, this comes with a caveat that I have not tried a lot of custom or multiplayer, so my review is basically just for the campaign.
So I like the variety of things you can build and do, and it could potentially be a pretty fun city builder/rpg/strategy, however said campaign seems to rush you with its objectives and therefore I feel like I wasn't really encouraged to get into the intricacies of it.
Other issues I had with it, for its simple 2D graphics, it sometimes lagged when I played, or the animation wasn't very smooth. Also all the dialogue is text, yet in the campaign it's pretty short and pretty bad; would have expected more from a game not limited by voice acting or elaborate graphics.
The game itself is kind of cool, but late game I found the best strategy to be just spawning lots of resources, starting high level buildings, and then just letting the AI villagers finish the projects. Gollems, and some of the defense towers are pretty over powered, and unfortunately they seem to be the key to victory. I kind of wish the game had focused more on smaller units and leading troops rather than just building OP gollems and defenses.
So yeah, I wanted to like it, but I didn't think the campaign was great. However you might like the multiplayer, and there may be users who have a blast with custom maps. I just personally found the default game to be lacking.
This game is an absolute hidden gem. If you're looking for a long RPG with persistent characters and levels that stay with you, try this out. It's genuinely fantastic. It also has a civilization style 'age advancement' as the campaign or the missions progress.
The only downsides with it is there appears to be a memory leak after a few hours that causes maps to run sorta bluh but you can quit and finish easily. The game also seems weirdly choppy when characters move, and if a sequel is made it would be nice to be addressed.
Multiplayer also is iffy. While it works, it seems that whoever joins needs to manually reconnect occasionally, but all of your equipment and inventory is the same so it's not a big deal.
Definitely one of a kind game. I might be bias o this because this is really close to a style game that I have wanted to make. I like it quite a bit and with a few easy tweaks this game could have massive replay ability.
Developer abandoned the game, and until that changes this will be a hard no for me.
If you are looking for a game that your year old can play without having to play but feel like they are doing something even though it's just AI working, and seemingly building things randomly in some kind of sequence.... it's like you can just watch... but they can feel like they are playing without it actually mattering what they do cause .... it's more like just watching a video than playing a game... I don't know what this is sort of reminds me of those "games" like adventure communist or whatever it's called. Is it worth the money.. yes, just for the experience alone... 58 minutes later.. I am still bewildered that this is being sold as a game.
Really nice little gem this. It deserves way more attention than it gets. It has a lot of depth and core elements that make it fun. Unfortunately the multiplayer was giving me and my brother trouble, it doesn't work like it used to. I would say try it and see if you can get multiplayer to work, if that's what you want and just refund it if you can't get it working. You should be able to test it after an hour. Shout out to the dev as well as i'm having multiplayer troubles(it crashes after it auto-saves i think).

Ich mag das Spiel wirklich sehr, aber diese ständigen Abstürze nerven und sind beim Adventure zb. immer an der gleichen Stelle. Ich komme im Spiel nicht über Kapitel 10 hinaus. Schade, es hätte wirklich gut sein können, aber wenn ich lese, dass diese freeze Probleme seit 2018 auf Steam Thema sind, ärgere ich mich jetzt nur, nicht vorher richtig geschaut zu haben.
Really interesting game with a lot of skills and progression.
It suffers a bit from not having a clear idea of what it wants to be. You build stuff, collect resources, progress your skills, that's the core gameplalay loop and it's very satisfying. But the campaign is more of a tutorial, and the survival and skirmish modes are very basic, fast-paced and ultimately feel like a placeholder. This game is great but would have been a masterpiece if it took the time to develop a game mode that better utilizes its excellent progression system.

There is be a memory leak issue that will cause the game to crash randomly. Looking through the forums this seems to be a long standing issue that the Developer never fixed. The game is no longer being updated, so unfortunately I can't recommend Aurora Dusk: Steam Age.
This is a hidden gem for Steam! Absolute must buy if you want a fresh take on a RPG/strategy/sim blend. It offers a unique experience with guiding a little town with its autonomous AI inhabitants all working to better themselves and protect their town. Imagine playing with Sims and they can build their own town from scratch, craft their own equipment but you also have to hold off waves of enemies or destroy their town, guiding everyone in yours and rallying them to raids as needed.
The freedom the AI townspeople have and the way they build, craft and level up is something I've seen very rarely in gaming. It's almost like they are little Sims with their own lives. You can help or sit back and watch as much as you like, but the player can really make a huge difference with the right involvement and choices. There's a fun campaign with a story to follow that introduces you slowly to all the features of the game and expands the scope of what you're fighting with some different styles of maps and enemy attacks. You also have sandbox modes you can set up a wide range of factors to make it easy or hard and change game types to give a lot of replayability.
The game is well designed. The 2D sprite graphics might detract a bit, but if you can deal with it, you'll have fun with this one.
okay, its been a while since i played this really interesting game. and i plan to play it again.
what i recall is this:
i didnt finish it, because i had a problem with one mission, but that is no big deal. the problem was me, not the mission, if i recall that correctly.
the fascinating thin about this game is that the other people in your town build and develope the town with or without you.
you can nudge them into this or that direction, but you are not necessarilly needed. and that actually works!!
you can influence stuff, you can do stuff, you can make a difference, but the AI run other citizens and soldiers and golems and what have you get stuff done as well.
and it is not in a scripted way. you can watch them develope the town according to all the limitations due to time and resources.
you can for example begin certain projects and they try to get them to fruition. by the normal game mechanics.
or you can have them begin their own projects.
played this over a year ago, but i can say with certainty that i was impressed by the games AI.

edit: and you can develope your own character in many different ways as well, if i recall correctly.

Fun and loaded with a vast number of useful skills. The Campaign is shorter than I would have liked but multiple game modes more than makes up for that with replay value.
It's a pretty interesting game, a semi autonomous village sim where all your characters are persistent, and you can make as many as you want. They level up all their stats individually and it's even fun to just leave running sometimes to see what your characters levelled afterwards.
My only complaints are:
1. It feels like there should be another game mode or two to justify levelling your characters.
2. Perks level up WAY too slow. Like, the stats level up fast, but the skill points that unlock new perks for your characters don't level fast at all. I think after 60 hours my highest level character was still around the middle level perks
3. Lastly, developer, please save files to steam cloud. I lost all my data from the last time i played...
Not meaning to make this sound like a bad game, this game is fantastic once you get past the cheesiness and sloppy UI lol.
This is a hard game to review. I had to come back to it several times to "get it" but once I did, I enjoyed it...for a while. The main story is fairly short and the challenge/survival modes are good but repetitive. The main thing is that you are a cog in a village, you can manage a lot of things, like where troops go and how many resources are planted, but the villagers will also go on their own and do things.
For the mechanic and replay-ability, I'd recommend it at the $10 price.
Oh, and when it talks about companions, those are characters that you've already leveled up. They can join you in later games but are a bit OP. Thought I'd mention that since I couldn't find it before.
Joins discord of a dead game in 2023 I found it a bit late but I've had a lot of fun with this one! Few games allow the amount of unique character automation as this game. It's almost more fun to create an AI and sit back to see how it does than to actively play! The character and companion stat progression keeps me testing them as they level up as well. Any suggestions on other games that attempt this?
A fun game system with an okay campaign and not very fun sandbox.
Gameplay revolves around building up a city (production buildings and defenses) to defeat an enemy base.
What really sets it apart is that while you have control over your own character, the rest of the citizenry has a mind of its own.
If they want armor, they'll build a forge. If they need food they'll go cook some. They'll even build defensive towers. Full 100% autonomy with no limitations. You don't get to plan out every building and action, the NPCs are largely making their own decisions.
The tradeoff is less control and sometimes NPC actions would compete with your preferred resource use, but overall it really made it feel like I was in a world of actual people, which I really enjoyed.
You do still have heavy influence on your town's progression, for example if you start a big/expensive project the NPCs will work on finishing it, and you can build extras of resource generation buildings to encourage that type of output.
Unfortunately the game doesn't do a whole lot with this. The campaign was fine, putting you through various scenarios with various challenges, and it was a nice introduction to the games' tech progression and combat strategies. Sometimes it felt a little repetitive but overall I enjoyed it.
Sandbox mode is where the game really came up short in my opinion. The inability to recruit more people made things feel very limited, and fighting AI didn't feel very satisfying since they basically were towns just like yours minus a human character guiding/pushing them forward.
I think this type of system could be really fun and chaotic if thrown into a more dynamic living world: NPCs with unlimited autonomy populating a city the human character influences and contributes to without direct control, in a world of similar cities, with populations and borders that could fluctuate at will.
The concept of this game is great and I enjoyed playing the campaign but overall it feels like a cool idea in search of a world to live in. If you want a few hours of fun experiencing that sort of unfulfilled potential, then I cautiously recommend this game.
so came back to this game after a while it had some bugs before but was playable but now it just freezes on the first wave every time in survival fix your crap yo.

Its a really fun and comfy game, the best part is that your character keeps its xp in all modes you play, so it helps maintaining the feeling of progression.
The game got enough updates and felt like a love project from the creator, and honestly if it was in the workshop, the game would be perfect.
It's a very strange take on the genre. The concept is, theoretically, a city-builder.
The core gimmick in the game is that your allies/townspeople can, and will, autonomously do anything you can do. That includes planting, harvesting, and building- but also, placing buildings. There isn't really a base design aspect to this game, because a couple dozen AIs are running around slapping buildings down everywhere. That's somewhat counteracted by the fact that every economy building in the game, like saw benches, stonecutting tables, smelters, all have fairly low durability, cannot be repaired, and simply vanish after a certain number of operations. To the extent that you build a city, you're really just re-building those work stations to help the AI along.
You cannot give orders or priorities to your townspeople- they are well and truly autonomous, and they don't share their inventory. You, and each of them, are on your own individual quest to gather food, build weapons, train your skills, and fight enemies, only incidentally assisting each other by proximity and shared buildings. (Get used to them "using up" the building you're working at, forcing you to build/switch to a new one.)
All resources, including metal and stone, are "planted" in the ground by placing mana, and a few moments later they spawn. This is kinda neat. The AI is fully capable of this, too, and so they will plant everything, everywhere. They harvest quick though, so again, the clutter never gets wildly out of control.
There's a practice based skills system in this game, which is maybe its biggest strength, as literally every activity you do will level your stats and skills. That feels fun, and like there's progress to be made, but.. it never quite pans out.
The truth is, you're just one guy out of 20+. The campaign pretty much plays itself- having completed it, I'm not convinced that I was ever crucial to the map completing at any point (except one map that had some non-combat objectives on the map that the AI ignored). Several maps I "won" while I was busily sitting at home farming and leveling skills, the enemy waves crashing on the walls and being slaughtered by my dutiful townspeople, and the defensive towers and golems they built, and the mercenary units they recruited, without any interaction from me.
The game is a cool CRPG stapled to a cool simulation toy, and unfortunately, the ill-fitting combo makes both sides lesser. I can't recommend the game unless you're maybe a game designer interested in seeing a game with interesting mechanics, executed decently, that doesn't come together into something coherent at the end. I'd really like to see what the developer makes next though.
A game where, in a very basic and limited kind of way, you have the ability to configure the AI to play the game for you.
Mind, you CAN make all the decisions yourself, and I cheesed my way through the campaign's highest difficulties by kiting and using ranged weapons, but it's actually far more interesting to try to configure a set of instructions for the AI that results in a victory without your ever needing to intervene.

Я прошел кампанию, и решил было, что в Авроре ловить больше нечего. Весь контент и игровые механики исследованы. Дополнительные режимы особого интереса не вызывают.
Но на следующий день я всё же запустил игру. А потом ещё. И ещё.
Никак не мог оторваться. Экспериментировал с прокачкой и экипировкой персонажей, с настройками режимов игры. И всегда хотелось попробовать что-то новое. Постоянно приходили мысли "а вот что, если так сделать? Или лучше вот эдак?"
И в итоге наиграл добрых 30 часов. И, возможно, это ещё не предел.
Что же из себя представляет Аврора.
Это некий гибрид стратегии непрямого контроля, РПГ, башенной защиты и немного - симулятора выживания.
В начале мы создаём персонажа. Или двух. Или 10. Да сколько угодно. В кампании мы ограничены только одним героем. А вот в других режимах можно выбрать до 9ти персонажей. Один из них будет главным, а остальные - помощниками. Впрочем, от главаря по сути своей они ничем не отличаются. На них можно переключаться, их можно выделять рамкой. А ещё их можно отдать под управление ИИ. Который, к слову, можно тонко настраивать. Или выбрать один из готовых архетипов: лучник, маг, шахтер, плотник и тд.
Можно сделать из помощников устрашающую личную гвардию. Или же рабов, которые будут добывать ресурсы для главного героя.
Вариантов почти бесконечное количество.
Игровых режимов 2: схватка и выживание. В "Выживании" мы отстраиваем город и защищаем его от наступающих орд Тёмных Сил.
В "схватке" - сражаемся против городов ИИ, которые точно также отстраиваются и развиваются.
В игре предусмотрена смена эпох, как в Цивилизации или Age of Empires. Начинается всё в каменном веке, а заканчивается в эпохе победившего стимпанка.
Под нашим прямым управлением находится только ГГ и его помощники. Остальные горожане делают что хотят. Строят ненужные вам здания, размещают защитные башни в совершенно ненужных местах. Впрочем, я немного утрирую.
К тому же ИИ горожанам можно тонко намекать, какая постройка необходима в данный момент. Стоит лишь начать её строить, а потом оставить недостроенный остов. Какой-нибудь ушлый поселенец обязательно достроит ваше здание. Возможно не сразу, правда. Таким нехитрым способом можно экономить ресурсы. Которые, кстати, добываются довольно медленно. Добывать их может наш ГГ и его спутники. Причем у каждого есть свой инвентарь.
Прочие поселенцы тоже их добывают, но исключительно для личных нужд.
А ещё практически любое действие прокачивает соответствующий навык, начиная от размахивания булавой, и заканчивая металлургией, умением наездника, и скиллами ношения штанов и обуви.
С военными действиями похожая система: ИИ поселенцы по сути могут только отражать нападения.
Чтобы атаковать кого-нибудь, приходится нанимать солдат в казармах, гарнизонах, осадных мастерских, а также строить големов.
Обидно, конечно, что кроме кампании и 2х настраиваемых режимов, в игре больше ничего нет.
Очень не помешали бы сценарии и дополнительные кампании.
А так, за неимением дополнительных активностей, Аврора рискует довольно быстро надоесть.
В неё приходится играть как в песочницу из разряда "развлеки себя сам".
Но, тем не менее, игра получилась более чем достойная, особенно в своей ценовой категории.
И, что немаловажно, очень оригинальная.
Собственно, за это я и люблю инди игры. За эксперименты с геймплеем и самые неординарные концепции.

The concept looked amazing, and I watched some videos on it and I really wanted it. But by the time I actually got into game the controls were clunky and it seemed painful! This however was a few years ago, and I hope they fixed some of the issues. I just felt like this game had very cheap UI, and it kinda felt like a free Flash game you use to play on your favorite website back in the day. All of this is okay, because if you really like this genre it may be worth the $10.
However, what made me come to write this review is: the day after I bought it I wanted to refund it. However I learned after closing the game out, (going into the main menu and pressing escape) it doesn't actually fully close this game out. It leaves steam processes up and the game process up in the background. By later that next day after leaving my computer running I had racked up 30 so hours onto my profile, making me unable to refund this game. I don't know if this was intentional, but it felt really scummy. I've played this game maybe 30 minutes and somehow I have almost 80 hours into this game. I recommend if you try this game at all, check your processes in task manager, it may stay running after you close it out.

I really enjoy the concept of this game. You can make any character you want - whether it is a wizard, a knight, an archer, or the mixture of them all. Want to be a battlemage? Check. Want to me a gunslinger? Check. Want to kill your enemies with a rocket launcher? Oh, yes. Check. You’ll give the character the standard creation (e.g. name, gender, face, clothing, etc.) and then you have the skills/attributes that come along when you partake in a particular action or activity. Let’s say you want your character to become a knight. Well, you make a weapon, find an enemy, and attack away. You’ll level up your stats in melee. Want to progress in magic? Learn some spells and bombard your enemies.
The other interesting concept of this game is the fact that this game is somewhat autonomous. Basically, you gather your own resources – anything from wood, to metals, to food types; as well make your own equipment. While this is all happening you’ll gain stats in farming, mining, baking, etc. Now, while you’re doing this on your own, your village members will be doing the same. They’ll make their own house, gear, food, etc. You can set up the buildings for them to contribute to achieving that goal, or you can do it all on your own. They’ll also place down buildings that they deem is necessary for the village at that particular time – such as a tower for defense or a shaman hut to make ointments. You cannot, however, control the village people. They’ are left to their own devices.
[h1]The AI:[/h1]
This is where the weak AI comes into play. Some of these village people are village idiots. They’ll do their own thing by themselves and attack a fully defended base on their own and then proceed to get killed – losing most of the items on them. Yes, one can resurrect them at a shrine or church, but that defeats the purpose especially if you’re hoping for most of your villagers to coordinate a solid attack on the enemies.
At times they’ll also just stand around and do nothing. You have the ability to grow resources – which will grow into a tree, an animal, or a metal. They too, have this ability and it isn’t used as often as one would like especially if you’re under constant threat from multiple enemies. There is also a lot of retreating. Fancy Pants decides to attack the enemy only to run away, heal up, and repeat this notion a few dozen more times. Instead of being a contributor to the village, they want to play hanky-panky with his neighbors.
[h1]The Story:[/h1]
The campaign explains about the lore, history, and the current turmoil that is happening; it’s your job to save the denizens of this world. This title adds a lot of references from other games and places them in here as units, buildings, or even villains/heroes. I’ve seen an enemy that is well known in a particular shooter, or a certain building that is homage to an older RTS game (I won’t spoil it, but you’ll see and be like – nice!). The campaign starts off easy and then progresses to become more difficult than the last mission – maybe homage to the older RTS games? Either way, the campaign was a fun experience and the story was delightful.
[h1]The Unpolished: [/h1]
Honestly, there isn’t a lot of gripe towards this game, but they do take the biggest hits. The UI is not so friendly towards the player. For example, if you make multiple characters that are not of the village people, you can hardly see which one you’ll have clicked. There is a tab feature that brings up all the characters you made, but it doesn’t allow you cycle through them or allow you to see if you clicked that one correctly. There is an auto mode for your characters, but remember they’ll fall under the game’s AI and may just send them to their deaths.
The other thing that was frustrating was the camera. There was no speed increase when one would pan the camera, but you could pan very slowly, or use the middle mouse button which would also forward or back out your view. Honestly, if there was a pan camera speed for when one would use the cursor against the edge of the screen it wouldn’t even be a camera issue. Unfortunately, the current camera is just not finished.
Also, there is only one Skirmish map. You’ll play the same map over… and over… and over. No objectives, no other modes, no nothing. I think if there were more options in terms of skirmishes and way more maps the game would do better in this department as well.
Also, if there was a mod support for this game, it would be fantastic, but there is not.

Overall, a great concept and an enjoyable game that needs some polishing here and there. With a one man dev team (as far as I know) and a game that plays smooth for the most part, I would recommend as full price purchase. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth.

Jeu indépendant créé par un français. Concept rts / rpg très sympa.
100% all achievements in just under 43 hours. Some of that was spent trying to figure out how to mod the game. (Mostly unsuccessfully because my ability to code is terrible.) If you like the demo, you'll like the full game.
Have to say that right now, I'm neutral leaning towards positive about this game.
The big cons are, in my opinion:
*It's very much a grindfest. Skills are "learn by doing", with a few skills cross-linked.
*The campaign - which is supposed to double up as a tutorial - is very poor at teaching you what needs to be done.
Further adding to the grindfest is that your inventory is entirely yours, the other villages are effectively identical to players except they are AI controlled. I'd prefer it if they behaved more like servants, collecting raw materials (e.g. rocks, wood) and producing the intermediate materials (e.g. planks, cut stone), depositing said items in the warehouse (Town Hall).
Having got the bad points out the way, the rest is positive.
*You have permanent player characters that you can develop as you see fit.
*Your inventory does carry over from mission to mission
*All friendly NPCs will join in on big building projects
*There's a large quantity of items available, higher tier giving better bonuses.
Très bon jeu car très prenant et assez complet avec un mélange de stratégie et d'arcade. Les graphismes sont moyens mais la possibilité de modifier facilement le jeu est un gros plus (on peut donc aussi changer les graphisme). Il manque cependant un éditeur de carte et une aide en ligne sur les commandes dans les fichiers d'objets mais s'ils sont assez intuitifs.
Il n'y a non plus encore beaucoup de mods.
Ce jeu a un grand potentiel et j'espère que le développeur continuera à l'améliorer.

Jeu mêlant RTS et RPG, Aurora Dusk est la suite de Vendetta. Pour les connaisseurs, les principes restent dans la majorité les mêmes (crafting du stuff, passage des différents âges au château, ressources, combats) avec quelques changements qui pourront soit ravir les joueurs de la première heure, soit les mécontenter. Je citerai en exemple ici le partage des bâtiments (tous les bâtiments construits sont utilisable par la population alliée) la destruction des bâtiments au bout d'une certaine utilisation (nombre définie de création d'objets ou de ressources avant sa destruction automatique) ou bien absence de vente autre qu'au château. Je trouve que le gameplay reste néanmoins peu changé par rapport à Vendetta et je suis très content de cette acquisition.
Je recommande ce jeu réussi pour les nostalgique de Vendetta ainsi que ceux qui veulent le découvrir.
This game is interesting, a mix between RPG, Tower Defense and autonomous City Buildier.
It sum up like this: you and your gang of desperate have to defend from a horde (or more) of enemies, to do so you have to build a village, craft and advance to the various "ages" to get better equipment.
Pros:
- Lot of resources, weapons, armors, items... and almost everything is useful and upgradable.
- Age progression and development.
- Missions and skirmishes can easily hook you up.
- Persistent character progression. Basically you can endlessy develop your character.
- Spawnable resources with mana.
- Various races with their pros and cons, plus a lot of skills to develop.
Not good, nor terrible
- Music is nice, also the graphic if you don't zoom in too much.
- Bare-bone UI, it takes a bit to get used.
- Avatar customization. There is, essential but present.
- Some workstations have a lot to craft, others can be easily overlooked of have a age-limited use.
- Limited-use workstation. Per-se isn't bad, but npc tend to overuse them and then build in the other side of the town.
Cons:
- The npc AI. It seems to be some way to control the npc, but I didn't checked well. Leaving it unchanged, the npc AI is pure chaos: they build and spawn resources whenever they can in every possible place, charge head on and even take battle in the middle of a river. Oh, and expect random magic as they like to use it to hunt down animals.
- No village management at all. As I said, it's pure chaos.
- Clunky and limited troop control.
- No resource sharing, everyone (and the player) are on their own in gathering and crafting.
- Enemy AI isn't better (but can be pardoned if considering their ridicolous numbers).
In my opinion, the game could greatly improve if given to the player only the building organization and providing a shared resource pool, maybe with some drop-off locations or building able to spawn-generate resources.
In overall, is a nice and interesting premise with a lot of potential and a possible opening for modding in terms of adding items, buildings, enemies and scenarios/maps.
Even with its problems I would suggest it, if you are into the Tower Defense genre or like me want to try something interesting, but there is still work to do.
I'll give it a 7/10 with hopes for the future.
Ce jeu est plutôt sympathique à jouer. Stratégie en temps réel, vous pouvez jouer plusieurs races que vous pouvez jouer en plusieurs modes. Histoire, ou jouer une map et défendre votre position contre des vagues de monstres (vous pouvez paramétrer), ou en mode escarmouche que j'apprécie pas mal (vous créez votre ville, attaquez et défendez). Les autres villes sont visibles et vous pouvez tout détruire.
Vous pouvez mettre en auto play vos compagnons ou les jouer comme bon vous semble.
Le seul bémol à l'heure actuelle pour moi ce sont les bugs (sur une map en escarmouche, un gros freeze et puis plus rien, je dois quitter le jeu). Sur une autre map, je ne vois pas les arbres mais je vois leur barre de vie quand je passe ma souris dessus (ouf).
Vous ne pouvez pas faire pause et programmer des mouvements à venir. C'est vraiment en temps réel.
Dommage aussi qu'on ne puisse pas programmer en mode escarmouche la façon de jouer des ennemis (genre comme dans heroes 3 - par exemple : conquérant (agressif) - pacifiste - explorateur, etc.
Pour l'instant j'apprécie le jeu et j'espère que ce sera toujours le cas plus tard. Je raffole de ce genre de jeu.
Yeah its a fun game, but the replayability value is rather limited. I like to see larger maps though.
I do like the fact that once you create your character, its yours throughout the game and can keep building them up.
Its nice to see that your not the center of attention, but another player among your tribe.
What really annoys me is the game view port. If you scroll to the edge of the map and need to scroll the opposite way, the view port will become stuck and takes a little more effort to unstuck the scrolling using the mouse.
Another annoyance with the view port is the zooming function. Its rather sensitive (quick) and not accurate when zooming. It should zoom in/out from your mouse pointer and not from wherever it wants, this is a big issue to address and while not game breaking, but this will cause fanbase problems.

The vast array of weapons , clothes and armour reminded me of Windforge.
It's an adventure city building simulation tower defense RTS.
The UI is relatively good for this kind of indie game, it has a lot of options to build, the campaign does a good job teaching the concepts and the history is enjoyable.
While the graphics and designs are not always very polished, the success of the mix of all those gameplay concepts make it worth to buy and 'm looking forward for their next game.
It's an interesting take on the genre, as you're just one person making minor contributions (unless you make a whole team of characters and control them 24/7). That said, it feels like an idle game in the form of an RTS/RPG. This is one of those games where you have stats for nearly everything, and they improve by use (eg crafting, shooting, getting hit). It's tempting to just let the game run by itself and come back with gains. If you're one of those grind-junkies who likes watching their characters get stronger, this may very well be your cup of tea.
If you don't mind it being a little on the easier side and aren't put off by the rough presentation, it's a charming experience.
I like the game but it very obviously has a memory leak. I sometimes run it in the background with AI's I created and eventually the performance becomes terrible. When I check the system resources after 5 hours it says the game is using 13 gigs of memory which it definitely shouldn't be using. This is after ending the "session" as well so there shouldn't be anything except title screen stuff in memory. Then when I close the game after such a session the app doesn't actually close and instead hangs around as a process that needs to be force closed.
I still recommend it because I mean you don't really need to spend 5 hours playing a game in one sitting and I like the way the races and persistent progression work. You never feel like you are losing anything playing the game no matter what you are doing. I've played a few games like this and they are going out of favor for "balance" reasons but its something I don't think really hurts in co op games. Even if you do play the skirmish mode, the sting of defeat is softer when you are powering up for your next playthrough by doing any actions.
As for core gameplay, you control one unit or can control multiple and customize their AI's in a visual programming sort of way with weights for various task. It can play a little like a MOBA,RTS,Tower Defense, Town Simulation game depending on how you do it. You summon resources using magic and build up a base. Every building decays through use so everything is very fluid. There are also many different playstyles, you can build automonous golems, powered exoskeletons, ride on unicorns, hire mercenaries, hire servants to gather resources for you, become king and buy everything, you can build guns and shoot enemies, or summon an army of elementals or undead. Its pretty rewarding that you can play every character simultaneously by customizing their AI meaning you can enjoy watching an undead or elemental army form or up to 800 soldiers or battle bears march to their death even if you aren't playing that character directly.
Overall the game is obviously a little janky indie game but it is enjoyable, and has a lot of options especially at the price point.

また住民たちが勝手に行動するようにプレイヤー自身と仲間はＡＩを編集して自動で動かすことも可能です
プレイヤー次第でアクションからストラテジー、放置ゲーと化すことができます
個人的な感想としては
仕様上最大ＦＰＳが３０だったり能力の低いうちはモッサリ感が拭いきれないのもありますが
見下ろし型戦争ゲームとしてはやれる事が多くポテンシャルを秘めていると思いました
特に作成したキャラを仲間として連れていける際の上限が非常に多く（１３０人まで動作確認済み）
またそれぞれＡＩを作って設定して眺めることができる これは他のゲームではあまり見られない物だと思います
アーリーアクセスこそ終了していますが ゆっっっくりと開発の状況がツイッターなどで確認できるので
これからも面白くなる事を期待しています

I bought this game for the multiplayer, expecting it to be an easy process. Turns out the in-game multiplayer server, does not work. It seems to have been an issue since last year. I understand there are ways around it, but the game should really use a better and fixed system.

普通のRTSとは違って操作できるのは自キャラだけ。
全てを自分でやる必要がないので気楽ですがAIキャラは弱いのであまり頼りにはなりません。
そのあたりはプレイヤーキャラが活躍できるように調整されているのでしょう。
一番面白いと思ったのは色々なプレイスタイルができる点。
ひたすら防衛施設を建てるもよし、装備を固めて前線に突入するもよし、魔法で遠くから味方をサポートするもよし。
自キャラをAIに任せることもできるので放置プレイもできます。
全実績難易度：簡単
Really neat game that I recommend. I passed it up for awhile because the graphics didn't appeal to me. Steam kept popping it up as similar to other games that I liked and then a friend of mine said "I need to try it.". I really like it and have had great fun playing it.
The bad -
Not much bad. I wish there were more graphics options, character models, faces, outfits, etc. There needs to be many more skirmish maps and more options to customize the skirmish games. Even more stuff - building types, weapons, etc. There are 100's of things to make as is but more would be better. More dungeons + NPC monster factions in skirmish mode. There doesn't seem to me to be a great variation in the different races, I'd make the variations bigger to really make the race you chose more important. It needs cloud saves.
The Good. - It's fun. Your character can be anything they want and if you want to play something else just start working towards it. Like if you are a mage type and decide you want to be a knight, make some armor and weapons and start melee fighting..
Awesome sandbox skirmishes. I made suggestions to improve them above but even as is they are great fun. I haven't played co-op but it'd have to be great. I didn't encounter any bugs, in free camera mode the camera sometimes doesn't want to move when I mouse to the edge of the screen but it'll end up moving so more of an annoyance than a bug, other than that no issues. It's a small download.
I know I didn't write my most detailed review here but I like the game. For me to like a game with this type of graphics says a lot because if you look at what I normally like it doesn't look like this. Besides there is a demo. I didn't play the demo so I'm not sure how much it shows but I'd imagine it'll be fun enough no matter how limited it is. It won't be my favorite game of all time but even after I beat all of the campaign missions on hard levels, I'm sure I'll still play a skirmish from time to time. For me that's a tremendous value as 99% of games after I complete them I never go back. I hope they add to it and I'll be watching their future games.

普通に自分で操作してもプレイできるが、基本オートで放置し、時々指示を出すだけというプレイもできるのが楽で良い。
どの時代に何を何個作るかキャラ毎に設定することもできるので、戦闘特化や内政特化のキャラもオートで育成できる。また、10人でも20人でも自キャラをフォロワーとして連れていけるので、最強の戦闘集団をオートで育成することもできる。
・・・もしかしたら、オートプレイ用のAI調整がこのゲームで一番面白い点なのかもしれない。
[h1] コンセプトは良いが、建築回りの融通が効かなさすぎる [/h1]
RTSにおける市民の一人として生産、戦闘を行い、防衛やコンクエストをするというコンセプトである。
鍛冶師として武器の配給に集中するもよし、パン屋になって市民にパンを配り係になるもよし、装備を固めて単騎特攻をするもよしといった形である。
といった面白さがありそうなものなのだが、後述する建築回りの問題のせいで、このコンセプトを楽しむことができなくなってしまっている。
防衛ルールの場合、一定周期で敵が来ることとなっており、この場合、防壁や砲塔といった建物をある程度うまく配置する必要がある。
プレイヤーが配置を指定することもできるが、NPCもそれぞれ勝手に建物を建てようとする。しかし、その場所や種類、優先順位はあまり考えてくれないのだ。
特に一番厄介なのが防壁や砲塔を建てている最前線に植林などをしてくることである。
建物はプレイヤーがDeleteキーで破壊することが可能なのでまだ良いのだが、植林や鉱脈は採取可能になるまでの成長待ち+すべての採取が終わるまでの時間の間、その場所に一切建物を置くことができなくなる。
つまり、防壁を建てようと予定してた地点に気まぐれに植林をされると当面そこは空き地にならざるを得なくなってしまうのである。
なんとか防壁や砲塔の予定地を確保できても、NPCが建築に協力的になってくれるとは限らない。
大抵時代遅れの砲塔をどうでもいい場所で熱心に作り、ほったらかしの予定地は敵の襲撃で脆くも崩れ去ってしまう。
完璧にこちらの指示通りに作ってくれとまでは思わないが、まったく協力してくれない、なんなら邪魔をするというのはかなりのストレスだ。
一応仲間システムがあり、何人かの市民はプレイヤーが別途用意したキャラクターを登場させることができ、仲間に限ってはAIを指定したり、個別指示することが可能なのである程度はコントロール可能である。
しかし、操作性はそこまでよくないし、多数の市民に逐一指示を出していては最初のコンセプトが丸潰れである。
例えばマップのエリアを指定して、特定の範囲はプレイヤーしか建築不可のようにするとか、特定の建物を優先するような指示が出せるようにするとか、
大雑把にNPCをコントロールできる仕組みがあればもう少し楽しめたかもしれないと思う。

Game is quite nice, as an active game as well, but being able to zone out, while my dude runs around creating his own little life for himself, is a nice touch.

This game is quite enjoyable if you enjoy a sort of single playe RTS style game. The leveling process can get a bit tedious, and the campaign on higher difficulties will crush your computer's usable memory. That said, the game is worth playing.

RPG designed for multiplayer. Make characters. Build things. Fight things. Get levels. (You know the drill). Your character is persistent across different games.
Your village will generally have some AI allies also fighting, crafting, and planting rocks (yeah I don't know quite how that works either. Literally magic.)
What you can build depends on how advanced you are. You advance over time and have to upgrade your town center every so often (fill it with resources)
Reasonably intuitive though the minutia can be a bit daunting. The campaign functions as a kind of tutorial which mostly covers things.
I find the computer townspeople are competent enough generally, but the game is at it's best when there's a few humans running around.
The game does have serious bugs though. Expect semi frequent crashes (once every few hours for me). You might not even be able to beat the main campaign (there are some work arounds in the forums).
The story isn't that good, and killing wave after wave of enemies can get boring.
It's also originally French and the translation isn't very good.
It will probably get better, but even in the state it currently is I'd say it's worth it.

И это тот самый случай, когда все три составляющие живут себе вполне бодренько и действительно нужны: Хоть мы можем, как в любом рпг, взять большой топор в руки и огненный посох в зубы, поднять орду нежити и пойти самолично отправлять местное население на тот свет - что в режиме выживания, что в режиме схватки без развития экономики своего поселения и некоторых сооружений точно не обойтись. Те же топор, посох и книги заклинаний делаются на станках нашего поселения и по мере застройки оно развивается в технологиях: начинаем мы с деревянного века с палками в качестве ультимативного оружия и шалашом как лучшим доступным строением. Но вот построились парочка охотничьих костров и тех же шалашей, народ начал готовить еду, вооружаться примитивными средствами геноцида и вуа ля - наступает каменный век! Шалаши сменяются простенькими домиками, будущие рыцари обзаводятся каменной броней и вырезают из дерева первые щиты, а для пущей надежности некоторые умельцы уже собирают из булыжников голема, какой смело сможет сдерживать своей невозмутимой грудью сотню врагов пару минут, пока тех убивают. Железный век говорит сам за себя, но вот с прибытием в век эфира любители сжигать полчища противников взглядом испытают трепет приближения самого вкусного - магии. На алтарях разной направленности появляются первые волшебные палочки, посохи и заклинания, чей ассортимент расширится в следующий, золотой век. И вот спустя в среднем сорок минут игры наше поселение становится городом с сияющими латами паладинами, могучими волшебниками, инженерами, полководцами, окруженными небольшой армией поддержки, и другими представителями рпг ролей, какие с нетерпением развивают экономику и оборону нашего форта или врываются в волны врагов, сея смерть и разрушения, выкашивая сотни врагов единолично. Да, так и есть - при некоторых настройках вы вполне можете уже через пару десятков волн иметь настоящее побоище на экране с участием пары тысяч чудовищ против полусотни ваших жителей и их подчиненных, укреплений, артиллерии и толпы механических защитников. Когда же расцветает век пара - на происходящее можно просто смотреть с удовольствием. Где еще увидишь, как осадный голем, огромный стальной потомок наших детищ из каменного века, поливает пулями и ракетами наступающих скелетов, зомби и драконов, а стоящий за ним ледяной маг в экзоскелете посылает тучи сосулек во врагов, соревнуясь в количестве убитых в минуту с некромантом, вооруженным двумя узи и своей личной армией нежити? Конечно не все идеально - бывают вылеты и не все отполировано до зеркального блеска, но обновления довольно часто приходят, а на отсутствие обильных месторождений графония лично мне глубочайше плевать. Желающие проверить видеокарту на тугоплавкость могут пойти посмотреть на пяточки Геральта или запустить очередной крузис)

There are few games that are truly unique. This game is worth playing largely for the sake of how unique it is. You are a citizen within a town and you partake in a variety of activities to keep the town alive. That is a pretty fun experience.
Stability wise the title tends to crash more than it should (as of this writing), but there is an aggressive autosave so you will lose little progress. Additionally some design decisions I disagree with (such as the limited use of workshops; becomes a lot less fun when you have 100 people in the town), but fortunately the game is easy to tweak the settings of each resource, item, and structure with a text editor.
Downsides...biggest issue is while there is a fair deal of content it focuses on breadth rather than depth. Next issue is the AI in how limited it tends to be; this becomes highly apparent in combat.
I hemmed and hawed a lot about this one but I finally decided I wouldn't recommend this game as it is. However, I would highly recommend that whoever is interested in the game play the demo available and see for yourself. The game is recently out of early access and will likely be developed a lot further.
Overall, I appreciate what the developer was trying to achieve, and I think it's really impressive that they've created a whole game by themselves, I just think that the different features need further development in order for it to fully represent what they're describing it as. I think the screenshots and gameplay videos are a little misleading as to the level of world customization and how sandbox the game truly is.
I'll definitely keep tinkering with it, but I kinda wish I'd played the demo before I purchased the game.
Pros:
+ The artwork, although a little amateurish is cleanly integrated, endearing and suits the vibe of the game
+ I think the visuals are pretty nice, and each sprite looks cute and detailed
+ Interesting character levelling system with lots of different skills (no level cap!)
+ Multiplayer feature (although I haven't tested it out, the potential to play with your friends is always a bonus
+ Neat progression ideas, going from wood to steel and having magic incorporated along the way
+ Ability to create fully custom games
+ Fun if you want to fool around and watch waves of mobs be killed
+ Customizable computer AI
+ Has a lot of potential to be a really fun game
Cons:
- The main menu and font used is really unfortunate to look at and cheapens the game
- Visual glitches and bugs when playing for a long time
- Difficult to share resources among the characters you control, which is annoying if you want them all to collaborate on a building.
- Despite there being customizable AI, there's no explanation as to how this works, so it's a pretty steep learning curve; this leads me on to:
- The CPU villagers are STUPID. If you have non controlled villagers rather than extra companions with your character, be prepared for them to place buildings wherever they like and basically progress the game for you.
- The campaign isn't exactly new and exciting, and it is presented as a tutorial for you to understand the different items and buildings in the game. I don't particularly like this because it cheapens the campaign story and doesn't really explain how the different modes and things work when creating your own game.
- The 'sandbox' element is tentative- the AI places buildings for you if you have them and the progression is fairly linear. Also:
- All of the maps are premade, and there isn't much difference in terrain types apart from the rocky looking brown bits that slow down units. You can't even place your own paths since they're also premade into the maps.
- The entire game reads as a tower defence, but if you have the aid of CPU villagers, there's no real strategy element because they'll throw down your towers anywhere they please.
- If you don't have the aid of CPU villagers, the game is SLOW. There's no way to scale down how many materials you need to create a building depending on how many characters are present meaning actually building things is like pulling teeth sometimes.
- After a few games, it gets pretty repetitive. With there being no real need to create certain buildings or items to beat the mobs it just feels tedious and samey.
- The Ether age feels pretty disjointed from the rest of the evolutions. It is the only stage you need crystal for, which is also (in my opinion) the most tedious resource to get (Gold age isn't much better)
- The servants you can buy are so useful for collecting resources, but I feel like they are lacking development. It'd be great to be able to assign them different roles or choose what resource you want them to collect rather than, again, leaving it up to what the computer wants to do.
Das Spiel ist eine gelungene Mischung aus Aufbaustrategie/ Towerdefense und Rpg Elementen. Ihr könnt euch einen Charakter erstellen und neben der Kampagne auch direkt andere Spielmodi starten.
Dort lässt sich nahezu alles frei einstellen. Gegner Anzahl (andere Städte), Monster pro Welle, wie stark eure Ki Gegner sind etc. Im Spiel angekommen müsst Ihr Ressourcen sammeln und Gebäude errichten. Ich empfehle an dieser Stelle mit Freunden zu spielen und auf die Ki Kollegen zu verzichten, da dies deutlich mehr Spaß macht. Als Unterstützung könnt Ihr euch später Hilfskräfte anheuern die dann die lästige Sammel arbeit für euch übernehmen. So könnt ihr euch komplett auf das aufbauen, verbessern und kämpfen fokussieren.
Euren Charakter levelt Ihr mit allem was Ihr auf dieser Karte unternehmt, sei es Jagen, Bauen, Sammeln etc. Den Fortschritt behält euer Charakter, egal ob Ihr das Spiel verlasst, gewinnt oder verliert. Die Ausrüstung müsst Ihr euch jedesmal neu Bauen. Ihr müsst schon einige Partien spielen um an die guten Perks ranzukommen, die Ihrerseits wiederum gute passive oder aktive Boni gewähren. Das wiederum kann euch beim nächsten Spielstart einen guten Vorteil geben und so könnt Ihr auch nach und nach die Schwierigkeit eurer Gegner immer wieder anpassen. Einen Levelcap für euren Charakter gibt es nicht.
Zusammenfassend kann ich sagen das dieses Spiel im Multiplayer, egal ob mit Freunden oder Fremden, sehr viel Spaß macht. Es fehlen einige kleine Comfort Funktionen, wie zum Beispiel die Möglichkeit alte Türme abzureisen oder in neue aufzuwerten, das stört aber kaum.
Mit einigen kleineren Patches könnte das ohnehin schon gute Spiel, zu einem Grandiosen werden.
Von mir eine Kaufempfehlung an alle Rpg und Aufbau/Strategie Freunde die mal was neues ausprobieren wollen, fernab vom Einheitsbrei der uns heute serviert wird.
I saved the town by selling an unreasonably amount of baked bread to the market which has not crashed fortunately from wood to steam age.
Ammassed around 10k monies, I went and bought the best soldiers bread money could buy. You see 160 mechanized soldiers encircling the thousands of goblins and skeletons marching toward this bustling little town that I baked bread in.
Let's just say lasers could win over anything anyday :nippy:
Think I've given this game a fair shake at this point. In short, it's not good.
Let's go over why.
1. Absurdly unbalanced. Starts off a cakewalk and jumps up to impossible at the 11th hour.
2. RPG elements are underdeveloped.
3. Plays like a tower defence game where you don't get to choose the placement of your towers.
4. Impossible to make a cool looking or efficient town. NPCs drop their buildings wherever the ♥♥♥♥ and never build what is needed.
5. AI is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible. You cannot achieve victory without the AI cooperating.
Bad, bad, bad bad. Bad.
In short. If you like RPG and semi-autonomous city building. This game will be addictive like cocaine for at least 8 hrs. Worth the price without a doubt.
Pros:
+ persistent progress of your avatar’s stats between campaign/custom games/skirmish maps.
+ Stats develop. Similar to Skyrim ability growths.
+ no level cap. It doesn’t even break the game… doesn’t make sense but I’m impressed.

-Some form of memory leak? If you play for 5+hrs straight visual glitches start making UI/game elements invisible. Saving and restarting the game fixes it. The game does not lag however.
-I need more, if this had workshop integration it would be lining up for game of the year in the RTS & RPG genre, provided modders do their magic.
-Story has no voice over, I’m lazy so that’s a minus but a minor one at that.
Overall highly addictive and enjoyable game if you like progression. But very heavy on the time consumption so wouldn’t recommend for people who want a 10 min wonder, try Sacred 3.

Aurora Dusk has a lot of content and a unique playstyle for the pricepoint. At $9.99 ($8.49 currently on sale) it's a wonderful value.
I wish more games did what Aurora Dusk does, which is lets you create your own character and build a town and fight other towns. It's simple, it works, and it's great. You can either do everything yourself, or have NPCs helping you out. I haven't delved too far into the campaign, but I look forward to doing so once I've had more of a fill of the skirmish mode and trying different things out.

Presque 15ans après, je repense à ce jeux et je me demande ce qu'il est devenu, impossible de le réintaller sur mon ordinateur actuel, un peu deçu.
Et là qu'est-ce que j'aprend, il existe une "suite" spirituelle au jeux par le même dev' !!
J'ai créé un compte steam juste pour pouvoir l'acheter, toujours autant de plaisirs en jeux même si chaque partie plante au bout d'1h30/2h de jeux ^^

Awesomely deep game, massive customization, almost infinite replayability, you can sort of run it like an idle game if you're willing to do some real heavy lifting with the AI programming... If you're into games with a lot of complexity, this one has it in spades for a graphically simple indie title... the intricacy of the systems is downright impressive. I waited a long time to pull the trigger on buying this one... in hindsite, should have moved on it sooner. Well worth twice the price.

Aurora Dusk is one of maybe four or five games I have here on steam that I always go back to every now and then. It's a little hard to describe, but basically it's like a cross between an RPG and an RTS. At the most basic level: you make some characters, you gather resources, you build things and then make equipment with those resources, and kill monsters.
There's obviously a fair bit more to it than that, but that's the core gameplay. What I enjoy about it however is the fact that [b]anything you do, with the exception of movement, will increase your skills and stats.[/b] The game uses a system where there are core stats that give you bonuses to every skill tied to them, and every skill gives experience to its stat when levelled. In other words, everything you do will make you just that little bit stronger and will be carried over to later levels and battles.
What's even neater is the fact that you can customise your characters to specialise them with perks, (Bought with points gained from levelling up.) the skills you level, and with the equipment you give them. Everyone is capable of using any equipment or magic, but because they scale according to your stats and skill levels the effectiveness is entirely dependant upon how they have been built.
Did I mention the game's fairly moddable too? :3 The code is mostly simple to understand (Though gods help you if you get a single bracket or comma out of place. ¬_¬) and making custom equipment or character AI is a snap too. And if you're sick of getting dumpstered on a particular level, you can edit that level to give yourself more time to prepare; I won't tell!
I've got 244 hours in this and I reckon I've got some pretty nice value for money out of it. I'd waffle about it more but this is long enough, so I'll end it here by suggesting that anyone who enjoys watching numbers and skills go up, or anyone who wants something they can casually play every now and then, give the demo a try and see what you think. It's missing many of the features the full release has (Perks, companions, horses, cows.) but it'll give you a good idea of how it plays out.
Este juego lo recomiendo pero con muchos matices. El concepto es bueno y es hasta cierto punto entretenido, estrategia en tiempo real con unos enemigos que atacan en hordas y para contrarrestarlos manejaremos a uno o varios personajes. Tendremos que recoger recursos como comida, madera o minerales, elaborar armas, productos como papel o cuero, crear conjuros, etc... en ese aspecto está muy completo.
Los recursos que recoge cada personaje son solo para ese personaje, eso puede ser un punto a favor o en contra dependiendo de como se considere y no se pueden compartir ni añadirlos a algún tipo de almacén para que utilicen todos.
El juego está bien para echar unas partidas de resistencia de vez en cuando a quienes les guste el género pero a la mayoría puede que les resulte enseguida repetitivo y simple. A mi personalmente me ha otorgado muchas horas de dirversión y para mi es un juego divertido para echar alguna partida de vez en cuando pero el problema es que lleva mucho tiempo como acceso anticipado y las actualizaciones van incorporándose muy lentamente dando la sensación de que el juego nunca estará terminado.
Otro problema que le veo es que al tener unos cuantos personajes de nivel 200 el juego deja de resultar un reto y se hace bastante fácil.
No se lo recomiendo a todo el mundo, en todo caso recomiendo probar la demo y esperar a ver si algún día el juego termina por estar completo y sin fallos, como he dicho tiene potencial pero insisto que aún a día de hoy más de dos años después de su salida al mercado sigue dando la sensación de ser un juego incompleto y viendo el tiempo que se toman para actualizarlo puede seguir así mucho tiempo.

マイクロマネジメントやろうと思えばいろいろやれるけど、やっぱり見てるだけのほうが面白いかもと思える。忙しくも忙しくなくもなれるので、万人向け。たまに自分の村が蹂躙されるぐらいなら、必死にプレイしちゃう人でも、蹂躙されてるぐらいがちょうどいい人でもいける。村人が思い通りにならないのは、キャラのそれなりな可愛いさで、まあまあ許せる。
It's basically an Incremental/RTS/RPG hybrid game.
Things I always liked:
- Lots of skills to train, which feed into main stats, which then provide bonuses for a bunch of different skills
- Characters save their stats, even when the game crashes
- You can have multiple characters and use them all at the same time in custom games
- You can set simplified AI for your characters so you can idle while the game is running
Things I disliked before but now like due to changes:
- Crafting skills no longer just speed up crafting, and you can now upgrade equipment to give way more stats if your skill is high enough
- The higher campaign difficulties used to be awful because the AI was trash and you were left alone most of the time to deal with the hordes with trash equipment that limited how much your stats helped you. Now you can take everything with you to the next map, so you can max out your resources and upgrade a bunch of equipment to make yourself strong and all your comrades suck less when you move on.
Things I dislike:
- The game freezes and needs closing if you spend too much time off the default of 24 FPS
- The game cannot seem to handle too many things moving on the map, as having oodles of projectiles and units winds up lagging how fast they all get updated and redrawn
- Main stats don't help you upgrade equipment, [b]unless you put yourself in auto mode and let the AI upgrade your equipment for you.[/b] This seems like a bug.
Minor nitpicks:
- The character art is not good, but I'm not too bothered by it
- Some equipment doesn't benefit from upgrades as they give a flat buff that isn't based on any of your stats
Things I think I'd like but haven't bothered with:
- Mod support to add in things like new Ages, Items, etc.
In summary:
I like the game, a lot. It's got some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that bothers me, but the gameplay really clicks with me in most respects.
About a 4.2/5 game for me.
Get this, get this. You don't have to play this game, to win this game. You can build an AI set and let your character do everything on it's own.
I'm being genuine here, I love that. I love watching my team of custom made AI guys win.
Очень странная игра. В первом приближении она представляет из себя тавер дефенс с вариацией строительства и кача всякой магии и пушек. Но тут есть особенность в виде того, что персонажей у вас может быть больше одного, и качаются они все отдельно. Сам город тоже не стоит на месте, и крафтит и строит укрепления, но вот поделиться с вами не может, только станками пользуйтесь. В итоге выходит масовая резня либо с вашей стороны, либо со стороны противника. Если немного заморочиться, можно создать элитный отряд мастеров в своем деле и раскачать его. Для АИ ваших ребят есть очень тонкие настройки(например, в какой последовательности и с каким приоритетом крафтить разный шмот).
UPD. Тормозов не было, графики практически нет, тем не менее, игру я прошел, а делаю я такое нечасто. В целом рекомендую, если все остальное надоело.
Good sandbox/rts/godgame/rpg/citybuilder. It's pretty basic, you choose from a couple dozen maps to play out a skirmish with a few other factions (You can set handicaps and a surprising number of options with their potency. In other words, if the AI is too easy, you can have them cheat.) Then there's the survival, which allows you to set waves of enemies invading your village to a certain amount after a set time has past, or you could just set the waves to 0 for unlimited invasions whenever you want. Just push the invasion button.
Pixel-customization is there, but low at the moment. I really wish there was more options with regards to what you can do with your characters. I hear it all can be modded easily by those who have the ability to create assets.
I should mention that you are in charge of one character (More if you choose companions from your roster of created characters.), and the villagers pretty much just hoard their own resources and pull from those themselves. I'm not sure if their AI is set to take advantage of all the mechanics, the buy/sell mechanic from the market in particular and recruitment from the barracks. The most I can say there is that I hope the developer will get to it, as this game is still in early access.
I love grindy games, and this is a very grindy game. I believe you can grind to very high levels both character level and skill levels. You cannot take the equipment you make from one match to another new one, which kinda made me whine but I could understand there needs to be at least some balancing between games. You're basically starting from scratch every match, with the exception of your characters level/perk/skill levels.
You can set the starting age and ending age. You can customize the AI of your companions and main character, and even automate them so they carry out the AI priorities.
It's great fun for pixel-junkies like me who like to create their own narratives in games.
Symulacyjna perełka! Wygląda bardzo niepozornie, ale to nieoszlifowany diament. Gracz kontroluje jedną postać, pozostałe żyją własnym losem - stawiają budynki, tworzą przedmioty, walczą. Nie działają w żadnej koordynacji i często podejmują decyzje z przysłowiowego tyłka, ale jak na dzieło jednego człowieka jest to bardzo imponujące.
Warto zapoznać się chociaż z demem gry, które zawiera jej gigantyczny wycinek.
I bought this game yesterday for the $7.00 sale and have 31 hours as of posting this. Certainly feel I've already gotten my moneys worth and really hope this game continues to grow in content and perhaps have a sequel one day.
PROS:
~Almost everything you do lvls up a skill; farming, woodcutting, everything... character creation gives you a bonus in certain things but even a dwarven tank with armor making occupation can master magic, farming, or w/e just depends on how much you use it.
~The sheer amount of skills is staggering.
~Building and crafting: there is so much!
~You can recruit an army, yes an army of NPCs you pay for by selling resources, just awesome haven't seen that in a game before.
~Graphics: It's defidently oldschool as am I, reminds me of suikoden.
~Customization: Below I explain cons, the AI customizations allow you to try and balance the fights better. From age progress speed to population amount you can customise alot.
~LAN multiplayer: Been playing with wife and we both enjoy the game together, not sure(but hope) we can be against each other but she likes the team play better anyway.
CONS:
~AI is dumb; ally and enemy AI alike will sometimes attack towers with no hope of destroying it and be killed in the process, if it's the ally you're forced to keep making resurrection totems to revive them so they'll do it again over and over or just let them stay dead.
~Ranged attacks way too OP for dumb AI; Ranged missiles(darts, arrows, etc.) move very slow, this allows you to literally dodge enemy missile attacks, but land your shots everytime becouse AI don't dodge. As for melee they're usually slower and you can kite them, run shoot run shoot until they flee or die.
~Difficult to make challenging: Me and my wife by ourselves(no npc allies) at 10% age increase speed against 4 opponents with 6 population each at 25% age increase speed, and +10% power offered no challenge. Basically 2 vs 24, they have increase dmg and unlock new tech way faster and we stomped them. Huge part of this is how easily a bunch of defence towers make enemies just melt as you go about working on w/e.
~Tutorial is too fast paced: You're basically thrust into missions that slowly progress through the ages, which allow you to build new things as you go. Sadly you have up to 5 minutes to prepare each lvl which is barely enough time to harvest some resources and make a little gear before the attack, let alone time to explore the new buildings, and things you can craft. Don't be too discouraged by this, the other game options such as skirmish will provide you ample time to learn all aspects of the game.
Conclusion:
I really enjoy this game and recommend it to anyone that likes crafting/building games ESPECIALLY if you have a friend you can play LAN with. I really hope the dev can make the AI more challenging becouse right now it's so easy to exploit there weakness which is inabiliy to dodge missiles while I can. Hope this helps you potential buyers.

Love the game, I love the continued and frequent dev releases, even if some of them are small content updates. I agree with the comment that "community resources" aren't really a thing, and that could be a nice change. A resource pool that perhaps villagers could drop into. Regardless, I enjoy the game as it is. Beat the campaign, played a good bit in sandbox, and I will revisit soon, as there is a good amount of new content that I haven't seen yet.
Nice concept to make you feel like you are part of a village. The only problem is it feels like a bunch of individuals instead of a community because there's no shared resources.
You need to find food? You gather it yourself. Need it cooked? You cook it yourself. Need clothes? You hunt the skins, sher the sheep, make the linen, sow it yourself. Need a weapon? Go mine, smelt, forge yourself.
So it's basically a solo survival game with a bunch of pets to help distract enemies.
One of the few early access games that keeps getting continued updates. Great potential. Love having AI companions with their own will. Could almost be a god game where you can also manage build and of course everyone defends.

总之还是推荐玩一玩的，如果能加入中文就更好了！
This is a tower defense inspired game where you play as a single hero in a town of heroes. It's a bit like Majesty, except you also control a hero. The other heroes run around, build things, fight, etc. The AI is not very good, but it's way better than having to control everyone manually.
Buildings that craft things wear out...and rather quickly. So a big part of this game is actually upkeep. Your three stats (health, stamina and mana) all regenerate very slowly, so you need consumables to keep them up.
You need to gather some raw resources, process them into refined resources, and then combine them in some other building to make the final product. Meanwhile, waves of enemies attack you.
There are about 8 (?) technological levels that you progress through. During the campaign, it's after certain missions. But the campaign is a poorly written (many many many spelling and grammatical errors), kind of stupid, and for all intents and purposes it's just a tutorial to introduce you to the buildings/items step by step. Which is fine...you'll finish the campaign in an hour or two.
What is nice is that your hero levels up every time you play it...whether it's in a skirmish map or during the campaign. As you level up you gather faster, hit harder, etc. There isn't a level requirement for any equipment though and the levels, while helping, aren't overpowered. Probably minimum to maximum level is double to quadruple efficiency. It's nice but...takes a long time to get there.
The game is kind of fun to watch and play. You can set it up to be pretty easy, or very difficult depending on how many enemies you spawn and how many townspeople you start with. By adjusting those levels you could probably find a survival mode that suits you.
But it doesn't take long to 'see everything'. And although there are different types of weapons and spell classes and so on...everything is more or less the same.
The format of the game feels like it would do well with more creativity in weapon/enemy choice...the type of game is pretty cool. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it's going to get much better than this.
tl;dr: it's a cool sandbox survival game but the developers have made it pretty shallow. Play it for a weekend and then probably never play it again.

Have to say that this was a very nice enjoyment of a game.
first off let me tell you that I love both 4x and god games (where you have the power to do whatever you want)
The twist that you are just ONE of the citizens is enjoyable. they do things that can both hinder and help your plans, just like the first come first served mentality. wish you could dismantal buildings though, or target enimies buildings that you can use as a kind of superfuge.
The game however is enjoyable for the story yet not really that replayable, outside of difficulty just getting more and stronger enimies per level. I do however wish I could convince my friends to pick this game up so I could test the co-op or vs modes in multiplayer.
With a little more pollish, and maybe some graphics overhall due to the RPG/game maker feel, this game could be one of the best games in the city builder/god genre
*Tip to creator if they read these*
Placing other modes into the non story modes would be better. another plus would be to control your AI builds for citizens (like having the same option you have for your made characters)
Reccommendation is qualified by saying: WAIT TO BUY. Give it awhile longer for the developer to get further a long.
I'll start off by saying this game has NOTHING but potential. But It remains to be seen if the developer will realize the games potential. I'm giving the game a "thumbs up" because of potential and concept, and because poor reviews aren't going to help an in-development game AT ALL. However, At the moment its also not very pleasant to play, being extremely poorly optimized. I would recommend to most to hold off, unless you really want to get involved with the community and provide lots of feedback and testing info to the developer.
UPDATE: Negative Review status is no longer accurate, but neither is recommend. Though I find it fun, I am nuetral toward this game. Mainly because a couple old bugs still havent been fixed that are quite annoying to me.
Keep in mind this game isnt finished. Id only buy it if you want to help beta test and support the developer financially. If you have read the negative reviews thus far, you will have found out that none of them even played beyond the tutorial campaign. Even in its current state the game is still surprisingly quite fun and addictive. EDIT:The game is in much better shape now. No more freeze ups or crashes(at least for me)
EDIT: The FPS issue seems to have been fixed.
The real meat of this game is custom survival games and skirmish games(vs other villages/monsters), either against the AI or with/against friends in multiplayer. The multiplayer part so far appears to be LAN only. But the dev plans to make it full multiplayer.(Skirmish is still a bit buggy) EDIT: Full multiplayer has been added and so far in my testing appears to run well. Crashes once in awhile.
Custom survival is that. Custom. You can create your own entire village of characters, though you can only control one at a time, but they will all be what you want, and all have whatever names you give them. You set timers for events and how hard you want it to be. The maximum time so far is up to aprox 16.5 hours with 99 waves of enemies. Starts out rather easy but after a dozen waves or so you will be screaming for mercy as the types of enemies you face get stronger and stronger, possibly more numerous, depending on the settings you choose.
Apparently the game is recording every change to characters in real time. Every skill, every level up is saved as it happens. Your custom made villagers never stop gaining experience and levels. They retain all their gained skill levels forever and have them in every game you play. One of the achievments you can get is to have a character at or over level 1000.(exp gain has been slowed down alot it seems, so getting this achievment will take quite a awhile)
Each villiger has a ton of skills and abilities. Each one goes up when you use them. Each villager will focus on a set of skill and abilities based on their AI preset. EDIT: Your villagers now get perks, based on their race/career choice(I think) and you unlock new perks as you level up.
Skirmish mode is also totally customizable. You can create a custom village just like with custom mode. You can play with up to 10 villages on a map(or monster dungeons), but you can only control one villager at a time, always. You are, however, able to group up and give commands to hired mercenaries and constructed golems and battle machines in order to conduct organized attacks/defenses. If you do not control them, the AI simply has them do whatever it wants. There is no diplomacy. Everything is out to get you and each other.(You can set allies up before the game starts though)
The AI isnt that great right now. EDIT:It has been improved greatly since I wrote this. You can now create and customize your own AI pre sets. Syl has already made pre set AI scripts for each kind of villager career type and are used as default, but you can modify them all you like.
Despite the game being unfinished and with issues, it is still incredibly fun and engaging. If all you play is the tutorial campaign and you think that is the game, then you would be mistaken and go to write yet another ill informed negative review. (EDIT: There is a new tutorial campaign that is much better than the original)
There is only 1 person developing this game, so progress is quite slow. Only buy this game if you want to help out with development, giving feedback, bug reports and ideas. Its gonna be a long slog until this game is ready for release. EDIT: Game has now been released. Though there are still a few very old bugs present... The game is quite playable.
EDIT: Syl has been diligently working on this game every single day and updating it frequently the entire time Ive had this game, about a year and a half.. He is always checking the forum for bug reports and even occasionally responds to posts.
The game has improved significantly since I wrote this review. New content and several bugs/issues fixed. I am very close to changing this to a recommend review, but not quite yet. There are still a couple of annoying bugs happening in skirmish mode.

《Aurora Dusk: Steam Age》——中译名我还没想好姑且写作《奥罗拉黄昏：蒸汽时代》，究其本质而言，是一款混合了多种游戏形态的沙盒型生存游戏。如果细分起来，其中包括了模拟、沙盒、角色扮演、战略、生存等多种游戏模式。
在游戏中，玩家作为村落中的一员，要不断加强村落，抵御怪物的来袭，最终取得胜利。用最简单的话语来总结游戏的流程的话，那可以说是：
[b]采资源、造工具、打敌人、活下去[/b]
上文所述的“玩家作为村落中的一员”并不是客套话或是背景设定，而是确实如此。玩家确实只是村落中的一员，而其它由系统生成的 AI 村民是完全不受玩家指挥的。不过，玩家可以自己生成自己的同伴，并带着他们开始游戏。玩家可以在这些由自己生成的角色间自行切换，但同时只能操作一个角色，其它的可以开启 Auto 模式来活用。
既然要在村落中活下去，从 7 种种族中诞生的玩家与村民们要做的事情就是搜集素材、满足温饱、搭起工坊、铸造武器、搭建建筑、迎击敌人。随着村落的不断成长，将从最开始的史前时代不断迈进，进入石器时代、铁器时代，最终到达蒸汽时代——工业时代。每进入一个新的时代，就能解锁新的科技和新的建造物、武器、装备等等。
游戏中提供了包含动植物矿物在内等超过 20 种资源，270 种物件（装备、武器、食物等等），超过 50 种建筑，超过 70 种技能。
魔法和科技同时存在于这个世界中，你可以使用魔法，骑着独角兽驰骋沙场，可以掩藏在高塔上用狙击枪虐杀敌人，也可以搭乘巨大格雷姆一人挑起大梁。
在不断成长的同时，玩家还要考虑准备食物恢复体力、保证存活，考虑房子快速恢复身体素质。考虑防御工事的布局，雇佣兵的数量，如此种种。
游戏提供三种游戏模式，用以学习游戏系统的剧情模式，随时可以展开成长与厮杀的生存模式，至多可以在八个村庄相互战斗的冲突模式。玩家操控的角色可以横跨这三种模式，通过各种各样的行为不断积累经验，获得成长。
整体游戏下来，这是一款颇为有趣且耐玩的沙盒游戏。丰富而自由，但是也很难找到其它值得一谈的优点，因此下面的要点摘取更多的是在吐槽。这并不影响对本作最后的推荐态度。
* Flash 底层 + JS 组件构建游戏，完全开放的文件结构供高阶玩家探索更多可能。
* 因此决定了游戏界面和画风的简陋，还有时不时会出现的人小马巨或者人巨马小的诡异画面。虽然这不大肯定究竟是种族因素还是如何。但有关这一点是否应该算得上缺点就要由各位自己来判断了。
- 立绘美术风格与一般的审美差距较大。在玩剧情模式的我感觉压力很大。真的，压力，很大。你拉回去看看游戏介绍里的那两位角色就知道了。现在只想着赶快把剧情模式过完然后其它几个难度我是完全不想打了……
+ 魔法与科技并存的世界，大量的技能与成长路线。
- 但是很难搞懂角色的技能增长究竟有什么具体的体现。
- AI 的逻辑还是过于简单，或者说不好理解。有了建造中的建筑就一窝蜂而上，没有空间就会不断往村落外扩建，但是扩建起的建筑又不太能想象得出逻辑。经常是居住用房屋和武器用高塔混搭。
* 当然，在搭建大型建筑的时候，有一窝蜂来帮忙的村民也能很快加快建造速度。一个人在村落外造一座防御塔实在是太凄凉了。
- 等级和技能系统体现不出具体的用处。想当然的，你反复做了某些行为积累的经验能够作为你熟练的基础，但是这个熟练的体现似乎又过小，很难发觉。玩家要想收获到升级的反馈的过程就会显得很是漫长。
- 目前版本（1.3.4 抢先体验版本）的闪退率或假死率过高。虽然有自动存档机制不过还是太影响游戏体验了……
- 自动存档只有一个档位，如果你换个存档完自动记录就会被覆盖。但是剧情模式和另外两种模式的存档不是公用的这点倒可放心。
- 存档系统还不够好，在读取时你看不出来游戏的模式，只能从搭配的截图中勉强认出游戏的进度。每手动存档一次就会建一个新存档，如果你的存档习惯比较频繁的话，记得玩完后去读取模式里把多余的存档给删了。
* Aurora 是罗马神话中的曙光女神奥罗拉，因此这个词还有“曙光”之意。在游戏中玩家操控的城镇就叫“Aurora”，而敌方的军团就叫“黄昏军团”。如果用它们的文学义，还可以写成“极光黯淡”。【【【【
Amazing game, lots of customization and infinite potential for expansion. Could not get the Multiplayer LAN to work though, my IP comes up as 'null". Anyone else experience this? Even without the multiplayer working for me, this game is still 5/5
非常不错的游戏，与一般沙盒生存/建造/模拟类别的游戏不同的是，在本游戏里，你只是普通村民中的一员，其他村民是由AI控制进行自发的建造采集防御等，你不能控制别的村民行动，但你可以协助他们的建造或者村庄的防卫工作，也可以选择自己埋头苦干，做一个独行侠。作为一个不断发展的村庄中的普通一员。对于喜欢沙盒游戏的我来说，这算是更加“沙盒”也更有意思的游戏方式。
缺点的话，因为还没有深入玩，目前发现两个：一是游戏的美术水平欠佳，因为游戏是由一个人开发的，美术上可能不是很擅长，感觉行走的动画之类的都不是很连贯，攻击动画什么的都属于脑补水平。第二个就是目前的AI问题，AI大概缺乏统一性和远景，造东西都是东造一下西造一下，村庄的布局往往弄得令人哭笑不得，不过作者表示下一版本似乎会优化AI的问题。
总体而言，该游戏在目前的沙盒生存建造类别里算得上独树一帜，目前的完成度也还可以，可以造的东西很多，模式包括战役，生存，和遭遇战（可以和其他最多7个村庄一起在一张地图上发展战斗），游戏也有时代进化的概念，从石器时代一直到蒸汽时代，在蒸汽时代还可以造巨大的蒸汽傀儡，虽然还没有机会发展到那里，但看着骷髅和僵尸袭来，玩家和村民们一起四散逃窜的场景，也是很有意思（雾）。总之，目前来看非常有潜力，也值得推荐。
This game is interesting and good for a few hours diversion at this point. I like the idea behind it, kind of an RTS/Simulation hybrid where you are only in control of yourself--the other villagers do their own thing. Your main goal in each stage is to survive against an onslaught of monsters or wipe out the enemy village and its soulless, nameless automatons of evil before they do the same to you. I like the fact your main character's stats are persistent across all the stages, and even free mode, so you can constantly grind up your skills to make yourself the Lu Bu of your tribe.
It is impossible to really describe in terms of other games as I have never played anything quite like it, but it works pretty well and leaves me eager to see how it turns out if the developer keeps at it, which so far he has.
Make no mistake, there are a lot of *cons*--the AI needs work, the scenarios need fleshed out, and the English translation needs attention from an expert (i.e., a native speaker)--to name a few. Still, on the whole they are off to a good start.
$10 seems a little steep for what you get at this point considering you can get Skyrim on sale for $5, but it is obviously developed by a very small team experimenting with things that have never been tried before--and they have been updating it--so I don't feel bad paying it.
I recommend this if you like RTSs and simulations and don't have anything against quirky indie games, or are on the lookout for something completely different.
Game has a very fun concept but it almost plays itself, instead of having a guiding influence or even leading the village, you seem to play as just another random villager with no more impact that the AI. The villagers spread out and don't work together, and sometimes the best interaction with them is building some sort of structure frame and having them finish it. Game is really fun but you feel more like an observer to some town building screensaver than an actual player.
So I was pretty bored one afternoon browsing through the steam game list, looking for something decent and RPGish... and then I found this diamond, concealed among hordes of other games.
So the game had me create a character to play with, I created a cute catgirl hunter. Thinking, I am going to go to the woods and hunt wild animals and... do whatever I should do in this game to earn a living. And I ended up playing as a wheat farmer, with a windmill and a bakery, swimming in money and hiring mercenaries to take out adjacent villages, as close to a king as it gets.
That being said, the game is very interesting. It consists of playing a character among many other computer controlled equals. So it is to be expected that the beauty of this game is it's great AI, which really gives the world a life of its own.
What surprised me the most is that the AI characters are extremely clever. The game world is chaotic, with barren lands, having to work the land with magic to get raw resources, having to process those very resources to come with something useful all of this while having to defend against monsters and other villages and even making sure that they have sufficient resurrection spots to come back to life if they are killed. Most other game AIs would be a little dumb for such a challenge, but this game has the Albert Einsteins of game AI, they are surprisingly capable of coping and indeed thriving in their chaotic virtual world, and remarkably, build a thriving town given enough time.
And funnily enough, as so often happens with something that appears highly intelligent (thinking of dolphins here), a strange bond starts to develop with these simulated characters. I was distressed when an enemy villager in horseback was picking off some of my village's weakest and poorest members (without horses or armor).
The villagers are very helpful, defending when under attack, or even raiding the foreign village when they are well armed. Most of the time though, they go about their lives: farming, building their houses, building furnaces, generally speaking teching up their village and living within it, doing whatever they think is best for them and the village. I was building a tower to protect my windmill and left some stone lying about for that end, all of a sudden I had some 3 villagers helping me finish it, it was heart warmingly funny and awesome, then it was hillarious when an army of undead monsters died for good trying to invade my farm.
It kind of takes me back to my early MMO playing days, harvesting, smithing and going out for some PVP kills. Except these are all AIs, and it is very satisfying to live and act in a world populated by these remarkable AIs, basically it offers near infinite game content with intelligent opponents.
Goodness, I truly loved it, and it is not every day that I find a game worth reviewing. I love playing among AI characters, and the smarter they are, the better I find these AI sandbox games to be. It's like creating your own world where you can do whatever you like.
AMAZING RPG!! the skill and character creation/development system is one of the best you can hope for in any game, interlaced into every aspect of the game and attached to a character you take between all maps played, this game is full of innovation that makes it a breeze to play intuitively yet still challenging circumstances such as impending invasion of GIANT ARMIES. You should start small and build up a character before going into making big towns or tuning up the survival mode settings. aside from skill system this is also an epic action rpg in which you escalate from jungle fights 2v4 skeletons with sticks into 50v1000 elemental mages and giant stronghold fortress, the game scales in a really cool way, I think the small complexity is best early on for learning and training skills but epic wars are what you train to prepare for, you might die but keep the skills.
I was going to sleep yesterday then decided to try this game -_- Actually I think I'm about to play it again, the only problem of this game is the unrelated art style blonde girl graphics everywhere, it's jarring to see alongside such colorful graphics in the game everything looks similar to SNES but the mascotgirl or whatever I thought it was a main character I had to play but this game actually has a really good character creating system and the graphics look nothing like that (except in loading), so the loading screen looks bad is my only real complaint, (there are some bugs too but nothing too bad, I couldn't load all the missions but the other 2 modes are good and missions are considered 'tutorial') you have to play this game to understand how good it is, just close your eyes during load and you'll have a perfect time playing a masterwork game
Aurora Dusk, ein sehr schöner Strategie Aufbau RPG Simulations Mix mit einer guten Tutorial Kampagne.
Das Abenteuer welches auch das Tutorial ist bringt einem gut an die Funktionsweise des Spiels heran, lässt einem aber auch genug zeit zum selbst entdecken, einzigster Kritik Punkt ist das Inventar welches für jede mission Zurückgesetzt wird, aber könnte man sein inventar jederzeit mitnehmen wär es zu einfach daher ist es nur eine anmerkung das es mich etwas stört.
Hauptbestandteil des Spiels ist der Skirmish und Custom Survival mode,
Im Skirmish tritt man gegen ein oder mehrere feindliche Dörfer an oder auch gegen die Monsterhorde welche einen Dungeon mitbringen, der Dungeon ist der zentrale Spawnpunkt der Monster und muss zerstört werden.
Auch hier gibts nur ein Kritik punkt die KI der Dörfer ist nicht sonderlich intelligent und machts dem spieler einfach.
Im Custom Survival kann man sich wie der name schon sagt nach eigenen Einstellungen eine survival runde anfertigen, dabei kann man die Startwelle zeitlich wie mengenmäßig einstellen und anschließend zeit bis zur nächsten und wie viele feinde hinzukommen.
Fazit Sehr gutes spiel mit einem guten Angebot einem aktiven Entwickler der sich innerhalb von ner Stunde um Bugs kümmert, und vieles mehr...
Denkt daran es ist noch Early Access und vieles kann sich noch ändern.

A pure sandbox game allowing you to create your own avatar and use him again and again into whichever map you want with how many foes or allies you need.
Lots of items to craft, all with their own use. Same with the skills, some are situationnal and some are must have. And you're not limited because the avatar is persistent and can master everything in the long run, allowing you to tackle harder difficulties.
The creator keep on improving and tweaking the game and is responsive when a bug arise.
The game is completly playable with a campaign ( with 6 difficulties ), a survival mode ( you get a little time to prepare before the hordes appear in any number and waves you want ) and a skirmish mode ( with up to 7 IA controlled lairs or villages ).
As a con the game is repetitive and the difficulty in the campaign is just HUGE numbers of ennemies per waves ( even on the second difficulty you will get over 500 mobs on the lvl 18 or 19 map by the last wave ). And the only difficulty here would be to craft the right items to destroy the fastest mobs then take a HUGE amount of time to finish off the 400 or so useless zombies unable to kill you unless you fall asleep on the keyboard.
The IA of the villagers with you is ... lacking. They struggle to be anything else but some useless diversions littering the map most of the time. Then suddenly they awake and start to mass construct towers and golems and to spam the hordes with spells. Weird, would love them to be more consistent when fighting.
But despite that the game keep on improving and we can hope for some more control over them and maybe even some multiplayer in the future.

Very much a sandbox game, you can choose from various game modes and your Avatar can be used across all of them - keeping all your skills and levels. From Necromancy to Baking to Golem-building, you'll have no shortage skills to level up and advance!
Interesting concept, the world really builds itself (well townfolk do). unfortunatly a little too well.
found that i had very little impact on the overall building and defense of the towns.

Si Vendetta a marqué une belle communauté de joueurs à son époque, Aurora Dusk a largement de quoi faire encore mieux. Un concept original et peu commun à travers un mélange de genres à la fois bien géré et prometteur.
Si certains le trouveront un peu répétitif ou manquant de contenu, sachez qu'il y a déjà deux modes personnalisable offrant ainsi une bonne variété de jeu différent proposant des stratégies différentes. Mais ce n'est pas tout, un des points majeur du jeu réside dans sa personnalisation de ou des personnages que l'on créé. Les compétences à la fois nombreuses et variées nous offre un énorme panel pour faire de nos personnages exactement ce que l'on en veut. Pour rester sur les compétences, on pourra y trouver un intérêt tout autre à savoir qu'elles seront pas uniquement utile pour nos personnages. Les PNJs autres pourront bénéficier d'avantages majeurs à utiliser vos créations (bâtiments, ressources …) et ainsi commencer votre expansion plus rapidement que l'adversaire.
En ce qui concerne les différents modes de jeu, mon préféré reste l'escarmouche malgré qu'il manque un peu de challenge, je trouve le côté village(s) contre village(s) plus attractif. Cependant les autres modes sont aussi excellent, la campagne est bien construite en plus de montrer les mécanismes du jeu de manière assez fluide, et le mode survie propose un gameplay similaire à la campagne dans un monde personnalisable.
D'un point de vue ambiance graphique et sonore, pas grand chose à dire à part qu'elles sont vraiment bien, les décors comme les dessins sont très appréciable et la musique donne bien. Certains peuvent avoir du mal avec le changement de musique parfois un peu brut, mais quand on y est habitué on prête peu d'attention à ce détail. Si je devrait reprocher quelque chose à l'ambiance sonore se serait au niveau du volume, même diminué dans les paramètres ça reste assez fort (mais là c'est vraiment chipoter sur des détails).
De manière général je ne peux que conseiller ce jeu, niveau contenu on est vraiment bien servit pour un premier jet en accès anticipé, le jeu est assez addictif pour tous les amateurs de farming dans les jeux de rôle (mais pas uniquement), les parties peuvent être à la fois très rapide ou très longue en fonctions de ce que l'on compte faire. On est vraiment sur un jeu avec plusieurs facettes et de multiples possibilités pour ceux qui aime creuser. Des bugs certes présent (pour l'instant) mais mineurs, ils entachent rien au gameplay ni à la fluidité du jeu car aucun d'entre n'empêche de jouer.
Après si vous avez des doutes, rien n’empêche d'essayer la démo avant de vous décider mais ce jeu mérite vraiment d'avoir sa communauté.

Un jeu tres sympa. Si vous adorez les jeux de gestion simple mais avec beaucoup de batiment et de craft possible , n'hesitez. Tres bon jeu , avec un gameplay super bien pensé , perso je pense que ce jeu est une petite perle surtout a ce prix.

Tres bon jeu mélangeant stratégie et RPG. On retrouve des mécanismes à la elder scrolls et de sletters. il mérite de s'y interesser car il a un excelent potentiel à mon sens.
La prise en main se fait assez rapidement. Les mécanismes sont assez simple, il manque à mon sens quelques ressources suplémentaire. il est agréable que les 3 jauges (vie, mana et energie) se remplisse d'elle meme en utilisant automatiquement les ressources nécessaires. L'inventaire se gère toute seul et le craft est tres simple. On nous propose plusieurs races et classe qui permet customiser le héro de départ mais qui n'a pas telment d'importance. Il serait aussi agréable de voir sa population grandir ce qui peut etre délicat à gérer.
Les graphismes peuvent ne pas plaire, il y a une légère costumation de de son avatar. il faudrait mieux travailler les animation et déveloper plus de biodome. il serait interressant également de customisé sa maison. la bande son est pas mal.
Coté IA elle encore assez faible et il y a un probleme d'équilibrage entre les tours les golems... Coté PNJ, l'IA a du mal a géré les bonnes priorités dans le sens ou devenir cavalier est primordial pour les buff et les déplacements ou si elle se retrouve avec un livre pour se transformer en lich, le pnj va l'utiliser en boucle et vider sa mana. Un autre exemple, si il y a beaucoup de mort, l'IA ne va pas priorisé la construction de totem pour REZ tous ce monde. Parcontre, si on construit un batiment à coté de soit, certains pnj vont venir nous aider (pas tous) et c'est tres agréable.
Actuelement il y a 3 mode, histoire que je n'ai pas encore essayé, un excelent escarmouche et tres bon mode survie et il est très agréable de garder son héro pour chacun des modes. Il manque cruellement un mode multi joueur qui pourait tres bien s'accorder.
On retrouve encore quelques bug exemple si on meur dans l'eau et que l'on réssucite, nous nous retrouvons toujours dans l'animation de son personnage dans l'eau mais en étant sur terre avec la musique de mort qui ne s'efface pas pour la musique habituelle.
Malgrès tous ses defaut, si ils sont corrigés, il pourait devenir un excellent jeu original tout en ayant d'excelentes références.C'est le meilleur pari que je conseille.
买之前我是先玩了一下试玩版的，感觉真的很不错！
但是在试玩的时候玩着玩着就会闪退，之前我以为是试玩的原因，但是我买了之后闪退的问题并没有得到解决
这真的很让人感到悲伤，等你玩上半个小时，眼前一片光明的时候，突然就闪退了，我只想到两个字：蛋疼
关键这游戏自定义战争还没有存档的机制，这就很尴尬了
如果能把闪退的问题解决了，我个人认为还是一款很好的原游戏

(cf jdg). Non sans déconner, avez votre communauté, vous devez vous développer, pas vous faire tuer.. Ah et FAIRE LA GUERRE![/i]

Pour finir, je dirais que le jeu vaut vraiment le coup d'être joué, c'est une sorte de gros poisson en devenir!
Et puis quand on compte le nombre de + par rapport au -, on a quand même le double de + :O (je sais compter ouais)
Ce jeu est une perle à tester
