After finishing what this game has to offer, I'll say this; I did not expect all of this. I came in with the thought of "it's might just be a dragon dating sim." And while it does have some of that, it has so much more as well. I would say more but, I wouldn't want to ruin the surprise. Absolutely worth it.
Also I can't wait to see part 2.

Une excellente écriture, de magnifiques dessins, une superbe OST... Que dire de plus, foncez si vous aimez les visual-novels et les dragons ! L'écriture m'a honnêtement bluffé mais c'est peut-être parce que je n'ai pas non plus joué à beaucoup de VN dans ma vie de joueuse.
Le seul "point noir" du jeu serait la traduction française qui a quelques fautes ici et là mais vu la ridicule proportion de fautes par rapport à la taille colossale du texte, je fais largement abstraction de celle-ci, d'autant qu'elle a été faite par des fans si je ne me trompe pas ? (c'était dans le workshop avant d'être officiellement implémenté dans le jeu). Je dirais qu'elle est finalement proche de la perfection, les fautes restent franchement rares. Je suis juste quelqu'un qui repère chaque faute... x)

best game ever. i got this when it first came out on my old account. i really hope adine, anna, and lorem are in the second game. i like to think of the second game as a late brithday gift since i was born on the 29th. i literally cant wait. i hope the second game gets more popularity.

The romance/dating sim elements, while secondary to the story, are still a core part of the game. Self-projection is also crucial for the romances to not fall flat. Proceed only if that does not deter you.
Great game with well done characters and a heavy emotional punch. It has an overarching mystery that also has many smaller, more personal revelations, and implied dragon sex along the way. The game is not afraid to make you care about the characters and then take them away from you. Your choices will matter, and they will affect those around the player. Permanently. But, as the player character reassures a particular dragon, "there will always be another year," and just as much despair as it may bring, the game also gives hope, because there is always the chance to try again, to make it right...eventually. Most of the time.
Info: I have, as of this review, played through the true ending, and will likely be looking at the mods soon.

In my honest opinion, this game is awesome. It has everything.
There are some bugs, as the game engine is a little outdated. If you get crashes, make sure your steam and discord overlays are completely disabled for this game to run. And save frequently. It is worth it though.
I originally expected just a time wasting scaly dating sim. I figured it would be a good time waster. Little did I know it would pull some Daniel Mullins type stuff.
I cannot wait to see where the devs go next.

I have completed this game to 100% (including the secret ending) on my Xbox Series X and have a total of 40 hours of base gameplay under my belt, with that I can confidently say that I LOVE ADINE!!!
Very good game, but not as sad as I was expecting from other commenters. Don't get me wrong, it does hit you in the feels, but the overall nature of the game causes the sand parts to feel.... impermanent, taking away from the sadness. Interesting story, and I loved how the true ending played out. Also the art style could be better and more cohesive at times. Overall, I do want to play the sequel, but I was not bawling at really any point of the game, which was the main impression I was getting from it.

TL;DR: Reza deserved better.
So the first time saw this game, I loved it; I thought it was the best game and that it was so deep and philosophical, and that the characters were amazing and the world was amazing; I used to listen to the soundtrack everyday. I could unironically say this game changed my life.
Okay it was more, it changed the way I thought about myself but you got the picture. A teenager, watching someone else play and suddenly, a thought that they never thought of.
Fast forward a few years and I've not read AWSW for ages; I wanted to buy it but didn't want to ask my parents. I had learned a lot about writing; I would binge watch movie reviews all the time.
Imagine my surprise when I find out it's not what everyone says it is. It's not deep, it's not interesting, and it's not good; and people say this is great.

So this game has, "one dimensional" characters, boring dialogue, really lazy worldbuilding, a self insert MC, very direct meaning/themes, and what I call, "fake naturalism."

Do I think these characters are one dimensional?
First we'd need to know what that means exactly. So three dimensional means dynamic and complex; one-dimensional means one-side and not complex. With 3D shapes, you can look all around it. With 1D shapes, it's just a line. So 1D characters are characters that are not deep, complex, or 3D. 1D Chars only have one trait. (I mean to say the dialogue is 1D; characters are fine.)
Now I'd forgive you if you think the characters are deep; I'm here to give my review.
Fake naturalism is when dialogue sounds realistic but lacks subtext. Realistic art is meant to exaggerate reality, otherwise it'll be like the boring version of reality; this can apply to dialogue too. You want good thought-provoking dialogue; that way you're actively thinking about it, and if you're not even thinking about what you're reading, you're probably no engaged.
Note: This is very hard to spot sometimes. I'd say something like invincible has fake naturalism.
It doesn't matter if it makes sense; you have to be interested in what's happening. Stories are meant to be interesting so when it's not, you fail as a writer.
The way this applies to the characters is that their characterization is bad, basically that means it's boring. It's with the dialogue and the "dates" you go on with them. The one to one conversations are boring, and I understand it's like two people standing talking to each other, but the dialogue.
It's not thought-provoking and that makes it boring, and if you give full attention to the game, it punishes you, so you end up no listening properly. The messaging is really bad, it rarely does a message, but when it does, the characters become kid show characters while they're trying to talk about how someone was graped to death by three dudes with rabies. Of course there's always subtext, but it seems the author neglects it.
I'm writing a VN and I put notes next to lines because sometimes I don't full understand why they would say that. It's like if those notes were included in the line so you know exactly what they meant.
And people are either regarded or something but just because they talk about suicide, doesn't mean it's deep. The idea sounds deep, but when I show it and it's really surface-level, it's not deep anymore.

Next is the world: the world on a surface level can spark a lot of curiosity. It does have some interesting lines about it, like where Bryce tells you about the underground lab. But everything outside of the sci-fi bits is underwhelming.
The world is a cliché sci-fi, "What if humans weren't evil?" type shi; I don't believe for a minute that a secular society with a bunch of wild animals would be this advanced. Muslim countries can't even give woman rights, and you're telling me they made a way to make power with NO CO2??? "Hey, David. I'm going to write a fantasy where there's no evil humans using power plants, and my poorly disguised zoophila is rewarded. Does that sound great???"
Also the religious aspect is very underutilized; it does have to be theologically sound but they just call him, "creator". And the human myths could be interesting, but I felt like the execution was telling me, "look, dragons have myths about homans as well. Isn't that crazy?" There are a lot of nice details and I like that character interact with you differently if they like you or not.
And due to the nature of this game, everything is explained, which also means, there are no theories about this game. You can come up with some interesting lore; I thought with the long lines that you'd know a lot about the world.
The Mc is self-insert. Since they got the visual novel trope of internal monologues, he becomes likeable but in the most non complex way. The author probably thought he was being really funny when he wrote those jokes; the physical humour's good but when he unironically say, "do you come here often" a tear dripped down my leg.

Now the characters:
Bryce: GAY AND AN ZOOPHILE!
Adine: She does have some depth, if she's pretty surface-level. Her getting mad at you was probably the best of her character. I know what archetype they're going, and the way you should do it is by not making "being nice" their only trait; you should make it hard to describe someone with a single word, or maybe use "they're quiet but they're also loud" characterisation.
Anna: I told her I didn't want to sell my body and she left. probably the best written character but I can't say I've remembered everything.
Lorem: GAY and WOKE!.
Remy: Really unlikeable, talks like an AI, and kicks you out for rubbing you belly, when he's got his ass out 24/7. (This is confirmed in-game)
Reza: Easily the best character. The whole plot is based off a misunderstanding. I don't blame him for doing what he did; I'd do the same. All you have to do is think from his POV.
Izumi: Reta7ded girl boss who basically hates Reza because he was mean in a dream she had.
For reference: my favourite movie is Blade runner 2049, and I'd give it a 9/10; lots of re-watch value

The music is very good, a part from some tracks.
The art is a lot worst than I thought. VN all use the same BGs and filters, and it looks really blury. The design is nice but I wish they had clothes; it feels like anna is naked all the time. Why did they make her so curvy? I still don't know what Remy's wearing. The art style's inconsistent. The lack of texture of the characters can begin show.
And for some reason there are some random characters who appear, and serve no purpose, they're like puppets to show that people live in this world. Give them a side story or something.
Also it's political at times, but again, the dialogue's too simple for political interest. The author made the old timers hate Anna, because she's is a liberal genius! Man, I hate when someone tries to find the cure for cancer; my dad did so we should too. Or maybe she was lying, that too.
The monologue with the MC going on and on about how sad his situation is, just for the girl to say no. What was the point?
Important to note that this is a review, not a critique. The overwhelming reviews are because you're judging as a visual novel, not a movie.

Je ne suis habituellement pas un joueur de visual novel. J'ai déjà expérimenté avec succès ce genre de jeu à travers Grotto (que je recommande fortement), et Angels with Scaly Wings (AWSW) est une deuxième expérience pour moi. J'ai fortement apprécié le jeu, il est très qualitatif et propose une durée de vie largement acceptable. J'ai particulièrement apprécié la grande variété de personnages détaillés. Ils sont tous très vivants et l'on s'attache vite à eux. De plus, on y trouve une belle variété de draconidé et le lore du jeu est bien approfondi ce qui renforce l'immersion. C'est un très bon travail que je suis même surpris de voir traduit (qualitativement qui plus est, malgré quelques rares petites erreurs) en français. Je ne regrette absolument pas y avoir joué et attend avec impatience le deuxième volet. Je le recommande même aux personnes non habituées des visual novel et tout simplement fan de dragons.

Подарили мне на ДВ игру Angels with Scaly Wings™ - игра с одной стороны симпатична и нравится. С другой мне не очень по душе, что в мир Чешуйчатых вторгаются хуманы. И как только те приходят, пришли туда. Почти всё сразу начинает идти по звезде. Вместо мира - какая дичь, которая начинает поражать игрока (меня точно) почти с самого старта. Вместо знакомства с данным миром, отвлекаемся на всю эту ненужную романтику, отношения и прочее. Да и отношение само к "пришедшему посланнику с Земли" явно переоценено. - Чем глубже погружаешься в сюжет Angels with Scaly Wings™, тем дичее всё становится. Вроде стараешься придерживаться этой линии "только по делу". Но всё равно "попадаешься" в ловушку внимания со стороны NPC и событий.
Игра затягивает в себя с головою и рожками. Хочется посмотреть на окружение, окружающих, понаблюдать за ними. Но и в тоже время. Не позволить хуману вытворять всякую дичь. От своего лица это сделать порой становится трудным. Прохождение вроде как не линейное. Можно разными способами добраться (или нет?) до заветной цели. И не удивляйтесь, если захочется сделать это на одном дыхании. От игры оторваться сложно.
В игре Angels with Scaly Wings™ есть интересные моменты, симпатичные персонажи, даже желание "познакомиться" с теми и Больше. Но надо помнить, что это игра! - И всё что выходит за рамки сюжета, разводит симпатию и романтику. Обычно излишнее. В игре присутствует это извечное и избитое сравнение цивилизации и существ "с хуманской цивилизацией и с самими хуманами". Вообще кажется слишком много хуманского. И даже больше...
Не смотря ни на что. Это интересная новелла. Всё же в некотором роде "читается" по мере прохождения как книга. А мой опыт "чтения" увы зиждется на английском языке. Знания которого у меня не на самом высоком (среднем) уровне. Однако это хватило, чтобы не потеряться по мере прохождения. Хотя на русском было бы куда как удобнее и понятнее. Русификатор есть. Но ставить его не очень удобно, а кроме того есть риск ещё больше растерять изначальный смысл истории. Так что... Как есть. Так и проходилось.
Порекомендовать игру можно всем более-менее повзрослевшим. Даже, если вы не особый любитель Чешуйчатых. Как минимум будет интересно узнать "чем же всё закончится". Желательно быть знакомым с английским языком. Так как неизвестно насколько русификатор может исказить первоначальный смысл.

Я прошёл, концовку Негативную получил (моё мнение - Хоть Та и "Нейтральная"), забыл.
Я бы даже сказал - крайне разочаровывающую концовку.
Мне кажется, что мои старания "спасения" прошли все зря.

Without a doubt this is the best visual novel game i have ever seen. Awesome characters, backgrounds, music, scenario, ingame mechanics (menu change after different endings and encounters with minor characters + unlocks arts in gallery after every good ending) and official comics (i know that this isnt actually part of a game but still).
Also almost all endings in this game are pretty sad (for me exactly) but there are a lot of other things that are fun, interesting or enjoyable. And of course ability to donwload some mods from steam workshop for game after all endings.

This is the most soul-touching work of art I've ever seen in my life. I admit it fully: I cried plenty of times here. As well as had jaw-drops from realizing some parts of the plot, from some moments and such. It's truly a beautiful game I love with all my heart.
game's a lot more than you'd expect from just seeing the art and the title. many mysteries and crazy story things await (there are also cute dragons. as you would expect.)

This game is very fascinating and intriguing (and a little flawed)
Saw this game on the recommendations tab and thought a visual novel about talking dragons in a science fiction story with a little bit of dark endings and some pleasant and intimate ones would be pretty interesting to spend some money on. After playing this game, I can safely say that it is a very hard hitter and a little bit emotional. However I do have issues with it that I'd like to explain. Don't worry, I won't reveal any spoilers.
The characters in this game are all very different and each has their own personality and interests that really moves them and compels you to understand and assist them through. Their design is also intriguing and shows you enough of what each character is like. Now some do have moments that feel a little bit eccentric but I do think it's what make them unique. I did feel as if there were some characters that should've gotten more spotlight and insight, like Damion for example. We see him as this rude, selfish, tempered dragon who is basically seen as a throw away character. He dosen't have moments of shine or redemption, he only exists so he could take the shot for Anna. Moments like Sebastian, Vara and the store clerk were short but still a joy to experience. But I do feel we could've gotten more scenes with. So far, for the main dragons you spend time with, they do excel a lot and makes you intrigued in them. I think my favorite is Remy. He is a more serene character with a lot going for him in his backstory. He is a more of an emotional character in game that shows that he is in constant pain and restless with what's going on for him and his past lover. And in the end of the game, it really shines for him and shows just how much more his character radiates a lot more than the others. Other characters like Adine came in pretty close but didn't really have any hard hitting characterizations, however, were still a joy to read and symphonize with. But she dose make it up with how cute she can be and her interests in humans were compelling to see. Anna did have something going for her but she came across more "♥♥♥♥♥♥" than the rest. Not saying she's a terrible character but I guess she wasn't as great as the rest in terms of personality wise. Her backstory is a lot better than Adine's, I'll admit, but I guess I'm more bias when it comes to how the character is shown to be than storywise. Lorem is my third favorite of the group. Like, Adine, he has a fascination with humans and with that fascination, he is interested in making a video game about them. His backstory isn't as compelling as Remy's and Anna's though but it's still good enough to show how this character has gotten carved and became who he is now. Bryce is probably my least favorite. He has a good personality and you do feel that he is a strong and determined character. However his backstory didn't really resonate well than the others, personally. I am pleasantly surprised that they didn't go for the Clichéd cold, rough lonesome chief that probably every detective story has so I guess I can't complain too much. The human characters such as Reza and The Administrator were pretty boring. Reza only serves as the games antagonist and he is mostly one sided. He only cares for managing the success for humans on the other side in their world so much that he's willing to cast aside the dragons agreement and trust. Like Damion, there wasn't much of a redemption to his character and at the end, he's just the same as he started out (I guess a little bit more psychotic than before). The Administrator was somewhat the same. She is mostly there to be an info dump and she only serves to fulfill the games mission in bringing you back constantly to redo each path so you could get the good end. He backstory did help a little in understanding her but other than that, she had no personality to speak of.
The visuals and art were a bit of a mixed bag. There were some that looked breathtaking, some that felt a little rushed and the rest that were just a copy and paste image with a little filter to better blend the characters with. Some backgrounds felt too typical and generic than I would like. There were these long pan shots of each characters that looked fine but others felt off. For example: In the game, there is a CG of Remy going in to kiss the player, but the position looked off. It looked more like he was curling his lips to talk than kissing. Wished there was more work on it to not look as awkward. The rest were either beautiful or just okay. Now the game does have these long pan shots of minor characters too which were a little confusing. with those scenes, it seemed as if those characters were gonna play a much bigger role than what the game had intended. I don't know why they included those. The character templates were pleasant and all had good emotions shown, but some did felt recycled in game. There were moments in game where a certain character emotion didn't fit well and seemed as if they were just reusing one that seemed to better fit in whatever context.
The music in the game is neat. Some did felt like one of those non copyrighted songs like a Kevin MacLeod songs, but it did suit the ambiance well enough. I think the best one (And I think most can agree) that the best song is Adines. It feels light and smooth but then builds up and becomes more powerful and energetic. It fits well with her character. The rest of the characters theme were nice. However some felt as if their themes didn't match quite as well than others and would've switched them around to better suit them more.
All of the categories I've told you about all had some bit of flaw to them but I was willing to pass it to the side and focus on the more positives it had. However, I think the biggest flaw this game has is its story. I think it felt too convoluted and tried to explain a little too much than it needed to. The game mainly focuses on time travel and how you need to go back in time to re-correct it to get a better outcome. And with this combining with the plot with dragons and portals and the backstory of how they came to be felt too intricate and hard to pick up. I know a lot of people really like the games story and I do think a visual novel where it ties into time travel to go back and load each time to see what different outcome is an interesting idea but I don't think it worked well with this game. Personally, I just don't like time traveling stories. I think they try to be extremely complex and asks a little too much for you to follow. Some people will argue that since it's a sci-fi story, they can get away with it and do anything they want. However I felt as if it was a little too "extra," that they thought it would be cool to add time traveling to the story. I know that by saying this, it would be to re-write the whole entire story, but in truth, if they were gonna use that concept, it would've been better to not explain it at all. Instead leave it as vague. Have it dwell on the idea that time traveling might be at play here and just be introduced as a theory by the characters to interpret. Have moments where it points to time traveling but it's blurred. Don't explain too much or think you need to answer every question but leave it as subtle and engaging. I think the characters stories were far more engaging than the actual story, but, of course, the story was kinda the main focus so whatever. I think it should've focused more as a Wings Of Fire murder mystery, detective story.
Conclusion:
This game is beautiful and fun to experience it. The flaws were there but weren't much of a hinder. The characters were a joy to interact with and the multiple choices were fun. However, I don't think it's a masterpiece as a lot of fans would say. It has problems but I think the positives out weights the negatives here. My rating: 7.9/10
First off I want to say that I did really *want* to like this game, but unfortunately the plot twist is really stupid ([spoiler]They aren't dragons, they're GMO dinosaurs (made by a time traveller), and it wasn't a portal to another world, it was a time machine. Super disappointing as someone who wanted, and was told I was getting, *dragons*[/spoiler]), and the 'villain' is 100% in the right (for the record, he wouldn't be if not for the plot twist) - the player character, as a biologist, should know better. Especially since not a single character is even remotely likeable enough to [spoiler]destroy the Earth's history by preventing the dinosaur extinction, thus ensuring no further life evolves and humans never exist in the first place - essentially genociding all of humanity, and all the millions of species that could only evolve because of the dinosaur extinction, for one small town - since not even all dinosaurs in the world got GMO'ed into being sentient[/spoiler].
For some reason I'm not allowed to just be friendly to several of the NPCs without the game considering it flirting (I'm a diplomat, I just want to be polite, not engage in dubious-bestiality (calling it this makes more sense with the plot twist since [spoiler]they are *literally* modified animals, not another species of sentient creatures/aliens we discovered[/spoiler])) and its annoying (once again, without the plot twist this element would not be an issue, just a minor annoyance to me personally, not a furry hater so sentient-interspecies-romance doesn't intrinsically bother me). As well as this, several of the NPCs are [b]very distractingly[/b] drawn in a completely different style, it's super jarring and looks awful, imo (and does unfortunately make it very hard to get invested in the characters that stand out so much, since they just feel so separate to everyone else and like they don't belong).
The best moment I found after the plot twist was basically just a moment from Undertale if you reset the game to undo killing the first 'boss' encounter, so it wasn't even anything original. Except it was in reverse because these characters and setting, ever since the plot twist, are unlikable. I will add there were definitely character storylines, and arcs, I enjoyed (greatly enjoyed in at least one case), but the twist sours everything so much, and makes everything feel so pointless that I just cannot bring myself to actually like any of them. (The secondary twist right after the first, [spoiler]that you are in a 5-day time loop[/spoiler], also, in my opinion, removes a lot of interest in character storylines, since [spoiler]everything every character goes through is undone in a few days time, so it's hard to get invested in individual arcs[/spoiler]).
There's clearly been some cool thought put into how creatures with different anatomy would wear some clothing (furgonomics I believe it is called), with the extra straps on the goggles and the horn holes in the hats, but even with the plot twist too much of the clothing/set design/etc is clearly designed for and by humans and it just really takes me out of it as a complete world.
Very charming. I love all the connections you get to grow with these loving beasts.

Far more than the simplistic selling point of a "dragon dating sim", this visual novel presents a complex and compelling story in which you are possibly the only hope of survival for two civilizations, and are caught in the midst of a hidden intrigue that through seeking to save one over the other may doom both. The odds are stacked so far against you that even a pyrrhic victory might seem impossible... but the true secret of the portal you came through will give you as many chances as you need to find the narrow paths to success.
This is a game about a human from a post-apocalyptic earth forming relationships with dragons in something approaching a modern earth society who all face serious problems, and who are all at risk in one way or another. It's also a game about time travel, and abusing it to navigate a situation over and over to discover all its possibilities. It involves serious, possibly triggering subject matter, including [spoiler]bullying, suicide, alcoholism, terminal illness, discrimination, child abandonment, and illegal genetic experiments on an unborn fetus[/spoiler]. It also contains a lot of elements that might seem at first glance to be blind adherence to poorly-thought-out tropes, that nevertheless turn out to actually have very clever reasons for being there and act as subtle hints to the larger story.
In addition to the official game content, there are also a substantial number of fan-provided mods that extend the content, providing interesting epilogues, alternate paths, more fleshing out of side characters, and even the addition of an entirely new major character to form a relationship with. This game is an inimitable masterpiece. The story is poignant, profound, almost farcical at times, tragic at others—but it always feels, for what is ostensibly a dragon dating simulator, real. It’s not melodramatic, it’s not a blunt fantasy, it’s an expansive and indelibly sincere narrative with nonpareil characters and engaging interactions (other than Kevin, of course).
Then again, I suppose most people are just here for ‘dragon dating sim’ 😔

I thought that this would be just another dating sim with pretty popular characters, but i didn't realize why they were so popular...
This game is a masterpiece, it made you FEEL the impact of every choice made, who you went with, who you chose to save, who you chose to leave behind.
This game ripped out my heart not just during the bad endings, but during the good ones too.
This is a timeless masterpiece, a long story told in small conversations, a world built, doomed to be torn all back down again.
This game made me fall in love with all the characters, made me WANT to save them all, they felt like a sort of family, and while my time with them was amazing, it was all to short lived.
Truly a wonderful game, now i haven't gotten all the achievements yet, I will soon.

I was going in expecting another trope-y dating sim, but the complexity caught me way off guard, like a slap to the face at some moments. One of the handfuls of VNs that had me doing mental gymnastics by juggling my emotions, easily a top 5.

The writers knew what they were doing. While the plot sounds and is utterly ridiculous when you look at it, they pull it off wonderfully. The dialogue is well written with very few exceptions and the plot is moving enough to bring me to tears on multiple occasions. As long as you like reading and dragons, then you'll like this.
And the plot... The authors were playing some serious 4D chess. Can't wait for the next installment.

I think that a dragon lover would enjoy this game. The story is good and the dragons are unique and have their 2 designated endings each dragon along with the true ending which personally made me cry. Aside from the story you also get to date the dragons but don't expect to jump to the bed with the dragon (unless you want to mess with the Steam Workshop). Despite the unorthodox name which some of my friends thought that the game was something else let's say don't let the game's name fool you this game is awesome

It's a visual novel that has dragons and doubles with as a dating sim while having such an amazing story and lovely characters. It's just amazing in every way I can't recommend this enough!
I've seen only one of the endings. So, probably this will be some sort of the first expression. Anyway, this game made my obsession with visual novels even stronger. I love it. Especially sweetheart Lorem and Anna made a lasting esxpression. I' m glad to see that there is more than one possible ending and I can deepen into the story at least several more times.
I absolutely adored this game. My playtime clock got messed up because I played this almost exclusively on my steam deck, but I spent about 20 hours going through everything and 100%'ing it.
The characters are all lovely and fun and I loved getting to know them on their dates. By the end I felt really emotionally invested in most everyone.
The one big negative I have is how the sense of humor can get really nasty sometimes. It really comes out of nowhere but there's a handful of jokes that are ableist, fatphobic, and homophobic. It was jarring everytime one of these came up, and I almost put the game down because of it.
But on the whole I still enjoyed the story and the characters, and I'm currently reading the prequel comic because I want more of this world.

First impressions; This might seem like a kind of weird game, but it CAPTURES you. The world-building is immaculate. The characters, while it is a slow burn to get to know them, are all great in their own right. I would die for Lorem.
Definitely give this game a chance if you can, even if you're not an avid dragon enjoyer and just like visual novels. Especially since this game goes on sale for extremely cheap!

Not really liking how the characters are written (not much personality, or just boring), for the two okay characters, one is missing (presumably for a lot of the story), and the other isn't one you can interact with in the 'free time' segments. The overall plot is okay, but focuses on a murder mystery (instead of a story that's only possible with dragons). Seems like I'll be stuck with characters I dislike for the majority of the time, so I'm gonna drop it.
Quizá la historia no sea el punto mas fuerte hasta casi el final donde empiezas a entender todo un poco. Sólo me lo he pasado una vez y se ve que tiene distintos finales (voy a probar nuevas decisiones a ver si varia la trama y las consecuencias se ven reflejadas). Dicho esto, el juego esta pensado para ser rejugado.
El apartado artístico y especialmente la música creo que es su punto mas fuerte. Especialmente porque en la creación del juego han sido por pocas personas (o así se ve en los créditos).
En la versión española salta algún error pero puedes seguir avanzando en la partida así que no te estropea el juego

И вроде бы прикольно, но на втором часу я начал подозревать что-то не то... не уж то... dating sim?(да, я безнадежен и не верил).
Сначала плакал от осознания во что я только что ввязался, а потом потому что [spoiler] драконожена умерла от рака :( [/spoiler] .
А если более серьезно, то имея очень заниженные ожидания от проекта([i]серьезно, в вакууме это звучит, нелепо: zero escape, но с драконами делают бррр[/i])
Сюжет хорошо совмещает триллер и dating. Сцены... норм([strike]умер от стыда когда надо было мыть спину лучшему персонажу[/strike]). Геймплей тут и не нужен. Текст написан удобоваримо и легкий в понимании.
Проект проходится за пару часов и пытается не особо усложнять то, что хорошо работает.

I'm not gonna spoil anything, but I will say this: Despite the fact that it's a visual novel, it's MORE than just a dating simulator. You will be blown away by the story. I actually got the console version first and rebought it on Steam for the mods.

After having 100% the game and looked at many good and bad reviews of it. I thought it would be a good idea to organize, write and share my feelings on this game.
I'll start by saying that, [b] yes, I loved this game, when I firgured everything about the whole story, I cried not even when I thought I would.
I recommend to play this game [/b] if you are [b] into sexy dragons [/b] and you don't bother [b] reading a lot and understand sci-fi plots. [/b]
I can't figure how to separate different aspect of the game between good or bad, I feel like they all have more or less good or bad in them.
So I'll take a closer look to each of them.
[h3] → Characters: [/h3]
Despite seeing some reviews talking about them not being well written, I personally disagree with that. I found some not as well written as others, but overall, wheter it be about their lore and interactions with others [spoiler] Espacially the connection with the trio Remy, Adine and Anna)[/spoiler], or their overall story and actions, I really [b] LOVED [/b] the characters and getting to know them.
Sadly, it's not the case with every character, I learned that Lorem was added after them 4 mains characters (I don't want to say anything stupid but I think it was because of a sponsor during the Indiegogo campaing), and it sadly feels like he was just put here, without real interesting interactions with other dragons [spoiler] (or except the theories about the egg I think, I'm not sure) [/spoiler]. Same thing for his route, I think it's too much talking that is not really interesting (except the 2 last ones, where there was some events and twists, but no real romance like the others).
[b] About their dates [/b], I do think they are good and works well, I saw some reviews saying it was more like hang out with friends, and I can understand why (especially after playing the Freefall mod <3). Maybe you can find that their is too much talking? But that's exactly what I want for a date with those characters, getting to know their passion, their hobbies and stuff. I just find it cute when they obviously talk so much about what they love. Thanksfully some dates also gives lots of infos about the lore, and the cute / romantic moments for me are enough to feel the romance and let our imagination take the lead. Some even have special dialogues if you learned about something with someone else before, which is good for learning more about their interactions [spoiler] (again with Remy, Anna and Adine) [/spoiler].
I steel feel there should be more of them, especially if [spoiler] One of the characters dies, it feels too much like nothing happened, it's normal for a VN to not be able to respect ALL the interactions the characters should have, but at least some unique sad dialogues could bring up some emotions and logic
Most importantly, the true ending is good for me, and even made me sad for Izumi, but there should at least be some scene after with our dated dragon, I guess it kills the logic of the future sequel, but it would be wayyy more satisfying for the player, to finally know they saved everyone AND have the future wanted with their favorite dragon (I take again the mod Freefall as an exemple, yes it can't work in the true ending timeline, but at least something of this sort before our character and dragon goes to the human world. [/spoiler].
[h3] → Mechanics & Choices: [/h3]
I am pretty mixed about them, there is different uses of choices, some are used to see what kind of answer we'll have, especially in dating, and mostly will determine if the character will like you or not, but there is more! Some characters will feel abandonned if you end up not answering after dating once with them, some choices you make in those date can change other interactions you'll have in the main story, even change it a bit [spoiler] (only for Remy I think) [/spoiler]. Some will give you another chance if you end up meeting them again, all of that feels REALLY GOOD for a VN.
Of course there will be main story choices, that often have big consequences and again that's vital for a VN.
[b] HOWEVER... [/b] I'll talk more about that problem in the Writting/Story part, but to be fair, most of the CONSEQUENCES doesn't feel really impactfull when you end up exploring some different endings... I couldn't really feel that except some dialogues that feel too week, I will give some exemples: [spoiler] The choice which decides if Bryce will die or not, it's an impactfull choice, but the consequence that Bryce died, except if you were dating him, doesn't feel impactful, Sebastian just gives some unique dialogues but that all. Since there is 2 endings for each character, the main impacts then are pretty much all about if you successfully date a character or not, other character dying does affect this those endings. Maybe Bryce for example should have a big role at the end which would decide if Reza escapes or not, but that would be a whole bunch of mess with all the endings and stuff, so the idea would be to change the ending system, idk if I'm really clear here TvT) [/spoiler].
About the [b] Investigations [/b]. The first one gives a pretty good look of a nice VN gameplay section, then all the other investigation are all about if you go to the right place, but doesn't gives any real clues or gameplay elements to have fun with. It would be awesome to have a real big investigation and in the end some real clues could help us take the right choices to have a better ending and find out what happened, this kind of stuff where the player actually have to think and assemble puzzle pieces.
So yeah, except for archivement, doing good on the "investiations" does feel rewarding and that's a shame :( since unlocking some clues like the hatch passeword is a good start.
I'll finish this part by saying that the triggers for the good endings being obects or informations you can have by doing multiples routes and search a bit is at first a good idea. It uses well the main mechanics of the lore [spoiler] (Time Travel and memories) [/spoiler]. My only problem with them is that we often just find them by accident without even searching them, and okay most of them make sense about changing the ending, but I still feel like they don't carry enough impact for the ending scene (I'm talking about the SCENE essentially) → [spoiler] for example, throwing the ixomen sphere makes sense by changing the ending, but come on xd we just throw a ball and it changes the action of our character. Adine's map works I guess, but I would prefer that giving the map would give a unique sequence where we visit the underground lab with Adine, and we learn something usefull to use in the end which will get us to the good ending. I feel like it's sort of the same problem than the investigation [/spoiler]
[h3] → Main character: [/h3]
About our main character, the game gives the idea at first that it will be a MC in who we can identify ourselves, which is the good thing to do for a dating game. However our MC reveals having a really big background, which is really good for the lore, but doesn't fit with my first point. The main problem tho is some moments where our MC just acts by himself [spoiler](Yeah I'm talking to you Bryce's "good ending") [/spoiler] which is reaaaally unsatisfying some times, the game should stay consistent in letting the player choose.
[h3] → Writing & Story: [/h3]
Just a little thing on the prose, I'm not a native english so I can't really tell how it feels, except some examples of really weirdly constructed sentences I saw. I kind of goes only for the litteral meaning and not drive any real emotions in the writing. However I have been able to understand everything despite not being the best in english, which is a the most important I think.

Initially, I had high expectations of this game. Because, c'mon:
1) Dating dragons
2) Crime Scene Investigation *puts on shades*
3) Time travel and multiverse *enters a certain blue box*
A perfect combo, so, what could could you possibly dislike?
All the mentioned bullet points were followed to some degree, but sort-of-abandoned halfway through. Dating - more like friends meeting - affects the ending - kinda - but isn't nearly as good as you might expect from a visual novel. Investigations are few, and aren't that interesting as, for example, Soul Suspect had. And Time Travel, well...coudre avec du fil blanc, to avoid spoilers.
Supposedly, you can go through the game several times and the plot will change. True, to a certain extent. But, it's not that interesting to go through multiple runs, compared to Slay the Princess, which actually remembered your previous runs and added extra content because of it.
Sidenote: macOs Sonoma, Version 14.6.1 (23G93) can launch the game - despite the description - but Steam overlay will be disabled(Force knows why)...
