AMOK tenta ser um shooter retrô, mas falha em quase tudo. Gráficos datados, jogabilidade travada e uma repetição que cansa antes da primeira hora. A trilha sonora até tenta salvar, mas não há música que compense o tédio de destruir os mesmos inimigos em cenários genéricos.
Se você estiver pensando em gastar dinheiro nisso, pense de novo. Nem por 1,99 vale a pena.

Super langweilig, in jedem Kapitel suchst du einfach nur den Ausgang, um zum nächsten Ort geportet zu werden, um dann dort wieder den nächsten Ausgang zu suchen...Man findet unterwegs einfach garnichts,man durchläuft nur die immer gleichen leeren Räume.

At the time of purchase, I paid 99 cents. I had fun streaming and playing this game. It's a little clunky but for under a dollar its a good time killer and experience. Got a couple of scares and laughs. :)

Literally the best game I've ever played, this game saved my life.
The game has big ideas, and it has heart. What, on the surface, seems like a mix between Silent Hill and Doom 3, is actually one of the most inspired horror games of the generation. This game tackles the topic of modern race relations, superfluously. Being given a shotgun and put face to face with a scary black dude, really puts you in the position of our modern police officarials. The fact that this event takes place aboard a ship is a clear allegorical for the Atlantic Slave Trade. The game is clearly, ahead of its time. The portion where you crawl through a pipe or, "vent" may seem like a reference to Among Us, (Amok Us? Coincidence?) But the game, came out before that one. Clearly, Amok is an innovator. It is, revolutionary.
The game wears it's inspirations on its sleeve. The inability to use your shotgun and flashlight at the same time is evocative of Doom 3, in my opinion, the greatest Doom game of all time. In my opinion. Like Doom 3, Amok seems to have been misaligned by the playerbase. Amok, is a failure. But, what does it mean, to fail? When you fall out of the boundaries of the map, you understand that, in Amok, failure, is necessary to succeed. And when I saw through the boundary as I fell into the void, I cried. In my opinion. Not only is this a genius puzzle, as it allows you to see which doors you can open to progress, but it is a meaningful articulation of our place in the universe.
Place is very important in Amok. As I trudged through the frozen, icy, coldness, no idea where I was, or where I was going, I felt truly terrified and alone. No video game has ever put me in the shoes of my avatar to such an extent. And going through the secret underground facility gave me pause for thought, for there seemed to be so much emptiness there, and also, within myself. I feared the monsters lurking around every corner, and also, the monsters lurking within my psyche. As author Ron White put it,
"There have been times in my life that I've had a ton of vices, and my demons have run AMOK for years and years and years."
This is a slog of a horror game.
You need to go into protal and it is dark maze game.
The sounds are too loud, the game is too dark, the enemies are lame and the maze is a slog to go through.
If you like a cheap game with no map, that is too dark, too long for such a hollow game, but if you can forgive this then this might be a game for you.

Gra jest śmieciem, symulator chodzenia po dużych, pustych mapach, w których polują na ciebie mutanty o prędkości starej baby, co się wepchała przed tobą w kolejkę.
Jest miejscami źle zoptymalizowana, nie uświadczysz niczego nowego, większość contentu to parcie do przodu, mieszanka randomowych miejscówek i randomowych wrogów.
Fabuła? Idziesz przed siebie i wchodzisz do orbów, żeby cię przeniosły do kolejnego poziomu, i tak przez mniej więcej godzinę, półtorej.

Lo jugué hace un tiempo y me había olvidado de escribir que esto es una bazofia.

Questo è il peggior gioco a cui abbia mai giocato.
Neanche brutto-divertente, ma brutto-merda-noioso.
Apparte il fatto che con la grafica al minimo mi gira come overwatch in ultra,mandandomi il portatile a 95°C,
non ho neanche finito il gioco perchè ero arrivato a un livello senza checkpoint in cui devi salire una montagna attraverso un passaggio a spirale per almeno 5 MINUTI SENZA CHE CAMBI NULLA. Al quinto minuto ero arrivato a una piccola discesa e mentre scendevo ho premuto spazio per saltare e sono caduto da un altezza di ben 1,2 metri perdendo 2/3 di vita.
Poi per sbaglio è successo ancora e sono arrivato a -29% di vita.
Quindi sono uscito e ho disistallato il gioco.
Non solo questo gioco non dovrebbe essere a pagamento, ma non dovrebbe neanche essere su Steam, ci vuole una bella faccia da ..... a mettere una cosa così sterile a pagamento.

"AMOK" ist ein First-Person Horror-Spiel.
Laut Beschreibung geht es darum, daß "Protagonist des Spiels ist es zu untersuchen, das Verschwinden von Menschen." Mal von den syntatktischen Problemen abgesehen: im Spiel selber wäre ich darauf nicht gekommen, denn die 12 Kapitel, in die das Spiel aufgeteilt ist, bleiben erratisch.
In verschiedenen Settings, einer Schlucht, einem Schiff, einem riesigen Bunkerkomplex, latschen wir in der Gegend rum in der Suche nach dem Ausgang zum nächsten Level, der dann nichts mit dem vorigen zu tun hat. In einigen Leveln erwarten uns langsame aber nervige Gegner, die wir manchmal auch sogar mit Waffen bekämpfen können.
Ansonsten haben wir eigentlich nichts zu tun. In den Quartieren des Bunkerkomplexes etwa können wir zahlreiche Schränke öffnen, die aber nur immer dieselben unnötigen Kisten enthalten.
Im Kern ist das Spiel einfach nur eine beliebige Aneinanderreihung unterschiedlich großer labyrinthischer Level teils mit wahllos platzierten Gegner, bei denen wir einfach nur den Ausgang finden müssen. Der besteht manchmal in einem leuchtenden Orbital, manchmal aber auch endet ein Level einfach so unterm In-der-Gegend-rum-Latschen.
Das Leveldesign ist furchtbar uninspiriert, teils idiotisch weitläufig und endlos repetitiv. Das Ziel ist meist nicht erkennbar, die idiotisch dummen Gegner einfach nur lästig.
An Wänden stehend können wir gerne mal durch selbige hindurchschauen oder wir gehen einen anderen als den vorgesehenen Weg und können auch mal im Fallen die Map von außen betrachten.
Aber das größte Problem: das Spiel ist keinen Moment gruselig. Im Gegenteil. Es ist eigentlich nur die ganze Zeit strunzlangweilig.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this game is on a new level. I thought when I would be purchasing this I would be getting some cheap knock off of the Aliens or Resident Evil franchise, but boy was I wrong! The amount of content in this game in insurmountable, and has technically passed games such as The Witcher or Grand Theft Auto series. I can't even begin to fathom how much effort the developers put into creating this gem, and only wish for more content . I feel as though this game has been misrepresented in the community for being some sort of "meme game", and don't understand the reason behind this. I applaud Amok for it's groundbreaking achievements and am excited for what is yet to come!
First off,it has some pretty big glitches.
Second, there is zero direction, no information, and you seem to randomly teleport around and do god knows what for endless amounts of time.
No atmosphere, not fun at all.
I don't even remember when I bought this game, but now I played and regret it deeply. But at least, it's really cheap.
首先写一下我为什么买这款游戏 我刚玩steam的时候看到这款游戏当时价格好像是60多看了下预告很是心动 但当时在上学没买 今天偶然想起 看了下6块 惊讶于价格我就买了算是我学生时代的一个怀念 玩了下 我感觉这游戏就是tm一坨屎 还好当年没买 没有引导 关卡式游戏 一开始看着马赛克一样的画面我以为当年小作坊动画就这样 万万没想到已经进入游戏了 后几个关卡都这样 房间巨多而且没卵用 没有一点剧情 看图猜字那样 枪械电筒那些要你在存在20至30个没有什么用的房间里寻找红色房间打不开 而且我没找到枪就进入了船关手电筒也刷没了 靛色光球是下一个关卡的触发点画面一直很模糊 后面几关和第一关一样这导致了我3d眩晕症发作恶心想吐别买这个游戏 真的不值送我都不要

I can see how, it's scary how poorly made it is.

I got almost 3 hours out of this for 62 cents. Not much of a story but very large enviroments. If you like indie First Person games you will get your moneys worth here.

There is no direction or story in this game which ok benefit of the doubt but it just makes the hugeness of the maps even more pointless since there is no secret note for extra plot like in outlast. Or even really important supplies since you can just run past the enemies. The game isn't scary no atmosphere at all and lag spikes all over the place the game doesn't even restart the game itself is trying to stop you from playing. There are basically 2 types of levels in this game maze levels and supremely long monotonous levels where you are endlessly walking to the next insignificant area. The maze levels are even worse endless running through different areas with one trillion pointless rooms for one room with the right portal aka level 4. All of these things you can find in level four it is dreadful you guys it really is. Just reach that level and you will see what I mean sorry this was so long and overstayed its welcome...ahem

You are thrown into this game with no directions, poor graphics, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ movement.
I'm still not sure how games like these get onto steam, but this is really a horrible game all in all. You really are left clueless and everything about it just is bad. Put it this way, I got stuck at the very beginning, which is not somehting that should be happening. This game feels like something I could do if i just bought a weapons pack and map pack on Unity and put it together, then sold it on steam...

Advertised as a first-person horror game...(I was under the impression it was a first-person [i]shooter[/i] horror game-more emphasis on shooting than there actually is) In my 0.7 hours, my experience was mostly, walking/running around aimlessly trying to find where to go. So then I thought, this must just be a puzzle/maze game, and I just need to find the next teleporter to get to the next section of the game-not what I had in mind before booting up the game (or purchasing). So then eventually I get teleported into a cargo ship, and it's super dark inside. Yeah, not fun wandering around in the dark trying to find where to go when you can barely see doors on the wall when you pass them in the limited light. At this point you get a shotgun and have to fight a few... humanoid creatures. But the majority of the time is spent figuring out where to go; enemies just become a nuisance, not a fun challenge, as they just slow you down from 'exploring'/finding the way out of another maze-only to end up in yet another maze/huge open level where your only objective is to get to point B. The environments are, well, IMO, passable for an indie game. Not very detailed or well populated environments, and each is painfully lack variety within its own section of the game (bunker rooms are identical except for blood splatters and the hallways large rooms lack variety; cargo ship hallways/rooms look identical) The combat is somewhat clumsy, so even if there was more focus on that, it still would be marred. No combat focus/challenge, no story presented in the game, no horror (or not yet), no point. I haven't played all the way through, though, so it's possible there is more to it. But in the almost 1 hour I played it, it doesn't give me the impression of being a competent or passable game experience compared to what it's aiming to be.
Also, it uses the unity launcher, but it doesn't accept rebinding the controls there, they are hardcoded:
WASD - move
mouse - aim/look (super high sensitivity, btw. I wonder if the dev's using 500 dpi or lower on his machine? I set my mouse to 500dpi (the lowest it'll go!) and it's still a little fast for my liking)
R - reload
F - use
Q/E - prev/next weapon
H - holster (don't know when you'd need this?)
Space - jump
Shift - run/sprint
C (hold) - crouch (if you use C for crouch, this ought to be a toggle. As a hold, it prevents you from strafing right while crouched. Better yet, allow user to rebind controls and use both a hold to crouch and toggle crouch key)
Left click - fire
right click (hold) - aim/use sights
If you just want to experience this game to explore the different environments (solve the mazes) you see in the screenshots, and don't mind the repetativeness of them (or maybe can come at that as a challenge), then sure, I could recommend this game for the 9¢ I paid for it. I don't recommend it based on how it measured up to what it was trying to sell itself as, even taking into account that it's an indie game.
Suggestions for the dev:
This could've been better (IMO) had it focused more on combat. There are HUGE environments with nothing to do but wander around and try to find your way out-which turns the game into more of a chore than a fun, entertaining form of interaction. Populate the areas with enemies and weapons and ammo and maybe use a waypoint here and there, or an option for a "hint" to show you where to go. Otherwise, like I said, the game just turns into a navigation chore, and isn't much of a game at all. Add more variety in the levels: have some items/objects out of place, more and more varied objects in each environment (for example, how about some small bushes in the outdoor levels, not just trees all the same height). Custom keybinds are always nice.
Don't bother buying it graphics stink looks like your playing a 1950s game.

- Historia incongruente empiezas en frente de una mansion entras y matas mounstros, no sabemos si somos un investigador o de que va el lugar ese.
Es un juego que no deberias tomarte la molestia de siquiera echarle un vistazo ni aunque sea F2P es recomendado.

Oh, and you'll be dropped by portals that are in random places for no reason, just to lose health because the portals are misplaced.
Had to stop playing for now, I get 5 FPS on lowest and about 10 FPS on highest settings. Don't ask me why I get better performance on highest settings, but I bet it's the same reason as why this game was made. For the lulz.
I won't get a refund for the fact that it was insanely cheap and that I want to see what the dev will do with it. And I enjoy bad games, too.
For under 10 cents - buy it. Any more - probably not worth your time

8円で購入、クソすぎて投げました。ジャンルは多分ホラーなんじゃないかなと思います。
操作性はひどく、チャプター５とかは特に色々なところで引っかかり非常にストレスがたまる。
さらにプレイヤーの動作が変にもたつく。
視点操作ももたつくのであたりを捜索する気も失せる。
しかも、辺りの戸棚を開いたりする行動に意味は無かった。
辺りに落ちているものを拾って投げることもできるが、こちらも大して意味は無い。
中から何か出ることもあるけどそのマップでは必要ないので完全に無駄。
さらにゲーム開始時に何かストーリーが語られたりしないし、
どこへ行けばいいのか、何が目的なのか全くわからないため、よく迷う。
特に最初の館では特定の部屋へ入り背後から何かに攻撃されますが、
怖さを感じるといった感じではなくただ意味がわからないといった感じだった。
他の敵も近づいたらこっちに寄ってくるだけで動きが単調すぎる。
さらに敵の攻撃はこちらにふれている間だけ秒間ダメージのごとくガリガリ削れる謎仕様。一体何をされているのか。
結論を言えばかなりのクソゲーです。値段相応。
操作性はクソ、プレイヤーへの配慮は0、意味の無い探索要素、意味不明で説明も無い敵と世界観、
どれもクソ度で言えばなかなか大したものです。
8円とは言えこれを販売できる製作者の神経が一番のホラー要素だと思いました。

This game is one good example of "What the F did I just buy" kind of games. For 9 cents how could I go wrong?
Well this game is a Unity based game, I know what unity is able to do as far as a game and I know you can figure out a decent Unity game when you see one, and this is a Meh at best. I am not saying its horrible but it is not great either and I think it is at least worth the 9 cents. Wished it had trading cards tho.

溢れ出るクソゲー感に心を躍らせながら８円で開発したこのゲーム。
蓋を開けてみるとわりとしっかりホラーゲームしており、クリアまで３時間程度。
安っぽいモデリングも逆に怖さを引き立てており、結構怖くて悔しぃ…///ﾋﾞｸﾝﾋﾞｸﾝ
もちろん道中が無駄に長かったり、調べるコマンドが何故かEではなくFだったり
そもそもストーリーがよく分からないなどのクソな部分はあるけれど

Sorry aber das Spiel muss ich auch negativ bewerten.
Erstens für alle die Deutsch im Steam eingestellt haben und ein Steam Fehler bekommen.
ihr müsst es unter den Eigenschaften des Spiel auf Sprach Englisch einstellen und im Menü im Spiel könnt ihr in die entsprechende Sprache einstellen.
Das zweite negative ist das ich bei Startfenster Input die Bewegungstasten eingestellt hatte und im Spiel keine Reaktion kam und nur mit WSAD steuern kann.
Dann startet man in dem Garten vor der Haus in einem Irrgarten kann man sagen. Wenn ich im Haus gehe lädt er ein neues Level auf im Haus mit vielen Türen. Wenn ich mit Anlauf gegen die Tür gehe komme ich einigemal ins schwarze und wenn ich nach oben Kuche sehe ich das Leveldesign in der oberen Etage. Dann hatte ich vor das Haus zu verlasse dann lädt er bei mir nicht, sondern wieder schwarzer Bildschirm und beim herumgucken sie man das Leveldesign des Levels. Da denkt man das der Entwickler ein No Clip Cheat in der Konsole hat das man durch die Wände gehen kann aber das war noch nicht der Fall nur bei Türen passiert es das ich plötzlich durch die Tür bin.

The game drops you off in the middle of a mansion where you immediately die. fantastic. then you are sent to a forest where you are not told where to go and kind of wander around aimlessly until you find where to go. By the way, go fast because you are slowly dying. What is going on? How did you get there? Why are you at this house? Nothing is explained. there's really no music to speak of either and it's a giant glitchy mess. I spent 9 cents on this and I kind of want that 9 cents back. Dear god. I can't believe i wasted an hour of my life on this nonsense. Ugh. Save yourselves. It's not worth your time.
I bought this game for $0.10, and from what I've seen, I regret paying even that much.
Why did I let the trailer fool me? I was expecting this game to be like Sector or All Is Dust; bad but also silly, and easy to make fun of, which is what I enjoy about playing bad games. But there's none of that in this game. In fact, it's probably the worst of the worst games I've ever played.
I spent the first 30 minutes of this game just walking and opening doors, and that's... it. There was nothing else, no enemies, no main objective besides "walk" and "open door", no point in exploring, and there is not even any plot actually shown in the game. I couldn't tell this was an investigation of missing people. At least not until I looked at the description of the game. Couldn't they also have shown at least some bit of story in the game too, instead of just in the description?
And killing enemies with a weapon wasn't all that satisfying either. Getting the shotgun after the 30 minute mark was literally the most exciting moment in the entire game. But when you kill enemies in first-person shooters, it's supposed to be fun. This was not fun. You move backwards at a snail's pace, so you can't get away from an enemy and shoot it at the same time, not that it matters, since he only takes away 2% health with each hit. Plus, your health regenerates, so it's not that hard to beat some areas.
I should also probably mention that the levels take FOREVER to get through. Seriously, they just drag on and on and on. The first few levels are nothing but several minutes of walking. And some of the levels are very maze-like, making it confusing and even more time-consuming just to figure out where I need to go. Even if enemies are thrown at you, you don't even have to fight them, since you're faster than them. You can just run right to the end. This isn't a horror game. It's a borer game. 'Cause I'm frigging bored.
Also, I found myself stuck inside the walls. Word of advice: Don't do that. There are quite a few glitches in this game. I was in a room with catwalks, and when I actually walked onto certain parts of the catwalks, things would disappear from the room. It was weird, but then again, so is the whole game.
So if you're like me, and enjoy poking fun at bad games, this is the wrong game to go with. Don't waste your time with this one.

Total waste of time and money.
I'm not a stingy person, but I feel that the nine cents that I paid for this monstrosity is an insanely high price. The fact that this game is 10 USD normally is appalling.
There's no coherent story at all. You're a detective or investigator, but you find no clues. There's nothing that actually advances the story. You teleport from place to place inconsistently without context, and it just leaves the player confused.
The atmosphere is just not there. There's typical horror music, but it's played throughout the entire "scary" chapters that it's pretty much just white noise by the time you actually hit your first enemy.
Enemies are another thing. They're not scary, at all. These enemies have about the same level of scariness as a band member from G.W.A.R. What makes matters worse is that there really is no reason to be scared of them since you have guns that can kill the enemies easily. And to make it even less scary, on the ship level, you can get ammo way too easily. If you're going to give weapons, make the enemies much harder to defeat.
The last thing I'll talk about is the optimization of the game. It's awful. I have a decent computer, it's not great, but it's okay. Intel i5 quadcore, and an Nvidia GT 730. It plays most of the games I throw at it at 30 frames or above. Except this, even on the lowest settings, I was only getting about 10-15 fps.
Final rating:
11/10 would play again.
EDIT- Older hardware, pass on this game, even if it is free. Newer (post 2014) hardware can run this game passably. It isn't a bad game for a one man team. Just needs some guidance to get the player immersed enough to forgive any issues.

This has got to be the worse pile of garbage I've ever seen. My machine is quite modest by today's standards (Asus T100Chi, 4Gig RAM, Quad-core 2.2Ghz, 1920x1200 LCD) but this game runs like a digital photo frame. Reduce the quality to the minimums, lowest resolution... still, I cannot look left and then right within a minute.
And I cannot find *any* info about any command-line switches to resolve issues...
with that being said; reading the other reviews claiming this is just an advertisement for the author's graphic objects... it isn't even good for that purpose!

New computer with a much newer gfx chip. Game runs a lot better. In 2 hours of playing, I've made it to Chapter 6. The game gets pretty good (compared to what the early levels are) and relies heavily on darkness to hold you back/slow you down.

Despite setting the game to run in other resolutions, it still runs in my LCD native resolution; it downsamples the gfx to the resolution you pick.
Sound is minimal/Music is almost non-existent.

Are they aliens, demons, mutants? All of the above? I have no idea.

Seriously, this game is not worth $10.
Nothing about it is scary, there is not a lot of action, no story or direction, the controls don't list the most important key. It just isn't worth it.
On top of all that is already wrong with it, some parts of the game is very glitchy so there isn't a lot of trial and error is some of the levels.
