I remember first playing this game franchise when I was tiny on some website. I finally found this game again and it brought back so many memories. It is a fun kind of puzzle game that has enough challenge to make it interesting but also doesn't take too long to play. The quality compared to more modern games is of course not great but I still can say that I had fun playing this game, even in 2025.

There's a good concept here, but there are game-breaking bugs.

The idea of managing an airport as an air traffic controller can be fun. There is some satisfaction in orchestrating planes around to have planes come in and go out just in time. But having planes explode while taxi-ing or planes glitching backwards on the pushback, and then crashing, kills the joy.

警察の交通整理を思い浮かべる、似てはないが、

Mildly recommended.

There is a decent game in here. Visually its okay, the audio is good with the radio chatter and sfx, and the different airports have unique layouts which gives some variety. It feels like a pick up and play kind of game with a simple scoring system but no other goals or objectives. If you don't mind score chasing and quick decision gameplay, this might be worth checking out.

This game is the casual edition of the Airport Madness series, which is convenient to play during a lunch break. The graphics aren't impressing but it's fun to play. At the end it becomes tedious when trying to get the "Move 100"-achievements at airports like Las Vegas or Funchal. Nevertheless I can recommend it, you get a good value for your money.

Could be a really good game but it is so clear that developers were very careless. Lot of physical nonsenses. Planes moving through each other, etc... You cannot see heights so you do not know it a crash is coming or not.
You cannot save. There is no overall ranking board. No missions. Random effects are so annoying.
Very very unbalanced game however I enjoy "building" mode of some maps.

This game is full of bugs. Don't buy unless it's on sale for a few bugs and you really want to try.
- sometimes planes just randomly crash with each other during taxi, like during pushback from a gate.
- sometimes making one plane go faster or slower makes all planes go faster or slower.

It's a very fun coffee break game that has plenty of replayability.

You are put in the control tower managing both arrivals and departures into some of the world's busiest airports. Your mission - to manage arrival and departure, make sure airplanes make it down to the ground safely, to the terminal and then back into the air. The compounding factors are that you have a intersecting runways, some planes fly faster than others and the amount of traffic can become overwhelming.

It's not an accurate air traffic control simulation but it definitely combines a simple gameplay with a challenging level of complexity. It's fun,.

Graphics are basic without support for high resolutions and the game is very buggy. Random planes exploding on their own, sliding off the runway and into grassy areas that they can't normally go on, planes exploding with planes in front of them when holding on a taxiway.

Airport Madness is a high-score based game where your score increases with each plane you successfully taxi off from the airport. Seems tedious but actually pretty fun! Managing planes and redirecting them to different runways is surprisingly challenging and rewarding, but does get pretty repetitive after a while. If you're interested in learning about ATC or trying to become a ATCer, this game isn't it. This game is not a simulator even though it markets itself as the real deal. But if you're interested in ATC, trying to get interested in ATC, or want to see a glimpse on what an ATCer does, this game might be for you.

I have played this game for years, through several versions. It is not a graphics-intensive game. You have a birds-eye view of an airport and it's your job to give ATC commands and keep all of the airplanes safe on the ground and in sky. If you like that sort of sequence-based game that increases in difficulty, this is a great buy.

It is fine BUT... It has a lot flaws. So prepare strong nerves and accept that you need to use mostly only mouse, not keyboard, otherwise you end up raging, because planes start exploding on the taxis, or change the designated runway in the worst moment. The best thing is to catch first incoming plane, hit several times key 1 to slow this and all other planes and then stop using 1 or 2 for speed and W for take off. You can use safely only R for crossing a runway.
But still be prepared that there are still some random glitches, but not so common.

Then it is nice game:-). And I have beaten all airports with the 100 planes twice (once when I got this game for free elsewhere). But I would take it only if you miss this kind of game and if you catch it on sale.

This game is a hot mess. The key Q/W can cause the planes to change their headings. Planes can collide off-screen after they take off or while in transit (without your direction, which per rules they should not collide). Planes can come flying in unapproved. There's too many concords...lol. Stay away from this low value piece of trash

This is fun puzzle game. If the subject matter interests you, you'll probably like this to a point. For a casual play through, on slower settings, this game can give hours of fun.

More importantly, it is riddled with game-breaking bugs that can take the fun out of the more intense settings. Seeking high scores and the achievements (if you enjoy chasing those) can become quite tedious and while not impossible, certainly not an enjoyable pursuit.

Those achievements were why I came back almost 7 years after release...and I'm beginning to think I might have simply forgotten the reason I gave it up in 2016. Perusing through the forums shows that these bugs existed around release, or were added in with various updates, and were either not fixable or were simply unfixed.

The biggest issues:
1.) Planes will automatically reselect their own runway designations, after being told to land at a different runway. This doesn't happen all the time, bit it has happened continuously on Zurich, London, San Francisco, for sure. This makes planning your game impossible, and with the end of some runways so close to the edge of the maps, there's little time to see it and try to fix it. And on the harder modes, there's rarely time to fight with them. In a mode like "Building Traffic" where one crash ends your game, this is a full-stop game killer.

2.) The planes will crash on the taxiway, when they are out of your control. I'm not talking about if they are stuck and backed up on the runway or something. I mean when one is driving down the taxiway and it is hit by another crossing a runway for example as if they weren't waiting for each other like they do at push back. I'm not sure what sequence of commands allows this to happen, but its frequent enough to be a problem.

3.) Speaking of push backs. Planes will go crazy when pushing back from the gate. I've had multiple planes just drive in reverse across tarmacs, runways, and the dirt only to stop when they inevitably run into something. There's no control over the planes once a push back has been initiated so again its game over in the harder modes.

4.) Planes will land, take the entire length of the runway, and then take off again trying to return to their runway of choice (I think this is connected to number 1 somehow).

5.) Expedited off doesn't seem to work as expected (but it might be intended to work the way it is, I don't know). It makes sense that a Boeing 777 needs the whole runway. But those little prop planes, once slowed down and expedited off, should divert onto the closest taxiway to clear the runway--they don't do that even if you hit the option as soon as they land.

6.) The "speed up" and "slow down" shortcut keys (probably the ones you'd use the most) will affect all the planes in the air instead of just the one you selected. Thus making them entirely pointless to use and incapable of serving their time-saving purpose.

Great casual game! Your job is to handle incoming and outgoing airplane traffic at different airports, and try not to crash them. There is no campaign in this game, but you have 4 different mods you can play. Endless traffic, Building up traffic, Move up to 100 airplanes, and I forgot what was the 4th one, but I played mostly these 3 mods.

Different airplanes fly at different speeds, so if they intend to land on same runway, you need to take care that slower airplanes expedite quicker off the runway to make way for a faster and bigger plane. Also runways that cross each others often carry extra risk, cause there is a possibility that airplanes will crash at those crossings while landing/taking off.

Sometimes, to spice up the game, some of the runways that you desperately need get closed down, because of repair works, or sometimes neighboring towns-people will object to noise, so airport closes temporarily some runways, and that brings only bigger chaos for you to handle.

You need to think fast, and react even faster. Some airports are harder to handle than the others, but this game will bring you joy if you give it a chance. I completed everything there was in game in cca 25 hours, but I bought it for like 2$ at summer sale, so it is a no-brainer.

Unlogisch was die Flieger in der Luft angeht. Es heisst Airport Madness und nicht Sky Madness. Ich muss die Flugzeuge nur vom Airport weg steuern und nicht in der Luft auch noch. It is fun, sure, but it is NOT the best Airport Madness edition. The lack of keyboard hotkey for speeding up, down etc can be a bother, you have to click with the mouse for everything (and it slows you down too). I suggest the newer 3d version, or the super cool time travel edition.

Nie jest to gra dla każdego. Gra jest przede wszystkim minimalistyczna, dynamiczna, prosta w sterowaniu, ale skomplikowana w swojej prostocie. Nie jest łatwo opanować nadlatujące samoloty, tym bardziej jest to utrudnione jeśli masz tylko jeden pas do startu i lądowania albo 4 pasy i musisz mieć łeb na karku bo można na nich lądować jak i startować. Przecinające się pasy powodują to, że samoloty muszą je przekroczyć jeśli lądują albo chcą się dostać na inny pas by z niego odlecieć. Brakuje mi w tej grze jednej mechaniki, gdzie moglibyśmy odesłać samolot na drugi krąg żeby pojawił się za jakiś czas jeśli mielibyśmy za dużo samolotów na raz. Czasami robi się w grze chaos, ale jeśli się go opanuje, nagrodą jest satysfakcja grającego.
Polecam grę każdemu.

Stupid game. There are so many good implementations of this online that there is no excuse for a game where planes crash into each other approaching the airport through no fault of yours.

Wouldn't spend too much time playing this game, very repetitive.
2021 update: Waiting for new achievments.
2022 update: Went by in a blur.
2023 update: Still no new achievements.
2024 update: Still nothing.
2025 update: depression.

Very fun game, pretty well designed, however it does have some bugs, although most of the time the bugs don't ruin the game overall; you can learn to live with them. It has a lot of maps, and there's really no end to how much fun you can have. I prefer infinite madness mode. Definitely recommended, especially if it's on sale.

If you always wanted control air traffic on airport this game is a perfect choice ...you will have different airports to choose from and you will have to control the planes to take off or land and make sure no-one of them crash ..game is very simple once you understood how to play it ..if you use headphones this game will sound even more realistic have fun !!

Full of bugs. all of it sudden aircrafts collide on the tarmac or cruss all over the map sideways. Then it the controllers fault...sucks to try a highscore this way

This is the 2nd one of these games I have played from this developer and with both of them the achievements don't work. The games are fun if you don't care about achievements but I can't give it a thumbs up due to them not registering correctly.

Edit...I was able to install it on a different PC and get the achievements.

It's fun, only wish the resolution was higher...
The game makes perfect compromise between true realism and too big of asimplification, a design decision necessary for every game to be fun to play.
Overall it is a very good game, providing just the right amount of challenge.

내가 컨트롤할수도 없는 주기장 한가운데서 택싱하다가 충돌하고 자빠졌으면 그걸 어떻게 깨나? 분명히 expedite를 눌렀으면 활주로를 빨리 빠져나가야지 끝부분에서 어영부영하다가 다음 착륙하는 놈한테 꽁무니 들이 받히는 것도 어처구니 없다. 난이도 고르는게 아무 의미없이 아무때나 오지게 몰려오고, 해상도도 못바꾸는 등 게임의 기본적인 편의성 문제는 해결된 것 하나도 없고, 그래픽이 딱히 나아진 것도 아니고 오히려 전작에 한참 못미치는 못난 게임

Simplistic, very easy to lose track. Incoming planes seem to pick their own landing strips which seems pretty dumb. Doesn't excite me any and I got bored pretty quick.

The price is pretty whack, get it on sale if you want to try it.

Game starts quick and very easy to understand.
You can get pretty challanging pretty fast.
If you look for a game that starts fast and easy to play but challanging at same time. this is one.
