I remember playing this game a lot on a friend's account a long time ago.
The other day it popped up again in my memory and I figured it'd be fun to go back and play an old beat 'em up and maybe try to finally beat the entire game.

Unfortunately, come to find that the game is entirely broken and simply does not run.
There's a supposed workaround provided by the dev(s) in the discussion, but that was last updated back in April of 2025. It's nearly 2026 with no updates and the alleged workaround simply does not function, or at least not properly.

Though I remember the game itself rather fondly, I simply can not recommend a non-functional product.

システム自体は面白いけど、ゲームはエフェクトとか敵の数とかで何してるか分からなくなりがちで、プレイ中に何が良くて何が悪かったのかが判断し辛く、こちらから学ぼうという意識が無いとまず楽しめないので気軽に遊べないのが難。
空中で戦えるという事が逆に立ち回りの正解を分かり辛くしている事もあり、妙にストレス値高めです。

Music is really nice. Graphic is ok but the gameplay is very suspicious here... characters are flying around while using attacks. Enemies are hovering mid-air. It's mostly about dodge or attack in the right moment. No combos. No different enemies (mostly). No potatoes. This have to be a joke. Game presentation is really nice however - what a shame. Fighting like ace is not here so maybe we have a rare situation where expectation are not met or misunderstood by players.

I remember first finding out about this game on it's release year. The main theme/first stage theme was basically the whole reason I got interested, however I was a literal 12 year old at the time and did not have any sort of money to be able to buy this game. I was stuck with TF2 back in those days.

Skip a couple years, I ended up finding this game again a few years back hidden deep within my wishlist. With a newly equipped credit card at the time, I bought this game without a second thought.

Oh my god it's fun. I've played beat em ups, and none of them have got me coming back every now and then quite like Aces Wild. The game focuses intensely on aerial combat, and while looking EXTREMELY goofy, actually provides the mad amount of fun. Learning the game and getting used to the mechanics such as dodging or the Wild meter feels SUPER rewarding. I still highly regard this game as my favourite beat em up, it's a fantastic game presented in a neat little box. Not a whole lot in terms of content, but the quality of content provided more than makes up for quantity.

If you enjoy feeling like an anime character beating hordes and hordes of enemies without breaking a sweat, but also a challenging and addicting game loop, then I cannot recommend this game enough.

Aces Wild has some fun ideas about how to do aerial combat allowing you full control of the character while attacking which is something that most games don´t do and suffer as a result so it was refreshing to see this take on combat. Unfortunately that´s where my praise ends as the game is littered with horrible design choices.

- In a game where you have infinite air movement your double jumps are on a cooldown timer between usage... Unnecessary restriction in a game where you can go from the floor to the sky in a second with charge attacks. Regular movement should not be this handicapped
- Poor visual cues for attacks, the animation is very bare bones so the game relies more on audio cues and flashes to denote danger which takes the fun out of dodging enemy attacks as you are less observing their actions and more so learning the artificial patterns
- Your ability to follow enemies on the air is dependent upon you hitting them which means that if you have several opponents above you and you can´t reach them then you have to find a less interesting way to get to them even though once you attack them your character´s aerial speed increases tenfold.
- Horrible attack tracking on heavy attacks which miss your opponent more than anything. They have the highest air speed but that often means you overshoot your target not hitting them. This means that in the middle of a combo you have to let go of the analog stick to combo into a heavy strike which feels awful.
- Coupling of attack direction and attack movement on heavy hits. If you want to move towards an opponent to the left but want to hit them with the down variation of your punch you can´t. By going to the left your punch will follow that direction, this compounds the missing issue where you could have landed a punch if you were able to angle it in the opposite direction you were moving. Yet worse of all, it reduces the combat freedom for a game that is supposed to be all about aerial combat and heavy knockback into destructible objects.
- Hyper armor enemies are unfun, unengaging and take way too long to break their armor. Again this is a game about exaggerated knockbacks into walls where you launch 5 enemies at the same time. Having enemies negate that selling point is counter productive.

Not terrible but not something I would want to play again. If Tara would ever be up for making games again I certainly wouldn´t mind trying it out again as Aces Wild has a lot of cool ideas but for me the game needs to be more polished for it to win me over.

[h1]SOLID PLATFORM BRAWLER, BUT WITH SOME WEIRD DESIGN HICCUPS[/h1]

I saw this indie a couple months back and ended up getting it [i]explicitly[/i] for the purpose of playing it with a friend.
Definitely worth it, honestly.

It's basically a platform fighter kind of ala Smash, just... as an actual beat'em'up instead of a "versus" fighter or whatever. Think Subspace except that's the whole game.

You get a jump, walljumps and a directional dash for mobility.
You have a [b]Wild[/b] meter that charges up from hitting enemies, and you can burn that meter to extend/"hold" the dash into fully-controllable flight.

You have light and "crash" attacks. Light attacks are your standard combo that you mash the button to keep doing, while Crash attacks consume Wild meter (they can be charged to use even more meter for even MORE power), and are directional like in Smash Bros (neutral, up, down, and side moves depending on what you're holding before you press the crash button).

Light attacks also [I]stop your fall[/i], and you can direct yourself mid-combo long as you keep it going, which lets you basically "carry" enemies around in the air while hitting them with your combo to wherever you find most convenient.

You can probably tell from everything I'm saying but this is a very [b]air-combo-centric[/b] game.

You also have a directional [i]dodge[/i], again, sort of like Smash, which gives you iframes and lets you go through enemy attacks. Though unlike that game, here you can chain that dodge into a [b]counterattack[/b], which has different properties depending on what character you're playing as. One of them counters with a 360 spray of projectiles, while another one starts doing a really fast controllable slide that lets you deal damage whil egetting out of theway.

The visuals are hand-drawn in what seems to be vector graphics, like the best you could get out of an old Flash game (and I'm saying this in the best sense of the term).
And the music is [b]GREAT[/b]. Genuinely. EXTREMELY energetic electronic chiptune stuff. Not every song is [i]equally[/i] great but at [i]least[/i] the main theme is guaranteed to stick with you; [b]really[/b] strong melodies here.

Honestly my gripes with the game come towards the end. [i]Gripe[/i] really, singular. I love the gameplay, I love the music, the story is basically nothing special but it's not the focus, it's a REALLY exhilarating game to play.

...But the balancing gets really up its own ass at points, and especially towards the end.
The stage 4 boss is [i]unbearably[/i] annoying, with super armor, constant lingering hitboxes, projectiles everywhere, and eventually just [i]burning the entire ground[/i] to force you to spend the rest of the fight in the air.
The stage 5 boss [i]also[/i] has super armor and spams a neverending swarm of both projectile drones and drones with an electric aura around them, that you can ONLY hit with attacks that have long enough hitboxes to avoid touching them with your main body as you hit them.
The final boss has a pretty cool and relatively easy-to-figure-out pattern, but will randomly counter out of your combos with an unavoidable [i]instant[/i] explosion. Also super armor.
The boss rush BEFORE the final boss is just... not balanced in the slightest. They start throwing you the bosses of previous stages, [i]multiple at a time[/i]. There's no changes or balancing or attacking-by-turns to balance it out, they just slap down two bosses from different stages at once and go [i]"good luck LMAO"[/i].

Really, my biggest gripe with the game is the sheer [b]amount[/b] of superarmor bosses and even some stronger basic enemies get. I can understand giving strong enemies some damage resistance so you don't just stunlock them to death, but it takes SO long to chip away at their armor until it finally breaks and you're able to combo them. And you have to spend that whole time getting a few light hits in, then immediately dodging through their attacks before they destroy you, since you're not putting them in any kind of hitstun and they'll keep attacking while you're trying to get some chip damage in.

That boss rush at the end is really just the culmination of all my balancing gripes I'm mentioning here.

I [b]genuinely[/b] like this game a lot but I really wish they spent more time balancing that stuff out. Because again, the gameplay's great, the visuals are nostalgic to the old Flash era, the music's also great, but by the second half of the game their idea of "difficulty" just becomes spamming super armor on everything so it takes AGES to kill anything, with all the dodging you end up having to do (and counterattacks dealing little more than chip damage).

I'm still recommending it, just keep in mind that it's GOING to get annoying towards the end. You can always lower the difficulty, but the weirdly high amount of super armor on enemies is still going to be there.

This is one of the best arcade beat 'em ups I have played in recent memory, if not ever. It's like if you condensed the stylish fun you get in games such as Bayonetta, God Hand and Devil May Cry into something that could be in an arcade cabinet. And the end result? Something that I have been constantly playing for a month or two by the time of writing this because I just can't put it down!

It's not a perfect game of course, not many are. Some rooms can be annoying, and if you are easily frustrated then I don't know if I can fully recommend this to you. That being said, the fact that you have literally EVERYTHING unlocked, levels included, the moment you first boot up the game can definitely remedy that. And in my personal opinion, these flaws aren't really a deal breaker. I find it a shame that this game is so underrated, because I truly think it's a hidden gem that I HIGHLY recommend, especially if you enjoy games where you ridiculously beat the absolute ♥♥♥♥ out of your enemies.

I got this game a long while back because it caught my eye, an 8-direction aerial beat'em up game that has a unique combat system with a combo style meter that can be used in several ways! You can use some of that meter to make your attacks stronger or use it at a certain threshold to recover lost health, it also has a dodge mechanic that allows you to counter with a light or heavy attack! At the start it's a bit easy to pick up and mash buttons, some of the environment is even destructible.

Once you learn how to make use of the counters, your meter will come more in handy as the count towards these counters, eventually you will come across enemies that can also counterattack when hurt, with super armor, or a combination of the two. These enemies with super armor not flinch until you break this armor, you might break it faster with your counterattacks the larger your meter is, but this is where problems start to form.

Since your meter is part of this "risk reward system", you also use it for your charged heavy attacks, so you have to be thoughtful on how you dish this meter out. Using a heavy counter uses the meter a bit, charged heavy attacks borrow from the meter, and recovering health will use all of your remaining meter. Sure you can build it up by dealing damage, but you also lose it for taking damage too. The dodge does not grant you meter either, this can pose as a problem as the game emphasizes you make use of the dodge mechanic to counter attack, which you will do more often as part of the game flow.

Top this all on the fact this game is an "aerial beat'em" up, you will spend a lot of time in the air before you drop back to the ground if you aren't using your attacks, dashes, and dodges to reset your double jump while in mid-air or have a wall to wall jump off of, all of this comes together into a bigger mess when you're in a room with super armored enemies and no floor to jump off of, God help you if it's a bottomless pit or a floor hazard, you will die/take damage. This make battle scenarios become far more tedious since you aren't rewarded for dodging attacks either, problems like this rear their head come stage 3 and beyond.

There's also an issue with balance too, with 3 playable characters, one of the characters, Ace Wilder, is the most broken character, hence the title, while the other two characters if you find you gravitate towards using them, are weaker and will have to work far harder to beat the bosses. I had a much rough time dealing with boss 4 as they have counterattacks, several special combo attacks, and a final phase that requires you stay airborne as the whole time as the floor now becomes nothing but a hazard you cannot rest on. Did I mention boss 4 is also airborne the whole fight? Yes this is exactly what you'll be putting up with the whole time as the difficulty curve ramps up to a ridiculous degree! You'd even think Boss 4, with how fleshed out they are was even an unlockable character, they aren't.

This game feels unfinished and could use more work on the mechanics to refine and balance the game so that the more fun aspects of it aren't ripped away from you to provide difficulty, because that difficulty becomes more and more artificial the more you press on.

the game crashes on startup if you have a controller connected for some reason. to stop this, unplug/turn off your controller, launch the game, and then reconnect your controller. after doing these steps, it should work.

An 8 directional 2D beatemup with a ton of potential and great soundtrack but ultimately feels unfinished and abandoned.

The game is less about combos but more about LOTS of air dashing parrying/dodging and crowd control. It also has an extra power meter which can be used to heal yourself or pull off super strong smash attacks creating a little risk and reward system.

However this is when the problems arise. A LOT of enemies abuse super armour, requiring you not only be incredibly patient for your chance to hit back effectively (hell one boss fight AND it's minions has super armour the entire fight!) but generally speaking you're only doing 1 damage per hit too unless you manage to pull off a smash attack with that meter you've built up. Oh and I hope you like gambling all that meter on a single super strong crowd smashing hit! You'll be doing that a lot.

This would be less of a problem if it wasn't for the fact that not only can you only build meter SLOWLY by landing hits (the game should be rewarding skilled dodging too but doesn't), but if you get hit and collide with other enemys or another player you can LOSE METER making the slog even harder.

I've beaten hard games before, hell I've beaten this before, but I can't recommend it for any more than on a sale..It can get brutally hard and frustrating sometimes even more so on local multiplayer. Once you reach the last leg of the game it just feels like the AI has all these options at it's disposal while you have to work your ass off for everything. The games at it's best when you use it's unique crowd clearing mechanics, but the design often feels like it just doesn't want you to do that

Game doesn't work out of the box, must unplug gamepad for it to even launch-- which is a problem, if Steam doesn't read the gamepad after launching and re-plugging. The game already doesn't play well on keyboard, but adding insult to injury are the absolutely abysmal menus, including the key binding process.

You also punch a pupper within five minutes of the game.

It's an early indie game here and that doesn't help but what matters most is the gameplay, right? I'm just not feeling it. It's too repetitive, too tiring and difficult. As in "I got to fight MORE of these enemies and now while trying not to fall through the floor!?"

I know some reviews say something along the lines that this is what an anime beat 'em up should really be like; but there needs to be pacing. This is the equivalent of watching an action move where all you see for 2 hours is just action and nothing else. It's too superficial but not style and no substance. Even older, dumber games like Double Dragon are more interesting because of these pacing issues. Attacks need to have more impact and do more damage.

Everything is "unlocked" from the start. Even though there are various stages you can pick anyone you want including the last one right off the bat. You're paying for a small time trial attack mode where you're graded every level. The game is also abandoned so there's that.

Windows 10 isn't officially supported. You can get it to work but it's not obvious how to. There are issues with gamepad support.
As for the game itself, it's good but brutal.

솔직히 말하면 게임 자체는 괜찮게 만들어진 것 같긴 합니다. 정확한 상황에서 정상적으로 기술들을 제대로 넣을 수 있다면 말입니다.

문제는 이 게임... 이것저것 기능이 많아서 키도 많은데, 옵션에서 키설정을 다시 하려고 하면 이게 게임이 멈춰버리질 않나, 기본 설정은 솔직히 좀 많이 불편합니다. 대쉬-점프-기본공격-강공격은 원래 일렬로 되어 있는 게 국룰인데, 강공격이 점프 바로 옆에 있고 기본공격이 한칸 떨어져 있어서 점프를 기준으로 기본공격 콤보와 대쉬 등 여러가지 동작을 제대로 연계시키기 어렵습니다. 게임 설계상 원래부터 기를 소모하는 강공격을 위주로 쓰고 기본공격은 기가 부족할 때 채우라고 대미지를 제법 높게 편성한 건지도 모르겠는데 어딘가 미묘하게 록맨을 닮은 듯한 조작법(대쉬, 점프, 벽타기 등) 때문에 그런 차이점에 적응하기가 너무 어렵습니다.

상당히 재미있는 컨셉의 게임이고 실제로도 그런 것 같아서 후회는 안 들지만(환불도 안 받을 생각), 초반 진입장벽이 너무 이상한 쪽으로 불친절해서 그냥 과감히 접고 다른 게임이나 하려고 합니다.

The button-mashing brawler aspect can be a bit tough on hands, requiring some endurance to power through. Most definitely a puzzler in addition to a beat-em-up. Do you enjoy punching fools from one end of the map to the other while jumping along running train tracks and dodging lazer beams? Aces Wild is a very energetic side-scroller platformer / beat 'em up and knows it. You and a friend can choose between 3 different characters, and fight your way across each stage to a boss at the end.

The combat in Aces Wild is very fluid, and the addition of super attacks that fill up as you combo enemies gives you more strategy than typical beat 'em ups. The screen can get pretty cluttered with the high volume of enemies, projectiles, hit particles, etc., so make sure you keep a close eye on your character's position. The bosses in Aces Wild pose the biggest challenge, sometimes taking quite a bit of time to whittle down.

If you like side scroller punching games, have at this one, which I give a 7.9/10

Short beat'em'up with zippy, impactful combat and catchy music. There's a nice risk/reward for building up your multiplier because it changes the damage you deal AND take. It can be pretty challenging but it doesn't feel cheap.

Just another disappointment in life.

If anyone is having fun with this game, I would really appreciate advice on getting the game to run.
I have tried running it from the EXE and running it as admin.

This is my third edit. It was about 2am and I decided to randomly try starting up Aces Wild and it finally worked for whatever reason. The game is super fun and fast paced just as I hoped, but now I have mixed feelings about playing the game because it was a pain in the ass to get it started. Despite all that, I know of a perfect way to rate this game. A WTF out of 10.

It looks like a flash game but it's actually enjoyable, as some may have said, it can get repetitive quickly.
It could have more characters, maybe some leveling up which would unlock combos and other stuff but that's my personal opinion.
Most levels / stages looks a bit the same, different decor but it ends up being the same.

It's best point would be its gameplay.
It's worst point would be its replay value.

6.6/10 - It's enjoyable, i'd say it's worth about 3$, not more.

The controls are floaty and every action lacks satisfying impact. The combat is repetitive, arcade mode filled the screen with effects covering your character and enemies. Boss rush mode is better, but only because it is 1v1.

Aces Wild strikes me (no pun intended) as a decent game that just doesn't have enough going for it. The game looks nice enough and the controls are tight. The music and sound effects help make the game feel high-octane and frenetic. But to be honest within half an hour, I've already found myself pretty bored with it.

Arcade mode features very generic and repetitive environments and enemies. Knowing I'm about a quarter of the way through the game didn't help my enthusiasm but I decided to check out boss rush to see if the game switches it up. The answer to that: not really.

It's hard to hate on Aces Wild but at the same time I don't think it does enough to appeal to most people. Even if it was interesting enough to blaze through the arcade mode, it's definitely not a game I would end up coming back to. Mixed feelings but ultimately a pass from me.

Combat is simple and repetitive, you do feel the weight tho. Like when you fully charge your punch and send enemies flying, greatest feeling. Not too easy and not too hard, I say that despite literally getting my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ torn apart by the first boss which is a dog.

Aces Wild is easily one of the best indie action games on the market in terms of combat depth and overall fun factor once you get the rhythm down, and it succeeds at being wholly unique in its mechanics. If you don't want to read my dive into that statement, then just know this game is worth buying.

Aces Wild is a 2D action game, but while many of those consist of beat-em-ups or action-platformers, AW is a true 2D action game in the purest sense of the word. Platforming doesn't actually matter because anything below you will at worst damage you, not kill you, and you will rarely fall down a pit unless knocked into one by an enemy because of the insane aerial freedom you have. Your Rapid string can move you up or down just by holding those directions while inputting the string of attacks, you have a homing air dash that only uses a miniscule amount of your Wild gauge, and of course your jumps are large and just floaty enough to give you air in the first place, and that's before attacks that are designed to send your character (one of three) in a certain direction.

The actual combat mechanics are hard to describe in terms of other games; the closest I can muster is that it feels like a 2D version of the Otogi games (very floaty and air-based, knocking enemies away from you) combined with some aspects of Bangai-O and Arcana Heart (bouncing enemies off of the walls and the freeform air movement respectively) with a Wild gauge that has a combination Stamina/Super Meter thing going on, and a ranking that vaguely reminds me of God Hand's Lv.1/2/3/DIE dynamic difficulty system. The better you do in Aces Wild, the harder it gets, even on its lowest "Calm" difficulty; if you're looking for a game to breeze through, this isn't it, although it does give you the courtesy of having every stage unlocked from the start so you can see late-game content even if a boss seems unbeatable. I think this is because the game cares more about its ranking system of your performance in a stage than anything else.

When it comes to the visuals, there's a vibrant, hand-drawn style here that makes every character, boss, and enemy type recognizable and memorable; the bosses in particular are all stellar between their patterns and their actual designs and are the biggest challenges in the game, as they should be; you'll have more trouble with the 2nd boss than some rooms in the 4th and 5th levels. The story is practically non-existent, being set up in an opening slideshow and otherwise conveyed only through names and wordless actions, but it works for what it needs to be. The music is also very good; it's the kind of soundtrack that's great in the moment but doesn't really get stuck in your head later on.

To repeat myself and summarize the above; Aces Wild is the purest 2D Action game you'll find, and if you're the kind of person that likes to grind their skill in a game until you've gotten the best ranks on every room in every level and boss by mastering combat mechanics, this is the game for you. 8.5-9/10

Really fun, frenetic game. You move from zone to zone and fight a horde of enemies. What makes the game really fun is that you have a dodge button, that if pressed on time completely negates the damage that would be taken and fill a bit of you special meter, that can either be used to heal or perform a strong attack. Great game to play now and then.

Mon incompréhension est totale face au nombre d'évaluations positives de ce brawler.

C'est mal animé, les sprites utilisés sont dégueux, grossiers, passe-partout et surtout réutilisés à outrance.
Lors d'un même "stage" le même fond pixelisé est utilisé de la même manière, vous verrez 600 fois les mêmes containers réutilisés dans chaque partie de la map sans sourciller, posés là sans une once de logique dans le level design.

Le gameplay est approximatif, avec une physique complètement inexistante si bien que les personnages volent quand ils se tapent sans trop de raison.

La même musique en boucle va vous casser les oreilles, pendant que votre personnage n'aura de cesse de crier les mêmes onomatopées insupportables à hauteur de 50x / min. Bref, c'est un calvaire auditif en plus du reste.

Pas d'histoire, un vague mode appelé arcade qui vous fout directement "dans l'bain". Des ennemis sans âme, vous devez même taper des chiens (pauvres bêtes) qui portent un foulard et chient (excusez du terme) des lasers. Allez savoir, moi j'ai pas essayé de comprendre j'ai préféré ALT+F4.

Je ne vois donc qu'une gloire qu'on lui aurait conféré par le passé? Serait-ce donc un fossile déterré par Steam et glorifié par des fans nostalgiques? Ou la suite spirituelle d'une license légendaire ? Ou est-ce seulement moi qui suis complètement hermétique aux charmes de ce brawler/beat them all de 2013?

Allez savoir, je passe mon tour en tout cas.

This game is really bad. And I really was having fun too. The problem with this game is how stupid the difficulty of the enemies are in the game. They pile up on you hitting you over and over until they kill you PLUS THE BOSSES IN THE GAME ARE BROKEN BEYOND BROKEN!! I want to play this game with the feeling that it's balance. But it's not, and that's what is making me so mad. This can be fun but it can't of the way the game feels so broken with enemies that hit you even if your as far as the sun in space, they will hit you even that far away from you. I can't give this game or the developers any type of credit of bad balancing. They did have an idea that could have worked if they had tested this and played it themselves first to see if this game is just right with the difficulty. If they fix it then I may change my mind but I have no faith that they will of how old this game is. I only hope that they take a lesson of learning from this and doing better. The game feels like a mix of smash bros and devil may cry gameplay. But no, just no. Go back and do it again developers, Fix this and test it first.

Game is hard to master, but interesting and fun so far (Dec 2018; will try co-op later). First boss leaves a good impression. Dodging/countering is important, and looking for animation startups to attacks (often red flashing, or response to your combo, or listen for voice line). Tutorial can be paused to read a wall of text near the end about "Rank", which is important.

Aces Wild: Manic Brawling Action is a 2D brawler with a fitting name - fast, paced, always-going, high flying combat that makes it a unique game and a fresh take on the beat 'em up genre. Controls are responsive, combat is satisfying and the gameplay is very challenging with a neat remix on what would otherwise be repetitive combat thanks to the Rank, Wild, and Panic systems. Presentation leaves much to be desired with simplistic backgrounds and average looking "sprites", but character sprites are fluidly animated as they move around through combos. The soundtrack is a nice set of GBA/DS era style Megman-esque techno chiptunes - pretty good, but repetitive and maybe not too memorable in the long term.

[h1]If you're a brawler fan looking for a fresh take on the genre and fast gameplay - Aces Wild is a great way to go. But the difficulty will put off some gamers even on its standard "Sassy!" difficulty. [/h1]

TL;DR: Aces Wild is legit awesome, if a bit unpolished.

Pros:
+ Simple yet satisfying combat
+ Strong use of dynamic difficulty
+ Diverse enemies
+ Three distinct characters to play as
+ Solid Environment Design

Cons:
- Textures are low budget
- While good, music needed more tracks and diversity
-Enemy shields are a neat idea in concept, but VERY tedious in execution, particularly with bosses.
- No Cloud Saves

The greatest beat 'em up that no one knows about. Gather up enemies with a combo, then punish them with a strong attack. Dodge through bullets and stay in the air indefinitely. The charged attacks have a tremendous sense of impact as they crack through shields. Great boss fights with fun patterns.

I love this game. Gameplay is fun and can go insane yet very challenging. The aerial combat feels great.
One would complain about the controls however as there is no control support for this game, I recommend using a third-party software like "Joy2Key" or similar. Regardless, this game is playable with a keyboard.
Sure, many would complain that every stage seems repetitive such as similar enemies from the last stage except with more health, this is a beat em' up game afterall, that's all there is to this game, and a great game at that.

1.街机风格
除方向键外，共4个常用按键，已单人模式的默认按键来说
H，rapid，轻拳
J，crash，重拳
K，jump，跳跃
L，dash。冲刺
和常见格斗游戏一样，轻拳有较快的出拳速度，容易打出高连击，但伤害较低
重拳则是较慢的攻击速度和攻击幅度，但攻击伤害高
配合方向键的攻击，可朝着对应方向移动
如果是轻拳配合向上，甚至能浮空很长一段时间，不停打出连击
2.总共7关，两种模式，其实根本上差不多
ARCADE模式的每一关最后一个场景，也是直接挑战BOSS的
3.敌人有类似于破防的机制，尤其在BOSS战
在没有破防前，伤害较低，并且不会把敌人打到硬直
但破防后，可以打出硬直、打断敌人的动作
BOSS如果没有被破防的话，大多数情况下都是没办法打出高连击的
4.难度很高
第一只BOSS狗就能把你虐得想放弃
不过这游戏好像倒是没有失败的说法，死了就当前场景重来（所有怪物重新刷新的）
5.可以本地双人合作

Awesome game with multiple unique ideas, idk why I got a sort of "God Hand" feel to this. I like the combat though it doesn't rely on actual combos, whenever you load an entire bar of wild into an enemy the satisfaction is near climactic. Also you almost rarely fight on the floor, ariel battles FTW! Fairly challenging and extremley fun. However controls need a lot of work (Controller support pls). The tutorial saying "Hit the attack button" in a keyboard with 100+ keys isn't really helpfull. Not much story put into it. Sometimes in boss fights you whack em so hard they go to places I don't think they're supposed to be (Under the ground of the stage). The fact that everything is unlocked cuts alot of replayability cause you can skip to the last boss from the momment you first run the game. Despite all this I still recommend it highly because of it's price it is definately worth trying out!

Really REALLY cool idea for how a game should feel, but the game is so damn lopsided in how your attacks work. The ONLY way you're gonna deal any kind of worthwhile damage past the first 2 stages is solely based on your wild gauge and using it for charge attacks. Your basic attacks feel like weak little slaps especially against enemies with super armor and since your basic hits do 1-3 points of damage on average while enemies can usually have health bars ranging in the 100's. The satisfaction of beat em ups comes from being a super OP character facing waves of mooks with the occasional big dude to pound on.

Unfortunately that doesn't come from this experience most of the time. I get they wanted to emphasise their mechanic of building meter, but when you rely SOLELY on it for any kind of punch or kick to your moves, especially when it ALL drains so fast from a missed charge attack, it just feels annoying. You're either kicking ass and destroying everything on screen, or you're getting juggled by 3-5 multi attacking enemies at once with super armor on all of them. There is no inbetween in this game, which beat em ups should have.

Funny and fast sidescroll beat'em up. Three characters, a little reiterative enemies but bosses are great and original. The doggos are the best and most charismatic.

Is easy to play and make combos, but hard to master. The air combat is the most original plus and in it radicates the central action.

Makes you feel like an anime protagonaist with all the hot-blooded power while also still being hard enough you feel great for being able to baet a boss and get a high score. Even better if you can play co-op as the insanity is kicked up to eleven.

EDIT: Unfortunately , I have to change my stance. Although a really fun game, right now, it's basically abandoned by the devs and most of people (me included), can't get it to even work.
I understand that the devs maybe moved to other projects, but I urge them to at least make the game free or open source it. It's better than to charge people for an unplayable game. Truly a shame to this game be left in this state. Therefore, I don't recommend it to anyone, do not buy this.

EDIT2: After some work, I've made it work. You can find how on the discussions of the game. As for now, my stance of NOT recommending this game persists. The game should be playable out of the box or, at least, have a guide from the dev explaining the requirements.

One the most underrated indies of all time. It's basically a anime combat simulator, it's intense, it's fun, it's wild! You won't regret buying it!!

Gioco di combattimento a scorrimento (stile anni 90) che non vuole pretendere troppo. Consigliato l'utilizzo del joypad per un'esperienza "decente". Detto ciò, è un altro gioco acquistato nei bundle a cui ho voluto dare una chance ma che non ha passato il test. Magari in due ci si diverte pure, ma giocarlo da solo, non avendo trama, stufa dopo poche ore...
