首先感谢官方的认可和邀请！游戏画风是少见的盐水朋克，武器种类虽然不是很多但好在每个武器有9种改装，是真正意义上的改造，并非换个皮那种，这点非常不错，加上有各种局外养成和模式挑战，整体内容非常丰富，最重要的是可以联机
下面说一下缺点吧，一个字就是非常肝！前期几乎无法正常通关，数值太低导致第三个第四个图基本上就是在刮痧，只有中后期大部分功能解锁之后才能爽起来，我这边其实希望能把游戏改装的流程改变一下，可以设计成那种单独关卡挑战，前期就可以解锁，既可以避免前期坐牢，又能让玩家充分体验每一种改造的模式玩法

Неплохой рогалик, часов на 10-15, не больше, из за однообразия локаций, и что хуже отсутствия разнообразия путей и тд.
Но кстати обнова вышла отличная! С оружием и способностью.
И анонсирована следующая с новой локацией и врагами, может в будущем будет еще лучше, как знать.

I liked this game enough to buy it for 3 of my friends so we could play together. I never had a run I didn't enjoy, the audio and gameplay quality are fantastic. The Bioshock art-style with additives from several eldritch horrors blended with a nearly flawless combat system. Truly a good game highly recommended.... just don't try to use the brine revolver...

Movement and gunplay feels great. Love the mix of both the nautical, sailor, "brinepunk" aesthetic mixed with the Lovecraftian aesthetic. Also the wide variety of upgrades you can get makes each run feel very unique. Lastly, love the final boss, and hope to maybe one day get some kind of merch for them.

[h1]ДИНАМИЧЕСКИ ДУШНО[/h1]

Сама игра производит хорошее впечатление ровно первые пару часов. Динамичный геймплей, приятная графика и физика стрельбы создают иллюзию качественного рогалика. Но как только спадает первая эйфория, всё начинает рассыпаться на глазах. Ощущение, что игра представляет собой сырую демку, первый акт которой искусственно растянули, чтобы игроки не побежали рефаундить в первые полтора часа. Игра предлагает бесконечную "беготню по кругу", вместо вменяемой прокачки и чего-то интересного в последующих аренах.

[h2]Минусы[/h2]

[h3]Однообразие арен / Гринд[/h3]
В случае если тебе не повезло в забеге и ты сфидел, то будь готов проходить абсолютно идентичные локации, которые заполнены абсолютно идентичными мобами и в конце встречаешься с идентичным абсолютно боссом, которых тебе придётся так же колупать, ибо естественно ты никак не успел насобирать фрагменты душ для прокачки статов в хабе. По итогу получается так, что ты терпишь, пробегаешь те же локации, собираешь некоторое количество душ для прокачки, закономерно умираешь от условного второго акта, прокачиваешь в хабе и идёшь по новой наяривать круги по уже заученным аренам.

[h3]Бесполезная система прокачки / "Интересный" торговец[/h3]
Прокачка здесь существует будто бы для галочки. Развитие навыков не даёт какого-то "вау-эффекта" и не значительно меняет кор-геймплей. Открываешь новый уровень пассивного навыки, ожидаешь, что станешь ультра нагибатором, а по факту цифры урона становятся чуть выше, а враги просто чуть быстрее умирают. Импакта от билдостроения нет. Ты не чувствуешь, как растёшь и становишься мощнее. Ощущение, будто белка в колесе просто набирает скорость, но не сходит с него. Да, в кольце душ есть и интересные навыки а-ля реролл навыков в алтарях, нахождение святилище исцелений на аренах, нахождение кузниц для прокачки оружия во время забега, но всё это мелочь, которая, опять же, не даёт ощутимого импакта. Особенно смех вызывает самая верхняя пассивка - позволяет носить два талисмана сразу. Это звучит как какая-то шутка от разработчиков. Вот ты потеешь, делаешь сотню забегов, трайхардишь каждую локацию и по итогу прокачиваешь последний пассивный навык - теперь ты можешь носить два амулета. Но фишка в том, что и амулеты [b]не дают должного импакта[/b]. Безусловно есть и хорошие амулеты, к примеру амулет истребителя гигантов (+20% урона боссам и элитным противникам) или продуктивный амулет (+200% урона к целям на арене), но этих самых амулетов лишь пару штук. Всё остальное бесполезный или около-бесполезный мусор, которые есть смысл только разбить для получения золота. К слову о золоте. Между аренами вы можете встретить торговца, который будет любезно вам продавать пару амулетов, шприц ([i]местная хилка[/i]), восстановление ХП и пару благословений. Про амулеты я рассказал выше - их есть смысл покупать, только если вам посчастливилось и у торговца представлена годнота, которая ощутимо повышает ваш урон или даёт иное преимущество, которое вам необходимо в текущем прохождении. Но будьте готовы отвалить за амулетик 105 голды и остаться без шприца или фулл ХП перед боссом. Про благословения я и вовсе молчу. За них любезный барыга просит целых 140 голды. Я не знаю каким нужно быть кибер-атлетом, чтобы приходить к торговцу с полными карманами денег, учитывая то, что за все мои забеги обычно я приходил к нему с 110 - 120 золотых на руках. При том, что я пылесосил все монетки с мобов на аренах и ломал все бесполезные амулеты.

[h3]Скачок сложности во втором акте / Дисбаланс[/h3]
Если первый акт еще можно пройти, получая условное удовольствие, то второй акт превращается в испытание на прочность нервов и всего остального. Разработчики, видимо, решили, что раз игрок освоился, нужно просто взвинтить цифры здоровья и урона мобов до самых небес. Монстры становятся чудовищно сильными не за счёт интересных паттернов поведения или новых мувсетов, а за счёт чистого перевеса в статах. Вместо хардкорного, но честного испытания мы получаем фрустрацию, где любая ошибка наказывается получением тонны урона, а рядовые мобы превращаются чуть ли не в мини-боссов. Про элитного моба перед боссом локации и говорить не хочется. Босс представляет собой какого-то крокодила с мечом, который скачет по всей арене, заполняя её различной степени паршивости эффектами, от которых нужно прыгать как умалишённый, не забывая наносить свои единицы урона мобу. Да, первый акт тебя заманивает и маринует, мол, вот-вот и ты вкусишь интересного геймплея. Как итог, ты доходишь до второго акта и сталкиваешься с суровой реальностью Abyssus, в которой ты вынужден затыкивать рядовых мобов, уповать на выпадение полезного амулета и откидываться в хаб, чтобы прокачать себе +0,1% к урону.

[h2]Плюсы[/h2]

[h3]Динамика и темп[/h3]
Основное, за что можно похвалить игру - она не даёт скучать первые пару часов. Сражения драйвовые, персонаж подвижный, за счёт высокой скорости передвижения играть первое время довольно бодро. Это та самая "удочка с морковью", которая заставляет вас бежать вперёд, пока вы не замечаете, что бежите по кругу.

[h3]Графическая составляющая[/h3]
Визуал выполнен в мрачных тонах, которые отлично передают настроение заброшенного подземного царства. Игра грамотно использует свет и тени, а само окружение проработано с вниманием к деталям. Несмотря на повторяемость локаций, сам мир выглядит интересно и стильно, что сначала обманывает игрока, создавая иллюзию глубины происходящего.

[h2]Итог[/h2]
Игра на один вечер с крайне низкой реиграбельностью. Если вы ищете динамичный рогалик с глубокой прокачкой и разнообразным миром на долгий срок - проходите мимо и лучше попробуйте Deadzone: Rogue. Abyssus оставляет после себя только усталость от монотонных действий и разочарование от несправедливого баланса в геймплее.

I like the art style, movement and combat/gun/abilities. Does it have heaps and heaps of content... no. But it is fun to play while you are getting all the unlocks and for a bit every now and again after you unlock everything. But this won't be your main game that you will grind for months on end (at least for me).

Still a good game I would recommend if your looking for a change of pace.

It's fun. Loads of unlocks and achievements. Good variety of end game, weapons and mods for them, the last boss is cool, though I wish there was more map and enemy variety. The same 4 maps get a little boring at times.

A failure in game design

The game fundamentals are good; it has smooth gameplay, follows game tropes intuitively, yet it feels as if the game is battling itself at every turn.

The bad:
- Horrendous roguelike; nearly zero difference across different runs, and there is too little content to consider every run truly different. You can realistically get the same build every run without failure due to rerolls. There are no branching paths or alternate gamemodes, and the true ending is forced onto you after playing for long enough.
- Questionable balancing: unlockable content spoiler [spoiler] the game panders to JUST explosive builds, and that's literally it. Using the fan and double explosion amulets nets you 6 times damage, but this amulet combo is ONLY usable using explosive weapons [/spoiler] It's not like you can't complete the game with any combination of things, it just isn't nearly as fun.
- Co-op? There really is zero reason for this game to be marketed as a co-op experience. The game instances everything, and the only time the co-op comes into play is reviving your teammates, which is virtually impossible during boss fights, and specific co-op rooms which is just "get everyone to sit on some random buttons simultaneously".
- Mechanics are trickled onto the player so slowly that the first 4 hours of the game feel like a tutorial on internet safety after having used computers your entire life

The good:
- The game is visually cohesive and visibility is very good. Even with the large red sphere indicators for explosions, it's very rare for your screen to be so cluttered that you can't tell what is happening.
- Decent lore and story if you're into it. Some story booklets are rather annoying to find, but it was overall fun experiencing this part of the game.

I'd like to specifically point out the wind element in this game as my biggest source of frustration, alongside the horrendous weapon system. Wind just has a random chance to deal AOE damage, and that is it. The upgrades are just "pull stuff in", "deal more damage", "make AOE bigger". It feels like whoever made this element forgot any game mechanics existed, or this was just the element made to prototype parameters during development. It could've easily been the movement element with movement speed, dash recharge, storing up dashes, etc, but instead it does literally nothing.

The weapon system is also the literal antichrist of roguelikes. The one thing roguelikes should make you think when you unlock something new is "I wonder how this new thing works with this thing I obtained before?". This game's system makes it so when you unlock a weapon, you must use that weapon to unlock anything new with it. There is nothing obtainable that can be used across multiple weapons, such as modifiers, which realistically is what should've replaced the primary/secondary system. There are abilities, but they don't have any notable synergies to speak of. To sum it up, you are never given a reason to go back to a weapon you decided you won't use.

I could never recommend buying this game below a 75% sale. I've played enough to have reached the point where anything new I do is just for completionism, and I only have 10 hours on it.

Abyssus is great for the first few runs, but it starts getting stale quickly. Once you have most things unlocked and have tried every weapon, there's not much more to do.
The main issue is how abilities are made, besides a lack of run variety; they don't work together or do a poor job at it. Weapon primaries, secondaries, and abilities mostly end up being hard to use together and sometimes end up being contradictory. I always find that one of these is left behind in runs, and this was attempted to be fixed by requiring an aspect (the in-run upgrades) on every ability, but it still doesn't justify using all three.

Pros:
- Great for the first few hours of gameplay
- Aesthetics are beautiful
- Movement feels fluid and works well for how simple it is
- Bosses are mostly unique and well made

Cons:
- Gets stale after unlocking everything
- Game design feels like it wasn't thought out; abilities don't work well together and aspects all play pretty similar mostly being different ways to apply DoT
- No alternate paths
- There are a very small amount of bugged upgrades
- Room design is hard to deal with, and you can end up getting stuck on walls occasionally

I have hope this game can improve over time.

The reason why arena shoots like Doom, Quake, Deep Rock Galactic, Gunfire Reborn, (etc.) work without a HUD radar is because enemies spawn at points away from the player. They spawn at areas where the players cannot see, or predeterminedly loaded in when the player moves to the next room.

All you had to do was copy that formula, and yet you guys failed. You want me to strafe around gunning down enemies while taking free backshots from enemies that spawn in behind me??? You punish players for doing good because clearing enemies spawn in new ones at a randomly determined spawner in the room. All you had to do was add in an invisible radial diameter to each spawn that prevents enemies from spawning if the player is within it.

And if you don't want to do that, then you need to go with the gunfire reborn approach and add more chances/places to heal with destructable objects having a better chance of dropping healing items, guaranteed shops, chests dropping at least 1 healing item, etc. Etc.

Currently this game, I cannot recommend it. The difficulty of this game isn't the problem. It's the not so fun mechanic that you can take random backshots from enemies that's the problem

I have to say, I am impressed with how much this game has to offer. For what I thought was a little indie dev game, there were plenty of enemies, levels, bosses and different playstyles to experiment with. Now I did find that some bosses were somewhat easy to fight against as you learnt their attack patterns, but even then I had good fun fighting such bosses.

The environmental design gets gorgeous and more beautiful the deeper you are into your run, of which you will get absolutely mind blown towards the end of a run. Level designs are neat, some felt a bit too spacious but not emptytowards the latter end of the run in the later biomes, however it was still fun and enjoyable.

I highly recommend this game and if you are like me I did wait for the game to go on sale to which I think there is not much harm in doing so. Playing with a mate is the experience I've had I'm not sure how it is solo, but with the joys I had in a "co-op" run I'm sure this will translate pretty well in a solo run because of the movement system which can give fast horizontal speed through a dash and high verticallity with the double Jumps.

Great coop game, the rogue-like progression so far is well paced. Enemy variety is decent, weapons are varied and fun. Great game to jump in with friends for either 1 or 2 runs or a continuous several hour session, works well for both. Movement mechanics feel good. Hub area is a little bare-bones, just functional. Lore is explained through found texts, would have been cool if there were some NPC's to flesh out the lore.

Gioco molto bello ma quando si arriva a fare i livelli abissali dal 20 in poi è impossibile, va bene che sia tosta con i vari modificatori e altro ma i danni e la CAZZO di vita che i boss è INGIUSTO. Fare il livello 30 così solo per un achivement è non ha senso, mettetelo almeno al 20.

Abyssus — это реально что-то с чем-то!

Если вы любите мрачные и атмосферные рогалики — это прям ваше! Игра затягивает с первых минут, и ты как будто проваливаешься в эту чёрную бездну.

Графика, может, и не самая красивая, но она идеально подходит под атмосферу — всё тёмное, мрачное, с элементами лавкрафтовской жути.

Самое крутое — это то, что каждая смерть учит тебя чему-то новому. Ты думаешь: «В следующий раз точно пройду дальше!» и снова ныряешь в эту бездну. 😅

Игра реально заставляет думать и планировать каждый шаг. Тут не получится просто бегать и стрелять — нужно продумывать каждое действие и прыгать очень много. ПРЫГАТЬ. Возможно, в этой игре у вас может сломаться или пробел, или палец) А еще этот рандом не позволит собрать нужные тебе навыки.

Оценка: 9/10 — за атмосферу, реиграбельность и тот самый лавкрафтовский ужас!

This game is awesome, but breaks very quickly if you start doing the "endless loop mode". After the third or fourth loop the developers clearly didn't use the right number values when writing the code of the game. Damage values will start turning negative and the game begins to crash. It seems like game was built around doing one run through the game. Other than that issue, It's a very fun game that plays similar to Doom. Good weapon and build variety, enough to keep you around for probably 60-100 hours.

Abyssus scratches the co-op roguelite itch. Theres enough variety to entertain for at least a dozen hours, with a fun, realized aesthetic. Music is bumpin and listenable on its own. Cool guns that interact with augments in fun ways. Wish there was more agency for player customization and appearance outside of the builds themselves, or that blessings and items reflected in appearance in a more flavorful way. Nab it on sale!

A lot of fun playing through the missions and gaining souls to level up your player. After completing I wish there were more things to do for endgame. Great game overall. Fun with friends and solo. After playing dead-zone rogue and other rogue like games this one is worth checking out.

Do NOT listen to the negative reviews on this gem of a game. By far one of the most addicting games you can enjoy with friends or as a solo player. It is so damn fun if you really enjoy rogue-likes and feeling like a god among men lmao. You can make it as easy or as hard as youd like. 10/10 would recommend
