as others have said, its a great and very interesting concept to work with, especially kind of stepping into the part of someone who is visually impaired and "seeing" the world through their eyes and what impacts that has.
but as much as i love the concept, it gets very repetitive after the first few fights. i have not finished it since i died multiple times from one fight and cannot properly figure out when to hit the enemies so i dont get damaged. adding to that is the respawn after dying happens before another running and finding the girl task. this adds much to the repetetiveness and doesnt help in trying not to die in the fight.
so i generally love the concept, and would love to recommend it, but cannot, as it is too much of the same thing over and over for me (finding the girl, listening for audio cues to hit enemies)
that said, it probably is a very great experience for actual visually imparied people, as it is basically intended as a game for them :)

Il gioco risulta bello, ma a mio parere ha soltanto tre criticità.

Se perdi una battaglia o sbagli nell'inseguire la ragazza viene ricaricata tutta la scena, non solo il pezzo che hai sbagliato. Ciò provoca momenti "sei morto, ora beccati due minuti di cutscene e due minuti di inseguimento della ragazza prima di poter riprovare" che rendono l'esperienza molto frustrante.
[h2]Seconda criticità[/h2]
Non c'è modo di ricontrollare i comandi. I comandi vengono spiegati nel gioco, ma se lo si chiude e lo si riapre dopo molto tempo non vengono rispiegati. Nel menu c'è modo di scegliere tra gamepad e tastiera, ma non c'è modo di sapere quali siano i comandi (se si cambia periferica a metà gioco bisogna indovinare i nuovi comandi).
[h2]Terza criticità[/h2]
I tasti di parata e counter (F e G su tastiera, RS giù e ??? su gamepad) non sono responsivi quanto mi aspettassi, mi è capitato spesso di ritrovarmi senza scudo o aver fallito un counter senza accorgermene. Ciò mi ha portato a smettere di parare verso l'endgame perché la parata non era consistente e quindi risultava troppo rischiosa.
Per il resto il gioco è carino e la storia risulta interessante. Ma le criticità elencate sopra rendono l'esperienza frustrante.
So last week I was thinking to myself that there are too many "roguelikes" and "soulslikes" and other derivative crap and how I want more unique experiences from my games. Then I thought, what about a game with no video output? I did a search and found a handful including this one. It was on sale for $0.76, so I gave it a shot.
The concept is surely unique, but I feel like the execution was poor. The core gameplay makes sense on paper, but in practice it doesn't work out. It doesn't sound like sounds occurring in a real space. It's more like these floating audio bits that don't exactly land in the right 3D locations. You have to follow around your daughter, who says things like "Over here" in a way that implies you could ever know what direction that means, but it's really hard to do that. She's like, "On the left!" and you hear her pitter patter sound fly off ahead and to the right, or "Straight ahead" and you can hear her doing serpentine evasive maneuvers back and forth.
Combat is listening to guys go "GGGGRRRRRGGGLGLLLLLLRRRA(X)AAH!!!" (sometimes with MUCH longer sounds) and you have to hit in their direction at the "X" to interrupt the attack. The sounds are utterly ridiculous and the timing is sometimes intuitive and sometimes inscrutable. Bad guys can take a dozen hits but you only take a few. In some cases you can be one-shotted. In the worst cases you can have your guard broken and be one-shotted. In a game where 99% of the time you can just safely, continuously hold up your guard, you sometimes need to react to unblockable attacks that you literally cannot see coming.
Dying is especially frustrating because almost every save point is before unskippable dialogue and before confusing "marco polo" sequences. So you have these battles where you keep losing and when you do it's several minutes of annoying retreading to give them another shot.
One especially egregious, recurring sin, was dialog that implied that the main character (the "Blind Legend") could see. Several times in the story he'd be like "It looks like thin ice" or "we have to hide in those shadows" or the daughter is like "it's over there!" He can't see...
The story is ridiculous the whole way through, especially the laughable end.
I give a lot of credit for the novel idea but I definitely do not recommend this game unless you really really are interested in the idea of a game with no real video output and want to force yourself through a poorly executed attempt at that.

The concept is unique, and it's great that the game is designed for disabled players. However, as others have mentioned, the gameplay and story just aren’t very fun or engaging enough to keep you going. Also, for a game made entirely of sounds and voices, AI voices are very annoying to listen to.

The concept is unique and I want to applaud the devs for trying something new. But as others have said, the gameplay just isn't fun and the story isn't engaging enough to keep you going.
So, I tried to play this game, thinking, blind-supported game should be interesting although I'm not a blind.
First of all, it doesn't recognize a gamepad.
Then, it explains I can change it to gamepad later but there is no explanation how to do so.
The worst part is the narration voice. It's sounds like a machine synthesized voice. It break an immersion that I am a blind knight led by my daughter. The unbearable narration voice continues forever.
Then the frequent loading. What does it loading? The installation size is just 400MB. It's so small it can completely stored on memory. There is no graphically complex rendering. Seriously, what does it loading?
No, I can't recommend this game.

[*]Points de sauvegarde uniquement en début de scène, ce qui rend les échecs très frustrants quand le combat est en fin de scène : on se repasse le début en boucle.

First off, the [b]AI narrator[/b]. Goodness gracious, couldn't you afford a random guy off the street for like 10 bucks to voice a couple of lines for your game, like it sounds like you did for the rest of the characters? Seriously, no hate to the voice actors, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ the voices sound so blocky and monotone you might as well be talking to a random dude on the phone. Nevertheless, the dudes "voice acting" are MILES better than an AI narrator. Seriously?
Next, the sound design. It's not that bad, really, but for a game completely centered around [b]HEARING[/b] and [b]NOISES[/b], i was really expecting something more.
Now, if it only was these 2 issues, the game wouldn't be THAT bad, and would still be a nice experience.

어 블라인드 레전드 - 아내를 찾아 더듬거리며 적을 모조리 베는 심봉사 검객의 이야기 리뷰입니다. 우선 이런 게임은 태어나서 정말 처음입니다 (충격!). 시각 정보가 정말 하나도 없어요. 화면이 그냥 꺼멓습니다 (내 미래처럼..) 딸내미가 이리 가라 저리 가라 디렉팅을 해주는데 그거 듣고 방향을 더듬어 가야 합니다. 적과의 싸움도 숨소리, 패턴 이런 걸 숙지해서 타이밍에 맞춰서 합니다. 진짜 눈을 감고 소리만 들으면서 게임하는데 이게 더 편합니다.
굉장히 새로운 종류의 경험을 게이머에게 선사하지만, 그와 동시에 엄청난 좌절도 선물해줍니다. 보지 못하는게 정말 이렇게 답답할 수가 없어요.
큰 단점 하나 꼽자면, 소리 정보만 가지고 이리 저리 헤쳐나가야 하는데 특정 챕터에서 개발자의 의도가 분명하지 않은 부분이 있습니다, 그냥 될때까지 도전하는데 죽을 때마다 체크포인트부터 다시 시작해야 되서 머리에서 김이 나네요. 약간 운빨이 작용하는 것 같기도 하고.. 정보가 굉장히 한정적이다보니 여기서 뭘 어떻게 해야 할지 어렵게 느껴지는 부분이 가끔 있습니다. 이래서 듣는 정보로만 판단하는게 새삼 이렇게 어려울 수 있구나.. 라는 걸 깊게 느낄 수 있었습니다. 저한테는 하드코어가 좀 많이 어려웠습니다.
이래저래 인내심이 부족한 분들께는 추천하기 어려운 게임입니다. 다만 새로운 종류의 게임을 해보고 싶다? 함 트라이 해보는 것도 좋겠네요.
A Blind Legend is among the rare "audio" games that can be fully experienced by someone with vision impairment. The voice acting and audio effects are excellent and establish the atmosphere for the game.
I see that other reviews have complained about the robotic narrator voice. This voice only reads out game menus and says "Loading" during loading screens. I did not find it distracting from the core gameplay. When the game was made back in 2015, I doubt that using AI voices was that controversial.
Gameplay essentially alternates between combat sequences and sections where you have to trail an NPC or a sound.
The combat is almost like a rhythm game where you need to figure out the right window to attack or counter for each enemy. It takes some trial and error to get it right, but is satisfying once you figure it out. It has a surprising variety of enemies and combat situations
What I didn't like was the number and placement of save-points. The game does not allow manual saving. Given the audio based structure of the game I understand why implementing this would be difficult. But the devs chose to repeatedly place save points before unskippable dialogue and trailing sections, which would lead up to combat where you are likely to die and repeat the whole thing. I found the trailing sections irritating, especially when there is an enemy chasing you. I would repeatedly die without any clear feedback on what I did wrong, except maybe taking too long to reach my destination. Had the checkpoints been more frequent, my ~15 hr play time would have been much shorter.
Another complaint I have is that there is no tutorial recording of combat controls that you could access from the main menu. This was surely doable and would have made things easier if you were picking the game back up after an interval. It also does not seem to have a "pause" setting, attempting to pause with my Xbox controller using default mapping would send me back to the main menu and reset progress to the last automatic checkpoint.
Still, I would recommend the game as it is quite enjoyable and unique. And also because I bought it discounted to less than 1 USD in my local currency.

В целом, достаточно хардкорное и увлекательное экшен-приключение с элементами [spoiler]стелса, паркура, верховой езды, гребли, отбивания стрел на лету, побега из тюрьмы[/spoiler] и, конечно же, с потными [spoiler]БОССФАЙТАМИ[/spoiler] (один из которых занял у меня [u]час[/u] реального времени). Это особый уровень удовольствия, когда выжидаешь нужного тайминга, косясь в сторону, прислушиваясь и тяжело дыша, а потом мокрыми ручонками наяриваешь в нужную сторону стик, успевая при этом сделать блок вторым. Геймпад приятно вибрирует, когда на твою голову опускается тяжёлая булава или в щит влетает фаербол. Лор на удивление продуман, а бестиарий богат, и даже несколько [i]досадно[/i], что единственные иллюстрации обнаруживаются только на коллекционных карточках. Озвучка персонажей такая, будто перед тобой разыгрывается напыщенное театральное представление; но рецензентов, по ощущениям, больше смущает синтезатор речи Саманта (вроде бы, это оно) — стандартная утилита для людей, у которых имеются осложнения со зрением, так что [b]не вижу[/b] никаких проблем с её задействованием.
Единственное, чего не хватает игре, чтобы быть совершенством✨, так это субтитров, пропускаемых кат-сцен, мини-карты, вертикальной синхронизации и загружаемого саундтрека со всеми двумя композициями.

It could really be a great game. The idea is really cool. And the soung design is interesting and neat.
But as many people, I hate the AI narrator, and it's speaking a lot. Both in french and english it is unbearable. And even more in this era where AI is not well seen, and even less in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game...
Also, the voice actors are... improvable. But at least they are humans.
The only art this game has is the sound. I think they could have used a bit more time and hire a narrator, and also they could have gotten better voice actors. But at least a human narrator.
That's my main problem. If you add a human narrator, it will give this game the sensation you are on a theatre, and it would be really nice. But that robotic voice (because it isn't a good TTS engine either...) just kills all the mood. The mediocre voice actors aren't that bad. But please, HIRE A ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NARRATOR AND GET RID OF THE AI VOICE BOTH IN ENGLISH AND FRENCH!!!!!
Until that, I can't recommend this game to anyone, unless you can stand a robot talking to you and killing the medieval vibes every 5 seconds.
J'ai aimer le jeux durant les 30 première minute. globalement durant la découverte, le faite de jouer uniquement avec le son, le système de combat même si parfois il n'est pas très claire..
le reste n'a été q'une répétition des mêmes actions et quand vous mourez devoir refaire toute la scène est par moments TRÈS frustrant.
Mais pour 1 euro ça reste une très bonne expérience.
Du peu que j'ai pu jouer en ce debut de session, ce jeu est une innovantion raffraichissante dans une entrepise en declin. Je recommande vivement
If it would be just a normal game, it would surely failed. If you have are somehow experienced player (like "not only solitaire"-level rather than pro gamer one), it won't surprise you. It has the laziest possible plot and two or three the most obvious sound-based mechanics. Also some battle scenes has really unreadable and frustrating timings. To sum up, the game could be much better if developers were motivated and talented. Nevertheless, the concept of non-visual game is amazing and I can recommend the Blind Legend only for this valuable experience.
This game is a truly rare experience. It offers something unique and unforgettable, making it stand out from the rest. Highly recommended!

Встречает игра предсказуемо — визуального главного меню нет, а пункты зачитываются голосом. Но обескураживает другое — использование для таких целей (а также для обучающих подсказок) не очень качественного text-to-speech робота. Конечно, на дворе 2016 год, до революции нейронок и машинного обучения ещё несколько лет, но почему не записать голос живых людей, как это сделали для персонажей сюжета? Я бы сказал, что во всей игре чувствуется вот такое исполнение спустя рукава, с полнейшим отсутствием креативности. Механик, кроме боя, как таковых считай нет, всё что мы делаем всю игру — либо бежим на звук, либо слушаем с какой стороны кряхтит наш враг и пытаемся угадать, в какой момент нужно поднять щит и ударить. Почему угадать? Потому что тайминги в игре очень неинтуитивные, и понять, для какого врага в какой момент нужно блокировать/бить — очень сложно, и зачастую это не сходится с логикой и рефлексами. А в игре есть только разделение по главам и никаких чекпоинтов — если вы очень долго бежали по локации, а потом не поняли, что делали не так во время боя (никаких подсказок никто вам не даст) — начинайте с начала главы.
Где-то посередине игры на одном из таких моментов мне это надоело. Сюжет безыдейный и неинтересный, задействовать воображение лично мне мешало полное отсутствие описаний (а ведь с нами бегает зрячая дочь!), креативного использования такого ограничения. как незрячесть нашего персонажа, я так и не дождался, поэтому решил не тратить своё время на допрохождение.
Лайк за идею, дизлайк за исполнение. Рекомендовать игру я, увы, не могу.
Ce jeu vaut le détour !
Déjà car peu de jeux sont 100% accessibles aux personnes malvoyantes/aveugles. Puis, parce que le gameplay est surprenant bien que simple.
En tant que voyant, c'est d'abord très perturbant d'être privé de vision, mais on s'y habitue vite (j'ai fermé les yeux la plupart du temps pour ne pas être distrait par mon environnement). Notre personnage avance, guidé par sa fille, puis les combats s'ajoutent à cette expérience nouvelle.
Tout au long du jeu, on imagine à quoi ressemblent les décors, guidés par l'ambiance sonore et les brèves descriptions faites par les personnages, ce qui était vraiment plaisant et rappelait les JDR.

Jeu très immersif, je n'ai jamais joué à un jeu sans graphisme!
Seul bémol, la mécanique reste la même: histoire -> marche de confiance -> action. Quand on meurt après l'action on doit refaire depuis le point de séquence histoire -> marche de confiance sans pouvoir passé les dialogue ce qui casse un peu le rythme du jeu.
J'ai eu du mal sur passage que j'ai du refaire à plus reprise. Ça devenait long de refaire le chemin pour ré-atteindre le point d'action.
Le principe d'aventure avec des déplacements guidés par le son est géniale. J'ai eu un peu de mal au début à me plonger dedans mais je ne regrette absolument pas d'avoir continuer !
From the text to speech until the main menu, to the start of the game, it made me nope out of it.
While it's important to have a game be accessible to those deficient, having that deficiency forced on every player makes for a ton of friction onboarding new players.
Didn't get further than the first 2 minutes of it, rest of the time played was letting it run for cards.

This is understandable, and not even remarkable, it's reflected in the overwhelming success of games that match great visual and audio design with equally immersive gameplay and gripping narrative.
But sometimes, in extremely rare situations, we can ignore this requirement for high visual fidelity. Like in "A Blind Legend", which is a game that has no visuals.
This is one of those rare games designed for the visually impaired, who are almost always shut out of the gaming experience.
In this game, you listen to audio queues and block, parry and attack your enemies as part of a sweeping 3D audio narrative experience.
So, while I firmly believe that games must be of the highest quality, yes, including visuals, this game supersedes that, because it's even more important that games must be accessible, especially to those who are otherwise denied the most.
Gaming is meant for everyone.

You know, I really wanted to like this game. I really commend a game that's trying to be unique and accessible to different people. I like the idea behind the game being based only on sound. The thing is THE GAME IS EXTREMELY AGGRAVATING. the UI is simplistic at best. Hundreds of times I'd put up the shield but the game wouldn't register the shield and I'd die. Also get REally tired of the Unskippable dialogue Every Time I Died. And the timing on the shield and the slashing NEVER made sense to me. It mostly felt like flailing and then sometimes it would work? But then I try the very same thing and it wouldn't work again. I just got really annoyed at the game. A very interesting idea and interesting story, but the gameplay itself was not well thought through, barely any help in the UI, and just annoying all around.
Super cool idea! I'm a really big fan of this game purely for the gameplay design aspect that opens up more people to different human experience. big fan.

J'ai acheté ce jeu car le nom m'intriguait, j'ai d'abord eu un peu peur en attendant la voix robotique du menu avant de prendre confiance en réalisant ce que j'avais devant moi. Le principe du jeu est tout bonnement incroyable, ce n'est pas tant un jeu vidéo mais un jeu audio, rien est montré (à part les logos des créateurs et sponsors ainsi que le logo du jeu lors de chargement), l'écran de fumé nous plonge directement dans cette expérience magnifique. Le gameplay est simple mais pourtant complètement renversant, et bon dieu qu'est ce que ça fait du bien. Enfin un jeu où de un le handicape est au centre et de deux où il n'est ni minimisé et outre passé par des capacité surhumaine, ni montré comme un poids qui empêche de faire quoique ce soit, mais bel et bien comme une caractéristique comme une autre du héro. Gros félicitation au studio pour ce magnifique jeu, studio qui plus est est français.
c'est un jeux très intéréssant qui nous met dans la peau d'un guerrier aveugle. les paterne sont plutôt simple à comprendre, il n'y a pas trop de touche à apprendre donc on est pas perdu si ont fait le jeux souvent. perso j'ai repris après plusieurs semaine et sa été compliqué de si retrouvé. c'est dommage qu'il n'y ai qu'un fond noir et rien qui nous permette d'imaginé un peut l'endroit ou nous somme, ainsi qu'une legende qui nous rapelle les touche même si la voix off le fait de temps en temps.

あとは音声のみでプレイしていくことになる。
だいたいのシーンでは「右だ」、「左だ」、「そのまままっすぐ」と誘導する人がいるので、誘導に従って移動しながら、QTEで危機を避けたり戦闘をする流れとなっている。
誘導がないときや戦闘では、環境音や敵の雄叫び、唸り声などを頼りに剣を振るっていくわけだ。
分かりにくく説明するならば、映像の出ない『Dragon's Lair』という感じだろうか。
コンセプトはとっても良く、それなりに面白いのだが、戦闘が難しいうえに死亡時の巻き戻しがシーン単位になるので、けっこう面倒くさい。
どのタイミングで剣を振れば攻撃が当たるのかは、耳で覚えるほかなく、死にながら学習しなければならないためだ。
お安めのヘッドホンを使っているためか、敵の位置を追うのも、それなりに難儀した。
目をつぶって神経を集中させ、一瞬のカウンターで敵を斬って捨てるのはなかなかに快感なのだが･･･。

I’ve only started playing, so this is just ~feedback~.
I did not at all appreciate being put in the first person experience of someone who would hit a kid.
I have PDA autism, and having that experience put on me without any option to not engage in that behavior is something that took my autonomy, and I immediately stopped playing. I will have to see if I am able to continue, but a lot of times the answer is no, especially when I can’t have any guarantee that that isn’t going to be a normal occurrence. What’s next, first person perspective of sexually harassing someone? 😒
Also, I think that kid should leave my ass in the forest now, so I’m not very committed to keeping my own self alive. So. Possibly DOA.

Block, parry and stab simulator for the blind. Cool and niche idea, but that's the only good part of the game. One of the more tedious experiences i had. Game isn't fun nor would I recommend it to anyone.
Experience interessante, mais comme beaucoup de personnes bloqués vers la fin à l'entrée du donjon, Impossible de passer et de comprendre ce qui est attendu. Et comme un bon DARK SOULS, il y a 6 minutes à refaire à chaque fois pour tenter un nouveau truc... au bout de 10 essais, je laisse tomber.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing.
Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side.
With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay.
After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like.
Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends.
Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together.
Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that.

the first ever 3D audio game I love. I bought this game to support the developer. keep up the good work guise.
The game concept is novel, but that's about all this game offers. I expected much more from the other aspects of game design with the lack of all visuals. The voice acting is fine, but the story is trite and predictable. The gameplay is slow and extremely repetitive. I feel there were many missed opportunities with the main mechanic and a general lack of creativity in how to implement the audio only way of interacting with the world. The saving checking points are extremely annoying, especially when you have to follow the girl over and over if you get something wrong.
Like I said, it's a cute concept, but I'm definitely not going to be replaying this game, and won't even look back at it as a fun experience.

На самом деле, не просто, конечно, полагаться лишь на звук, тем более, играя в недорогих наушниках, когда хорошо, если удается право от лева различить.
Тема, поднимаемая этой игрой, может быть развита, необычный эксперимент. Существует немало игр, где звук дополняет игры, но нет ни одной, где он был бы настолько же необходим, как и зрение.
А если по игре рассказать что-нибудь, то скучновато. Звуки так себе. Представьте себе готику без музыки, где убрали визуальный ряд и остались только дешевые, по современной оценке, звуки.
Актёры недоигрывают. Хоть какая-то услада в такой игре могла бы быть, так это голоса актеров и их отыгрыш. Ни того, ни другого тут нет. Шаблонные фразочки пресными голосами.
Геймплей простой, но в минусы не запишу, эксперимент всё-таки. Слушать, откуда на тебя нападают и бить в ту же сторону. И бежать на звук. Иногда слушать советы, куда уварачиваться на лошади.
Цените своё зрение. И раз уж есть возможность, играйте в игры, где есть на что смотреть.

Как и в любой фэнтези, путь будет долог и таит множество опасностей. Преодолевать их вам будет помогать дочь героя, берущая на себя роль поводыря.
В игре интересно реализована боёвка, учитывая вашу слепоту. Пока вы не понимаете где находится враг, закрываетесь щитом, а как только противник выдаст себя каким-либо звуком, наносите смертельный удар. Не всегда вовремя получается отразить удар. Но от того интереснее, что только подогревает азарт.
В общем, для меня игра стало уникальной. Подобного экспириенса я не получал. Ведь основа геймплея только звуки и ваше воображение. Мир вокруг вас постоянно меняется за счёт смена звукового сопровождения и антуража. И крайне рекомендую играть в хороших наушниках с объёмным звуком, ведь звук здесь это всё. Вы слышите всё, шаги, шелест травы, завывание ветра, хруст веток и многое другое. Да чёрт, даже дыхание человека рядом. По звукам вы можете понять где находитесь, будь это городская суета или степные просторы. Словами это не передать, лучше прочувствовать самому, погрузившись в тёмный мир слепого рыцаря.

概念是有趣的，但玩起來會覺得沒有甚麼反饋。
遊玩時會需要女兒的導引，但導引的時機有時很怪，導致可能沒有辦法避開障礙物。
或是要等他導引後才知道怎麼走，在此之前只能被動地等。雖然這可能比較能體驗盲人的狀況，但我自己不是很喜歡這種狀況，尤其是在狀況緊急的關卡，讓我感覺挺脫離故事的。
然後可能是我耳機不夠好、耳朵不夠好，或是遊戲本身音效設計的問題，有時候我覺得很難靠音效抓我要前進或做動作的方向，這才是玩這個遊戲讓我最頭痛的點。

Ironically, I (very quickly) grew bored to the game due the lack of any visuals(lol) but it is the coolest concept for a game I've ever seen in a while. It's most definitely well made and from what I've seen, the voice acting is phenomenal. So if you are very patient and looking for interesting games, this is definitely something I'd play. I even bought this back in 2020 and still find myself thinking about this game, tempted to play it again.

un relato que de principio a fin se siente completo con un guión cuidado que a final de cuentas nada más evidencia que fue creado con dedicación.
la jugabilidad es lo que destaca. sin glitch ni bugs, las mecánicas pensadas y creadas para personas en condición no-vidente y su gran trabajo de audio hacen que podamos vivir una experiencia que vale la pena sin caer en la monotonía y manteniendonos expectantes.
respecto al arte cabe destacar que ademas esta pensado para personas sin la condición no-vidente y por otro la música que esta muy bien pensada.
sin duda un juego increíble que nos recordara lo importante que es la imaginación mental, lo recomiendo "a ojos cerrados" jugar con las luces apagadas y audífonos.

The concept is interesting, but the rigid mechanics aren't enough to make it a good game.
It's still a unique experience that most games don't offer, and could have been better if they'd chosen to focus more on gameplay. The story is cool and the sound is very good.
For a small price, it's very interesting. Mind you, this is a game designed for the blind, so there's a lot of repetition involved.

Such a unique concept but there are so many things that they could have done better. That being said, maybe this game was strictly made for the vision impaired and in the case I guess there is only so much you need to include. Regardless, Here's a list of why this super unique experience falls way short:
1) The entire game you are looking at a smoking screen of nothing... which is fine because you are blind. However, WHY IN THE HELL DOES THE GAME NEED TO LOAD IF THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING ON THE SCREEN? On top of that, the Computerized narrator voice announces the "loading" and this alone really rips you right out of any immersion. Maybe this was meant as some sort of audio cue? Well.. This and the other audio cues should have been more of a natural representation of your character. We all talk to ourselves in our head as we go through our lives... Why is there none of that?
2) The game relies heavily on directional audio and in its current state is playable but sound quality and creativity leaves a lot to be desired. Especially in a game that is 100% dependent on audio. The game needed way better voice acting, way better sound design, and a way more creative approach to each encounter that truly leaves players with an unforgettable experience for their ears. Which leads me to my next point...
3) We play as a blind soldier guided through the story by sound. Accompanied by your daughter who is your "EYES" as you progress through the story. Which is a truly unique concept. Bravo for the concept and putting it all together. BUT... As I mentioned, you stare at a black and white screen filled with smoke... you can see it for yourself in the trailer video. I get that we are blind but this is a video game where the goal is to keep the players engaged. There is no creative effort to give the player any sort of visual references of how a blind person may use their other heightened senses to perceive the world around them. 5 senses right? You cant see OK.. and yes, there is directional audio that lead you to your objectives but no effort whatsoever is made to portray any other sense. To truly give this game some substance it would have been awesome for players to see some sort of visual representation of the sense of SMELL, TASTE, or TOUCH!
I would love to see a game with this concept given a more in-depth effort. This concept could really offer one of the most unique gaming experiences we have seen in a long time. Unfortunately, this isn't it.
I'm sorry, but I found the combat unintuitive, and approximative, and there is sooo much of it... Also, the instructions were unclear, it took me multiple times of restarting a chapter (let's say it took me 2 minutes to get where I was again, everytime) before I could even understand what was expected of me.
Seriously, there's a LOT of combats... And you are fighting multiple dudes and animals, it's not just one or two... It is 5 or 6 at a time. This knight is obviously a badarse, and I do not dislike that, but I did not feel like it made for a good experience.
To tell you everything, the game "Final Fight" came to mind, right before I decided to stop playing. I feel like "A Blind Legend" (that I will be calling "ABL" from now on) is an old school beat 'em up from the late 80's, in terms of gameplay. And that's just not what I was looking for.
I think a more engaging story, and more interesting character interactions could have solved my problems (more exactly, they could have helped me push through a little harder than I did). But I aknowledge that those were my expectations, and that ABL was not that game. I actually liked the voices (in French), they were completely fine considering what the actors had to work with, and I liked the concept of travelling with your daughter and her helping you. I wish the devs could have been more confident in their storytelling skills and had given the voice actors more material to play with, but as I said maybe ABL was never meant to be that kind of game.
This game is an interesting proof of concept, and you should most probably try it for yourself anyway, if you feel at all attracted to the idea of playing a game that's audio only (I have yet to play others like it, but apparently there are a handful).

[h1] Good idea but that's all it is[/h1]
The idea is there but everything else is just executed poorly. When you start the game you're imemdiately greeted with MS text-to speak voice so it ruins the immersion. Story is as shallow as Super Mario (the very first one) but instead of a plumber you play as a blind knight and then for some unknown reason they kidnap your wife and you have to go rescue her with many encounters along your way. Your guide on the way is your daughter who is as useless,cold and annoying as Ashley in RE4. The opportunity for some kind, heartwarming dialogue between you and your daughter is completly missed and it feels so shallow and artificial .Let me give you an example from the game: In one part of the game you'll walk on[b] THE EDGE OF A CLIFF[/b] with her and she just runs off somewhere in the distance then waits for you, so you're forced to constantly press spacebar so she guides you to where she is?! Like brah [b] I'M BLIND [/b] how about you make sure I don't fall over and die by either covering my back from the potential attack or walking slowly beside me, not just speeding somehwere off in the distance and then yell: Father over here! 🙄😑 The whole game can be sumamrized as: It's QTE with some walking sim mixed in and if you hate them, then avoid this game. If you're curious (for some weird reason) how it feels to be blind or if you just wanna appreciate the power of sight (yes it shouldn't be taken for granted) then you can blindfold yourself at almost any time you want at home and try it IRL. Best of all - It's free.

Game is completely accessible for blind players. I was unable to get controller support to work, but, overall, a good way to spend an afternoon. Hopefully more a11y games will be developed in the future.
