公的にWizardryの冠を付けたウィズライクは初めてプレイしましたが
あまり混ぜて語られる事の無い理由が色々分かった気はします。
まぁ出来は酷いもんで、これで「革命」とか言ってるのが最高にギャグですね。
全キャラでしっかりクリアまでプレイをしたのでしっかり文句を言います。
まず最初に触れてみて、すぐに『プレイヤーにとっての不快要素が全く排除されておらず、調整もされていない』という印象から始まりましたが
これは最後まで覆る事はありませんでした。
調整とかそういうレベルでどうこうってソフトじゃないです。
『最後までプレイ出来た』というのはこのレベルの出来のソフトであれば驚くべき部分かも知れません。
一応土台は『Wizardryのようなもの』なので、その一点のみが強かったですね。
このソフトは全ての要素に関して練り込みが無く、思い付きをそのまま突っ込んで
全く調整していない様な設計で作られています。
未調整、未チェック、バグだらけで完成品には遠く及ばない状態です。
10年以上前の作品の様ですが、今の目で昔の作品を見ての判断では無く、当時の感覚でも全てにおいて雑であり劣悪。
2000年代どころか1980年代でもダメだろこれ、という要素が満載です。
このゲームの制作に携わった方々はWizardryのナンバリングシリーズとかやってみることをオススメします。
参考になると思いますよ。
・UI周り
まずsteamで提供する、何度も繰り返しリトライする作品で最初にSTARTボタンのみ反応対象、というのも
やる人間の事を全く考えていない、というのが分かります。
画面切り替えにはフェードイン/アウト処理、ほか全ての処理には細かいウェイトが必ず入っており、
あらゆる動作を重く・悪く・不快にしています。
メッセージを送るだけでも遅く、本当に全てモッサリしている。
画面切り替えやウィンドウを出した際にも当然ウェイトが入っているのですぐには動かせない・選べない…となり
選んだものを押したつもりがすぐ上か下にある別のコマンドを選択してしまう。
戦闘時は、頻繁に使うキャラのスキルも『下から二番目』という位置にある為
ある程度慣れればそこを選ぶのに↑を二回押してスキルを使おうとしますが、
ウェイトが挟まるのでその下の「逃げる」を選んでしまう事も多々…
このウェイトは固定値では無く、ゲーム自体もプレイを続けるとどんどん重くなったり意味不明の素人動作を始めるので
多重処理のせいかやけに重くなる事の多いバンパイアクィーン戦では何度も間違えて「逃げる」を選択しリセットしました。
メッセージ送りも含め全ての処理が遅いのに、不意打ち時には『不意打ちされた側の全てのリアクション』という
早い話が『何もしていません/出来ません』という表記をわざわざ一人一人分全て表示
『一匹の敵が攻撃をミスした』、というだけの説明に全く行動出来ない他全員の状況説明が延々流れ、
全く読む意味の無いモノを延々メッセージ送りをさせられるので
何も無くても鬱陶しい/何かあっても他のメッセージが邪魔で読みにくい、という良い事の一つも無い仕様になってます。
プレイ時間の半分以上はウェイト待ちが占めてるんじゃないですかねコレ。
コマンドウインドウの配置、呼び出しも構造・設計が凡雑で取っ散らかっており、定まっていない。
『何でここでキャンセルボタン押してそうなるんだよ！』となる事が多々
階層化されてわざわざいくつにも分けてあるのでプレイ時間が長くなっても中々慣れません。
キャラの選択が場所によって十字キーであったりLRであったり固定されていないので非常に分かり難く、
十字キー選択動作だけでも上下・左右ループの設定がおかしいので感覚的には非常に使い難い
街中メニューでの「迷宮入口」を選ぶと「探検する」という訳の分からないコマンドが一度入るのも意味不明
そのまま入れる迷宮の一覧を出せば良いだけだし、これが有る事によって迷宮から戻った際にも「探険する」という選択肢のみの画面になる
ある意味も無いしあれば邪魔なだけな意味不明コマンド。
街中で鑑定や呪文使用が出来て便利かな？と思いきやキャラの集金、分配等は店に入っている状態でしか出来ない、等
本っ当に何も考えていない。
施設によっての出来る事、出来ない事の配置位置がおかしいんです。
基本仕様設計が存在せず、『仮データ突っ込んでそのまま何の調整もせずに製品化しちゃいました』という感じ
こういう物は何か特定のボタンを押したらコレが出る、引っ込む、を元々あるものに被せるのではなく、一定のボタンで切り替える様に作るものです。
・シナリオ/キャラクター
デモ画面？でまず壮大なクソどうでもいいバックグラウンドが延々語られます
これがまた、紀元前から始まってやれナントカ族がどうとか国がどうだ、大陸がこうだ…とゲーム本編には本当に全く一切関係無い話
オタク中学生の設定ノート読み聞かされてる様な気分になります。
その話を最初に流して、このゲームが何か面白くなるんでしょう？
プレイしてて「なるほど！」ってなる様な展開一つでもゲーム内にありますっけ？
このゲームのバックグラウンドって『なんか最近魔物出て来たんだよね』ってだけの話なんですよ。
大昔の駄作OVAとかこういう始まり方する奴多かったですね。
ゲーム内でのメインストーリーはまぁそこまで珍しい物でもなく、可も無し不可も無し、的な感じですが
出て来るキャラが中途半端にクドいキャラに固定されているのが良く分からない。
肉体派だとか頭脳労働が得意、みたいな種族的に大まかな説明ならまだ分かりますが、
趣味がガーデニング、とか守銭奴である、とか全く意味の無い無駄なキャラ付けが多く、それも最初登場した時に説明されるだけ。
しかも全てのキャラ設定が上滑りしていて取って付けた感が物凄い。
一応本編内キャラ別クエストで僅かに台詞がありますが、そのクドいそのキャラ設定を生かしていたり面白かったりという事は全く無く、
エンディング後も『結局お前の設定どうなったんだよ！？』というツッコミしか入らず、
『ただゲーム開始の初手でプレイヤーの感情移入を妨げる邪魔』にしかなっていません。
最初にボーナスポイントで好きにキャラ作成できるゲームで職業まで固定で文章作ってあるあたりも本当に酷いですね
戦士作ってゲーム始めたらモノローグで「盗賊である」とか紹介される。
キャラ絵はそれなりに綺麗ではありますが、
デカい斧を構えているドワーフ男女、一応種族専用武器でドワーフ女性時に似ても似つかぬ片刃斧が報酬で貰えるが
それ以外の『斧』は一切出て来ないし、
ハリー〇ッターまんまのノーム男性も片手杖を構えていますが、このゲームには両手杖しか出て来ない。
絵の発注もマトモに出来て無いじゃないですか。
全キャラ中、何故かエルフの男女だけ知り合い設定されてますが
これも先にエルフ男性で初めてしまうと何を言ってるのか意味が分からない。
『こちらの全く知らないキャラに悪態をついてるだけのキャラ』という訳のわからんキャラになります。
こういうのは読む側が設定なんて知らなくても話としては理解出来、後から意味が分かるとなるほど！となる様に構成するものです。
それとも知り合いな訳じゃなくて只のメタネタでしょうか？
キャラ絵はそれなり…と言いましたが、種族・性別につき1種類(色違いで+1)のみ、というのは只の手抜き
しかも後登録の通常キャラは主人公との色違いしか無く…
同じ種族で並べようと思うと変にキャラが立ってどう見ても同一人物だろ？ってキャラ絵がズラリと並ぶ
わざわざ目パチや状態異常を表情で入れる位なら2種類でも選べた方が遥かにマシです。
どんな職業にもつけるゲームでキャラ性を前面に出したり武器担いでるキャラ絵はおかしいと思わなかったんでしょうか？
音声は正直うるさいだけで、壁に当たっただけで全員ギャーギャー言い出して物凄くやかましい
逃げるのに失敗しただけでいきなりバカデカい声でギャーっと叫び出すので相当びっくりしましたよ。
出来の悪いギャルゲみたいで、開始10分経たない内に全てOFFにしました。
と言うかこれ、音量調節が一切行われてませんよね？
バカみたいにデカい声で喋るPCキャラ、「え？今喋った？」てレベルの小さい声のNPC
PCもNPCもキャラによって、どころか台詞単騎で音声の量はバラバラ
しかもフルボイスでうっかり一部データが未調整、とかでも無く、
適当な音声を状況に合わせて一言喋らせるだけのお手軽音声なのに音量調整すら出来て無い。
演じた方々もこんな扱いにされて本当に可哀想だなと
どんなに真面目に良い演技をしてたってデータ扱う奴が何も考えて無いんだもの。
まぁこの要素に限らず、全てにおいて『素人がRPGつくってみた』みたいな精度ですが。
NPCはちゃんとしているか？と言うと、こちらもややおかしく
冒険者見習いのキャラが一人で鼻歌混じりに未開の高レベルダンジョンを彷徨っていたり、
ソレが一応歴戦の勇士扱いの主人公パーティを助けたり…と、頭の悪いメアリー・スーみたいな御都合キャラが普通に不快。
プレイヤーが6人で何とか辿り着いた場所に一人で現れて
(このゲームって一回行った場所にしかテレポート出来ない設定がわざわざ説明されるけど、アイテム使用でもそこまで来たって事は一人でそこまで到達してたんだよね？)、
しかもその後一人で歩いて帰る。
コメディリリーフというのはうっかりすると主人公や世界そのものをショボく見せるので使い方が凄く難しいんです。
『王の側近レベルのお偉い方が宿屋に一人で泊まって忘れ物をしていった』というのもあったけど、ギャグシナリオか何かですか？
アイテム説明をすべきキャラが説明をせず、『俺はこんなキャラだぜ』テキストを垂れ流すのも意味が分からない
基本システム部分の最低限必要な説明を自己満キャラ設定で削ってフォローする要素すらない。
このゲーム、取説もチュートリアルも無いんですよ。知ってました？
宿屋の女主人や寺院のシスターが途中からいきなり萌えゲーみたいなキャラ変してしまう理由も全く分からない。
何でいきなりメイド喫茶みたいになってるの？
何でしょうかねこれ、シナリオ書いてる時に熱でも出してたんでしょうか。
フラグ管理も雑でめちゃくちゃ
複数のシナリオデータを纏めてリリースした作品の様ですが、
最初に追加シナリオ用の会話も全部開放してあるので初プレイでは本当に意味不明
開幕、最初に深層エリアの説明を聞いてしまうと物凄い熟練の手練れみたいな扱いを受け
その後に話しかけると何だ新人かよ、みたいな扱いをされる。
初登場キャラが「また会いましたね」とか言い出してみたり、
会話の順番を間違えるとクエストこなした後で初めて会ったみたいな事を言い出す。
こういう部分がドッチラケ率をガンガン上げてくれます。
クエストシナリオに関しては何をどうしたらクリア、とされている割には報告先ではもう終わった扱いになってて受け付けてくれなかったりとチグハグ
条件設定もドロップ率等何も考えずに設定してある様な感じですかね…
『クエストレベル』なるものが表記されてますが全くアテにならないし、
キャラ作って最初の必須クエストでうっかりしたら数時間はかかります。
ドロップ率の「寄り」が本当に酷く、一度寄ってしまうとレア扱いのアイテムが連続でいくつも出る一方、
最初期クエスト用のドロップアイテムが10戦20戦しても一つも落ちない、等と言う事にもなります。
・戦闘バランス
いやー酷いっすねーこれ…Wizardryっぽいのは最初の1階層くらいかな？
2,3階層降りて出て来た(モンスター紹介では大したことの無い、楽に倒せるだろう、と書いてある)
戦士に開幕MAXHPの数倍のダメージ受けて死にました。
うっかり強すぎる所に入ったのかな…？とも思ったけどどうも違う様で、中盤以降は
「殴られたら死ぬ」というか「敵の先制攻撃がヒットしたら死ぬ/全滅」というバランス。
一応ロードで全員を守り、ビショップの不思議バリアを張って進め、という事らしいのでそれで進めましたが
その2職業が無いと全く話にならないので自由度は皆無。
不思議バリアも、敵の攻撃が複数対象の場合は途中まで耐えて壊れる…という仕様ですが
これだとHPの少ない後衛がまず死ぬって気付きませんでした？
バリアが必須になる辺りではどうせ一撃しか防げないのだから、範囲攻撃も一発分として処理するべき物でしょうね。
レベルを上げればマシになりますが、マシになる程レベルを上げると、もうそのレベルで何するの？となる程のレベル。
このゲームは基本システムのレベル差補正依存が非常に高いせいか、
バカみたいにレベルを上げ、強い扱いの職業で固めててゴリ押しする、というスタイルしか通用しないので戦闘としての面白みは正直全くありません。
アイテムも何もかも全て日本語表記なのに何故か呪文だけは英字表記。なんでやねん
任意で呪文名変更でも出来ればまだマシでしたがそんな気の利いた機能はこのソフトには無し。
呪文の説明テキストはカーソルを合わせると表示されますが、
この説明テキストがこれまた酷い
脳神経を刺激して～とか自己満感満載のバカを煮詰めた様な説明テキストが延々書き連ねてあり、
最も必要な『何が起こるのか、どういう呪文なのか』という説明は大量の駄文に埋まってほんの僅かに1行あるか無いかで本当に分かり難く、読み難い。
戦闘時のリアクション説明垂れ流しもそうですが、全てにおいて取捨選択が全く出来ていない。
中二病のオタクにでもテキスト書かせたんですか？コレ？
イベントボスには雑魚データをそのまま突っ込んであるので、
キャラによっては運良くドロップアイテムを引き当てればラスボス付近までは超ヌルゲーになり、
逆に運が悪いとレベルだけ上がってもカスみたいな装備のままなのでどうにもならない
いやほんと何も考えて無いｗ
攻撃面は侍の範囲攻撃が他の全てを圧倒していてアタッカーは侍のみで十分、というか侍以外がアタッカーとして成立していない。
このゲームのシステムではこれまで武器性能が『攻撃回数に＋される』仕様だったのが『攻撃回数の上限』という訳の分からない変更がなされており
どんなに強くなっても基本的に攻撃の強さ＝武器の強さ
つまり職業適応した強い武器が無ければ全くどうしようもない仕様。
過去シリーズでは、攻撃面では前衛系・後衛系は攻撃回数で分けられていたのですが、
それが消滅したのでスキル的な優位性ゼロの戦士の攻撃力は司祭や僧侶にも劣ります。
(1ターン待って〇〇は1ターンでほぼ全て決まるこのゲームでは全くの無意味)
君侍侍侍忍司でプレイしろ、という事なんでしょうな
無課金で課金前提のソシャゲでもやらされてる気分になります。
戦闘開始時の「一歩後ろに下がる」演出も「戦闘後一歩前へ出る」という処理が入り
迷宮探索中に「あれ今前に進んだ！？」となる
システムなのでこういうものだ、と理解していても感覚的に前に進まれればどこの位置か分かり難くなるんだよね。
壁を背にして戦闘を開始すると後ろに下がった際に背景のパネルが切れてしまい、床が黒抜きになっている事も
いやほんと全部雑ですねこれ。
バグも散見され、

別主人公をパーティーメンバーに入れてセーブすると、カーソルが最後にセーブした進行中の主人公ではなく、
メンバーに加えた主人公に合った状態で開始される。
当然別主人公のパーティーに参加しているのでそのデータでは始められない
(稀に発生せず正しいセーブデータにカーソルが合っている場合もあるが、本当にごく稀)
何度もセーブ/ロードを繰り返しプレイするゲームでこの手のバグは致命的。
発売からこれだけ経ってて、こんな酷いバグ放置してるってのが有り得なく無いですか！？
この糞バグがあるので、要素の一つである「他主人公をPTに入れる」というのは
基本全く使えない要素になってます。

…と言うかコレは元々のキャラ絵が合成失敗データで、目パチの時だけ本来のデータが一瞬表示されてる状態。
グラフィック担当がデバッグしてたら秒で発見しますよこんなバグ
・ポークル男女も額の宝石が輝くアニメーション…のつもりなんでしょうが、
目パチのアニメーションセルに合わせて表示しているので目パチに合わせてゴミが出ている様にしか見えない
これなら光らせない方がちゃんと見えます。
・ヒドラのグラフィックはイラスト発注用の仮データか何かですか？
・照明の魔法を使うと『明るくなる』ではなく『明度が上がるだけ』です
これが照明を灯した表現なんですか？初代PSのリメイク版でもまだもう少し良い表現してましたよ？
・戦闘中以外で状態異常で最後尾に配置されたキャラを治癒させても隊列が元に戻らない
・イベント報酬アイテムを普通に敵がドロップするのに、売却も廃棄も不可
処分するにはダミーキャラに持たせてキャラごと消すしか無い

敵が魔法やスキル？を使用した際、どう見てもこちらから敵に向けて撃っているアニメーションが表示されるのもバグでしょう
魔法のアニメーションエフェクトを使い回しているだけ、なのでしょうが只勘違いを誘発するだけの意味の分からん仕様で、誰に魔法がかけられたのか余計分かり難くなる。
なんかウィズっぽい作業ゲーで無駄に時間を溶かしたい、という人にはひょっとしたらオススメ出来るかも知れません。

Um clássico que não tive chance de jogar, um pouco caro fora de promoção e é necessário olhar a pagina da comunidade para algumas dicas...
Joguei 10 horas seguidas sem enjoar então recomendo como um bom jogo casual.
only get this game if you don't mind grinding for levels.
the story quests are kinda broken and you are kind of confused on what to do. for some reason the actual main storyline makes you backtrack to previous floors so playing without a guide will make you feel confused on why do you have to go back to floor 3 when you are already at floor 8.
some enemies can instant defeat you. like right now i'm level 25 and the ninjas and rouges on floor 6 can just instant defeat my mage with one shot.
i gave up on this game when it was released on PS3 and bought it again when it was release for PC.
I wish they fixed the broken quest line but left it as is.
There are no much information in english about this game so makes the game mysterious.
Even so I am enjoying this game is relaxing to just do while watching a TV show and grind away.
You can instant reset the game if you get a party wipe to just restart just L R START SELECT.
Save scumming is bad but unfortunately unless you want to go back to town all the time is needed.
I hope the keep bringing the renaissance titles.
Also plays well on the steamdeck.
it is a basic "remake/re-imagening"
which is what you have to keep in mind
the game runs at (i think) 30 fps (or HZ?), sports basic 2D art
but let us be real: no one plays this genre because of the graphics
nice art- and color-work are nice to have always
i mean the Eclipse remake of Wizardry 1 is the standart when it comes to audio-visual presentation but in a genre that is a) niche and b) only for "core"-gamers (numbers all the way) there ain't a lot of budget going around
and sadly indie-devs think they gotta re-invent the genre (mostly by killing the core, aka the numbers, grind and complexety)
also the license for the IP is a bit weird, which is why you find the original IP in a western style (DnD oriented) and then the odd (or new) games beeing more anime/mange oriented
i prefer the western style, but one can live with the animification of the IP; again: it is not about the looks
Labyrinth of Lost Souls does right what it needs to: the gameplay
it is the building ontop of the things that made Wizardry 1 so great
the character-system is already progressed; multi-classing (aka class-changes) are a must have and a study of it's own; just like it needs to be
the item pool is expanded and big; like realy big
when you are somewhat bored by new age crpgs this might be for you
it is not about the story (there is barely one in this genre), it is not about the characters (see the story), it is more a Diablo/PoE-style of gameplay loop
you build craft your 6 man team (and/or a 7th char, aka the identify bishop; but frankly the class can be in your active team this time around), you level em up, switch classes, level up more and collect all the loot
combat will stay rather simple (like it should be) early on, only getting more involved when enemies start dishing out real damage; which is when you will start erecting barriers, caring about buffs/debuffs, etc.
reviews complaining about the lack of QoL improvements are a bit wrong/overblown
about the only real lack i see is a 1 button skip ahead in combat; you can auto-attack but you still need to confirm every combat popup either by keeping the button pressed or pressing it once per pop up
for oldschoolers: this is a lot more forgiving than the original ip
no one liked drawing maps (yeah i know: you loved it) and there is a perfectly fine working auto-map
you can (limited to MP) free-warp within a floor later on, you can emergency tp out of the dungeon later on
you party can still die and it probably will a couple of times. a trap-disarm going wrong? dead (petrefication: gotta love it), or forgot to erect a barrier in combat? forgot to nuke the dangerous caster? dead.
if you do not know the genre think not about games were you name and learn to like your party
you got one goal: clear all the dungeons
you team is a tool; you want this tool to be strong enough to survive and own
love it
wish this genre would get more attention or atleast indie teams that understand that you need to keep the grind in, the character-building and the loot-mountain

Ursprünglich 2009 in Japan erschienen und später für PS3 und PC lokalisiert, bleibt dieser Teil der legendären Wizardry-Serie der klassischen Formel treu – gitterbasiertes Erkunden, rundenbasierte Kämpfe, zufällige Begegnungen und eine gnadenlose Schwierigkeit. I haven't played any wizardry games before, so I can't rate this game as a Wizardry game.
That said, my experience in this game has been great.
Yes, late game balance is questionable, and you'll need to save scum a lot. And playing with a loot spreadsheet on hand and general strategy guide is recommended.
However, this game scratch the right kind of itch that I've been having: an anime style dungeon crawler with a grimy atmosphere and "just right" amount of difficulty, which I found lacking in other similar series like Etrian Odyssey or other spins on the Wizardry franchise.

潜れば潜るほど、バランス調整がひどく、一撃死が頻発。それゆえこまめなセーブが必要だが、同時に緊張感をなくし、探索ではなく単なる作業になる。また、アイテムドロップ率が低すぎるし、実績解除の討伐実績もゲーム内容に比較して多すぎる。
本家ＷＩＺと比べると、劣るのは明白。残念です。

This is a very, very, very solid DRPG (blobber). If you enjoy these types of games just get it. Decent price, fun game, time well spent.
I played this game on my OG 1st Gen iPad years ago, and I still own the iPad and have it installed. It was the only app I payed for on my iPad. I only ever completed one character story, but with the achievements and the ease of playing on the computer as opposed to the iPad, I'm planning to play through them all and gain all the achievements.
As a huge fan of the Wizardry franchise, I found this to be a fun installment. It keeps to the spirit of the game while adding some interesting things. If you are familiar with the original franchise, especially the first 5 games, you will notice a lot of the same elements here, including character classes, random loss of stats on level gain, and alignments; but you will also find some new and interesting things.
Your characters can be distracted in battle or even faint when hit. The Bishop grows way more quickly. (If anyone remembers the original games, the Bishop's growth is extremely slow). Your Bishop can become frustrated with trying to identify (appraise, in this case) an item and not want to try identifying for a while. Spells are a bit different and have much more of a range of strengths and weaknesses against monster types. Items list out their bonuses and weaknesses much better than the original games did. There is the inclusion of maps for sections of each dungeon, which is very nice. No need to cast a spell to see where you are or where you're going (DUMAPIC, anyone?), although I did enjoy hand mapping out the old games on graph paper. (I still have my hand-drawn maps).
All-in-all, it's a great Wizardry experience. For those not too familiar with the games, it's a good intro point; though if you do start here, it may be hard to get into the old Wizardry games. For those who have Wizardry experience, it's as enjoyable as the original series with some great updates to make the game more playable.

(tpk in the starter dungeon for woot) advice for all you people having gold trouble with the inn get a priest in your party the 0 gold rest option restores all spell slots, then go to your magic tab and heal up the party with spells sleep for free to get back spells and bam back to getting maimed for gold loot and glory. also until your party is about level 5 stay near-ish the dungeon entrance for quick retreat to go and heal up in town
I really wanted to give Wizardry a chance because I like dungeon crawlers... when they are fun, but this is pretty boring overall.

There are some big issues with progression and balancing. Pertinent equipment upgrades are seemingly impossible to work towards. Drop rates are all over the place, you will either get some things well beyond what you should have at your level and steam roll the rest of the game, or spend the entire game getting nothing at all worthwhile and stuck using really underpowered gear while struggling tooth and nail at every encounter all the way through.
For example, hilariously, I killed the final boss in 2 hits because of this. Even though at the same time, it was also killing off my entire party in 2 hits unless I got unlucky and it decided to nuke us on the first turn. So the battle itself came down to a completely busted 2-turns of rng overkill where either it dies first, or I do.
Quests objectives were also very hard to find. Clues are either very vague or just nonexistent to begin with. You could also very easily explore beyond where you were intended by accident, then trigger a main story quest later that wants you to backtrack to the 3 floors you just cleared to find an unmarked objective somewhere in those 1,200 tiles. Finding a needle in a hay stack is probably an understatement. I've had similar problems with that before like the heavenly orb in the original Shin Megami Tensei, but 80's and 90's dungeon crawlers get hardware limitations as an excuse. This was a PS3 game though so It's hard to think it was anything other than poor decisions or shortsightedness.
Other complaints would be: lack of boss fights, a bizarre lack of items in the shop, not really being rewarded for grinding, and being punished too heavily for literally no reason like when your levels are stolen on the first turn by a group of arch demons.
The game might sound pretty bad based on all these things, but I had a lot of fun with it regardless and got at least a few dozen hours out of it. The art and sound design in particular were really appealing to me.
In the end, it's Wizardy, it's Japanese; it's Japanese Wizardry. There is enough to enjoy here for old school dungeon crawler enthusiasts, just be prepared for some pain. I honestly want more of it though and would love to see the sequel translated sometime.
It is a lovely game, you will love it if you are a fan of old school dungeon crawler.

I don't understand why it seems to be the case that developers assume masochists are the only people who will buy and a play a dungeon crawler.
While this game does have a nice coat of paint and the fig leaf of a couple of accessibility features, your experience with this game will basically be: assemble party, go into dungeon, get mauled by one of the first few random encounters, go back into town and see that you can't afford to heal and immediately realize that nothing has really changed in the genre since 1981.
They didn't even have the decency to build in an automap feature (yes you can buy/find maps but all these do is turn on automapping for a floor at the cost of inventory space that you also don't have).
I'd avoid unless you enjoy pushing through frustration and grinding.
Probably not a great game unless you're super into wizardry, but it's addicting if you have ADHD and enjoy spending hours doing the same action like me tho
Out of all the Wizardry games I have played here on Steam, I initially didn't expect this one to be my favorite (so far). I'm more akin to things w/ the retro aesthetic, especially in these style of dungeon crawlers. However, this game as far as the gameplay goes, just works best for me when compared to the others. A big difference with this one is that it came out much later than the original western games and was a Japanese made game originally for the PS3.
Now, praise aside, it does have its issues, but none of them are game breaking once you get the hang of things. And while this is also brutally punishing at times, it's somehow a bit more manageable and being able to save as often as you want to, allows you to not suffer too greatly when your party opens a trapped chest and gets yeeted out of existence.
I also like the anime style characters and presentation and it just works, even tho, as I said, I'm more keen on the older style of western Wizardry games. But with all these things I've said, I guess the best sign of how much I have enjoyed this game is that I have already put over 50 hours into it in under a few weeks.
I really wanted to love this game, i really did. I do love dungeon crawlers, but i hate when the whole difficulty of a game is based around unreasonably insane RNG. When i take my time to create a party, envision their roles and classes they have and what they will do in combat, and than the game decides that 6 levels in a row my Dwarven Warrior will lose Vitality and Strength and gain Inteligence and Piety.
Sadly i cant recommend this game cause in my opinion its not a good Dungeon Crawler, if someone reads this and does not mind insane RNG that ruins your party, and makes your characters weak and useless than go ahead, otherwise steer clear of this title and maybe instead take a look at Etrian Odyssey.
Also its kinda hilarious how this games description says Your Party, Your Way in Key Features, when it actually takes all of Your Way out of the game, cause you have no control over the party.

Whether it's leveling up, changing classes, gathering money for tithing, or acquiring new weapons and armor, [b]it does the basic job of a dungeon crawler very well.[/b] This, along with my silly little headcanons, kept me going until the end of the main game. [b]As a Wizardry game should, you have to fight tooth and nail for victory here.[/b] When the difficulty starts rolling it is quite fun, and really tests your mettle and strategy in a very Wizardry-esque way. [b]Every class is useful.[/b] Basic classes are not bad just because they're basic classes, they have skills that are on par with advanced classes as well.

[b]It feels quite sloppily made and not very intentional.[/b] Most of the [b]floor traps seem very redundant[/b] due to the easily accessible automap feature, which has no cost at all unless it is from an Arcane Map spell, which you really won't be using much when you have item maps. [b]Quests also feel quite sloppy and random[/b], though you can usually tell where quest locations are due to the shape of the room. But there are exceptions, and for those I just used a GameFAQs guide. [b]Early game is also quite easy[/b], and it does not feel very Wizardry. Once you start getting into about the fourth floor of Shiin's dungeon, however, it picks up and starts getting a lot better. [b]Lots of mechanics aren't explained[/b], one especially frustrating one is how reviving at the temple reduces the VIT stat by 1. Perhaps this is an adaptation of how the Di spell in Wizardry 1/2/3 reduced VIT by 1 as well, but when reviving at the temple in those games it certainly did not. [b]Portraits are very limited[/b], and characters with duplicating graphics are almost bound to be made.
[h2]If you are looking for a very simple dungeon crawler to scratch that itch, I would say that this game can suffice. It certainly did for me. However, I think there are lots of other potentially better options, especially for newcomers.[/h2]
Update: The final achievement for completing all other achievements will not unlock. I absolutely cannot recommend this game to ANYONE.
This game is a more forgiving dungeon crawler than something like Proving Grounds. However, it has *maybe* 40 hours of real content. If you play this game without a guide, good luck. The quests are bare bones, and the directions are vague to the point of being opaque.
Many people complain about character creation and stat rolls. but that really isn't an issue if you just play the game. Max rolling on character creations is unnecessary, and promoting characters is the best way to get stronger. However, the game makes no effort to explain this to players new to the genre.
I can only recommend this game to players who love the grind. You will grind floors for levels. You grind mobs for loot. And finally, if you're stubborn like me, you will grind for pointless kills and hours just to get all of the achievements. I will have idled around ~150 hours just to get the final achievements of this game.
If you buy this game, do yourself a favor and find a quest guide and loot table. Read up on classes and their requirements beforehand. You should be able to save yourself lots of frustration and aimless wandering.

Cant recommend this game for these reasons:
1] Empty rooms all over that do nothing.
2] Treasure chests that are empty.
3] No boss fights on every floor.
4] Boring. Not much going on in each level.
5] Secret doors that go to nothing.
6] Losing stats on level up.
7] Weird alignment system is frustrating.
8] Waste of time appraising and failing and goto temple to remove fear for 3g to do it over and over 10 times?
This game is bad. Avoid it. Sorry team.

A pretty good introduction to the mechanics and brutality of Wizardry, with some changes that make it friendlier to the newcomer or more casual player, but might annoy the grognards.
So what’s new? Of course there’s the controversial anime aesthetic, but it’s hardly the most weeaboo art style you’ll find in a DRPG—far from it. I found it nice, if a bit jarring against the more western design of the monsters, and I liked that they blink, have different expressions, and even have lines of dialog. They feel much more alive than your standard static portraits.
The biggest change is the inclusion of a “leader” character. Unlike classic Wizardry where everyone is expendable, this character needs to be in the party. This means you’ll never get the classic TPK where your characters are dead in the dungeon until you rescue them (or not); instead, on a TPK, your party is teleported to the temple. But the dead-ash-lost system is still here, and your leader can actually be lost, resulting in a game over. It’s a pretty fundamental change, and in practice it usually means recovering from a TPK is much simpler, but that risk is always there.
Mitigating the risk of losing your leader is the ability to save anywhere. It’s an option, unlike the leader system, so you can choose to save scum, or save only in town, or save after every battle regardless of outcome. For such a simple feature it does let you tune your experience quite a bit.
Classes all have special skills here, which are pretty cool—lords can absorb physical damage for the party, bishops/priests can cast magic walls that block both physical and magic attacks, fighters can charge a triple attack. While these are fun, they’re so powerful and cost so little that you’ll probably use them in every battle. Elminage Gothic had a skill-point system, and something like that here might make the player more selective about using them.
Other than that, a lot of this game is familiar Wizardry—dangerous dungeon crawling where each new floor promises greater loot and even more danger. Definitely worth the price if you like DRPGs, especially on sale.
The game is completely shoddy. No proper balancing. Awful RNG. I am so sick of people making games where everything is just RNG. Control Alt Delete, over and over again because of lazy programmers who can program random numbers but cant write a story or balance a game. Not worth $1.

歴代数々のWizシリーズを遊んできたが
ダンジョン内の視認性がわるすぎて一つ先の扉も見逃す
唯一の作品です。
マップ表示もなぜか極端に制限されており
魔法でマップ確認ができるのがかなり後半のFreeWarpのみ。
手持ちの「地図」アイテムを使えば見られると思いきや
使っても何も起こらず。これはバグでしょうか？
上記の理由で、今時完全に自力でマッピングしなくてはいけない上に
視認性の悪さと似たような作りだらけでめちゃくちゃ迷子になる。
過去作なら何度も通ればそのうち構造が頭に入っていたので
本作特有の問題点だと思います。
決してキレイではないグラフィックに
シンプルな画面構成なのにもかかわらず
動作がとても重くていちいち引っかかる。
単純にプログラムの拙さを感じます。
総じて遊びにくいのでWizardryをご所望であれば
別作品を検討することをオススメします。
Lets start by saying I've been playing the original North American release Wizardry games, all of them, since they were coming out on 5 1/4" floppy disks in the very early 80's and I have thousands of hours on these games. I also spent a couple of hours reading reviews on this one, so I wasn't completely blindsided by it.
It just can't be recommended, though.
Even with a solid background in what the game was *trying* to do, it took me literally 90 minutes just to figure out how to make six characters and form a party with them. Fifteen more minutes (and some looking up on the internet) to sort out equipping items....so needlessly painful.
Once i figured out how to perform even the most basic tasks, like making characters, equipping them, camping, using the map, etc. the game wasn't awful. But it wasn't real good either - its basically a two-star game once you move past it's major issues. But that's it, at best two stars. Even if the thing was free, who wants to play a two-star game with their valuable time? The Wizardry - Proving Grounds remake is exponentially better (and highly recommended), and even the old Elminage games are notably better, and sell for less. Do yourself a favor and just move past this one.
The game does allow you to re-configure key bindings, which is nice, and I would highly recommend, if you insist on playing it.
One thing of note on this game as well; the se#ually suggestive anime graphic portrayal of child-like characters, and the arguably even more se#ually suggestive sound effects give me the creeps big-time. :(

Wizardryがスマホアプリで出たので（やってないが）、少しやってみたいなという好奇心からやってみた。
自分は、その昔、BUSIN（だっけ？）というプレステ２のソフトで、難しくてすぐにやめた口であった。ただ、難しいというリアルさを感じることができることに若干の面白さを感じていた。そして、２０年ほどの月日は流れ、これをやってみた。
結果、おススメできない（笑）
キャラクリエイトをしている時（家族や友達の名を使い・・・）、ダンジョンに潜っての冒険、、、ここまでは良かったのだが、その先が詰まってしまった。どうしても進まず、攻略を見た。すると、ダンジョンのｘ、ｙこの地点に行かないと、イベントが起きません、、、とのことであった。・・・そんなの通り過ぎたし、わかるか！（怒）という、昔ながらの恐ろしい不便さというか面倒臭さを感じたのだ。その「この地点に行ったらイベントが起こり、次はこの地点」という攻略を見て、もし、攻略を見なければ、そのポイントを探すまでの『時間の無駄！』を強く感じた。
現代のゲームは親切すぎるのか？いや、この不親切さは、「楽しむ」ことはできない。ということでおススメはできない。
しかし、ダンジョンを自分のクリエイトしたキャラで冒険するロールプレイングというところまでは良かった。
Die eindeutige Entscheidung auf Daumen rauf oder Daumen runter ist so einfach nicht möglich, aber zu einer Rezension gehört das nun einmal dazu. In Anbetracht der gespielten Zeit ist Daumen rauf die konsequentere Entscheidung.
Das Spiel ist ein Dungeon Crawler, wo das über 30 Jahre alte Wizardry VI schon mehr Story hatte. Man muss also schon ein großer Liebhaber von Spielen dieser Art sein, aber genau dann erfüllt es diese Erwartungen.
Auch wenn man sicher viel mehr aus den Möglichkeiten hätte machen können. Viele Dinge wie die Gesinnungen, der extreme Zufall oder die überspringbaren Fallen sind von der Grundidee nett, aber irgendwie nicht konsequent zu Ende gedacht.
Dennoch macht das Spiel Spaß, wenn man einmal reingekommen ist.
Such a great game. Wizardry is a fun game I hope more people give it a try. Hopefully someday we can see others come to steam.

まぁWiz未経験者はこのゲームの理不尽さを楽しめないだろう。
あと絵柄がWizにふさわしくない。初代ファミコン版のほうがデザイン秀逸。
絵柄が安っぽく、ソシャゲのエロゲレベル。まぁ低予算で作った感じがプンプンする。
ストアページ右上に表示されている王女様みたいな人の絵柄と同じ力の入れ方でですべての絵をかいてもらってたら相当評価は変わっている。

まだ序盤しかやっていませんが、とっつきやすいwizardryだと思います。魔法の習得が早いので、上級職でスタートしても問題なく進めることが出来ます。

Essential setup tip for playing on PC: Remap "Confirm" from 'Z' to the enter key. This will save wear and tear on your pinky finger 'enter' is vastly more convenient to the arrow pad.

BUSINやエルミナージュなどのwiz系のゲームをやったことがある場合
このゲームは駄作と言わざる負えないですね
理由は、ダンジョンがシンプルすぎるし、全滅の緊張感もないし
宝箱のうま味もないです。敵からの直接ドロップが全てです
そのような理由から戦ってる感だけてな感じですし
装備品のパワーアップも結局似たように感じになるでしょう
侍だと刀→ブシドー→ムラクモブレード→クリア！やるこみでマサムネ
他の職業も似たような感じで武器の選択肢も似たようになります。
侍のスキル、司祭のスキルが強力すぎて、戦士や騎士、忍者などがほぼ活躍できませんでした。
クリア後のやりこみで騎士をつかったぐらいかな(￣д￣)
戦闘のテンポも遅いですし、攻撃魔法なんて後半だと飾りになりますし
ボタン押しぱなしで文字送りもできないので力が強い人だとコントローラーのボタンが陥没するんじゃないかな(￣▽￣;)

妈的，这游戏的开发商是吃了屎了吧？在试炼迷宫10层一个二三十级的怪用技能能瞬间秒我八十、九十级二三千血的角色？你咋不上天与太阳肩并肩呢？是谁这么黑心设计成这个屌样的？一到试炼迷宫第9层怪就疯狂开状态技能打你，而且每回合总有一个角色中负面状态技能，中了状态技能大多就战斗不能了，如果你队员有奶妈或者有对应的治疗药还好，两样没有的话，很不幸我两样都没有，因为我角色中的是石化状态，而且商店里好像没卖解石化的药，那你肯定没多久就要退出地牢到寺院治疗好几个角色了，特别是第10层几乎每种怪都能发负面状态技能的，特别是石化，我曾经一场战斗下来6个角色有3个角色中了石化了，吓得我立马退出迷宫治疗，然后重进第10层迷宫一直逃跑避免战斗，操~有哪个游戏敢这么牛X的？一堆二三十级的怪能撵着6个八十、九十级的角色跑的？我想没有了吧？只要你在第10层战斗一场，几乎每回合就有一个角色中负面状态技能，第一个迷宫就这样难了，谁还敢玩啊？居于这游戏的设计极其的不合理，因此我给出了差评，这游戏简直谁买谁懵逼。

Man, I love Wizardry and the aesthetics of this one are top notch. 6-8 are amazing and will always be in my heart, but this one is the best. Utterly addictive.
A pure gameplay experience. No fancy animations or action gameplay elements. Instead, you must be careful, plan your economy, and do your best to level up your characters to survive. Grinding is a must but for every encounter there's a chance for valuable items to drop so that's an exciting element to it. The character art is nice but also, each class has their plus. Thief, priest and mage is a must for my gameplay style.
Sure, there are reviews out there that speak of how difficult this is but it's just very different from the typical modern gameplay experience. As someone who was looking for something "new", I am happy that I took a shot at playing this old-school classic game known as Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls!

I was introduced to Wizardry with Wizardry 8, which led me to liking dungeon crawlers in the vein of this game. Unfortunately, this game doesn't quite scratch the itch that I have due to a handful of issues that, were there only one or two of them, I'd be fine with.
My first issue with the game is character creation. Five races, not a bad selection even if they're all effectively Humans With Different Names + Actual Humans. (Human, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, and Porklu. No, I do not know what a Porklu is.) What stood out to me with prior Wizardry games was the inclusion of races like the Rawulf, the Dracon, and the Lizardmen, a lack of similar option is less fun for me. This, plus the random nature of your bonus attributes on character generation means you're effectively refreshing until you get a high bonus, which can be time consuming and boring.
Another issue I have is that the UI is not particularly intuitive, and there were a few moments of a lack of feedback for me to know if something I did actually worked. (Like using a torch to light up a dark area, only for literally nothing to happen.)
This isn't even going into the 'Growth Seeds' that are basically a bandaid for the aforementioned random bonus attributes that started out as a microtransaction and got retooled into something that just doesn't really fit.
I personally don't recommend the game, but if you do, all the more power to you.

Once you tinker around with the keybindings that are only available before you get into the game, you should be able to navigate this controller-designed game with ease. This is a Wizardry game (i.e. Blobber, DRPG) where you will grind (and grind) and fight your way through some sinister mazes. Luckily, there are several purchasable maps from the start in the game that will help out. While I liked doing the pen and paper mapping as a kid, I don't have the patience for it anymore. At 14 hours in, my party is around lvl 14 and I am in the mid-range of two of the three dungeons. There is a third I have not gotten to yet. I started Wizardry back with Wizardry 1 a billion years ago, but if you liked Etrian Odyssey, you might be able to find a home here.

すべてのトロフィーを解除した後に解除される最後のトロフィー、「100% Cleared」というトロフィーだけが解除できず、未解除の状態が続きます。このため、実績の解除は36/37で止まったままです。これはバグとしてすでに報告されていますが、まだ修正されていません。
Definitely more for hardcore Wizardry fans, but I am one of those, so this hits the spot for me. The main issue is a lot of QA & QoL are desperately needed as I can't see non-blobber fans tolerating the hosts of issues ranging from utterly bizarre keyboard/mouse input, bad sound/voice quality (peaking and turning distorted in your ears, ugh), atrociously low RNG for items and chests, a weirdly abrupt ending and more. But one very positive aspect is save anywhere, which saves me from trekking all the way back to town to save. But having just one save slot also means it is very easy to mess things up with your save file as well (like accidentally saving when your whole party is wiped, whoops! The unsubtitled Japanese voices and anime-ish aesthetic also don't bother me. IF all of these don't seem like big issues to you, then give this a try, as the underlying core mechanics of Wizardry is very addicting and fun, and the sheer pleasure of the combat is just unmatched in RPG-dom, IMO. The monster art are quite compelling too, even if they don't animate. Just don't expect something of the level of Crusaders of Dark Savant/8/Tales of the Forsaken Land and you'll have fun.

While not a bad game per se, I wouldn't recommend buying it, especially in 2024.
It's just too uninspired. The dungeon levels, the encounters, the equipment, the races/classes... nothing stands out or gets used in a clever way. I explored 8 dungeon floors before geting bored and didn't experience a single interesting maze area or battle. I barely even got any status effects, just one or two poisons from chest traps. Wizardry 1 was released in 1981 and understood better how to use these to create tension and drain player's resources.
If you want an old-school dungeon-crawler / DRPG in the classic Wizardry style, there's far better options - get Wizardry: Five Ordeals, Undernauts or Elminage Gothic/Original here on Steam, or emulate Wizardry: Tale of the Forsaken Land for PS2.

With some makeover to lure the wizardry fans. I'd rather be playing the classic 8 than this.

I really wanted to like this one. It had the boring square 20x20 grids that I love to map, and it seemed like there were a number of quests and so on. But trying to piece together how to make it work with a keyboard was just too much. A manual would have been nice. A help screen. A something. Sure, I picked up a few things. Z for enter, X for cancel, QW to rotate through entries. CTRL-S for some reason, but not CTRL-anything else. Never did figure out what the correct key sequence was to read a @#()%(* map.
And to boot, every time you ran into a wall it sounded like a Japanese porno. No. Just... no.
I should be spending my time trying to figure out puzzles and kill monsters and level up, not trying to make the game just @#)$( work.

Guessing I should have done more research. I miss the old Wizardry and might and magic type dungeon crawlers. I can't completely put my finger on it, but this does not feel the same.
Should have just bought the originals on Steam 5-6-7-8 are available and all of them are better than this.
Black walls / Japanese voice shouts / bumping into walls / terrible lighting even with Light spell.
Id rather go play some D&D on a commodore 64 / 128 lol.

Then h-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o b-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-i, is this a gala day on your street! Party like it’s 1981. Immerse yourself in a time capsule, where basically nothing has changed since the original Wizardy, but some (!) of the textures. The average of the international game industry has matured. The designers started to work for the players, instead of against them. Even the notoriously bad Dark Souls games are way easier than arcade garbage and the first CRPGs.
So they called this series “Renaissance” to pretend that this is nostalgic throwback, and isn’t just a fast super cheap cash-grab with minimum man-hours put into anything. No need to balance the game, when randomness is the core mechanic. This thing copies the original 1981 game almost entirely, only some of the truly worst elements were removed. The only thing that saves Meikyu is the sad lonely solitary save slot with the ability to save anywhere.
So the game is absolutely demented and inexcusable in so many ways. It is pure randomness with no mechanics. There’s barely any story; there’re barely any graphics; there’s barely any gameplay; and the controls just suck.
Like, this is literally first-Wizardry-era game with all the bad decisions. But not all of them related to the difficulty. There are also some quirks which are just weird, and aren’t used anymore. You have the “main” main hero, but it still isn’t main main main. You can create a protagonist for every combination of a gender and a race, or you can create generic adventurers in the guild with the same combinations, but slightly different sprites. And any character that is not currently in the party is available to hire in the guild, so you can have a party of six protagonists. Which doesn’t change anything but the sprite. They still can die die die while being in someone else’s party. Playing the full-house is advantageous only if you want to finish each protagonist’s tiny personal side-quest. And even that is unnecessary, since each next one can just hire the first protagonists high-level party with all the maps and all the spells.
The Steam release gives you Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls – Growth Fruit DLC for free and it allows you to get bonus points once per save file. With it it’s way easier to pick an advanced class for your first character. (You would think) this helps the new players who do not know what to expect. But after you play a number of hours you realize that this is really not necessary, in so many ways. Especially not for your second (and subsequent) character.
Unlike the modern proper deserving dung-crawlers, you just run like a headless chicken in an empty boring labyrinth with no level-design, hoping that you will be randomly attacked by RNG, and then “fight” by pressing (X) many times. And all of that is randomised. You can be attacked by one dead horse to beat after an hour of wandering. Or by a giant pack of 15 enemies, out of which a half can get bored and go away, or the same amount can join in. All you do is just grind your luck and save-load on death. You can resurrect a fallen member with high level magic or in the temple, but i saw people claim that this lowers their vitality “permanently”. So i would advice to save often and just [Alt]+[F4] when someone dies in the early game. Especially considering that the resurrection can fail and damage the carcass. Which can be healed again by even higher level of a spell. And if that fails your high-level goon is lost forever. Press [Alt]+[F4] to pay respects.
You can save out of battle, but you cannot load from in-game. You have to exit to the main menu. You cant open the menu during a battle. Also you need to be very careful not to over-write your only save-file with a bad situation. That’s why [Alt]+[F4] is the safest bet in every bad situation.
In the late game your characters die all the time and it’s basically unavoidable. It’s easier to just resurrect everyone, than to try and find a fight where no one dies. And people say that there’s a cap for the stats, so if that is true, no matter ho many vitality you lose, it will come back with level-ups.
You cannot rest to heal or restore spells, you cannot heal for free. But that’s not a mechanic just an inconvenience. You leave the dungeon, use all your healing spells, then go hobo near the inn for free, which restocks the spells. And that makes the whole paid inn mechanic an atavism. There’s literally no reason there’s no auto-heal when leaving the dungeon. Not in the mechanics, not in the lore — it’s magic.
Leveling is not exciting since you have no involvement in it. You just randomly get some stats. So randomly, that on a level-up they all can go down. Of course there are also enemies that level you down. All the magic is predetermined, there are very few spells and you get all of them anyway. There’s no mana to upgrade, you just can cast 9 times a spell out of four, inside a category. You can get into an epic fight, get a lootbox of the best quality, and pull a 10$ torch out of it, if you even survive. But then again, the shop doesn’t re-stock, so the gold = exp with additional steps. You just spend everything in the temple. The run-away button is near the class-skill button and it has no confirmation. The game has fake mouse controls so it’s super easy to run from a giant fight that you’ve almost won.
And the controls are absolutely insane. It’s a combination of an archaic design paradigm, with archaic GUI, and archaic gamepad button limit. It’s hard to describe with words just how sucky it is to navigate all these archaic nested one-dimensional menus with these fake controls.
♥♥♥♥ these controls; ♥♥♥♥ these dungeons; ♥♥♥♥ these graphics; ♥♥♥♥ this game.
A reasonable tribute to the original
セール中で安く買った割にプレイ時間がかなり行ったのを考えればおすすめかなと。
プレイ時間の半分以上はトロフィー取るための放置時間だったりしますがそれでも100時間は行ったので。
面白かったかと言われるとそれなりですかねぇ、少なくとも期待を裏切られるようなことは無かったです。
主人公システムだけはなんで導入した…？とは思いましたが。
awesome progressive dungeon crawler
한국어 지원만하면 얼마나 좋았을까... 아무튼 위저드리의 전통을 이은 DRPG는 귀합니다. '주인공' 시스템이 조금 생경하긴 하지만 어쨌든 위저드리는 위저드리. DRPG의 팬이라면 한 번쯤은 세일 할 때 사서 발 담가보는 정도는 괜찮겠죠.

La raison pour laquelle je ne le recommande pas sur Steam est qu'il est IMPOSSIBLE de jouer en mode "plein écran". Alors on se trouve dans une fenêtre...
C'est vraiment dommage car on perd toute l'immersion du jeu...
Je voulais revivre ce jeu l'ayant eu sur mon PS3 mais là, ce n'est vraiment pas comparable.

I LOVE this game, it's nostalgic, ass destroyingly difficult, and just throws you into it. it is not new player friendly in the best way possible.
It Should be Clear however that this is a Port of the PS3 game. It is however an EXTREMELY good port, and works VERY well. Controller is still the optimal way to play it, but it's not uncomfortable to play on keyboard either.
It very old school dungeon crawl click click kill kill ... if that is your thing its good. Graphics old and if you less than 35 years old lol you will likely hate it.

Incredibly playable and addictive. The UI is very functional for a gamepad though still could see a few farther improvements. Overall it is similar to Elder Scrolls Online for inventory and to Doom Eternal for its codex entries. It’s pretty much an items and stats grinder, with a little bit of story, with the exploration consisting of trying to clear each square of a dungeon floor map before advancing deeper and starting to encounter stronger enemies. Gameplay could be refined and improved also, the enemies are generally pretty dumb, the “1 hp hits” are strange (I guess these are hits deflected or absorbed by armor, and could be indicated as such), and save scumming is mandatory, though could be totally avoided, due to how the stats have a tendency to decrease at random when advancing a level, which is a totally unnecessary mechanic. It would probably take about 200 hours for a casual player to finish this.
Generally solid Wizardry-type-game. The UI and controls are very bizarre, the sound situation is really bad (voice files playing over each other and clipping constantly), character portrait situation is dire (only one per race/sex, no import, no changing). In general the game feels much more "bootleg" than Elminage which until now I've thought of as a bootleg Wizardry.
I do think Elminage Original is MUCH better overall if we're talking hardcore dungeon crawlers with basically zero story but this is alright. The endgame is kind of a huge bummer though: no direction/motivation whatsoever and just tons and tons of instadeath and level drain in every encounter.

Its just an endless dungeon grind with no story and paper cut outs for characters. Pretty sure they whipped this mess up in an afternoon for mobile. If you came in looking for something like Tale of the Forsaken Land I would advise you do not bother. All the characters look the same. The races dictate what classes are effective. The class list is laughably limited. Character development is nonexistent. The grinding is boring and endless.... If you are a fan of the original Wizardry games this is more of the same with a facelift. If you came in after playing Wizardry Tale Of The Forsaken Land as I did this will prove a massive disappointment.

I have fond memories of playing the original Wizardry in green and black, and then the next seven over the years. Most people don't understand the legacy of these games, games which today many would consider quaint at best, but they set standards and tropes for everything from anime to Final Fantasy to Doom. Its hard to understate the influence that games like it, Ultima, Rogue, and others had on the industry, so I was excited to learn that a Japanese company had picked up the IP and carried it forth.
Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls is a faithful successor to the storied games that it descends from. Because it is so faithful, many modern audiences will no doubt consider it "quaint" or run away in horror. Where I still found aspects of it enjoyable, one downside is that the game's mechanics are so faithful to the original Proving Grounds that it inherits some of the less desirable aspects - character creation is a matter of assigning a random # of points to you attributes. That RNG can be, from my experience, anywhere from 6 to 40 (the max I recall getting in the original was only 20 something). This encourages you to waste time just rerolling your character until you get something awesome. That's not actually fun, and a niche of game design that most folks have moved past.
Unfortunately, this iteration of Wizardry has extremely swingy RNG ranges. By way of example, I had one character gain only 4 hp when they went up a level, while another gained nearly a hundred. When you have foes that can smack you for for anywhere between 1 and 1700+ at a time, that range becomes significant. The game encourages scrum saving when you are near going up a level, and that's just an annoying feature.
The dungeon design is straight out of the originals: each level is a square and there are many levels connected by stairs and elevators. Fortunately, there's not much grinding, except to fulfill quest requirements, and boy do some require grinding, particularly the collect X number of items quests.
Where Labyrinth of Lost Souls lacks the depth of story and additional mechanics of Wizardry 6-8, it packs in more story than the original. That's not actually saying a lot, and the storytelling here can actually pretty frustrating. You can easily explore an entire dungeon only to learn you have to run through it again because a quest demands that you find something somewhere in it with little direction, and you must complete these quest check points in sequence. That becomes both boring and monotonous.
I am pretty sure its just nostalgia talking, but despite its flaws, I still had fun. That's also why I can't recommend it. It's niche. If you like that so old school its ancient feel, if you want a nostalgia binge, then this is for you. Otherwise, skip it.
Twelve Hours in &.... I love it! It's difficult but not impossible or unfair! Kinda hate the VO because whenever you heal a female member of your party she makes a very..uncomfortable moan......but otherwise the art(style) is beautiful & very immersive!
