Incredibly fun roguelike deckbuilder that just oozes charm everywhere you look at.
The game also has a pretty high difficulty ceiling compared to other card games (so take it into consideration if you're deciding to buy it).
But I can safely say that once the intricacy of the mechanics start to click it's awesome.
Your previous run influence the next run in interesting ways that forces you to think differently about how you approach the difficulty.
Normally when you play a roguelite the plan's to make a god run to demolish the last boss in the most overkill way, but this game likes to throw curve balls that constantly challenges what you cook up.
It's really unique and I can't recommend it enough.

Game seems very random at first, but generally you will have the information necessary to make the most of a situation and survive - there are players with winstreaks in the hundreds on the hardest difficulty.
The key to this game is to slow down and think several rounds ahead. You will sometimes have the opportunity to make ludicrously strong combos, which is very satisfying.
Pretty, but compared to other deckbuilders I found it both frustrating and a bit dull.
The cards and supported strategies are pretty basic, and while there are hints at more interesting stuff like summoning sacrificial units and sacrificing them for bonuses, those strategies require you to get very specific pulls to be functional and many of their cards are practically useless outside of said strategies. This much is common in deckbuilders and is solved by having many chances to pull new cards to find things that fit the strategy and to remove cards that don't fit, but Wildfrost offers fairly little opportunity to shape your deck compared to others. Strategies that aren't "buff your leader" are additionally vulnerable as your run ends if the leader dies.
The difficulty floor is also really high and mistakes are punishing, meaning even on the base difficulty you have very little room for experimenting. There are no revives, and no persistent pool of hp you can sandbag mistakes with. There are no forecasts for the outcome of a turn, so it is entirely up to the player to keep track of all interactions between the up to 12 units on the field. With most effects being so simple it isn't an unreasonable ask, but when a single mistake can lose you an entire run it would massively improve the experience.
Is it a terrible game? No. But the roguelike deckbuilder genre is very saturated and there are tons that are better than this one, especially if you like me enjoy the genre for the wild combos rather than chess-like precision.

У всіх юнітів на поле є лічильник, і за кожну зіграну вами карту, цей лічильник відраховує одиницю як у юнітів гравця, так і у всіх ворогів. Коли він доходить до нуля, то юніти атакують/активують свої ефекти. Фантастично свіжа механіка, яка вирізняє Wildfrost серед решти.
Також нема питань до інших основних механік, таких як апгрейдів карт, тасування колоди, розблокування нових фішочок тощо. По естетиці все топ, у гри своєрідний мультяшний стиль, який їй дуже пасує.
Єдиний гіммік, що не сподобався: (спойлер!) після перемоги в рані ваш герой і його команда стають босфайтом наступного рану. На словах не звучить як щось критичне, але чим краще у вас йде катка, тим більше ви стріляєте в ногу собі майбутньому. Відповідно видалив гру, коли створив монструозний білд, і нема бажання починати нову катку через це.
В цілому супер, з нетерпінням очікую на наступну гру від цих розробників.

I had this one gamepass for so long until I decided it was too expensive, one of the few gamepass games I NEEDED, it is 100% worth the buy. Very fun game, it gets a tad dull after a while (hours upon hours), but it’s 100% perfect if you want to sit down and play for 30 minutes after work or school, I also recently learned it has steam workshop support, and the few mods I’ve tried have been STELLAR.
Wildfrost's difficulty can be absolutely brutal sometimes but it's a great deckbuilder. I'd like to give a massive shoutout to the overall artstyle of the game. The art is just amazing.

Fiction does not preserve life; it examines its ending. Through stories that never truly lived, we confront the certainty that all things must eventually fade. Reality often hides this truth behind routine and distraction, but fiction has the freedom to remain where we feel most uneasy — in the presence of loss, suffering, and the slow collapse of what we believe to be permanent. In imagined worlds, cities fall, heroes fail, and lives end without warning, and in witnessing these endings we are reminded that our own world is no less fragile. It is through invention that we come closest to what is inevitable.
Today, I want to explore the importance of fiction through three ideas: first, that fiction forces us to confront mortality; second, that fiction reveals truth through suffering and uncertainty; and third, that fiction allows us to create meaning in a world where nothing lasts.
My first point is that fiction confronts us with mortality in a way reality often avoids.
From the earliest myths told beside funeral fires to the stories we read today, storytelling has always existed in the shadow of death. Ancient tragedies did not promise happy endings, and the oldest legends rarely offered comfort. Instead, they asked the same questions we still ask now: why do things end, why do we suffer, and how should we live knowing that everything we love will one day disappear? Fiction allows us to approach these questions without being destroyed by them. It gives us a place where we can imagine loss without truly losing, where we can watch the fall of worlds and return to our own with a deeper understanding of how temporary everything is. Without fiction, our knowledge would be limited to the small span of our own lives. With fiction, we are able to imagine the end of everything, and in imagining the end, we begin to understand the value of what exists before it is gone.
My second point is that fiction reveals truth through suffering and uncertainty, not by comforting us, but by confronting us.
Some stories refuse to reassure the audience. Some offer no justice, no safety, and no clear purpose. Yet it is often these stories that feel the most real. The game Fear & Hunger presents a world that feels less like a place meant for living and more like a slow descent into ruin. Its setting is hostile and indifferent, where survival is never guaranteed and suffering is never far away. Every step forward feels uncertain, and every mistake carries consequences. In this world, there is no promise that effort will be rewarded, and no certainty that the story will end well.
Yet it is exactly this harshness that gives the story its meaning. When the world offers no comfort, every small success feels significant. When hope is fragile, endurance itself becomes valuable. The game forces the player to continue even when the outcome seems pointless, and in doing so it reflects a philosophical truth: meaning is not given to us, but created by us, even when the world gives us no reason to believe it exists. By placing us in a fictional world where death is always close and nothing is guaranteed, the story reveals how people respond when everything familiar begins to collapse. Some surrender, some become cruel, and some continue forward simply because they refuse to stop. Fiction like this does not exist only to entertain. It exists to show us how we live when we are stripped of certainty.
My third point is that fiction allows us to create meaning in a world where everything is temporary.
Fiction is not an escape from reality, but a way of facing it more honestly. Through imagined suffering, we learn to recognise real suffering. Through fictional endings, we become aware of our own. Stories allow us to experience fear, loss, and uncertainty without being destroyed by them, and in doing so they prepare us for the moments in life when those things cannot be avoided. When we watch characters struggle against forces they cannot control, we see a reflection of the human condition itself — a life lived under the shadow of an ending that cannot be escaped. Fiction teaches empathy not by protecting us from this truth, but by allowing us to face it together.
In the end, what makes fiction important is not that it invents new worlds, but that it reveals the nature of this one. Everything that lives will fade. Every achievement will pass, every story will close, and every voice will fall silent. We know this, and yet we continue to tell stories. We imagine meaning in a universe that offers no certainty, and we search for purpose even when we know it may not last. This is not weakness. It is one of the most human things we do.
Fiction endures because, even as it speaks of death, it proves that the search for meaning survives it. Even in the presence of endings, we continue to create, to imagine, and to tell stories — and in doing so, we refuse to disappear quietly.
This game is fun, its got a lot of charm that i look for in other games, i like that it allows you to really push your units to extremes, so much so that you can make characters that one-turn entire bosses. The problem lies in the run after, when you're expected to defeat the god card that won your last run. Essentially, once you hit a certain power level or create a strong enough combo, you've ruined all of your future playthroughs, by being unable to defeat your previous run's champion. Its a compounding problem and sadly, i don't even want to play anymore despite having much more to unlock, its just not worth it to spend an hour on a single run just to be denied by the even better run I've been trying to beat for the past month. Simply put, bad design, and an unsustainable gameplay loop.
A cute roguelike that has risen to be one of my favorites in the genre. The difficulty is nothing to scoff at and the addition of modifier bells and some amazing mods have kept gameplay fresh!

This game is absolutely amazing, from the visuals, to the simple-yet-deep gameplay. Wildfrost has given me quite possibly the most fun I've had in any card game ever, and I still have so many more things to discover, try, and learn about the game. 10/10, fully recommend trying this out.

I regularly come back to do daily challenge. I don't do regular battles anymore, but I hope they add a mode where you get a random deck, similar to daily challenge, except you aren't restricted to one try a day.
Speaking of adding things, seems like there haven't been any updates for a long time. For me, this is the only bad thing about the game and I hope this game gets some more love soon. Well, there is modding, but I haven't tried it

fun and super underated card roguelike. I've never played slay the spire so I cant compare, but I really like the art style and music of the game - thats what got me into it.
BUT, the best part is all the combos, and the way the game lets you explore putting together new methods to absolutely shred enemies, all to have to find away to beat your previous op build. Some of the best dopamine rushes ive had in a roguelike lol

I remember playing the demo for Wildfrost when I was a kid, so when I saw it on sale I had to pick it up, and I’m really glad I did. Compared to other roguelike deckbuilders I’ve gotten into, this one feels way more intense and fast-paced while still keeping a super cute art style. It looks cozy at first, but the difficulty is no joke — one bad move can completely end your run, which happened to me every single time. The charming visuals tho carry. Sadly, it does feel a bit short. I really wish there were more tribes to experiment with and more than just one main route through the snow and ice. After a while, the same biome starts to feel a little repetitive.
Great little deckbuilder roguelike. Much more gameplay than I expected here, art and UI is highly polished and some fun interactions to find.
Among the roguelike deckbuilders I've played over time, Wildfrost stands to be one of my favourites if not THE favourite of all time. From the gameplay, the soundtrack, unique mechanics, the sound effects and graphics... yeah. It's adorable, challenging, and a game I go back to time and again.
Just keep in mind it's not a game that's getting anymore updates, but I still find it standing strong in it's genre. I really recommend getting it.

This was a nice and fun deck-building strategy game. It didn't end up becoming my favorite game of that genre, but it was fun enough that I decided recently that I want to play it again (after beating the final boss once).

Soft locked myself after beating the game the 1st time due to the way they designed the play-through that follows.
I understand the gimmick, but it's also a game breaking design that makes replayability annoying to the point where I'm not going to continue playing anymore.
Outside of this, the game is fun for the genre. I want to like it, but I'm very annoyed that my only time beating this game will be my only time beating it without 20+ hours of RNG luck to do it a 2nd time.
Please fix this. Create an alternate boss mechanic.

Wow, what a great game! The cards are neat and feel new in a genre that is frankly over-filled. I like that each of the clans feel distinct. The runs feel quite varied and it's surprisingly challenging in a fun way.
The best part is that the art is just so damn cute. I very highly recommend this game.

Innovative deckbuilder design; never played anything quite like this! Really fun; forced me to think about playing a deckbuilder in a new way! Very valuable if you've played a million of em and want something new!
Unfortunately the card variety is a bit low and you can only really have 3 non-hero characters by default. The default difficulty is also a bit too easy for the 2nd and 3rd clans. That said, this is definitely worth the cost of admission.

I like Wildfrost and I’m definitely sticking with it, but I do think it’s tough in a way that might turn a lot of people off. The game really punishes new players. You’ll probably have a ton of runs where you’re just stuck, barely getting anywhere. Then when you make bit of progress, one random mistake, like not knowing how to handle a new enemy mechanic, will send you straight back to the start.
It’s a trial-and-error process, which can be super frustrating because there’s no way to save and reload. A lot of the challenge comes from slowly getting better through incremental exposure, and the fact you pretty much have to play perfectly to get anywhere. For me, that’s where the fun fades a bit. I’d rather be able to restart a combat and figure out a strategy by correcting my mistakes in real time rather than trying to get everything right on the first try. You’ll make a lot of mistakes, and every time you do, you’re back at square one. I often see where I went wrong and know I could learn faster if I could just keep tinkering and retrying, but that’s not how the game is designed.
This isn’t like Slay the Spire, where you can blitz through your hand and enjoy really snappy gameplay. Wildfrost makes you think about each move, you have to reassess the field, move units, and play cards in the optimal order, every single turn. A lot of the negative reviews mention the RNG, but that's an innate feature of deckbuilders. It’s pretty clear that the game rewards patience, knowledge, skill, and strategy. It’s just that the learning curve is steep. If you’re looking for something you can pick up, chill out with, and immediately enjoy, this isn’t it. You’re going to need time and commitment to get good enough to actually have fun.
That said, if you’re into challenges, enjoy slow and methodical gameplay, and don’t mind being thrown into the deep end, this is your jam. The people who love this game REALLY love it. The mechanics are deep and rewarding, and once you figure things out, there’s a ton of room for creative, fun builds. Wildfrost maintains its own identity in the sea of roguelike deckbuilders, and while it’s not for everyone, it’s still a great game. It’s just got a specific audience, and that’s totally fine.
The game definitely knows what a roguelike deckbuilder is all about. Mechanics are fun, core game loop is fun, game balance is good*, the art is really cute, and the concept has flavor. you won't regret purchasing this if you're into the deckbuilding genre.
[b]Balance:[/b] The game's balance in a vacuum I could actually say is quite weak, some cards are definitely stronger than other cards in a non-funny way, and there are plenty of simple combos that you can stumble upon that just makes the whole run trivial. But what makes this not a problem is that combat has a high skill expression, in which having a strong deck alone isn't usually enough (most of the time). Because of this though, the game could be quite punishing, but it's also something the player could accept as their shortcoming rather than the game being too unbalanced.
[b]Gameplay:[/b] Though it's unconventional for a deckbuilder to not be so concerned of all-around deck synergy and sometimes even health, I also see it as one of its strengths. The game can basically boil down to finding 1-3 interactions or a few synergistic cards, and then maximizing them through upgrades and then trying to execute your strategy in combat.
[b]Replayability:[/b] Your mileage may vary, but I think you'll hit it once you have a certain level of skill expression, at that point (it was around 25 hours for me) the game does feel less fun to play and more repetitive, especially with the limited card pool. There are achievements and the ending that you can grind too though, and attempting those challenges definitely squeezed a good chunk of time out of the game, but unlike Slay the Spire, this game would probably be somewhat of an itch scratcher from time to time, it's still good though of course! It's just something you can get tired of quickly after a certain point, I'll probably boot it up once or twice a week maybe.
Surely not winable for casual gamers or people with lifes but it's fun regardless and the style, animation and music is very nice

I have been playing Wildfrost ever since its launch. There used to be balance issues such as turn 0 infinites or practically invincible final bosses, but those have been patched out. What remains is an extremely good roguelike.
Wildfrost punishes every single mistake you make. You misjudged the turn order? Dead.
You overlooked an enemy's special effect? Dead.
You failed to anticipate how the boss will pressure you several turns into the fight? Dead.
You identify your win-condition, and playing according to it wins you the fight? Satisfaction.
You build a deck that does not just die to the first boss? Satisfaction
You find exponential interactions that - by some unknown magic - carry you to victory? Satisfaction.
You somehow outmaneuver all the pitfalls the game throws at your theoretically overpowered deck? Satisfaction.
This game has thinking, it has stress, it has risks, and learning about the dozen pitfalls that can and will kill you sure is frustrating. But losing in Wildfrost is never unfair. Losing means being punished for mistakes. Make no mistakes, build a deck that packs a punch, and you win. And trust me when I say: Every single card in this game can shine in the right deck. That was always extremely important to me, and while it was certainly not the case at launch, it is true now.
So from the art style to the music, from the design to the gameplay, from the difficulty to the gratification, this game is perfect. It is one of my favorite games of all time.

ワンミスでゲームオーバーになるようなゲーム設計で難易度高めではあるが、各カードとお守りの様々なシナジー、またそれらを初手に持ってこれるクラウンを使ってデッキを作り調整していく楽しみは、正にデッキ構築ローグライクの真骨頂
カード配置、点数計算、リドロー周りの調整、コンボするための準備…などいろいろな要素を考えながらプレイするゲームが好きな方はぜひ遊んでみて欲しい
カードやお守りをアンロックするのに実績解除が必要で難しいお題も多く面倒に感じたが、ゲームに慣れさえすれば敵グループのギミックを活用するとサクッとクリアできたりするし、よく作り込まれていると思う

This is my favorite Roguelike Deckbuilder. Everything from the art/animations to the sound/music is so charming. The gameplay is addicting and so fluid with how you can freely move units to get the perfect interaction on the battlefield.

以下試著從側面來介紹這款遊戲:
1.遊戲整體流程短(一輪約1小時),輸了就從頭再來；如果贏了,你的陣容會被複製,蠻有趣的設定
2.每次能拿到的資源非常隨機(池子大),使每次的戰術和容錯率都不一樣,帶來不一樣的遊戲體驗
3.遊戲本身不算複雜,但深度很夠! 所有的後果幾乎都計算得出來,通盤考量會讓節奏慢一點
4.玩家的戰力很大一部分取決於運氣,逆風、牌組效率不佳會很容易導致失敗,更不用說操作失誤,運氣就像是一個放大器,如果不善加利用,就算有好的機會可能也會打得很辛苦
5.容錯率不高,因為敵人的數值都是碾壓玩家,打到後面壓力會比較大,其實沒有那麼休閒
6.不過只要多跑幾輪搞懂遊戲怎麼玩、永遠都做出最佳選擇,要輸其實也沒那麼容易
再來是一點小抱怨,我認為卡片&特性的說明可以再更清楚一點,有時候得靠盲猜。再來是數值的設計問題,許多角色的三圍跟能力並沒有取得適當的平衡(尤其是領主),可能是想拓池子或是增加"機率性"吧,不過做法有點拙劣,我覺得沒有必要
我的遊戲心得補充:
1.這款遊戲的整體戰略應該要側重攻擊,組建暴力隊伍是破關的底層邏輯,上一輪被複製了什麼不重要
2.細部操作的部分,每一回合除了站位微調、計算當下後果還有規劃兩三回合後的候選行動以外,也不能忽略重新洗牌的機會成本(如果牌組夠有效率,有時候寧願什麼都不做也要洗牌);另外,有時候直接攻王是最有效的戰術
3.戰鬥外養成就像一般的卡牌遊戲,組牌的時候要根據現有的牌去制定中心戰略,並隨著遊戲進度適當選牌(或是刻意不再加牌)以及砍牌,接著精算資源投入的效果、試著把效用最大化,甚至發展出綜效

This is one of the cutest, most fun 'roguelike' games I have ever played. I love Balatro, but there's something about the adorable cast, the fun modes, and the interesting combinations that keep me coming back.
Absolutely loving Wildfrost, its got some unique challenges and its super easy to lose a couple hours without noticing. It has some frustrating mechanics and can sometimes feel unfair but that's part of its charm.

Juego sencillo de entender y dificil de dominar, debes pensar detenidamente en las mas altas dificultades, la curva de aprendizaje y dificultad es bastante buena, es un juego divertido que te permite romperlo mucho de formas especificas y te recompenza por intentar, probar y pensar, buena opción para un roguelike si quieres probar alguno
This is a very fun Roguelite Deckbuilder with a lot of cool mechanics.
You can bring a limited amout of units to each fight, who you can customize in the run with charms (the same you can do with spells). Each card can have a max of 3 Charms so you can do a lot of interesting combinations. Give your tank unit a charm for multistrike, one for retaliate and one where they get a shield whenever they kill an enemy and you have created a super strong unit.
There are countless different combinations and you can truly create the build you want (which is exactly what you want from this kind of game)
The combat is also really fun. You can reposition your units freely and plan each round how to perfectly play it.
Every unit (that has an attack) needs a number of rounds until they can act. Whenever you play a card every units (yours and the enenies) cooldown ticks down and when it reaches zero it attacks.
You don't redraw your hand when you play a card, but can spend a turn discarding the rest of your hand and redrawing to handsize. After four turns (i.e. playing 4 cards) you can redraw you hand for free instead of paying a turn for it.
All of this allows for interesing play where you not only plan the current turn, but also what to play next turn etc. "This enemy will attack next turn, so freezing them then is enough, so I can play a unit now so they can tick down their attack timer" "I really want to redrawn and its free right now, but then I have to discard my hand and want to keep this card". Things like that.
Now why is this a negative review when I had so much fun? The issue is with one mechanic, which totally ruines the whole game for me. Minor spoliers ahead on what happens when after you win your first run (which won't take you long).
After winning a run your units (i.e. leader, pet and 3 allies) will be "corrupted" and become the boss on your next run, which is very cool thematically.
The issue is that they wil have the same charms and buffs they had when your run ended. They also receive a major buff to all stats (e.g. normally units are aroung a max of 10-15 health, your previous leader will have about 90 hp as a boss).
That is a problem though, because you will likely have built a very overpowered combo last run (as one tends to do in these games), which means the boss fight is so incredibly hard, that it feals unfair.
This means the game is activerly punishing you for having created a fun and powerful built. The only chance you have to win the run now is to create a meta build that is designed to beat you previous team.
More then that: After you went through this BS one time you will not want to "win" the game with a good team. More likely you will quit the run when you built an extremely powerful team as to not have to fight it.
So you choices are to:
1. Build a bad team and putting all you charms on the other cards (like spells) in your deck, as only the units become the boss, which can be fun for a few runs, but doing that always becomes boring fast.
2. Quit each run right before the final boss (or right before you beat them), which also feels bad because you buiit a good team and are not allowed to win with it.
3. Accept that, when you win with a strong team, you will probably not win again any time soon and just accept the constant losses.
4. Meta-Game the Bosses and Rock-Paper-Scissor circle your decks so you can beat the previous teams.
I personally just want to start a run, create a fun combo and see where it gets me. This mechanic completely destroys this for me as I can't just have fun and expect to win,
This "issue" was discussed in the steam forums 2 years ago and it still exists in the exact same way, so I have little hope it will ever change. Such a huge shame
A really fun deckbuilding roguelike. It's very punishing if you make a mistake, but also rewards careful planning. Love the art style. Engaging gameplay. What's not to like?
Interesting mechanics and beautiful artstyle. Despite its lighthearted presentation, Wildfrost is a rather difficult deckbuilder that expects you to plan ahead and heavily optimize the interlocking systems of your build. The final boss being your deck from the previous run, this game is a rewarding journey of self-improvement and self-punishment.
Truly one of the most unique roguelite deckbuilders I know and played on Steam. Slay the Spire did a lot of damage by making the standard deckbuilder games almost the same, but with slightly different mechanics. This game has its own identity within the same genre, and beyond its beautiful art (and its really charming), the game is very unique with its mechanics and knows how to push them to break the game in a very fun way. At first, some mechanics seem broken against you, but in reality every mechanic has its broken side but, with knowledge, you can break every single run.

It's neat! I like it. It has a pretty meaningful twist on the Roguelike Deckbuilder formula with the unit manipulation that gives the game a really fascinating angle to consider. It DOES make the game feel like it needs SIGNIFICANTLY more intentional play than, say, Slay the Spire. Though if you aren't blitzing through cards and like to think through lines of play, it's a fun challenge to be rewarded more for sequencing and deliberateness.
It's just way too hard. I can never get past the first boss.

Just finished my first 10-bell run and I'm actually shaking a bit. Which is weird for a turn-based game.
Bought it for the cutesy artstyle, played obsessively for three weeks because of all the fun and goofy mechanics you can use to create a deck of unstoppable monsters or barely scrape across the finish line by the skin of your teeth.
Love the gameplay, love the art, the music is amazing, I love everything about it but after clocking in ~83 hours in three weeks, I think I need a break.
Edit: So I didn't take a break and instead spent ~187 hours getting a gold frame on every card.
Still a whole-hearted recommendation: 10/10

Genuinely one of the most fun and unique roguelikes out there. Wildfrost to me, seems inspired from, yet interestingly innovates upon the unit focused deck builder Monster Train. If you enjoyed monster train, you'll almost certainly enjoy this game. This game departs from its contemporaries in how it constructs a dynamic battlefield, with which you can move around your units freely to create the most ideal scenario using both the units and the cards in your hand to clinch the advantage. The game incorporates a turn based feature which determines when any individual unit acts creating a game where you have to constantly thinking about how to solve your next problem. With regards to difficulty, it isn't the most difficult thing out there, but expect to be challenged. Overall its one of my favorite rogue-likes and is definitely worth playing for fans of the genre.

Game is well made but the final boss is created in a way where i screwed myself for future runs without knowing it. This is not good design and just unfun. I dont mind games being hard but it should not have been done in this way.
Wildfrost est un jeu adorable mais ne vous y trompez pas : c'est le Dark Souls des deckbuilder. Il a pourtant tout pour plaire : ambiance enchanteresse, musique divine et vraie patte graphique qui portent un système de jeu superbe.
Mais si je continue d'y jouer, je ne peux pas le conseiller à cause d'une difficulté brutale. En plus de 70 essais, je n'ai jamais réussi à finir un run. Les combats ont peu de tours et demanderont une connaissance des mécaniques et une optimisation sans égale, sans quoi vous finirez par vous faire one-shot à la moindre erreur. A la différence de Monster Train par exemple, si votre champion meurt, la partie est terminée, et les game over sont donc sans pitié.
Si les tribus à jouer sont très sympas, celles des adversaires sont largement plus puissantes et feront tout pour vous défoncer à la moindre erreur. Elles ont des mécaniques hardcore à gérer : stacks de poison qu'on peut pas enlever, silence sur nos propres cartes pour pas avoir les effets, ennemis qui blessent dès qu'ils sont touchés... Bref une horreur à gérer même si vous connaissez parfaitement le jeu.
J'aimerais tellement conseiller le jeu mais comme il est court et qu'il vous sera extrêmement difficile de progresser, on a souvent l'impression de faire et refaire la même chose pour aller au casse-pipe. Sans doute la plus belle perle ruinée par l'équilibrage.
Great game, its fun that every battle feels like boss battle and it has a alot of replayability. I have played a little more than 50 hours now and still got things to unlock (might be a skill issue, you never know).

難易度は高めですが理不尽感は少なく、負ける時は自分のプレイングミスかビルド方針が曖昧であることがほとんどでした。
基本的にアタッカーは体力が低く、攻撃を受けると一、二発で倒されてしまうほどですが、
・タンク役のキャラや設置物で守る
・攻撃が当たらないようにアタッカーの配置を変える
・敵の攻撃ターンを調整する
・攻撃してくる敵を先に倒してしまう
・敵の攻撃力を下げて耐える
など、様々な手段で敵の攻撃をやり過ごせます。
このやり過ごしをいかにおこなうかが、このゲームの特に面白いポイントだと思いました。
操作性の面でも快適でUIもそこまで複雑ではなく、リトライはあまり苦にはなりませんでした。
あと、個人的にはBGMも結構気に入っています。

Well made, well presented, well well. Love the graphic design in this game, bright, cheerful and light hearted which belies the depths beneath in regards to the game mechanics. Different builds and synergies between character and items to be discovered. Just a pleasure to play.
A little Monster Train, a little Slay the Spire but ALLLL cute. This is well worth picking up, seems like there will be a lot of replayability.
This game is difficult, and I mean REALLY difficult. Even though I have had to walk away a few times and still have not been able to make a successful run, I simply love playing it. The cards and specific tribes (which serve as the deck of cards you use for your run) are well animated and fun. The art style is appealing and the theme of the game just works. When it comes to gameplay I think this game has aced the formula that games like "Slay the Spire" are known for. Even though the game is difficult, I don't think it is unfair. Mistakes are punished, so don't make them. Every game over is a lesson learned. If you like strategic deck building games, I don't think you can go wrong. Especially if you aren't turned off by a challenge.

This game needs the ability to undo a single move. Just one. Even if it's only once per run. Because every. single. thing. is so heavily randomized that when you make even a small mistake it can ruin the entire run and you just know you'll likely NEVER be able to even come close to that particular build ever again. There are just too many variables, and that makes things feel like a wasted effort.
Having played Sentinels, the ability to undo your most recent turn if you screw up is really nice, and I don't even find myself abusing it at all because it's only ever for those really small "oopsie" kind of moments, not broader strategy mistakes.
That being said, I somehow like this game anyway.
Crazy addictive... I have to intentionally avoid this game sometimes just to preserve my sanity. I can see the longevity and freshness each time new content drops. And the music ... so catchy!
Really fun game with charming art and music.
The game can be difficult because it is very information-dense. I've lost quite a few runs, but I never felt frustrated with my losses or blamed things on RNG. My losses were mainly because I missed a keyword or missed a card interaction.
There is also enough variety in playstyles where you can pivot your deck into a different direction, and still win the run. At least with the base difficulty, you're not forced to funnel into one build the entire time. My second win was initially going for a sacrifice win condition, but I ended up focusing on teeth and it was a pleasant surprise when things worked out.
I have to mention again how great the art and overall presentation is. My kid enjoys watching me play just to see all the fun characters.
It has many very unique and interesting mechanics, so there is a lot of room to experiment with different builds. It's always cathartic to find a particularly broken combo, but in this game, [spoiler]since you have to beat your previous teams, it may come back to bite you[/spoiler]. It's a must play for fans of the genre, and a good introduction for new players (it's not particularly hard to beat the first few bells)
my favorite deckbuilder of all time. the constant thinky strategy of moving your units around on a turn by turn basis makes my brain smile and helps ease my anxiety thru the level of focus it requires. the art is top tier adorable! this is truly the best the genre has to offer on so many fronts. I'm so glad I returned to it after hitting a wall that was a monster of my own making. SNOW and INK can get you past anything including your own frankenboss. you can win!! I believe in you! Wildfrost is a charming and approachable roguelike deck-builder where you gather companions, items, and upgrades while battling your way through a frozen world.
I really enjoy this game. It is a simple entry into the genre, but that does not make it bad. At the start of a run, you pick three characters from one of three factions, plus a starting companion. The faction you choose determines the kinds of cards you will see and the strategies you can build, giving each run a distinct identity.
The game is a lot of fun. Like any roguelike, there are moments where bad luck can make a run feel rough, but when your deck comes together, it is incredibly rewarding. The different builds feel unique, and the game is very easy to get into. One of my personal favorite builds is Overburn, where you don’t deal direct damage but instead apply a status effect that turns enemies into bombs. Once the effect exceeds their HP, they explode, damaging all enemies in the lane and potentially setting off a satisfying chain reaction. Watching it happen never gets old.
Mechanically, the game is solid and fair. It is easier than many other roguelikes, though achieving the true ending took me several attempts. For those looking for more of a challenge, the game includes optional modifiers that increase difficulty.
The presentation is excellent. I absolutely love the art style—characters are detailed, charming, and full of personality. It is clear that a lot of care went into the visuals. The music is enjoyable as well; it may not go into a playlist, but it complements the gameplay perfectly without ever feeling intrusive.
The one major drawback is how short the game feels. Roguelikes thrive on replayability, unlocks, and long-term progression, but Wildfrost runs out of content quickly. Because the systems are so strong, I found myself wishing for more: more cards to experiment with, more charms, more enemies, or even new mechanics to explore. Mods can extend the experience, but I prefer to judge the game on its base content.
My absolute favorite feature is that after you win a run, your winning deck becomes the boss for your next run. It’s a clever mechanic that adds a sense of continuity and stakes to your victories.

Игра часто ставит вас в безвыходные положения, не смотря на милую графику, сама игра до жути бескомпромиссна, внезапные ваншоты здесь - норма.
Но допустим вы не такой слепошарый как я, отсекаем фактор невнимательности игрока, что же у нас остаётся? Очень мало карт строго привязаны к отдельным кланам (местным "персонажам" в рамках жанра), от чего ваша колода в каждом забеге напоминает солянку одних и тех же механик и карт. Чармы же создают реальную реиграбельность и мотивацию пробовать новые связки юнитов, но когда вы перепробуете каждый архетип, наступает всё то же однообразие.
В целом это проходняк, брать по скидке.

I tried. I really tried. For tens of hours. Is it a difficult game? Not really. What it is is thoroughly infuriating. There is a good game in here, somewhere. But this good game desperate to shine is bogged down by so much unnecessarily random bvllshit that it is baffling. The random leader stats in the beginning is a shinning example of this. You can get, if you're lucky, 1 out of 9 that is worth anything, or you can just get 9 leaders with random stats that pretty much mean an automatic loss in higher difficulties, forcing you to get whatever, start a run, return to the menu, go back into the city and cancel the run just to see if you can get anything worth a damn this time around. In short, this game doesn't respect your time.
And don't even get me started on the charms. Another nice idea but 1) you are able to use your charms to strengthen both your characters and your cards but if you use them on your characters, you are indirectly punished for doing so; 2) most of the charms you unlock are either useless, downright disadvantageous or extremely niche. Meaning that completing your objectives and fulfilling achievements punishes you by filling your random pool with trash. A problem that many games of this genre have, true, but it is especially egregious here.
Are there things to like about it? There are. Otherwise I wouldn't have tried for so long. The potential is here. But, seriously, ♥♥♥♥ this game.
While I like the core concept, I think general execution (involving card and enemy abilities) is rather frustrating. Certainly will be people that like it, I just am certainly not one of them.
